basically what we see in prodigy is the “happy ending” for wes. he obviously wouldn’t have been happy with a future in starfleet, and even if the accident in first duty hadn’t been the catalyst leading him to quit then he would’ve still been miserable. and maybe he could’ve ignored that issue for longer but starfleet was what everyone else wanted for him, not what he actually wanted. and his mom and all his friends are in starfleet so no matter what he did there would’ve been some awkward disconnect there after he left.

and as much as he “deserved” a happy ending of just being some random guy in the federation living and ordinary life that was never really an option. like you take this 15 year old who gets to work on the bridge of starfleet flagship and gets promoted to a full ensign before even going to the academy and THEN being chosen for the special elite flight team when he was only a sophomore. he was never going to live an ordinary life because everyone always told him he was special and better than that. so of course he said yes when the traveler showed up and asked wesley to join him because he was Special and they’ve been watching him since he was a kid (and oh you have to leave your entire life behind but don’t mind that). especially since that offer came at a very emotionally volatile time, since he just quit starfleet. he’s spent his entire life living by the starfleet rules and ideals and suddenly another organization shows up that can offer that same structure to fill the gaping hole in his life. there wasn’t really a choice!

so then there’s 1) already a disconnect since everyone he knows is in starfleet and he’s Not 2) his departure from starfleet was already very upsetting and shameful and he doesn’t want to relive that and 3) as a traveler he’s very far away from everything he knows and he’s not even really a human anymore and he can’t explain the things he’s seen to the people from his old life. it makes sense why he doesn’t go back. and then as the years go by it gets harder and harder to reconnect because you can’t just show up after being a missing person for 10 years and expect everything to go back to normal. i think there’s a lot of guilt wrapped up in this, where he feels really really bad for not visiting his mom and thinks about her constantly but still. doesn’t go back.

BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT POOR ME SOB STORY WESLEY HAS IGNORING HIS MOTHER FOR YEARS IS HORRIBLE. this is NOTTTT me making justifications on how he’s right it’s just my analysis of the situation. wesley was literally the only family bev had left and he just disappeared without a word. i could write another whole 5+ paragraph post about the fucked up dysfunctional crusher dynamics and how neither of them reallyyyy talk to each other but it fucking sucks!!! he should not have done that and it doesn’t matter what his excuse is. what my interpretation of the dynamic boils down to is that wesley is in a rut of self pity where he feels Really Really bad about not visiting his mom and that if he feels guilty enough that makes up for everything. and beverly is doing her best to pretend everything is fine and her son is not a missing person who may or may not be dead Please Don’t Mention Him Okay.

in summary. yes wesley not seeing any of his friends or family sucks but that’s kind of the best ending for him. and i think he does actually care about them but feels too guilty to go back.

In Mcsm Season 1 we can see in the very first episode “The Ocelots”. The Ocelots, as we know, are a group of builders who earned their jackets because they knew how to build (As Lukas states when Axel was trying to kick him out of the tree house). The Ocelots consist of four members: Lukas, Maya, Aiden, and Gill. Lukas is the sole leader of the group. Before the group joined building competitions for Endercon, they were a pretty average group of friends. Lukas and Aiden would typically hang out together around town before Maya and Gill joined in on their group.

They established The Ocelots when they first signed up for Endercon. They all dabbled on the name before going with Ocelots. Lukas made up the name with the help of Maya. Their first few competitions were… rough to put it easy. (They sucked SO bad… partially Gill and Aidens fault) They were uncoordinated, unprepared, and had no idea what to build. This is why Lukas became more of a leader than the others. He would prep beforehand and would constantly get everyone together to plan. He would schedule meetings and as time progressed they eventually could freehand it without any pre-planning.

When The Ocelots won their first competition for Endercon they celebrated and got the jackets they are known for wearing. After that they won almost every time they went. Sure there were some hiccups but they got the hang of it. But with every win Aiden became more aggressive, more arrogant. It made Lukas mildly upset but he thought he would eventually get over it (Obviously not LOL!!!). Lukas tried to calm Aiden down once he started being mean to other competitors but Aiden just brushed him off, not really thinking about it.

When Lukas saw Jesse, Axel, and Olivia later on it reminded him of how they used to be, always stumbling over blocks and arguing (as friends) on what to build. Lukas felt sad and almost jealous about their care-free behavior. Their group had become *very* competitive, and Lukas wasn't having as much fun as he was in the beginning. But at least Maya and Gill seemed to be having fun (Despite a majority of the time they were just bickering). When Lukas caught Aiden bullying the “Order of the Losers” for the first time he got (reasonably) mad at him. Telling him to knock it off and to stop being a jerk and just build. Lukas would continue to tell Aiden off (This is the start of Aiden wanting to ditch Lukas).

As this progresses Lukas starts to drift away from The Ocelots, only ever participating in Endercon competitions. (The start of S1 Ep1) Which Aiden hates and tries to make small talk (“Hey Lukas get a load of these losers!”)

SO when i was thinking abt things i would post abt team epic squad i figured a good place to start would be thru describing some of their personalities! like a lil introduction post yk.....

team epic squad

lumi

circuit: somehow, despite everything that happens in eos's story, circuit remains quite possibly the goofiest guy ever. a guy that can endear even the most hardened of dark future pokemon (dusknoir) they love to crack jokes, and will often jokingly tease their friends too. theyre not incapable of taking things seriously, but because of their tendency to cope with things through humor, it can come across that way. they can be very impulsive, often jumping straight into situations without thinking about the consequences beforehand. they are also very stubborn, even moreso then a certain grass type partner of theirs. they have many hills and they will die on All of them. they're almost always at either 100% or 0%, and there is little to no inbetween. in general, they're always loud and out there, and have no problem with making their presence known. some pokemon tend to be offput by them on first meetings, but they don't let that stop them (mostly). though, despite how open they tend to be emotionally, they don't really have the right words for talking about some of the things that bother them. without a proper outlet for their feelings, circuit mostly just attempts to ignore those thoughts in the hopes they go away. this, unfortunately, does not work. whoopsies! mello: in stark contrast to her partner, mello is very reserved. she's prone to anxiety and overthinking, so she often prefers to do nothing at all instead of messing up like she fears she will. in conversation she's generally pleasant and polite, but she's more relaxed and casual with pokemon she's comfortable with. she's not a natural at picking up on social cues, but has learned how to from repeated practice. she doesn't have a lot of confidence in herself, and has problems saying no to people. in spite of many pokemon's first impressions of circuit, mello always admired how they were able to be so open in a way she couldn't. over the course of eos' story, she slowly starts gaining more confidence in herself. her anxiety never fully goes away, but she learns how to manage it when it does come around. she also starts writing a journal following the events of temporal tower! she finds it's a good way for her to express her feelings in a healthy way. as she gains more confidence in herself, she also becomes more comfortable expressing herself! she gets very passionate about the things she's interested in, and she can spend hours talking about them. she can get very absorbed into her hobbies, to the point where she has trouble pulling herself away from them. all in all shes just trying her best :]

stripe: though stripe has never had much of a pronounced presence within team epic squad, that doesn't make their role any less significant! she's much more of a listener then a talker, and tries to prop up those around her. they can be pretty objective, and most of the advice they give tends to follow suit. they like to be punctual and organized, and can get irritated if things are in disarray. in general, she's always been one to want to slow down and appreciate the lesser noticed things in life.

mana: they take a lot after their parents! they can be like what seems like an endless fountain of energy, always finding something to be excited about. they're very empathetic, and have a strong sense of right and wrong. despite what some may assume of them, they can also be very observant when a situation calls for it. though, another thing mana gets from their parents is an occasional penchant for mischief. sometimes, this includes intentionally risky activities mana does specifically to give circuit and mello a heart attack. mana insists they're able to handle themselves, though!

luna: having been around for over 100 years now, luna has seen many things. but despite her age, conversation is not exactly one of her strong points. she isn't very used to having casual talks with other pokemon, and often comes off as stilted and overly formal as a result. she's polite to a fault, and there's little that can shake her from her cordial front. though, if something were to draw her ire, she can be very.... intense. having spent so long trying to prevent darkrai's world of darkness, luna struggles with knowing what to do now that darkrai is no longer a danger. she feels the need to constantly be doing something to help, even over her own needs. she's uh. she's got a Lot going on i'll tell you that much

lumi: despite being at an age where she's able to speak, lumi often chooses not to. instead she will usually communicate through various emotive sounds, or just by nonsense syllables string together. she has a strong sense of adventure, and is endlessly curious about the world around her. she pretty much needs to be supervised at all times, or else she'll be wandering off by herself to go explore the unknown. she gets nervous whenever a trusted adult isn't nearby, which she does not realize she inadvertently causes by walking off on her own. it can take her a while to warm up to new people, but once she has decided she likes someone she will stick to them like a koala.

tonight was hard

bodywriting is one of those things that im sooo excited about before i start.

invariably though there's one moment that knocks me down and its really really hard to bring myself up again

why do i keep doing it?? i literally have no idea.

if i do another bodywriting task i will be purchasing childrens water-based markers beforehand. i will also be purchasing cheap lipstick because frankly mine is too expensive to use like a crayon, and "wasting it" (i know its not wasting but please understand what i mean) in a scene just burrows guilt in my gut.

i recently discovered micellar water is great for sharpie removal, so i thought id be okay tonight. thought that if that moment happened i could easily take the offending words off.

but tonight when i was done, i was DONE. hard stop. i wanted everything off. it wasnt one thing. it was all of it.

i wanted to be done. wanted to be clean and cozy and out of play. i was done looking at the degrading words. i was done objectifying myself. and the "done" ness came so quickly i got whiplash.

i couldnt move fast enough. despite the micellar water, the markings weren't coming off, and the words i had written started getting to me. id been looking down at my breast so long that when i met my eyes in the mirror and saw "whore" across my cheeks and "dum cunt" across my forehead, i completely broke down.

tonight, i just needed help cleaning myself off. but when no help came (naturally, because all of you are online) i had to be the one to take care of myself. (and that of course makes sense. i know it makes sense. but having to feel it?? the loneliness?? the fact i couldnt get the words off?? the inadequacy laid plain in the "dum cunt" smeared across my forehead??? pull my teeth out one-by-one before you make me go through that again. god it was fucking awful.)

no but seriously, it's one of those ships that are less about their canon interactions and more about the interactions that they DIDN'T have. i get that most people are like "surface level" shippers (not in a bad way, i just dont know what other word to use) because most people ship characters who have better canon interactions and who they can like look at on the screen and be like "hehe they look like theyre dating", but a lot of my personal favorite ships come from character analysis instead of like... their canon relationship/interactions... yk what i mean?

i mean idk what all the other kubosai shippers think, but i personally started shipping them because i really wanted to see more interactions between them and i think if they had been allowed to interact more, they wouldve had a really cool dynamic... they both have dark and traumatic pasts that they arent proud of, but they reacted to that trauma in almost polar opposite ways, and there was something else i said recently about how kuboyasu is one of the few people who can catch saiki off guard (without the germanium ring) which i think is important in saiki ships... yeah idk i just think their relationship would be super interesting... probably part of why they werent allowed to interact more because its a gag manga and it wouldve gotten a little too... emo ☠️☠️☠️☠️

also maybe im just blind to it because im a kubosai shipper, but i dont think its actually that popular LMAO... from what ive seen, there are very few of us, its just that those of us that exist are very VERY loud ☠️

the social dynamics of the league are such a fascinating aspect of canto iv to me i want to study them under a microscope. specifically what the hell was going on between the Main Trio (tm) and young-ji

i saw a post a while back touching on the specific interest/connection young-ji seemingly had with yi sang and dongbaek (specifically asking for yi sang's opinion on the glass window, inviting dongbaek to attend a conference with him, etc.). it's something i think about a lot but recently i've also been thinking about how dongrang might have felt about this as well

like can you imagine being dongrang inviting his childhood friends to be apart of this Really Cool technology hobbyist group only for them to become extremely close with the main guy while you are left constantly doubting the worth of your accomplishments

(also the fact that he feels the need to tack on his contribution to the group's founding here is so... it's so much. i know what you are)

i'm also always thinking about young-ji's lack of communication being the catalyst for a lot of the league's issues. like it clearly was the spark for a lot of the unrest among the league members and i'm just so ?!?!?!!?!?!? about it all the time.

alright i need to ramble abt TUA s4 somewhere that isn't at someone who doesn't care lmao

putting it under a see more bc a lot of it is based on stuff that's been said in the recent cast interviews and could definitely be considered spoilers

tl;dr: a theory post about who, if anyone, i think is going to die this season (and why, ranked by how narratively coherent i think their death would be, and how it would - or wouldn't - round off their character arc)

emphasis on the "i think", as obviously this is my opinion on what i think would make a satisfying narrative

so, in one of the interviews from today, Robert is asked how he feels about the "kind of sacrifice" at the end of the story, and his response is "yeah there's a kind of death that happens" and to then wax philosophical about physical death vs the kind of death that happens when the memory or the person is gone, and how there's a "kind of passing that happens"

and like, most people are convinced that someone's going to die by the end of the season, myself included, but i've just had another idea Robert really talked AROUND the word death, saying "a kind of death" and "a passing", and with him talking about that 'do you die when you physically die or when nobody alive can remember you' style thing, I'm thinking that maybe someone gets themselves erased from the timelines

so they still EXIST, as theyre not physically dead, but because nobody can remember them, it's still a kind of death (exactly like Robert said)

whether or not that person retains their memories is kind of irrelevant, though them keeping them does make for a more tragically satisfying arc - they gave up their existence to keep their family safe/save the world, and yet none of them will ever look at them with recognition or love again, and will never truly know just what they did for them. i think that could be done really well, as there's a special kind of beauty in a character who is happy to accept their own end in order to protect those they love (also, if i wanted to get super analytical of that, i could draw parallels between that idea and the trailer's choice of song - The End; the opening song of The Black Parade album, the funeral song that kicks off the narrative album with themes such as the life that comes after death-)

now, with that said, i want to go off about who my top choices for death/erasure actually are:

well, first i want to say who i don't think it's going to be, and that's Diego and Lila. and that is because they've set up this little family arc for them via Lila's pregnancy, and right from ep1 it was established that Diego was the most attached to Grace - his mother figure - highlighting the importance of the parental figure in his life. both of them have a strong sense of detachment and independence / not needing anyone else, while actually longing to be part of something, to have a family unit. so with the two of them now being married and having a child together, especially given what Ritu said in an article - that "they are not really communicating and are snapping at each other" - it sets up the perfect arc for them to find their place, together, and forging the family dynamic they both so clearly want.

I could talk more about them (i.e, Diego having multiple instances that make reference to his desire to prove himself to his father, vs Lila collapsing post s2 because she just wanted to know if The Handler - if her mother - ever really loved her), but that's not the point of this post

so working backwards from who i think is least likely (and why, obviously):

Viktor:

- originally i had a big question mark over Viktor, bc ive always kind of struggled to pick up the threads of his arc, but even then i still don't think that death/sacrifice would be narratively satisfying for him? is it possible that he sacrifices himself to save his family? i mean… i guess? he's always been more passive and less confrontational than the others, so even if the opportunity presented itself i feel like someone else would probably beat him to the punch

- BUT, that's still not actually the reason i think it won't be him - it's because i think a more satisfying ending for him would be for him to have everything he was denied in childhood. with him coming out, they've set themselves up really nicely to push an ending for Viktor that has him finding himself, understanding himself, and finally being happy with himself. whether he ends up keeping and accepting his powers or not makes no odds as long as HE makes that choice for himself! let him be surrounded by family/people who love him for who he is, let him choose to live for himself and be happy!

Allison:

- i have a similar problem with Allison that i have with Viktor, in that i don't really know where her arc is going, at least as far as the Hargreeves are concerned. Allison's been pretty clear that her priority is her daughter, getting back to her daughter, protecting her daughter. and now she has her back. and she even has Ray back!

- i've never reeeeally been a fan of redemption through death (though there are exceptions), so the thought of her being the one to die/sacrifice herself to save the rest of the Hargreeves just… doesn't sit right with me. particularly because i'm also fairly sure i read somewhere that Emmy said that Allison is kind of "done" with the Umbrella Academy family stuff, and that she's all about being a mother again, which brings me to my next point;

- Allison dying would actually have more of an emotional impact on Claire and Ray than it would to any of the Umbrellas. and, as nice as Ray is and I'm sure Claire will be, they are not the major characters in this show. they are not the ones we have spent three seasons connecting and sympathizing with. would her death still have impact? of course! but i think that there's too much to resolve (such as the events of s3, the fact that she already feels done with them all) to make her death be tragic and satisfying, and to still wrap up everyone else's arcs and the story as a whole

- her finding a way to accept and love her Umbrella family instead of constantly trying to distance herself from them, and learning to balance the family of herself, Ray, and Claire, with her family within the Umbrellas feels like it would be more satisfying for her than sacrificing herself to save the Umbrellas / the world

- could she still end up sacrificing herself to save Ray/Claire, and that in turn leads to someone else dying? yes, absolutely! or something happens to Claire and she no longers cares about living because she can't lose her daughter again? also yes, but that feels a bit... too dark, even for tua

Klaus:

- i feel a little controversial, putting him so far down the list (he's still placed fourth out of eight, though), but the thing is - with his powers back, he is functionally immortal. at that point, the only way he's dying is if he chooses to die. which could still lead to a satisfying end!! the boy who was scared of the ghosts he saw, who became scared of dying, becoming the man who chooses to die? very tasty potential, there. contrasts very nicely with the fact that he kept bringing himself back to life without even realising

- buuuut, that would conflict with what we've heard so far about Klaus's storyline this season; Klaus becoming a scared-of-everything germaphobe, having to learn "how not to be scared of life", falling back into addiction, and learning new aspects of his powers. i don't really see how all of that would lean into a storyline of him accepting death, ya know? it's a lot to do, with not a lot of time to do it well

- i will say, though, that i do love the idea of him somehow finding Dave in the afterlife, and that being part of helping him to accept death - that he can be reunited with the love of his life (this falls apart, however, when you realise that Dave's actor isn't currently credited for any episodes on imdb. still doesn't mean that he won't be, but... makes it less likely)

Luther:

- i genuinely debated with myself about who gets third slot between Luther and Five, but ultimately decided on Luther (which i'll further explain during Five's section)

- Luther literally has no purpose outside of the Umbrella Academy. in s1, he was defined by his being the only 'true' remaining member of the Academy, and having been sent to the moon for a seemingly pointless mission (and even though we now know that he was sent there to protect Abigail - she's alive now, so that doesn't really need revisting). s2 also had him at a loose end - he was fighting simply because that's all he thought he was good at, he tried to give his relationship with Allison another go once he realised she was alive, only for it to turn out that she's married, and then he was a (frankly, terrible) spotter for Five during the paradox psychosis fiasco. s3 literally had him get kidnapped by the Sparrows without anyone really noticing, and although he did eventual fall in love and gett married to Sloane, she vanished with the resetting of the universe. Sloane, incidentally, also doesn't have her actor listed on imdb as returning for s4

- he doesn't really have a multi-season arc to finish off; in fact, the only consistent facet of his personality is his desire to protect his family and 'do the right thing', whatever that might be

- i feel like for him, a good arc to send him on would be him becoming comfortable in his gorilla-body and maturing into the confident leader that would be expected of a "Number One". but, given the way his character has evolved (or devolved) through the series so far, i don't really see them doing that

- in fact, i think it's much more likely that they kill him simply because they don't know what else to do with him. which, ya know, kind of sucks

- HOWEVER, i do think there is good potential in having the first major leader-like decision that Luther makes - free from the influence of others - being to sacrifice himself to save his family. the one time he stands up and says "no, i've made my decision, and it's time for you all to respect that" while also tying it back to his overwhelming desire to love and protect his family? oh yeah, that'd be some good shit right there

Five:

- my god please just let the old man rest

- so, i think Five is less likely to flat out die than Luther is, but i do think some kind of timeline fuckery is much more likely where Five is concerned

- considering what Adian has already said about Five's arc this season

- "He doesn’t know what his place is in the universe. When he goes on this emotional arc with Lila, for the first time, he feels there is a reason for living." - i honestly think killing him would be an incredibly shitty thing to do. having him finally, finally, find his place in the universe, after getting stuck in the apocalypse at THIRTEEN, where he finds his entire family dead, proceeds to then spend 40 years alone, trying to get back to his family, before being picked up by the Temps, turned into a killer, finally getting back to his family, only to end up stuck back in his teenage body AND having to deal with three weeks of constant apocalypses, to then kill him???? jesus christ that would SUCK. like, i'm aware i have bias because Five is one of my favourites and i think his arc has some insane narrative potential, but i cannot be the only one thinking that if they kill him after all of that it's just going to leave a bitter taste?

- THAT SAID!! that said, i do think that it's likely that he would be the one that ends up getting erased from various timelines in order to save his family

- his whole thing has been about getting back to his family to save them from the apocalypse - to have him find his ultimate purpose being to do exactly that? it makes sense!

- in erasing himself from this timeline in order to save it, his purpose also then becomes founding the Temps Commission, with the intention of preserving the new main timeline that he literally 'died' to create and protect (and considering that they technically exist outside of the timeline, who is to say this isn't all part of Commission Founder Five's master plan anyway? hell, given that the Commission resides in the year 1955, he can go play guitar with Marty McFly and bitch about the perils of time travel while he's there)

- it would also solve the awkward elephant in the room; the fact that as of s4 he looks 18 but is actually in his 60s. he can erase himself from the main timeline, putting himself back into his old man body, and retire in peace knowing he's successfully saved his family and given them a future by also saving the world

- it's so deliciously tragic

Ben:

- oh god okay here we go

- i adore Ben and don't really want him to die, but i'd be lying if i said that his death wouldn't be incredibly satisfying, in the way only a true tragedy can be

- we all know this season is going to be focused on him and how he is going to be the one to cause the apocalypse this time, so it ending with him would make sense

- Blackman (the showrunner) has also said that he "wanted to come full circle with the family relationship". what is the FIRST thing we know about Ben? he's dead

- for the first two seasons, he haunts the narrative in a literal sense by being a ghost that only Klaus can see and so still sort of interacting with things, but considering we don't yet know what the Jennifer Incident is and how it actually affected the Umbrellas moving forwards, it could turn out that he has also been actually haunting the narrative - he's dead but so much has been driven by the nature of his death

- i also just really love the idea that the first thing we learn about Ben is that he's dead, and that also ends up being the last thing we learn about him

- taking it a step further, given that the Ben in the recap was definitely Sparrow Ben, it would be disgustingly, delightfully tragic for the final fate of Sparrow Ben to be the same as that of Umbrella Ben - that nothing any of them did actually mattered, because in the end, Ben was always going to die (can you tell i like a good tragedy)

- also, going far too deep into it (to the point that this isn't so much evidence that Ben is the most likely to die, but just a nice little tie in), parts of Ben's arc very much tie into the narrative of The Black Parade. you know, the MCR album that the song they used in the official trailer came from. The Black Parade, as an album, opens with a funeral song (just like the show opened with a funeral) and then continues to go over The Patient's life after death, the experiences from the afterlife, and even reflecting back on his life. quite fitting for Ben, in a way

- ANYWAY! Sparrow Ben also spent a good chunk of his time in s3 desperately wanting to be part of the Umbrellas, but having no idea how to go about it. the thought of him sharing the fate of Umbrella Ben and therefore becoming just like him, becoming Umbrella Ben? poetic

- there is also my sort-of half-theory, that the reason Ben is being overloaded with the Marigold is that he's actually somehow channeling both versions of Ben, so has twice the amount he should have, thereby destabilising him in some way, and one of the Bens needs to die. but, that doesn't really tie into Jennifer in any way, because that wouldn't have happened in the original/main timeline

- Ben is also the only character to have actually existed as multiple versions of himself in the two timelines - again, it is a perfect tragedy for him to die in both of them. maybe this time they save him from the Jennifer Incident, only for him to choose to sacrifice himself to save them all. ergo, it didn't matter, it didn't matter, he was always going to die

- i really like a well executed tragedy, okay? i also feel like it's one of the few satisfying ways to successfully kill off a character. still hurts like a bitch, but at least it was worth something

Backgrounds

I have recently changed my tune about backgrounds. If you would like a background, let me know and i will tell you if i think im up to it. Complex backgrounds are a fee of +%50 as they take a lot of time. If you have multiple characters, the background price is calculated AFTER the price of the additional characters. It is up to me to decide what a complex background is.

Simple/abstract backgrounds remain free of charge. If i think a work would benefit from it, i will put a solid or swirly colored shape behind it and send you a version with and without the background so you can decide which you like better. You may request a basic background on your own.

I retain the right to post your completed piece to any of my social medias to use as an example of my work and a testament to my reliability. I will credit you when I do.

All payments are non-refundable unless for some reason i am unable to finish your piece, or we get part way through the process and i feel that i am unable to do your character(s) justice.

Post your completed piece wherever you please WITH appropriate credit by either linking my page or simply stating my name and platform.

edit my art in regards to cropping for profile pictures, adding an overlay to fit a theme, and resizing to fit a platform better

What is the process?

It's pretty simple! Send me a dm with a photo of your character(s) and tell me what you'd like. Let me know if you need a few days to get the money, or if there's a time constraint (like if the piece is a birthday or holiday gift). If you don't have an idea for a pose, please include a brief description of their personality. If there's characters interacting, let me know their relationship to one another and their dynamic.

I will respond with a price and if you're ok with proceeding I will mock up a vague sketch so you can get an idea of what it would look like. This will be watermarked and it will not even be very recognizable as your character. That's because I have been scammed and ghosted in the past, even with a very rough and watermarked sketch.

After that you will send 100% of the payment in order for me to proceed. Do not send payment via friends and family. I don't want to be banned from paypal lol

I work on a first come first serve basis, but i may work on a piece while waiting for approval on another. I will let you know if there is someone ahead of you. Once payment is received i will message you frequently with updates and for approval. Once lineart is finalized, i will update less often in order to creater a better final reveal. Your final piece will already be glazed to fight against ai stealing my style.

Depending on my life circumstances, this whole process could take from 1-3 days up to a month. The later is very unlikely, and i will message you with updates if i feel i am taking too long.

hi! yeah! i definitely have some recs, although they’ll all be books i’ve talked about on here before so they probably won’t be very new for anyone who’s been following me for a while 😭 not sure what you’re after specifically but this is just everything i’ve enjoyed! anything with as asterisk is a special favourite : ^ )

books ive read this year:

(fiction)

boulder* - eva baltasar: very short read but baltasar’s prose is 2 die for! second in a trilogy but im pretty sure they can all be read as standalones. also nice to see fiction that treats lesbians as seriously as piles and piles of arty litfic treat gay men rather than the clipart cover of two women with a title like ‘Jemima Mulligan Is So Done 🤣’ that comes up when you search lesbian fiction now.

all quiet on the western front* (+ the way back/the road back) - erich maria remarque: only classic im going to mention (i could talk about james baldwin all day) but this is my favourite book i’ve read this year! and my only five star fiction read so far this year. absolutely heartbreaking!! and if you enjoy it i would say it’s worth reading the sequel, the way back.

hangman - maya binyam: read this recently and honestly think it’s quite a marmite book i think you’ll either enjoy the absurdity of it or find it deeply irritating almost straight away but. i thought it was wonderfully disorientating + not too long that the style started to grate on me + an great postcolonial work

we need to talk about kevin* - lionel shriver: such a terrifyingly good book omg. prose is a bit dense which at least i found a bit daunting at first but it’s soo intricate and absorbing and horrific.

penance* (+ boy parts) - eliza clark: was honestly a bit surprised to like this as much as i did my expectations were pretty low but i thought it was a genuinely excellent depiction of modern teenagers + the way they use social media (i have never seen it done so well) + the intricacies of the dynamics between young girls against the backdrop of ‘true’ crime. if you like it you’ll probably also enjoy boy parts so i recommend that too!

antarctica + walk the blue fields - claire keegan: keegan is imo one of the best storytellers writing today and these two short story collections by her were wonderful this year! my favourite of her work is foster but since there are multiple stories in these collections id say they’re the best place to start!

my work - olga ravn: quite experimental in terms of style there’s a lot of prose spliced with prose which i wasn’t sure would be for me (im an idiot) but i thought it was a really fascinating look at motherhood + creation + post-partum depression!

dont actually have a ton of non-fiction books 2 mention just adding this category in to recommend empire of pain* - patrick radden keefe as a book i finished recently and one of if not the best non-fiction book ive ever read. just so incredibly interesting i can’t stress enough
