omg hi guys i finished this chapter teehee. as much as i hate to say it, this is the last "good" chapter until kent gets back. shit is going to hit the fan and its going to hit HARD. so .. prepare yourselves. enjoy this softer one because ive had this idea since i created danny.

summary: it's been three months since kent's enlistment and he's adjusting to life overseas pretty easily. he recounts his "first day" and then has a heart to heart with a friend to cope with homesickness.

July 19XX, Soldier’s Quarters – Middle Of The War

It had been three months since Kent arrived. He had managed to survive basic training and was appointed to border patrol. However, with Danny pulling some strings, Kent was soon moved onto the survey corps with his two friends - Danny and Lee. Getting used to the rigid structure certainly took some time, but he found his body was adjusting quite nicely. Kent noticed his body began to wake before the 4 a.m. wake up call. He used these 15 or so minutes to relax, simply taking a moment of quiet to himself. Other times, he would spend his spare moments writing down the events that took place and drafting letters to Jodi.

However, he could never forget his first “actual” day: Kent, who had been previously accustomed to waking up at 7 in the morning, was quite surprised when the morning bugle horn sounded at the heinous hour of 4 in the morning. He was even more confused that the general in charge of his cabin referred to it as “‘oh-four hundred hours”. He groggily pushed himself into a sitting position, looking around and noticing several other recruits appearing just as confused as he was. The older soldiers appeared used to it and immediately sprang into action, practically leaping from their bunks and beginning their daily tasks.

“C’mon, Kent,” A familiar voice called from the bunk beneath him. Kent looked around and tried to determine who was speaking. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and allowed them to focus on Lee, who was already grabbing a spare uniform and tossing it in Kent’s direction. “We’re going to be late,” Lee grumbled, jumping as he struggled to get his pants leg over his socked foot.

Kent scooped up the garment and inspected it: it was pretty basic, just a simple drab, olive green uniform. There was a small patch on the side that read ��cadet” followed by a blank space. Kent assumed that his name would likely take that spot once he received his official uniforms. The garment appeared slightly faded and had a musk to it - as if it was either extremely old or had been worn by various people before him. Neither option particularly appealed to Kent.

“Seriously, dude,” Lee called once again, causing Kent to shake out of his stupor and glance over at his friend, “Danny will kill me if we’re late. He hates it when people are late - and I’m always late.”

Now that Lee mentioned it, Kent hadn’t noticed Danny amongst the bustle of people in the cabin. Maybe he got an early start? Kent shook his head once again, clearing the thoughts, before hopping down from his bunk. He glanced around nervously, noticing everyone else seemed to have no qualms about changing in a room full of people. Kent wasn’t exactly self conscious, but he wasn’t exactly eager to strip down in front of strangers, either. He glanced at Lee once again, who was giving him an impatient look, and sighed. He would have to manage. Kent undressed quickly, slipping the uniform on almost as fast, and followed Lee towards the cabin door.

“Where are we even going?” Kent asked, looking around as he followed behind Lee. The two walked away from the cabins, deeper into the woods. There was a small gathering of people - surrounding a stage of sorts - and Kent wondered what was happening.

“Initiation, man. You and the other recruits need to learn how things work,” Lee explained. He continued walking towards the crowd - which was only illuminated by a few torches surrounding the stage. It was still quite dark, the sun just barely beginning to peak out from the horizon.

The two approached a lanky, dark haired figure. Kent squinted as his eyes adjusted to the darkness and soon realized it was Danny. However, Danny seemed to have a small frown spread across his features and his arms crossed over his chest.

“Seriously?” Danny grumbled, glancing at Lee in an accusatory fashion - though Kent noticed there was no malice behind his eyes. He shook his head and let out a small sigh, “Late again. As usual, Lee.”

“Hey!” Lee protested, his own frown forming. He pointed at Kent before adding, “Blame him. Kent’s the one who was starin’ into space for ten minutes..” Lee grumbled more to himself, though he moved and took his spot next to Danny.

Danny rolled his eyes, though the corners of his mouth quirked up - forming into a small smile. “I’m only joking, man,” He spoke, giving Lee a playful punch to the shoulder before adding, “Besides, you’re early - compared to your usual standards, anyway.”

“Dan-nyy,” Lee whined, elongating Danny’s name as his frown deepened. Kent looked between the two, briefly raising his eyebrows as he watched the interaction. He might’ve been imagining it, and it was hard to tell (given the low light of the early morning) but Kent also noticed a light dusting of pink covering Danny’s cheeks and his eyes briefly lingering on Lee as he spoke Danny’s name.

“What do I need to do?” Kent asked, gaining the attention of his friends. He noticed a few folding chairs were spread out across a nearby patch of grass and motioned to them. He turned back to his friends and asked, “Do I need to… sit down or something?”

This caused both his friends to erupt in a fit of laughter, Lee reaching to grab Danny’s shoulder to keep himself from toppling over. Kent’s face contorted in confusion. He raised an eyebrow as he looked at both of them. What was so funny all of a sudden? Did he tell a joke without realizing it?

“What’s so funny?” Kent asked, his confusion growing even further as the laughter continued. He added, “Was it something I said?”

Lee was the first to compose himself - if you could call it that. Truthfully, he could barely manage to speak two words without laughing even harder. He gripped his sides and shook his head. Glancing up at Kent, he finally spoke, “You’re too funny, Kent. That was a great joke.”

Kent quickly found out what was “so funny”. A rush of thirty or forty cadets crammed into the once vast clearing, quickly filling up the space. However, the seats still remained empty as the cadets formed neat lines behind them. Kent glanced over at his friends, though they had already begun walking towards their respective spots. He yelped before quickly following, taking an open spot at the end of the line.

The ceremony was quite boring and tediously long (lasting roughly an hour and thirty minutes). Kent almost dozed off several times and had to pinch himself to stay awake. He was also pretty sure he only retained half of what was being said, but he managed to get through it. After the ceremony, Kent was given some personalized uniforms (thankfully, the borrowed one was starting to itch) and learned his schedule.

He spent his first week flailing and desperately trying to keep up with the harsh training regime, but soon got the hang of it. He even started developing a small amount of muscle (which he was grateful for, as it helped him adjust to the training even better. Kent couldn’t count the times he had groggily walked back to the cabin and promptly passed out - more often using Lee’s bed instead of his own because he was too fatigued to climb the rickety ladder.)

That was back in April. Now, three months later, Kent no longer felt exhausted by the daily tasks and even found himself looking forward to his duties. They seemed to get easier as the days passed and he was thankful to have some structure to his days.

One morning, Kent had woken early - as was becoming his usual - and began writing another letter to Jodi. Being away from her for these months was starting to take a toll on him (and he found some nights he was only able to sleep with her hair tie cradled next to his chest). He missed her deeply. Plus, he was curious how things were back in the city. So, he busied himself by attempting to write his thoughts down. However, he noticed the sound of distant footsteps.

Kent’s curiosity seemed to get the better of him. Who else would be awake at this hour? Usually, it was just Kent and the early morning patrolman - whose footsteps Kent would recognize anywhere. These footsteps seemed different, almost panicked.

Kent placed down his notepad and carefully descended from his top bunk. He glanced around, making sure he hadn’t accidentally woken anyone, before silently creeping down the hallway - following the direction of the footsteps. Kent wasn’t sure what he expected to find, so he prepared for the worst.

Bracing himself, he rounded the corner and entered the cabin’s common area. A look of surprise washed over Kent’s face as he looked at the figure standing in front of him.

“Danny?” He asked, carefully approaching the other person.

“Yoba, you scared me,” Danny replied, grabbing his chest - likely to ease his racing heart.

“What are you doing awake?” Kent asked once again, tilting his head in confusion. “I’m usually the only one up at this time..” He continued, his brows furrowing together.

Danny shrugged, though he looked a bit embarrassed. He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly before speaking, “I usually try to leave early.. It’s.. um… awkward seeing everyone change, you know?”

Kent nodded. He understood that feeling all too well. That was part of the reason he enjoyed the moments before everyone woke up - everything seemed easier to deal with, and it was far less awkward.

“Hey, Kent?” Danny asked, nervously fidgeting with his collar as he waited for a response.

“Yeah? What’s up?” Kent responded. He walked over to Danny’s side of the room and leaned against the arm of a nearby couch, turning to give Danny his full attention.

“You’re from the city, right?” Danny questioned, moving to sit next to Kent on the couch - except on the actual cushion, not the arm.

Kent nodded once again. He wanted to talk to Danny about that, anyway. He knew Danny was from the city (and that he was Jodi’s brother) but couldn’t seem to find the right time or place to bring it up.

“How were things… when you left, I mean,” Danny asked, a small embarrassed look crossing over his face.

“Fine, I guess?” Kent answered, shrugging. There wasn’t much to say: it was pretty much the same as he’s always known it. Kent wasn’t paying much attention to the city itself, anyway. He was too busy being enamored by Jodi. He was curious as to why Danny was bringing this up, so he spoke again, “Why do you ask, anyway?”

“My sister sends me letters sometimes,” Danny explained. He let out a small sigh and spoke sadly, “I miss the city. I miss my family.”

Kent nodded. He understood that, too. The city was the only home he’s ever known. He’s never been away from it for this long, either. His chest felt heavy as a large wave of homesickness washed over him.

“Me too,” Kent confided, a small, sad smile spreading across his lips.

“I feel like I’ve missed so much over the last year,” Danny said, the sadness still present in his voice. He looked at Kent, a regretful look covering his face as he spoke once again, “My little sister got married and I wasn’t there. What kind of brother doesn’t go to his sister’s wedding?”

A guilty look crossed Kent’s face. He glanced down at the hair tie on his wrist before looking back at Danny. He hesitated, wondering if he should really do this, before asking, “Did she say to who? Or tell you his name..?”

Danny shook his head. “No. All she said was that I’d ‘meet him soon’,” He grumbled, a frustrated pout forming over his lips.

After a while, Danny looked back at Kent and his eyes seemed to light up, as if he’d just remembered something and it gave him an idea.

“Kent, you were in the city a few months ago, right?” Danny asked, reaching over to grab Kent’s arm hopefully.

“Yes..” Kent answered. He gulped as he looked at Danny’s hopeful face.

“So, you could tell me who my sister married, right?” Danny piped up. He looked at Kent once again, practically bouncing with hopefulness before adding, “Did you hear anything about weddings before you left? Maybe one including a ‘Jodi Smith’?”

“Danny..” Kent started, pursing his lips together. He looked at Danny’s hopeful face and felt even guiltier. Kent sighed, deciding he didn’t want to lie to Danny - he was his friend, after all, so he nodded.

“Great!” Danny spoke, gripping Kent’s arm even tighter with excitement, “Can you tell me who it was?”

Kent thought for a moment. This was definitely not how he expected his morning to turn out. He hadn’t planned on being interrogated. Plus, Kent didn’t know how Danny would react. Kent’s lips formed a thin line as he continued hesitating. Eventually, he gulped before speaking softly, “It was me.”

“What?”

“It was me, Danny,” Kent confirmed, speaking a bit louder. He reached beneath his shirt, untucking the small chain that held his wedding ring (Kent elected to wear the ring on a necklace rather than his hand to avoid losing it) before holding it up for Danny to see. He spoke once again, “I’m married to your sister.”

“Oh,” Danny spoke, his face remaining expressionless. He looked away from Kent and went silent, immersing himself in his thoughts. After a few minutes of awkward silence between the two, Kent began trying to apologize, but he was quickly cut off.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Danny asked, a small amount of hurt coating his words. He looked back at Kent and his expression seemed to droop.

“I could never find the right time,” Kent admitted. He released a small sigh before placing a gentle hand on Danny’s shoulder, “But I always wanted to tell you. I tried… several times.”

Danny nodded, though he seemed to be mulling over Kent’s words. He looked at Kent, his top lip curving upward in anger. His eyes flashed with a small fire and Kent gulped. He knew Jodi’s brothers were protective of her, but he hoped that it wouldn’t matter - he never imagined he would run into (let alone become friends with) one of them. Kent tensed as he waited Danny’s next words, bracing for the worst. Instead, Danny simply asked.

“Do you love her?”

Kent nodded, reaching up and clasping his fingers around his wedding ring. A small, content smile forming on his lips. He looked back at Danny, nodding once again before saying, “More than anything.”

Danny seemed content with this answer, all his previous anger leaving his body. Kent relaxed, exhaling a breath he didn’t realize he was holding.

“What about you, Danny?” Kent asked, tilting his head to the side as he looked the other up and down, “Have you ever been in love?”

Danny’s face heated up at the question. He sputtered, embarrassed. However, he glanced longingly at the room to his left. Kent smiled to himself before placing a gentle, reassuring pat on the back of Danny’s shoulder.

“You should tell him.”

“What..?” Danny asked, more embarrassment creeping into his features.

“I see how you look at him, you know,” Kent spoke, looking up at his friend once again. He smiled once again, pulling Danny close and playfully ruffling his hair. “It’s the same way I look at my wife, man,” He teased.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about..” Danny denied, gently pushing himself away from Kent’s teasing.

“Come on, Dan,” Kent spoke once again, giving his friend a knowing look. He shook his head lightly, a playful smile crossing his lips as he continued, “You can’t fool me. I know you like him.”

“Fine,” Danny conceded, rolling his eyes and giving Kent a playful shove. His cheeks warmed once again and he smiled to himself before adding, “Maybe I do. But it doesn’t matter, anyway.. Lee isn’t.. He wouldn’t…like me.”

Kent frowned slightly. He moved and placed a reassuring hand on Danny’s shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze. He glanced up at him, a look of determination crossing his features, before speaking, “You’ll never know unless you try, Danny.”

“Besides, you’ll always regret it if you don’t.”

Danny nodded. He thought about Kent’s words, a wide smile forming on his lips. Danny reached over and pulled Kent into a tight, brotherly hug.

“Thanks, Kent. That means a lot,” Danny spoke once he pulled away from the hug, his mood seeming much brighter than before. He thought for a moment more and determination seemed to wash over him. He held a firm fist in front of himself and nodded, “I’ll talk to him later today.”

this is pretty random, but do you have any english book recommendations? any genre really… i want to read more books during the summer and improve my writing, as well as to try and fall in love with reading again! it’s okay if you can’t answer this ask, i just feel like you’d be a good person to go to as your writing is fantastic :)

mystery/thriller genre:

a good girl's guide to murder series by holly jackson!! this is what ive been currently reading and its so so good i swear

the naturals series by jennifer lynn barnes (teenagers with crazy skills and are being trained by the fbi type of shit but this is like a bit gruesome to read so beware + romance as a subplot)

the inheritance games series by jennifer lynn barnes again (romance is also a subplot but its a love triangle and im still stuck on the 3rd book LOL ill pick up on it another day maybe)

historical genre:

lovely war by julie berry (historical romance during ww1 narrated by greek gods)

bridgerton series by julia quinn but julia quinn's writing is kinda boring for me :/ plots n tropes are good though!

these are all i can remember that were really good,, because except for these all ive read are poetry books from lang leav and rupi kaur (i also recommend them if youre interested in poetry by any chance HAHAHAHAHAHA)

this is sooooo embarrassing but I used to write fanfic on this very blog for several boybands in the 2010s lmaooo I will not name names but that's how I started. it is super cringey and insane but I really did love the writing. and then I got into creative writing in high school and well the rest is kind of history.

I love this one omg. so my unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character........im kinda over din djarin and almost every way he is depicted. Mari loves cooking, watching stuff on the holonet, people watching from her balcony and whatever the star wars equivalent of boxing is.

yeah thats what ive been dealing with for like a year now omg bc we first hung out last july and we basically hang out like every 5 MoNthS Lol okay not actually that long but like every 2 months about so yeah we dont even see each other that often?!? so lemme catch up with them and not have to worry about upsetting him and also thats why im even more anxious for when i tell him about the party thats a week after the concert bc it will be sooo soon like soooo soon considering our typical hang out gap and i wouldve brought my other friend but shes going to mexico!! so since they already came with me for her first party it technically does make sense to bring the same person with me and i also wouldnt be able to bring him bc he works every saturday but now hes in the middle of switching jobs so he actually might be free on saturdays soon and idk how soon but then what if he is actually free that saturday but i just decide to not go with him like will that make me an awful gf like idk but at the same time its a late party and ofc there will be drinks and he didnt drink last time when he met my friends for the first time but tbf it was a pretty quiet hangout so i cant rag him on that but say he comes like will he drink with me or be social or get bored or feel out of place. how long would he want to stay till he crashes or feels likes hes not having fun. he will be thinking about the like 20min drive back to his house and also the biggest biggest obstacle i think about is that he will know someone there already bc she was an old fling of his before he met me and she just happens to be my excoworkers gf;-; and she was there at the last party but i was blind, didnt notice, it was dark and i wasnt sober and its not like everyone who was there spoke and saw each other bc there were ofc a lot of diff cliques and we stayed near the same people but like people will walk by or youre chillin in the same area and its inevitable that theyll see each other so yeah thats honestly the main reason why i wouldnt wanna have him there which idk if thats selfish or bad of me bc its not like im scared something will happen ofc like i dont feel threatened by her or think that he’ll be into her now bc its been so long but like idk the thought of it feels weird to me esp since she already hit him up once after their friendship died out and she apologized and asked to get lunch w him and he politely declined and he told me about it after and thats how i know that they have history so its truly a small world where i live bc people got mutuals all over the place but yeah that concludes my insanely long thought and some background info between him and my friend) but i will tell him tomorrow about the concert (girl you better do istg) and tell him about the party a diff day

edit: i just told him and its 11:48pm omg. still made it before midnight

edit: 9.5 / um so obviously i didnt tell him that we went to the party together bc after lots of thinking and speaking to my best friend and dealing with his reaction to the concert, it was better to not tell him. i felt guilty for keeping it a secret but its true that i dont need to tell him every little thing. ofc not when it comes to being unfaithful but innocent things that would be better off not said is OKay. its not right.. but its not hurting anyone. to this day i still believe that hes better off not knowing bc the concert really put him over the edge and we argued so much from it. two of my friends actually did show up to the party as well bc they knew my coworker from hs so i was able to tell him that and i was so glad they showed up so i posted a pic w one of them and obvi posted none with snow. i also told them that he doesnt know were going together & explained why its for the better. last time we hung out was when we went to brooklyn dekalb market with their friend and that still caused some tension ofc..couldve been worse tho! but no actually seeing him after that was a reallyreally weird day filled with not a lot of talking or touching until it was night time and we were forced to speak. in the end he was able to snap us out of it bc the energy was actually. terrible. like awful. i wish i wasnt there. but we ended that night back to our normal selves and since then weve been really good since i havent hung out with snow in a month. ive also had a long talk with his sister and he ofc talks to her as well and she understands how i feel and how its unfair to me so she said she spoke to him and suggested that she hang out with me and snow one day since he clearly didnt want to. oh yeah as of now me and snow need a chaperone🥲chappell roan. the trust he has in us is currently still stuck to the bottom of the ocean and who knows when itll rise

day 4!!

today I thought id talk about by hyperfixations in general like how I feel they work. btw I think I should clarify that I have adhd! anyway typing and telling you this makes me want to read up more on research about how people with adhd hyperfixations work. so this is basically a timeline of that ig? id say ive always been a taylor swift fan for a longgg time like since I was 4. but id say that the hardcore swiftie thing started in April 2021. and ive been this way since then. other than that in june 2022 the måneskin thing started intensely which is of course why I'm here now!! from then on it was and intense thing of MÅNESKIN MÅNESKIN AHHHH -> SABRINA CARPENTER OMFG in July 2022 (shoutout to eics turning one year omg) -> JOSHUA BASSETT OMFG NEW MUSIC OCTOBER WEDNESDAYS THE FANDOM WAS FLOURISHING!! -> and then someday in november, I dont remember the reason why but i was like "I should try checking out that band waterparks that austin mentioned again" so I DID and ohhh boy. I sat down and listened to fandom and entertainment I think? do you ever feel it coming on? like I'll get chills and goosebumps and it takes over my thoughts. so anyway that was one of those moments. like remember that post with awstens name censored? that was the start of this. and ive been this way for months. also theres my hobbie hyperfixations like making jewelery, doing my hair is the latest one (what im doing rn) also if I get into a book enough I can finish it in no time. anyway thats that!! just wanted to write this down!! sorry for typos

ooh! i have a kinda... i mean, decaydance is my spint obviously but i sorta cycle through bands i guess? like... cobra began in late 2020/early 2021, tai during that summer, cobra again, i don't keep that much track of what brainrot i have when but i've gone through gch, p! (be glad you didn't know me in 2018), trs, ths, millionaires, aaand yeah >o> i did realize i also had bandom (like,,,, not just the whole thing but specifically the fandom bits) as a spint during late spring last year and was both reading and writing a lot of fic and um yeah. my spint(s?) is like... it's all tied together but also they're three different interests to me (fob, dcd, bandom) and i can't always lump them together despite regular (and inherent) crossovers

Who was your first real crush?: i had a crush on this boy named Lucas and I think also this guy named Christian?? when i was in like, 1st grade. i moved before i started 2nd grade so i dont really remember them and i didnt know them as i grew up. next real crush was also a guy named christian, after i moved to the city i still live in. i was like, OBSESSED with this dude. we had that little childhood romance where we were 'dating' and would hang out on the playground, and when he suddenly broke up with me i was devastated.

there's more drama with this same dude as we grew up but aaaaaaaaaa we dont gotta go into that

How many piercings?: uhhh 3. both ears pierced once, and i pierced my nose myself. i want more but, yeah, dont have them yet

How many tattoos?: 2. a heart on the back of my right shoulder, got it with my mom. then i have a feather on my right ribcage and MF IT WAS THE WORST PAIN I HAVE EVER FELT. you'd have to get me drunk or numb me up before i get that tattoo colored in or get another tattoo on my ribs.

What makes you angry?: easiest and fastest way to make me angry is to bring up or WORSE, FUCKING PRAISE, the movie Ready Player One. the FUCKING NOVEL IS AMAZING AND THE AUTHOR SOLD HIS FUCKING SOUL FOR A MOVIE DEAL.

Do you like your name?: eh. im used to it. there really isn't any other name that i've ever been like "i want this to be my name", at least not since i was in middle school.

Rating Kirsten’s entire collection

That’s right folks, its time for another rating post! As you all know by now, I’m going in order of the year they take place, so it is Kirsten’s time to shine!

I admit that I’ve been putting this one off because of how absolutely massive her collection is (for the bigger collections it takes me an hour or two to do the whole thing) But i finally decided to do it.

Once again, these are my own opinions. If you don’t agree, thats okay! Please dont leave hate for it.

alright lets get started!

Doll and meet stuff

1: Kirsten and her meet outfit

Doll: 9/10 a bit average looking and blends in to the background when with the rest of the many blonde dolls, BUT she was was the OG blonde and blue eyed doll before any of the others were even a thought, so I stan her anyway

Outfit: 10/10 I love the apron, I love the boots, and I love the braids!

2: Meet accessories

10/10 I am aboslutely in love with the little necklace and the real wooden spoon!

School Collection

1: school dress

10/10 I LOVE the shawl! The dress is so simple but it works so well!!!

2: School lunch

10/10 I had the exact same food for lunch the other day funny enough. I wondered where my brain came up with the idea to put summer sausage, apple, bread, and cheese together, but now I remember. i can confirm it is delicious.

3: slate and school supplies

11/10 very simple, yet cute. extra point because i heard the slate actually works

4: school bench

10/10 idk if this is supposed to be her desk ( i havnt read her books yet) but it is so cute omg

Holiday collection

1: Saint lucia gown

8/10 great way to show the fact she is swedish, and swedish traditions! But there is the fact that it was only the gown, nothing else pictured. The wreath and doll were sold seperatly, making the whole outfit very pricey. You guys already know that i hate when they pull that.

2: st lucia wreath

8/10 like I said above, it should have been sold with the gown. On a related note, idk how the hell people have the guts to walk around with lit candels on thier heads in real life.

3: St lucia tray

10/10 I’ve always wanted to try those types of buns

4: Kirsten’s doll

11/10 Yep, you all have heard this before, but I. love. dolls. for. dolls.

Birthday collection

1: Birthday dress

100/10 .... I am speechless, I am going to have an asthma attack because its beauty is taking my breath away.

2: Friendship quilt

10/10 It reminds me of the quilts my grandma used to make

3: Birthday treats

10/10 omg so pretty

4: pottery

8/10 its cute

5: Trestle table and chairs

8/10 it is a very cute little set, but I like the second version with the flowers painted on it better (original version pictured here)

6: mama cat and kittens

7/10 awww lil baby kitty!! I only put seven out of ten for this one because the first version was very... weird looking and i can see why they changed them (third version pictured here)

Summer collection

1: Summer dress and hat

8/10 Aw I love the hat so much! But, as you all have probaby deduced by my other rating posts, I don’t really like dresses with vertical stripes.

2: Red boots

9/10 they are so, so, cute! But I think they kinda clash with the rest of the outfit

3: Fishing set

10/10 this is the first time ive seen AG make fish so far. I really like the poles too.

4: fouth of july fun

10/10 Love this historical flag, and the honeypots are so adorable!

Winter collection

1: winter skirt and blouse

10/10 I love the floral belt and the matching ribbons, and I think the boots go much better with this outfit.

2: knit wollens

10/10 looks so warm and cozy!

3: winter pastimes

10/10 I like the paper dolls, but I would give this 10/10 just for the snow shoes alone tbh. (EDIT: apparently AG though the same because they eventually retired this set and replaced it with just the snow shoes lmfao)

4: Carpet bag

10/10 I forgot how popular carpet bags were during kirsten’s time, since they have come back in style more than a few times after that. Mary Poppins anyone?

Nighttime collection

1: Nightgown

10/10 I always love a good opportunity to see Kirsten’s hair down

2: Housecoat and sockor

7/10 I’m not really a big fan of this idk why.

3: Bed

7/10 where is her bedding? (EDIT: I just relized you are supposed to use her birthday quilt. They still should have sold them together)

4: Wash stand

10/10 I like the rosemaling

5: Nighttime necessities

10/10 I love the little book!

6: Trunk

6/10 I usually really like trunks but this one is not doing it for me, I just dont like it.

Extra outfits

1: Ice skating outfit

10/10 super cute, but I’ve been skating before and I know homegirl is gonna get hot AF in that.

2: Checked dress and apron

10/10 This outfit is everything to me

3: plaid dress and shawl

10/10 I love the type of ruffly neckline they used (idk what its called) they should have used shawls in her collection alot more.

4: Swedish dirmdl and kerchief

10/10 Great to see them show more traditional swedish dress, and what she would have worn back home before she came to america.

5: work dress

10/10 I adore that peter pan collar! That is an... interesting way to style her hair, but i also kinda like it.

6: Midsommar dress

10/10 another great showing of swedish traditions. I love, love, love the ruffles on the bottom!

7: Baking outfit

8/10 I like it, but listen yall. I KNOW that clogs are traditional in nordic countries, but the pointy shoes with the striped socks make her look like santa’s elf 😭

One more thing i wrap things up, I am super ticked that they didn’t make her dog. I didn’t even know he existed until someone asked about them when I made my pet post. #justice for whatever her dogs name is

Doyoung's first Impression of Tali, was she was really talented. She thought to be around Jungwoo's age or born in 1997-1998 since she was quite mature in a way. As in her body, as many people judge from physical appearance what Doyoung got from Tali was she was teen who is very talented. He didn't think she was 14 years old.

He had heard about her around when she first month she came, how talented she was with her voice, and her visuals aswell. He didn't pay much mind to it at first, but after 3rd month when some of the boys got a chance to see her talent and they were just talking about her non stop. So thats when he got curious but never really found the right moment to talk to her.

Thats when she had some class change ups, and now she attended his vocal class. It was more just a study on how vocals work than actually using them. After awhile Doyoung heard her voice and he was surprised at her vocal range. But what he didn't know that Tali really admired him for his voice and really wanted his tips so one thing came to another and she had the courage to finally talk to him and ask him for some tips.

"What?"

Doyoung asked really astonished.

"Can you help me with my vocals?" Tali said again but now less confident that he will say yes. Doyoung noticed her getting discouraged, he got himself together.

"Yes of course what do you need help with?" He said with a reassuring smile. Tali lit up with relief.

"Ive been having trouble with pronouncing some words, I've been in Korea for a long time...it's just, I don't always speak Korean." She said sheepishly, hinting that she has been speaking more english and other lanuages and getting tongue twisted with some words.

"Ah okay, I understand, here." He sat next to her. Helping her though all the words.

"May I ask why it seems like you can pronounce them just fine?" He questioned as she seems to pronounce the words quite well.

"Ah, you see my last score on my evaluation were lowered because of my pronunciation of some words. I thought it was because I've been speak more English but I think its just my accent."

"Your accent?" He questioned.

"Yeah, uh when I was younger, I lived in Busan which I got a satori accent but I moved to Seoul but I visit Busan very month so I picked up that accent, but I think they want me to change that." She said a little sad since she actually liked having an accent. Doyoung saw her sadness.

"Shh, its fine, they are talking nonsense." He waved it off.

"But I wanna get a higher score not a lower." She slightly pouted. He sighed.

"How about this I help you with your pronunciation with your vocals and we can somehow keep your accent?" He offered.

Tali looked up at him in surprise he would go that far, yes it may not be much, but it take a lot of patience.

"Really?"

"Really." He answered back, she smiled and it was so bright. In that moment he could really see why the male trainees were falling for her. She has visuals, but also this charm to her that would make your heart beat just from her smile.

They continued for a couple hours until Tali was satisfied with her results. She could thank him enough.

"Your welcome, anytime okay? If you need help or anything come to me I don't mind okay?"

"Of course."

"HEY TALI!"

Tali turned around to see Haechan running after her, trying to catch up.

"Hey Haechan, whats up?" She asked wondering why the boy was calling for her.

"Hows practice for evaluations going?" He asked since he saw she was disappointed with her results.

"Its going pretty good actually, Im confident I will get a higher score than last time." She smiled brightly at him. He smiled back happily knowing that she is confident. He wrapped arm around her shoulder.

"Thats good Tali, we are gonna with some other trainees wanna join?" He asked.

"Sure I have time." He smiled at her answer and took her to the practice room where, Mark, Jeno, Taeyong, Johnny, Doyoung, and Ten were.

"Look who I got." Haechan announced as he sat Tali down on the floor now between him and Mark.

"Hi Tali."

"Hi Mark."

"How evaluation practice going, I saw you weren't so happy with your score last time." Johnny asked.

"Ah was it that obvious?" She smiled sheepishly.

"No but you can tell you weren't." Johnny clarified.

"No, yeah practice has been really good, Doyoung-shi helps me a lot thankfully." She smiled at Doyoung who was caught off guard.

"You two know each other?" Ten asked.

"Yeah, she is in the same vocal classes as I am now." Doyoung clarified.

"Thats surprising."

"Why?" Doyoung asked, how is it surprising for her to ask for help.

"Its usually, us walking up to her first." Haechan said eyeing her playfully. That honestly made Doyoung feel special.

"Um, not true." Taeyong cut in quickly.

"What do you mean not true." Doyoung said now glaring at Taeyong for ruining his moment.

"She came up to me first, not Doyoung, I have that spot." He said pointing at himself childishly.

"Well, no one asked you Taeyong." Doyoung said.

"NO ONE ASKED YOU EITHER!" Taeyong now teasing Doyoung.

"WHY YOU-"

Then the bickering commenced between the two.

"Uh anyway Tali I've been meaning to ask you this." Ten said ignoring the other two.

"How old are you?"

Everything stopped Tali looked around surprised on why everyone stopped.

"Thats true how old are you Tali?" Mark asked, he always called her by her name but honestly wondered if she was older than him.

"Aren't you like born in 1998?" Johnny said thinking out loud. Tali smiled and shook her head.

"Actually Im born in 2000." She smiled at them amused on how they thought she was older.

"Wait REALLY?" Jeno said in disbelief. Tali nodded. Haechan grabbed her shoulders and turned her completely around to face him and he put on a serious face.

"Tali."

"Yes?"

"When is your birthday?"

Tali smiled amused again.

"Feburary 7th, sorry Haechanie I'm older." She smiled at his pout, really hoping he could make her call him oppa which was never gonna happen even if she was younger than him.

"Wait so you are tell me you are born in 2000?" Doyoung said in disbelief honestly thinking she was older.

"Yes." She smiled

"OMG YOU ARE OFFICIALLY MY DAUGHTER!" He said now hugging her head but still made sure she was able to breathe.

"NO SHE IS MY DAUGHTER WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOUR DAUGHTER." Taeyong said back grabbing Tali, Doyoung now having a better grip on Tali's body instead of just her head fought back.

Tali looked up at Doyoung and stared him for a bit, she observed him and realized one of her most favorite feature on Kim Doyoung.
