What all of the Questers were ready for when they went on a ‘quest’: swords, claws, being attacked, getting stitches, having to fight, being covered in blood 24/7, possible internal bleeding, having to fight someone while your guts are splayed across your bonds back and you are half hanging off of them

What the Questers were not, in fact ready for: all 800 lbs of rage daddy coming and slamming into them to shield them when the going gets tough

bUT onto less mushy stuff: these two being shenaniganizers; tomfools. Bruce realized that Danny didn't actually know he was Bruce Wayne and instead of going "oh actually im bruce wayne" he went; "hrm... how long can i keep this going until he realizes...."

like. i think they deserve to be the sillies. just utter goobers the both of them. like, danny makes the wittiest side comments, dry quips, under his breath towards Bruce while they're out in public (Danny covering his face with a face mask) and Bruce is trying not to laugh. Meanwhile if Bruce makes one sly comment about someone to Danny, Danny's gonna collapse with laughter.

Bruce plays straightman in most of their bits, he has the best fucking poker face. But also I firmly believe he does actually enjoy Danny's puns. Look me in the eyes- look me in the eyes. Try and tell me that a man that willingly agrees to call a car "the batmobile" even after his eight year old ward grows up (thus negating the need to go along with his antics) doesn't enjoy a good, well-placed pun. Look me in the eyes and try to tell me that. That's right you can't.

He's gonna spit out a well-placed pun in the driest, most boring Batman Voice Ever one day while he's getting ready for patrol, and Danny's gonna fucking die of laughter. He's gonna lose his mind. Bruce is going to have a half-dead sickly teenager laughing his lungs out in the chair. That's a new core memory right there, every time Danny thinks about that he's gonna start giggling.

just!!! these two making each other laugh! That's so important to me. So so much. I nEED Danny to get Bruce to smile and laugh and I need Bruce to make Danny do the same. Danny's all snark and sass and Bruce is all deadpan and dry quips. Do you all see my vision.

Sooooo I kinda desperately want to join the OC discord you posted a while back? But I’m legitimately terrified, I’ve never done this before and my OC is kinda niche but kinda fun? Also I’m the Assassin’s Creed/One Piece anon (if you’ve even seen it, I know there were asks problem for while). Sorry for bugging!

But basically- Ezra. Adopted child of Pell, friends with Vivi.

Pell is part of the OP version of the Creed, a hidden group working to protect poneglyphs, carriers of the Will of D, and take down Celestial Dragons, scattered across the blues. Pell found Ezra while escorting Cobra before Vivi was born, and brought her home.

She’s a stealth and poison expert with a preference for knives, a massive vendetta against Crocodile, and while I’m still working on how *exactly* this sassy little shit ended up with the Kid pirates, that’s ideally where I’m putting her. Partially because it deeply amuses me to think about pasty goth queen covered in knives arguing with Kid about wearing sunscreen while he’s burning to a crisp under the Alabasta sun.

There is nothing to fear about the OC Discord. This community founded by @discordantwritings has been absolutely amazing. We are all massive fans of one another's OCs, alongside genuinely enjoying one another's friendship and company.

I don't think I've interacted personally with a few of the members here, there are so many of them. I peruse around the archives and enjoy learning about all of the niche subjects and peculiarities of their OCs. I obviously have a preference for the fishfolk OCs, and there has been ships sailing and fictional relationships forming between them.

The reason I haven't been as active as I usually am here is because I've been writing and drawing for the OCs and their ships in the chat. I'm obsessed with all of them.

I have my criticisms of Valentine's Day, but one that I'm starting to change my mind about is 'Why do you need a specific day to show someone you love them? You can do that whenever'. Because yeah, that's true. But it's also true of Mother's Day and Father's Day, of birthdays, of almost any holiday. No, you shouldn't need a specific day to treat your partner (or friend or anyone else you love), but there's no harm in having an extra excuse to celebrate. And if your partner only makes an effort on Valentine's Day... That's not the day's fault.
