KotE......... I do actually rly enjoy KotE I think it has potential in terms of where it's going. But since I only posted one fic in 2023, I'll do my top 5 of fics I've ever posted. Apart from the first one this is in no particular order

tickertape - The A-Team (TV) it's my baby it's all I thought about for months of my life, it's like an iceberg (i.e. most of it is in my WIP doc, and only a tiny fraction is published so far), it got me thru a difficult time, it's an exploration of mental illness and complicated messy relationships expressed in epic format (i.e. it's probably gonna be novel length when it's done)

Bullet Number Six - Starsky & Hutch (TV) it received criticism for being obscure and hard to follow bc it switches pov briefly halfway thru but idc i love it anyway

I Gotta Right to Sing the Blues - The A-Team (TV) it was my first A-Team fic and I still think for a beginner it nailed some p realistic in-character dialogue and addressed an undertone I wished I'd seen addressed in the ep it's a coda to.

When They Sleep - The Man from UNCLE (TV) it's kind of riddled with certain mannerisms of my slightly older writing which I personally find a bit annoying and have worked to iron out for the sake of elegance over the years. but I still think it's a cool little exploration of all my sleep headcanons for the pair of them in one place

King of the Eyesores - Doctor Who (1963) see it made it to the list after all! I kinda like it more for its potential than for what it is right now butttttt who cares.

special mention to Unbereft (Starsky & Hutch) which I really really like but I wrote it in one frenzied sitting and only remembered after I'd posted it that it was very like someone else's fic I'd read several years previously. I don't think it's too much like to be taken down and I've since mentioned the writer of the other fic (it was dawnwind, hello!) in the notes. that's the only reason unbereft isn't in my top 5 because I'm otherwise really proud of how well it's written. Not to tootle on my own trumpet.

Dear Mike - an epistolary between Jo Grant and Mike Yates following her marriage to Cliff Jones.

The Lark/Behind That Locked Door (working titles) - a 30-chapter 2/Jamie fic about season 6B in which Jamie suffers permanent memory problems after the War Games. It explores grief, social ostracism, feeling abandoned, undirected anger, guilt, and acceptance that healing sometimes is a process that is never complete. I've been working on it since about 2016 lol but I'm lazy I just need to press on.

hell valley au - as yet untitled lol. In which the Hell Valley!Marty (who is never seen in BTTF2 as he is in Switzerland) and Hell Valley!Doc (who has been institutionalized) break out of their respective situations and go on the run together. But there's a problem - they had to leave Einstein behind, and when they get information that Einie is to be used for a dogfight, they make the risky decision to go back to Hill Valley to rescue him. However, going back to the place they just escaped by the skin of their teeth also brings them face to face with the last person they expect to meet.

a changed man (working title) - a Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) fic from Jeannie's pov. mostly it's about their picnic excursions but it's also about Jeannie wishing Marty wasn't such an elephant in the room

mfu/rahd xover (untitled) - the first chapter of this is almost ready to go tbh. it's what it says on the tin lol, Napoleon and Illya go to London and get help from a rather eccentric private detective who has uncanny powers of solving impossible cases but also they think is probably clinically insane

to see him happy - VERY weird rahd fic. it's smut but its also about grief. might never post it because several of my family members have access to my tumblr and therefore my ao3 lol they dont need to see that

the winter of '62 - a study of jeff and marty's life when they lived together in a grotty bedsit and couldnt afford to put the heating on

star wars (untitled) - set during ROTJ, han pov. han's lost a lot of time and now everyone is one step ahead of him which isn't a sensation he's used to

the older gen (untitled) - jeeves fic about bertie's aunts and uncles and parents as they were as they variously grew up, got married, had children, died (or didn't), fell prey to alcoholism or insanity or petty crime, went to war, prospered (or didn't)... This is pretty unlikely to be finished this year tbh as it's very detailed but I can dream

a couple of long form fics about starsky & hutch and mfu respectively (the s&h one is set post sweet revenge, the mfu one takes place at various moments throughout the show)

x-files series - canon compliant until paperclip and then gradually diverges into how i think the show should have gone lol. another biggie

and a handful of tintin fics that im protective of and might never post but we'll see - one where tintin and chang go on holiday in london after picaros, one where the gang encounters rajaijah one last time (featuring a letter from didi, chang making a very daring crossing at the songolese border, and tintin taking about ten years to chop up a clove of garlic), and one where tintin gets shitfaced at an embassy ball and accidentally starts an Incident. haddock looks on, appalled.

i knoooooooooooooooowww this is a lot but i'm not realistically hoping to finish it all this year but it's nice to have lots of things to play around with lol.

a/n: i didn’t plan on writing this but this week has been v introspective and a little confusing? so it’s ~self indulgent fic time~. title from “walking on air” by king crimson, regular college au tony angst and a rly soft ironstrange moment

Stephen could tell, even without seeing his boyfriend’s expression, that Anthony was lost in thought. He’d been wandering in his mind for most of the day, and though they helped Stephen knew his gentle encouragements and praises didn’t magically fix everything. He was self aware enough to know he wasn’t that powerful, and he knew he couldn’t banish everything that bothered Anthony. But sometimes Stephen wished it was possible, with just a wave of a hand, to give Anthony the peace of mind that had been stolen from him time and time again. It was late enough to be asleep, but even without seeing his face Stephen knew Anthony was fighting the desire to close his eyes and let the day end. He was curled up in Stephen’s arms, head resting on his boyfriend’s chest as he wandered hopelessly through the maze of his thoughts.

Anthony was exhausted. He spent the day complaining, humorously of course because heaven forbid he gave anyone a reason to find fault with him, that he was tired. Stephen saw right through the act and knew he was legitimately tired, and not just physically. He also knew that Anthony didn’t feel fulfilled unless he accomplished something tangible, and on days when he wanted to do nothing, to just exist outside of the pressure he put on himself, he retreated to relentless self-deprecation for not doing more. He was still used to being judged, ridiculed, and used for what he did or didn’t do, depending on the circumstances, and he’d made a lot of progress unlearning those thought streams, but it wasn’t easy.

So Stephen didn’t fault Anthony for being upset and confused, his heart breaking when he saw how hesitant Anthony was to believe his reassurances. He still didn’t trust himself to let go of all of his façades, especially not the carefully practiced busybody energy he maintained when dealing with others. Sometimes, often without realizing, he really did act as if his entire life was nothing but deadlines. He thought that he didn’t matter, only his work did. Anthony didn’t know what to do with himself as a human, which fucking petrified him. He sometimes didn’t see himself as human, but he couldn’t say how he saw himself. Stephen frowned as he remembered Anthony once saying that he could only ever picture himself as a burden to everyone he knew, or just a mind and body to be toyed with and used.

Stephen was drawn away from the memory of that conversation and back to the present when Anthony looked up at him.

“Thought you were asleep,” he mumbled, shifting just enough to lay his head on Stephen’s shoulder.

“Nah, I’m genuinely not tired,” Stephen replied.

“I’m not either,” Anthony said stubbornly.

Stephen would’ve usually been a bit snarky or argued that during their earlier romp Anthony called him “exhausting”, but this was one of those moments where he didn’t want to banter.

Instead, Stephen took a gentler approach and scoffed at him. “You’ve never been a good liar, Ant.”

“Because I don’t try to lie to you the way I do to other people,” Anthony replied bluntly. “I don’t feel like I need to be protecting myself from judgement when I talk to you.”

“You don’t,” Stephen reminded him, softly kissing his head. “And you don’t have to stay up for me, if that’s what you’re wondering about.”

“Shouldn’t I?” Anthony asked.

“No, in fact I don’t want you to,” Stephen said. “If you’re as tired as we both know you are, you don’t need anyone’s permission to rest and leave today where it is. And you don’t have to sacrifice sleep or your well-being for anyone you’re in any kind of relationship with, and you shouldn’t.”

Anthony looked at him skeptically, as if he was waiting for the other shoe to drop. He was really fucking tired and wanted nothing more than to sleep soundly in Stephen’s arms, but he couldn’t overcome his anxiety and felt his heart skip as Stephen frowned.

“Hey, I’m not upset with you,” Stephen said, trying to disrupt Anthony’s anxious train of thought before it took off. “I’m just trying to decide how to say what I’m thinking.”

“I’m listening,” Anthony replied, instinctively reaching out to hug him.

“I know,” Stephen murmured, kissing him again. “But sometimes there’s a difference between you listening to me and you believing what I say.”

Anthony nodded. “Guilty.”

“I get it, though. I don’t blame you,” Stephen began. “And I’m not saying this to try and convince you of anything, if that makes sense. I just want you to understand that you’re one of the most important people, if not the most important person in my life.”

Anthony was silent, expectantly waiting for Stephen to continue as he shifted even closer to him.

“I love you, and I know I tell you that all the time but it means so much to be able to say it, and to be able to love you,” Stephen began. “I know you probably better than I know myself, both because we grew up together and because along the way you’ve always put your trust in me without hesitation. I know you don’t trust easily, and you have valid reasons for doing so, so to know that your trust in me has only increased is so important to me and I’m always going to cherish that. I’m always going to cherish you. Your kindness and selflessness are fucking insatiable and it makes my blood boil to know that people have tried to change and take advantage of you.”

Stephen let his words hang in the air, pressing a flurry of kisses to Anthony’s hair and face.

“You’re the only person I’ve ever really been close to, which you know so I don’t know why I’m telling you that,” Anthony replied. “I know I’m bad at emotions sometimes—”

“You really aren’t,” Stephen cut him off. “You’re very perceptive and empathetic, but much more towards others than to yourself. I didn’t mean to cut you off, I’m sorry.”

“You’ve been interrupting me our entire lives, since even before we could speak full sentences, and now you want to apologize?” Anthony teased. He laughed for the first time all day, his heart lighter than it had been in awhile.

Stephen’s heart sang.

“I love your laugh,” he murmured. “I love when you laugh like nobody’s listening, and when a song you love comes on and you start dancing. I love how you’re always talking about something and bringing people into your conversations. You’re magnetic, not even because of what you say but because of how you say it. Without a doubt you’re the most inviting person I’ve ever known, and I love you for that. I just really love the moments where it just hits me that I’m hopelessly in love with my best friend and that you love me too.”

“I think you’ve seen more of my real self than anyone else” Anthony replied. “Because you’ve always made me feel safe and comfortable enough to be emotional, even when I was discouraged from it. You’re one of the only constants, one of the only people who I know means every word they say to me.”

“I do, and I always will,” Stephen vowed. “I love you for everything you are, for much more than your mind and body even as amazing as they are. Everything at your core combines to make you the most creative, intellectual, and understanding douchebag I’ve ever met, but I wouldn’t have it another way. There’s no one else I’d rather call my lover and best friend.”

Anthony sighed shakily, beginning to cry into Stephen’s shoulder. He was overwhelmed, the stress of the day finally breaking from its orbit around him. His stress combined with the gratitude and love he felt for Stephen, leaving him emotional and vulnerable. Despite all of that, and despite how much Anthony hated to be vulnerable even in front of Stephen (he was still working on that), he knew he’d be okay. He knew he’d be able to be himself, no matter what mood he was in or how that looked, and find a home with his best friend.

Anthony let himself cry until he was almost asleep, his body still recovering from a brutal anxiety attack earlier. He could hear himself talking but was already drifting away, not thinking much before he talked. “I don’t think I’d be... I don’t think I’d be anything without you.”

“Give yourself more credit,” Stephen admonished, his voice sweet and loving and no louder than a whisper. “You’re incredible and unlike anyone I’ve ever known, but not because or in spite of anyone else.”

Anthony hummed, either agreeing with or questioning what Stephen said but it wasn’t clear which. He closed his eyes, looking content with the idea of sleeping for once.

Stephen didn’t say anything, still unwilling at this point to be snarky towards his boyfriend. He just petted Anthony’s hair, whispering as many sweet nothings and affirmations of love as he could.

Anthony still tried to stay up, not because he felt like needed to or because he was annoyed with himself, but because he wanted to hear everything Stephen had to say. Stephen knew this of course, smiling as Anthony fell asleep just after a soft, breathless “love you.”

They show up at the wayne manor with a bruise on their face after fighting with Robin over a stupid argument and Damian’s concerned. But then they figure out what happened and he feels rly bad. Summary: A new vigilante emerges in Gotham, one that's super. Batman and Robin find out and Bruce sends his son to confront this new suspected metahuman. After a rough night, Damian leaves ‘Spirit’ badly wounded, so when (Y/N) Kent comes over the next day with the same scratches, Damian gets suspicious.

You were tired of living under your father and brothers' spotlights. Hell, you were even under your mother's spotlight in civilian life. So,  at the ripe age of seventeen, you decided to take matters into your own hand and became the vigilante known as Spirit.

The first few nights on the streets of Metropolis went horribly. Not only did you run into your father, who at the time didn’t know it was you, a multitude of times, but everyone seemed to think the ‘S’ on your uniform stood for supergirl. 

You were enraged, could you just, for one night, not be a Kent or a Super? You needed a change of scenery, so you did your research.

As you searched away on your laptop, looking up distances between cities, you came to realise that the only far enough place for you to make a name for yourself was in Gotham.

So here you were, perched atop the Gotham National Bank building, on the prowl for any villain that deemed tonight a good night for trouble. 

“Come here often?” You spoke out as you felt a certain presence behind you. You had to admit sometimes super hearing comes in handy. 

The figure, that seemed to be walking towards you, stopped its movements. 

“Listen pal, I know you’re there, why don't you make this easier for you and just turn yourself in.”

“Tt.” The figure gave.

You stood up from your crouching position and began to walk towards whoever this mystery person was. “If you want to do it the hard way…” 

You swung your arm at the masked figure only for it to be caught. Damn, you thought. This isn't just any robber. The person caught a supers punch. I mean hey you were only half Kryptonian, but still.

“Impressive.” You quip as you go in for another hit. This time the assailant moves forward and you catch a glimpse of them in the light, “Robin?” You pause, what the hell was Damian doing here?, leading Robin's hit to go unblocked.

It hits your cheek and you scrunched up your face, fuck, he has a good punch. Once again, only half-super, so the sting was still there.

Robin grunts, going back on the attack when you put your hands up in a surrender, “Hey! D-Robin, we’re on the same team, calm it down!”

The masked teen doesn't listen and dives for another hit, “How do I know you are not lying.” He asks, landing another punch to your side.

You groan, not in pain but frustration, why did Damian have to be this stubborn, “I’m a vigilante, just like you. I’m trying to help out the town.”

Robin rolls his eyes, though you can’t see it from behind the domino mask. “Prove it.”

You blankly stare at him, “How?”

He finally resists from landing another hit on you, “Why are you at the bank, unless you plan to rob it?”

It's now your turn to roll your eyes, “I could ask the same of you short stack.” You hated to admit it, but Damian was in fact taller. 

If there’s one thing you got from your mother, it's your attitude.

This seems to catch the young hero off guard as he sputters, looking for an answer. “I��ll have you know I am the same height as you, If not taller.” Then he grits, pointing his now unsheathed weapon at you, “Answer the question.”

You gently tap the katana away with your fingertips. “Fine. I’m not from Gotham, but I know about your high crime rate and I just wanted to help out, okay?” You lie. Metropolis’ crime rates weren’t peachy either but at least in Gotham you had a name for yourself. 

“Batman and I have it covered.” He said lowly.

“Listen if you don't want me here, I’ll back off, but I just wanted to help those in need.” 

Robin squinted at you, unable to figure out your m.o., were you really who you claimed to be?

“Gotham isn’t looking for more amateur heros, so go back to wherever you came from.” With that, he grappled off of the roof and off into the night. 

“Father. We have an issue.”

Bruce didn’t bother to look away from the batcomputer, this wasn’t the first time Damian had barged in with that sentiment. “What is it Damian?”

The teen took his cape off, as well as his kevlar chest plate, “There’s a new vigilante. I’m not sure what she calls herself but she has immense strength, I believe she may be a super or maybe a metahuman as her punch was difficult to block.”

The older man nodded at his son, of course he already knew this, Bruce was aware of every person that came into Gotham, even those unannounced. 

“I’m aware. She calls herself ‘Spirit’. I’ve deduced she’s no older than you, Damian. I’d like you to get to know her. Or at least what she stands for.” 

“Should I take her down?” Damian asked. 

Bruce spun the chair around, a stoic look on this face, “No. just purely find out who she really is. No violence.”

The next day soon became night and here you were, back in Gotham. Damian really thinks he can just ban me from a city? You thought to yourself, hah, good luck with that bird brain. 

You looked around your area, scoping out to see if the coast was clear. After a thorough check, you did a super jump and landed atop a building. 

“Nice jump there, Spirit. I thought I told you not to come back.”

You spun around, Robin? Was Damian seriously following you now?

“Going to have to try a lot harder if you want me to stop fighting the good fight.” You crossed your arms, “Listen, I don’t know your problem with me. I’m just trying to help out, just like you. Just like Batman.”

Damian clenched his fists and stomped toward you, “you are nothing like me, I’m welcomed in this city. You are not.”

You frowned. Oh if only Damian knew who he was actually speaking to - “Seriously, why do you hate me? Afraid I’ll steal your thunder or something?” You pushed his chest trying to get him to back up. 

Apparently, you also forgot you were half-kryptonian as when you pushed him, he stumbled back, hard. 

“Tt, watch it you freak. I don’t want to fight you, but I will if I have to.”

Your heart hurt at the name but you brushed it off, Damian didn’t know who you were. 

You rolled your eyes once more and sat down into the ledge - just like the night of the bank. “I’m sure you would. Listen Robin, I’m just trying to help those in need. Can you really hate a girl for trying?”

The teen vigilante paused,  she did seem sincere, he thought, maybe he could trust her. 

“Fine. But if I find out you’re only in my town to cause trouble, I will end you.” He glared at her and she smirked back. 

“I'd like to see you try. But fair enough. Consider this a partnership.”

Sticking out your hand, you eyed him to shake it. 

Damian refused and simply took out his grappling gun, once again disappearing into the night. 

You poked your cheek in the mirror. It was times like these you wish you had all of your dads powers as this bruise was very ugly to look at. 

He fights very well. You thought as you pinched the sore skin. Even though it had been a day since the incident, the bruise forming was still as purple as ever. You didn't know how you were going to make it through today. Tim and Conner had a planned hangout and after your mom said you needed a little more ‘Conner time’, you had to tag along. What would Damian think of the bruise?

“(Y/N)! It’s time to go, we’re going to be late!” Your brother yelled from the living room. 

“I’m coming, Conner, just hold on!” 

You tried to put some concealer on the bruise but it just wouldn’t mask the ugly discolored skin. 

“(Y/N)!” Conner yelled again. 

“Alright, alright, hold your fucking horses.” You whispered to yourself. 

Bursting into the living room, you kept your head down so as to not alert any of the Kent household of your new shiner. 

“Holy shit! (Y/N) what happened to your face!?” Exclaimed Jon as he flew past you. 

You looked up, annoyed at your twin brother's antics. 

“Jonathan Kent, No flying in the house.” Your mother yelled from the kitchen. She then turned to you, “(Y/N), where in the world did that come from?” Reaching out to brush your cheek, you swiftly pulled away, avoiding her eyes at all costs. If there was one thing you didn’t need your family to find out about, it was your late night trips to Gotham City.

“Nothing mom. I just fell in my room is all. Promise, it’s not a big deal.” Looking up to your older brother you signaled to the door, “Time to leave?”

He gave you a toothy grin and nodded, “Yeah c’mon. Tim’s waiting for me.”

Conner ran up the steps to the Manor and pounded on the door, far too excited to see his best friend. Meanwhile, you slowly made your way up, really not wanting to have to hang out with the two. 

You still didn’t get why you had to come. She claimed that you and Jon hung out too much and that you needed to get closer to Conner. You rolled your eyes at the memory, you were 17 not 7. Plus, now you had to face Damian.

The two large doors swung open revealing an ecstatic Tim Drake, “Conner! My man! So glad you could come.” He then leaned in, “Did you have to bring your little sister though?” 

Thanks to super hearing, you knew exactly what Tim had said and you grumbled in response. Of course Conner didn’t tell him I was coming. 

Conner laughed and gave Tim a hug, “Don’t worry dude. Just make her hang out with Damian or something.” He whispered.

You blushed at those words, mentally cursing Conner. That fucker knew you had a crush on the youngest Wayne. Why would he do this to you? Especially when you looked like this.

“Alright alright, come on in guys. Bedrooms upstairs to the right but you already knew that.” Tim winked. You followed Conner when he stopped you, placing a hand on your shoulder. 

“Um not you though. Sorry (N/N) today’s bros only day. I’m sure you can stay down here and find a book to read.” He smirked at you knowing full well what Tim would say next. 

“Actually,” Tim said, “Damians in the library painting if you’d like to join him. I’m sure the devil child wouldn’t mind a buddy.”

You glared at the two of them but then sighed, walking towards the large house library. 

Knocking on the door, you called out to see if anyone was in there. 

Unluckily enough, Damian came to open it. You kept your head down as to avoid attention from your killer battle wound. You did not want Damian to find out about your nightly activities, he would never stop nagging you then.

“Kent.” He greeted, “To what do I owe the pleasure.” Damian said mockingly. 

You rolled your eyes and pushed past him, finding a seat on the sofa. 

“My lovely brother decided to ditch me for yours so here I am.” 

Damian chuckled, walking back to his paints. “How poetic.” He remarked. Then asked, “How’s Jon?”

You shrugged still looking at the floor, “He’s good. You know just being the same goofy asshole he’s been since he was 10.”  The young Wayne teen laughed at that in agreement. 

“And you? How have you been Damian?” You asked. 

“Annoyed. There’s a new vigilante in town. Claims to be the ‘Spirit’. She’s been challenging me while on patrol.  I’ve been having small spats with her here and there, but they’re driving me insane. She's almost as bad as Todd.”

You couldn’t help but look up, smirking, after all, it's not everyday you got the oneup of Damian.“Awe does little ol’ Damian have a crush?” You teased. Hope glimmered in your eyes. 

Damian was about to roll his eyes when he caught sight of your face. His focus latched on to the large black and blue mark on your cheek. His heart stopped, he knew where that came from. 

Because he was the one that did it. Then the dots clicked. 

“You! You’re Spirit? What the hell Kent? Do you know how dangerous Gotham is?”

Damian marches over to you in annoyance, “Do you know how difficult you have made my life? Not only do I think about you daily as (Y/N) Kent, but now nightly as Spirit!?” He blurted out. 

You froze. Damian thought about you? Does that mean…

“Damian, does that mean you like me?”

His cheeks flared a pretty red color as he looked at his shoes, “If I were to say yes, would you be in agreeance or make a fool of me?” 

You chuckled as you stood up from the couch and placed your hand in his. “Damian I’ve liked you for such a long time it’s unbelievable, I just can’t believe you like me-“ 

He interrupted you, “Beloved, you are the sun in my life, and I pray that I can make you mine.” 

You blushed furiously, “Of course.”

Smiling, Damian leaned in and captured your lips. He kissed you desperately, like he’d been needing this for years. 

He went to further the kiss and put his hand on your cheek, causing a hiss of pain to erupt out of you. 

You pulled back, holding your bruised cheek. You laugh, “You pack quite the punch.”

Damian scratched the back of his neck, embarrassed. “I truly apologize beloved, if I had known it was you, I would’ve gone lighter, I’d hurt anyone who ever left a scar on you or a bruise for that matter.”

You rolled your eyes, though flattered by Damians words, you could handle yourself. I mean you were half-kryptonian after all. 

“I appreciate the sentiment Dami, but I can handle myself. Really, you saw how good I fought firsthand.” You squeezed his hand lightly. 

“I know. I would never question your strength. I love that about you.”

You pecked his lips “Good. Just remember who kicked your ass last night.”

Damian wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you close, “I don’t think I could ever forget that. It was quite humbling.”

You scrunched your nose at his sarcastic tone, “You’re a jerk.”

He smirked and then leaned close, forehead pressed into yours. “But I’m your jerk. And that’s all that matters right now.”

1. slow burn or love at first sight / i immensely enjoy both but when done well i find love at first sight to be incredibly entertaining. it can be a bit corny and unrealistic obv but i like seeing ppl who fall head over heels for each other and prematurely enter a relationship, only to have to learn how to actually navigate it afterward 

2. fake dating or secret dating / i don’t particularly care for either 

3. enemies to lovers or best childhood friends to lovers / i'm a diehard edwin fan therefore this is the only conceivable answer. not to say that i don’t love enemies to lovers bc in its best iterations i definitely do, but the latter calls to me more esp bc there is so much you recognize and understand about a person you’ve known since you were children 

4. there’s only one bed or long distance correspondence / it’s about the angst of separation and going your respective ways bc each of you has your own goals or part to play in the greater landscape of the world! love it love it 

5. hurt/comfort or amnesia / i don’t think these are rly comparable tbh and both pack their punches really well. i am amnesia trope lover obv as someone who has extensively read through nearly the entire clamp catalogue and i am a hurt/comfort lover bc it’s literally the only thing i am capable of writing myself. (also here is one of the best amnesia trope fics absolutely ever, to bnha fans) 

7. mutual pining or domestic bliss / from a strictly fanfic perspective domestic bliss is just not something i am interested in or think about much like i have even tried to think about domestic things with characters i like and inevitably it always turns into angst, so 

8. smut or fluff / this is only bc fluff tends to severely annoy me with it’s mischaracterizations, and that’s not to say that smut can’t be totally ooc either but usually the good stuff is written well and with a pointed purpose that i can appreciate 

9. canon compliant or canon divergence / i am a naruto fan 

10. reincarnation or major character death / i don’t actually read a lot of fics with this trope but it’s something i think about regularly when i write meta so it’s kind of the same thing. reincarnation mostly feels like a copout to me with the only exception being clamp’s brand of it because it’s not just a throwaway thing done at the end of the story and is actually an extensive plot device 

12. kid fic or pregnancy / neither due to similar reasoning for domestic bliss 

13. arranged marriage or accidental marriage / it’s about the aaaaaangst. i only think people of color should be allowed to write about these things tho 

14. high school romances or aged-up romances / ig? i don’t really read a lot for fandoms where high school romances would come up. i like focusing on that college period instead usually esp if it’s about like how people drift apart after high school but coincidentally cross paths years later. good angsty stuff

22. love triangle or miscommunication / since this is talking about fanfic i’m going to say neither bc it’s honestly not something i look for at all. but i am a staunch advocate for love triangles and miscommunication in published media bc when used well they’re exquisite. unfortunately a lot of mainstream media does not use them well so it’s lead to complaints over the years but i have good taste and don’t suffer from that problem. amen

thank you!!! actually, I’ve been getting a lot of comments lately about how my style is messy lol (ie “I love messy styles like this!”) which feels a little bit like a backhanded compliment even if its not intended as such but yknow... I’ve decided I don’t care! I draw really cleanly for my day job and so for personal work and fanart I’m just going to be as messy and sketchy as I want lol. and hopefully it’s legible.

I don’t mind! Thankfully, if someone makes an addition to a post, only the first like half a sentence will show up in my notifications! So it’s not like the length really makes a difference. And if it’s meta about the characters or about the art, I’d like to see it! I mean obviously content is going to matter... like if I draw art of my favorite character, caption it “my favorite character :)!” and someone writes an essay underneath thats like “actually I hate this character, I think its annoying how many people like them etc etc” then ofc I’m gonna be a little off put. But generally?? doesn’t bother me at all.

What does bother me though is when people RP on a post I make lol..... Or have a conversation with a friend? Like you guys know I get all the notifications for that, right...? And I’m a single person, not a brand who u can just use to shitpost...

NOT AT THE MOMENT NOPE... It’s been really difficult for me to fulfill orders in the past year so I closed my shop. The last couple orders that came in...I took like 3 months to mail them because I moved to a new city and had to figure out so much mailing nonsense and only had time on the weekends...
