your gorgeous, handsome, hoy, pretty, socially awkward boyfriend was a Fae, when you first started dating he asked you how much you knew about the Fae, you told him the stories and myths, about how the Fae are mischievous, and lots of times evil, stealing names and lives, he was shocked, and he told you about real Fae culture, he was mostly telling you about holidays, celebrations, and way of life, he conveniently forgot to mention the fact that biting (a common form of cute aggression and a love language) was a proposal of marriage in Fae tradition.

You burst into your boyfriends room, slamming the door shut behind you, he was sitting a dark green fancy chair reading, he looked up at you and smiled, he set his book down and patted his lap, you sprinted over, jumping and launching yourself at him, the energy was unexpected but he was able to catch you easily, you sat on his lap and hugged him, your face nuzzled into his neck

"are you ok my love? you seem... ecstatic"

you told him about your day and how you saw the cutest cat, and how you wanted to adopt it

"i shall get you a cat if you wish" he responded, a look of determination dawned his features

you laughed at his response, you called him cute before biting on his neck gentlely

he stopped breathing for a moment, looking at you in shock "is that all i had to do? offer to get you a cat? we've been together for a a little less than a year, are you sure? im exited, i truly am, but i feel it is to early on for us to marry"

you looked up at him confussed and asked what he was talking about

"r-remember? when i told you about our fae traditions? biting is a proposal?- oh i didnt tell you that part?" he chuckles softly, he brushes your hair back and kisses your forehead softly "sorry you dear, i got the wrong idea about your intentions, but... even so, don't be suprised if i bite you back on day"

Sebek:

you were in the ramshackle dorm, reading a book you had borrowed from the library, you didn't realize at the time but it was due yesterday, meaning you had an overdue library book, and your boyfriend, for some reason, liked to memorize the due date of your books, homework, assignments, etc. so he could make sure you got everything done on time.

there was a firm knock on the door, you called for them to enter and Sebek walked in, he looked at the book in your hands before frowning at you

"wasn't that book due yesterday" he asked, crossing his arms stepping closer to you

"was it?" you responded checking the stamp at the front "hm well damn, it was" you laughed slighly at your mistake

Sebek however, didnt find this funny, he snatched your book away turning around "im returning this"

"im not done reading it though" you jumped onto his back and reached for the book, he stumbled a bit before regaining his balance, he extanded his arm, furthering the book from your grasp, you bit down on his shoulder.

he spun around, forget you were on his back and not on the ground, causing you to almost get flung off, you instintuly bit diown harder, drawing a slight whimper from Sebek "y-y/n, i-i cant, we are so young, a-and you havent met my family, andiloveyoubutimnotreadyformarriage (i love you but im not ready for marriage)

you let go of him, looking at him confused "tf you mean marriage? are you high?"

"y-you bite me! for the Fae's thats a proposal"

"...oh"

"..."

"you aren't a Fae though?"

"oh.... right"

"DID YOU FORGET?" you burst out laughing

Lilia:

he assumed you didn't know Fae customs, your a human from another world, however, when he felt you teeth scrape against his neck he forgot all of that, he was on one knee in a fucking instant

"you want to marry me hmm? you young people and your forwardness" he seemed calm on the outside, but on the inside he was melting, he loved you more than words could ever describe,. when he saw you confused expression his heart sank, his smirk wavered for a moment before returning, weaker than before,

"ah I suppose you dont know, for Fae, you just asked me to marry you" he watched as your face heated up, flushing with red, he patted your head as you apologized for the mix up. he grabbed your hand, pulling you closer to him and placing his lips on your neck, he kissed you softly, before opening his mouth and pressing his small, but sharp fangs against your skin, he bit down, not hard enough to draw blood but enough to make you flinch

"wether you say yes or not is up to you, but the offer is always there" before you could say anything he was gone

anyway in other news

today was pretty decent - ben got a case of the sads at about 9pm but actually recovered p fast and without any crying that i saw but he was in the bath for a bunch of the evening so i cannot verify this. the sad attacks are definitely getting more spread out + (i think from an outsider perspective) less intense. i genuinely think as well that we hadn't had sex in ages (ofc the week ana was away my period started so we didnt really bother) which made us both kind of :(

we had sex :) + read to each other. ben asked if we could do more reading out loud to each other at bedtime bc he really liked our matsuo basho reading. i liked it as well - i think i focused much better on teh words than i usually do - so ben picked a shortlist of books to read next (i haven't read a book in like 10y so there's no point me picking one) + i picked one from that + anyway we're reading "this is how you lose the time war" and im reading all of red's bits + he's doing blue. ill be honest... not fully sure about teh writing style... ben used the word florid as a compliment + i would use the same word, but as an insult lol. (very very representative of our characters i think) some of the sentences i really like but so far i cant feel much of a difference btwn red + blue - like if one of them wrote very floridly + one of them wrote very starkly i feel i'd appreciate that more bc you would be getting some insight into the characters but as it stands, the entire thing feels a bit like a creative writing exercise to me. we're not that far in tho so maybe it will capture me more as we go i should send ben some of my fanfic (look it's just a hobby) + see what he thinks lol

HOWEVER this film was just crazy in its ... nothingness?? it was a perfectly fine watch i guess if you're looking for a princess diaries-y gay romance + god knows there are enough sugary romance films about straight people and those cut from the rainbow cloth also deserve their fair share of merry dross but yeah i was just surprised!! idk

week one hundred and eight

its december already.

l joined mikumåndag on monday. thats so fun!! he seemed excited ab it and thought a lot ab what song to add and it ended up being a winner. ns started picking winners each week so im sure it feels good to be the first one. it was reflection by balance and composure. my pick for the week was the clay pigeons cover by michael cera and although it wasnt one of the winners, n said she thought it was cute and added it to a pl so i still feel like a winner hihi.

the local high school was hosting a little second-hand evening so me and l went to that. we didnt find anything but i tried on a ragged sweater that a was selling but it was a tad bit tight around the neck and also just too expensive for me to just casually get it, yk?

on tuesday i had class and afterwards i went to go look for a top. ive been wanting just like, a basic white and a basic black top to serve slutty 2000s emo in. i got a push-up bra as well so im serving hard. l was helping me in picking a top bc i didnt know whether i should get it or not bc of how long it was so when i wore it cropped it was so scrunched up. i ended up getting them and im loving them so far. it was so funny as well bc the dressing room was so dark so like i had to take pics with my front camera w front camera flash on and it had to be a proper close-up so hed even be able to tell that it was scrunched up so it ended up being a super seductive pic TT i did tell him before hand like "yea uh i could take a pic but just so yk the angles gonna be a bit,,, interesting," and his immediate reaction was "send a pic," "now," "NOW," ":)." it was funny. hes so cute. he does that quite a lot like just repeating words in that way when he wants something. its cute.

wednesday was quiz. i got there before everyone else which was a bit humiliating but it didnt take too long for a and v to arrive. alsoalso wrapped released on wednesday so i was having a lot of fun watching everyones wrapped. my top artists were paramore, fob, the police, the 1975 and mcr.

on thursday i watched superbad. it was a fun time.

the police cover band was playing on friday so ofc i went. it was fun as usual and theyre so talented! afterwards me and l got food and l slept over.

saturday morning me and l went to a café for breakfast! i just had coffee and then when i got home i had a sandwich with my mom and her friend, m, who had slept over as well. before me and l had gone to the café, mom told us she had talked w s and d and another guy she didnt remember the name of (it was i) which is so funny. my moms first words were "i talked to the singer of the cover band, he was really attractive!" i mean he is but i was so caught off-guard. she then followed w "s was quite handsome as well!"

i was so bored on the saturday though — after everyone left then. i played some guitar and the usual stuff. did some coloring. ive almost finished my coloring book so i should get a new one soon. i think ill just get one once ive moved bc im sure they have nicer ones in stockholm.

ill end this entry w a thought, to all the people that dont read these entries, i feel like i should change my anonymous naming system. the letters get confusing since ik so many ppl w names starting w the same letter. maybe i should just do like,,, code names of some sort? or maybe just something more simple like bff l and boyf l (although hes not my boyf YET but idk like,,, id prefer boyf l over talking stage l). ill see what i do next week :)

so the reason i haven't been on for the past... two months? is because i gave myself a rule about logging back on. see i had been reading clive barker's books of blood, the first volume, and while i did enjoy it, it was taking a bit so i was like ok. how about im not allowed to open tumblr until i finish this book (and at that point, the last two stories were "sex, death, and starshine" and "in the hills, the cities"). and i procrastinated on finishing it. for TWO MONTHS. but im back now! and im glad i took the time off because i had a great time and it was really helpful for clearing my head of brainrot

for the next week, maybe two weeks, idk maybe less, im just gonna be on like normal, but after that im going to try to finish at least one short story in-between log-ons. so im planning on getting the second volume of books of blood, and then once im done with all of those im moving onto jorge luis borges. hopefully this means my usage will be spaced out enough that i wont get turbo brainrot, and hopefully this will also incentivize me to read more since ive been struggling with that all year. so if i disappear again, dont worry! im just likely just procrastinating and am probably having a great time in the real world. or just on other sites besides this one, lol

STUFF IVE BEEN DOING:

over the period i was absent i managed to get cast in, rehearse for, and then perform a one-act play at my local theater over two weekends! as you can imagine our schedule was pretty tight, but i think we managed to pull it off really well considering everything. ive also been taking some classes that have been super duper interesting and i wont say too much cuz i dont want to dox myself, but i have been learning some rudimentary asl and its very enriching for a poor little boy such as me.

comic books! after exactly a year away i went back to the original joe kelly run of deadpool, and lo and behold it was just as great as people said it was! besides that im making my way through the utterly massive chris claremont run of x-men comics, with the help of some handy omnibuses i've acquired online. be prepared for nightcrawlerposting. i literally started the series because i thought he was cute and im so glad i did. and im also reading doom patrol!!!!!! im nearly done with grant morrison's run (i have like five issues left??? crazy) and then im gonna be moving on to the rachel pollack run, and after that, im skipping right to the gerard way run!

IN THE FUTURE

its october now which means im going to try to watch all the horror movies i didnt last year. and we're also coming up on one year of genocide so i want to be able to help at least somewhat, at least a little bit more than i already have been. ill be making a separate post for this but im planning on opening a few donation commission slots, maybe five, maybe just three. ive been struggling to output anything artwise so i hope drawing something for someone else can make that easier for me.

hello anon!! sorry to answer a day later, but i wanted to finish the drama so i can answer you with my opinion of the whole show.

i don't think there's any tea tbh, idk if you read my previous anon but the thing with the cast i mentioned is simply an issue i have with age gaps in casting in general; not everybody is bothered by it so it's my own personal issue with it rather than any drama involving the cast.

i was a huge semantic error fan and ive been waiting for this drama for more than a year now, but my expectations were never high because sang woo and jae young have a loooooooooong way to go until they actually get together, there's a lot of back and forth and i knew the drama wouldn't be able to go with that kind of storytelling with the limited time they had. i tried to watch it as someone who didn't read the manhwa and i do think the drama holds up on its own, you get the gist of jangchu even with the crazy fast pacing they went with, but one of the things that makes jangchu so good for me is that back and forth, so i was a bit disappointed about the way they structured the timeline, like bro just do a quick montage so we can get some sense of the passage of time, but instead they had jae young say he only pestered sang woo for four days??? like what 😭 it was at least a few weeks till sang woo understood his feelings and came after jae young :/// but besides that the drama is good, i liked the addition of yuna as a recurrent side character, since in the manhwa we only meet her past halfway and only when they are in the studio. i haven't read the book which inspired the manhwa, and they did say they only based the drama on the manhwa, but the france thing,,, idk how i feel about that and idk if that's how it went in the book, bc in the manhwa they just barely got together and s2 ended like 2 weeks ago, but yeah, that little drama in the end wasnt my fave.

ANYWAYS. we are all entitled to our own opinions, im sorry u didnt vibe with the drama, but as someone who already knew and loved those characters, i think the actors' portrayal of them Felt like them and in the end that's what matters, how well they can translate the characters to the show

- travis and connor stoll r way too underrated. the two have been head counselors of the hermes cabin since luke was revealed as a traitor, can u imagine the stress? luke, the person they probably looked up to as a brother, betrayed them. and they didnt even have time to process this when they were  thrown the roles of being hcs. that would have been so stressful and i would probably have broken down if i were them. the stoll brothers taking turns to wake up at ungodly hours because a new camper is crying and homesick and terrified, the stoll brothers having to comfort and take care of new campers, having to deal with the amount of people in that cramped space because not enough campers are being claimed fast enough. having to resolve issues between campers in the hermes cabin all the time. the stolls arent just comedic relief, and we need to stop treating them as such

- annabeth isnt smarter than leo but neither is leo smarter than annabeth. ive seen a lot of discussions about who is smarter and heres my hot take on it: neither. theyre equally smart, just in different ways. leos a genius mathematically speaking. he has no issues solving math problems meant for people much, much older than him. annabeth on the otherhand, is great at strategies etc. she can make an army of 1000 more powerful than the enemy, even if theyre outnumbered. so in my opinion, both are equally as smart//u cant compare their intelligence, because their talents lie in two different areas.

- while i do agree rick riordan isnt a god and that hes bound to make mistakes,, AND that hes given us a lot of representation,, if the representation offends the people its sposed to represent, then theres a problem. im talking about piper as a poc and wearing feathers in her hair. im not a poc, so i cant speak for them on whether or not its wrong, because i dont know either. HOWEVER, i have seen multiple posts BY pocs talking about how they didnt really like rick’s representation of piper, and thats an issue. pocs have been and are still oppressed and discriminated against by many. as a white cis man, we cant really blame him for not knowing (tho he could have done a research,, asked some pocs,, idk), but by representing pocs in that manner, hes influencing impressionable kids/teens into thinking “oh pocs wear feathers in their hair all the time” etc, which isnt true. the pjo/hoo series is extremely successful, and kids who read the books will probably start forming inaccurate opinions on pocs. the amount of fan art that depicts piper with feathers in her hair dont help either. “but rick said so in the books, so its canon” yeah well rick isnt a god and he can get some things wrong at times. im not saying we should cancel him, im saying we should start educating ourselves and not spread false info like pocs wearing feathers in their hair all the time. also that snake song shit where she sang Summertime was just- yeah. bc heres the thing you can be racist, and still include minorities, but portray them in a racist way. And even then, ignorance isn't a thing to admire. Getting those facts wrong still has a major impact. It continues to perpetuate racist stereotypes.

- the fact that most of the strong female characters in the series refuse to be “girly”, and ngl i dont really like that. just because ure girly doesnt mean u cant be strong. 

- piper would have been a great way for him to start making the strong characters act girlier, but instead he went with the “I’m not like other girls” trope which is quite obnoxious to hear constantly, and I don’t think it’s necessarily great for younger girls to read that idea growing up.  the closest we've ever had to a strong female character who was also into "girly" things was Silena. when I was younger I admired Piper's "I'm not like other girls" thing, but then I got older and realized that the whole mentality of "not like other girls" is super obnoxious, and a little bit toxic

the first one being i thought grace was evil since almost the very beginning and now that ive finished it i know that shes not evil shes just a Terrible person and i know the next book wont come out for another month at least and then id have to wait however long to find it online because chain of gold has been out for nearly a year and i could only find one place to read it but anyway if they dont get that goddamn bracelet off james within the first few chapters i will Lose my mind do you know how infuriating it is do you know how infuriating it is to see the merry thieves and lucie and cordelia think that james doesnt actually love cordelia and is just saving her from being ruined and whatever when hes actually hopelessly in love with her but that fucking bracelet is a bitch and so is grace and i Know her adoptive mother was mean to her and never let her train like a proper shadowhunter and she was oh so lonely in the great big house but I DONT CARE she has been manipulating james since day one and no one has noticed but Maybe magnus and i love magnus and i love matthew and i love that magnus is soft on matthew and that matthew idolizes magnus and its been hinted at like half the book that matthew likes cordelia but the other half hinted that he liked lucie and lucie and james know this apparently and have spoken about it like several times but lucie doesnt like his drinking which is fair but hes always drinking and i dont quite get it like ik he murdered someone or smth but it said he didnt know them so idk why hes so distraught over it i still love him but i dont understand him and on not understanding what was up with thomas like he was really pushing that alistair had changed and he wasnt the boy he used to be at the academy and stuff but when matthew told him the rumor alistair helped spread years ago he was like livid not willing to listen to alistair at all who very obviously regretted it and i know the thieves dont know this but alistair saw the academy as kill or be killed and he chose not to be killed which wasnt a good choice but he didnt see options and i just felt like thomas could understand that if alistair got the chance to explain and im very proud of him for breaking things off with charles charles reminds me of percy weasley in the worst way but i think ali deserves to be happy and i think thomas could be that and i really thought they were getting somewhere and it kinda seemed like a 180 for thomas to see alistair reverted back to that schoolboy also what was that thing about his tattoo when alistair saw it was as if he couldnt bare to look at thomas and i dont get that i also dont get why he didnt want lucie to see when it was first described to us i thought it would be obviously related to alistair which is why he couldnt stand to look at him bc ali was still mixed up with charles but it was literally just a compass rose and ali isnt a blackthorn so like rose-thorn theres none of that going on and it wasnt obviously related to anyone so it wasnt smth lucie could pick up on and like out or smth i dont know i didnt get that also why would sona and elias name their child alistair when their last name is carstairs i feel like thats a bit cruel i mean no wonder he was bullied at the academy hes Stair Stairs its worse than naming your son thomas when his last name is thompson and worse than naming your daughter ashley when her last name is cashley (both of these are unfortunately the actual names of real people i know) and im sure i had other things to say but my mothers been calling me to dinner for the last several minutes so if i think of anything ill reblog with more

a summary of the whole contrapoints thing from someone who has been spending most of her time on twitter and seen it first-hand throughout

please dont try to start an argument on this post, im just summarising whats happened. ive already argued myself out over on my twitter and whatever point youre trying to make has literally already been said 20 times before.

Basically in late august/september natalie said some inflammatory shit about pronouns and nbs and “binary transes” which she’d said stuff along the lines of in the past. both nb and binary trans folks have criticised her lightly for this kind of attitude in the past as well. she has a pattern of behaviour (including being very...lenient towards terfs) but the stuff she was saying and the bad takes were tolerable, if incorrect and a little ignorant. what she said this time was basically “asking for pronouns in trans spaces is good i guess but it hurts passing/semi-passing transes like me” which is a take that makes no goddamn sense and is extremely ignorant towards both nb folks and trans folks who do not have the luxury of even trying to pass. she exaggerates the actual effect it has on her as well. basically the entire tweet reads really badly (the discussion was about asking for pronouns in trans spaces):

peter coffin made some batshit crazy takes (as usual) including inventing the term “enby cultural capital” which he refused to actually evaluate on past asking people to read a book (if you cant clarify your point on your own then you have an issue). he started tweeting like a madman and making it painfully clear how hard he will go to bats for natalie despite him being nb himself (many people joked/suspected  that its because he wants to fuck her, same with philosophytube, and honestly looking at how they see her that isnt hard to believe).

natalie went off twitter for a while, eventually leaving an apology that was actually alright and made me and several others believe she would return a little more understanding of trans intra-community issues, especially in terms of class because she has always had an issue with ignorance from that angle. she said she had a friend called gwen taking over (nobody knows who this is nor had they ever heard of this friend, leaving some people suspicious that she may have made her up. im not going to confirm or deny this because i have no clue.)

idk what peter coffin was up to because at this point i and most ppl had officially stopped listening to him but i believe he was angrily tweeting about cancel culture. a lot of people were as well, even though the bulk of the criticisms of natalie had been written and expressed in a mature, appropriate way. some of my twitter mutuals who had been involved in discussing natalie’s past trends with these issues as well as her lack of class consciousness and (probably) accidental antisemitism began to get messages from what was very clearly alt-right trolls trying to doxx natalie. it was real information, which is extremely concerning, but no person published it and her criticisers that got those dms were vocal about not bullying or doxxing natalie. natalie wasn’t pushed away because of “cancel culture”, and “cancel culture” really isnt a real thing and many contra fans believed this too until she came under criticism, which highlights a pretty weird mentality but whatever.

anyway, she came back this week with a new video titled “opulence” which i dont care for watching so i just read about it from my twitter mutuals who did. since i didnt watch it ill only summarise its criticisms very basically. 

to put it simply the main criticisms of the video were that she conflated trans aesthetic with literal opulence and class again, which people weren’t a fan of. she talked about her experience over the last few weeks, spinning it her way because how else would she spin it, thats to be expected. it was mostly just the usual contra, flawed takes and a bit of class ignorance...except for one blaring massive issue which is absolutely undeniable proof for where she’s heading with her politics and her content.

on that video, natalie invited infamous transmed, the guy who outed lana wachowski for money, buck angel, to collab with her. this guy is infamous in the trans community for being a cis bootlicking bigot. he makes kalvin garrah look like a lovely guy. he’s been around for a very long time and he’s very famous for being a massive asshole. heres just a taste of the kind of attitude he carries:

contra has previously spoken up about why you shouldn’t platform bigots. so her platforming a bigot has some very very obvious implications.

needless to say, people were and are pretty mad and very disappointed. a large majority of her fans have been against this.

 when oliver (philosophytube) promoted the video on his twitter many replies to his quote tweet were his fans begging him to be even mildly critical of contra. 

on contra’s subreddit (for clarification, natalie isnt a mod there and im not sure about how involved she is on the sub) there was even a thread created in which MANY of her fans on there expressed criticism of contra’s views. the mods then locked the post, deleted comments, and banned the use of the word “truscum” because it was offensive i guess? it was a move very close to “terf is a slur” territory

furthermore, some pretty infamous transphobes have been in support of her and buck angel in the past, including ian miles cheong which is...wow. some of these are scs from a twitter mutual, but the ones with red names are from me - i have the shinigami eyes extension, so basically any person with a red name is a known transphobe (im surprised buck isnt marked yet lol).
