well first and foremost the vibes of the song fits heiya perfectly fhgjk but also lyricism and tone... yep. quick breakdown of heiya's background since i doubt i'll ever be able to do it properly she's an interesting character for me because she like a lot of my other characters has lost. everything. she had a wife and a child and they were both killed and she had to leave her home again and again and unlike how some of my others would have taken this she has never flagged in her unwavering dedication to preserving hope. for herself for her people for the future etc etc. which is a very fucking difficult thing to do! the world changes faster than you can keep up with it sometimes but for heiya she will not let herself tire and be swept away in it all. people rely on her. she's a guiding star as much as she is a woman. she's a lover and a fighter and thats what buffalo replaced means to me! so

All of Y'all should totally watch Prodigal Son on HBO (not free:() or the CW (Free!:)) and totally possibly hyperfixate on Malcolm like I sometimes do too because even though there's only like two seasons it's absolutely worth it! 1st Shredder: Oroku Saki He was a warrior in ancient japan but ended up making a deal with a demon that corrupted his mind (he wanted to rule the world. womp womp.) hes known as demon shredder, tengu shredder, the one true shredder--the list goes on. there ends up being a huge fight at the end of s5 where he turns into a dragon, then the turtles turn into dragons, so theres this huge dragon fight and its rlly rlly cool. even tho s5 is one of my least rewatched seasons, i fight tengu shredder very interesting

2nd Shredder: Utrom Shredder (utrom is an alien species) who is called Ch'rell. hes the one we see all the time. the one that never fucking dies. i mean, srsly, he always ends up finding a way to come back. he escaped utrom captivity (hes an intergalactic war criminal) and landed on earth, where he took the name of Oroku Saki. before we know hes an alien (hes piloting a human robot body) we legit see leo cut his head off, then later see him just get up, pick up his head, and walk away. then its revealed next season hes an alien. but when i tell u little me was very surprised he also came back for the movie, turtles forever (it ws a crossover between the 03 and 80's turtles). i havent watched it in forever so i cant remember if he died or not. i hope he did cuz omfg he cannot keep cheating death like that

3rd Shredder: Karai She's his adoptive daughter. shes... kind of a wild card. sometimes she helps the turtles, sometimes she doesnt, sometimes she'll stop her father's plans, sometimes she'll help. most of the time shes on her fathers side tho. but after he dies or is banished or whathaveyou then she takes up the mantel. i love her and i hate her. sometimes i wanna give her a hug and other times i want to wring her neck

5th Shredder: Cyber Shredder ch'rell was smart and put a copy of himself into a protected lil box in cyberspace and regularaly updated it in case anytihng happened to him. so when the turtles come back from the future (thats s6 my beloved. thats a whole other thing) Viral, a sentient virus (also a whole other thing) follows them to the past (she also blasts spinter into tiny cyber bits and they spend the season trying to gather them all up again. ALSO a whole other thing) and goes into cyber space to hide. finds shredders lil box, notices the power of it, and tries to break in. but shredder has firewalls so he kinda just absorbes her. and that activates him. so when the turltes go into cyberspace, they gotta fight him. he also ends up becomes real again during april and caseys wedding (ALSO A WHOLE OTHER THING) (splinter also comes back that epsidoes. surprise u have a body again, now put this suit on we r at a wedding) but they kick his ass and he goes bye bye

Same As It Never Was (this was the best full body pic i could find rip) This is also utrom shredder, but its an alternate universe where donnie left his brothers and uhhh literally everything fell apart. and i mean everything. shredder took over the world, splinter died, casey died, mikey lost an arm, raph lost an eye, and leo lost his vision. this whole episode is SOOO messed up (and i havent even mentioned the amalgamation of hun and bishop being fused together... nightmare fuel). anyway, donnie kills him so its all good. if u count his brother dying before hes able to "all good"

Shredder clones these guys show up for one episode then get destroyed. they also arent technically clones. it was in a synopsis that said they weren't, which makes sense since if they were then they'd be utrom as well. best guess is ch'rell maybe did smth with og shredders dna, or maybe he just had stockman throw dna together until they got smth shredder-esque. either way, they're freaky

and thats all the shredders! anytime i go to explain 2003 to someone and i get on the topic of shredder, i have to go "okay so, this might get a lil confusing-"

By kh3 hes like borderline jaded. certainly existential in ways that remind me a lot of vanitas himself .

On the contrary silvers trend is that hes softening up a lot. hes being given the space and company to process things now. I wish it happened in the games but ill take it. You know i generally don't have too much issue with the theoretical direction idw is taking with silver on a lot of things. i dont like his dialogue and interactions. its extremely off. But i agree its interesting to see him in a context where he doesnt have to worry about his future and yeah i agree he’d loosen up a bit (A LITTLE BIT…. PLEASE I MEANT A LITTLE BIT) and have anxiety attacks sure. Sonic channel my beloved has quite a few stories with him in lower stakes situations and the way hes written there feels a lot truer to him. Its :| autism not uwu autism. Sega of japan thank you so much for being so real please post another silver story ? one where he has to resort to cannibalism in the future i think thatd be funny as fuck. Maybe hire me

silver actually seemingly needs a lot of emotional support to make decisions in difficult situations (like blaze) and while thats thematically similar to ven’s situation, ven doesnt hesitate to do crazy shit if he thinks he needs to . would you say silver is ever reckless. hes def irritable/easily frustrated yeah?

silver doesnt “need” emotional support to do what he does given hes been alone his whole life fighting iblis. Hes very quick on the draw when it comes to action actually. Any hesitation/doubt is after the fact (times he vents to blaze in 06: after fighting iblis in the early game. blaze tells him to calm down after he punches a wall in agitation over the futility of fighting iblis. then after failing to kill sonic and raising an ethical question where blaze tells him hes going to have to kill anyway. Notably conclusions hes already arrived to. Its more that he needs to be redirected before he spirals. Theres similar interactions between silver and espio/blaze in idw). I will stand that silver has something of an emotional dependency on blaze (he literally says he cant go on without her. And blaze describes him as volatile when alone) but its not really to have blaze help him make decisions. Its a matter beyond his fighting. He has moments of doubt but is still described as almost supernaturally optimistic. Its uh also not just blaze things are shaping up between him and espio now (2 purple friend) but i dont like citing idw *continues to cite idw* 

I dont think its through a lack of consideration of the consequences of his actions (hes rather introspective) but rather a failure of his own logic that he does irrational things. He jumps to extremes too quickly and becomes obsessed with them. Yes he is irritable and easily frustrated. He is a little quick to attack people that set him off to a counterproductive extent. Overall yes he has his brand of recklessness

is this like a p5 “fate worse than death-ing our villains so hard that killing them wouldve been kinder” because If you think about it thats a kind of brutality all its own.

Yeah man that was weirdly brutal i wouldve thought it more in his style to straight up kill eggman nega rather than leave him trapped in rubble to die. I dont know if espios presence affected things there. Leaving eggman nega to die is definitely an espio thing its a faux deep lesson he loves that shit. Come to think of it silver didnt even react to eggman negas pleas. espio was like “You reap what you sow…” while Silvers literally goes “Ok. Bye espio.” Hey silvers friends are weird. Also as i said silver isnt one to show remorse to everyone! 

a) i asked this because ven’s stated personal goal is to become a keyblade master. i don’t know that i’d call ven ambitious exactly but the pursuit of power (in order to better serve his masters & the light) is absolutely a major part of his character. however his (relative) “weakness” is a major element of bbs as well. 

silver has no such thing. His grief around the futility of fighting iblis feels more a matter of circumstance and he tends to put much much more of the liability on his current actions rather than his state of being. as a character in the sonic franchise its a somewhat notable thing that never crosses silvers dialogue. Though he is shown to be rather confident in his strength. for good reason

hearing you describe silver’s selflessness and its intensity (like, a pure and genuine love for humanity itself)

Now that i think of it another thing between shadow and silver can be shadows misanthropy and the nature of humanitys relationship to what theyve gone through. We spoke about silver already but shadow explicitly struggles immensely with misanthropy. Shadow has been victimized by humanity, silver has been victimized with humanity. ventus and vanitas? Though “humanity” is a little more charged on the sonic side of things since shadow isnt a human so its kind of racial beef. Anything i say on silver would be purely speculative since he never makes any mention of distinguishing between mobians and humans though the fact hes lonely makes me think community wasnt easy to find in the future. Given hes rather extroverted id fault the people of the future here lol

after hearing all of this do you think we have a case for ventus being canon silver or are we reducing him to uwulver. vanitas shadow is a shoe-in even despite the whole sonic of it all.

We can make it work. I mean their personalities dont have to completely match. We’ve seen a silver with ventus’ personality in the form of uwuver so why not a ventus with silvers personality. But actually i think everyone should be paired up and have a silly time with each other. Silver and shadow are hedgehogs after all they make wonderful pets

1) i mean ultimately all characterizations can be compelling if written with care and thought but it seems like idw silver suffers moreso from the fact that the people writing him dont (or didnt? lol) seem to care much about portraying him as accurate to his origins, and was more worried about the specific archetype they wanted to portray. ultimately silver can soften up and chill out but if theyre portraying him as an entirely different archetype its going to feel wrong

2) hmm i think this is ultimately points in our favor because i think one of ven's main defining character traits is his recklessness. the biggest difference i'd say is that ven (during bbs' campaign) is relatively thoughtless about what hes doing/why/the consequences of it. Theres a reason vanitas is able to string him along so easily. silver by contrast is really introspective, but you're right in pointing out that this introspection always happens after that. and i did conflate his reliance on blaze with his decision making when in reality you're right he doesn't hesitate. this is cool because ven doesn't hesitate either .

3) while ven does his fair share of video game murder i cant say he fate-worse-than-deaths anyone except for arguably vanitas himself but it seems like (assuming vanitas exists in the current timeline because i dont think thats necessarily guaranteed My Tjeories) if he did get vani stuck in sora's heart it was unintentional

4) yeah he owned when we played the game you were freaking owning me

5) this is really interesting and i've been pondering it. i dont actually think vanitas would describe himself as human in any meaningful way (plus its canon to the novel that he doesnt need to eat because He Is Darkness or w/e). would ven? ambiguous. perhaps too ambiguous for kingdom hearts. he does describe himself as having been "sifted apart" in kh3 (referring to vanitas) but he also tries to appeal to vanitas by saying that "they should get to choose". in this scene he halfway implies that he wants to have darkness in his heart (ie to be a normal person) which says to me that he thinks of himself as distinct from "humans" as they exist in kh canon. why else would he say that the way forward for himself & vanitas is for himself to not be "just light" and to say that vanitas shouldn't be "just darkness". i think it would be way more interesting if he didnt consider himself human though so maybe im reaching

they've both definitely been victimized by humans though. vanitas specifically re: xehanort, but i honestly cannot believe i've gotten this far into detailed vv analysis and I haven't mentioned that ventus' dad tries to murder him 3/4's of the way through bbs. (to stop the x-blade from being formed.) vanitas has been psychologically and physically tortured by a human, and ventus has been stifled, sheltered and betrayed by one.

this is an interesting line of thinking bc ven and vani are probably the only kh characters i would describe as being genuinely inhuman. if you take kh's "every heart has both light & darkness" at face value then it really does imply ven and vanitas are a genuine affront to nature born of human cruelty. kinda shadow and silver of them

6) yeah ive actually been thinking about this and i think shadow would find vanitas annoying. ven makes friends with everyone though

i’m just crumbling, i speak for the two sides of me, what is this feeing?

it’s the feeling of continuous uncertainty in life, not knowing wether i’m in the right or not.

what is it to be happy? what is happiness? it’s like happiness is the least containable asset in my life but isn’t life supposed to be full of natural happiness? what happened to the genuine smile i had as a kid, the feeling of excitement at little things like watching cartoons or having your favourite dinner cooked for you. It’s like my light went out a long time ago and I fall into new scenarios every few weeks until I convince myself there is something new I have to overcome.

I feel too much attachment to the past and not enough relation towards the future, neither am I living in the moment. I am nowhere, it feels like people are on my wavelength until I take a step back and realise how truly different I am.

I need relations.

I need love, it’s what I live for.

Feeling like my life is conducted by what satisfies others is not a healthy way to think but for me it isn’t just a way of thinking, what if I have never felt any different? I don’t have the strength to change at this moment, it feels like if I did change I wouldn’t be myself, I was born with this glass over my eyes, the nail through my mind limiting my basic manoeuvres. I feel ungrateful, I know materialistically I am better off than so many people but thats just not enough. I want to feel valid, valid enough to want loyalty and want equally returned love and energy. I’m picky, or do I just have high standards for myself? 

I crave to love.

I want to enjoy and feel.

I would like to believe that I would give so much to feel like my passion or energy that is channeled into feeling a certain way about either someone or something is enough compared to others. How do I know what others are thinking? Do people hate me? “Why does it matter?” I tell myself, because deep down I am fully aware that it does matter to me.

I crave to like someone and not feel like I can’t like that person anymore because they might value others over me, I’m selfish for this, but it’s my mind, I’m this way for a reason.

My life sucks because I deserve it right?

Wrong.

My life could be better because I look at everything in a horrible distorted way. I’m recovering from mental trauma the world has cast on me but I have also cast on myself; friends leaving, family dying, anxiety over small things and also big things, over eating and starving myself, over stimulation, boredom, jealousy, grief, regret, denile, delusion, disappointment. Not to go on with a list as these are not positive adjectives but they make me who I am and i despise that those things portray the me that I know.

I slowly lose interest in the things I used to love, the people I used to love, the smile that I never liked remains a distant friend. I had no role model and still don’t. Who do I trust? Do people trust me?

They lie.

But so do I.

I recently have been more genuine entirely.

This way of life is taking a toll on me and I feel myself never coming back, they fucked me up after I had already been fucked up, I created and am still creating issues for myself because I seek out negativity since it’s what I treat as the most familiar feeling I know, it’s like a brother to me, it’s constantly been lingering with me for as long as I know. What is satisfaction because every situation I am in ends up with me just throwing it away I’m so tired of this I truly feel like my life was wasted on me.

If I was to do it I would just disappear and leave the world, it’s not as if I wouldn’t be hurting people but nobody deserved inside insanity.

I’m sorry, I want to make everything better and do good, for everyone wether you disrespect me or love me (you can do both).

ooooourgh i feel like the walking in the dark thing could also be them both feeling isolated and looked down (maybe unintentionally) by the other guild members on for wanting to interact w each other. the gajeel side of that is obvious, nobody trusts him and they all think he doesnt belong and he cant blame them for that.

but with LEVY i feel like after The Incident she and droy and jet dont really ,, talk about what happened and seeing each other while theyre healing just makes them angry and sad so they distance for a while (maybe 2-3 weeks ? a month ? however long it takes them to physically heal) and then try and gloss over it w maybe the occasional outburst from one of them ((for that goodgood healing-from-trauma story spice)) and when she decides to listen to her heart and maybe give gajeel a second chance shes Scared and Confused and maybe a bit Ashamed, bc why should she even give this asshole the time of day, he tried to kill her family. when she says this team shadowgear gets into a fight. like a screaming sobbing awful terrible fight where jet is mostly just angry, he thinks levy feels she Has to forgive gajeel bc shes gotta be the bigger person and/or that if she Doesnt shes afraid of what gajeel might do in the future. droy is fucking afraid tho, he hasnt really had a proper convo w his 2 best friends in the world for a monTh and then suddenly one of them decides to let the guy who nearly killed them and made it a public spectacle just start ovER ?? what the fuck ! where did his headstrong and reliable levy go and who is this girl in her place ?!? and levY is the most confused of all of them bc shit jet and droy are right ! theyre fucking right !! whY is she sticking her foot back in that beartrap and why does she feel like if she doesnt her world will crumble around her ? (i think she doesnt handle anger very well she doesnt know what to do w all the energy and it just consumes her thoughts and she sits and stews) she Shouldnt forgive gajeel hes a dick and hes proven it and christ if jet and droy are feeling like this then how will the rest of the guild think, she already cant barely stand to be around most of them rn, theyve only looked at her w pity or a wince of pain for an entire month and she feels like she let everyone she knows down

Kaito is a very energetic and fun going lad, he often spends time supporting and trying to get Haru to come out of her shell. “Life’s too short, ya gotta live it too the fullest” is what he would say.

Kaito is another one of my favorite characters to create because, he’s always trying his best to help Haru and his friends shine in his own way. He’s a very extroverted, very supportive and loving boy!

sometimes they pull pranks on the student !!! especially the ones in Kou's class or especially his friends Satou and Yokoo
