I wanna talk about something I have mentioned a couple times. Sasuke is a character that by various other characters and by Kishimoto is called by various different Japanese words that imply attractiveness or something preferable, such as beautiful, good-looking, sexy/hot, cool, even cute and pure. No other character has them called this many words as Sasuke. Kishi clearly wrote Sasuke as someone really desirable, to the point some people see traits of how some female characters are often written. It is due to homoeroticism and Kishi’s own bias towards Sasuke.
Tumblr media
Let’s first look at volume 38 which I have always found interesting. It is the volume where Sasuke finally properly comes back to the story and starts to move the plot forward. First we have the cover that people have said looks romantic, like a pair of star-crossed lovers, in which Sasuke is on the front with his shirt open. But that is not all. In the same volume in a matter of few pages we see Sasuke in questionable positions with three different male characters. So Kishimoto just happened to draw Sasuke in these odd positions in a matter of a few days. What is the reason? The reason is simply to imply homoeroticism and Sasuke being desirable in a male-male interaction. It is not even subtle.
Tumblr media
Of course, Kishi doesn’t forget to drop an implication of Naruto desiring Sasuke as well in the very same volume, despite the two not interacting.
Tumblr media
Nor Sasuke’s blunt disinterest in women.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another thing is Sasuke tends to lose his clothes in his fights, is it fanservice or is it self service from Kishimoto? When Kishi talked about designing Sasuke and Sai, he used “kakkoii” for Sasuke’s open shirt and Sai’s open stomach. So looks like kakkoii is his G-rated word for sexy.
Tumblr media
Thank you Karin. It is funny how Kishi sometimes has to make a character say something out loud to make sure people got what he was doing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With Orochimaru it’s most obvious. There’s obvious sexual subtext to Oro’s pursuit of Sasuke’s body.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tobito isn’t much better. Why are the villains around Sasuke like this?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Or even Kabuto. Kabuto kept trolling Naruto for being obsessed with Sasuke and then he does this. Telling Sasuke he wants him to stay by his side (I didn’t bother to look for the panel but it’s when Sasuke and Itachi fight him) and then this... obvious innuendo with his... thing. Even Orochimaru has to make an ironic comment about it like seriously Kishi? You just couldn’t help yourself with that Oro panel?
Do you understand now what I mean? Kishi does this weird stuff with Sasuke all the time. Oh he’s so sensitive and beautiful and pure I must have him, he’s mine.
And here’s a bit of mythology Kishimoto used. During the confrontation between Orochimaru, Itachi and Sasuke Kishimoto used the legend of Kushinada-hime as an influence. Kushinada-hime was the youngest of the eight daughters of Ashinazuchi and Tenazuchi. Kushinada-hime was to be offered as a sacrifice to the eight-headed serpent Yamata-no-Orochi who had a sword inside of him, and who had already devoured seven beautiful maidens, but she was saved by Susanoo, who defeated Yamato-no-Orochi with the Totsuka Sword.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Eight-headed Serpent is obviously Orochimaru in the manga. His eight branches technique and the sword inside of him are clear references to the mythology
Tumblr media
The Totsuka Sword is wielded by Itachi’s Susanoo in the manga and it is what defeats Orochi. Just like in the mythology.
Tumblr media
So who is the princess/goddess/maiden that needs to be saved from Yamata-no-Orochi? Well it is our Sasuke of course. Is it any wonder why people think Sasuke is heroine when Kishimoto writes him like this? He just wants to stress how desirable Sasuke is, but that at the end of the day, he’s Naruto’s...
Tumblr media
(Note: I remember a manga Ranma½ also featured Yamata-no-Orochi, but since it was a comedy manga it was a perverted snake who only liked devouring pretty girls.)

Can I rant a lil in your inbox… sorry I absolutely love Sasuke he’s my favorite character but I’ve never understood why people interpret him as this communist guy. Not that there’s anything wrong with that tbh but I’ve seen people say that Sasuke should’ve succeeded in his plan and been the hokage because he was gonna distribute the power to the people and I’m like…. what?!?!? His entire goal in the end is to do the exact opposite of that. Idk, I love Sasuke and the idea that the shinobi world needed revolution wasn’t wrong, but he was very driven by the trauma of being “weak” to do anything for his family and by seeing his brother go through what he did. I like Sasuke but even his fans misinterpret him sometimes even if it’s not in a negative way
ajsjsjjw dw you’re safe here
the thing is, i can understand why sasuke is the voice of reason for many reason but more specifically because 1) sasuke is ultimately one of the few characters that sees there’s something wrong with the shinobi system itself in a media where 99% of characters are blind. 2) the villanization of victims of genocide is just infuriating (see cases like jet and hama from atla). and while yes i argue sasuke is made more sympathetic people like to admit, he’s still framed as if being in the side that questions the status quo is wrong because kishimoto’s nationalist propaganda. thus i get why ppl go “sasuke was right” because he was.
but also i also agree sasuke being a communist/anarchist/the “right” choice is just. projection. because if you actually read his goals and the way he’s written, he’s none of those and i like that! personally it makes him more interesting to me. he’s flawed and so are his politics and it makes sense when you look at his background and his character growth, he’s very consistent but still manages to change in a way that makes sense in a manga where 90% of the cast stays in just one box. his ultimate goals make me crazy because it’s literally once again all about itachi and honoring his wishes even if it’s through different methods so it’s really funny when ppl that hate itachi and his goals want sasuke’s vote2 goals to succeed when he’s following itachi’s will in a way. sasuke has been defined for his relationship with itachi from beginning to end. but whatever. yes, many sasuke stans on this app mischaracterize him as well because they project their own politics to him yet complain about others like shippers mischaracterizing him (which if u look at my blog i also agree) so it’s hard to find ppl that actually like canon sasuke to talk imo

Hello,
As someone who’s recently delved into the anime community, I’ve noticed a profound connection many fans have with characters like Itachi and Sasuke. Their stories are undeniably tragic, and it’s clear they hold a special place in the hearts of many.
I’m curious about the depth of affection and empathy for these characters, considering they are fictional. What is it about their journeys that resonates so deeply with you? Is it not challenging to experience heartache over their struggles and sacrifices on a daily basis?
From my perspective, anime is a source of enjoyment and escapism. While I understand the impact of these characters, I wonder if focusing on their sorrow might overshadow the joy and adventure that new anime series can bring.
Itachi’s tale has concluded, and Sasuke’s safety is assured within the narrative. Wouldn’t exploring new stories potentially enrich our lives with diverse experiences and emotions?
I hope this question comes across as sincere and not dismissive of your feelings. I’m genuinely interested in understanding the emotional bonds fans create with these characters.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Any piece of media that explores emotions and emotional bonds between characters is likely to click with a lot of people and leave profound impact on them. I'm not into anime or TV in general either, so I haven't seen many shows except for a handful few I can count on the fingers of my one hand.
To me, personally, while both Itachi and Sasuke are special because they're well written, there's also a kind of relatablity factor.
Sasuke grew up being compared to Itachi, no matter how hard he tried he didn't get the acknowledgement he deserved, because his brother was considered better than him. Maybe Itachi was better than him in skills and knowledge, but Sasuke was a different person with a different personality who shouldn't have been compared with Itachi at all. I've been through the same. Being compared with my classmates, friends repeatedly no matter how hard I worked. It just wasn't enough for some reason. It poisons you from inside and leaves you feeling insecure with a lot of sell-esteem issues. We know Sasuke went through them.
It's the same with Itachi. Kids experience different versions of parents. Older kids meet more immature and flawed versions of their moms and dads. The mistakes parents made with them aren't repeated with the second and third-borns. That doesn't mean it doesn't damage the older children who didn't ask to be born and bear the brunt of their parents' traumas. They're older so no they're expected to take the burdens and the responsibility. They kind of become mother and father to their younger siblings but more tender ones.
That's how Itachi and Sasuke's relationship before the massacre was as well as Itachi's relationship with his parents. I find this very relatable. The way he's not allowed to voice his opinions yet he cares about his brother. His ideals aren't really considered relevant, and his feelings don't matter to any adult in his life. That is so, so, so relatable to me. I learned a lot about my relationship with my parents when I watched and analyzed Itachi's with his parents. I learned to forgive my own parents after that. This is getting a little personal, but yeah, it happened. I don't feel as angry and bitter with them as I did before I watched Naruto last year.
Other than that, there are people who watched Naruto and also other anime, and they love these two along with the characters from other anime. I'm just not all that interested in it even though, yes, more stories would mean more entertainment. But I'm not someone who moves on easily from things and people.
Plus, I like the 'flavour' of angst some characters provide. It's hard to explain in the words, but it's like seeing colours. And it doesn't happen with every character I read about or watch. With Itachi, I 'see' red colour, and yes, it's the colour of his susano'o as well, but I'd had this feeling about him before it was introduced. It's like his aura that has some kind of purity to it. It doesn't have anything to do with his morals or how I perceive them, but something else. With Sasuke, it was bluish-purple. Again similar to his susano'o, but I'd had this 'vision' about his aura from the beginning. A character from a show in my country made me think of transparent snowflakes - pure and unblemished, and when his character was ruined, I started to see the 'muddied static' and I lost the connect with him. It never happened with Itachi or Sasuke. I love them both so much.
And I don't think I'm missing out on anything by not watching other anime. They might have other well-written characters that I might fall in love with too, but I love what Sasuke and Itachi make me feel. They're my comfort characters and they're therapeutic to me too, and they both feel very personal to me. Their pain made me feel less lonely. I don't really have friends irl (not the ones I can talk to when I feel alone), okay, this is getting even more personal but yeah so I spend my time either reading or writing. And it's also probably because if you've been depressed for too long, this kind of pain becomes addictive. So I need something to latch on to because I don't want to go to therapy.
This whole answer probably hasn't made any sense, because I don't know.. I tried my best, I swear.

What if Bella ran a very successful yet niche meta account on tumblr with hot takes about various forms of popular media called, TheCarnivorousBellaMeta?
Well.
This wouldn't happen.
The Caveat
First, Bella's canonically bad with computers. This isn't her fault, it's 2005 and personal computers for normal people is only just starting to be a thing. She notes having an ancient computer at Charlie's house that she has little idea how to use and prefers not to use. Otherwise, Bella prefers to read books in her free time as well as get chores like cooking and laundry out of the way.
This is not a girl who's running a blog (especially not tumblr as either tumblr doesn't exist yet or else is in its infancy in this time period, if anything she'd be on LiveJournal).
But let's say Bella is an avid blogger with a LiveJournal account.
What's she posting?
I'm sorry, anon, but her blog is not TheCarnivorousBellaMeta.
I imagine Bella's blog is tasteful quotes from Jane Austen's works, tasteful quotes from people who make her feel intellectual, reblogs of famous paintings she doesn't recognize, and maybe, maybe, dissertations on why Loki is a poor blorbo who never did a wrong thing in his life. (It's the wrong era, but I suspect Bella would be profoundly into Reylo, Loki's Resistance, and maaaaaaybeeee Johnlock).
Point being, her takes would be well worded, but given they're what a thousand other people are staying on the site and prompted by nothing she's probably not that popular.
I imagine there's also a few posts of "today I made enchiladas. They were delicious" as she feels the need to fill her tumblr.
Bella's hot takes are people's normal takes and I would expect her blog to reflect as much.
Alright, We'll Pretend
Let's pretend that Bella's the same person except for some weird reason she's running a blog that feels like it's being run by an alien (because to Bella it is).
The beginning of Twilight is essentially unaltered as we're assuming Bella is still Bella, she just runs a blog (not sure what her hot takes are, exactly, but we'll not go into that). She goes to Biology, Edward acts weird, Edward leaves, Edward comes back and acts weird, she nearly gets hit by a van, Edward acts weird.
The difference is in the part where Edward has decided he must know everything about her. Given that he's watching her unbeknownst to her, he sees Bella on her ancient computer updating her tumblr blog "TheCarnivorousBellaMeta" with such things as whether or not Itachi really does love his brother or not or whether Snape is Good or Bad (TM).
Edward is fascinated, as he is with all aspects of Bella, and methodically goes through not only every post she's ever written but every public interaction she's had with other anonymous internet denziens.
From this, he's able to more easily narrow in on Bella's likes, dislikes, how she views the world, and how she might view him.
Edward, who is trying to ignore Bella in public, gets a terrible, tempting, awful idea. He makes up an online persona: AlbrechtWithTheWilis (this is an obscure reference to the ballet Giselle, the tragic storyline being one he associates with Bella as, though she doesn't know it, she's being tempted to join the realm of the dead) and starts interacting by giving a very in depth comment making it clear he's read many of Bella's posts and deeply considered them.
Bella's surprised and deeply flattered. While she's a popular niche blog, she doesn't get these kinds of comments often and er she has a lot of posts on a lot of things. Only a lunatic would read through all of them. Bella responds that she's deeply flattered and moves on.
Edward doesn't get the kind of interaction he was looking for as Bella doesn't reach back out to him and instead answers questions like "What if Itachi was a walrus? Would he murder his entire family then?" (The answer, by the way, is yes).
Edward ends up having to ask questions himself, carefully prepared questions based on what he's seen that Bella will both enjoy and will provoke deep thoughts about herself and the world.
To his mounting anger and frustration, he waits weeks, and instead sees five iterations of "What if Itachi had pink hair?", "What if Itachi was actually in love with his brother for real though?", "What if Sasuke was secretly Itachi?", "What if Naruto was a hallucination of Sasuke's?" answered and none of his very insightful questions.
(This is in part because they're too insightful, they require a lot of thought whereas the others do not, because Bella's never heard of the source material Edward's mentioning or else has no hot takes, and because Edward is following his question with five paragraphs of what he thinks and how what he thinks is absolutely the right answer. Clearly expecting hot take Bella to agree with him.
Bella does not.
So, she doesn't answer and feels increasingly weird about this Albrecht guy. Seems kind of like a smug elitist, clearly trying to impress her, doesn't he?)
As it is, he's prompted to read through Naruto to see what the possible draw is, and he can't figure it out as it's weird foreign cartoons to him. Bella doesn't even have Naruto on her shelf! He searches but all he can find are classics, typically English, like Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters, and Dickens.
There is, in fact, no mangas or animes on her shelf despite Bella referencing these materials near constantly.
She clearly knows it intimately, per her blog, but where is the source material she's even drawing from?
Worse, in real life, she gives no indication she has this blog. At first, he thought of this positively. Bella has a +1000 following on her blog but has not allowed it to get to her head or affect her daily life, except it makes him feel like all his efforts to get to know her don't even matter.
Edward starts giving her a shake down in real life, dropping little hints that he knows about her online persona. Bella tries to brush these aside as AH HA HA HA HA, I'M NOT A TOTAL NERD WITH HOT TAKES ON THINGS. "Naruto? What's that?" She gets increasingly disturbed that Edward is... trying to publicly humiliate her? Despite Edward being super hot and mysterious, Bella finds herself less and less interested in him.
You all know how this eventually goes: Bella gets eaten by Edward.

Rant / Naruto and One Piece's protagonists.
I've been reading up analysis on Naruto and Luffy's to see how people perceived both of them as protagonists. Of course, everyone is biased by the fandom they are in, which is fair. But they do always compare both of them and don't think of the context of the story that's being told. And since I am in the mood to ramble about this...thought I would make a post.
Tdlr; Naruto and Luffy are great protagonists for their individuals stories and both are trying to say differents things.
About Naruto :
His childhood ; discriminated against because the Kyubi/Kurama reside inside him and the Tailed Beast injured and killed a lot of the villagers // loved ones of many ninjas and more or less deem Naruto responsible for it because he represents Kyubi, not making a difference between the child and the beast. That's the adults faults. Added to that, he has no family to count on and isn't taken care of by anyone instead. The child is completely isolated from everyone and everything and he doesn't understand why. He makes pranks and stupid jokes to gain attention from people because it's better than to be ignored. The only other kid who he's more or less in the same situation as him is Sasuke.
He grew to learn that he needed to be useful to the village in order to receive love or attention from them so he sets the goal of becoming Hokage. The system he is in partcipated in that mindset, it's very logical that he would end up setting such goals, if you think about it with the context of the worldbuilding and what is valued in it.
(That being The Village and Peace and a world who value sacrifice for the system set in place and put 13 years old kids on missions and create soldiers out of them.)
So, when you think about it, it's only logical that Naruto would grow to value other people's opinion of him a lot. On top of that, the people who have goals that are more individualistic are heavily punished or portrayed as traitors by the narrative. (Which could be related to the fact that Japan is a country that favor's the community more than the individual goals / well-being of its people. It makes sense that it's translated in what mangaka write about.) Think of Sasuke. He wasn't looking for a way to destroy the village at the beginning, just a way to kill Itachi which wasn't even related to village business and was his personal goal. Yet he was called a deserter for not serving the village. Why would Naruto try to go against the system?
That's the question I asked earlier and I have some thoughts on the matter. The thing is, Naruto is earnest, it's a big quality as much as it is a flaw. That's what permitted him to empathize with a lot of the villains he encountered during the manga but it's also what stopped him from getting back at the village for their mistreatment ; he wants to be loved above all else. I mean, it's not the title of Hokage he wants, it's the love and respect that comes from it.
He's clearly a product of his environnment. He can't change the system because the narrative created by Kishimoto never gave him the occasion to completely dismantle it but it did gave him the tools to question it. Throughout the series, he's confronted by people who are victims of the system of the manga and he does promise to change things later on. But he doesn't even realize that he is as much of a victim as they are and he can't fulfill his promises.
But that doesn't mean he's not a likable or a bad protagonist because of it. I would say it makes him compelling and interesting. It's just that shonen fans want more simplicity (and I would argue that simplicity doesn't equate to badly written protagonist or even less complex protagonists) in their protagonists, someone who inspires them to be better version of themselves. They want a story about hope.
Naruto is partly that. It is about hope, but in a more grounded, realistic way. It's hope about changing things little by little, with each step you take. Naruto (the series as much as the character) is not doomed to eternal sadness or happiness. He's just there and try do things with the tools at his disposal, like everyone else.
Naruto is a story about hard work, discrimination, cycle of hatred, critcism of war and its horrors but also a deep exploration of trauma, emotions and what makes a person who they are and how to understand each other in a very complicated world and how to find love with it and that's why Naruto is the perfect protagonist of this story. Because he did learn what love really meant at the end just not the way he thought he should have it.
About Luffy
From the very start, One Piece's story is about hope and realizing your dreams. It's a hopeful story in which hatred doesn't take the precedent over people's choices and freedom. It's about a big journey you undergoe in order to grow, learn and then get to your goal while eating, drinking and fighting with your friends. All of that while also aknowledging that the world is not fair to everyone that's in it and no one is born equal to another.
Luffy is the perfect protagonist for this story. He's written to inspire people. Not just in the manga but the readers as well. "His selfishness is selfless" is a sentence that describe his principles and morals quite easily. Luffy is freedom. That's just it, really.
He's a simple character to understand because he's consistently the same throughout the manga while undergoing subtle character development. The thing is, Luffy is a character who changed as he learned from his adventures. He learned to deal with things in differents ways as he went on his journey. He went from resolving his problems with a good punch to learn that he can solve his problems by apologizing and bending the knee for the sake of others. He went from escalating to a fight with a crewmate who felt like he didn't belong in his crew to saying that he couldn't become the King of Pirates without them.
But, through and through, he stayed selfish. He was selfish when he fought an Emperor when he was specifically told to not do it at that precise moment because said Emperor was drunk and destroying a village with innocent people in it and Luffy couldn't even think of the possibility of wasting those lives for a plan. He was selfish when he punched in the face a Celestial Dragon and didn't think of anything else other than the fact that this man is a complete asshole. He's selfish when he beat the shit out of Doflammingo or Crocodile. He's selfish when he helps Nami ; he wants her as his navigator and no one else. So he destroys what stops her from being by his side. The thing stopping her being her village under the tyranny of Arlong. He's selfish when he asks Soge King to burn the flag of the WG because he wanted Robin to live. She could die later if she wanted, but not there. He's selfish when he says to Chopper to shut up and come with him on his ship.
He's so selfish that he liberates anyone he meets from the limitations they have imposed on themselves by simply giving them what they need ; uncondionnal love and support. He's very much the embodiment of freedom and portrays it so well that it is only natural for him to be the protagonist. His story is about liberating the world. (One Piece is not finished when I am writing this.)
As you can see, I have not mentionned Luffy's past as I have with Naruto. It's because Naruto's past is central to his character and his journey. Luffy isn't. Luffy's past explains who he is and Naruto's past define who he is. Neither are bad ways to approach the writing of a character.
Knowing the past of a character in One Piece is not that important, as long as you know them as they are, now. It explains why they are the way they are without defining what they can be. (Most of the time, I wouldn't say that that learning about Kuma's story didn't change my perspetive on his character. But then again : it explains his actions.)
That's what I think fundamentally makes the difference between Naruto and Luffy : the way they were written by their respective authors and the goals behind the character and what purpose they serve the respective stories.
I have tried to remain neutral during this rant, mostly because I think I can go on a while when I am not. I do have to add something personal, though. I love both protagonists a lot but for very different reasons. I really like to dig in with Naruto, especially his past and where it lead him as grew in tohe story as a character. I think he's very interesting to analyze and fun as well. Especially when you look at his story though differents lenses : either being japanese culture being reflected in the manga, history, politics, a story of love, a queer love story about repression in un unjust system (it is my favorite reading), an author being the product of his culture or a feminist reading (either to empower the characters or to analyze the sexism within the manga). It's just an endless ressource to exchange on. One Piece is also interesting in the sense that, yes, of course if you read the story in various ways (history, politics, feminism, queer reading, artistic, morals...all related to differents cultures) you can learn a lot about the manga itself, what inspired Oda but also about the world and very important life lessons, even. But what makes it interesting is the characters as much as the lore and the mystery behind the One Piece and what I love the most about it, is frankly, the hope it gives me about a better world, about realizing your dreams and not giving up on them. As much as I love analyzing Naruto, it never gave me that.

37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?
48. What’s the last fic you read? Do you recommend it?
💜💜💜
37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?
man i've written so many fic and in armored core fandom i feel like my fics get quite a bit of traction considering how small the fandom is. i mean averaging between 40 kudos on those fics is pretty impressive!
But I suppose (strictly sticking to my current fandom of AC6) I would like some of my Walt/Mich and Flatwell/O'Keeffe to get more traction, even though I'm aware they're fringe ships compared to the likes of viv621. But it's fine I'll write for like the five people who like those fics so we can all go insane together haha
I will say I'm very surprised that the rusty/freud fic (or viviv as i'm gonna call their shipname lmao) got as much attention as i did since i think i'm the only one?? who's written that?? it is a good ship though. consumed my brain with ideas for it. hope i'll inspire other people too with that.
48. What’s the last fic you read? Do you recommend it?
Oh man with this question I'm gonna do more than one. Let's see top five I've read recently are:
helping the world via murder, a guide by your local reformed terrorist by RK7200 which is a Jujutsu Kaisen/Naruto crossover. I'm totally blind to JJK but the premise intrigued me to try it and man, it's a good read and you can easily get by with very minimal JJK knowledge so long as you're savvy with your Naruto lore. Tl;dr Obito after dying revives as a curse in JJK world, and sends Gojo down the conspiracy rabbit hole thinking Obito is evidence of a big cover up in the Jujutsu world. Hilarious misunderstandings by all.
2. Mana by Eiruwei, an OC/Shisui Naruto fic that is amazingly written and I thoroughly enjoyed it, esp with how the person wrote their OC and explored their relationship with the Uchiha and Shisui. Really recommend giving it a read.
3. never gonna give you up by owlings, which is a Rusty-centric fic on trying to figure out who O'Keeffe's "babygirl" is (and being traumatised when he learns the answer is Flatwell). Genuinely made me laugh a lot and is very well-written, so please check it out.
4. SATOKO by quantumghosts, which is an OC-insert fic for Naruto and this is also amazingly written. Tl;dr an OC is isekai'd into Naruto as a female Naruto, and it does incredibly worldbuilding and character development between the characters, and Satoko really distinguishes herself as 'Naruto'. Really recommend this read.
5. Letters to Monsters by beccadbuss, this is yet another OC in Naruto fic, and it focuses on an OC and their relationship with the Bijuu before they're sealed away. Has a lot of focus on literature and the lessons they impart on people, and how sometimes an open hand and a willingness to understand achieves more than brute force. Genuinely an amazing read and I recommend!
6. Fire Rebirth by Blackbirdo, as a bonus sixth entry because I remembered it and it is genuinely fucking hilarious. Zuko is reincarnated as Itachi in Naruto and I read it if only because the summary read:
"To Zuko's great relief, his new family were not part of a cult. Instead they seemed to be rather normal; they were well-mannered, cultured, fire-breathing people who were very assured of their own superiority, and had a family history of insanity."
Seriously recommend it if you want a bit of silliness with a dash of "Zuko is somehow the only sane person here, incredibly, sort of".
Right, well! Those are my fanfic recommendations! You can tell I love OCs and people shipping OCs with canon characters and crossovers because yes, it results in many glorious stories tbh.
Thanks for the questions!

🗣️ (is this an excuse to hear you possibly talk more about shisui? Why yes it is 🤣)
Hey Ara--a ☺️
Lmao I'll talk your ear off if you let me, be warned 🤭
So if it's Shisui you're looking for (not hard when it comes to me 🥴)... I get a lot of ideas, not all of them are more than an errant though, so I like to write them all down in this massive bulletpoint list of ideas. Most of these will never see the light of day (or AO3) so I have no worries about spilling the details on one of them! So, if anyone gets fiendishly attached...rip to you 😅 it's only written out with a vague chapter plan but oh well~
So this is another Time Travel Fic where, as soon as Shisui awakens his Mangekyou at 8 years old, he freaks the fuck out and accidentally activates it whilst desperately wishing to "get home", picturing the Hokage monument... Only to land smack bang in the middle of the Senju brothers breakfast 🤣
Note: the idea of using Kotoamatsukami to time travel is something I've explored in And All The Stars Seemed Closer, as it questions how Shisui would intimately know what a technique he has never ever used could do or how to use it
Shisui is only saved from Tobirama immediately skewering him by Hashirama begging that Shisui is a panicking little kid.... that they can use to barter Uchiha peace, especially when Shisui freaks out that No He's Not Here To Kill Senju! ... He's taken as a prisoner of war, they send a missive to the Uchiha Clan saying that the child assassin failed and they will tear out his mangekyou Sharingan if the Uchiha don't submit to the senju (cue the Uchiha Compound exploding).
Hashirama is distraught and Tobirama, whilst trying to harden himself, can feel Shisui's terror and longing for home in his chakra signature. Hashirama is caught trying to heal him (Shisui Time Traveled from the deaths of his Genin Team after all) so is barred from the holding cells and begs Tobirama to go in his stead.
Cue very slow bonding moments where Tobirama begins to soften because Shisui's chakra is nothing but shining with sincerity and Tobirama might be a Shinobi but he's also so so soft to children. Shisui tells him about time travel, about the future and his feral devotion to peace and bawls his eyes out over his dead Genin Team and never seeing his baby cousin, Itachi, again, and Tobirama thinks he's crazy or trapped in a genjutsu or trying to trap Tobirama but.... His chakra is never anything but painfully honest and Tobirama... He begins to suspect....
Meanwhile, with the Uchiha, Madara and izuna go on a *insert scooby doo chase sound effect* headhunt for the mysterious Uchiha kid that no one seems to be related to but has the (mangekyou?!) eyes from their mother's side of the Uchiha family... Tajima is frothing at the mouth that the senju might have an Mangekyou held hostage so sends Izuna to confirm the reports whilst Madara attacks from the from and draws attention. Hashirama meets Madara head on, managing to convey between blows that he wants to help Shisui and how he's been barred from seeing him... Meanwhile, Izuna has found the cells but is met with an enraged Tobirama with a katana and, before he's forced to flee, Izuna manages to glimpse Shisui's wide baby eyes before Tobirama chases him out of the compound.... 🤭
Tobirama & Shisui are strictly platonic-familial, ironic because I know I literally talked yesterday about Shisui/Tobirama romance but it's called being multifaceted
So yeah! I didn't post the ending of the fic, this is just a very long premise lmao, because I do have a chapter plan worked out but... Will I ever write it properly? 🤷 Who knows, certainly not me lol
Thanks for playing!

Bella I have a question and I would like your opinion, how do you differentiate a ship that makes sense at narrative level from another that can only be caused by the shipping glasses? for example, we have SNS, at the narrative level, it's obvious the dedication that Kishimoto has given to both characters and has given them tropes that commonly appear in romance, in the same way that it has established that both are one of the most important people for the other (not counting Iruka and Itachi, where the sentiment is different and doesn't read on a romantic level), however, there are other fandoms that reply that their ships are the same as SNS. So how to differentiate a relationship that is created to have weight and depth from those that are not?
hello anon, that’s an interesting question… idk if i’m gonna be able to express myself very well or if i’m gonna make sense but let’s try.
this ask is particularly difficult to me because i’m supposed to explain and rationalise something that, above all, comes from emotions. i’ve said many times that shipping is falling in love with someone’s love, and it’s true. and yes, of course i post and reblog a lot of analyses about naruto and sasuke and that maybe could count as rationalising their relationship but those come after what i already feel for them, come from my and other people’s perception to show that our intuition is right. because shipping naruto and sasuke’s relationship is intuitive, it’s natural. i know that gay pairings are commonly appealing to women and gay people in fandoms, but naruto and sasuke are acknowledged outside of those circles, outside of shipping circles even, while pairings based on shipper glasses… aren’t. it’s no wonder that a lot of normies, a lot of homophobic people see it too, some even make jokes about it, despite denying or not shipping them for their own personal reasons. i think when people claim that other ships are the same as naruto and sasuke, the first thing we have to do is stop and wonder: are they really? what makes them think that? we have to consider that not every relationship written with more depth will necessarily be emotionally charged and written as romantic, with romantic moments, and when i say romantic, i mean how romance is perceived by society, not what someone personally considers romantic, because the latter can be biased. like i said, it’s difficult to rationalise something you’re supposed to feel because how and where do you draw the line? and i think the answer is pretty much in the public’s reaction… is it restrict to shipping circles and people that need to have a gay pairing in every single fandom they participate in or is it something noticed even outside of those?
bkdk shippers, for example, love to claim that their relationship is romantic because horikoshi said kishimoto influenced him, and use shallow comparisons between that horrible ship and naruto and sasuke to “prove” so. but when you see the moments they are comparing, their claim falls flat and the relationship lacks the emotional charge of naruto and sasuke. for real, which bkdk moments you can say have such an impact? you take sasuke sacrificing his life for naruto and saying “my body moved on its own” and you take izuku putting himself at risk to save bakugou and saying the same thing… you might think those moments are similar… but only if you see it very shallowly. izuku is not giving up on his life goal, pretty much the only thing he lived for for years because of bakugou, you don’t have a character building the narrative of “protecting a precious person” through the arc and referencing it in izuku’s act, you don’t have bakugou being so emotionally affected by izuku’s act that it awakens some power in him, that is powerful enough for that. so are those moments really that similar? is it “rivalry” and “knowing each other since they were kids” good enough comparisons to prove romance? you have to consider what tropes are being utilised as well. if you want to rationalise it, wondering which tropes are used and if they are commonly linked to romance is crucial. i’ve talked about this a bit in this post some time ago.
would also like to emphasise that naruto and sasuke pretty much have a good narrative surrounding homosexuality itself. it’s not only the fact that their moments are romantic and seen as so by people, that there’s use of romantic tropes, it’s also that they are written as gay men dealing with homosexuality, there’s use of gay coming of age tropes… like- naruto’s repression, for example, is well written, it’s very real, it resonates with gay people, it’s even similar to other explicit gay media. their relationship is rich in external references, some about gay media, some about romance, some used to sexualise one of the characters and paint him as “the heroine”. please, there are even portrayals of physical attraction and sexual innuendos in their relationship… what other pairings can you really claim that do the same?
there’s also the homophobic take “this writer is such a misogynist that the characters seem gay” a lot of people love to reproduce and i think it influenced too many of them. and this ends up again in what i said before about some dynamics being more emotionally charged. you don’t see people arguing about goku and vegeta’s relationship and if they are truly gay despite how lacking goku’s relationship with chichi is, despite how dbz focuses on hypermasculinity.
btw, when i talked about rationalising something you’re supposed to feel, i’m not saying that shipping naruto and sasuke is irrational, all i’m saying is that by the way they are written, you naturally come to the conclusion that they are in love. you can actually pick on the references and narrative and list which moments make you feel that way and prove your points. now why exactly they make you feel that way, why some relationships are more emotionally charged and how you do that, i guess it has to do with visual composition and storytelling and i don’t have much knowledge about it to give you a proper explanation, so you would have to ask someone else.

📓📓📓!! <3333
Put "📓" or some other version of a book emoji into my inbox and I'll explain the plot of a fanfiction that I haven't written but daydream about.
ok right the ever so brainrotting sharingan cult arc of my AU. im gonna try to keep this short because i could rant about it for ages and nobody cares ok.
essentially, Ko, who is ofc a spy, gives information to this cult of weirdo people who want the sharingan, at best the mangekyou, at very very best the sweet rinnegan version.s he tells them there are 3 uchiha grown up alive in the village, one has no eyes, one has the mangekyou and one is the sweet rinnegan boy. what these dudes to with that information is no concert to her.
so they decide: how can we get these adults to come fight us? thats right, we attack their children. and so 3 attacks happen at the same time. ren and takeshi uchiha (sasukes twin boys, both 2 1/2) get attacked in a forest (in which tehy shouldnt have been, but takeshi was adventurous and ren followed). takeshi gets injured greatly, but sasuke swoops in to save his sons(and kill the person responsible). (@queen-tabris) shisui (about 4) gets attackedw hile in the uchiha clan house while his mother is having a nap with his sister (about 2) which draw itachi out, and tho itachi has no eyes he like gets rid of the guy pretty much instantly (@uchiharomance). lastly there is obito, kakashis son, who is alone at home because his father is working and his mother is on mission and his sister is in school. he is 5. he has no way to defend himself until naruto comes in and whoosh saves him.
naruto brings obito to kakashi. there they all meet (Sasuke is there and itachi is there, all talk about what happened.) they realise that the only common denominator is that they are uchiha born children. tho its strange to them how intruders could even make it intot he village (hello ko). kakashi calls saya (anbu fox) and tells her to go out and get sayuri from her mission RIGHT AWAY.
unfortunately sayuri is already by then in deep shit, being completely surrounded by wayy to many enemies for her to handle alone.. so when saya finds her she is locked up somewhere and dying. Saya sends pakkun (Who is with her) and kakashi comes (tho tenzo says its better if he wasnt gonna go in case something is very wrong). either way kakashi is hokage and he does not care so he goes. when they arrive tenzo tells him that it would be good to keep one person alive to question them and kakashi is like yea yea
but then he throws like one look at sayuri and she is dying for real and he kind of forgets about that?? well sayuri uses her last strength to blink away from her captors and into kakahis arms and he scolds her that he told her not to use the mangekyou anymore because she could go blind. she cant even say anything in reply she just passes out. ANYWAY he kills them all. of course
at home its like security is doubled and sayuri is in the hospital for a long long time after that. it does not seem to pop up again but the issue is, how did they even manage to get into the village in the first place?
...... anyway i think a lot about that fic that i will never write.

1 and 13 for the ask game!
ty for the ask!
1. What part of the writing process is the most enjoyable?
This is a tough one haha. I procrastinate a lot, so there are a lot of parts that actually aren't that enjoyable 😅
But I guess one fun part is actually pre-writing, where I'm trying to figure out the direction of the story and just visualizing scenes in my head and brainstorming ideas and connections. Much easier than actually writing 😅😅. Plus it can be done anywhere.
Another fun part is when I'm writing and all cylinders are firing and it feels like the story is writing itself. Some of my favourite one-shots I've written when I got a sudden flash of inspiration and wrote it in one sitting, and only edited it very minimally afterwards.
Of course, the flipside of that is when the writing isn't flowing, and I just know what I'm writing will need countless revisions and rewrites afterwards. Fear of this kind of situation is what increases the activation energy of writing for me and so I tend to not write as much as I could ^_^;; trying to improve on that.
And of course, the other fun part of writing is when I just have that brilliant idea, "wait, that's so evil" and than I'm like. cackling as I jot it down. Have at least 1 or 2 of these in the brainstorming, I hope I finish them someday ^_^;;
13. Describe your writing style. If you were to participate in an anonymous fic writers guessing game (like The Masked Author), what writing habits do you have that would be a dead giveaway that it's you?
I find that my writing style has been shaped by a lot of different writers from when I was younger.
My fics tend to be somewhat dialogue heavy. This might be something I've picked up from the Calvin & Hobbes TV show fics that I read when I was in elementary school. But yeah I tend to default to a lot of two heads in a white plane of nothingness just yapping, so more recently I've been trying to include more scenery description and introspection c:
Present tense is something I picked up from qntm's sci-fi fics. When I read these stories in middle school, I thought it was kinda fun, tried it out, and now I'm stuck with it :P
And another aspect of my fics is I tend to add lots of continuity nods and references between each other, even in seemingly unrelated one-shots. I think I started doing this because of two of Sarah1281's Naruto fics in particular. I just remember there was this one-shot where after murdering their entire clan, Itachi is trying to push Sasuke onto a course of vengeance but it's not working because Sasuke is convinced that it's a dream and so in the end Itachi just gives up and Mangekyous him and makes a run for it :P
But anyway there was also this completely unrelated fic about a final confrontation between Sasuke and Itachi where Sasuke is being skeptical and then Itachi is like "NOT AGAIN" and then Sasuke is like "what" and Itachi is like "nothing" and I was like "ooooh I understood that reference" c: and I liked that little callback and so I wanted to create more moments like that as well c:
The downside of this is then there is more continuity to keep track of and more contradictions are possible and so there is more cognitive load required to start writing something so in the end that also increases the activation energy and makes it harder for me to write haha 😅
thanks again for the ask!

Naruto hot takes part 3: can I PLEASE get a waffle?
1) Kushina and Minato’s relationship was so fucked up. Like seriously she was a genocide survivor and he was a literal war criminal who killed thousands of people. 2) Also the fucking power imbalance - Minato was a prodigy, chosen young to be the Third Hokage’s successor, had close ties to the three Sannin aka the most powerful ninja in Konoha, and seemed to have some connection to the Second Hokage. Kushina may have been a Jinjuuriki, but she was also a refugee without a family or connections. 3) Also Minato was probably a psychopath lmao. He literally doesn’t care about anyone’s problems unless they’re shoved in his face, has no reaction to two of his students literally dying, and puts the third one - as a traumatized child - in murder corps. 4) Yk if he was alive he probably would have been a dad in a similar way as Principal Asano from Assassination Classroom. 5) Konoha probably had a part to play in Ushizo’s demise and it’s why no one ever mentions them despite that the literal Hokage was married to an Uzumaki. 6) Sasuke isn’t the amazing radical savior his fandom think he is lol. 7) Yeah, he was the closest to a radical character throughout the series, but the second he found out why Itachi decided killing his whole clan was a good idea he immediately sided with him and never questioned any of his decisions. When he did claim to want a revolution, his ideas were a) becoming a dictator (Kage) or b) killing everyone in Konoha. 8) He has every right to be mad and you could probably make him an actual revolutionary easily, but still lol. 9) Shikaku was a kind of bad dad based on what hints we get of Shikamaru’s home life. 10) Literally everyone’s characterization - Sakura included - was more interesting, well rounded, and had more potential in Part 1 than Part 2. 11) Sakura should have been a ROOT agent. It makes a lot of sense, especially in Part 1. 12) For how interesting Sai’s backstory was there was very little point to his character. The only reason he was there was to be Sasuke’s replacement. 13) The fact that he could have and should have been more is true, but he wasn’t. 14) Tsunade had a shit ton of privilege as both a Senju and the granddaughter of the First Hokage and that really should have been explored. 15) Both Jiraiya and Orochimaru give me pedophile vibes and I do not like it. 16) There was literally no reason why basically all of the Rookie 9 had to be clan heirs. It makes no sense. 17) Sarutobi Hiruzen was probably senile and should probably never be seen ever again. Please someone destroy his face on that stupid Hokage Wall or whatever it’s called. 18) Hashirama wasn’t the happy-go-lucky guy everyone seems to think he is lol. He was manipulative as hell and probably killed a shit ton of people. 19) The Last is a really stupid movie that showcases all of Studio Perriot’s fetishes in like two hours. 20) The one thing that is realistic is Hinata caring more about knitting a scarf for ‘N-naruto kun’ than her sister being kidnapped. 21) Both Sakura and Hinata are shittily written characters who’s entire arcs in-story revolve around guys. The difference is Hinata is a slave owner and Sakura knows jack shit about politics because no one tells her anything. 22) Hey Kishimoto give your main heroine an actual fucking thematic and plot relevant role that makes her equal to her male teammates as she’s literally supposed to be as their deuteragonist challenge. 23) Oh yeah Rin being a ROOT agent also makes a lot of sense. 24) Please sort out Naruto’s backstory. Did he have no friends or were Shikamaru, Kiba, and Chouji his friends? Did he not give a shit about Hinata or did he save her from a copy-pasted version of Sakura’s backstory? Please. 25) Naruto isn’t empathetic at all he just trauma dumps on everyone and expects them to gush over his oh-so-sad backstory because he had it the worst out of everyone, awwww. 26) And the worst part is it works lmaoo. 27) Kakashi has white man energy. 28) The whole reincarnation plotline was stupid and added absolutely nothing other than making Naruto’s whole thing about being an ‘underdog’ even more obsolete as he was literally destined for power. 29) Honestly if the ramen girl (Ayame?) was younger I probably would have shipped her and Naruto. It would’ve been cute. 30) Fugaku wasn’t abusive lol. Yeah, he wasn’t a perfect dad, but he did care about his kids and didn’t purposefully hurt them. The only reason people make him out to be Sasuke’s abuser is so they can make Itachi into this uwu savior instead of a nationalist responsible for a genocide.

Hii! I noticed that your requests are open.. May I request Shisui, Itachi ,Obito or Neji (its up to you who you choosee coz I cannot pick one among themmm) training with fem reader and accidentally cuts the readers clothes and the things that follow please?😏😏🔥
Take care and stay hydrated! ♡
Kunai
Neji x Reader
Tw: Exhibitionism, smut, frantic needy sex?
Notes: I've never written for Neji before, so, sorry if it's too OOC!
Tumblr media
------------------------------------------------------------
"You've been slacking y/n. Your movements are too slow, you're barely able to dodge my Kunai." Neji states, staring at you. He was right, you had been slacking on your training as of late, spending most of your time on delivery missions instead of anything combative, completely neglecting your training. "I know, I know. That's why I asked you to help me train, I need to work on my movement." You sigh as you ready yourself for his next attack. You both continued training, at this point hours had passed. "Neji it's time to call it quits for the evening, I need to head home and prepare for tomorrow's mission." You groan out. He stood not too far from you, letting loose one more Kunai, sending it ripping through your shirt. "Y/N! I'm so sorry, I had let it fly before I heard what you said!" He shouted, running towards you. "Ah! It's ok, don't worry, it didn't cut me." You grin at him as you notice his blush, his cheeks and neck scalding red. You follow his gaze, glancing down, noticing the Kunai had ripped through your shirt exposing your chest. "Oh! Hmmm. Like what you see?" You joked, smiling up at him while slowly trying to fix your shirt stopping at his next sentence, "I do. Very much." He whispers while averting his eyes to the ground. You stare at him in shock. You've dreamed of this moment for the longest time, never expecting it to become a reality. "Neji… Please…" he looks at you curiously. "Touch me, Neji." You say quietly. He wastes no time pressing his lips to yours, trailing his kisses down your neck, shredding your clothes with his hands as he quickly sheds his own. You gasp as he lays you down between the trees, attempting to hide you both as he spreads your legs, laying between them as he kisses on your chest, lightly sucking a nipple into his mouth. "Please.  Please y/n I need you. I… I need to be in you.. I've craved you, this, for the longest time." He sighs as he kisses along your jaw. You look up at him with lust in your eyes as you answer his needy question with your own needy actions, by wrapping your legs around his waist, pushing his rock hard sex against your entrance. His eyes widened as he slowly pushed himself inside of you, the stretch of his cock being painful, but deliciously pleasurable. You bite your lip, stifling a groan as he slowly works his way in and out of your weeping cunt. "Ahh. Y/n. S' warm! S' tight." He moans as you arch your back upwards, moaning in pleasure. "Oh god! Neji! M-MORE!" You belt out as you feel the coil in your abdomen tighten, ready to unravel any minute. He holds your wrists lightly above your head as his thrusts become more and more erratic, his rhythm completely lost. "M' so close y/n. So so close!" He pants. Hearing his desperate moans and grunts was enough to send you toppling over, your orgasm washing over you with such euphoria you're sure your moans could be heard from inside the village. The tightening of your warm, velvety walls was all he needed, a loud moan ripping from his chest as he stilled himself inside of you, filling you up. He slowly slides himself out, falling next to you, panting as he tries to clear his head of his post orgasm haze. You peek over at him and speak through your panting "If training ends this way every time, we may need to train tomorrow as well." He covers his mouth, hiding a smirk as his cheeks are once again dusted with a pink blush.

Hey Sparrow
I see most of the fandom saying “Sasuke should destroy Kohona.” And praise Sasuke for being “enemy of the state”.
I understood and sympathize with Sasuke losing his clan and family and living in pain from his brother than on top of that finding out your dying brother is innocent or at least was trying to do the right thing and your home town officials is part of the problem (third hokage, Danzo) and correct me if I’m wrong or missing something.
I feel for Sasuke HOWEVER to make it seem like killing innocent families is completely irrational, cruel, and insane. People supporting that idea are twice as insane as Sasuke for mentioning that concept.
Which is why I’m lost as to why people hate Tobirama for almost turning Sasuke into a pile of bones for mentioning destroying Kohona. Like you’re telling me you won’t be pissed or scared if someone said they want to blow up the United States for revenge.
I’m also lost as to why people hate Sasuke changing. Like that’s HIS OWN CHOICE. He wasn’t manipulated by anyone. He saw he was wrong and decided to change. Now, no, I don’t think Sasuke completely forgave Kohona, but he’s not on the verge of committing genocide.
What do you think? Am I wrong? Am I understanding Sasuke correctly? Or am I just… not getting it?
No, You are not wrong. You summarized his journey very well and I feel the same way too.
It's only those Sasuke stans who thinks Sasuke did nothing wrong are claiming that he should've destroyed Konoha... Not everyone though.
Other people feels that Sasuke is the person who was designed to question the System but was written to bootlick Konoha in the End.
Whereas I was like... "Since when did Sasuke became such a person to question the System?? Naruto was the only one who was doing this from Land of the Waves Arc... Until chapter 574, that Sasuke was so hell bent on getting Revenge and nothing else... I won’t be saying Sasuke is a Selfish Character otherwise he wouldn’t be going so far as to save Team Taka from Killer Bee’s rampage.... Rather he was a Self-Absorbed character. It’s only after Itachi’s Edo Tensei got dissolved, he started to question something that doesn’t have anything to do with him, he wanted to know Itachi’s feelings, “What is a Clan, What is a Village, What are Shinobi, Who am I?”
And he questioned all the above to his Predecessors and came to a conclusion to protect Konoha (in his own way)... What else he had to Question???"
Then some people feel that Uchiha Clan Massacre should be revealed to the public to bring Justice for Sasuke and his Trauma but Kishimoto did dirty.  If something don’t go their way, then the only logical thing to do is to blame the Author.
But I’ve clearly written here in this post that this revelation would only hurt back Sasuke in the worst way possible.... No matter what, Uchiha is the proud and prestigious clan of Konoha and Itachi want their name to be remained as such forever... Neither Itachi nor Sasuke would want their clan’s name to be dirtied by revealing this to the public.
[[Disclaimer: Very Lengthy and Panel Heavy post.... Read at your Best time...
And this post is intended for people who are open-minded to know about a different and unfortunately a rare perspective which strictly adheres with Canon. I mean, I am totally satisfied with Sasuke’s Character Journey in the Manga without any confusion or resentment towards the Author... This is a criticism pointed towards Apologists who believe Uchiha Clan did nothing wrong.... not towards the Clan itself. If you are an apologist, I advise you to not read this post]]
SASUKE’S REALIZATION OF UCHIHA CLAN AND HIS EVENTUAL ACCEPTANCE OF KONOHA
I’m also lost as to why people hate Sasuke changing. Like that’s HIS OWN CHOICE. He wasn’t manipulated by anyone. He saw he was wrong and decided to change. Now, no, I don’t think Sasuke completely forgave Konoha, but he’s not on the verge of committing genocide.
Ummm... Actually for this, they blame it on Kishimoto doing dirty for Sasuke.
Tumblr media
“I will never forgive Konoha”
People still couldn’t move on from this panel....
Either because they project themselves that Revenge is the dish that’s best served cold, Meaning.... They want bloodshed to be solved by bloodshed.... or they couldn’t grasp Sasuke’s True character progression which ties back to Chapter 27 or they blur the reality with fiction or they got introduced into Naruto/SNS fandom through fan fictions where it was always written that Sasuke hated Konoha while completely ignoring the facts established in Manga or the best reason is, they couldn’t realize that Uchiha Clan also made mistakes and they still believe that they are the innocent clan who got no justice.
Anyways, I am just going to explain Sasuke’s realization about Uchiha Clan and how he accepted Konoha entirely in the end.
We all know that UM (Uchiha Massacre) is a prominent plot point in this series.. It’s precisely because of this very reason, Narratively, we were given 6 flashbacks about Uchiha Clan. One from Part 1, One from Itachi, One from Obito, Once again from Itachi and One from Hashirama and One from Zetsu. And SASUKE IS THE ONLY PERSON TO EXPERIENCE/HEAR ALL THE 6 VERSIONS OF HIS OWN CLAN’S FLASHBACK.....
Can’t he able to put all the versions together and find what’s wrong with his own clan????
Well, this post is all about putting everything together and I’ll start with the swiss cheese holed plot contradictions from the Obito’s Flashback.
Obito’s Flashback was all about how Uchihas never listened to Madara and joined with Senjus to remain in Konoha... And how they were mistreated by those Konoha Higher-Ups... generations after generations... And how the Higher-Ups suspected Uchiha Clan for a ‘Supposed Accident’ of Kyuubi manifesting by itself 16 years ago.... And how they got eventually massacred by their very own clan member, Itachi on the orders from the Government.
It’s almost like Madara was saying. “If they (Uchiha Clan) had listened to me, they would have lived peacefully”
In Short, this flashback portrays Uchiha Clan as this Innocent Victims with no mistake.
Anti-Konoha stans and Uchiha apologists completely believe this version while disregarding all the other versions. Because this is were Uchihas were portrayed as Victims and it’s very convenient for their arguments.
I am just just going to put everything together in a What he was told vs What really happened format.... Because if I explain each and every flashback with panels, it will eventually confuse the hell out of everyone....
What he was told - No. 1
Tumblr media
“And as their leader, I had to follow their will”
Here Obito was saying that the Uchiha Clan forced Madara to accept Senju Clan’s truce because they were tired of fighting the war. Also that Madara warned Uchiha Clan that accepting the truce with Senjus would led them to their eventual destruction.... And Obito claimed that this scene happened right before the formation of Konoha. He is portraying the story as if he was not at all interested in the truce but he had to abide by his clan members Will...
What really happened - No. 1
Tumblr media
Whereas in Reality, Madara himself accepted the truce after seeing Hashirama’s true resolve, not because of his Clan members.
Just FYI.... The Entire purpose of Sasuke seeking the Hokage’s perspective about the Shinobi World, Konoha and Uchiha Clan is precisely because their words were the Ultimate Truth with no assumptions, presumptions and theories or delusions. They are the first-hand witness for everything hence their words should be taken as the Source of Truth.
What he was told - No. 2
Tumblr media
“Even that was a means to keep them out of Government Affairs”
Here Obito is saying that Uchihas were given a Law Enforcement position to keep them out of the Government Affairs... This gives off the vibe that “Uchihas are forced to work only as Cops”.....This is another Uchihas Apologists favourite claim....
My point is “A Military position inside a military village” is a very powerful position than an Akimichi Clan who only sells Food Products and a Yamanaka Clan who keeps Flower Shop.... A Hyuga Clan, despite having superior Ocular power, was not even in the Government Council at any point in the story.... If the other clans don’t take it as a slight, why should Uchiha Clan alone feel slighted by this???
Well.... Rather than me talking about it.... I’ll let the Other Uchihas talk about it through their own Panels.
What really happened - No. 2
Itachi’s perspective about Law Enforcement position is totally Different from how Obito portrayed it to be.... He even talked about this to Sasuke in Part 1.
Tumblr media
“Only ones who can enforce laws on Shinobi’s crimes.... ARE SUPERIOR SHINOBIS”
So, according to Itachi, Law Enforcement is a superior position in his Village that was maintained by Uchiha Clan for many years and hence, he considers themselves as Superior Shinobis. Well, it’s definitely superior than selling food products and flowers unlike other clans.
And Sasuke was even excited about this
Tumblr media
“Wow, Father’s Great!”
Tumblr media
“When I grow up... I’ll join the police force too!!”
And it seems Sasuke also felt the same way... to the point of him getting very excited to become a cop himself..... someday. Do you really think that Sasuke would be this excited if he was told that his father was selling some Food Pills???
And added to that... Uchiha Clan’s level of authority they have over other people can be crystal-clearly seen from this following panel....
Tumblr media
“We, the Police Force, have other connections to ANBU as well... If you try to hide anything, we’ll know right away...”
So, Apart from Itachi & Shisui (Who is dead by this time)... there were other sources in ANBU who can provide information to Uchiha Clan, weren’t they???. Either those sources must belong to Uchiha Clan or these Clan members were very influential enough to bribe other Clan members in ANBU to work for them. I am just going to go with the former possibility because the second one puts Uchiha clan in a very bad light.
Tumblr media
And Fugaku himself claims here that “The ANBU is a battalion under Hokage’s direct Authority... Even us Police forces cannot arrest them without an Official Order..”
ANBU is under Hokage’s direct Authority... Apart from Itachi & Shisui... There are few other Uchihas also worked in it... Meaning, they were not only cops... They were in position who works close under the Hokage as well...
[[Now that I think of, Since Itachi belongs to ANBU, they can’t arrest him without an official order... Which means they could arrest common people without an official Order... Isn’t this somewhat Arrogant and aren’t they abusing the power they were given??... Well, that’s for another day]]
So, the claim that Uchihas are only cops and they were offered that (inferior) position as a slight to keep them away from the Government was totally a BS which was proven wrong by the characters inside the Story including Sasuke, Itachi...
But still... Even if Obito’s claims were true.... that the Uchihas were only restrained to being cops in order to keep them away from the power nucleus...
Was Uchiha Clan members were really restrained to work only as cops????
Then what about this???
Tumblr media
“We’ll become Hokage”
Am I blind here????
How come a boy from Uchiha Clan who was ‘supposedly’ forced to become a cop can dream of becoming an Hokage???? This Obito has been screaming like a Cockatoo that “I will become an Hokage” like 300 times inside this story... He even dreamt of wearing that Hokage costume and wanted to parade around Konoha...
His dream was encouraged by the Top Jounin, The Yellow Flash of Konoha. He even openly admitted in the war field that, ‘I was planning on making you a Hokage’.
So, Uchihas can become anything....
Now that I come to think of, If Obito was not made into a pawn of Madara... He could’ve very well become an excellent Hokage. His dreams were all spoiled by another Uchiha....
Tumblr media
Here there’s another Uchiha who joined ANBU and even Hiruzen himself acknowledging that “Itachi was never bound by the trappings of a Clan.... And he thought quite like an Hokage”.... People are claiming that he is just sugar coating Itachi in front of Sasuke...
Well, A Hokage is someone who transcends beyond the trappings of their clan and put other people’s safety as their priority... And the way Itachi put the Village over his clan and also the way he advised Naruto about the Definition of Hokage... I couldn’t agree more with Hiruzen’s words and it’s not some sugar coating shit. And precisely because of this, Sasuke also thought Itachi must be the Hokage in VoTE2.
If only Kyuubi attack hasn’t happened (which is caused by another Uchiha) or If his own Father (another Uchiha) hadn’t organized a Coup.... Itachi could’ve very well became an Hokage or an ANBU leader..... Contrary to the fact about Uchihas are only cops.... Well, Shisui wasn’t a Cop either... And Kagami wasn’t a cop too...
So, anyone can become an Hokage irrespective of their clan’s Name... Either this fact about “Uchihas are only cops” must be one of Obito’s long list of lies or some delusion....
So, Every time an Uchiha wanted to come closer to the Hokage Title.... Some other Uchiha made sure to prevent it.... or cockblocks it.
What he was told - No. 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“They had effectively been quarantined..... And the Discrimination began”
“Being treated so poorly led to a lot of Bad Blood”
This page!!!!
This one page!!!!
That gave rise to all the delusions and head canons that almost became a fact.
I don’t have time for translating the Manga raws to get the exact translation but this gives off this vibe that Uchihas were mistreated by everyone (including the villagers).... Some people are make a disturbing historical reference with Second world war to these panels which I don’t want to talk about it and taint this post... because they are fucking disrespectful to the real people who suffered a lot and Uchiha Clan hardly qualifies as such especially there are no valid panels to prove it. The people who make these kind of parallels are clearly some delusional Asshats with no reading or visual comprehension.
What really happened - No. 3
But the truth is,
Tumblr media
We have 100′s & 100′s of panels inside the Manga to show how Sasuke was revered by his classmates and the villagers alike. But I specifically chose this one because, this Academy Teacher has been showering praises about Itachi... And he talks in an extremely polite manner instead of throwing any scornful or suspicious look towards Fugaku unlike they do with Naruto... There is no sign of any discrimination or Quarantined effect from him or the Villagers.... If anything, the teacher was so happy to converse with Fugaku and sing praises about his Sons....
And it has been established throughout the Part 1 that Sasuke was a celebrated Kid. And all of these reverence are after the Kyuubi incident. AAAAND SASUKE KNEW IT.
Is this how a Marginalized Discriminated Clan would be treated by other people??? Then what about Naruto??? That boy was literally treated as a Pest by the Villagers which has been shown right from Chapter 1. Whereas it’s completely different for Sasuke, Itachi and Fugaku.
So, Either Obito must be contradicting unconsciously or he is lying consciously about Uchihas being discriminated or he must be talking about the Higher-Ups discriminating the Uchiha Clan and not the villagers.
But somehow those stans add the villagers into the mix and build up some pathetic head canons.
What he was told - No. 4
Tumblr media
“In Actuality, it was just a freak occurrence.... A Natural Disaster... The Uchiha were completely blameless”
This is one of the biggest lie inside the Narutoverse to which even Cersei Lannister will be shocked.... Hiding this plot point will project that the Higher Ups were randomly suspecting Uchiha Clan for no reason.
What really happened - No. 4
Tumblr media
Kurama made sure to mention the name “Uchiha Madara” and his connection with Kyuubi....
Tumblr media
“Then, Sixteen Years Ago, the Kyuubi attacked Konoha Madara’s doing, of course... But this time, the fourth Hokage stood in his way...”
Itachi in his version of flashback made sure to mention this fact to Sasuke.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Sasuke also questioned it to Obito that “You were the one who used Kyuubi to attack the Village.... You framed the Uchiha”....
CONCLUSION : SASUKE KNEW THAT OBITO (AS MADARA) RELEASED KYUUBI & THAT HE FRAMED UCHIHA....
And yet the moment Obito started to talk about Itachi’s sacrifice in detail.... Sasuke just conveniently ignored these facts consciously. Because by ignoring the truth it gives him more reason to completely hate the Village by conveniently lying to himself that whatever he was doing was right.
The point is that Sasuke knew that Obito was the culprit behind his clan’s downfall and yet he joined him and went on to kidnap Killer Bee. So, if Sasuke was claiming to destroy Konoha to get revenge for his Clan’s sake.... Then the very first person he must have killed was Obito....
What he was told - No. 5
Tumblr media
“Your brother Tobirama is probably going to be that...(Hokage).... And if that happens, Uchihas are going to be exterminated...”
Madara has been making delusional claims that Uchiha clan will be exterminated if Tobirama became an Hokage....
Did Tobirama exterminated the Uchiha Clan???? Really???
What really happened - No. 5
Because the last time I checked.... Long After Tobirama was dead, Uchiha Clan was still alive and well-respected.
Tumblr media
“The Uchiha Clan are all Elite Ninjas... Aren’t they..?”
Oh.... Did I go blind here again???? And this is 60 years after Madara left the Village.... Why didn’t this Uchiha extermination hasn’t happened yet???? Kakashi is very much calling Uchihas as this Elite Ninjas while mocking Obito being a dumb Uchiha....
And this following panel shows that the Uchihas were neither exterminated nor discriminated by the Villagers...
Tumblr media
Here Obito was helping Konoha’s old people because he was really a good boy back then.... This shows that he had a very happy life in that village. None of the villagers were seen ostracizing Obito, not even the Old people who usually have this outdated ideals....
And what was Madara doing at this time???
Tumblr media
Yeah.. This dude was.. Rotting inside that cave with a walking stick.... alone..... Waiting for some innocent Uchiha to show up so that he can exploit or threaten to snatch his eyes... Concocting some Moon Plan Bullshit... And not only that, he was self-fulfilling the Prophecy of Extermination of Uchiha by deliberately making Obito as his pawn... by pushing him into Darkness...
Did he stop with that???
Tumblr media
Madara made Rin into a three tails’ Jinchurikki to attack Konoha.... In order to push Obito into Darkness and take advantage of him...
Tumblr media
And he made sure to keep Obito as his pawn even after his Death by putting a Cursed seal into his heart... By doing this, Obito can’t even commit suicide....
WoooW!!!! Madara’s prediction was soooo exact and accurate!!!! Let’s all just clap our hands..... Because his prediction.... ooops... Sorry.... His delusion never came true.... But in order to desperately make it happen.... he himself employed a pawn in the name of Obito and exterminated the Uchiha Clan.
Tumblr media
“Just as long as we can be together sometimes...”
And what about this???..... This is 8 years after the Kyuubi incident.... Itachi and Sasuke were having a really good and peaceful life in this very village....
Tobirama was long dead by this time.... Minato was also dead.... 80 years passed after Madara left the village, What happened to that GRAND EXTERMINATION OF UCHIHA prediction???
If a Clan was being Ostracized or Disrespected or Mistreated or Tortured by the Government just like those Uchiha Apologists claims, Sasuke would have felt something wrong when he was just 8..... But he never knew anything about it.... Don’t tell me he was just a Kid....
Tumblr media
If he was very perceptive enough to notice the change in his brother’s Attitude after joining ANBU, how couldn’t Sasuke inherently realize his Clan being mistreated by the Government????
Tumblr media
Even if you are not convinced... This is Naruto at Sasuke’s age in the above panel.... This is what you call as Mistreatment. If Naruto at Age 7 could realize this... Can’t Sasuke able to sense something bad that’s happening around him???
Sasuke never knew about this problem or felt it under his skin precisely because there was never a big problem about this issue that affected their lives as many Uchiha Justice Warriors claims...
What he was told - No. 6
Tumblr media
“He (Shisui) was someone who’d do any mission for the Clan.... I doubt a man like him would eave something like this behind and die...”
In Part 1 Flashback.... Uchiha Clan members suspected that Itachi might have killed Shisui who was loyal to the Clan and was asked to spy on Itachi. Provided that, Itachi’s behaviour was strange ever since he joined ANBU.
As suspected, Itachi told Sasuke that he got his Mangekyou Sharingan because he killed Shisui.
What really happened - No. 6
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“When I tried to stop the Coup D’etat by using Kotoamatsukami, Danzou stole my right eye”
“Please protect the Village.... And the Uchiha’s name...”
Contrary to what Sasuke believed.... Itachi’s memories proved Sasuke was wrong on 2 things.... 1.) Itachi didn’t Kill Shisui... 2.) Shisui was never loyal to his Clan as his Clan members believed him to be... He had already sided with the Village just like his Big Brother.
This is an important revelation because it’s not only his Brother but also his Brother’s Best Friend who also sided with the Village to the point of committing Suicide... And that’s why after this truth, Sasuke got this question... “What exactly is this Village for which everyone goes so far?”
Now we have seen the contradictions, lies, delusions that were filled up in all these flashbacks. Now What about Sasuke’s own flashback in Part 1 and How does Itachi felt about his own clan???
ITACHI’S PERCEPTION OF UCHIHA CLAN
Usually Uchiha Apologists hate Itachi.... And by any chance, if some of them don’t hate him... they have a templated Answer.... That is, “Itachi was just a Child.... He was brainwashed by the Government... That’s why he became weird.... And Massacred the clan”.... And it’s precisely because of this dumb apology, I don’t even follow Itachi tags here...
I was like, “Where is the proof for those Brainwash??.... This is a Shounen series where Kids aged 13 will kick the ass of Adults... You can’t bring in the real life logic into it... A 12 year old boy changes the heart of Zabuza, the demon.... A 12 year old girl wants to see the dick of a boy.... A 12 year old boy wants to kill a man for his revenge.... It’s because of the Nature of the Genre where kids’ maturity level were upped by 4 or 5 years irrespective of their Age... How come when Itachi massacred his clan at age 14, all of a sudden he becomes an innocent brainwashed child???”
My point is... He was neither a child nor he was brainwashed.... He did everything out of his sane mind because he knew he had no option and also knew that his Clan was wrong... And he knew that he has to suffer for the crimes he had committed.
Let’s just say, he was indeed brainwashed by those Konoha Higher-Ups... What can those apologists say for the following panels where Itachi was trolling his own clan for which Konoha officials has no idea about????
Let’s start with the information we got from Sasuke & Itachi vs Kabuto battle.
Tumblr media
Uchihas using Izanagi, a Jutsu that can make the user become arrogant and the possibility of them going on a Rampage.
Tumblr media
But there are other good Uchihas who wanted to stop them from getting Arrogant and being negligent by running away from the truth.
The point Itachi trying to make here is that the inability of handling the power that was given to some Uchihas that leads them to become arrogant and at the same time, there were some sane people who could guide them into a good way by making them to acknowledge their mistakes.
First off, Itachi was already dead. If he was really “brainwashed” as they claim, then he has no obligation to be loyal to that Village at all... I mean not after getting resurrected by Edo Tensei... Because he can fuck that village as much as he wants and no one could do anything about it... Since everyone was busy fighting the war.
Second off, He is pointing out the Arrogance of his own clan members by citing an History lesson about Izanagi and Izanami.... How could Konoha Higher ups know about this??? Did they teach Itachi about his own clans’ history and brainwashed him that his clan was no good??? I wish they could come up with a believable claim for once.
And in part 1, Right after massacring the Clan, Itachi mentions about the requirement to awaken Mangekyo Sharingan (MS) and tells Sasuke to read the true purpose of the MS which was written in the Stone Tablet
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And just as he was told, he went there to see what it was all about....
Tumblr media
The thing which was written over there was....
“Killing a Close Friend/dear one can fetch you Mangekyou Sharingan....
Mangekyou Sharingan can control Kyuubi... And the more someone uses it... the more they will lose their sight and will eventually become blind....”
But there is this other half of the secret....
Itachi’s version of Uchiha Clan flashback was all about the Other Secret of Mangekyou Sharingan written on the Stone Tablet which was uncovered by Madara and how Uchiha Clan members were desperate to obtain it over the years ....
Tumblr media
“These truths (obtaining EMS by transplanting eyes from a Blood relative) were only gradually discovered over time, after many, many sacrifices”
So, Uchiha Clan has been trying to obtain Mangekyo Sharingan’s power by sacrificing their own clan members over the years.... Isn’t this kind of Spooky???
Tumblr media
And the secret to obtain EMS is to kill a Friend to awaken MS and Kill another Blood Relative to obtain it Eternally.
All of these facts has been proven right by Madara, Itachi and Sasuke himself except that they didn’t kill them but saw their death.
Tumblr media
Here Itachi is mocking his own clan again for flaunting the power that was obtained through such a gruesome manner for many Generations.... to convey Sasuke that their own clan is not very innocent and that they would go to any extreme to obtain power at any costs.
In both the instances, Itachi points out the futility of being Arrogant by stating the fact that the Uchiha clan members are powerful because of their Visual Prowess.... But despite having surplus amount of Power, they are still desperate to obtain more ... And Instead of handling the Power in a humble way,  they abuse the power by getting arrogant and ended up destroying each other.
Just like how Izanagi is the superior Jutsu that can help them win the battle but then they get arrogant and use it against each other to get the favourable results they want....
Just like how the clan members were blessed with Sharingan but instead of being content with it, they were desperate to obtain the Mangekyou Sharingan at the cost of killing their own brethren and to make it eternal... they resort to kill their own Blood Relative.... And in the process, they destroy each other...
Just like how Madara was able to achieve peace by creating a Village System but instead of being content with it, he wanted the Hokage position despite being unfavoured by his own clan members and went on to delude himself with some Stone Tablet Prophetic shit.... Wanted to obtain more power by battling with Hashirama.... And in the process darkened Obito and destroyed his own clan.
Just like how Uchiha Clan was given the Superior power of Law enforcement, but instead of being content with it, they got arrogant and abused it to obtain more power at the cost of starting another Civil War and in the process they ended up getting destroyed.
It’s precisely because of this repeated Arrogance from his own clan members, Itachi said this,
Tumblr media
“Of my capacity... I’ve lost all hope for this pathetic clan”
So far,
The way I have structured this post might look like I am bashing Uchiha Clan... Well, in reality the characters belonging to the Uchiha Clan themselves were trolling their own clan. Itachi was openly calling them out as Pathetic and Arrogant, Madara willingly darkened his own clan member, Obito and made him into his pawn and was threatening him that he would snatch his eyes.... Obito intentionally framed Uchiha Clan that led to their disaster and darkened Sasuke, his own clan member....
You all might wonder.... So, far, it’s all very negative and neutral...  What is the positive thing about this clan???
And that’s exactly where Tobirama comes in...
I’m lost as to why people hate Tobirama for almost turning Sasuke into a pile of bones for mentioning destroying Konoha.
Hmmm... He is not hated for that. LOL.... @dinainwater
They think Tobirama was a Racist because he points out the truth of the Uchiha Clan without Fawning over them. And that’s why he earned the tag as ‘Racist’. And also because of a translation Error in the Manga where Hashirama asks, “Haven’t I asked you not to persecute the Uchiha?”..
Whereas in reality, the Japanese term used there was, ‘ないがしろ’ = ‘Naigashiro’ which means A Slight, Make light of, Neglect.... Persecute is nowhere near to the above meanings I mentioned here and every Japanese dictionary gives these same set of words I mentioned here as a meaning.
Tumblr media
In this panel, Itachi also uses the same word ‘Naigashiro’ for which the translation was absolutely right, that is.... ‘Make light of’.... But somehow in the Hashirama’s panel, it got into a different zone....
And there are so many unwarranted hate to this character from Sasuke stans which always makes me laugh. Because what they don’t understand is that Tobirama is a plot device who was designed to talk about the Uchiha Clan in an Unbiased Way by providing the facts that has been proven CANONICALLY.
They also hate Tobirama for pointing out the flaws of the Uchiha Clan, that is they obtain Super Powers through their Hatred (Which was proven Canonically by Sasuke who evolved his Susanoo through his sheer Hatred).... While they completely ignore the fact that he was the first person to acknowledge that Uchiha Clan was the most Lovable Bunch of People whose Love exceeds more than the People from his own clan and their hatred comes out of Extreme Love.
Tumblr media
“No other clan treasured Love as much as Uchiha... That’s why they sealed that off themselves... They awaken something even stronger than the Senju’s Power of Love”
This is a fact which Sasuke himself didn’t know anything about... which explains his exaggerated surprise. Well, to be honest.... This is actually a new fact for the readers too.... AND CANONICALLY PROVEN MANY TIMES.
And you know what, just for pointing out this Character’s right things, I was mocked by another Erudite SNS’er to not support SNS and to not write anything about Sasuke... Because I am supporting a ‘supposed’ Racist..... That’s the maturity level of certain stans in this fandom. However, am writing about him in my another ask... So, I’ll cover in-detail over there.
Anyways,
So far... Sasuke listened and experienced 5 out of 6 Flashbacks, before he decided to protect Konoha...
After all the lies, delusions and contradictions, what he learnt was...
Uchiha’s Military Police Force was a powerful position unlike selling flowers or making medicine.
Uchihas can become anything other than cops....
Uchiha Clan were never Mistreated or Ostracized by the Villagers.... Instead they were celebrated by them.
It was only Danzo and those Elders who marginalized Uchiha Clan to the remote corner of the Village because the higher-ups became suspicious on them after the result of Kyuubi Incident... Thanks to Obito who was darkened by Madara.
Uchiha clan was indeed misusing their powers for many Generations starting from the way they were willing to kill their own clan members to obtain Mangekyo Sharingan and their Blood Relative to keep it eternally, they were also misusing Izanagi to the point of becoming Arrogant which led to other sane Uchihas to develop a Kinjutsu called Izanami and also they were misusing the Police Force to organize Coup detat.
And to further add value to their Arrogance...
Tumblr media
“If you have power, You become alienated and also arrogant... Even if you are coveted and sought after at first”
This scene happens right after the day Shisui committed suicide before Itachi’s eyes... Which means Itachi was indirectly referring these lines to Uchiha Clan’s arrogance to take over the Village by totally referring it for himself infront of Sasuke.
And finally by putting it all together... [[Click on it for better quality]]
Tumblr media
This!!!
This panel is the amalgamation of all the things that had happened between him and Itachi.... And all these panels were carefully selected... If you notice carefully... From the right, the panels were all about their childhood days, in the Middle... Itachi was seen turning strange & massacres his clan and towards the left, it was all about their Battle & their time spent during his Edo Tensei...
After all, Sasuke really wanted to understand Itachi’s feelings... He wanted to destroy Konoha because he simply couldn’t tolerate the way Konoha used up Itachi and made him into a Traitor. That’s why he went to the Hokages to seek their perspectives..
Tumblr media
“I want to know about Itachi’s Feelings... The Feelings of a person who, even after getting his name sullied and dying, continue to think about his village and wanted to protect it...”
After putting all the facts and feelings together....
Tumblr media
This is how Sasuke evolved from “I will never forgive Konoha” to “I won’t let the Village and Itachi become nothing!”... Because Itachi and Hashirama both protected innocent people who were going to suffer for the wrong doings made by their dear ones...
Tumblr media
“You forget what is most important to you... Because you cling to something small like your clan...”
This is Itachi’s ideal.... He never wanted to attach himself to a small thing like a Clan... But rather wanted to be part of a Bigger Whole.
And the Hokages also had the same ideal...
Tumblr media
It’s not at all OOC or Strange for Sasuke to adopt Itachi’s ideals since Sasuke himself never had any big attachment to his own clan... If he was truly devoted or cared about his Clan... Sasuke wouldn’t have joined Obito of all people after knowing the Truth. His revenge was mostly about his despair for losing Itachi and he got a Closure after listening to the story of Konoha from all the Hokages.
To conclude this....
There are so many false claims in this fandom about How Uchiha Clan was very Innocent, how they were oppressed, marginalized, tortured and all that... My Question is, “Why couldn’t I see a single panel from 6 Flashbacks which shows how they suffered for Generations because of the mistreatment of Konoha???”
Naruto’s mistreatment was validated by atleast 6 or 7 pages... Gaara had 2 Whole chapters dedicated to his poor treatment from his Family members & Villagers... Haku had a whole page about it... Even Killer Bee had a small flashback to show how he was treated by his Villagers...
If Kishimoto could do it for Gaara, Haku, Killer Bee ... all secondary characters.... Why couldn’t he show something for a plot point which takes 50% of his Manga??? .... And also this plot point was the driving force of his Deuteragonist.
The Author didn’t show it because there was none!!! In all the Flashbacks, be it Obito’s childhood or Sasuke & Itachi’s flashback.... Uchihas were celebrated and treated as this elite Ninjas. They were all seen happy in their respective flashbacks with no sign of Ostracization or Mistreatment.
So, this “Uchihas being oppressed for Generations” thing was all some Fanon theory concocted by those apologists by twisting facts from a single panel while completely disregarding everything else...
Yes, The Higher-Ups shouldn’t have asked the Uchiha Clan to relocate to a remote corner of the Village. That’s totally Wrong. But instead of having their beef with the Higher-Ups in a peaceful manner, the Uchiha Clan planned to take over the Entire Village forcefully that could affect other Villagers who have nothing to do with their issue.
At the end of the day, the people who were responsible for this Massacre were all dead and there’s no reason for Sasuke to hate that Village anymore.
Tumblr media
If Sasuke accepting Konoha is OOC then so does all the above panels... Especially the bottom left one was from chapter 35.

Hello author-san! Sorry if I'm disturbing you, but I was wondering if I could ask you some things about NoK? I honestly haven't moved on from it. Don't get me wrong tho, I absolutely loved the ending. It's just so hard to say goodbye to the story when it was so well-written.
First of all, I was wondering if you had more headcanon about the characters? I remember you shared some when the story was halfway through. Also, I'm curious to know if you had any scenes or small little things that you wanted to add to the story but ended up not writing?
Once again, thank you so much for writing NoK and for sharing it with us! Hope you and your family are doing well! ❤
FRIEND...!!! @neshukos . *Sits you down making stern eye contact* Are you listening? Okay, good. I will never be over this fic, it has been with me for nearly nine years, and it makes me Unspeakably Happy that you enjoyed it!! "Sorry to disturb you with my interest in it" is the silliest and sweetest sentiment I've ever heard 😂❤️
I got a few questions from another reader, so let me share what I told them about my ending headcanons:
I don't want to get too much into their future because I think endings need a little mystery, a little room for imagination. But I can say that, in my own headcanon, Sakura does become a trauma surgeon. She probably is the primary earner so that Itachi can relax, run the sailing business, and study All The Subjects at university, whatever his heart desires. I hope he gets ten doctorates in the most obscure subjects imaginable just for the fun of it. Shisui lives nearby, at the very least, and is happy, though I've got no clue if or when he finds a companion. I hope so, he deserves it! Maybe one of them will hook him up someday 😂. But regardless, he's their brother and best friend.
As far as deleted scenes, I don't actually have much! This was one of the those stories that springs almost fully-formed into your head, so there's precious little on the cutting room floor. You can find most drabbles/thoughtcrimes here, though some did make it into the story. I think this was still a Yakuza fic when most of these were written, funnily enough: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MY31t_jL7U6TBFpYxBVmfxMDS9cPb9tC_QR_pOU3ucU/edit?usp=drivesdk
What I've got instead of extra scenes is a *shitton* of planning documents, lol! Planning is messy and chaotic, so browse at your own risk 😂
If you scroll down through this backstory brainstorming, you'll find a snippet from Sasuke's POV from when he first asked Sakura out: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XxDzJqmTN4yOih05tOwSI2M2C-9f11-AvcN1GGAa6hU/edit?usp=drivesdk
For a whole bunch of crazy ideas that thankfully never made it into actual writing (including Akatsuki's involvement, Sakura's dad being alive and mom being submissive, a dubcon/predator-type Itachi (I knooooow 😱) mentions of SasuKarin and a whole bunch of nonsense), you can read the original brainstorming from 2013: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QCy_QLKnmdSS153Rw6zWZKkKMSOBMHgxmynuFA_X3mY/edit?usp=drivesdk
There's seriously a ton of planning docs, but I think those are probably the most interesting/less research-driven ones. If you ever have questions or want more, please feel free to ask away! I promise I'm incredibly happy to oblige 💜💜💜

Weekly Heads-Up and Results of the Questionnaire
Coming Up:
some NSFW-headcanon about Yamato ^^ Finally managed to get that one done >-< It will be posted next week on Saturday, as a little in-between content ^^
Also, I typed the angsty Obito one-shot up, which will be posted in two weeks on Saturday!
Working On:
A Kisame idea I had a while ago. Basically, he’s a lifeguard at the local lake and the reader visits with her nephew to cool down on a hot summer day. The reader has some weight insecurities, too, which will be interesting to write and incorporate ^^ I have no idea how long this will become, but knowing me, I won’t be able to stay beneath three chapters ^^’‘ SFW so far, but definitely has the potential to become NSFW as well ;D
Otherwise, not so much. I’m keeping it slow and relaxed at the moment, after I didn’t write for nearly one week and only typed up the one one-shot in the second one. But as you can see, I can’t stay down for too long ^^’‘
I have no idea when I will post something again after the Obito one-shot, but I will let you guys know as soon as I know. Thank you for all the support! :D
Now, to the Results of the questionnaire.
First, a big thanks to the 14 people who were so kind to answer my questions! It means a lot to me, as those answers allow me to see what I can focus on next ^^
Alright: here we go:
First question was, what you guys would like to see more of in the future. We have a clear winner for this one.
Tumblr media
1) more fics with 13 votes
2) more personal stuff and little updates with 8 votes
2) tied with headcanons and scenarios with 8 votes
and 3) is a discord server with 5 votes.
more interaction with the tumblr crowd (4 votes), writing the requests (3 votes), Kakashi fics (1 vote) and whatever makes me happy (1 vote).
That already gave me a huge pointer on what to focus next. More fics are of course a no-brainer for me as well, but I honestly wouldn’t have guessed you would like to see/hear more from me on a personal level. I have kept it low in that regard because I honestly wasn’t sure if that would be even interesting, but from here on out I will try to give more personal updates as well :) Also, headcanons and scenarios could help me improve in keeping things short, so I will see what I can do in that regard. And, last but not least, the discord server ^^ I have a server in the works and will keep working away on it, plus finding people willing to mod and improve the server as well. When I’m halfway happy with the first version of the server, I will post an invite link ^^
The next question was: Apart from the usual suspects I write, do you wish to see other characters written by me?
And the answer was a very decisive and telling...
tie.
Tumblr media
Together with the logical follow-up question: What other characters would you like to see written by me? The answers were:
Shisui (2 votes)
Kisame (1 vote)
Shikamaru (1 vote)
Genma (1 vote)
Itachi (2 votes)
and Akatsuki characters in general, for example Konan or Yahiko.
Also, anyone I’m comfortable with, whatever character I want or more Yamato and Kakashi were given as answers. Which is also very telling ;D
Given the fact that there are wishes (and, dare I say it, need) for other characters than the ones I currently write most, I will think about other ideas to incorporate the named characters soon ^^
Last question was for any other advice and hope for the future of the blog and my fanfiction writing in general. And what can I say except that you guys are way too nice to me T^T9 Literally all of you left a compliment. Literally all of you, and I’m being honest here, I was a bit choked up when I saw the amount of positivity there. Thank you all so much for your participation, and I’m so glad you all like my writing so much you want to help me become better.
That would be it! Really short and to the point ^^ Again, thank you all for the support and the love you have shown me recently, it means so much to me. Then, see you all next Saturday for some spicy NSFW-headcanon/scenario for Yamato ;D Stay safe and sound, you all! :D
