Out of all of the people The Ghost King Phantom expected to relate to, it definitely wasn’t the scrawny red headed photographer of the Daily Planet. Jimmy Olsen has gotten so many temporary superpowers over his time being Superman’s friend. Hell, he once gained a 4th dimensional being’s reality warping abilities when he was given said dimensional being’s powers during a fight. Sure there’s a dozen or so heroes with the same amount of powers he has, but none as suddenly granted to them as a all powerful god that can relate to a teenager.

Jimmy & Lois and Bruce & Diana are those two friend groups that would never mix if Clark can help it.

Lois and Bruce get along well (their favorite activity is taking down corrupt corporations together) and her and Diana are really awkward but respectful.

for jimmy, it’s the opposite. Both him and Diana have an innocent curiosity and admiration of the world, but only Superman’s heat vision can cut the tension between him and Batman. (they both think they’re Superman’s best friend and are willing to fight over it)

Tim Drake Compendium 1 is truly unparalleled reading experience because we’ll have Batman #480 where Tim reflects on and grapples with his complicated, complex relationship with father as he has changed in ways his father can never understand and he both loves his father and resents him a little as he is torn between child and caretaker while also having a vigilante double life that is about to get a lot more messy for him.

And then the next 2 issues he’s teaming up with Jimmy Olsen and Superman to fight vampires in Metropolis.

The tonal whiplash is one of the fucking funniest I’ve ever seen with one of the most unhinged stories I’ve read so far. Absolutely bonkers.

in the bfu/cryptid hunting au, they actually did go on that sasquatch hunt and only SOME bad things happened. Jimmy had the time of his life and Clark had a heart attack.

Obsessed with the idea of Clark, after months of months of intense, depressing cases, getting his investigative friends back together to have one fun, simple mystery... on a murder mystery cruise. Too simple, unfortunately, as most of them solve it immediately and spend the rest of the trip desperately pretending they hadn't already figured it out.

Bruce and Lois are in lockstep at the back of the pack pretending to be clueless but under their breaths are maliciously trying to out spoil the next big reveal for each other. Bruce has a keen eye for the props and details, while Lois knows how a story is written, resulting in a wicked but equal back and forth.

Clark has his eyes locked straight ahead trying desperately not to listen to the actors practicing their lines in the next room over... and ends up blocking out most of the actual plot. Regardless of whether a clue he picks up is intentionally placed or not, he tries his best to forget it immediately and just "enjoy the experience".

The crew had hope for Jimmy. He's a nice young man—very engaged. Little too engaged. Never comes close to solving the case but came out with a very comprehensive knowledge of the first (and only the first) character's backstory. He goes missing after the first few hours and spends the next two days lost in the bellows of the ship investigating the life of the boat's first owner and the many adventures it has been on since. None of it useful to the scripted mystery, but it's significantly more interesting.

In the end, the only ones who properly solve the case are the two old ladies who coincidentally got tickets for the same weekend. Most of their progress could be attributed to Dick's help, however, as he split his time between aiding them and trying to get Alfred a cameo role in the plot.

Lois writes a shoddy review of cruise a week later. The plot is significantly more complex than actually staged—reliant more on how she and Bruce thought the story went (or was going to go), and less on any true memories. The accompanying photos of an old privateer's maps and the musty lost rooms of the ship's hull only aid in the confusion. Clark cannot provide clarification when asked and the review is eventually scraped.

All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable, if utterly unproductive, vacation.

Danny was a young boy of 14 years old, he was an only child as his sister passed away due to complications. His parents so afraid for their little boy sharing the same fate so they lock him away from the world. When his parents leave for the store Danny gets the idea to explore the basement…

he gets into his portal accident we all know by now but a natural portal forms right as he’s stumbling out of the portal… At this point you can throw him into Gotham or Metropolis but the point is basically, he has newly acquired powers and has no idea how the world works besides what his parents told him which let’s be real probably isn’t much…
