Two days ago, it had been 9 am, and they were so loud that she did not only hear them in her bedroom, but in her living room, too. Today though, they reached a whole new level of noise. It sounded as if they were about to break the bed. She didn’t mind him having an active sex life, she had one herself, but she didn’t do it so loudly that everybody else in the entire building lied awake and was forced to listen.

Enough was enough. She had an exam tomorrow, she could not go there completely sleep-deprived, so she decided to go up there and disrupt their little... encounter.

She took the lift, went one floor up, and rang his bell. Y/N was surprised that she couldn’t hear them as well as from her bedroom below. When nothing happened, she rang again. And then she just kept ringing until finally, the door opened, revealing a thoroughly fucked out Jack.

“What do you want?”, he asked as he recognized her. She had caught his eye once or twice as they met at the mailboxes or as they shared a lift.

“Look”, Y/N said, “I’m glad you have a healthy sex life and all but will you please try not to pierce a whole through my ceiling with your bed? Thanks.”

She wanted to turn around and go back to bed, finally getting some sleep, but there was something that caught her eye. It was a very prominent, purple hickey that started right at his collarbone. She took a closer look at his state now, finding that his face was flushed, his hair a mess, and his body was bare except for a pair of boxers that he apparently had put on in a rush.

She suddenly became very aware of her soggy pajama pants and her top that, as she discreetly looked down, revealed way more than she wanted. To top it off, she didn’t wear a bra and the chilly air in the hallway made her nipples stand out through the thin fabric. She felt herself blushing, but there was nothing that she could do about it.

“Look, I know we might have been a bit louder, but... we’re done soon, okay?”, Jack said and tried to shut the door.

But Y/N wasn’t having any of it. She placed her foot in between Jack’s door and the frame, wincing slightly as the door squeezed her foot. She hadn’t bothered to put shoes on, she just went up there in fuzzy socks.

“No”, she said. “No, it’s not okay. I have a bloody exam tomorrow and I can’t sleep because you choose to ruin your bed right above of mine. I don’t care what you are doing to her, but keep it low”, she stressed the last few words, “or I’m calling the security guy.” Then she turned around and stomped back to the lift.

Jack really was an idiot, although she couldn’t shake off the feeling that she had had when she saw him like this. Still, she reminded herself, he was an idiot.

“Okay guys I gotta go, I’m starving and my wonderful girlfriend is in the kitchen, making me dinner. See ya later MERRY VLOGMAS!” I said to my camera. “Say bye y/n.” “Bye guys merry vlogmas.” Y/n my lovely girlfriend yelled from the kitchen.

I turned off the camera and set it on the charger in my room. After that I found my way to the kitchen smelling y/f/f (your favorite food) cooking.

I stopped in the doorway just watching y/n. I love her more than anything, we’ve been dating for almost 2 years now. She was staying with Conor and I at our flat for the holidays, and she’s been cooking all day for a dinner we’re having tonight with all the boys.

Y/n’s POV

I giggle to myself after I say bye to Jacks camera, he is really excited for Christmas, lord I love that boy and I’m glad to be staying with him.

I hear the door open pulling me out of my thoughts as I stir some of the food for tonight, but I don’t here footsteps afterward so I assume Jack stopped in the doorway.

It’s been five minutes and Jack still hasn’t said anything so I speak up. “Just gonna stand there and stare all day?” I ask as I glance back to see Jack smirking.

He shifts his weight to lean on the wall instead of the doorway “Maybe I like view,” he says cockily.

I giggle as the doorbell rings. “The boys must be here early can you get the door Conor is napping.” Jack groans deeply turning me on a little, but he does it none the less. I sigh and get back to work.

Around 10 minutes later Joe comes into the kitchen. “Hey y/n I figured you’ve been in here all day cooking by yourself so I came to help since they’ll burn anything they touch.” Joe says as he points at the door, talking about Jack and Conor.

“Oh thank you Joe that’s really nice, if it’s not to much trouble can you cut the carrots?” I ask him while handing him a knife. He nods his head and starts helping.

Not long after Jack comes in and hugs me from behind. “Hey sweetie,” I giggle. He kissed my lips then proceeds to say, “Oh come on Joe really you’re making me look bad in front of my girlfriend!”

“Hey back off, least I won’t make a mess everywhere like you would,” Joe fights back jokingly and we all laugh. The doorbell rings again. I just look at Jack and he goes to get the door.

Joe chuckles from the other side of the kitchen, “You’ve got that boy whipped y/n, he is wrapped around you’re finger.” I playfully glare over at him. “Don’t give me that look, you know it’s true.”

I laugh it off as Jack and Casper walk in the door carrying food. “Here’s the turkey, you asked for and Oli is right behind us with the potato salad.”

“Thanks Caspar, Oli set that on the table please. And Joe will you check the casserole?” Caspar and Oli put the food that’s done on the table, Joe nods and checks the casserole and I go wake Conor up while Jack goes to call Mikey to see when he’s getting here with the drinks.

Jacks POV

It’s busy here and I feel bad for not even thinking about helping y/n when all the boys brought food and Mikey bringing drinks while Conor sets the table.

I’m trying to help the best I can now but I’ve never really cooked before and I don’t want y/n to get frustrated from my constant questions.

Y/n’s POV

It’s been really busy around here. When I woke Conor up I put him straight to work setting the table, Jack was trying to help with the cooking but kept messing up or asking a lot of questions, and as adorable as I thought it was I sent him out to finish the Christmas decorations I never got to so I wouldn’t be distracted.

Mikey and Josh rode together to get the drinks and as soon as they got here I put them to work. Joe helped me prepare the last bit of food and we started chatting.

“You know what y/n, I’m glad you’re here because if we didn’t have you here it wouldn’t be a big party like this, we would have just gone out clubbing. Since your here, we really have a woman to set things up and make it feel like Christmas.” He quietly chuckles and continues. “And you know you’re just like a mother ordering all of us around. You’ve got Oli and Casper cleaning the the dining room and setting out food. Conor setting the table. Mikey and Josh getting the drinks, Jack putting up Christmas decor and me helping you cook. I never thought I’d see any of these guys doing stuff like this for anyone but you’ve rounded us out.”

Joe smiled at me, when he finished. I smiled back very big and genuinely. “Thank you Joe so much for helping me with everything.” We washed our hands and I hugged him.

*Skip to Dinner*

We all sat down with dinner finally ready and I decided to make a toast. “Before we begin eating I have a toast to make. I wanna thank all of you. Starting with Joe, thank you for showing up two hours early to help me finish cooking. Caspar thank you for taking the time to make a turkey to go with the Roast I made. Oli even though I know you just went to the store and bought it thanks for bringing the potato salad.” Oli blushed. “Conor thanks for setting the table just the way my picky self asked you to, Mikey thank you for buying the drinks, and Josh thank you for babysitting Mikey to make sure he didn’t spill them everywhere.” We all laughed and I finished my speech. “And thank you Jack, my best friend for trying to help cook and running around doing everything I asked of you, I don’t know what I would do without you. I love you.”

That was the end of my speech and I kissed Jack as they all cheered. We had a good laugh and everyone dug in.

Later on we all sat in the living room singing along to cheesy Christmas toons and Conor showing off with his lovely singing skills. I was sitting with Jack on the couch my legs draped over his with my head on his shoulder. “I’m gonna go clean up the table a little.” I whispered to Jack who nodded and kissed my lips before I got up.

After I’d taken all the leftovers and put them in containers I started washing the dishes. Shortly after that Jack came to hug my waist from behind. I dried my hands and turned around to talk to him.

“Hey, baby, need something?” I asked him still tightly holding on to me.

I looked up into his eyes and he seemed upset. He tried to hide it with a smile but I could tell he wasn’t okay. “Hey Jack what’s wrong? Don’t say nothing because I know you.”

“I don’t know I guess I just feel kinda bad for not helping you as much today. I heard you tell Joe thanks so much for everything and I just started feeling bad that you made all the boys help you and didn’t even ask me to. It made me feel useless so I tried helping you and Joe cook but I don’t really know how and you sending me out of the kitchen made me feel even worse.” He admitted.

“I feel so bad now this is all a big misunderstanding sweetie.” I tried to jump up on the counter behind me but I’m kinda short so I missed. Jack chuckled lightly and grabbed my waist to set me up there.

I pulled him in between my legs and made eye contact. “Jack what you heard me say to Joe earlier today was me thanking him for saying that he was glad I was here and said that I was the reason you guys had a real Christmas, and I asked all the boys to help me because none of them were doing anything I didn’t know it would bother you but I wanted to give you a break from all the stress of trying to make your new songs with Conor perfect.

And when you tried to help cook I loved that you were trying to help even though you didn’t know how it was adorable but I sent you out because I was getting distracted watching you. I’m so sorry I never realized that I was happy and all day and you were suffering, baby next time please say something. I’m so sorry please forgive me.”

“There is nothing to forgive. God how did I end up so lucky. I don’t deserve you. I love you so much. You didn’t do anything wrong it was just a misunderstanding as long as you were happy that’s all I need to make me happy. I love you so much. Please don’t ever leave me.”

“Never.” I whispered and kissed him passionately. It started out slow but got increasingly faster and more intense. Jack had one hand on my cheek and the other holding my waist. I had my legs tightly wrapped around his waist and my hands on his neck, because I was still on the counter.

We continued kissing and he bit my lip and I granted him entrance. At that exact moment Conor walked in the door. “Hey guys need any help.” Jack and I pulled apart just in time for me to see Conor’s eyes widening.

“Having fun I see,” Conor said before turning around and walking out.

Jack started trying to kiss me again then moved to kissing my neck. “Jack come on if we don’t go out now they’re all gonna think we’re having a quickie.” I tried to reason. “So,” he mumbled into my neck. “Jaaaaaaaaack,” I whined. “Okay Okay,” he quite kissing me and helped me down.

When we walked back in everyone started teasing us. I ignored them and sat on Jacks lap on the couch and stayed there until after everyone left. “Now can we go have sex?” Jack asked. I giggle loudly. “Bro I’m still in the room!” Conor yelled.

A/N: eyo more imagines this week wassup. this was requested idk how long ago sorry dood

     I polished some rocks and martini glasses quickly to keep up with the crowd. The club I bar tended at was unusually packed tonight and I didn’t have a single idea as to why. It’s not like it was some dive bar, but it wasn’t exactly a modern night club. It was a just your average bar, yet the usual manageable crowd were now an explosion of mostly women, some looked questionably younger than the legal age limit. I turned to my co-worker for some answers. “Steve,” I said, getting his attention. 

     “What’s up, (Y/N)?” he asked, irritation and exhaustion threaded in his voice.

     “Is there a specific reason we have such a large crowd tonight?”

     “Yeah. There’s some YouTube dude coming to perform. Popular with the ladies, if that wasn’t clear.” I huffed in disbelief. I had somewhat of a disdain for youtubers. In my mind, they were popular assholes that piqued in middle school. They displaced their unhealthy and immature attitudes into their shitty videos. Their “sketches” just highlighted the existence of rape culture and excessive toxic masculinity. “What’s his talent, then?” I asked Steve. “Pranks? Stand-up ‘comedy’?”

     “Singing, actually,” Steve answered, chuckling slightly at the latter question. “And I think he’s pretty good.”

     “Then I guess I have to take your word for it.” We continued to try to quench the mass crowd, but I knew they were thirsty for something else once the main act came out on stage. They rushed to the stage, screaming. My eyes widened at the behavior of these grown women. I was taken aback by how they were acting. This was just some guy, and they were all at least 18 from what I knew. Then he began to sing. The passion he put into the music, the strength in his voice. I felt almost hypnotized. “He is pretty good,” I spoke up after being distracted for so long. 

     “You in love?” Steve teased. I scrunched my nose and shook my head. “Not my type,” I said. “His voice is beautiful though.” I continued to watch his set in between the now occasional customer. Just like me, the people in the crowd were just as enchanted watching the performer. At the end of the set, he took a bow and smiled at the crowd. “Thank you, everyone!” he exclaimed through the mic. “My name is Conor Maynard, and that’s all time we have!” 

     “Conor Maynard,” I thought. “Gotta remember that.”

     “But, before I go, I’d like to thank my brother Jack for DJ-ing!” Conor then went to the back of the stage to bring his brother into the front hot lights. Once Jack stepped out from the shadows, the crowd went wild again and my jaw dropped. He was a lean hunk of man, and I wanted a nice, healthy bite. “Now you’re in love,” Steve chimed in, interrupting my dirty thoughts. I shot him a dirty look and an evil smirk. “You stay out of this!” I scolded him. “This is between me and my perverted mind!” He laughed at my response and handed a scantily clad girl a drink. He made some quick shots, placed them on a tray, and handed them off to me. “Well, I guess this is destiny,” he said, lifting the tray to refer to it. “Your stud and his clearly invisible brother ordered these. Go to the back room and deliver them.” I quickly yet carefully grabbed the tray and rushed to the back.

     I entered to find Jack holding a camera up and talking to it. “A youtuber,” I thought. “Not the best, but he’s cute enough to make up for it.” I knocked on the open door and smiled. “A little present from the club,” I said, placing the shots on the vanity. “Aww, hell yeah!” Conor cheered as he walked over to the tray. Conor’s cheer got the attention of his older brother. Jack came gliding over and gave me a smirk. “Thanks, love,” he said in a flirty tone. 

     “Anything for the greatest duo I’ve seen play here,” I replied coyly. 

     “Oh, stop,” Jack responded bashfully. “You’re probably just saying that.”

     “Maybe I am. Anything to get you to talk to little ol’ me.”

     “You don’t need to do much more to impress me.” We shared a longing expression. We were then interrupted by the sound of mock gagging. “For fuck’s sake, get a room!” Conor shrieked. Jack laughed and I went along with it, but I was a little startled. “Shall we get a room?” Jack asked.

     “I don’t know,” I said hesitantly. “I am on the clock.”

     “Eh, the crowd’s probably clearing out as we speak. They’ll be fine without you.” I just stood for a moment, then put my tray down. “What the hell,” I said with a shrug. Jack’s face lit up as I ushered him to the other dressing room across from the one in use. “But no funny business!” I scolded, wagging my finger at him. “I know your type all too well, Mr. Maynard.”

     “No promises,” he responded with a wink. I just shook my head as I was bursting internally. 

     We sat next to each other on the soft couch and talked. That’s all we really did. We talked until 3 in the morning when my coworker found us. “Alright you two!” he warned playfully. “I better be able to take a black light to that couch after you guys leave!” It was my turn to giggle at the niche humor and for Jack to laugh nervously. As we collected our things, we exchanged numbers, and I had never been happier to deliver shots to someone.

“We’ve literally been shopping around for hours! Are we done yet?” your blonde boyfriend whined in the middle of Top Shop.

You and Jack were out shopping for Anna’s birthday last minute, because he told you he was completely useless picking something she would like. So he needed your help.

You nudged Jack’s arm, urging him to stop being a grump. “What are you talking about babe? You love shopping.” You said as you went over to browse some clothing racks.

“I like it when it’s for me.” He admitted with a laugh.

You looked back at him with wide eyes, “Jack come on. It’s her day.”

“I know, I know. It’s her birthday. Fine, I’ll behave.” he sighed.

You grabbed his hand and pulled him in for a quick kiss, “That’s my boy.”

You continued to drag Jack around London all morning, trying to find Anna the perfect present. He put up with a lot of waiting and standing around, all with minimal complaints.

You finally managed to find Anna a beautiful, gold necklace, customized with her name engraved on it. You also got her a gift card to Sephora to get some new makeup, which you knew she would love.

In all the hustle and bustle of shopping, you realized you both hadn’t eaten breakfast. “Jack let’s go get something to eat,” you suggested.

“Oh thank god! I’m starving!” He dramatically threw his hands in the air.

“Yeah you know how I can tell? You’ve been a giant grouch all morning.”

“Shut up.” He glared at you, crossing his arms.

“Aw baby I was just kidding. Let’s get you some food,” giving him a peck on the cheek you two headed towards a restaurant.

At brunch

“It sucks you can’t come with me to Mum and Dad’s tonight.”

The Maynards were having a big birthday dinner for Anna back in Brighton. Unfortunately, you had a work meeting early the next morning. Which meant you had to stay home while Jack stayed overnight at his parent’s house.

“I know. I wish I could too, but you need to be there for Anna. Besides, we can celebrate with her this weekend or something.” You said, taking a sip of your coffee.

“That’s true.” Jack reached across the table and put his hand over yours, “Thanks for putting up with my grouchiness and helping me with Anna’s present. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

You laced your fingers with his and glanced up at him, “Of course love. And I know.” you playfully rolled your eyes.

After a lovely morning and brunch, Jack dropped you off at your flat. You were bummed you couldn’t go to the party, but you had to prepare for your meeting. Gotta love adulting, right?

Later that night, you were laying in bed wearing one of Jack’s hoodies, scrolling through Twitter when your phone started ringing.

Jack😈💕 would like to FaceTime

You accepted the call to see him laying in bed with a big smile on his face. “Hello gorgeous! You alright there all alone?”

“I guess.” you sighed. “I hate sleeping by myself, but at least I have your hoodie. It’s obviously not the same, but it’s warm and smells like you.” You smiled, nuzzling your face in the sleeve.

“You’re cute, you know that?”

“Yeah I know.” you blushed. “So, how was dinner? Did Anna have a good birthday?”

“Oh yeah. Dinner was good. Would’ve been better if you were here, but she loved her presents. She told me to tell you thank you and she knows you picked them out, because I’m useless.”

You let out a laugh,“Well she’s not wrong.”

“Love you too.” he cried, pouting out his lower lip.

“Oh stop it! You helped picked me pick it out. You’re an amazing brother, okay?” you assured him.

His eyes lit up, “Thanks gorgeous. That means a lot.”

You both smiled at each other and then let out a big yawn.

 Anna’s POV

I ran upstairs to go to bed, I couldn’t wait to sleep. It had been an amazing, but very long day. A birthday to remember.

As I was walking to go to my room, I saw Jack’s light on and his door cracked open. Curiously, I popped my head in to see Jack sprawled out on his stomach, fast asleep with his phone in his hand. I laughed to myself. That boy was always on his phone.

I tip toed over to his bedside, trying to be as quiet as possible so I wouldn’t wake him. I carefully reached for his phone to put it on the nightstand to charge. When I successfully managed to grab it, I noticed the facetime screen was open. Taking a closer look, I realized it was (Y/N). Like Jack, she was sound asleep.

How cute

I set the phone down, pulled at the blanket, and laid it over my sleeping brother. Once he was tucked in, I walked back over to the nightstand to get the phone. Then I set one of the spare pillows next to Jack’s head and placed the iPhone on top.

Reaching in my back pocket, I took my phone out to take a picture of them. This was definitely Twitter worthy.

I tweeted out the picture, it read:

Y/n hit snooze for what must have been the tenth time that morning, she closed her eyes trying to fall back asleep and finish the dream she had been having. She failed. Opening one eye y/n looked at the time on their alarm clock, 12:28pm it read. With a groan y/n sat up and looked at her boyfriend. Jack was still in a peaceful slumber, eyes fluttering occasionally from the dream he must’ve been having.  

Dappled sunlight leaked through the bedroom blinds and danced upon his face. She watched him for while but as boredom began to creep up on y/n she decided to wake him up.

“Wakey wakey eggs and bakey” y/n cried, jumping on Jack

“Leave me alone y/n!” he groaned in that tired voice that y/n always found sexy.

“No it’s noon 30 Jack, you’re so lazy!” Y/n argued with a laugh, pulling away the sheets and sitting on top of him.

Jack lay there in silence for a moment staring at y/n with a sleepy grin upon his face. Y/n thought he was about to surrender and get up when unexpectedly he grabbed her by the waist and twisted them around so he was on top.

“Okay a compromise.” Jack started “How about we have a lazy day in?” he pleaded with puppy dog eyes. How could y/n ever resist those?

“Fine. But I get to choose what movies we watch today” Y/n aimed to convince her boyfriend. He pushed his hand through his messy hair, his bicep showing from the lack of shirt he had on, before caving in and agreeing

“So long as I get to lie here with you”. he shrugged

The rest of the day was spent under the sheets cuddling one another, your head resting on his chest while he absent-mindedly danced his fingers across your body and played with your hair. Y/f/m played in the background and you felt content with the world. Happy that the two of you had decided to have a lazy day in.

And the boys and I have been given some cards for his new concert. And literally everybody’s going there. Like me, Conor, Joe, Caspar, Oli, Mikey and Josh. And so I asked for two more cards so (Y/N) could go with us as well as Anna since she’s been obsessed just as much as my beautiful girlfriend”, Jack chuckled as he told his viewers what’d be happening right now.

“So I’ve been putting these little papers with letters on it in this envelope and if she gets it in the right order, it will say ‘Ed Sheeran’ and then I’m gonna surprise her. Let’s just see how long it’ll take her.”

As (Y/N) walked into Jacks room, assuming that he must have been in there since she had called for him and no one answered, she found him laying in bed on his phone.

“Hey babe”, he said as she opened the door and she was quick to go over to him for a quick peck on the lips. Jack then got his vlogging camera out and started to record.

“Say hi to them, babe”, he smiled at her.

“Hey guys”, (Y/N) said and grinned.

“So I have a surprise for you darling”, Jack said and handed her the envelope. She opened it and Jack could see that she was a bit confused as she saw the letters.

“What’s that supposed to be Jack?”, she asked as she had them all on the bed.

“Letters.”

She then gave him her infamous ‘No-Shit-Sherlock’-Face, making him giggle.

“Just put them in the right order.”

It took (Y/N) quite a while to put them into an order which made sense, kind of.

‘HEAR NEEDS’

“That makes no sense, Jack”, (Y/N) whined.

‘HEAD SNEER’

“Try a little harder babe”, Jack said grinning.

‘EDEN SHARE’

“C’mon baby”, Jack said teasingly.

‘NEED SHARE’

“What do you need to share, Jack?”, (Y/N) said, glad that she had finally found something that made sense.

“I need to share some important news babe”, Jack said. “She’s not getting it, guys”, he sighed and turned the camera so both of them would be in shot.

Jack mixed the letters up a bit.

‘ED SHAREEN’

“Wait I got it”, (Y/N) said, finally getting excited.

‘ED SHEERAN’

“Jack?!”, (Y/N) said, finally noticing that Jack had another envelope behind his back.

“No way”, she whispered as Jack said nothing. “No fucking way.”

“We’re going to see Ed Sheeran”, Jack smiled.

“Oh my god! You’re amazing!”, (Y/N) squeeled and hugged Jack really tight.

“All of the boys are coming and Anna too”, Jack told her.

“Oh my, I haven’t seen her in ages! Thank you so much, Jack! You’re officially the best boyfriend ever”, (Y/N) smiled and kissed him.

“Anything for my girl”, he smiled, trying to hide the blush that was creeping up his cheeks in (Y/N)s hair.

I wake up wrapped in muscular arms and sigh contently. I open my eyes and see my best friend Joe grinning down at me. I laugh.  “creep” He chuckles and pulls me closer.  “its Jacks birthday” he mumbles rubbing the bare flesh of my back. I hum. “he’s bringing his new girlfriend ice skating” he adds and I hum again shifting uncomfortably. “so your not going to admit your jealous?” he says pulling my face up to his. He pecks my nose and I sigh.  “okay, fine. I’m jealous, I just hope she’s nice” I huff. He hums.  “it's the first time I’m going to meet her too, we’re in the same boat,” he says. I glare at him.  “are you in love with one of your best friends, who rejected you and has a hot new girlfriend a month later?” I spit, he gulps and holds his hands up defensively  “I come in peace” he teases and it makes me crack a small smile. He grins and I can’t help but follow his lead.  “I hate you” I pout.  “you love me really” he replies and I roll my eyes sarcastically, letting out a dry chuckle.  “Babe, I’m sorry to tell you but I’m using you for your body” I wink and he holds his hand over his heart mockingly sad. You see Joe is my best friend, we are both single, have been for a while and got tired of trying to pull in a club. So on the mutual grounds that we find each other attractive but have no feelings for whatsoever, we started sleeping together. It's a nice arrangement and so far neither one of us have caught feelings, in fact, I am in love with our friend Jack. Joe is very aware and has tried to drop hints on multiple occasions. 

About a month ago, after a little boost from vodka, I headed over to the Maynard house. I used the key they gave me to get in and made my way to Jacks room, I burst into Jacks room ready to tell him all my pent up feelings when I realized he was in bed with another girl, I’ve never run out of there so fast in my life. Jack didn’t run after me, obviously and when he asked about it the next day. I told him I just wanted to borrow his camera. That said girl is apparently now his girlfriend, I’ve seen pictures of her and unfortunately for myself, she’s actually really pretty, but today is the first day I’ll meet her. It's Jacks birthday and besides it being blazing hot outside, we were going ice skating and then to the club tonight. 

I go home after making plans with Joe to meet up so we can go together. I quickly get dressed into comfy clothes, tying my hair up and only adding the bare minimal makeup. If I’m going to be falling over on ice all day I’ll need to be comfy, and have no makeup marks down my face. I check my phone once I’m done and see Joe has messaged me saying he’s in my living room- he has a key. I walk upstairs and see him lounging.  “hey”, I call out to him going to get a glass of water.  “yo” he calls back. I gulp down some water and leave the rest on the side.  “lets go” I cheer. He stands up and we walk outside. The place isn’t that far from my apartment so we decide to walk instead of getting a taxi. We make it there in no time and see that we are the last. 

“hey guys” Josh calls out as he’s the first to spot me. We wave and everyone turns around. Jack runs over to us and gives us a hug. I hug him back savouring the moment. He soon pulls away and drags us over to two girls.  “this is my girlfriend Alyssa and her friend Brianna, this is my friends Joe and y/n” he says introducing us all. I smile awkwardly at Alyssa as she purses her lips.  “hi, nice to meet you” I say holding my hand out, breaking the awkward tension. She shakes it.  “hi” she says uninterested, turning to  Jack. “shall we go get our boots?” she smiles. I look at Joe and he furrows his eyebrows at me like’ omg she’s weird’. We all get our boots on and step out onto the ice. We had booked it so it would just be us. 

I’m a bit shaky when I step out but Joe takes hold of my hand and I get used to it quite quickly. I’m joking around with the boys for a while, I had even made an effort with Brianna who was kicked to the curb by Alyssa who was clung to Jack. Brianna is really nice, I don’t know why she’s friends with Alyssa. 

“so when are you going to tell him?” Brianna mumbles, staring down at the ice focusing on not falling over.  “what?” I laugh.  “Jack, when are you going to tell him that you love him?” she asks and smiles a little when she sees my panicked face.��“its ok, I won’t tell Alyssa, I don’t like her that much anyway” she giggles. I exhale and look away.  “he has a girlfriend, he’s just my friend. There’s nothing I can do about it” I sigh. I see Alyssa skating over to us having finally detached herself from Jack. When she gets closer I see that she wants to talk to Brianna alone so I skate away but next minute, I’m on the floor. I look up at Alyssa shocked and a bit angry. 

“what was that for?” I grit. She smirks.  “what, not my fault you fell” she laughs flicking her hair. I stand up and lean on the side to brush the ice off of me, I can still hear them talking.

“hey, why were you talking to her?” Alyssa spits.  “she’s nice, we were just talking...” Brianna replies.  “yeah well I think she’s weird. She hugged Jack far too long for my liking, she’s been staring at him all day. I mean have you seen what she’s wearing, she’s so ugly she needs to put some makeup on to cover her vileness” Alyssa laughs. My lip quivers but I stand up tall, skating past them not even bothering to look at them. I skate straight past the boys and out. I sit on a bench attempting to untie my boots. I feel somebodys hands covering my own and look down and Jack.  “hey whats up why are you leaving?” he asks looking genuinely hurt. I look behind him at the boys, all looking at me sadly, then at the girls. Alyssa is glaring and Brianna is smiling guiltily. I huff and push Jack away unclipping my skates and tugging them off. I start putting my shoes back on when I reply.  “I’m just cold, I’ll see you tonight” I finish standing up turning to walk away. He grabs my arm pulling me to look at him.  “wait-” he starts.  “I’ll see you tonight” I grit, repeating myself. His mouth opens in shock but I ignore it and scoff. “go back to Alyssa” I huff stalking away. I hand in my skates and walk home. 

I start getting ready for the night around 7. After going home and relaxing for the remainder of the day, watching youtube and eating. I decide, after the hurtful things Alyssa said I’m going to give her a real surprise. I grab the shortest and tightest dress I have, one I haven’t even worn yet. It’s a little out of my comfort zone but one I have it on I feel beautiful and sexy. It hugs my curves perfectly. I do my makeup and hair to match throwing a red bomber on top in case it gets cold. 

I admire how I look in the mirror as my phone starts ringing. I answer the call checking my lipstick.  “hey you ready? we’re in the limo outside” Joe says. I laugh.  “limo?”  “yeah limo” I can hear him smiling. “we only travel in style! and it fits us all in so bonus” I roll my eyes turning my bedroom light off.  “coming” I chirp.  “okay honey boo” he coos. “see you in two seconds peanut fudge” I coo back and hear the boys laughing, I must be on speaker. I grab everything I need and lock my door heading outside to the limo. As I get up to the door it opens. I step inside, sitting in between Oli and Josh. We head off to the club. 

When we get to the club we head into VIP, whoever scored this must have been really persuasive. We are greeted with drinks and we stand in a circle making toasts. We all cheer and knock back the champagne, I down my entire drink while the others just have a little bit. They all stare at me shocked.  “what?” I shrug. I had felt their stares since I stepped in the limo. “you’ve all been staring at me since I sat down in the limo” I huff.  “you just look really hot, it's not your usual style” Joe shrugs.  “we like it” Conor adds with a wink. I wink back, smirking at him. The boy's mouths are all open wide, I am usually not this confident. I roll my eyes grabbing a shot from the table and knock it back quickly, grabbing Joe by his jacket and leading him onto the dance floor. We start dancing together and I look back at the boys, they all seem to jump out of their glance having a few drinks themselves and coming to join us. I notice Alyssa, Brianna and who I assume are some more of her friends. I roll my eyes and dance closer to Joe. His hands eventually land on my hips pulling me closer. He pushes his lips to mine and we grin into the kiss when the boys start cheering. We pull away and I turn around, grinding into him. 

All of a sudden Jack storms off to the table with Alyssa in tow. I can see them yelling and shouting over the music. She stomps and slaps him, walking away. I chuckle turning away continuing to dance with the boys. Jack inhales, taking a moment before making his way back over to us. He comes up behind me and I ignore it for a second until I feel him pressed against my back, his breath on my neck. My movements still and he brings his lips to my ear. 

“you look so fucking gorgeous right now” he whispers nibbling on my ear.  “Alyssa?” I stutter.  “it's over, I was only trying to make you jealous” he whispers, his hand moving along the curves of my body. The boys had noticed us by now and were giving us side smirks.  “well, it worked” I giggle.  “are you not with Joe?” he asks. My eyes widen and I burst out laughing turning around to face him.  “Joe? No! he’s just my friend, we were sleeping together but there’s no feelings” I admit. He nods looking down.  “well have I got any chance of taking you on a date?” he questions. I laugh but stop when he frowns.  “don’t you know?” I gulp. His eyebrows raise. “don’t you know I’m in love with you” I mutter. He shakes his head.  “why did you never tell me? I thought you’d be repulsed by the way I am with girls and stuff” he shrugs. I hold his face.  “just nerves I guess. I didn’t to make things awkward when you rejected me... and by the way, I’m not. not really, it’s just more practice until you finally fuck me yourself” I whisper nibbling at his ear. His breath hitches and I smirk. He wraps his arms around my waist but leaves them there. I roll my eyes and push them down, landing them on my butt. He gulps and squeezes gently pulling me flush against him.  “When I woke up this morning I had no idea that you’d be my birthday present” he smiles and I laugh finally bringing my lips to his.

can we talk about jack as a dad? i've been thinking about it and it game me the feels™

oh my god he would be such a good dad! i think he’d be so protective of his kids and he would probably do everything for them. he’d definitely rearrange his schedule so he would have the most time with his little ones and with you obviously. he’d be so supporting, you’d never have to worry about him not showing up to a children’s play or a sports game, and he’d definitely be watching them so you could go out with your friends, and vice versa. i also feel like he’d want to spoil them rotten, especially if he had a little girl (because can you imagine jack with a little girl who has his piercing blue eyes?) but he’d hold himself back so you wouldn’t raise some spoiled brats. also, trips to his and your parents would be a regular, and anna and conor would definitely try to see them as often as they could. conor would probably give them piano lessons if they wanted to. also jack would ask conor or anna to watch them so you two could spend some quality time together ;)

anon: 148- why do you only kiss me when I’m sleeping?

It wasn’t their fault that they were put in a room with only one bed. No, it wasn’t their fault at all. In fact, if Joe had to blame it on someone, he’d definitely blame Josh. 

The boys had taken a short skiing trip to Austria, and it wouldn’t be an understatement to say that both Jack and Joe were quite flushed when they found out they’d have to share a bed. Joe remembers flopping his bags onto the hotel floor, ready for finally collapsing on the big, comfy double bed when he realized that Jack was staying in the same room, and therefore would have to share.

Now, this would be fine if Joe wasn’t aware of his massive crush on Jack, but the problem was that he was aware of it. So aware, in fact, that the younger man seemed to be on his mind twenty-four seven, which didn’t help at all, but there it was. 

Joe’s mind had gone so fuzzy with embarrassment then that he only half realized Jack saying “so, one bed, huh?” And when Joe did realize, he blushed profusely, stammering out a small “yeah. I guess we’re sharing,” with a little awkward laugh at the end. He needed to man up; it wasn’t like anything was going to happen from this anyway.

He was going to kill Josh.

The boy’s first day doing skiing was a hard one, especially for Jack and Joe, as they were quite new to the whole experience. Both of them, along with Josh and Caspar, decide to go and have a drink at the local bar. 

“Where’s Jack gone?” Joe asks Caspar, having not seen the younger man in quite some time since they got there. 

“I don’t know. I think the last time I saw him, he was hitting on some girl.” Caspar says, and Joe can’t hide the look of disappointment in his face. He looks down at his feet, which felt quite numb due to walking through the snow on their way there, and when he looked back up at Caspar, Joe found that the taller man was laughing at him. 

“I knew it!” he gasped through his laughter. “I knew you’d fall for that!” 

"Fall for what, Cas?" Joe wonders, looking up at Caspar, frowning. 

"I said that 'girl thing' because I knew you liked Jack and I was trying to make sure! Oh, Joe, if you could see the sadness in your eyes..." Caspar chuckled. And it hurt Joe. But he wasn't going to show it, so he responds in a joking tone, "I hate you!" And tries to start a fight with him, but the taller youtuber is having none of it, and grabs Joe's wrists, looking down at the older boy. 

"you need to go and talk to him, Joe!" Caspar pushes, poking Joe's chest lightly with every word, in a pestering sort of manner, "Don't be all offended by what I said! Josh planned to put you together in that single room because we both knew you liked each other! We’re both so fed up with you pining after one another that we decided to give you a little push in the right direction." 

Joe hesitates, "Well, I kind of thought Josh did it on purpose already." He then pauses and gasps. "wait, Jack likes me?" 

Caspar tries not to facepalm at this, "yes Joe! Now go talk to your man!" 

There's something in Joe that makes him feel like it's not the exact right time to go and talk to Jack. After all, they four boys had planned it to be a nice chilled out evening at the bar, and after the whole skiing extravaganza, he didn't want to make Jack feel all pressured. So instead, he tells Caspar he'll talk to Jack tonight, to which Caspar rolls his eyes at and makes Joe promise he will; he’s fed up with the whole saga.

When the four boys get back from the bar, it’s about eleven PM. Joe can feel his heart beating fast in his chest and every time he looks at Jack he feels shivers all down his spine, and heat on his cheeks. Jack notices this as they’re getting changed and ready for bed, and he asks, “are you okay?” 

Obviously, Jack says this because he really does want to see whether Joe is alright or not, but to Joe, it feels las if Jack knows what he’s about to ask. 

“Yeah, I’m fine. I just- I have a question if that's okay with you?” Joe hesitates. 

“I’m always okay with a question,” Jack smirks at the older man.

Suddenly, Joe feels as if he’s been put on the spot, and rather than asking the question, he backs out and says “you know what? It’s nothing. Don’t worry.” 

Jack frowns at this, but despite everything, gets into bed and soon falls asleep after, tired from such a long day.

Joe doesn’t get into bed that long after Jack does, and when he does so, he feels awkward knowing that Jack liked him too. Because of this, Joe tries to sleep as far away as he can from the other man, but nothing feels right. He turns back onto his side, now facing Jack, and admires his features. His hair was spread perfectly across his forehead, although maybe a little tangled and messy, but Joe always liked it that way. Jack’s eyelashes were fanned neatly over his cheekbones, and Joe watches as his pink lips twitch in his sleep.

Oh, how he wishes he could kiss those lips. 

Joe isn’t sure what goes through his head at that moment, but something snaps in his mind and everything in it goes fuzzy all of a sudden, and he feels himself moving into Jack. He feels his eyes closing, and then, finally, he feels his lips on the blonde boy’s. 

He didn’t expect to feel anything back, but then he does, and Joe doesn’t think anything of it, apart from the fact that everything suddenly feels electric and exciting and new, and his arm is snaking up from under the duvet and wrapping around the back of Jack’s head. When they pull away, Joe can see Jack’s eyes staring back at him, and everything in this moment is completely still until Jack mumbles “I was awake you know,” and then chuckles, “Why do you only kiss me when I’m sleeping?” He says, putting air quotes around the word ‘sleeping’.

“W-well it’s not like I’ve done it to you before?” Joe murmurs and Jack laughs at this. "I only found out you liked me today." He reasons, and Jack nods understandingly, caressing the older man’s cheek as he leans in once more.

“How long have you known?” Joe asks once they pull away again. The whole moment feels slow, the two men staring into each other’s eyes. Jack smirks, “I’ve known for a while - maybe a little longer than a month?” He confesses. 

Joe doesn’t reply; he doesn’t do anything but look longingly into Jack’s baby blues. It’s a look that says everything to Jack; it shows him love, it shows him lust and it shows him fear. Fear of what could happen to them. Fear of what might happen if everything crumbles down before them, and Jack reassures Joe by sealing his lips with another kiss, “everything will be okay Joe,” He tells him, “I’ll make sure of it. I-I like you a lot. And I promise that nothing will ever get between us.”

“I like you a lot too, Jack.” Joe intertwines Jack’s fingers with his, “and I promise to take care of you also.” 

Before they turn off the lamp next to them, Joe and Jack share one last and final kiss, and Jack knows that Joe feels the same when he thinks he wants to live in this moment forever.

Tired Talks (JM)

Requests: A cute jack one where you’re cuddling together and he’s really tired and he’s laying on your tummy and you’re playing with his hair and your talking abt shit?!!!?£?

"Jack?" I call into the flat as I struggle to take off my heels and close the door behind me simultaneously. I hear a muffled, wordless response so I peek into the living room. "Hey!"

Jack looks up from his hands where he was rubbing circles into his eyes, looking stressed out as usual. He'd been going through a rough patch recently although he never liked to admit it, always claiming that he had a handle on things. I could read him easily, like a book I could never tire of.

"Hey," he sounds tired. "You're early."

"I wanted to catch you before you went out with the boys." I throw my bag in the vague direction of the dining table and walk to Jack. He smiles up at me and grabs my hands but I can tell from the lack of laugh lines, he was tired and not going to talk about it.

"I don't know if I'm going," Jack sniffs. "Might sit this one out."

"Have you eaten?" I ask, putting the back of my hand to his cheek. He didn't look sick but maybe he was catching a bug?

"Yeah," Jack looks down at his screen. "Conor came by earlier and we had takeout. We left some for you."

I was starving so I let go of Jack's hands to walk to the kitchen and track down the container. "It's nice having Conor home for long. He almost feels like an illusion the way he poofs in and out."

"Yeah but when he's around longer I remember how annoying he can get," Jack jokes. "I'm more fond of him when he's in and out."

I laugh as I take my food out of the microwave and decide to just eat standing at the countertop. It was one of those days. "You light up when he's around babe, you can't hide it!"

"I do not!" Jack insists. "He's always trying to be the center of attention."

"Someone a little jealous?" I tease, knowing exactly how to rile Jack up and loosen him a little.

"In his dreams," Jack shakes his head.

"He's better at it anyway," I say into my food. Ever since I'd known Conor he was the center whether he wanted to be or not. I remember telling Jack I liked him more than a friend at the beginning of our relationship and he was shocked. Because I hung out a lot with both Maynard boys and-occasionally-flirted with Conor, he just assumed he'd been friendzoned.

Jack scoffs and fiddles with something on his laptop so I eat in silence as he edits his video. I clean up and change to clothing a lot comfier than a pencil skirt, sliding in beside Jack on the couch.

"Whatchya editing?" I ask, settling into the old leather. "This week's video?"

"No," Jack groans. "I told a friend I would help edit his edits and he basically sent me the whole thing unedited. I haven't even done my video yet and I need to finish it by tomorrow since we're out of town Sunday."

"Aw babe," I reach out to stroke the back of Jack's neck. The spot where his hair faded away into his neck was my favourite.

"Ugh! I'm so tired!" Jack exclaims before falling backwards into me except he estimated the landing wrong and his shoulders land on my lap while his head hangs off the other side of my lap.

"Spot on," I tease.

"Leave me alone-I'm tired!" Jack says with a smile as he adjusts himself with his head in my lap. I admire how good my boyfriend looked, even with exhaustion tugging at his features.

"I love you," I say, smoothing his hair back. He reaches his hand up and strokes my cheek. I turn quickly and kiss his hand and he laughs, the sound hoarse like he hadn't done it in a while. I feel a small surge of pride for having cracked him.

Jack closes his eyes lightly as I stroke his hair for a while. I think he'd fallen asleep but his eyes suddenly crack open. "Our anniversary's coming up in a week."

"It is babe. Two years with the old ball and chain."

"Hey," Jack opens his eyes fully. "You're not supposed to say that."

"Why's that?" I laugh.

"Aren't we supposed to be married before I say that?"

"Why can't I say it?" I rest my hand on his forehead.

"You don't actually feel that way do you?" Jack asks, all traces of humour gone.

"Of course not babe," I shake my head. "I never feel that way."

"I would never say that-it's stupid." Jack grabs my hand and kisses it. I smile down at my angel and run my fingers through his hair to convince him I never felt that way.

"So why did you bring up the anniversary?" I ask. "Didn't we say we would do something lowkey this year?"

"I wanted to make you something," Jack says as his eyelids flutter. He looked like he was fighting falling asleep or continuing the conversation. "I asked my mum if she had a recipe for her creme brulee. And she told me I would burn the house down."

"Your mum's right," I chuckle. "Best to keep the blow torch out of your hands."

"But we had it on our first date remember?" Jack's voice takes on one of a tired child, asking their mum to remember an obscure story from last week.

"I remember," I smooth his hair back. "At the flashy restaurant you took me to."

"It was an awful first date," Jack smiles while his eyes remain closed.

"One of the worst. You had on that ridiculous shirt."

"I still have it. I call it my lucky shirt!"

"Lucky for what?" I cringe thinking about the patterns.

"I got you while wearing it didn't I?" Jack asks.

"Oi stop with the flattery. That date was bad because of the shirt."

"But then remember they came out with creme brulee-"

"And we were both so excited to crack it perfectly." I laugh.

"We laughed like crazy doing it like we were on the food network," Jack mumbles. "I don't think we can ever return to that place again."

"But after cracking dessert, we cracked the ice between us too." I remind him.

"Why are you so poetic?" Jack looks up at me with sleepy eyes.

"I'm convinced I'm related to Shakespeare." I muse. "My grandpa moved to London from Redditch. Maybe his dad was from where Shakespeare's from-you never know."

"You're so full of shite babe."

"You wouldn't have me any other way," I pry Jack's eye open and he groans, giving in to opening them both.

"I love you, bull and all alright?"

"Good. Hey you know my friend from work? Diana? She was talking about taking a trip to New York and I realised we never got around to doing it."

"Yeah," Jack's closed his eyes and fallen back to a sleepy state. He barely moves his mouth as he answers and his head slowly dips to one side. "Just busy."

"I know you are babe," I play with his hair and it shimmers multiple shade as the light from the sun setting hits the strands. "I was thinking I could plan it all out. We could go for our anniversary."

"Yeah," Jack mumbles. "That's nice."

"Just for a few days," I say quietly. "You can get your mind off of things too. There are thousands of creme brulees in New York."

"Mmm," Jack hums.

"Perfect. I'll start planning it then."

"Mmm," Jack agrees again and I giggle quietly. It was cute how Jack was still trying to keep up the conversation even though he was clearly asleep.

"Can we buy a dog once we come home? Maybe adopt a cat too?"

"Mhm," Jack responds slower.

"I'll name the dog Shakespeare after my ancestor," I whisper. When all I get is Jack's deep breathing I cover my laugh and stroke his hair, kissing his temple for having to put up with me.

I look around and spot the remote on the coffee table so careful not to jostle Jack, I reach for it slowly and grasp it with my fingers. The TV blares on, a high volume we'd left it on the night before and I scramble to put it down but Jack remains unfazed in my lap.

"Guess I'll be here for a while," I say to myself, finding my show on Netflix and pressing play. My fingers thread through Jack's hair again-it was just as therapeutic for me as it was him, and I relax from the day I had with a good show and my love on my lap. A girl didn't need much else to be happy.

Jack Maynard nightmare

Warnings: fluff nightmares Requests always open I have been best friends with the Maynard brothers since I was born so I obviously was friends with the buttercream squad. I lived in a big flat with Conor, Jack, Josh and Casper sometimes stays the night. My room is next to Jacks down the same hallway and we share a bathroom that connects to our rooms. Conor is in the other hallway across the living room and kitchen with Josh but their bedrooms are across from each with the bathroom on the other side of Conor's bedroom. I usually wake up way before the boys at around 6:30 but lately I've noticed Jack is up a lot more before me. I'm getting really worried about him so I go talk to Conor.   "Hey Conor" I say as I knock on the door. "It's open" I walk in and he's laying on his bed playing on his phone. "Hey Con I was wondering if you know what's going on with Jack I'm worried about him. He is almost always up before I am now and his eyes are always red and getting dark circles under them. He looks like he hasn't slept in days and he is being weirdly clingy always coming with me whenever I go out and walking very close to me not that I mind I'm just beginning to worry."  "I'm sure he's gonna be fine y/n you just need to talk to him he really likes you and will respond better if you talk to him." "Ok thanks." I left Conor's room and since it was almost midnight I changed into one of Jacks old t-shirts and went to bed around the middle of the night I heard my door open and close a few seconds later. I looked to see it was nearly four am. I crept into the hall to see Jacks door open. "Jack" I whispered. "Oh shit I'm sorry I knew that would wake you up I'm sorry I just came to check on you" he said. I sat next to him on the bed and grabbed his hands and looked at him. "Jack I want you to tell me what's wrong I know you aren't getting any sleep and that you are not letting me out of your sight I need you to tell me what's wrong so I can help you." I looked at him expectantly and he sighed and told me what was going on. "I've been having really bad nightmares about you disappearing and it's all my fault and I can't find you while you're screaming my name for help, when I wake up I just can't breath." Jack said between sobs and his voice cracked at the end. "Oh Jack Love you should have just come in. Nightmares don't make you weak it just goes to show your caring side darling no one is going to judge you. I'm right here for you when you have nightmares you just crawl right into my bed and we'll cuddle. And if you feel like you're going to have a nightmare or don't feel like sleeping alone just come into my room and so you can hold me and keep me safe, ok?" I told him. "How did I get so lucky to have someone like you in my life you just know how to make anyone feel better about everything." He hesitated and shifted where he was sitting before he spoke again. "Will you stay? Please for me?" He practically begged in a quiet voice while nervously looking at me.  "Of course Jack anytime don't worry about asking just tell me I'm sleeping I here or your sleeping with me anytime." I turned on my side and crawled under the blankets with him as I pulled him over and held home close to me with our legs tangled together. I never went to sleep after that I just layed there and looked at him. When he started to fidget or whimper I ran my fingers through his hair and rubbed circles on his bare back to calm him down.
