Mission name: Pasi parupu payasam / Moong dal kheer Ground set up: Sabudana/sago/ javarisi - 1cup Moong dal/pasi parupu - 1cup Cow's Milk/coconut milk - 1cup Jaggerry syrup- 1cup Water - 1cup Cashew nuts - 20nos Raisins - 20nos Pound Elachi - 1no Ghee - 10tbsp Saffron strands - 1pinch Fried bits of coconut/grated coconut- 2tbsp No. of disasters per fire : 4persons How to launch: 1. Dry roast the pasiparupu/dal in a dry kadai until you get the aroma for about 3mins. 2. Soak the sago for about an hour. Place a pressure cooker and drop the 1cup sago + pasiparupu/dal with 1cup of water and pressure cook for about 2whistles. 3. Boil the milk and pour it with the cooked sago into the pressure cooker. 4. Add elachi + saffron and let it boil for about 10mins. 5. For the jaggerry syrup add 200gm jaggerry in 2cups of water and let it boil for about 5mins. Strain the jaggerry from the dust and pour 1cup into the kheer/payasam. 6. Pour ghee in a small kadai, roast the bits of coconut + raisins and cashew until the colour changes to golden brown and serve hot or cold. Mission launched: Yummy dessert that can be served hot or cold or warm Post mission expedition: 1. If you forgot to soak the sabudana/sago/ javarisi you can also dry roast it in a kadai until the transparent sago turns into a white ball and start boiling it in a pressure cooker. 2. Add the jaggerry at last because adding the jaggerry will stop the dal from cooking. Jaggerry syrup can be made and stored in fridge for about 2months. 3. Mission name: Paal kolukattai/ mini rice ball payasam Ground set up: Idiyapam flour - 1cup Idiyappam flour - 1tbsp (separate) Hot water - 1cup Salt - 1pinch Coconut oil - 1tsp Grated coconut - 1tbsp Cow's Milk - 1cup Thick Coconut milk - half cup Jaggerry - 2tbsp Ghee - 1tbsp Elachi -1no Saffron strands - 1pinch No. of disasters per fire: 4persons How to launch: 1. Boil 1cup of water, pour it into the idiyappam flour, add coconut oil + salt and mix it into a dough. 2. Make tiny balls and steam it in a steamer for about 10mins. 3. Place a milk pan and boil the milk. Drop the tiny balls into the milk and slimmer the stove for about 5mins. 4. Add elachi + saffron strands + ghee + grated coconut and allow it to boil for 2minutes in full flame. 5. Mix 1tbsp of idiyappam flour in 2tbsp of water and pour it into the boiling payasam. Let it cook for 2minutes in high flame. 6. Finally pour the coconut milk and turn off the stove and serve. Mission launched: An authentic South Indian dessert, this can be served after meals or as breakfast. Post mission expedition: 1. Adding idiyappam flour mixture atlast will give thickness to the payasam. 2. Garnishing it with nuts and dry fruits are optional. 3.
