All AAI2 official English character and case names rated based on whether I think they're better or worse than the fan translation equivalents:
Di-Jun Huang > Di-Jun Wang - It's the same.
Horace Knightley > Bronco Knight - Worse.
Ethan Rooke > Bastian Rook - Worse.
Nicole Swift > Tabby Lloyd - Much better.
Raymond Shields > Eddie Fender - Slightly worse.
Jay Elbird > Rocco Carcerato - Much better.
Simon Keyes > Simeon Saint - Slightly worse.
Sebastian Debeste > Eustace Winner - Sounds worse, fits better.
Justine Courtney > Verity Gavèlle - Much better.
Sirhan Dogen > Bodhidharma Kanis - Much better.
Patricia Roland > Fifi Laguarde - Much better, they've already done "patrol" twice.
Jeff Master > Samson Tangaroa - More unique, less punny. Not sure.
Katherine Hall > Judy Bound - Slightly worse because no food pun.
Isaac Dover > Artie Frost - References his nature as an artist, better.
Pierre Hoquet > Paul Halique - Same as Japanese name, no longer parrot.
Dane Gustavia > Carmelo Gusto - Worse, doesn't sound as awesome.
Delicia Scones > Delicia Scone - It's the same.
Karin Jenson > Florence Niedler - Much better. Florence Nightingale and needles.
Bonnie Young > Hilda Hertz - Better, because alliterative.
Jill Crane > Rosie Ringer - Better, alliterative. Different nursery rhyme.
Blaise Debeste > Excelsius Winner - The absolute Winner among these names. It's so pompous, contains "celsius" and "excel" and just sounds like he went to Oxford.
John Marsh > Shaun Fenn - It's the same. Shaun means John and fen means marsh.
Amy Marsh > Amelie Fenn - It's the same.
Dai-Long Lang > Da-Long Lang - It's the same.
Jack Cameron > Alf Aldown - Better, only because it's a Deid Mann tier awful name rather than a boring realistic name.
Turnabout Target > Turnabout Trigger - Better, sounds more like a presidential assassination attempt.
The Imprisoned Turnabout > The Captive Turnabout - Better, less long-winded.
The Inherited Turnabout > Turnabout Legacy - Better for same reason as above.
The Forgotten Turnabout > A Turnabout Forsaken - Sounds more pretentious, but probably better because less confusion with The Lost Turnabout, where Phoenix forgets.
The Grand Turnabout > Turnabout for the Ages - Worse, I think. It sounds cooler, but doesn't have any chess connotations. They should have called it "The Grandmaster's Turnabout" or "Turnabout Checkmate", I think.
Also, have updated case cards to help you get used to the new names.
EDIT;
Some extra things:
* iFly Airlines in AAI1 has been reverted to its Japanese name of "GoYou". This was probably done because iFly is the name of a real Russian airline with global sanctions against it since 2022.
* As a result, Hugo Ifly is now Ugo Hughes and the tanuki called Mr. Ifly is now Captain Ugo.
* Moozilla is now Taurusaurus, which I think is a better name.
* The Grand Tower is now the Bigg Building, suggesting that Big is not merely its size, but a Mr. Bigg is its proprietor.
* The Zodiac Hall galleries are now referred to as seasonal "Wings" rather than "Palaces". Makes more sense.
* Edgeworth Law Offices is now referred to as Edgeworth and Co. Law Offices, the Co. being Eddie Fender (aka Ray Shields). Again, makes more sense.
* Rocky the bear is now Teddy, since his owner is now already Rocco as a Rocky reference.
* Anubis the hunting dog is now Helmut, a lame pun on "hell mutt".
* Astique the elephant is now Azea, like an "Asian" elephant.
* Ally the alligator is still the same. Regina Berry is not very good at naming animals.

This evening, the House of Commons voted to pass a shameful motion on the Israel-Hamas war, brought forward by Jagmeet Singh’s NDP and supported in an amended version by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Government.
While the motion doesn’t change Canada’s formal foreign policy, elements of its text are disturbing and unacceptable. Some provisions ultimately reward Palestinian extremists and undermine the security of the people of Israel—a democratic Canadian ally—including:
A call for an arms embargo on Israel, precisely when Israelis are fighting a defensive war launched by a recognized terrorist group; and
Reaffirmation of Canadian funding for UNRWA, despite evidence that UNRWA staff participated in the October 7th atrocities.
Tonight’s vote needs to be condemned for what it was: a slap in the face not only to our allies in Israel, but also to Jewish Canadians—just five months after the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust.
But our community can draw strength from our strong, united response in this moment of truth for Canada’s leaders.
In recent days, Jews and allies across Canada mobilized against the motion, including through the efforts of UJA, our advocacy agent the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), partner Federations, and other Jewish organizations. As just one example of our community’s strength, in a matter of days we collectively sent more than 900,000 emails to MPs through CIJA’s action alert system.
This strong, vocal stand was instrumental in ensuring a key clause—unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state—was cut from the motion in a last-minute amendment. This removed a critical demand of the anti-Israel movement, one that would have contradicted Canada’s longstanding policy that Palestinian statehood can only be reached through Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. Importantly, the motion was also amended to call for the release of all hostages and demand that Hamas lay down its arms.
Despite these changes, tonight’s vote reflects something we’ve seen far too often since October 7th: the shameful accommodation of radical voices. But our community will never stop fighting for the truth, for our values as Jews, and for the principles that have been core to Canadian democracy. Because to be Jewish has always meant to fight for what’s right, even when the odds are against us.
We will do so with profound appreciation for those MPs who opposed tonight’s motion—particularly Pierre Poilievre's Official Opposition Conservatives, as well as several members of the Liberal caucus.

Amanda Lewellyn at Vox:
Canada has a growing populism problem. Even Prime Minister Justin Trudeau thinks so. Like many other countries — including the United States — Canadians have spent the last several years dealing with pandemic restrictions, a rise in immigration, and a housing affordability crisis (among much, much else). And like many other countries, that’s showing up in a host of ways: Trust in institutions like the government and media is down. Sentiment on immigration is becoming more negative.
“Well, first of all, it’s a global trend,” Trudeau told Sean Rameswaram in an exclusive interview on Today, Explained. “In every democracy, we’re seeing a rise of populists with easy answers that don’t necessarily hold up to any expert scrutiny. But a big part of populism is condemning and ignoring experts and expertise. So it sort of feeds on itself.” As Trudeau points out, Canada is not alone. But our northern neighbor’s struggle is notable because the country has long been seen as resistant to the kind of anti-immigrant, anti-establishment rhetoric sweeping the globe in recent years — in part because multiculturalism is enshrined in federal law.
It goes back to the 1960s, when French Canadian nationalist groups started to gain power in Quebec. They called for the province’s independence from Canada proper. The federal government, led then by nepo daddy Pierre Trudeau, stepped in. Rather than validating one cultural identity over the other, the elder Trudeau’s government established a national policy of bilingualism, requiring all federal institutions to provide services in both English and French. (This is why — if you ever watch Canadian parliamentary proceedings, as I did for this story — politicians are constantly flipping back and forth between the two languages.) Canada also adopted a formal multiculturalism policy in 1971, affirming Canadians’ multicultural heritage. The multiculturalism policy has undergone both challenge and expansion in the half-century since its introduction. But Pierre Trudeau’s decision to root Canadian identity in diversity has had lasting impacts: Canadians have historically been much more open to immigration — despite having a greater proportion of immigrants in their population — than their other Western counterparts.
But in more recent years, that’s begun to change rapidly as large numbers of immigrants have entered the country amid a housing affordability crisis. An Environics Institute survey showed that in 2023, 44 percent of Canadians felt there was too much immigration — an increase from 27 percent the year before. That’s where Conservative opposition leader Pierre Poilievre comes in. Known as a “soft” populist, he’s started calling on Canada to cut immigration levels (so far, without demonizing immigrants, as we’ve seen from his populist counterparts elsewhere in the West). That said, he looks like a traditional populist in a lot of other ways: Poilievre embraced Canada’s 2022 Freedom Convoy protests, opposed vaccine and mask requirements, voted against marriage equality, has proposed defunding the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, wants schools to leave LGBTQ issues to parents, and has talked about repealing a litany of government regulations — from the country’s carbon tax to internet regulations. Basically, he’s against any “gatekeepers” to Canadians’ “freedom.”
[...]
The plan: Fight populism with policy
Enter: Trudeau’s half-trillion-Canadian-dollar plan for “generational fairness,” also known as the “Gen Z budget” for its focus on younger generations feeling the economic squeeze most acutely. [...]
Can it work?
The bet Trudeau is making is this: The best counterpoint to anti-establishment rhetoric is … using the establishment to make people’s lives better. “The biggest difference between me and the Conservatives right now is: They don’t think government has a role to play in solving for these problems,” Trudeau told Today, Explained. “I think government can’t solve everything, nor should it try. But it can make sure that if the system isn’t working for young people, that we rebalance the system. Market forces are not going to do that.” A key challenge will be demonstrating progress by the time elections roll around. Housing and real estate experts generally cheered the announcement — but noted that it might be years before people on the ground see any real change. Elections, on the other hand, aren’t yet scheduled but have to happen by October 2025 (parliamentary systems, man).
Even Canada isn't immune to the trend of increased right-wing populism, as it could end the reign of PM Justin Trudeau and his Liberal Party.
Trudeau is trying his best to counter it by enacting a Gen Z-focused budget plan.

The actor Matthew Perry, who has been found dead at his home aged 54, brought a wry sense of humour to the role of Chandler Bing in Friends, the American sitcom featuring six twentysomethings in Manhattan facing the ups and down of everyday life.
“Chandler’s a guy who’s just not comfortable in his own skin – he’s got a great excuse to be funny,” said Perry of the sarcastic, neurotic character in the programme that ran from 1994 to 2004. “He’s an exaggerated form of me.”
The neurosis partly came from Chandler experiencing the divorce of his parents when he was nine and using humour as a defence mechanism. It echoed Perry’s own life, with his mother and father splitting up by his first birthday.
Through his work in “statistical analysis and data reconfiguration”, the character pulled in more money than the other friends – Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Monica (Courteney Cox), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Ross (David Schwimmer) and Joey (Matt LeBlanc) – although he hated his job.
Chandler had already met Monica Geller at college before they became neighbours in Greenwich Village, where he shared an apartment with Joey. By the end of the fourth series, the relationship had gone from being close friends to lovers and, three years later, they were husband and wife. Unable to have children of their own, they adopted twins, with their birth as a central storyline, alongside Ross and Rachel reuniting, in Friends’ final episode, which attracted more than 50 million viewers in the US.
By then, the programme’s impact on popular culture had spread well beyond its homeland. Joey’s “How ya doin’?” and Chandler’s “Could I be any more …” broke into the language of its young audience. The part earned Perry worldwide fame that continues with Netflix bringing the sitcom to a new generation.
Nevertheless, stardom did nothing to help the actor to overcome his own vulnerabilities. In 1997, Aniston said: “His feelings get hurt. He cares what people think. He even bruises easily.”
Perry’s battles with his personal demons first hit the headlines halfway through the sitcom’s run. In his 2022 memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, Perry recalled a journey to alcoholism that went from beer and wine at 14 to drinking vodka by the quart, as well as getting addicted to prescription drugs.
In 1997, he checked into a Minnesota rehab clinic for 28 days when he became hooked on a painkiller and appetite suppressant after a jet-ski accident and a 35lb weight loss. Three years later, he was hospitalised with pancreatitis. In 2001, he abruptly left the set of the film Serving Sara (released the following year) to go into rehab again.
Perry reflected that by 2018, at the age of 49, he had spent more than half his life in treatment centres. That year he suffered pneumonia and an exploded colon caused by opiod overuse, resulting in time on life support and two weeks in a coma.
He converted his Malibu home into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, Perry House, in 2013, but closed it two years later, citing expensive running costs.
He had been drug and alcohol-free for 18 months before the screening in 2021 of Friends: The Reunion, a one-off special bringing back together the programme’s six stars.
Born in Williamstown, Massachusetts, Matthew was the son of Suzanne (nee Langford, later Morrison), a Canadian journalist, and John Bennett Perry, an American actor. He grew up mainly in Ottawa when his mother returned to her home country and eventually became press secretary to the then prime minister, Pierre Trudeau. In 2017, Perry revealed that he and another pupil at Rockcliffe Park elementary school had beaten up Justin Trudeau, Pierre’s son and current Canadian premier. Trudeau responded on Twitter (now X): “I’ve been giving it some thought, and you know what, who hasn’t wanted to punch Chandler? How about a rematch @MatthewPerry?”
While studying at Ashbury college, Perry became a top-ranking junior tennis player. He practised up to 10 hours a day, but switched that determination to acting after travelling to Los Angeles when he was 15 and being reunited with his father. “I wanted to be famous so badly,” he told the New York Times in 2002. “You want the attention, you want the bucks, and you want the best seat in the restaurant.”
He made an impression with leading roles in sitcoms: Chazz Russell in Second Chance (1987), retitled Boys Will Be Boys for its second series in 1988, Billy Kells in Sydney (1990) and Matt Bailey in Home Free (1993) before Friends came along.
Perry’s big-screen debut came as River Phoenix’s best friend in A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon (1988), but he never became the film star he hoped to be despite appearances in Fools Rush In (1997), Three to Tango (1999), The Whole Nine Yards (2000) and its sequel, The Whole Ten Yards (2003), both alongside Bruce Willis.
He stuck with television. Switching to drama, he had a short run as Joe Quincy, a Republican lawyer, in The West Wing in 2003, and starred in another Aaron Sorkin series, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (2006-07). His own sitcom idea, Mr Sunshine, with him playing Ben Donovan, a San Diego arena operations manager, was dropped after a short run in 2011. The following year he starred as Ryan King, a sportscaster, in Go On and later played Oscar Madison in a revival of The Odd Couple (2015-17). He also wrote and starred in the play The End of Longing, which debuted in London’s West End in 2016.
He had relationships with many high-profile actors including Julia Roberts, Minnie Driver and Lizzy Caplan. From 2020 to 2021, he was engaged to Molly Hurwitz, a talent manager.
His parents survive him.

Firefighters From Around the World Headed to Canada to Battle Wildfires. (New York Times)
Hundreds of firefighters fought an intense blaze on Friday in Jasper, Alberta, as wildfires turned the picturesque town into a hell-scape of flame-licked treetops and buildings burned to ash.
Two fast moving blazes attacked the town from the north and south, forcing 25,000 people to evacuate earlier in the week, and merged into one massive conflagration.
The extent of the devastation remains unknown, but officials said on Thursday that firefighters were rushing to save what they could of the historic town that lies within Jasper National Park in Alberta. As much as half of the town, one official said, may have been destroyed.
Parks Canada, the country’s national parks agency, estimated on Thursday night that nearly 140 square miles of the park had been destroyed by the fire.
At a news conference on Thursday, Danielle Smith, the premier of Alberta, fought back tears when describing the scenic beauty of the town and park. “We don’t know particularly which structures have been damaged and which ones have been destroyed, but that is going to be a significant rebuild,” she said.
Jasper National Park, which is popular with hikers attracted by its pristine natural beauty and expansive trails, is home to over 50 species of mammals, including elk and grizzly bears. An evacuation order is currently in place for the park and its website said new visitors would be banned from entering until at least Aug. 6.
Cooler temperatures and some rain provided momentary relief on Thursday, Parks Canada said in a statement on X. Those factors, the organization said, “will likely keep fire behavior low for the next 72 hours.”
Over 400 firefighters from as far away as South Africa, Australia and New Zealand were headed to help battle the fires, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a statement on Thursday.
Though wildfires in Canada have been less extensive this year than last, there are still scores of wildfires burning, primarily in the western part of the country.
Pierre Martel, the director of the national fire management program at Parks Canada, said lightning strikes late on Monday, combined with drought conditions and strong winds, contributed to starting a fire that he described as “a monster,” during a news briefing on Thursday.

We are screwed...
We are so, SO screwed...
In Canada, the next prime minister candidate that currently has the most support to become our next leader is the Conservative party leader Pierre Pollièvre...
He is a man that keeps referring to Canada as the "Country of Freedom" (what?!?!? Since when do Canadians go "Freeeeedom!" The fuck?!?!?!) while adopting a very American rhetoric, was against expanding the definition of "marriage" to same-gender couples (though claimed that they should be offered the same "rights", just not the same "definition" nor recognition), argued that "Justin Trudeau should not have the right to impose his gender radical ideologies on kids and schools", etc.
While far from a perfect leader, Justin Trudeau has always stood rather firm on gender equality and been very open and vocal in his support of LGBTQ+ people.
During Trump's first mandate, Canada and the USA were at odds with each other on social issues, and the Liberal Party (left) provided a certain "buffer" to help temper Trump's (right) influence on the rest of North America.
There's often been this odd balance between Canada and the USA. When we had Stephen Harper (right) as prime minister, Obama (considered to be on the left in the USA) was president.
So, as a Canadian, I was desperately hoping that Harris would win, so perhaps it would temper the devastating influence that Pollièvre would continue to have on Canadians when (because I don't even think it's an "if" anymore) he'll be elected as prime minister.
But with Pollièvre's determination to keep taking on a populist approach, where he's been gleefully riding people's fears and paranoia about "wokism" and "the attack on parental rights" and the "slow erosion of traditional family models and values in Canada" to the top...
Where he keeps being kicked out of the House of Commons and building himself this image of a "strong, opinionated no-nonsense leader" that wants to "bring Canada back to its former glory" (whatever that was) and "stick it to the big guys" and their radical ideologies...
Let's say that it doesn't exactly look good, especially not for our transgender and non-binary brothers, sisters, and siblings...
Harris / Pollièvre? Not fun, but would have sent a message of hope that fascism wasn't as horrifyingly on the rise as it is in society right now.
Trump / Pollièvre? This is a nightmare scenario. This is what the far-right needs to believe the people are finally ready to stand with them against their enemy - those "godless degenerates" that seek to destroy the very fabric of their beloved society, and are trying to replace/erase them by daring to exist!
We will endure and continue to support and fight for each other, regardless of who is in charge.
But JFC! This is so heartbreaking, and as optimistic as I'm trying to be, I can't help but see some very dark times ahead.
#Personal#LGBTQ+#Queer#Transgender#Non-binary#Community#My thoughts#Sorry for the current lack of optimism#But despite the fact that I was bracing for it#Seeing it happen just hit really really hard...

TORONTO (AP) — Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Thursday that the country will significantly reduce the number of new immigrants it allows into the country after acknowledging that his government failed to get the balance right coming out of the pandemic.
Trudeau's Liberal government was criticized for its plan to allow 500,000 new permanent residents into the country in each of the next two years. On Thursday, he said next year’s target will now be 395,000 new permanent residents and that the figure will drop to 380,000 in 2026 and 365,000 in 2027.
“In the tumultuous times as we emerged from the pandemic, between addressing labor needs and maintaining population growth, we didn't get the balance right,” Trudeau said.
“Immigration is essential for Canada's future, but it must be controlled and it must be sustainable.”
Trudeau, who is facing calls from within his own party not to seek a fourth term, has endured mounting criticism over his immigration policies and the negative impact that population growth has had on housing affordability.
He said his government will reduce the number of immigrants Canada brings in over the next three years, and that this will freeze population growth over the next two years. Canada reached 41 million people in April. The population was 37.5 million in 2019.
Trudeau said Canada needs to stabilize its population growth to allow all levels of government to make necessary changes to health care, housing and social services so that it can accommodate more people in the future.
Immigration Minister Marc Miller said the lower immigration numbers will help with the country's housing shortage.
He also acknowledged the change in public opinion about immigration.
“That volume that we have put forward is of concern,” Miller said.
Miller said the government sees the pressures facing Canadians, and that it must must adapt its policies accordingly. He said government leaders have listened and will continue to protect the integrity of the immigration system and grow Canada's population responsibly.
“We are an open country, but not everyone can come to this country,” he said, noting that Canada will continue to welcome outsiders and that the government's immigration targets remain ambitious.
Trudeau's government has long touted Canada's immigration policy and how Canada is better than peer countries in welcoming newcomers and integrating them into the economy.
Pierre Poilievre, the leader of the opposition Conservative Party, accused Trudeau of destroying the national consensus on immigration.
“He has destroyed our immigration system through his own personal incompetence and destroyed 150 years of common sense consensus with the Liberals and Conservatives on that subject," Poilievre said.
“He cannot fix what he broke on immigration and housing or anything else because he is busy fighting his own caucus,” he added.
Poilievre was referring to calls by some lawmakers from Trudeau's own party to not run for a fourth term. Those calls represent one of the biggest tests of Trudeau's political career, but he said Thursday that he intends to stay on through the next election.
Nelson Wiseman, professor emeritus of political science at the University of Toronto, said the Trudeau government messed up badly on immigration.
"The government’s logic — to grow the economy and sustain an aging Canadian population by bringing in more young immigrants — was sound. But Ottawa has little control over meeting the housing, health, education, and other welfare needs of residents, whether they are citizens or immigrants,” Wiseman said.
"These are all provincial government responsibilities, and there was little cooperation or coordination between the two levels of government," he said.
A certain percentage of Canadians have always been xenophobic, but much less so than in some other countries, Wiseman said.
“Many Canadians have turned against the recent growing immigrant and temporary worker/student influx because of the growing housing, health, education, and other welfare challenges. Ottawa has read the polls and is responding according," he said.

Happy 28th birthday to this iconic moment in Canadian history!!
On February 15th, 1996, former Canadian prime minister, Jean Chrétien created this could-be meme format by putting a protester in a chokehold. The photo of the event became known by many Canadians as the Shawinigan Handshake; a joke about the prime minister’s home town.
Now, this dude bred controversy man. Like any politician, you go to the controversy page of his Wikipedia page and all of them have full articles associated with them. This controversy, while having its own Wikipedia page, is barely even a controversy compared to everything else. In fact, the now 90-year-old man allegedly will still take photos reenacting the event. Notable examples being comedian Rick Mercer and current prime minister Justin Trudeau. There’s a Shawinigan microbrewery that has a beer depicting the event on the label. The label uses the likenesses of Chrétien and hockey commentator and fellow controversy-machine: Don Cherry.
So where did this come from? Why did the prime minister of Canada have this protester in a chokehold? Well, this may come as a shock, but Canada has only ever had two political assassinations: D’rcy McGee, 1868 and Pierre LaPorte, 1970. However that has not stopped people from trying.
Three months before the infamous Shawinigan Handshake photo was taken on Flag Day, Jean Chrétien survived an assassination attempt. Much like the president of the US, the PM resides in a publicly known address: 24 Sussex Street in Ottawa. A separatist snuck into the house in the early morning with a knife with the intention to slit Chrétien’s throat. The attack was narrowly missed due to (allegedly) the random chance of Chrétien’s wife Aline being up and spotting him.
So my man is tormented by the traumatic experience of almost getting killed in his sleep both by his own brain and the opposition. Needless to say, he’s a little on edge as he’s at this Flag Day ceremony, even more so when his security detail seemingly breaks up. Then, BAM! A protester is in his face. Having grown up a bit of a scrapper and having assassination on his mind, the PM (around 60 at the time) takes the guy in a chokehold, and the rest is history.
On a quick aside, four years later, Chrétien was pie’d by a protester and, this part seems relatively unclear, but it seems he had a trauma response to it. For whatever reason, the opposition decided this was fair game to bring up in the House of Commons. and one Tory MP was quoted as saying “next time it may not be a pie” which was interesting phrasing. However, this wasn’t new as they felt it was appropriate to make an ableist attack ad in 1993. The ad was regarding the appearance of his mouth, a result of a condition called Bell’s Palsy but that’s another story.
Anyway, thanks for tuning into Heritage Minutes with Goon! A show all about the funny and fact of modern Canadian politics and culture. Tune in next time to learn about the beginnings of Definitely Not The Opera: a tale of a nation hating opera so much that they fucking killed it.
PS Tumblr sucks and isn’t letting me add links so I’ll RB with sources in just a second. Hilariously I’m not embellishing this much at all.

A website at the heart of an international Russian disinformation operation has produced more than a dozen articles about Canadian politics in an apparent attempt to undermine support for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and boost his chief rival, Pierre Poilievre. The website Reliable Recent News has been identified by officials in Europe and the U.S. as a repository for pro-Kremlin articles that are distributed through a network of affiliated sites disguised to appear as legitimate news outlets. Earlier this month, U.S. authorities seized a domain that hosted Reliable Recent News (RRN), though it continues to operate on another domain. In an affidavit, authorities describe RRN as a tool to "further the malign influence campaign" waged by Russia in support of its invasion of Ukraine.

there's apparently a conspiracy theory up here in canada that our current prime minister, justin trudeau, is actually the son of fidel castro and not his father, former prime minister pierre elliot-trudeau, who was apparently i guess friends with castro and i guess the theory is that his wife cheated on him or something idk the specifics i just remember hearing about it in passing because one of the supporting arguments is that justin has brown nipples instead of pink white guy nipples, i guess. anyway i was reminded of this bc you put some photographs of castro on my dashboard and i was like 90% asleep and for half a god damn moment i was like, when did trudeau have that much beard. so i guess they do kind of look similar
ive heard of this theory actually! i find it very funny, and while i do want to see trudeau thrown in a woodchipper its fun to have canadians tell me their urban tales
#i personally think the only resemblance is maybe the face shape and the small eyes#fidel is much hunkier obviously#ask#beetleboo
