That fic I wrote the other day about papa Giyu has infected my brain and now I can't think about anything but papa Giyu

He would be such a good dad, I'm sure of it. We don't know much about his childhood, but we do know he loved his sister, and we know he is quietly very sentimental. Just look at his haori.

He's also got a soft side, though he hides it well. He went against every tenet of the Demon Slayer Corps to let Tanjiro and Nezuko live, and he sent them to Urokodaki, trusting that the man would not only look after them but also not turn him in for breaking the rules.

All of this makes me 100% sure that he would be a great dad. As soon as he could after the birth, he would cradle his little one close, making a silent promise to keep them safe. He would watch them sleep, relishing in the little bubble of peace he'd built.

As they got older, he would keep a watchful eye, making sure they never got themselves into trouble he couldn't get them out of. As they toddled around their home, he would never be far behind, soft smile on his face as they explored the world. He knows the world can be unkind, dangerous, painful, but if he can spare his little one from that, he will.

In a post-demon world, he would definitely maintain his fitness, not so he could fight, or to impress others, but so that he could carry his children close for as long as possible. The weight of them in his arm, little hands clutching the fabric of his clothes is something he would give anything to remember forever.

Having a child would give him back little pieces of himself too. Maybe he would see his sister in the way his daughter smiled, or maybe he would see himself in the big blue eyes looking up at him. Whatever the case, smiles would come a little easier and be a little bigger. He never wants his children to doubt they're loved.

Life Moves On

Commentary under the cut!

Sooo I was originally going to make the full design before posting this, but sifloop beckoned me to draw this.

This takes place post-canon, around 5 or so years after the events of Two Hats and the main ending. All his friends eventually split up as life calls them in different directions. Mirabelle goes back to Dormont after a long pilgrimage with the family (including Nille). Isabeau ends up starting an internship with clothing designer with the hopes of starting his own clothing business. Bonnie and Nille still travel around, but that becomes more difficult once Bonnie goes back into school. Lastly, Odile goes back to Ka Bue after a long journey with Siffrin.

Within the main AU (can it be called that if it's supposed to be a continuation of the main story?) Siffrin has to navigate a world without the support of their companions. Turns out, having no goals for the future besides being with your friends makes it really hard to have a purpose in life!

Eventually, he becomes an astronomer after some support from some people he met (I wonder what could have motivated this, teehee~!). This is also when gets a new outfit. They still keep their original one, but it's mostly used for when they know they're going on a long journey since their og cape self regulating temperature craft.

The sifloop is more implied than anything else (so far). After all their friends go their separate ways, Siffrin gets some special earrings as to remember Loop by. They occasionally dream about them. Sometimes it's sad, sometimes it's happy. He's just glad that he gets to see them in any way.

I did not mean for this to get this long... UH anyways! Have this music playlist that I'm going to use as inspiration for this AU!

what if the power of each of the Evanuris is what's keeping the veil held up, and Solas' ritual was drawing upon their power and binding them to their idols (or just stealing their power?) in order to tear down the veil and keep them contained at the same time? he did say in Inquisition that he had contingency plans for the gods, to deal with them at the same time as tearing down the veil

i think he's doing tbe ritual here because the idols are directly linked to the Black City/Golden City where the Evanuris are trapped. see how the idols look like they're in a ritual circle that once belonged to a grander city? the Solas idol lights up when the cutscene starts, probably because he's imbued his power into it

it looks like he manages to get all the idols to light up except for one, the one Rook knocks over and destroys to stop the ritual, which frees two of the gods

so by stopping the ritual you may actually have just made everything worse, because now there are two really powerful, really angry elven gods on the loose...

I kept coming back to this au. More specifically the part where Dee and Leon r trapped in the prison dimension. Like Rise animators did a cool job on animating the squishy fleshy organic dead alien race stuff in the movie! Look at this!

I imagine surviving in a dead wasteland full of decay and corpses and echoes with a lunatic hunting u down 24/7 wouldn't be fun. What horrors do u think they would witness while trying not to bleed out and die? What trauma would Kraang inflict on these two? Revenge and rage are the only things fueling that war criminal & truly I don't think there's anything holding that guy back (for the love of everything I hope the bois don't have to fight any other rise kraang tech, it's genuinely terrifying they're literally gonna die Do NOT let that maniac get their tentacles on anything else besides the weird corpse armour they're wearing plz & thank u)

These poor kids. Leon went from the movie events to this, and Donnie literally got poofed to atoms before popping up in the middle of a child murder. Wowza how overwhelming. The one thing that keeps popping up into my mind is the two of them huddling together under some ruins or holding hands bcuz they're too afraid 2 end up separating and dying alone. How strange would it be. To have a different version of ur brother(- not quite a stranger bcuz there's still similarities that he shares with ur own, he's a brother, he's not urs but there's another versión of u running around, there's a whole nother universe bcuz of course there is and somehow ur still bros in it and he's here instead of his home he's right here) how strange it must be to this different face, different voice and eyes and mannerisms an entire new soul as ur only anchor. To be the only thing to keep u from falling apart. To see each other as a constant reminder of what they wished they had, of wanting to their families, of wanting to just leave this hellscape where things don't make sense and just go home.

But when they do finally get rescued there is no feeling of safety or realness or even a home to greet them. Only a sense of wrong & confusion & hurt & the equally trembling hand holding ur own and those scared haunted eyes that followed u since the horror show of the prison dimension.

How would Leon and Dee interact with each other at first and how did it change as they continued to survive? What was it exactly that made them start clinging to each other? Would it become a habit for them both to go reaching for the other even when nothing is said or done?

And and!! I was thinking about the 2 angst paths u set out too. They're both sooo good!! Honestly u have such a big brain where do u keep coming up with these genius ideas! The custody battle route is very angsty :)) heehehehe. Rise splints and Don having no problem stopping Dee from going home with his family for Leon is so sweet and also AUUUGHH!! They're literally willing 2 do whatever is needed to keep their family safe & happy and I cry but then I remember the 2012 fam being the same & then i cry again

Also ur so right d 2012 bros have never been apart for long, they literally spent 15 yrs of their life together bcuz together meant safe and safe meant home. They're literally heat seeking missiles for each other even in the show. With them it's either they all die or none of them do. How painful it must be to be ripped apart so suddenly like that :((

headcanon that scorpius was a sick child and was in and out of hospital constantly, perhaps related to astoria's blood curse but not directly. his immune system isnt very strong, and everytime he gets sick they're terrified that it's the blood curse but also whatever else it could be, because it's always so sudden and so intense and they call healers over to the house who recommend this delirious feverish 4 year old is hospitalised immediately, and you'd think it'd get easier to some extent because they'd be used to it, but everytime they feel like this is it, this is the time he'll walk in to the hospital and not walk out again
