While we are alive we should sit among colored lights and taste good wines, and discuss our adventures in far places; when we are dead, the opportunity is past.

Help Me Pick My Next TTRPG Thing To Read, 4/14/2025 Edition
OK, I am over a third of the way through Power Rangers: Adventures in Angel Grove, so I figured I might as well post the next poll.
I wanted to have a very limited number of options, but all my attempts to narrow it down were for naught, so instead we have the following:
-Old Gods and Young Guns: https://ratwavegamehouse.itch.io/old-gods-and-young-guns-setting-guide
-Savage World of Flash Gordon: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/231833/the-savage-world-of-flash-gordon?src=hottest_filtered
-Terra Primate: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/705/terra-primate
-Land of Eem: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/515500/land-of-eem-core-rulebook
-DCC Empire of the East: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/314885/dungeon-crawl-classics-empire-of-the-east
-Fading Suns: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/592/fading-suns-second-edition
-Hollow Earth Expedition: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/23437/hollow-earth-expedition-rpg
-Jack Vance's Gaean Reach: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/142189/the-gaean-reach

I’m trying to get into more old books. I just got done reading the Power Broker and don’t want to read a non fiction book for a little bit (even though the LBJ books are tempting)
3 of the books are pretty important to the fantasy genre as far as I know. Jack Vance is responsible for how magic works in dnd, and other ttrpgs (Vancian magic) and also Vecna is an anagram of Vance
The corum series by Moorcock is where the idea of the eye and hand of vecna comes from (though it wasn’t called vecna yet since that’s a dnd thing) and I want to read a book where a guy has an evil artifact at some point.
I’ve heard the Earthsea books are good and I want to read a good book about a wizard
1984 just sounds interesting and I want to see if we are literally living through 1984.
#I plan to read all of them eventually but I just can’t decide which one to get#I have an audio book credit on audiobooks.com and need to choose soon#books#bookblr#fantasy#novel#corum#earthsea#dnd#dungeons and dragons#1984#the power broker#michael moorcock#ursula k. le guin#jack vance#the dying earth#george orwell
