Accessible polling stations

Language and sign language interpretation (available upon request in advance)

Assistance marking your ballot

Large-grip pencil

Bigger ballot with candidate names in large print

Voting screens that let in plenty of light

Lighted magnifiers that make the ballot look 4x bigger

Braille lists of candidates on election day, and

Tactile and Braille templates that fit on top of a ballot

This is something that's been in my head for days. . If you don't understand why we're all so afraid of a conservative government, please educate yourself. This is so terrifying to so many people. . The Canadian polls this year were an all time low, at 65%. I'm so SO upset by this number. This was the first year we could have made a real difference. . If you can be satisfied, sitting back and being complacent about what's happening in our government, then you really need to take a step back and realize that you come from a place of priviledge. . If you can say to yourself "they all suck so it doesn't matter", you're effectively telling the 100s of thousands if people that it DOES affect, that you don't give a shit about them. Politics fucking suck, but there is ALWAYS one party that's worse. As canadians, we're lucky to have more than two choices. . I am one of those people that this election has almost no direct effect on. I understand that as a white femme, I'm a lot safer than my darker skinned siblings. It's my responsibility to use my safety to try to protect and help those who don't have it. . I straight up don't fucking understand why this is a radical concept??? . I have FIVE. JOBS. Your wallet is NEVER more important than someone's safety, or their basic human rights. .
