I love my hc of Almaren/Valinor Ossë & Mairon's friendship because they're the best example of These 2 people have no business being BFF they're polar opposite and for some reason are close friends. Ossë is everything but control and order, Mairon is so not into chaos for the sake of it nor into loud dramatics, yet both of them feel limited under the Valar, both of them were opposed to the coming of the Elves to Aman, both of them fell for Melkor's swag, both of them are extremely powerful (early concept Ossë was a Vala and therefore still is in my 💙 – and in my verse Mairon should have been the Vala of fire but choir rehearsal went badly).
