Sometimes I think I desperately want a star trek show or movie or something that revisits ds9 and what they're doing now....and then I think about how none of the new shows can seem to quite capture the....the vibes. The atmosphere (the film cameras and lack of advanced technology tbh) of the older shows and I just sigh and realize I don't actually want anything about ds9

#star trek #ds9 #not saying the newer shows are bad #i cant really say that because like....#i have only watched picard #but #theyre all too #shiny #too digital #too bright #i miss the days when star trek was donw with a film canera #and when we didnt know what technology would advance to so we had this cute little gadget designs #instead of having #projected screens and smart phones and devices tou can see straight through #i want phasers you have to flip to open thats a big bulky thing #i want the cheesey effects of people being transported #i want costumes with beautiful attention to detail but also the ugliest of fabrics that somehow make them perfect #i want starships with carpets #i just dont vibe with the new show designs and stuff #and like i get it #its set in the future #advanced technology and all that jazz #but i casually miss the atmosphere and vibes that were the shows before the 2000s

The Samsung does NOT have a round fingerprint scanner

But in all honesty, I couldn't identify a phone if it had a fuckin model number on it

I'll be totally honest here... I did notice the shape was different from the start. I was being lazy and thought, "oh its just the angle.... the edit I did over the original could've compressed the pixels to make it look round.... yeah no need to dig any further" <- Thats the devil talking.

It kills me to read the notes on the og post cause everyone thinks I didn't notice the fingerprint scanner when the truth is much more embarrassing: I ignored it cause I'm what you might call... stupid

#but to the ppl who say i shouldve noticed cause it doesnt say samsung on the back: WRONG #backglass is easy to break and most replacements dont have a logo on the back so its not a reliable feature for ID #also i wanted to complete the ID during my lunch break so i kinda rushed lmao #i thought about including the scanner discrepancy in the post but it was too bulky #and i genuinely did not notice the color gradient i thought it was the holo color shift of the a30 #but anyway. excuses excuses!#i dont want to overexplain for fear of looking petty especially when getting it wrong was way funnier than being right lmao #not ID #ask

Can't believe I've been watching JJK for around two months and I'm still in episode 14 of the first season

#Watching things is so draining to me #I'm so slow #I wish the exchange had been not about watching the anime but reading the manga instead #The anime *is* pleasant. I love some scenes aesthetically and I like its take on the character designs a lot at times #I like how Gojo is slender and kinda lanky more than bulky and I love how Sukuna moves #and how the teens are even more clearly teens than in the manga #But I'm pretty sure I would have finished the manga by now had I read that first #And I could have spent these two months either forgetting about it or overanalising in a fun way #Perhaps enjoying a bit the last moments of following the running series #Instead here I am. Stuck. Because I suck at watching things #It's way easier to go back and forth while reading stuff compared to doing the same while watching things #And I do like going back and forth and compare and pick at the details and wonder about things #Also yes. The. Doubt. Over this actually being worth the emotional turmoil haha it's breaking my ribs #Anyway! I haven't met her yet but... petite knit makes some very good and clean looking patterns and her works always have lovely drape and fabric but without fail the patterns are always yarn held together lace/fingering. and i see why she does it and it looks very good. but is she allergic to just using one type of yarn at once

#ive never held multiple yarns at once (like. outside of colourwork) and i dont think its HARD #its just like. well what if i didnt wanna #also thats like. twice the yarn i have to buy #i love the look and construction of her pieces but i always have to ignore them when they show up in my feed cause i am not doing all that #heres a post for all the bad bitches of ravelry/fibre arts instagram. u guys know who im talking about right #also my favourite things does this too. same issue great simple patterns but always held together. whats with these danish ladies #technically u could just use aran or bulky or whatever the two yarns together add up to in weight #but i fear it wouldnt look as good. i dont know i would have to check the projects page to see what others have done #also im personally a big fan of taking regular patterns and putting colourwork on top of them #and i think doing yarn held together in colour sounds like some sort of greek tragedy hell
