The Complete Guide to Eye Colour In Resident Evil 7
An addendum to my guide to eye colour in RE8: here's everyone from RE7 too! Getting close-ups of these was way harder than for RE8, because RE7 does not come with a model viewer, so I'm stuck using in-game screenshots and promotional images.
Once again, we'll start with the cheat-sheet version:
The whole Baker family: Blue (except when...) Mia: Brown (FOR NOW) Eveline: Green Alan: Hazel/green Deputy OneSceneWonder: Brown Chris: Hazel/brown (FOR NOW) Clancy, Andre and Peter: Brown Ethan: Still hazel
But it can never just be that simple, can it? So, further notes below.
The Baker Family
The Baker family all have blue-grey eyes. In fact, post-infection, they all have the exact same blue eyes (see top line in comparisons below). You could maybe put this down to genetics for Zoe and Lucas, but when Jack and Marguerite have the same eyes as each other too, that's when you start wondering just how many backwater-hillbilly-stereotypes are in play here.
Mind you, they do have slightly different eyes in the pre-mould flashback that is the Daughters DLC, which you can see in the second row above. All are brighter blues, pre-infection, and Jack gets smaller pupils while Lucas gets a slightly larger iris (Zoe gets nothing, as she's the viewpoint PC and we're not redoing her face if you're not going to see it). So maybe we can hope there's some genetic diversity in the Baker-clan (renders of their eyes in their actual faces also look a little more distinct, but maybe that's a lighting thing). Either way, the Bakers = blue eyes! Got it!
And then we meet Uncle Joe in the other DLC who... has hazel eyes?
IDEK, maybe Uncle Joe's real dad was a different mailman.
Once we get deeper into mould-monster territory though, things do get a little more interesting.
Both Marguerite and Lucas appear with much creepier whitened eyes later in the game ‒ Marguerite's during her boss-fight transformation. Lucas, however, remains steadfastly human-shaped throughout the main campaign, but his eyes are whitened in his video message to Ethan, and in his (pre-monstrous transformation) DLC appearances too. Jack, by contrast, doesn't seem to get new eye textures even after blowing off the top of his own head, or in the boss fight that follows (monster!Jack from the fight in the boat house has completely different eyes, of course, and more of them). Mia, too, has her own set of creepy-alternate-mould-monster-eyes, but they're completely different again.
So what's the internal logic here? I could speculate that Lucas' eyes-only transformation is a sign he's in control of himself in a way Jack and Marguerite aren't, but it doesn't quite add up. If anything, those eyes make more sense as something Lucas was given because we never see him transform like Marguerite, or blow pieces of himself away like Jack: Lucas may look human, but the eyes are there to remind us he's not. There'll always be some details that end up being more about effective storytelling than cohesive lore.
Interestingly, though they don't appear in the game, there are also promotional pics of all four members of the Baker family with glowing white/silver eyes, which are definitely a supernatural feature. It's tempting to try and associate the effect with Rose's glowing eyes from the Shadows of Rose DLC, or perhaps even the general pale-grey-eyes of Miranda and the Lords (more on both in my post on eyes in RE8). But that's territory that really needs its own post or we'll be here all day.
Clancy, Andre and Peter
These are the three ill-fated crew of the Sewer Gators tape you'll encounter early in the game. You may notice Peter (rightmost in the pic above) seems to have even more dilated pupils than the majority of the cast. Amusing as it might be to theorise that he's just on drugs or something, I think there is an explanation: the closest shot we see of his face (and the first shot of the tape) is a close-up into a camera while the team is outside in the dark. His pupils would naturally be dilated in this sort of environment.
So why aren't Andre's dilated too? Well, the closest look we get at his eyes (also pictured) are the final shot of the tape, where he's already dead, and his eyes are covered by a red film. Medical plausibility aside, dilated pupils presumably didn't add to the effect here, so Andre gets regular pupils.
Speaking of assets, there is actually one photo of the three of them in the game, from the pamphlet you can find in their van at the start. You can even almost make out Clancy's face!
Clancy's own eyes are their whole own kettle of worms, but we'll get to that below.
Chris Redfield
Is an odd one: I can't share an eye-texture asset for Chris, because he doesn't actually have a character model at all in the main RE7 title. And explaining that one is gonna take some context.
While RE8 renders nearly all cutscenes using in-game models, RE7 stores far more of its major cutscenes pre-rendered in .wmv format. The opening is pre-rendered, video messages from Mia and Lucas are pre-rendered ‒ even the big moment when Eveline blows out the windows of the tanker and throws Mia into the river is pre-rendered. Not all cutscenes work this way, but basically anything that would require loading a lot of assets that aren't needed in gameplay (eg. the view of the river and tanker for outside) seems to have been pre-rendered as a video instead.
And since Chris' only scene in all of RE7 is in the pre-rendered ending sequence, he doesn't have a model at all (or at least, I couldn't find it). We do see Chris in openings and endings of the Not a Hero DLC as well, and the End of Zoe ‒ but these too are just .wmv files, presumably for all the same reasons.
Now, obviously, Chris is also playable in the DLC, so he does have a character model there. But we still don't get eye textures for him for a couple of reasons: firstly, he wears a face-concealing mask that only comes off for opening/ending cutscenes. But even without it, we might just hit other weirdness surrounding player character models...
As I've already noted, both Chris and Mia get completely different new blue eyes in RE8, but back in RE7, Capcom seemed a little more aware that brown or hazel eyes were a real thing regular white people do have sometimes.
A note on player-character models
Although we mostly just see the hands of whoever we're playing as (usually Ethan), gameplay still uses a full-body model, presumably to aid in rendering dynamic shadows, and give enemies something to cover in blood. Things get weird around the character's head, which isn't actually visible so it can't get in the way of the camera floating inside it, but will still cast shadows and still has textures associated with it (though usually in much lower resolution than other models we'll actually get to see). There are three playable characters in RE7 proper: Ethan, Mia, and Clancy (from the video tapes) ‒ each with their own model and textures.
Ethan and Mia also have more detailed 3rd person models, since we see plenty of Mia playing as Ethan, and a little of Ethan playing as Mia (if only from behind).
Why does this matter? Well, distinct as the three PCs are otherwise, their player models all have the same eyes ‒ top row above shows Ethan, Mia and Clancy, in that order. And they look nothing like Ethan's and Mia's eyes have ever looked elsewhere, which you can see in the comparison below.
I mention this mostly because it's pretty easy to find Ethan's player-model in the game files, note those generic-hazel eye textures with it, and go, "hey, you got his eyes wrong!" But these aren't the same eyes that come with his higher-res texture, or the ones that were copied over into RE8. In fact, the existence of the player-character-default-eye-texture back in RE7 is one of the reasons why I do tend to take full-res Ethan's eyes as 'canon', even though we never see them in either game: someone took the time to repaint Ethan's eyes for his full-res model, and make them distinct from the low-res default used for everyone in 1st person mode. That at least suggests there was some real, intentional effort put into deciding what colour eyes Ethan was supposed to have.
This does leave poor Clancy in more ambiguous territory, however: as he's never seen by any other character, he has no high-res model, and thus no eyes but the default-hazel that Mia and Ethan are rendered with in that mode too. So is this to be taken as Clancy's official eye colour? It may as well be, I suppose. We see so little of Clancy in any form that I was genuinely surprised to find out his he's actually got a player model which is completely distinct from anyone else in the game, with curly greying hair, a neckbeard, and a baseball cap worn backwards.
Render by nightsatkendalls over on deviantart.
I do not have the skills to produce a render of this quality myself, but I can tell you that the cap he's wearing has the logo for the RE Engine on the front (the in-house game engine behind all the modern RE titles, and many other Capcom games).
You'll never see it in game, of course ‒ you'd need both a freecam mod and a mod to make his head visible. But it's there as a weird little easter-egg nonetheless.
Eveline
Eveline is perhaps the only character whose model may not have been updated at all for RE8, but given she's only a hallucination or ghost, that stands to reason. In RE7 though, she also appears as her aged 'grandma' self, who pops up around the house in her wheelchair looking spacey. Grandma-Eveline has two different eye texture assets ‒ one far more washed out than the other. There's next to no good official pictures of her, but fortunately, since she doesn't move around or attack you, she was one of the very few characters I was able to get a decent close-up shot off with the free camera mod. And inasmuch as you're ever in a position to look her in the eye in game, only the faded version of her eyes ever seems to show up. Is the clearer version actually used somewhere I didn't catch? I have no idea.
What really stands out about granny-Eveline's eyes, though, is that they don't look anything like her child-self's eyes do. Child-Eveline is basically the only character in either game with distinctly green eyes. But Granny's are hazel, and not even a particularly similar shade of hazel.
In fact, they look far more like the generic-default hazel of the player character textures than they do like her younger self. Close-up comparisons below.
You could speculate that it was deliberate that Granny-Eveline's eyes don't look anything like kid-Eveline's eyes to avoid tipping off the player that they're one and the same ‒ but realistically, no-one without free camera mods is ever going to get a good enough look at either of them to notice. And it's kind of a shame they didn't just take young-Eveline's eyes and apply the same kind of distortions they seem to have applied to the generic-hazel template to age them up ‒ that would've been a lovely, creepy little detail to find in these textures. But no, generic old hazel it is.
Then again, whatever the real logic at play, the fact Granny-Eveline's eyes are effectively a faded, distorted version of the very same eyes the player themselves never does get to see in the mirror is a pretty creepy idea itself. And intentional or not, that's what I've got to leave you with.

Things I wish people would remember
Ethan suspected Mia of something before the events of seven and called her on it "i did lie to you I shouldn't have" and "you were always watching me why? what are you hiding Ethan what don't you want me to know?"
Eveline's sales pitch (ignoring Miranda's roll in this for the minute) is to end all wars as stated in the R&D Report One found in the salt mine "develop a bioweapon for neutralizing combatants en masse with minimal direct contact..."
Alan's actions be it him getting in the way or whatever is why Evie got out in the first place and Mia was sent to chase her down after a unknown amount of time (suggestion if Mia was a scientist would her priority be to subdue Evie or make sure Alan is okay?)
Mia was in the cell we find her in from Nov 2015 for being violent (Evie getting out was October 2014)
Mia tried to warn the bakers indirectly because Evie had infected her and would have stopped her in some way- Mia is the reason Zoe knows about the basic serum
Mia gave up all information she had on the connections for a reduced sentence (i will die mad that the Baker Incident Report isn't part of the base game for village and you know how bare bones it is- side note in the side note: I love how even after talking to Mia they still don't know much about the connections it's almost as if Mia is low down on the food chain weird)
Mia called Evie a little bitch to distract her from Ethan as he gets away
Mia was surprised that Evie called her mommy
Mia suffered memory loss it is acknowledged by Evie "are you remembering" she is not lying about it
when did Miranda decide that Eveline wasn't Eva how much of Evie thinking her mold as a gift came from the actual cult leader and because Mia treated her with as much kindness as you can to what is essentially a live grenade and you know made the promise that set Evie off and killed everyone on the boat
i really hope that my screaming about that line in go tell aunt rhody "they locked me up and took my soul" is just a fun line and not in anyway Miranda fucking succeeding and rejecting her daughter for not being right (Miranda put a child on a pedestal no vessal will be good enough) as other wise it's two for one special of shittiness

didn't the connections just want Evie as a weapon/ tool to end all wars (I need to check that file in 7) and Miranda wanted a replacement for Eva hence why she decided to dig up her dead daughter and give them tissue samples (high key even if Miranda brought Eva back the poor kid would never ever be good enough Miranda has had 100 odd years of putting the child on a pedestal)
also Alan Droney (Director* douche who transported Evie with Mia... again the connections sent two 2 people to transport Evie without the treatments needed to keep her stable will that ever not be a problem for me and something i don't see other people mentioning at all?) was posing as a father figure to Evie who rejected her and Evie wanted Ethan to be daddy instead of Jack when he turned up which made Jack mad and Ethan has no idea what he's on about and of course rejects her as well
*in game they call him that and Mia is a caretaker
basically I hope Evie finds people in the conciousness of mold who know everything about her whilst not being directly affected by her violence and help her out (mold therapy group is a idea near and dear to my heart)
As far as the Connections go--tl;dr i went and did some research which is why this took a bit to answer, but yeah, it looks like the Connections DID always plan to use Evie... but Miranda didn't just provide mold, she also provided DNA of her daughter for use in Evie's creation. This, combined with the fact that rose is a 'perfect Eveline' and Eveline's name being so close to Miranda's daughter (Eva) are contet clues that Miranda wanted Eveline made so she could do what she tried with rose. Meaning Eveline's original 'true' purpose was to become Miranda's daughter, but she was 'imperfect'. Because of the emphasis on rose being 'perfect' and Eveline being 'imperfect', I think you make a great point about how ultimately, Eva probably wouldn't have been good enough. None of the 4 Lords were, despite all their power, Miranda still made them feel like they weren't enough to please her.
(side note: this whole 'Miranda was working with Connections!!!' feels very like it was decided after the fact/making it up as they go along. But this interpretation makes it make more sense, at least to me.)
iirc (and someone can feel free to correct me), Mia and her partner were posing as Mia's parents specifically to avoid arousing suspicion when they were transporting her. They weren't intended to be actual parental figures to her. But she was a heavily sheltered child, likely lonely, so she wasn't going to understand it was fake.
We know Evie latched onto Mia as a mother figure, I don't know if she latched onto the guy as a father figure, though. She killed that guy because he essentially rejected her, yeah. If she did see him as a father figure, it was not for very long and it was not to the extent she latched onto Mia (which is intentional--you're not really supposed to care about that guy, so Evie likely didn't either). She also let Ethan 'defy' her much longer than she did Alan.
Evie did use Mia to lure Ethan, though. re7 is explicit about that, bc when Mia is lucid, she tells Ethan she didn't send him the video--meaning Evie was controlling her. Evie wanted Ethan as a father figure because her 'mom' should be married to her 'dad'. I don't think she ever saw Jack as a father figure, because he had adult children her 'mother's age, and because those children (Lucas and Zoe) would likely have been rivals for his love. It's easier for her to play house with Mithan as her parents, and the Bakers as extended family.
Infected!Jack was jealous, yeah, because Ethan was essentially going to replace him as the male head of the family, but Infected!Jack is not the real Jack. Those feelings and actions came from the false family hierarchy that Eveline set up, in which she is both the head of the family and the treasured only grand-child (which is why her rapid aging works as such a good twist; a lot of southern families have an old matriarch like that, and many of them also have a darling granddaughter who is adored).
tbh I don't really care what happens to Evie in the mold matrix, it's just upsetting to me that people call a child irredeemable and deserving of death. Like... they can't see Eveline as the tragedy she is. But Lady D and Heisenberg get praised to high heaven.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐄𝐓 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄 - 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝
CHAPTER EXCERPT: Awaiting the transmission in silence, Wesker then brought up an assortment of paperwork and a few pictures along with it, skimming through some of it before pausing. His attention had been caught by a man standing in the back of one of the pictures, a group of scientists, Mia Winters among them, as well as a child. But the man who seemed uncomfortable to be included in the photograph at all, slinking into the background as much as he possibly could, was what his eyes were drawn to immediately. “Well well… Alan Droney.” “Sir?” “I know the man in the background of this picture. Alan Droney. He was one of the contacts I had to The Connections, back in 2000.” Wesker’s voice was quiet, a musing undertone living in it which lacked the quick and no-nonsense sharpness of before. Suddenly, everything started falling into place right before his eyes.
FIC SUMMARY: Death is only the beginning. And as we know, anything in this world that dies has a habit of not staying dead for long. Albert Wesker returns, letting his presence be known to Chris Redfield in Dulvey, Louisiana. And as per usual, he seems to know more than he should be able to. A reluctant cooperation is formed as Chris tries to find out how it is possible that Wesker survived, how he did it and what other secrets the man is still hiding.
𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏: Wesker / Chris 𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐒: Canon-Typical Violence . Post-Canon . pre-game . Post-Game . and some in-between the games . Coming back from the dead . Co-workers to lovers . Enemies to Friends to Lovers . Slow Burn . Gay Sex . death as a disease . delusions of grandeur . ecstasy from knowledge . Emotional Disconnect . emotional underdevelopment . the end as the beginning . destruction as creation . noteworthy genre tags will be added in the process .

Another thing I've noticed about old school Resi fans is they're very territorial? gatekeepery? like when I was following one they had a post that all fans joining from Village should take a test before joining any conversation with them one of the things that made me unfollow them (with the fun side effect of now I can't discuss the games I've watched played) the other was criticising Mia to hell and back but not mentioning Lucas who joined the connections in 2015 and was made head researcher and no mention of motherfucking ALAN DRONEY who in game has the title of director but no Mia is a gaslight (go into the end of zoe tag and that's the first thing i saw someone saying Mia gaslit Ethan for three years and that she was solely to blame for causing the outbreak and that she did nothing to help the Bakers i don't need to say why its bogus right?)
Mia haters are inherently fucking stupid.
But anyways, yeah. Most people in fandoms that are older are like this, unfortunately. Star wars fans insisting you're not a real fan if you like the sequels/joined after the sequels, Marvel fans insisting you're not a real fan if you joined after phase 3, assassin's creed fans insisting you're not a real fan if you enjoy Valhalla or Odyssey, all these instances where some of the best content in a franchise is considered inferior or not real content by the fans who joined when the franchise was full of misogyny, racism, homophobia, etc. I do promise you though, they are the very obnoxious minority. Unfortunately, while most of the fans do enjoy the newer better content, a lot of them don't ever go online, or if they do they're not very active/vocal about their opinions, because of the dipshits who ruin everything by running their mouth. People who gatekeep in fandoms - in general, but especially if it's based on content you've consumed/enjoy - are very common, but very misguided.
#I got into RE after Village bc I was never allowed to interact with horror content when I lived at home. Now I can do what I want#But Village sucked me in and made me consume literally every other piece of RE content and now - surprisingly - Re4 Remake is my favourite#So all that to say I understand you and I'm sorry you've had to experience the idiots#Resident evil#Resident evil village#Resident evil 4 remake#Asks

fuck yeah @plenilune‘s taste rules so hard
okay so first of all everything from Ghost Box Records fucken rules. everything above is true, get into it. each of their artists layers weird sounds and music from sources unexpected, creating haunting ambiences that sound like BBC radio broadcasts from other dimensions, broken timelines. each album - each artist - does different things, but i’ve never encountered a record label that draws everyone together into a seemingly unified whole.
this guy talks about them pretty well. oh i’m shocked that he’s a catholic medievalist. shocking. (what’s his twitter) anyway
i found Ghost Box Records at first via Chanctonbury Rings; Belbury Poly plays folk music under Justin Hopper doing readings from his memoir The Old Weird Albion. the effect is an ethereal journey through the queer* ole parts of england, like a half-remembered audio journey through an Alan Garner novel.
okay. i won’t talk about postrock, although Godspeed! You Black Emperor are incredible because the OP said no big artists
Vokeebokæybgo Lochtyblchvvaii, OTVR.
i hope you like gentle ambient drone music that gradually draws you in until you’re listening to a crackling surreal hellscape that fits perfectly into the soft meats of your brain. you know the parts that hiss and spit and vibrate sharply? this layers over everything else so that all that is left is the sharp peaks and then you feel. good. death² is a standout, but listen to the album all at once.
let’s veer wildly away from avant-garde ambient noise to a chill, poppy folk track
Burden, St Catherine’s Child i am very mad that Zsigmond hasn’t release a whole album from this track. it has three million plays on spotify! it’s on a million billion playlists, including some of the spotify algorithmic ones! it’s about taking up space and human needs and after my son was stillborn i listened to it like fifty times in a row. i want her to make more like it, please and thank you.
okay anyway.
Dungeon Synth right. a weirdo musical genre that emerged in the 90s from black metal, the quickest way to summarise is ‘remember the cool music from 80-90s fantasy video games? yeah, basically’ except that completely fails to summarise it at all. the stuff ranges from glitchy bleeps that bleeds closer to what you’d expect from electronica music, through grinding drone tracks closer to postrock or noise artists, through stuff that closely resembles its black metal father. also ds artists release lots of cassettes which rules
i tend to like the work that trends closer to droney, ambient video game music, but i listen to lots of things. here are some favourite albums!
Old Sorcery, Realms of Magickal Sorrow
Fief, II
Gnoll, Lone Wolf Ep.1: Flight from the Dark (yes this is based on the Lone Wolf books. i am a simple man.)
DEPRESSIVE SILENCE, Mourning
right one more.
Bog Wizard vs Froglord: A Frog in the Bog
a sludge metal concept album about a fucken BOG WIZARD meeting the FROGLORD in a bog. they FIGHT. it kicks arse.
Please please please reblog this and put in the tags your music recommendations. I’m not talking about big artists and bands either— what’s a niche group, band, or artist that you can’t get enough of? What song or album do you enjoy the most? Why?
#i wonder if the guy who wrote that piece is one of rose's exes#i follow him on twitter now and i am honestly shocked i didn't already#i liked this post within a few days of getting back to tumblr so i could write something#and this rambling nonsense is what you get#ps i don't actually listen to that much metal; it's mostly droning ambient stuff or the hauntological things like in ghost box records#spotify gets a lot of flack (and rightfully) but its algorithm really does point me to cool shit on the daily mixes and 'radio based on'#*oh yeah btw not that kind of queer#the other one#sorry

Resident evil 8 headcanons- Karl and Miranda
tw for abuse mention under the cut
You know, i'm genuinely having a hard time imagining Karl actually being able to go through with his revenge. Not because he doesn't WANT to but i feel like the moment he encours any of Miranda's wrath, the poor traumatised man is just going to freeze up. I rewatched the Lords meeting scene and the moment miranda shouts, Karl takes a massive step back, clearly startled. Donna and Moreau don't react (besides looking at miranda) and Alcina's reaction is to move from karl, not farther from miranda.
Read Karl's diary again. Listen to his voice when he says "she took me. took us." And tell me there isn't fear of her in there. She's quite likely the only maternal figure he's ever known and she's spent the better part of the 20th and 21st century mentally, emotionally and physically abusing him. I know plenty of traumatised people who struggle with their anger as a result of their trauma, Karl is no different. he is CLEARLY furious with Miranda and later transfers that anger onto ethan for the perceived slight of getting in his way.
Side note, the fact that he is becoming like miranda, attempting to perpetuate the cycle of abuse onto rose and ethan and yet doesn't see it is very intresting and id love to write more about it. but i'm just here to talk about headcanons for now so ¬¬
We also know that Miranda brainwashed them into serving her. Whos to say she didnt program something into them incase they ever did disobey her? If you want an example of what im talking about elsewhere in the series, look at wesker. An incredibly strong willed character who was still beholden to the programing inflicted on him as a child, right up until the moment he died.
i Understand karls drive to create a metal army. He has hundreds, if not thousands of creatures and even then he's still holding off on his plans until he gets his hands on rose ( or possibly until ethan had said yes but then his hand was forced) but ultimately i dont think it would have made any difference.
firstly, Miranda is able to control the megamycte to incredible ranges. Either she would have disposed of karl as eveline did with Alan Droney (mia's team mate) and turned him into a lycan or she would have decimated his army with those tree like mycelium strands we see in Chris's section. No amount of flesh and metal would have stood up to that. Chris was only able to beat it back with an missile and i didnt see anything even close to that in the factory.
Secondly, Karl himself doesn't seem to know what he wants out of this whole endeavor. i know he says he wants "nothing more than to be free of that bitch" but going about that seems very muddled. At one point he calls himself a freedom fighter, but he only refers to killing her by himself, not for others. He tells ethan he's going to save the village, but then calls the villagers "worthless peons" . He says he wants to rescue rose, but only to use her to kill miranda. Now it would be very easy to say he's just lying, manipulating ethan but its equally possible he's just starting to crack under the pressure. Even his transformation at the end seems nonsensical under this context. Ethan is on his way out of the factory, he wants nothing more to do with karl, so how exacly is ethan "getting in his way?" or more to the point, what does he hope to achieve by transforming? he cant exactly command an army like that, and given that he seems to have stretch his mold out over a wide area, surely it would make it easier for miranda to control him? what does he want out of this? rose? his freedom? the village? to take miranda's place? surely the thought of becoming like her would disgust him, but that seems to be exactly what he's gearing himself up for.
Im rambling now but the core of the matter is, in no scenario i can think of, is Karl able to win against Miranda. Either ethan would beat him to it or his traumatic past would get in the way and Miranda would simply dispose of him.
So why am i teling you all this? well im suffering emotionally at the thought of karl going through so much pain and suffering and effort for his revenge or even just freedom, all for nothing. It didnt matter in the end because even if ethan had said yes, probably the only way Karl ever stood a chance against her, Karl's problems go so much deeper than killing miranda and ultimately he'd never really be free.
thanks for suffering with me im going to go have a little lie down now ;-;
