Ooo, I love the thought of Tighnari and Cyno throwing flowers and petals to the Reader after a performance!! I can see the Reader blowing a kiss towards them both in response if they manage to see them in the crowd.

I’ve been thinking about some more Ballet/Tap dancer Reader from Fontaine with Cynonari scenarios I’d like to share again, I hope you don’t mind me talking about it some more, fgkjh-

So, I’m going to lean into the ballet dancer side for the next few thoughts/scenarios. I can’t help but imagine the Reader telling Cyno and Tighnari about their experiences in ballet; bad instructors, funny and happy moments, ballets they’ve been in, and opening up about any body image issues they dealt with along the way (more on this in a moment). In the world of ballet, there is a lot of pressure put onto you, both by instructors and yourself. Instructors correct you constantly (“Your footing is wrong, you need to do this…” “Your position is wrong, you need to that…” etc.) and you’re pretty hard on yourself as well. Linking back to the body image issue, in ballet, there is pressure to look a certain way, to attain bodily perfection. At first, the Reader really did struggle with this pressure, but has gradually built up their confidence in themselves over time. Although, if they do still deal with some body issues and insecurities, then Tighnari and Cyno will shoot down any negative thoughts and reassure/comfort them.

Reader: Imagine being required to show up for work each day dressed in a skin-tight leotard and leggings, where every perceived flaw is visible. Now imagine you spend most of your work-day surrounded by wall-to-wall mirrors, and you’re asked to constantly monitor your own appearance. That’s what it is like for ballet dancers. Overcoming the pressure to look a certain way was a pretty big challenge for me. 

Reader: “Will the crowd notice me if I am more attractive? Would they like me more if I was ten pounds lighter?” Those sort of thoughts ran through my head. I only saw what my instructors saw in myself - something that needed improvement.

Despite all the stress and hardship the Reader has endured, they still retain a love and passion for ballet.

On a more lighter note, I’ve been thinking more about the statement that Fontaine “revers true beauty and elegance” and trying to incorporate that into different displays of affection. One ‘elegant’ way I thought of was the Reader kissing their lovers’ hands. The thought of the Reader gently taking up their lovers’ hands and pressing their lips on their knuckles makes me so soft,,, And love letters!! Another way could be the Reader writing love letters to both Cyno and Tighnari. Also, I have this weird headcanon that courting in Fontaine is more ‘polite,’ if that makes sense?? (it’s mainly because Fontaine’s based off of 1910 France-) Like, opening doors for the person you like, offering an arm when you walk together, that sort of thing.

And the Reader learning more about Sumeru! The wildlife, the people, and everything else about it. They always have a wonder and curiosity about their surroundings.

Reader: Oh, wow! Tighnari, what’s this?

Tighnari: *looks over his shoulder*

Reader: *pointing to a pretty, but incredibly poisonous mushroom* :D ?

Tighnari: Okay first off-

I’ll give one more scenario with ballet dancer Reader- Parts of ballet dancers’ bodies can just crack at any time and they usually feel really sore. So when Reader cracks one part of their body Tighnari and Cyno just cringe at the sound-

Reader: (Ugh, my whole body aches…) *they flex their toes and the loudest cracking noise just,, goes off*

Cyno: *stops what he’s doing* *turns around*

Reader’s hip: *c ra ck*

I love it, I love it, gosh darn all of it

I can definitely see Cyno and Tighnari kind of paralleled their lives in the Akademiya with ballet reader's in the sense of their critic struggles. How despite art and academics are in the other end of the spectrum, the hardships weigh just the same in what they had to deal with

Hearing about the body issues and pretty much just knowing how important physique is (which is also kind of a weird thing for them both seeing as Cyno and Tighnari most definitely do not worry about looking good, not their priority pretty much, despite slaying so much), they do their best to assist in a more practical/applied way. Tighnari definitely would act like a dietician in keeping watch of their nutrient intake and suggesting meals

All a balanced diet, after all he's not a believer of cutting back in food, he knows that the best way to get in shape is to make sure that your food is carefully picked out in terms of the nutrients. Cyno in the other hand would help with exercise by either training (usually in the guise of combat) or just his daily routine of workouts, they like to do it near an oasis or any body of water so it would be refreshing.

Ballet reader does give me a regal vibe of like - a princess acting princely, elegant and androgynous somehow! Like in their tip toes, arm behind their back as they bow and take the hand of their lovers to kiss, a wink thrown in too as they do it. Cyno and Tighnari feel like princesses being charmed by their ballet prince haha

Oh oh and can't forget, I can definitely see them dancing on top of the huuuge mushrooms in Mawtiyima Forest after Tighnari showed them there accompanied by fireflies and the blue glows of the plants! It's so beautiful there for a ballet routine, Cyno and Tighnari always sneaks over to watch

And they also can make a popping sound on their knee when they move their leg a certain way too haha man, I wanna see how Cyno reacts when he sees how they break in their ballet shoes (bonus points if it was his gift to them too hahaha)

As I’ve mentioned, I did a little wedding thing for some TWST characters 👀 So for some context, the reader/you are going to go to a large family wedding that’s coming up. Which also means extended relatives! You didn’t want to go out alone, so you decided to invite your friend as a plus-one. This is mainly platonic, but reader/you and the characters are implied to have some Feelings™ for each other,, 👀 👉👈 [The mini headcanons may be a bit messy- I hope you don’t mind!!]

-Congratulations! You’ve just gotten the biggest family flex of the century! Bragging rights forever!!

-He helps you with dressing up and styling your hair-

-You’re interrogated the second you step into the venue because holy sh*t is that the Vil Schoenheit??

-Vil will excuse both of you if he notices you’re getting overwhelmed by the barrage of questions. He’s had his fair share of social conventions and he knows his way around them

-Seeing how he’s so popular, there’s a pretty good chance that he also gets barraged with questions by the guests- And though he’s used to that sort of thing, you manage to break him away from the busy atmosphere and take him on a walk through the rose garden outside to get some fresh air

-The peaceful and quiet atmosphere is really nice, so you stay out there for a while. Unfortunately, you two do loose track of time because while you’re out there, the fireworks display began to start. Though you say you should go back and join the others, Vil convinces you to stay in the garden with him, and he pulls you down to sit with him on a bench, seeing the fireworks go off in the sky. The two of you could still see the fireworks just fine, no?

-“What a beautiful sight,” you say watching the night sky pop with colourful fireworks.

-Vil glances at you, and he saw how the colours reflected in your eyes. “Yes,” he said, “it is.”

-One of the best people to have as a plus-one and meet the family to be honest

-His polite, caring charisma and dashing looks are a deadly combination

-He’s open to chatting with anyone, and he shares recipes and baking tips!

-You two get different desserts and you compare each other’s

-Not a bad date! He gets along well with your family

-Probably manages to overhear all the juicy family gossip and is living for it

-The bride ended up tossing the bouquet way too far and Azul ended up catching it. Now all the uncles are patting him on the shoulder saying congratulations and now he’s trying to hide his embarrassment because he knows exactly what they’re insinuating

-Ngl, he’d probably advertise the Mostro Lounge,, networking king honestly

-The bride and groom wanted one last private dance and as the others were preparing for the send-off, you and Azul have a little dance of your own, listening to the music drifting out of the open windows

-It was a little bit of a surprise for you; Azul didn’t strike you as much of a dancer but he was doing pretty well (He may or may not have practiced a lot-)

-It’s honestly a pretty tender moment; you follow his lead while you lay your head against his shoulder while he gazes at you so softly

-You and him are also in a lot of candid shots dancing together!

-Gets along well with your family and the other guests (And tries so hard to not be passive-aggressive to your mean relatives. Whether he succeeds or not is up for debate)

-Although, the ceremony was to take place outside, and that meant bugs. So, as the bride was saying her vows, a roach landed on Jamil’s knee, and you were the first one to notice. You could feel the sweat sliding down the back of your neck as the bug casually crawled around. By some absolute miracle, Jamil didn’t notice it yet

-“Jamil,” you whisper just as the guests applauded the newlyweds kissing.

-“Yeah?”

-“I need you to trust me and not look down.” 

-Jamil, currently living in blissful ignorance, is confused, but says “sure?” He’s suspicious now. You need to be quick.

-As the guests are walking away, you slap the bug off his knee and he screams bloody murder at the sudden sight of the bug flying in front of his face

-RIP Jamil he can’t catch a break

-Aside from that though, pretty chill time!

-Very excited to go with you to the wedding!!

-Even though you insist he doesn’t have to, he gets the newlyweds so. Many. Gifts. And they’re all expensive too; it’s to the point where the bride and groom genuinely consider giving some back kjfngb- Kalim assures them it’s fine though!!

Our favourite game to play when both myself and @ask-richard-jackdaw are ghosts is wizard's chess. It's much easier when you can just tell the pieces where to go and don't need to touch them.

Hi Anon, the goat did not burn last year, it was slowly eaten by jackdaws over the course of a few weeks.

This video is a nice timelapse of when the birds started eating the goat, but by end the goat was mostly just the frame and very little straw.

sending as an anon because i dont feel like doxxing myself but the streets of helsinki being emptier than the streets of rovaniemi is kind of horrifying. every time i go out be it rush hour or not there's always so many people everywhere. i think that's because this is a tourism heavy city but like, isnt helsinki too???? is it just because the central area is smaller here than it is there???? and even then the crowds here dwarf in comparison to foreign countries!!!! what the fuck!

I'd say all of above - it wasn't rush hour or tourist season, and there's a lot more space for people to spread out and still be in the central area. I've lived in a tourist town, and yeah tourist season is a lot like that season when the jackdaws' and seagulls' babies are out of the nests. They, like tourists, are running around the streets all over the place, and not particularly good at not being stepped on.

Hello! I’m Jackdaw Natividad originally from Alola but is now a resident of Galar working towards her PhD in Pokemon Ecology! (If any of you are curious it’s Blueberry Academy).

- Four years spent at Hau’oli’s Community Pokemon Academy for my Bachelors in Alolan Ecology

- Two years spent in Paldea at Naranja Academy for my first half of my Masters in General Pokémon Biology

What my team consists of?

My Pokémon team is very much geared towards practical work and research than for battling. All of my Pokémon have been certified as research assistant pokemon and thus highly discouraged to battle.

- Male Corviknight named Kwek-kwek: Specializes in transportation and is the main way I get around Galar. (Please don’t ride any corviknight, they have to be licensed by the Sky Taxi Association)

- Male Dedenne named Plop: He’s a great companion when it comes to traveling through small spaces. Often equipped with a camera on his back to get close up shots of the world of smaller Pokémon.

- Female Obstagoon named Scrapper: She’s there for both helping carry equipment as well as being able to disengage aggressive pokemon with obstruct. She’s equipped with her own tool belt and has a bright orange collar.

- Female Braviary named Araw: She’s specialized for aerial views, allowing me to take surveys from a Birds Eye view. She’s equipped with a camera vest that has Blueberry’s Academy logo on it. (Specially loaned equipment)

- Female Blissey named Lola: She’s the onboard medic and veterinarian of our team. Specially trained to handle either large or aggressive Pokémon. Certified by Galar and Unova’s Medical Association.

- Pheromosa named Vida: They’re a rescue ultra beast who was deemed unsuitable to be returned to ultra space. I am currently training them to be able to keep up with much faster pokemon as well as quickly fetch tools.

Avis is a Dark Urge and while her plot and backstory are very much in the canon of the game, I adapted it a bit. After she manages to briefly free herself from the influence of Bhaal (right after being injured by Orin), she escapes from Baldurs' Gate and then finds herself in an unfamiliar and strange forest, which turns out to be closely connected with the Feywild. Even now, she herself does not remember all the details of that day, since the only payment that her Patron took from her for the conract with them was part of her memory. From that day on, they never communicated or met.

Avis doesn’t even remember the name of her Patron, but it was they who helped her take control of her own consciousness and in the future overcome the influence of the deity who created her.

In fact, her patron themselves accidentally stumbled upon her, sensing that a stranger had come too close to their nest. But they were interested in the memories and fate of Avis since this creature (something between the Sirin bird and the Greek moirai) is closely associated with grief, regrets and destiny. You could say that it collects memories or feeds on them.

Hello!! I'm pretty new here, but if you don’t mind, I’d like to share a scenario I've been thinking about for a while! So, I've been thinking about Poly Cynonari with a Reader who’s a ballet dancer (or tap dancer - I keep fluctuating between the two) and comes from Fontaine - I quite like the image of the two scholars with an artist! From what we know of Fontaine so far (we’re ignoring the leaks of course), it is a country that “reveres true beauty and elegance,” and I like to think that the Reader is someone who is quite flamboyant, dramatic, and lively. They’re pretty much a theatre kid-

The Reader themselves left Fontaine because it is oppressive and quite dangerous at the moment, so they went to Sumeru (why they went to Sumeru specifically, I’m not sure - maybe they chose violence and decided “You know what? I’m tired of all the rain and cloudiness in Fontaine. We’re going to go somewhere where the sun is out 24/7 and I know I’m going to have a heat stroke.”) Also, in the Genshin wiki, it states that Fontaine locals are antsy because they believe that some type of ‘judgement’ is ’soon to come’, which would be another reason why the Reader left (which I find incredibly ironic because judgement is Cyno’s whole schtick-). Also, apparently, the air in Fontaine is toxic, so when the Reader goes to Avidya Forest with Tighnari they admit “I don’t think I’ve ever breathed in air this fresh before!” Tighnari thinks they’re joking until he looks at them in the eye.

Reader, suffering in the heat of Sumeru: If ‘bread’ in French is pain, then I own f*cking bakery.

I think it would be interesting for two characters to be in a relationship with someone who grew up in a very different environment - Sumeru is a region that prides itself on knowledge and scholarly achievements while Fontaine is a region that prides itself on the arts - in a way, they’re sort of the opposite of each other. What are your thoughts on it? I won’t lie, like in one of your Chase The Mirage posts, I can see the Reader getting negative comments from gossipers. But in addition, I love the image of the Reader teaching Cyno and Tighnari how to dance!

But yeah, this is just me putting down my jumbled-up thoughts, I hope you don’t mind! (Sorry this is so long, by the way-) Also, I love your writing so far!! Keep up the awesome work! :D

What I actually like to imagine is just their elegance entrancing their lovers, while Tighnari and Cyno are happily imagining the idea of them wearing Sumeru clothes or a Sumeru theme outfit as their dancing attire.

While they may not be well-versed on tailoring clothes, Cyno has good design visualization and a place he had commissioned his headdress, and Tighnari has a lot of beautiful patterns and accessories on his own drip! He is well fashionable and will definitely want to incorporate the forest/nature into their fit

Admittedly, they are reminded of Kaveh at first glance since they do have the same vibe, which makes it easier for them to get along in the first place. Their love for passion and the quality of life from Sumeru's natural beauty may seem childish but the innocence of it is definitely something I can imagine that would make Cyno and Tighnari smile when reminded of their lover

I think their favorite hangout would definitely be Pardis Dhyai, because the two have free access to its grounds, it is wide for dancing, and the view is absolutely gorgeous. Scholars would even watch from a distance when they happen to pass by, at times seeing all three of them dance on a relaxing night. From what we know from the story, not all scholars are haters of the arts and some even enjoy watching it (even attending the shows, from Nilou's SQ) so if it's in a secluded place like Pardis they're safe

I actually wonder if Cyno and Tighnari would entertain the idea of suggesting Zubayr Theatre if they're really that passionate. Collei would probably mention it, so I can also imagine the two boyfriends throwing flowers and petals every time their lover ends their performance, that seems like a thing they'd do <33 They do have to watch out for when their lover starts missing water, waterfalls and rivers in Sumeru aren't really the safest when it's infested with so many crocodiles and fungi,,
