pitchfork’s best 100 songs of 2022 list is out and like...it’s weird that theyre only mentioning the ethnicity of the nonwhite artists on the list right? it’s weird that Ibibio Sound Machine has the frontwoman specifically stated as ‘british-nigerian’ but no word about like julia jacklin being australian or whatever. is this just me reading into things too much or is this actually weird?

I just don't think it's fair for other fans of the series to act like Zutara shippers are insane for shipping those two when there were so many conventionally romantic tropes written into their dynamic that I was more surprised that they didn't end up together by the end. Like, even if you don't ship them, you have to admit that if it was any other pair of characters, "I waited out here all night for you" and *dramatically jumps into harm's way to save her* is the stuff of fairytale romances, right?
