(I was so caught up by Sh@vuot and the comm{s} happening that I didn't get a chance to document this, but in case...)

More bot-esque blank blogs I had to block today.

The 1st's user-name is suspicious because it literally follows "da02t" format while having J.P.N text on. {I highly doubt they're actually J.P.N} They're following mainly Advs pages* and lurking Menoa tags. {*Including someone I had long blocked.}

The 2nd's user-name is just jumbled, numbers and letters {I left off the 2nd half}- which would be enough to indicate it a bot except almost all its 'Likes' + few rbs are Take+Dai as ship. {Including a couple things I r.b.'d despite not posting it much} It'd be one thing if platonic Take+Dai was included too, because bots don't discriminate between platonic and ship in tag's, but this {person?} clearly did. Its also following mainly Advs pages. It didn't Like a single other post to differentiate itself.

Both have no icon which was almost enough to make me auto-report.

🎤出演アーティスト🎤

MKRDTSB（み から でた さび / Bedroom-music） 音楽家・写真家・文筆家。抵抗と灯火主催。この星に生まれて以来、深い枯れた井戸の底に踞っている。2023年12月、井戸からパレスチナがつながる。この星のさまざまな問題が可視化される。希死念慮を抱える傍ら、死ぬまで生きると決めた。自らの存在があらゆる権力・理不尽・腐敗に抵抗を示す。

Peace ∈ CaF2（ぴーす かふつ / ラッパー） 昼は底辺の財政学徒、夜は曲作るマイメン達と。 自分の人生とこの社会にようやく向き合う気になった、 元マセガキの、今はイキった若者。 「俺が社会を変えられなくても、俺に刺激を受けた奴が社会を変える。」 (2Pac, 1994)

hirano taichi（ひらの たいち / シンガーソングライター） 大阪府出身。2010年に上京し、翌2011年に東京で東日本大震災に遭う。反原発のデモなどを行う。2018年、自ら監督、制作し、3.11以降の路上の行動をまとめたドキュメンタリー「TwitNoNukes Presents STANDARD」を発表。その際に音楽制作を行ったことをきっかけに、2019年6月より音楽活動を開始。自身で作詞・作曲・編曲・歌唱を行うシンガーソングライターとして活動する。ライブ活動を続ける傍ら、2020年1月、楽曲「お金で寝る身体」を発表。以降音源を散発的に発表。2023年1stアルバム「via」を発表。

ネコダ珈琲（ねこだこーひー / coffee color eyed soul） 2014年からピアノ弾き語りをしている。主にLaura Nyro Todd Rundgren XTC を愛す。NoHate NoFake。だれもころすな。

Funny enough, I do see why the 2010s nostalgia rehash for stages is annoying From 1991-2009 you typically don't have a Sonic Team game revisit an area in another game without major changes (Adventure Ice Cap and Red Mountain are exceptions, though look drastically different due to canon context). I largely suspect this is mainly due to wanting to experience multiple types of areas, in addition to the general theme of adventuring around the world. Part of it helps that locations are specifically named with 2-3 acts max, as opposed to say Mario where it's 8 generic themes with a dozens levels unnamed occupying said theme

The noncanon 8 bit games by Aspect and even Fighters awkwardly ignore this, overusing Green Hill for whatever reason. I guess they assumed Sonic was like Mario in "base home stage" despite him canonically going around the world. Triple Trouble gets weirdly silly, treating it like Angel Island in floating 2010s (Outside Generations) having areas in mainline be overtly based on older areas was deliberate. We got tired cuz of Sonic 4's failure and Lost World's mid reception. Even blatant enemies got reused, when Eggman generally has a multitude of new ones occupying similar roles

For ref for Sonic Team enemy reuse before 2010 -Needlenose (Sonic CD): Reused in Chaotix -Spinner (SA1): Reused in Adv2, Adv3, Unleashed -GUN Wing (SA2): Reused in Rush -GUN Hunter (SA2): Reused in Rush -Buzzer 2 (Adv 2): Reused in Adv 3 -Falco (Heroes): Reused in Rush (recolored) -Egg Pawn (Heroes): Reused in Shadow 05, Rush, Rivals 1 and 2 -Egg Hammer (Heroes): Reused in Rush -Egg Bishop (Heroes): Reused in Rush -Egg Flapper (Heroes): Reused in Rush, Black Knight explicitly for Legacy Missions -Klagen (Heroes): Reused in Rush This is a small list mostly not having enemies reused for mainline titles, though it gets me Rush had less unique enemies compared to Adv 1-3, and Rush Adv So the sense of familiarity Sonic 4/Colors-Runners while strong, did feel weirdly none innovative for Eggman himself lore wise Ironically Forces doesn't explicitly reuse enemy designs despite Chemical Plant and Green Hill. Even then those two stages are actually transformative enough out of context to not feel uninspired, but sadly it was not the first that decade

Mania similarly in general was criticized for lack of original zones. Even within original zones many old enemies or mechanics returned. If this weren't a game made very late in nostalgia rehashing, it'd be far better received, though nonsensical zone transitions and being explicitly "Classic" for design is still iffy. Nothing prevented them from using "Modern" designs for chars But more importantly, the splitting of Sonic to be two chars has done immense damage to representation. It just made it easier for reviewers to go "Only Classic is good" with Mania doing so, and Forces "failing". And that's a mentality I dislike Unfortunately I'm seeing fans effectively pull the same method of "splitting" for Sonic for "Adventure era" being different than "modern", so whoops Even weirder, I see many Sonic fangames be oddly fascinated with reusing South Island. Even though the mythos of the Emeralds is not specific to it, and certain locales already overused in the franchise. For hating the nostalgia they seem to weirdly self apply it (especially beta stuff), with flimsier lore than official games

I find it messy and limiting overall. Shadow x Gens is still nostalgia appealing, which for Shadow may be more detrimental than intended. I do hope Sonic Team getting more of a budget lets them experiment more again

Just Beause The World Wasn't Built For You Doesn't Mean You Have To Change

Nobody is going to argue that being left-handed is easy. In ways both large and small, our society is built around a right-handed norm. There are ways for left-handed people to adapt to a right-handed world when they need to. Some of them can be really small, but make a big difference. I remember how excited my then-wife was when she discovered gel pens that didn't smear her words across the page. A small $2 pen made a huge change for her, but did not require anyone else to do anything. There are entire storefronts full of products specifically designed for lefties. There are ways that the right-handed world can work with people who are left-handed. These can be more extensive, like having left-handed desks, scissors, kitchen implements, and power tools. And then there's what we used to do. We used to tell lefties they were "bad," both by our words and our actions. We used to force them to do things the "right handed" way, causing untold amounts of emotional harm, learning disorders, dyslexia, stuttering, and other disorders. We used to force lefties to be someone they weren't, because that was easier. It was more convenient. There is a big difference between acknowledging limitations and giving people tools to overcome those limitations as they choose to -- and forcing someone to conform. The first acknowledges the humanity of the person. The second -- no matter how well it's wrapped up in pretty language or "reformed techniques" -- tells the person that they are "less than." Less important. Less worthy of time, attention, or effort. Less convenient.

In the late 20th century -- about the time I was born -- our society began to treat left-handed people as people. People that may have different needs, people that may need to have some special adaptations or tools in order to navigate the world as well as they might like, but people nonetheless. A person's worth should not be based on how "useful" or "convenient" they are to schools, employers, or parents.

This post is actually about autism, neurodivergence, and "Applied Behavior Analysis" (ABA) therapy and "Autism Speaks," which pushes the same mindset.

Embedded in ABA therapy is a viewpoint that autism must be "cured" and that autistic traits must always be minimized or eliminated for the convenience of allistic persons. This mindset -- rather than one that empowers the autistic person to advocate for themselves and work with the rest of the world -- implicitly tells autistic persons that they are "wrong." In my lifetime society has finally stopped trying to force left-handed people to be "normal" for the convenience of others. 第1回は、パレスチナで続くイスラエルによる虐殺に、一市民として抗い、パレスチナに連帯を示すために開催します。

🎤出演アーティスト🎤

MKRDTSB（Bedroom-music） 音楽家・写真家・文筆家。抵抗と灯火主催。この星に生まれて以来、深い枯れた井戸の底に踞っている。2023年12月、井戸からパレスチナがつながる。あまりにも遅すぎた。それからというもの、この星のさまざまな問題が可視化される。自らの存在があらゆる権力・理不尽・腐敗に抵抗を示す。

ネコダ珈琲（coffee color eyed soul） 2014年からピアノ弾き語りをしている。主にLaura Nyro Todd Rundgren XTC を愛す。NoHate NoFake。だれもころすな。

山口勲（詩人） 7歳から詩を書き始める。高校3年の冬に詩の朗読会に初めて参加したが怖くて逃げ出し、以後2年間イベントに行けなかった。2009～2023 大島健夫と千葉詩亭を共催。2016～2019年 日本と世界の詩を紹介する雑誌『て、わた し』を刊行。自分の詩より人の詩を伝えるほうが好き。2023年宮尾節子賞受賞。

原口昇平（詩人） 非正規の言語労働者。パレスチナに目を向けるようになったのは、東京藝大院在学中の2009年始、イスラエルによるガザ侵攻の現地取材ルポを訳してブログに載せたときから。妻&特性ある子と暮らし、ふだんは広告翻訳で口に糊し、まれに詩を書く。資本主義と家父長制と植民地主義の結託に順応している間だけ独占者からわずかな富や権利を恵んでもらえる体制に反対。

You! オープンマイクの時間を20-30分設けます。飛び入りでパレスチナを思うスピーチ・トーク・演奏・パフォーマンスなどを歓迎します。ご希望者が複数いらっしゃる場合は、時間の範囲内で適宜お声がけをします。

Personal nitpicks on Sonic models in games, mainly based on accuracy to art

Christmas Nights into Dreams: 7/10

It's a generally nice model, but suffers from textures being harsh for eyebrow shafing, cheek too stretched, tans too orange, and proportions being Sonic 1 based despite it being 1996

Sonic the Fighters: 8/10

A well expressive and poly rich model, the only issues are proportions and being flat shaded

Sonic R: 4/10

I don't care for nostalgia, his head is WAY too square, hands are tabs, and cheek too stretched. And proportions are off too

Sonic Jam/3D Blast Saturn: 5/10

Slightly better than Rs, but shares most of the same issues

Adventure 1: 6/10

It's beyond plush, super plush dolled for body and square for shoes. Completely off to Uekawa's art, and cheek is too stretched. The topology for spines is poor, especially with how center spine is shoved up

And no, it's not "more classic" (even though it's a tweak of the 1997 CG teaser), cuz even that comparison is way too off for proportions and limb thickness

Adventure 2: 7.5/10

This is fairly accurate...to Adventure 1 art. Proportions are off to SA2 art as a result of being mostly made in 2000. The bone hierarchy is iffy

Sonic Heroes: 8/10

This is super accurate to art, and animation improved with a nicer rig

Sadly the colors are too shiny, flat and bright, and mouth model in cutscenes too basic

SegaSuperStars Eyetoy: 7/10

Art is a weird globbed subdivision of the Heroes model, and ingame is similar. Otherwise it's accurate

Shadow the Hedgehog: 7/10

Hey, the art's updated for more detailed lighting, why didn't you? Just changing the pohn_t texture isn't enough! Or Knuckles proportions for some reason...

Sonic Rush: 7/10

This game's weird. Lots of Heroes/Shadow era designs for cast, but Sonic isn't one of them. It's serviceable, though too square for head

Sonic 06: 6/10

Man it's a shame they bothered to do detailed rigging for mouth with how rushed this was. The vertex mat color for texture overlay is a bizarre choice, same with the gloves being very off white, and shoes off red. Proportions are too lanky compared to Blur and even Marza CG, and mocap anim in cutscenes were rushed to hell. Interestingly, the only Sonic game with true hair physics per spine, and the last where the iris is a separate mesh. A shame

Though in game Eggman is worse so ^shrug^

Riders 1: 7/10

Despite expressive facial poses, the model is really off for detail to art and CG. The color and shininess is pretty bad, to where people mistook this game to use the same engine as Heroes

SegaSuperstars Tennis/Sonic and Sega AllStars Racing: 7/10

Sumo Digital tried to replicate Marza's CG model, though the results are iff for muzzle. Mouth anims are too restricted, and eyebrow expressions are dead

Meanwhile Shadow is weirdly happy and expressive in comparison

Secret Rings/BK base: 7/10

The eyebrows are a bit too browy, and center mouth is barely animated. Oddly, side mouth was seen in E3 only

Rivals 1/2: 8/10

Despite limitations, it did a fairly good job on representing all. Confused on why Espio reused Heroes CG model in icons/base though. Shadow 05 is there...

Rush Adv./Colors DS : 7/10

It's lower poly to Rush, spines are too flat, but it's barely noticeable on 196p DS. More facial/hand expressions in cutscenes

Riders ZG: 8/10

Texture work improved drastically, though still has problems for mesh

Unleashed: 9/10

Really high quality, honestly too much for 360 at the time, but really nice. Great accuracy and proportions, the lighting in game served it well, even if not PBR

Colors: 7/10

Slimmed down for waist compared to Unleashed, but why are the colors bad?

Sonic 4: 8/10

The model is fine, the gross shaders aren't

Free Riders: 7/10

It's accurate, but completely stripped the series of its originality. Rip skater proportions

Generations: 8/10

Same proportions as Colors but with better textures, but why is there vertex paint lipstick? It's gross

Sonic and Sega AllStars Racing Transformed: 7.5/10

It's better than past Sumo models, but still meh for facial anim/pose. Again, Shadow is weird in comparison

Lost World: 6.5/10

This marked when Marza refused to change proportions, and it seems to be last minute here on Sonic Team's behalf. Sonic's hip bones are way too low. It's a mediocre edit of the Gens model. Super Sonic's model has a 2 mouth bug too

Forces/Frontiers: 7/10 (6.5/10 Forces)

Marza again refuses to change their 2010 CG model, and ST changed hair length to cater to nostalgia. The anims are stiff, Force's color is gross, and the shoved up center spine is distractingly bad

I don't like it, even if "technically" good of a model

Team Sonic Racing: 7.5/10

They finally changed it...kinda still has the same problems as before for static face. Spine position is weird

At least Shadow isn't derply smiling again
