My Commentary: This A.M.V. showcases mostly Koushiro's Adoptee storyline, while also including brief scenes from 2020 eps that focused on Koushiro's inclusion or highlights. (There are a few tiny semi-spoilery segments from final battle of Digimon 2020 Episodes 66~67, but mainly show Koushiro.) There are no Tri, Kizuna, or The Beginning spoilers here. However, a finalized version may add in other moments later!

Extended Commentary: An A.M.V. I made in just under 2 hours, or, about an hour and 50 minutes total of editing, plus saving and review checks; as I aimed to finish just in time for: "Kou&Ten Day" a.k.a a "Koushiro & Tentomon Day" {Focus} (5/10, May 10) in the J.P.N fan base, the name comes from the "Kou" of Koushiro's J.P.N name, {Kou = Go = "Five" (5)} as pronounced in J.P.N + "Ten", a nickname for "Tentomon" partially given by Mrs. Izumi during "02" ("Tento-san") Koushiro fans often share Koushiro works on this day, including platonic works.

This particular work, specifically for Koushiro x Taichi, includes a Queer focus lens as the original song did. (Please be respectful if interacting on this work!)

Digi-Adventures ~ Taichi Yagami & Koushiro[u] Izumi {A.M.V. Out-lining/Timeline} for Koushiro x Taichi (+Izumi Family) A.M.V.: Glow [#Tri Spoilers, #Kizuna Spoilers, #Digimon Adventure: Spoilers]… This is the current initial ‘previewed’ look of a half-finished A.M.V., but with sections I can easily jump around and edit in if I ever go back to it in the future.

Time Spent: About 2~ hours total on edits so far, the full amount of time of which basically was an entire full 'work’ day’s worth of work / attention recently (and this isn’t even my job!)

There's only 34 clips so far, but did you all know this vid editor can start crashing around the 20 clips mark if your files/clips are too large?? :')

(It's basically on hold until I can determine it won't crash on me should I continue the interlude.)

Clips with a 4-square symbol in upper left corner have effects on. (Added by me.) White blank-like spaces are clips that already have fade-in effects. (On the time-line they'll look like placeholders and can make editing around them pretty hard if you have a lot in a row like that - you basically have to rely on your memory to remember which clip it is.)

The bottom left clip in bottom row is a corrupted image; this seems to happen sometimes now with this editor too, at totally random times (don't ask me why!) The clip will still play but if you're not careful the whole clip might corrupt, become un-playable and then you have to swap them out :D

Digi-Adventures ~ Taichi Yagami & Koushiro[u] Izumi {A.M.V. Out-lining/Timeline} for Koushiro x Taichi A.M.V.: Only Exception [#Tri Spoilers, #Kizuna Spoilers, #Digimon Adventure: Spoilers]… This is the current initial ‘previewed’ look of a mostly-finished A.M.V., but with sections I can easily jump around and edit in if I ever go back to it in the future.

So this one didn't reach 100~ clips like This one did a bit earlier on, but I got pretty close again. (I could have added in more, but errors started up etc) Though, it wasn't as fast a track this time; Still, it did take quite a bit of effort regardless.

This one still has 84 clips total (if you include the 4 on the fade-out at the end) And took about 3 hours 35 min total, spread out over a span of a few days.

Also, it crashed badly around the point of Kizuna clips. I had to go back in and re-do that entire section of about 12~ clips after. But I wanted to keep all clips in, for the sake of the emotion if it was possible to keep them in.

I'd just like to point out, but, I'm not even being paid to make these and I don't make a single cent off any of my fan works, blog, etc. (I'm just saying...)

I make them because I enjoy the series and I appreciate these characters enough to make these. That's all.

Every clip with a series of four squares in the corners are effects I added in for either start and/or end of said clips. (I mainly use fade-in and fade-out effects the most. Sometimes I'll experiment a bit and attempt things like speeding up a clip, which I also did on some of Ep24 scenes.)

Digimon Adventures ~ Taichi Yagami & Koushiro[u] Izumi {A.M.V. Out-lining/Timeline} for this Koushiro x Taichi A.M.V. [#Tri Spoilers, #Kizuna Spoilers, #Digimon Adventure: Spoilers]... This is the current initial ‘previewed’ look of a mostly-finished A.M.V., but with sections I can easily jump around and edit in if I ever go back to it in the future.

After re-counting clips it looks like this one totals 43 clips. My editor (using an older version of Windows Movie Maker) began crashing yet again around Clip #25, which is Something considering the scene I was showing there (maybe a bit too much motion for WMM to handle at points.)

Clips #7 and #37 look oddly glitched up but play fine, it seems to be another issue of this WMM version. Sometimes I’ll shorten/trim a clip and it just gives me... that. Which is fine if it’s only a few, but when it’s a lot, it makes remembering where I placed certain clips and spliced clips into the timeline; kind of annoying. (And also difficult to work with in general when a lot of such things happen.)

Every clip with a small square of four squares in corner has effects added on. I usually use fade-in or fade-out effects on these for Emotion.

Clip #36, from Adventure ep 28, the gate ep, where Taichi has his hand on Koushiro’s shoulder, is an example of a clip I often use zoom-in effects on because they’re kind of off in the left-hand corner and it can be a very blink-and-you-miss-it scene/moment, especially when I’m using it in sequences of clips that flash quickly, like here.

I started this around 8:30 P.M. last night; finished around 10:30 P.M. Thus in total it took about 2~ hours, give or take, including loading time for clips. 10:30 P.M. ~ 11:30 or so, a.k.a the hour or so after I finish an A.M.V., I usually test it multiple times by viewing and making sure there’s no (or otherwise not much) editing glitching going on, which can very easily happen to me still, especially when I’m using way more than 40~ clips. Sometimes my clips will be placed perfectly fine and still glitch up for completely unknown reasons.

I made this A.M.V. because I was seeing blatant hate comments about canon!Koushiro which deliberately mischaracterized him and his canon again, and then I saw hate comments of a similar manner about canon!Taichi again almost immediately after, not even an hour later. Almost all of these were by “fans” claiming to “love & respect!!1!1!” the so-called ““true”” “canon” of “Taichi” & “Koushiro” (in their view). This was happening ON 08/01 (August 1st, 2022).

(I’m so tired.)

But I was really happy this A.M.V. came out well. (I’m still annoyed at those “fans” though.)

Preview {Version #1}: - The Only Exception (sung / (C) by: Par@more) featuring DUO/O.T.P: - KouTai (Koushiro x Taichi) – (KouxMimi appears briefly in the 2nd verse + Other charas by end, However, the focus is KouTai / specifically Koushiro and Taichi.) {KouxMimi can be read in as basically anything; canon compliant side-ship, A.U.s; side KouTaiMi or poly-ships in general; former KouxMimi mutual crushes ended on good terms?, etc.}

My commentary:

I’m aware there’s quite a few ongoing and recent fan events right now that might have had Taichi or Koushiro involvement, but I was tied up with offline things; Thus, this time is an A.M.V. that is mainly Koushiro-centric, but TAICHI does get some quite good focus too, and, specifically, also their (Very Good) relationship! There is also some vid-style analysis on the dynamics of Izumi Family, as well as the Yagami Family. It’s also yet another "analysis” of Koushiro & Taichi in general, too. (Basically any of my other ships can also be read in, in varying combos.)

Tip: Click on the gear button on player to choose to view in slight better quality + 1080p!!

Notes:

This is the preliminary 1st version of this A.M.V. Hopefully you find some enjoyment as it is now though! The 1st part had taken about 45~ min already. The 2nd verse + chorus took about another 35~ min. This 3rd section took about 30 min at start, another 1 hr to wrap up scenes through the interlude, and already had a total of 1 crashing of my editor. The last segment took about 45 min total; Thus, total time spent on this? 3 hours and 35~ min or so. These may not be final scenes as I make future adjustments. (However, it came together well despite the crash!)

There is a tiny bit of scenery shots from beginning of Kizuna, then, by the interlude, some more notable Kizuna spoilers involving Taichi & Koushiro mainly, but you will see a scene involving Chosen. Tri spoilers, mainly Taichi & Koushiro supporting each other moments, are also added in the interlude and the ending; there are small moments from Saikai, Kokuhaku & Kyousei, mainly. The ends of Kokuhaku, Kyousei & Bokura no Mirai / Our Future are not spoiled, but there is lead-up. Kokuhaku middle-end spoiler occurs in the final chorus; a scene namely showing Taichi and Koushiro supporting each other (I’ve used it often in past A.M.V.s). A tiny Bokura no Mirai moment of just Koushiro is also included.

DigiAdv 2020 (for A.U. spinoff{s}) becomes included by the interlude (it’s mainly Koushiro moments from beginning + middle of Ep 36) However, it can also be seen as inclusive of wider Adventure{s} “canon”; and basically paralleling many of the following canon moments.

This A.M.V. is currently semi- (mostly) / FINISHED. As of now, the preliminary version up until ending is completed. Hopefully you find some enjoyment so far though! - The intro and Koushiro’s section took about 1 hour 15 min alone. - Taichi’s section took another 25~30 min or so (I’m rounding Taichi’s out to about 25.) - The 2nd to last finishing touch took another 45 min of editing for an about 17 second section. - This last one took almost 1 hour more. - And finally, the final stretch was 2 hours 35 min; (Add that all together, and it’s about) almost 6~ hours in total. (this time, it crashed multiple times in-between! I managed to save it!!) As a result of crashings occuring, I tend to use longer clips towards the middle and end. However, this time I somehow managed to fit in a bit more than usual! This one may not be 100 percent polished ‘soon’, but I’m aiming to work on it more by Oct. [If I can’t finish it by then, it’ll be put on the list of things to finish ‘sometime’]

For Autism Awareness Month {April in U.S.+World} {Autistic!Koushiro Headcanon} + Jewish-American Heritage Month {May in U.S.}

-A.U. {Alternate Universe} where Koushiro and Steve have notably more {visible to "Viewer"/"Reader"}; One-on-one interaction between "Our War Game" (and most {eventual} International Chosen discovering "The Network" and Koushiro's involvements in helping + observing it + keep the Inter-national Chosen connected) and "The Beginning";

-In "The Beginning", as the U.S. Chosen are gathered, while it's not outright stated, it's not unreasonable to assume they were keeping an eye on Network updates made by Miyako earlier on to the Network, also often related via Koushiro, {+related by 02 Chosen}. (The pattern in my A.U.s overall likely goes, Koushiro -> Miyako + 02 Chosen {+Iori}; then, 02 Chosen -> back to Koushiro when involving 02 team's extended efforts, who actively helps analyze any info they send, then shares it + any theorizing to the Network)

-In this A.U., Steve, who as a Jew doesn't particularly 'enjoy' being kept in the 'dark' about Whats Happening to the Self when it's impacting Steve's {religious} (+daily) life, ends up reaching out to Koushiro earlier on to try and get to know the Chosen in Odaiba better, and also show solidarity with Koushiro's group's efforts. In the end, it's likely because of Koushiro's extended earlier efforts, as well as getting to know the U.S. Chosen better in Steve's own time, that Steve succeeds in remaining semi-active as a main member of the U . S. Chosen, and semi-active in acting as support that can easily be called upon, like most International Chosen.

-Koushiro and Steve in this A.U. share a friendship and communication style that TRANSCENDS what most may think of as "friendship" or "good" styles of ""communication"" - both know (Steve especially also knowing thanks to own culture) that no matter how far apart they are, they can always rely on each other to be there when needed (or wanted), even if it's difficult to "physically" meet up in off-line life.

-As stated in this scene, Steve wasn't necessarily first 'Chosen' in 1991, or at least not 'exactly' in the same timeframe as Michael. (I also headcanon Steve being some months older than Michael, who I consider to be around the same age/Japanese school year as Koushiro and Mimi, so Steve would possibly be on the older end of year, for the most part, if not born the same year/timeframe as Taichi, just Chosen a little later.)

All of these can be watched as stand-alones! Though they can also tie into my fic-verse / other A.M.Vs-verse; All of these are fine to watch on their own. The songs here tend to be much calmer than my other 'Verse, but even some of these can be passionately intense (which isn't very bad 'fitting'-wise for even direct Koushiro or Taichi focus specifically!)

Some are still currently being worked on (marked with "In-Progress") and may take a while to reach full Completion, but feel free to check back to this Index!

"Why are you doing this?"

Because when I was much younger, so many other ships already had LOADS of A.M.V.s and I never found very many for Koushiro or Taishiro / KouTai specifically, which I always found very odd, because they had more than just enough material to make full-length A.M.V.s out of... (and maybe more than you expected!!)

Years later, I'm evening out the playing field for Koushiro!!! (But more seriously, it's because I seriously enjoy making these and if I don't make them the idea is going to repeatedly echo in my head until I finally have it DONE, also as many of these were planned for many months~years and the outlines can take equally as long!!)

I'd be really happy and glad if anyone can come to understand Koushiro, Taichi, or KouTai (/Taishiro) more via these A.M.V.s, including from my own perspectives.

I'd be really happy to hear your thoughts or tags rambles!! Please let me know if something intrigued you or stood out to you, or if you liked a particular edit I made on a scene or sequence of scenes!! A lot of these can be quite hard for me to achieve! Respecful Feedback helps me improve and I may branch out further to other parts of the series + characters later on once I wrap up as many of my currently planned A.M.V.s as possible.

IKEBANA (生け花, 活け花, "arranging flowers" or "making flowers alive") is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It is also known as Kadō (華道, "way of flowers"). The tradition dates back to Heian period, when floral offerings were made at altars. Later, flower arrangements were instead used to adorn the tokonoma (alcove) of a traditional Japanese home.

Ikebana reached its first zenith in the 16th century under the influence of Buddhist tea masters and has grown over the centuries, with numerous distinct schools extant today.

Digi-Advs A.M.V. Timeline for A.M.V. ~ “robot” boy featuring : KouTai{shiro} [Koushiro x Taichi] + 2020!KouTai{shiro}, (also) Yamato as support with {a side of possible YamaKouTai as polyship and/or friendship} (includes bits from all series; Adventure, 02, tri., Kizuna, and 2020)

This A.M.V. has 115~ edited clips (the last couple have audio so I’m not including them specifically, but) Any clip with a square of boxes in corner has an effect on. Some clips get weirdly corrupted if you edit them too long/much or clip them at a certain timeframe, don’t ask me “why” but they make keeping track of the timeline hard sometimes if there’s a lot of them.

A.K.A. Yes, I’m Still Using Windows Movie Maker in 2k22. I have another editor for a few effects if I need them but the timeline’s cursor/marker (?) blinks/flashes and it’s not easy on my eyes with sensory issues and such, and absolutely no way to turn that off? so this will have to do!

Everything from the last 4 rows onward was edited in a new file, copied, and pasted into the completed timeline as I hoped for this thing to not crash on me because typically by anywhere from 20~50 clips it WILL Crash On You if you edit too much

It’s technically not actually completed I wanted to add a bit more in but The Crashing TM had already begun so we’ll see if it’s even done by August 1st?!?

Time spent: 10~ hours over a period of 18 days since the start of the month (A.K.A.: Please respect A.M.V. makers too. A.M.V. Making Is Hard)
