Akane Tatsuki (茜 樹) - [he/him] The leader/"conductor" of TWT. Standard idol heartthrob, and absolute fuckboy. Imagine Sakasaki Natsume, except he's actually an awful person and he's steal your wallet if given the chance. As much as I'm mean to him, he's very charismatic and fiercely loyal, caring deeply about the people he's close to, and would sacrifice anything if it means the safety of his family.

Seong Ari (성 아리) - [she/her] The saxophone player, as well as the background producer, of TWT. Girlboss. Takes on as much work as possible, overworking herself very often. Paired with Tatsuki, they often resort to tactics that are... less than savoury to get their way, with plans provided by her. Can often resort to "silly" means to get her way, but very no-nonsense otherwise. Ingests enough caffeine daily to kill a horse.

Iwasaki Kaito (岩﨑 快斗) - [he/him] Trombonist of TWT. Incredibly physically strong, often using his physical strength as the backbone of his image, but crumbles when approached with any situation that cannot be overcome with brute force. Very emotionally vulnerable, uses this to connect on a deeper level with people he knows, far deeper than those around him. Filled with love. Don't hurt him.

Taguchi Chihiro (田口 千尋) - [she/her] Flutist of TWT. Rather timid, but not dreadfully anxious. Is always seeking some form of identity, knowing very little about herself and wanting to experiment to see what fits her. Tends to enjoy the simple pleasures in life, choosing to move at a slower pace than her peers. Although she doesn't think highly of herself, she's more than happy to uplift those around her.

Furukawa Shiori (古川 汐里) - [she/they] Trumpeter of TWT. Claiming to be the "hero of all", they want to make sure everyone is playing by the rules. Unfortunately, this does not often mean "established law", and is closer to "rules she made up herself". Chaotic good. Butts heads with anyone who tries to do anything "wrong" in their eyes, making enemies fast. No fucking chill. Zero.

asking out of curiosity— no ulterior motives at all— I can't help but notice the fact that you seem to have professional expertise in music. Thoughts on how birdmen can/should/would be scored? (not for anything, this isn't the biggest forseeable issue for a project I have in mind or anything)

Your question single handedly made me scour my blog because you are correct. I am a professional musician. Classically trained mezzo soprano, concert soloist, choral/orchestral director and music teacher at your service. I have opinions. Like I said in this post: Composer Taku Iwasaki. The link is dead here but listen to the Magic Kaito 1412 stuff the score has very strong, modern vibe but doesn't need to be a back breaking shonen. The vibe isn't one to one because Magic Kaito is very much a more light hearted endeavor but it's a score that tries and succeeds in being cool. Now, Taku also knows how to get glorious and hype, which Birdmen doesn't need but as the themes grow divine and grand, his work on Noragami speaks for that need. Taku did Kekkaishi though I would say its a very shonen soundtrack there. But let me clarify because this composer has range. Birdmen would benefit from a very modern score, strong but subdued beats and whole lot of synth and scratch for atmosphere and interest. But, when the moments get grand, turn on the strings, let the choir wail in the distance. Not only is it portraying the time period of the modern age, but it hints at the constant future-oriented thinking in the narrative. Not only would it help the sci-fi themes but it would allow for the psychological strengths of the manga to shine forth. Eishi theme would work well with a very growling bass foundation but with a surprisingly spirited beat and melodic line. Takayama would get a wash pad track just meant to unsettle you. Eden would get some kind of technological backdrop with foreboding strings. Something that hearkens to their obsession with art and biblical lore. To go a step further, I'd associate... piano melodies with their human life, as its a solo instrument with a lot of variety in its execution. The synth and wash pad would mesh great with the Birdmen aspects of the story as well as let the fun of their new life come out with a good beat here and there. There would be tons of room for the highs and lows of their journey but the music could really signal their synergy as a species.... I'm dreaminggg aaaa I'm now listening to the Nora-tan. This is very fun.

Oh snap a magical boy?! That’s right Kaito is a magical boy who represents the dragon, in this world anyone can use magic! Kaito is a very energetic and fun going lad, he often spends time supporting and trying to get Haru to come out of her shell. “Life’s too short, ya gotta live it too the fullest” is what he would say.

Kaito is another one of my favorite characters to create because, he’s always trying his best to help Haru and his friends shine in his own way. He’s a very extroverted, very supportive and loving boy!

A second key visual for the “Nami yo Kiitekure” (Wave, Listen to Me!) TV anime has been unveiled. 

tacica will perform the opening music theme song, while Harumi will covering the ending theme. Kouki Uchiyama also joins the cast as the voice of Shinji.

The new project will air in April 2020.

2019.09.13 Shounen Club feat Masuda

This was the second part of the SC from last week and this time Masuda-san participated in a Tegomass medley, or, as I call it, Open Auditions. He did 3 bits of Tegomass songs, each with a different partner. King & Prince’s Kaito is a huge fan of him so the kid was over the moon to sing with him. The there was Taiga and finally, Iwasaki Taisho from Bishounen. I vote for that one. They sang Miso Soup and the kid’s voice actually FIT IT. Like, he was good and he held himself well. Massu looked so happy to sing them good songs (and not be outshined). So get ready for Masuiwa. Or a new 4-member group.

kaito   iwasaki.         masatos   only   biological   child   ;      he   was   fourteen   when   daiten   was   put   into   masatos   care.         kaito   tends   to   have   bitter   feelings   towards   daiten,         feeling   like   she   took   away   his   father   and   his   childhood   home.

since   daitens   quirk   was   dangerous,         masato   made   sure   daiten   and   kaito   were   separated.         he’d   moved   kaito   out   of   his   childhood   home,         first   having   him   stay   with   his   mothers   family   and   then   getting   an   apartment   for   him   when   he   became   sixteen.         this   apartment   is   where   masato   often   went   to   when   he   didn’t   want   to   deal   with   daiten,         or   risk   being   close   to   her   quirk.

kaito   acknowledges   how   badly   masato   treated   daiten   now   that   he’s   alot   older,         and   now   at   21   is   working   as   a   secretary   at   endeavors   hero   agency.

his   quirk   is   alot   like   his   dads,         where   he   can   stop   someone   from   moving   around   or   from   using   their   quirk   at   a   touch.
