I can imagine izou being the main reason the crew isn't rotten and dirty like he set up a shower and bath schedule and is very strict on it.

Thatch working everyone's dislikes and allergies to provide them all food the enjoy.

Shanks constantly annoying the whitebeard pirates.. like all the time just using the den den mushi to call and say "we should have a drinking contest shirohege-" (they hang up)

The nurses recruiting marco to force treatment on whitebeard.

Whitebeard knowing he doesn't have all that long left so he goes out of his way to actually do fun things with his sons

You standing on point, not only would rayleigh showoff his hairdo with pride but with reason because he would be rocking it. Wether It’s young Rayleigh or older rayleigh they both have enough hair to be braided and they would look great, though his pride definetly helps it look better.

Again this if Ace had died, I think Shanks would have picked the beads but I can see two scenarios happening. Either like you said he would keep them so he can give them to Luffy on their long awaited meeting or he would give them to Marco before they parted ways. Or he can do both by splitting the beads and keeping half and then passing the other half to Marco.

Marco takes care of Stefan more than anyone else, you can always see the pupper falling after the first mate.

Omg yes, and even Zoro who would act annoyed either really is annoyed with it but lets it happen or he secretly enjoys it, depends on his mood. Chopper of course is the best option since the reindeer is the same way, always seeking that contact with people.

He designed Whitebeards coat, after he ‘forgave’ him for what he did to Oden, and making his master dangle on a rope for three days, I reckon he would take one look at whitebeard and be like ‘if i’m going to be here you got to atleast look presentable’ (same for the rest of the crew) plus this is also his way of apologizing for the way he had acted before. After that he has unoficially become the tailor of the ship, a lot of the crew is quite fond of their wardrobe and would not like to part with it hence why Izou’s abilities are so appreciated. Call it a trade of sorts, he does this for them but they must look presentable before they ask for his help or they will be rejected so you know if someone is clean it’s because they tore some clothing and need Izou to fix it.

Oh for sure, this is canon im pretty sure. We know he catered to Whitebeard and cooked special meals for him to help his condition. ( I think this was cannon, correct me if I ‘m wrong). So it’s not far fetched to say that this extends to the rest of the crew as well

I can see shanks calling Marco for drinking competitions to try to recruit him further, he never gives up on trying to get him to join his crew. When the nurses and Marco withold all alcohol from Whitebeard, he answers the phone and agrees just to have acess to alcohol aagain.

While on that topic, we know whitebeard is stubborn as a mule, sulking when he loses something or thing’s don’t go his way (like when Oden went with Roger) sometimes that stubborness is too much for the nurses to handle and they need to bring in an expert. Just the son scolding the father, whitebeard ends up sulking by the end of the conversation

Even before he got his diagnosis I think he would go this route. I mean all his life he had dreamed of having his own family and for a long while he was alone or surrounded by a crew with basically opposing views to his own where everyone was on their own so when he finally got just that he tried to be as involved as he could.

Gayest character tournament: Round 1 Side A Results are in!

People thought Devon was hella gay, but they just couldn't ignore lesbian icon Nami either, and their battle ended in a whooping victory for Nami! Nami 84.3% - Devon 15.7%

To the slight surprise of the mod, a lot of people saw how gay Kureha was, and Bartolomeo never really came close! Bartolomeo 43.2% - Kureha 56.8%

Yes, if you read the tags you'd know this battle was between two characters I hold dearly. I had expected it to be more of a battle, but Izou won with flying colors. Izou 76% - Wire 24%

Next up were our marine boyfriends (or not - I'm not telling you what to ship). Koby was definitely more convincingly gay. Koby 74.3% - Helmeppo 25.7%

They guy in the pink feathered coat against the mad scientist. Both ar pretty gay, but the voters had a clear preference anyway. Doflamingo 80% - Caesar 20%

Both Croc and Smoothie leave their oponents dry of any juice, but only one could be the winner. (Trans icon) Crocodile takes the lead. Crocodile 70.7% - Smoothie 29.3%

Well, this was the battle of the day... Iceburg took the lead quite quickly in this one, but Marco fans stepped up, fought hard to make people see how gay Marco was, and in the last hour(s) of the competition, managed to turn the tides! But boy, was it close. Iceburg 48.6% - Marco 51.4%

The last battle was also surprisingly close (well surprising to the mod at least). Vivi took the lead first, and then it sayed more or less tied for a long time, every now and then the one or the other taking the lead. In the end, more people saw Buggy's gayness, and he managed to get a small victory over the princess. Buggy 56.5% - Vivi 43.5%

He comes into the kitchen and sees the package on the counter, he grins to himself as he walks over, it’s decorated like an owl and he already knows who it’s from he can’t help but smile even wider, the corner of his eyes crinkled in fondness as he slowly opened it.

Thatch pulled out the scarf first and he knew you’d made it yourself, it was obvious it was handmade with love. He felt the soft fabric and wrapped it around his neck, he loved that it was like his regular iconic scarf just so soft and warm, it would help him when he was walking across the deck in the cold and chilly evenings and mornings.

The fact so much love went into it made it his new favorite thing. He looked inside and saw there were even more things. He picked out the little picture, a cute doodle of him and he chuckled. He went to his noticeboard where a few notes were pinned, a few photos of him and his friends and family, he pinned it up there next to a photo of him, you, Marco, Ace and Izou from last Christmas.

He then looked inside the bag again, seeing the little heart, already knowing where he was going to put it on his nightstand.

tbh izou being one of the hottest messes in the game is the best thing about him - not only is it endearing, it makes him easy to relate to. he’s kind of dumb, and even as a swordsman, he isn’t one of the best, having never achieved his full potential. he gets pissed off when he feels like he’s being slighted, talks a game that’s way bigger than his actual skill level, and has full on breakdowns over perceived instances of being ditched by his friends. on valentine’s day, he gets drunk and throws up in your room. when he apologizes to you that he’s not good for anything but killing people, he isn’t just being humble. izou is a trainwreck dumpster fire little yippy dog of a man who gets by on being good at one specific thing, and that makes him feel a lot closer to us than the average heroic spirit. his motivations and values are pretty mundane, too. izou never really wanted to become a manslayer for the sake of it, but because it was a way for him to earn money and respect. the minute he started to lose those things, he became apathetic about his choices, and wonders if he did the right thing in the first place. but ultimately, he struggles to accept that he took the wrong path because it would mean that his bad decisions started with the people who helped make his career - his childhood friends. even if izou didn’t get (or at least get to keep) what he was hoping to out of becoming an assassin, what got him there (his friends) is so important to him that it’s difficult for him to accept that they had anything to do with mistakes. even taking into account the way ryoma betrayed him on top of everything else, izou still believes in and cares about their friendship, and gets upset when ryouma doesn’t treat him like a friend even as he claims that he’ll never forgive him. among heroes with superhuman skills and lofty ideals, izou is just a dude who wanted to hang with his friends, overcome an inferiority complex, and live the good life.

I always think abt the 1996 romeo + juliet moment where they see each other through the aquarium glass thats iconic and i always envision this for my ships its so GOOD

Like the vibes and idk what colours they rock theres too many options but im always keen to see Ace in pure white as a contrast dont get that suit dirty or Izou WILL skin you alive, Ace

Marco by contrast, indigo and together they make up the colours of the flag they’re all so proud of

yknow Marco has the top two buttons popped to tease his chest tattoo, Ace however has no shirt at all straight up suit jacket, silk inner panelling against skin, its tailored to cut close to his teeny waist but opens up around his chest and my god his cleavage weehehrhoasuhdeo

Ace is fiddling with whatever product thats been put in his hair, its strange to see all of his face with his hair pushed back, but Marco isnt complaining bc goddamn his profile is simply stunning

Ace likewise is dumbstruck bc he didnt even realise how clothes could change the posture and presence of a man but Marco pulls off the lackadaisical pirate as easily as socialite nobility

How unfair

Anyway its super gay and theyre really awkward and nervous bc oh no hes hot

Ace coaching himself mentally just like how Namur helpfully taught him, whenever youre nervous, think about people naked it helps!

Ace automatically strips Marco in his mindseye and wants to melt through the floor boards because that did not HELP HIM AT ALL !!!

Marcoace but the WBP see their obvious crushes and pining for each other and decide to do a little meddling

Ace is like oh Marco could never want a good for nothing like me

Meanwhile Marcos like oh I’m too old and crusty and boring for someone so dynamic and young as Ace

Marco gets “tripped” up by someone in the crew, stumbles right into the strategically positioned Ace who was lured over by another crew member under the pretense of showing him something

Theyre all rewarded with the sight of Ace catching Marco before he face plants and the two are stuck there beet red, sweating like oh. Oh .

This close, Ace can see Marco’s eyelashes are blond too, golden under sunlight and that his eyes are not all blue but threaded with a strange inhuman violet

Marco likewise can see just how many freckles Ace has beneath his natural tan, the little scars that litter his body from battles past and prior to his devil fruit, he can see Ace’s eyes are a warm stormier grey instead of his previously imagined steel

Another time they get mysteriously locked in the storage room together! What do they do? Kick the door down together and then get ordered by Pops to fix the door together, captains orders!

Ace gets really drunk one time, courtesy of Thatch casually spiking Ace’s drink with heavier shots of liquor with a sleight of hand, grins catlike when he hefts Ace into Marco’s arms like be a darling and take our sloppy drunk to bed he looks awful

Marco holds Ace’s hair out of his face as he hurls his guts up over starboard side, marvels at how soft it actually is, and despite their situation, Ace’s inebriation is adorable and charming both

He takes it back when Ace demands he stays with him, wants to snuggle, the fall into the too small bunk fully clothed, Marco tucks his nose into Ace’s clavicles and freezes up when his big arms circle around him and squeeze him tightly in a drunken squish of a hug, mumbling about this and that

He doesnt sleep a wink that night, too preoccupied with watching Ace, wondering if this is the only way he can be close to him

Another time they take out a “rival” crew attack and after the fight are thoroughly praised by their divsions who catcall and whistle like damn dont you two look a pretty pair huh you guys made mincemeat of those lugs, perfect synergy etc etc

Ace tugs the brim of his hat low over his eyes to hide his blush, Marco thankfully still has his arms transformed as wings and hides his own behind burning blue plumage
