It's actually in Hanamogera, which to put it simply is nonsense speech based on japanese syllables. So the song's lyrics are essentially gibberish meant to imitate the sound of latin music! 😊

It is listed as such in the source site for the song, oo39.com, where the song can be found as "YS068" in the hanamogera category.

Additional fun fact! The song can also be found in Spotify as Vien Nana by Oo39.com themselves alongside a few other select songs from the site. So you can properly enjoy the song on the platform without having to import it from your local files.

BTW I genuinely love that night in the woods does not, in the end, tell you if it was all real or not. It does not even explain whether the goat was real. It gives you mundane explanations - mae's mental health history, gas leaks, the strikes and structural instability in the mines - but also it's juuust legitimately supernatural enough that you end the game going... well. was that all imagined? how much of that was legitimate? the cultists all talk about getting abilities from the pit, and mae's friends are there and are confirming this is actually happening, and I think that was the first time in the game I actually approached the idea that there really was something else going on and it wasn't all just things we the player are experiencing because we're getting it from mae's perspective and mae is a truly intense unreliable narrator.

But: how much does it matter if there's actually an eldritch goat god underneath possum springs, or if it was all just a delusion on mae's behalf, or if it's a gas leak? that isn't the point. that was never the point.

So, I got a habit of just enjoying fanmade content about something before I go find the source. Kinda like testing the waters before diving in. And I FINALLY got around to watching the pilot episode of the Amazing Digital Circus and I spent the whole time waiting for Able to pop out.

I was literally looking in the backgrounds as maybe he was more of a work behind-the-scene guy or maybe a cool easter egg you picked up and ran away with. There was the queen chess piece and the moon and the blank mannequins, so I had my eyes peeled for that deck of cards. There was so much packed in that episode that I watched it twice. in my head these r what miyazaki ghibli pairings map onto what motogp ships:

-rosquez are obviously howl and sophie, which i go more into depth into here. its also important that sophie and howl get into the fight about howl's hair, because sophie ultimately does go back, puts on her business face etc. i think the timeline would work out like, they get into that big argument whatever its about but marc goes back, vale tries to make up for it with the ring and beautifying marc's clothes and eventually the house in the mountains but during that time its like their relationship is completely frozen even though they're living in the same house...marc considers moving out to live with alex etc. just becomes older with his withdrawal because of the curse. And then vale moves the castle to marc's old home. sophie is also like very much obligated to her family as the oldest daughter (which is why she stays in the hat shop) which is very marc! he wants to make his people happy...Also don't tell me fuck ass bob vale DOESN'T scream young howl to you. say it to my face. u can't.

-enea/casey are san and ashitaka from princess mononoke. just imagine the "im going to cut ur throat/ur beautiful" scene with them...i dont think casey necessarily gets cured from the illness that he gets from the corrupted forest god it just becomes part of him, so its no longer killing him after the forest god's head is returned but still ails him. hes from a super far secret civilization and cant go back after being banished (kind of like how u can't fade into obscurity after rising to fame). rides an antelope looking thing and is so so noble. enea is feral and living with the wolves. hates humans. but when this stranger comes and gets shot in his name he can't help but feel something other than that hatred he has felt all of his life. chews casey's food for him and delivers it mouth to mouth when he's too weak to eat...the same mouth that spat out the poisoned blood around the mother wolf's bullet wound. etc.

-cele/bezz r sosuke and ponyo, but they also have the potential to be kiki(bezz) and tombo(cele) and sheeta(cele) and pazu(bezz)...to me cele is sosuke, the weird kid who lives in the house on a hill (alone), signals ships at night just to talk to somebody and flies maritime flags. likes to fix stuff, has a tiny little dinky car. works as a daycare science teacher taking the kids on trips to catch bugs and frogs but also helps out at the nursing home next door, fixing the wheelchairs of the residents and like taking them out for fresh air while the kids tag along. thats summer though and in the winter he helps out at the dock and on fishing boats. he would love you if you were a worm, in short. bezz's misadventures get him stuck in a jar (he could cry he's so embarrassed) but cele finds him when testing his newest like little motorized toy boat prototype he wants to show the kids and bezz IMMEDIATELY falls in love, it's crazy. you bet he licked the blood off of cele's gashed finger just like that. is absolutely INDULGING in the attention he gets when cele brings him in for Show And Tell/Storytime and explains in his pondering voice how he found bezz. gets sloshed on that forbidden magic juice right after getting plopped back home and runs on giant fucking waves as cele commutes home to impress him. all cele feels is like, mild concern like damn do i have to detour home? i would have known if there was some major meteorological event coming my way. when the curly haired stranger with an earnest smile shows up at his home and engulfs him in a hug, he meets it with the same bewilderment but because bezz feels familiar. consequentially is not very impressed or surprised about bezz being a fish loool. i was just picturing the thumbnail of this video the entire time i wrote this and that's literally their whole vibe. that's bezz in cele's tub right there. this post is getting away from me more than it already is so ill like do a quick preface of the other premises...bezz is a witch and his familiar is rubik...flies away to a big city and meets cele with his homemade flying contraptions...gets tattoed for the first time by some random artist in the woods...becomes depressed...can't fly anymore...cele is the last member of a royal family and falls from the sky after being held on an airship, with bezz as the one to catch him...bezz has always wanted adventure because his father was one of the few people to have ever seen the fabled castle in the sky...wants to take his chances with cele...cele's billowing curls and tragic eyes...all bezz wants to do is make him happy...all cele wants is to go home.

-luca/pecco as haku and chihiro from spirited away. their whole vibe is childhood friends that grew apart and then rekindled imo. when they meet in the spirit world luca introduces himself as maro and to pecco he seems familiar; you how it was on a playground when you were young and you knew everything about someone except for their name? so maro it is, and he takes pecco's hand when he cries about his roommates (pecco's in college and ended up in an abandoned places exploration group with them) being turned into pigs and is panicking about not being able to go home and is generally a mess and tells him to get up from where he's been curled up into a ball and run with him to the bathhouse where he gets a job and becomes just pecco, no francesco because his name gets taken away. life is pretty tough for pecco at first and he's very lonely while luca is away doing missions for the boss, which is most of the time. hes also very insecure and fears luca leaving him because he's not good enough. but he puts his head down and slowly earns respect from his peers. starts standing up for himself and becoming more confident, and eventually has his standout moment for completely cleansing a polluted spirit. luca (a river spirit) fell in love with pecco when he fell into him and wasn't able to swim. even though that was very much an embarrassing moment what made it worse were pecco's flailing attempts to keep his head above water, but that was what endeared him to luca. it was his stupidly stubborn will to keep his nose to the grindstone even when it filled his mouth with water and got him nowhere. that is how a river thinks, and luca could never forget pecco's lanky straggling form as he struggled up the banks of the river, wretched and alive but triumphant for doing so.

hi, I have a question 'cause I saw it in your tags about the "Persephone lied" post you reblogged.

You mentioned how the tale symbolizes arranged marriages and the separation mother/daughter had to go through.

The more I thought about it the more it makes sense 'cause I’ve heard this is how mothers reacted to marriage in the Ancient World,' cause they would lose their own daughters, with little hope of seeing them again, so that death and marraige seem like almost the same thing from the mother’s perspective. (not to mention Zeus agreed to let Hades to his thing and only "warned" him about Demeter’s reaction. <-I think that can be interpretated as two men agreeing on a marriage without the consent of the mother or the daughter).

On the other hand, I used to think the myth was only relevant to the lives of the worshippers due to Demeter’s grief; it explained the seasons, and it also explained the need for agriculture, which Demeter then taught to mortals to help them survive her periods of sorrow.

Then again I’ve seen ppl theorizing Persephone’s disappearance to be a metaphor for death, (Y'know, how it snatches people away suddenly and leaves grief in its wake) but I think that's a stretch.

Anyways, is there an actual answer or is the myth up to the interpretation when it comes to what it symbolizes/stands for?

Hello! Just a small disclaimer: When dealing with a foreign religious tale it doesn't make sense to project our own experiences there since the locals have certain things in place to symbolise specific meanings, and express a certain message. So really, what one "thinks" of the myth is irrelevant. I mean, sure we can all think stuff, don't get me wrong! But I mean, we cannot just base our thoughts on vibes. We should look at the history and tradition of that country first. I'm happy to see people reading examinations of myths more carefully 😄

For example, arranged marriages in Greece were a regular phenomenon 3-4 generations back, and even today that they are not, we still have mournful songs for when her mother grieves losing her daughter in marriage. Our two most famous traditional songs speak of that. One is so bleak that it's downright depressing for a marriage ("Σήμερα μαύρος ουρανός, σήμερα μαύρη μέρα"). @wordsmithic has an extensive video series about the relationship of marriage and death in Greek folklore through the ages. I suggest this for starters (But better see the whole series if you can! It's short!):

Greeks see the tale of Persephone as an explanation for why winter exists, and we also recognise the parallels between Demeter and Persephone's situation with what our mothers and daughters have been going through for thousands of years. The abduction of Persephone is also part of a long-lasting motif of the Greek "Death and the Maiden" stories, so it wouldn't be a stretch to consider it in the broader imagery of "a Death force taking a young woman".

The abduction of Persephone wasn't a story that people related to death and death rituals, so it's probably not a metaphor in the sense you mean, but the story kinda connects death and marriage, again, by being a part of a bigger cultural viewpoint. In Greek tradition since antiquity, young unmarried people (usually teens, not kids) are buried with their (woud be) wedding clothes and sometimes their graves had/have wedding symbols and offerings. Today this is done to give "happiness" to the dead and simulate the marriage rite they never got to have. Also some consider these dead "marry Christ". Before Christianity there was also a motif the dead young women marrying Death (?) but I can't find the info now. I distinctly remember reading many posts about it with sources but I am very sorry I can't procure them now. As soon as I find it, I'll add it here! But you can consider Antigone, how she describes her tomb as a wedding bed, for starters.

Another video of @wordsmithic talks about that motif! (I watched all the videos as you can tell and although I knew most of the stuff, wordsmithic made very good connections there!)

Hopefully, now my initial disclaimer makes sense. There are telling signs of what each myth means, and we take the signs from the culture these myths came from. It's very cool when you can observe the culture's evolution and see hints of that in the present to make more connections.

for context, keita/raze (he/him) is my irl partner. he's been a simp for alucard (castlevania) longer than i've begun simping for strahd. i only discovered this years into the relationship when we watched castlevania (where i expected to be a bigger simp for castlevania), and instead HE made high pitch simping noises as alucard appeared on the screen and i was like -sus eyes- wait a GOSH DARN MINUTE-. also, keita has a thing for necks. i shrugged it off when he first told me, but years later i started simping for strahd and now i look back at that moment like 'hm. odd.-'. anyways, i mostly started dating him because he sounds like a kermit the frog southern guy who goes 'howdy howdy' and he says 'i should be golden' unironically and i think thats pretty funny

Cosmic Indifference - a Murder Drones AU

Let's start things off by taking a step back. We are stuck in a hole beneath the ice and stone. It's boring here. Let's see the sights this planet has to offer.

...Hmm, strange. Did Uzi and her crew get smaller? Well, it's probably nothing to worry about.

Let's take another step back. Copper 9 implies that it's the 9th planet in this system. What are the others like? Do they have Drones? Are they plagued by Disassembly Drones and Solver infections?

Ok, the main cast is definitely smaller now. As if they're... becoming insignificant the farther back we go. But we can't stop now.

Another step back. The Copper system is but a singular solar system among untold trillions, and each and every one has its own stories. The traumas our favorite Drones face are so small from up here.

But what if we went even further? Now we are among not just the universe, but the multiverse. What manner of cosmic beings - gods, even - are out here? How do they perceive the Solver? Is it a great threat to them? Or is it a mere blip in the grand scheme of things? Uzi, N, V, J, Tessa, Khan, Nori, Yeva, Cyn, they are all mere specks of dust from up here, floating adrift in an unfeeling and uncaring universe. And, when you think about it, that's what they are; clumps of cosmic stardust created and given sentience by other dust clumps.

This world is indifferent to the plights of mortals. The gods do not care for the Drones, if they even know they're there. They are wrapped up in grander things. But what are these grander things? By studying the multiverse and the cosmic beings that govern its rules, what can we learn?

6. What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

most of what i write barely even has AN ending I do a lot of open endings

i think the closest I've gotten to a complete story story have been A Shell for a Mate and Camera Cutie and they both end pretty happy

7. Do you write a cross-overs?

I have not as of yet! if I ever do it's probably going to be an isekai type scenario because it seems like the most fun to me

I still have not shockingly

Sometimes im not very good at it and am still learning on that front most of it tends to cut before smut really happens or is just jacking off

I'm a big multi shipper so don't really even have one within one single fandom and you want an overall??

right now 99% of what i think about is Percy ships

but i do have alot of things I've started because the mood hit that i just can't see myself going back to like i have 3k for an amnesia memories au that has just been gathering dust since that original sprint of inspo hit

15. What are your writing strengths?

??? i come up with fun concepts i think? or at least they're fun to me

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

the writing part really I come up with far more ideas then I would ever be able to write hence why I still post alot on here but also like making the idea an actual story story and not just a small slice of a story

I'm too lazy for it overall.

I'm not sure i ofc have a list of Percy ships i want to try which is currently

Dudley, Seamus, Justin and then ofc the two that constantly give me trouble when i try to pair them with Percy, Remus and Harry

but like outside of Percy ??

i have fandoms but most are dormant as of now like i love Idolmaster and stay caught up on the music but the idea of writing fics for it is like eh if anything it would be Makio/Soichiro tbh i miss them

I finished rwrb and enjoyed it a ton but with the firstprince being canon my brain just doesn't care that much to even seek out content for it because that's how my brain works

its canon so i don't feel the need to read (or by extension write) like 1000 different scenario's for them to get together

like people who stay fully invested in canon couples are powerful because my interest in them in a fanon sense goes out the window every time

i feel like if i ever did do something with rwrb it be an isekai since they are both into HP so it be a very typical get transported into your favorite series story i think that would be fun

i will never do it but fun idea

the ships i like for Danganronpa would probably get me killed/j

like i am with Percy now i was a big Chihiro multi shipper in my DR days before settling on ChiMaru as my favorite for them

20. What's your favourite fic that you've written?

controversial pick but Secret Fantasy 

i put so much work into it KNOWING no one was going to care about it because it's incest but i care about it damn it!! its the longest fic ive written as of now and i had so much fun with it and still think about it alot

less controversial pick is Camera Cutie  because I'm Colin kick at the moment though it is a bit more like messy since it was a pretty early one

The crashing, grinding guitars of 20th Century Boy blasted out of the theatre's sound system - the band’s three minute warning. There was a swell of noise from this Liverpool audience, an increase in anticipation, a sense of forward motion sweeping across the empty stage that made James take a deep breath.

He was sitting on an equipment trunk in the wings, out of the way of the techs and roadies doing their final checks of all the equipment on stage. He always sat there before a gig, as close to the stage as he could get, taking ten minutes to gauge the energy of the audience he was about to work with.

Stonehouse Naval Hospital, Plymouth, 6th December 1848

Francis I know you will forgive my handwriting you know what I have been through to make it so unsteady. Three months after our return and I am still in a room at Stonehouse, although I can walk a little way now and take in the fresh air - I am told it is cold but I hardly feel it - and only sometimes fall into a collapse. Coming back to life is a dire thing

cold, on the stroke of midnight (Tozer/Fitzjames 6.7k)

It is a bright and breezy Friday in April, the sky is brilliantly blue, and daffodils are abundant in gardens, verges, and the council's square concrete planters. Hardly the usual setting to a ghost story.

Nor is Greenwich's covered market. A space that is certainly old enough for ghosts, despite the jumbled Georgian space having been gutted in the mid-twentieth century to make way for ordered utilitarianism. There are no dark corners or foreboding decay here;

"Shirley!" rings out from the bedroom, and James holds in a grin while he carefully runs a razor over his cheeks.

A gruff voice joins in with Billy Bragg’s nasal tones, singing about, " sleeping here in this new room ." James glances towards the open en-suite door when the next, "SHIRLEY," is bellowed at the top of two small sets of lungs.

He shaves his chin and top lip as the same flat voice sings along with the tinny phone speaker, “you’re my reason to get out of bed before noon.”

If I like a thing, stick it on the dance card (Fj & Dundy, 5k)

James has never known the mercury to rise so high for so long on this side of the channel. It is the sort of weather that saps the strength, fogs the mind, and makes the prospect of a press of people almost intolerable.

But tolerate it one must. Invitations to the residence of Portsmouth’s Commander-in-Chief were not sent out to all young officers, and to turn down an Admiral’s hospitality would not do one’s career any favours. Especially while marooned on land at half-pay.

Tenebrism (Fj&Tozer - sexual tension - Dr Stanley & FJ - trauma tension. 10k)

James isn’t sure what happened. Raised voices, visions of a building on fire and men lying in the street come to him in blurred flashes then disappear before he can gather any meaning from them. His last solid image is something he would rather not remember; a marine, shot in the head and tumbling off of the high Chinese wall, the spray of gore splashing James and the marine corporal who had clambered up the ladder behind him.

“Jesus Christ, ” he remembers the corporal saying under his breath. “Christ, Christ, Christ,” following James along the wall and then down the other side.

you've got fitzier (Fitzier. 15k)

It is a crisp and cool afternoon, and Francis’ favourite time of the week is about to start; storytime at The Shop Around the Corner.

During the week, his bookshop - with its dark blue front and hand painted sign above the windows, accented in gold - caters to exhausted students and locals in a rush, and the occasional tourist, all speaking in low voices as they move quietly between the shelves. But children don't hold books in the same hushed respect. To them books are all wonder and adventure, and every Saturday they fill up the shop with their excitement for all the colour and all the new worlds they will discover, and for storytime.

an abundance of Jameses (Fitzrossier. 2.4k)

A moan, deep and decadent, breaks through the doze Francis has slipped into. He lays a moment listening to the soft creak of the bed and the filthy noises filling the room; feeling the mattress jostling faintly beneath him as his clouded mind clears slowly, then all at once, leaving a numb sort of awareness behind.

Francis licks his dry lips while taking stock of himself; thinking of shifting away from where the sheets are rucked uncomfortably beneath his stomach. But the task of moving a few inches is made impossible by the satisfied heaviness in his limbs, and the beautifully cool pillow his hot cheek is pressed against.

The pop of a cork sounded as James struggled through a seemingly endless amount of weighty white linen, trying to find a way into his disguise. It was musty from being folded away in the bottom of a costume trunk for years and the smell tickled his nose horribly, distracting his efforts to keep his elbows away from the close walls of his cabin.

Eventually his hand found chilled air, and soon the rest of him followed, emerging with a small noise of triumph. He tugged at where the under-dress had bunched over his chest, finally getting it to fall down over his legs in a soft rustle of fabric as he remarked, "Dundy, you'll be drunk before we get to Carnivale.”
