A Millennium of Changes
(BETA READ BY @pumpkin-pepperz :) thanks pookie)
Summary: Everyone thought that the new baby Monkey would age like a mortal, after all, they were in the mortal realm and the baby was made in that realm… why would it age differently?
No one expected it to take so long
TLDR:The egg takes 35 celestial months to hatch, which roughly equates to 1,050 years in the mortal realm.
Takes place just after this chapter!
Warning:Heavy Angst(There is also heavy comfort to help don’t worry), Many Major Character Deaths, Transmasculine individual (MK) getting pregnant and giving birth(though it’s not a significant plot point).
This work was written by someone who did not grow up in Chinese culture, and while there are little references to the culture I still want to acknowledge that I am not the most educated on the practices and traditions of said culture.
Notes before the fic(skippable. Skip to *’s): This was based on an idea I had while sick where the egg takes 35 celestial months to grow. And one celestial day is one mortal year. Which I will guide you through the math now.
35 months x approximately 30 days per month = 1,050 days. Converting to Mortal Time is 1,050 years or 12,600 months. They have already completed 9 months in the comic at the time of writing this (may fifth) so that’s 12,591 months or 1,049.25 years. Which is a long time. In the comic it is established that MK is immortal and we already know that Redson is a half celestial, half demon, so of the main group them two are the only one likely to be alive after that long.
Tang is Papa and Pigsy is Dad.
**************************************
”You’ll see- Next time I call you, You’ll finally meet your new sibling… I Promise.”
Those were the last words he heard before his dads went into a deep meditation. It was essentially a magical coma.
MK was worried for his dad, he looked so tired, and his Mama had already passed out. He worried they wouldn’t wake up, but his Baba assured him they would.
MK went home with his Dad and his Papa. His Papa took him for a much needed haircut in the morning, he practically had a mane by now and he wasn’t to keen on having long hair.
MK focused on other relationships. His Dad’s shop was still busy, rightfully so, it was the best noodle shop in town. He still liked listening to his Papa’s wisdom and learning from the scholar. He had therapy with Sandy and his clowder of many cats. He trained with Mei and Redson, outside of hanging out and little dates.
Of course he visited his Baba and Mama every weekend, made sure all the things they had prepared for the baby stayed well taken care of. They’d need it when that baby finally hatched.
But MK started to worry as more and more weeks passed without so much as a sign the baby would hatch.
Eventually the first year passed. His Papa told him that maybe the baby was going to take the full 35 months. That thought both soothed and worried him, almost three years? That’s a long time.
He was worried some new villain would come back, and he wouldn’t have his mentor to help.
He talked to Sandy and he was able to slowly come to terms with that. Telling himself that the baby would be okay and he had a huge support system to help incase something did happen.
He’d focused on living instead of worried. Focus on what can be now, instead of what could’ve been.
He invested his time in growing, learning, becoming someone to be a hero and becoming better and better.
He cooked with Pigsy, the noodle shop had been there since before he was born. He loved cooking with his Dad and he always wanted to continue it. His Dad liked to impart wisdom onto him much like his Papa, (he was beginning to see why they were married) whether it be about trusting his senses over a recipe or some cooking metaphor for life. Things like: “Things are the best when you wait for the perfect time.”
He read more with his Papa, talking about myths and stories. The two of them even ventured outside Chinese Mythos and looked into all kinds of myths and legends. He enjoyed learning and taking in wisdom. Though their time together wasn’t restricted by myths. He also learned things from his Papa about human nature and philosophy. He learned that even though sleep was a vital part of mortal life, it’s still important for Celestial and Immortals because outside of the physical body, the mind benefited greatly from sleep. Sleep allows the mind a break to reset for the next day, to sort all the things you learn into their places and make sure you remember everything.
That’s when he started taking his sleep more seriously. If he was going to be immortal he needed to keep his mind healthy.
He took care of animals with Sandy and went hiking and camping with him, learning about nature and meditation. Sandy also likes to impart wisdom onto him (He was beginning to notice a pattern) about nature and how to learn to value to little beauties in everything.
He played video games with Mei, they always had fun. They also trained both with and without Redson. Though they all trained with and without each other. He focused on spending as much time doing their favorite things: watching movies, shows, playing games. They went to concerts and even tried plays.
He went on dates with Redson. They did picnics occasionally, but they also began cooking together. MK watched him work in the workshop. He and Mei introduced him to shows they thought he’d like. Much to everyone’s surprise and unsurprisingly he took a liking to cooking shows like DBK did.
He even connected with Nezha more, they were both princes and despite Nezha being a bit of a rule-follower, he liked MK’s defiance and rowdy attitude.
It was hard but he managed to live without being consumed by his worry. There were days where he was a bit bed bound with worry and sadness, but his family came and helped him. They all loved MK and MK loved them.
The trouble came when the third year passed. Why weren’t they awake? Why was the egg still unhatched? Why were his parents still so tired looking?
After days of frantic research with the help of MK, Nezha and other people, his Papa found something.
Apparently, sometimes celestial gestation progresses at the rate of the Celestial Realm even if they are in the Mortal Realm. A factor they didn’t know to consider. This information hit everyone like 67 consecutive trains.
The egg would take centuries to hatch… MK would face his immortality without his immortal parents. He would grieve almost everyone around him without his parents. He was… alone.
They couldn’t even undo the spell, because awake or not the baby needed Wukong and Macaque’s power to grow. Not to mention that undoing a spell like this could be dangerous, it would undo on its own when the baby was hatched and the two Celestial Monkeys were healthy. Them being asleep was safer and easier. It was hard but they couldn’t undo the spell that sealed them away
MK cried that day, that week, that month. He was scared, he was terrified. How was he going to survive over a thousand years without his parents?
But he knew mourning was only going to eat at the time. He had more therapy with Sandy. It would take an incredibly long time, but he needed it.
He focused even more on his family. He wanted his to see his life and he wanted to squeeze everything he had into time with them. MK grew closer and closer to his family. He knew by the time his Baba and Mama woke up, the time he spent with his Dad, Papa, Sandy and Mei would be a grain of sand in an an hourglass, but he didn’t care. It was his family.
It felt like centuries already when 7 years passed since they found out, and 10 since his Mama and Baba went to sleep. He hoped that was a good sign. His Dads noodle shop only grew bigger and they made more money. MK even offered to move out to make room for having more guests. MK was basically 34 years old and still living with them but they denied the notion. They said he’d have years to lived outside their house, they wanted him there.
MK didn’t argue.
He and Redson took it slow, but in mortal terms, which might’ve been fast for Demons but Redson nor his family said anything about it. After the first five years of their relationship, they spent a spent together, they both were new to it but it was a night they both enjoyed and never regretted.
After 15 years, they got married. MK knew it might’ve been a little fast. After all his Mama and Baba were engaged for… what 2,000 years before they married? But MK wanted his Dad and Papa to see him get married and Redson agreed that was a good idea. He didn’t mention that his mother had been pestering him for over a decade about getting married and having children with MK.
His Dad and Redson had already spent time together, they were close. But they only got closer when they started cooking together. Now they’d have family cooking nights where MK, Redson, and Pigsy, would cook a big meal and they’d all eat as family. More often than they’d expected, Redson’s family would also come, and DBK would join in cooking.
Those nights were MK’s favorite, his entire family was together.
Somehow in all his packed time with family, he still visited his Mama and Baba at the mountain, while he knew they likely wouldn’t wake up for another ten centuries. He still wanted to visit, talk to them even if they probably couldn’t hear him.
As his family got older, he valued the time more and more. He planned to take over the Noodle Shop. Not out of some obligation or anything. His Dad and Papa had made sure he knew that they wouldn’t be upset if he chose to do something else. He wanted to take on the business. It was his entire life, his first meal, his home. He wanted to live there forever.
MK took care of his parents when they got older. He wanted to, they took him in as a kid and they had a pretty substantial amount of saving to help with these delicate years. Pigsy, despite always talking about having a ‘Noodle Empire’, never bothered to expand. He was content with one shop, one building, one family.
MK hired more trained professionals, of course, to help him as the years passed. He wasn’t a nurse and elderly people had a lot of health concerns that he wasn’t trained to be able to accommodate. But he still did most of it, he learned to do it.
Mei got older too, she got a job as a professional racer. She was happy and MK made sure she practiced safe driving. He wasn’t about to let his best friend die in a fiery crash. That would be cringe of her.
Sandy got older too, and as his own years passed he began to coach MK through that, how to handle grief and understand death without fearing it. How it was natural and how it wasn’t the end. It was only a bridge to new beginnings. Sandy taught MK that life wasn’t about avoiding death, it was about enjoying the time we have. About forming connections and understanding each other. Death was inevitable, yes, but life was also inevitable.
Almost every single creature on earth would make at least one meaningful connection. It was simple math. We are born from someone and that very person is often our first relationship, and earth isn’t even close to being underpopulated. To live a life on earth and not make one single connection was a statistical wonder. It would take effort. Humans especially were inherently social creatures, they hunted in groups in the beginning of the species and now they lived in cities and villages with thriving cultures and family. The purpose of life, Sandy told him, was to give life a purpose.
MK buried Tang first, he was fully human and even though he was younger than Pigsy, demons just simply had a longer lifespan. It was peaceful, without pain or sadness. MK brought Pigsy to the grave to visit everyday, he replace the flowers at the first sign of wilt, lit incense and talked with Pigsy to Tang. It was comforting that they had more confirmation than other mortals often did that there was an afterlife.
MK mourned, Pigsy mourned, everyone mourned. Tang was a good man, he had a heart that was bigger than himself and an intellect to match. He always sought to understand the people around him and see the best in others.
Pigsy didn’t live much long after, he was older than Tang and the two of them were just barely older than Sandy. MK made sure they were buried together. Even if they weren’t alive in those bodies, they had stuck together longer than MK had been alive at that point and he wanted them to stay together long after they departed.
Sandy helped him grieve, though it was made significantly easier with the therapy before the deaths. It was more practice than anything.
MK continued to make human connections. He didn’t let his immortality swallow him. He learned that life was precious and even Redson began to grow friendly with a handful of mortals.
True to his word, MK took over the noodle shop with Redson. It was a family business and Redson had been apart of the family longer than they had been married.
Mei stayed close, she was a well known racer and she was a near expert at it, but she wanted to live in Megapolis. Her family was there, biologically and emotionally. She spent a lot of time with MK and Redson, the three of them were inseparable and even if she couldn’t cook she still had much to offer. She had humor and company and family.
Sandy encouraged MK to continue therapy after his passing, the kid was very stable and had a good support system, but therapy was always a good decision. It helps and it’s better to keep it up, rather than to wait for a catalyst and need more extensive help. Waiting until some breaking point would only make issues worse and take longer to deal with. It’s always a better decision to refine something than wait till it breaks to repair it.
MK mourned when he buried Sandy, of course he did. Sandy was an important figure in his life, he helped him through so much. But he also knew how to continue with himself. Sandy had taught him well.
Redson and Mk took a long time to have kids, not because they couldn’t but because MK had a small fear that he would get stuck in a thousand year rest like his family. But with patience and a heap of therapy, they decided to have one. MK was a little sad his parents couldn’t meet their grandchild but MK knew his parents would rather him be happy than to rush his life just to have them see it.
MK decided on his own that he wanted to carry the child. He didn’t want to follow the egg route, he wanted children but he didn’t want to miss out on a millennia just to have baby. Not that his parents were less for choosing to do that. He knew they wouldn’t have done this on purpose.
So they began to try for a baby, much to Mei’s teasing. It didn’t take long for them to conceive and 9 months later they brought the cutest little boy into the world. Redson and MK ended up naming him a classic name for triumph or victory, Kai. When the baby finally opened his eyes, they were like a mirror image of Redson’s, deep red like dark fire, like the fire he created.
There was some worry among them that Kai would end up creating a second Samadhi Fire like Redson. So they made him a necklace with a pendant carving with a bull and a monkey surrounded by fire. One the back was written three things.
小宝宝(xiǎo bǎobǎo), meaning "little baby."
火焰猴 (huǒyàn hòu), meaning “flaming monkey.”
凯旋 (kǎixuán), meaning “triumph.”
When Kai was born they had a baby shower soon after, it was nice. Life was good for them. They felt at peace, life was going.
MK was still taking care of Flower fruit Mountain, after all, their king was incapacitated, which kinda made him acting leader, then again they were monkeys and they managed to be alright before, but he liked to visit and keep the place nice and clean.
Kai got older, and while he had intense fire power, he hadn’t created a second reality burning fire yet. So they were a bit calmer about the matter. Mei loved the little guy. He was irresistibly cute.
Kai aged slower too, his infancy last almost 5 years. He was a toddler for 10 years. It only grew slower but never old. Before long he was a kid, looking about 8 or 9.
Mei got a bit more time than the rest, she aged slow because of her dragon heritage but she was far from fully draconic. So time did what it does, and Mei passed away. MK and Redson mourned her, that part would never be in question, they buried her with honor, just like the rest. Kai missed her, she was his auntie, Mei took him on motorcycle rides and he watched the old Monkey King movies with her.
Kai was raised knowing the history of his grandparents, he visited Flower Fruit Mountain with his parents and for the first few years of visits he would play with the other cubs and monkeys, eating fruit and roughhousing.
After the first few years, Kai began to stay by his parents, ever curious about what they talked about with two men who probably couldn’t hear them.
After a while he came to realize they talked because they cared. Because even if there was a slight chance that they could hear them, then it was worth it. That’s why he started doing it more, he talked to Mei when they visited her grave and even his other grandparents as well as Sandy. He didn’t meet them, but he wanted them to know him.
Before they knew it, 100 years had passed since Wukong and Macaque went under. Kai was a tween and he was making friends. Both immortal and human. MK and Redson taught him at home, that how both of them knew it and they both turned out okay.
MK and Redson had made friends as well that had also died but they had other families to bury them, he still visited, he cared for them no less. That’s how it continued.
Megapolis grew around them, not big, the city was already pretty good, but trees get bigger and buildings change, even just slightly. They all fell into a bit of a routine, a pleasant one that always seemed to find new ways to keep them from boring to death.
Pigsy’s Noodles continued to remain one of the best restaurants in the city and it stayed a staple of Megapolis. It brought in amazing business and good money.
Demons were becoming more and more integrated into daily life, MK and Redson obviously participated heavily in that, earning a reputation for their acceptance, though to them it was basic decency.
Demons were beginning to become more and more accepting as generations progressed and less of them were driven to crime because of it. They were getting help and proper healthcare instead of being shunned to the corners of society’s shadows. MK found himself acting in a hero role less and less, which he found himself proud of. It meant he did a good job.
By the 9th century, demons were everywhere, they were apart of the culture and everyone grew better because of it. More and more of Megapolis became accessible to everyone, literature became richer and fuller, education and intelligence rates of the schools and districts surrounding them began to rise.
Megapolis was quickly becoming a growing community of vibrant individuals and friends. MK found comfort in the fact that Sandy, his Dad and Papa, would be proud of the world that this was becoming.
MK hadn’t even realized how long it had been since his parents fell asleep growing the egg.
Before long, Kai was an elder teenager, nearly a thousand years old.
MK, Redson and Kai were at the mountain, Red had gone to tidy up the house and make sure everything was ready, even if they thought they weren’t even close to when MK’s parents would wake up. It was still routine. MK was training with Kai, something they had started a hundred odd years ago.
That’s when a bright light came from the mountaintop where Macaque, Wukong and the egg were. MK halted in his step and Kai nearly tackled him before he realized.
Wukong woke with a start, the spell had fallen around them moment ago and Macaque woke up at the same time as him. They both look toward to egg, only to see a little monkey cub in its place.
Their Baby
Wukong and Macaque cried with joy and they both gathered the cub into their arms.
That was until they notice how big the tree near them had gotten, and the vines growing in the rocks, evidence of more age than they expected.
How long had they been out?
That’s when they heard it. A voice, not their sons. Not MK’s but one that called for his Dad.
The boy called for his Papa, urging him to wait for his Dad. He sounded worried but Wukong didn’t care for details. If there was an intruder he needed to protect his cub. He pulled his staff out of his ear. And held it ready.
With a clang, the staff dropped when he saw his own son, his adult son standing there instead of the younger man they remembered him being. Both of their heart sank, tears welled up in their eyes as they realized.
How long has it been, they wanted to ask. But their son, a millennium older and wiser, answered before they could.
One thousand fifty years, he said. The two men were horrified at that answer. They’d been asleep that long? That was a terrifying notion.
Their world only grew harder to believe when a teenager in a red shirt, soon followed by Redson, appeared up the mountain. Redson was shocked and came to MK’s side. Wukong covered his mouth for a moment, slowly connecting the dots that the teenager was his grandson.
Macaque looked worried that their son would hate them for this, that fear melted when MK ran to them and hugged them tightly, careful not to hurt the baby.
Macaque and Wukong hugged their son back and Redson guided his son toward the cuddle pile.
MK rambled about the past millennia to his waking parents for a while before explaining that they had gotten married and had a son. MK looked toward Kai, motioning for him to introduce himself.
“Hello… I’m Kai, I’m your grandson.”
THE END(?)

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ Teacher Tigress (=මᆽම=)Part 1 Part 2
: ̗̀➛ MK
: ̗̀➛ He tries to act normal around you, but it's obvious he's nervous. You have this intense aura that makes him feel like any wrong move could result in a punch (which… isn’t entirely wrong).
: ̗̀➛ “Are you like… stronger than Macaque?” “Do you want to find out firsthand?” “No, ma’am.”
: ̗̀➛ At first, he tries to break the ice with jokes and banter… You don’t laugh. That hurts his pride a little.
: ̗̀➛ He realizes that the only way to earn your respect is through dedication to training. So, for the first time, he stops talking and actually focuses.
: ̗̀ When he finally manages to block one of your attacks, he gets so happy he yells, "I DID IT!" … And then you take him down in one swift move.
: ̗̀➛ After a while, he starts following you around like a puppy. He wants to hear your stories, learn your techniques, and understand how you became so incredible.
: ̗̀➛ One day, he casually asks, “Were you always this tough, or did something happen?” The look on your face makes him instantly regret the question.
: ̗̀➛ MK doesn’t know exactly what Wukong did, but he feels like it was something big. He tries to mediate, only to realize you don’t want mediation at all.
: ̗̀➛ He shivers a little when you call him by his full name in that warning tone.
: ̗̀➛ He starts seeing you as an older sister—one he respects a lot but is also slightly afraid of annoying.
: ̗̀➛ Mei
: ̗̀➛ Mei becomes completely obsessed with you the moment she meets you.
: ̗̀➛ “WAIT, WAIT, YOU’RE A REAL TIGRESS??”
: ̗̀➛ She has absolutely no fear of bombarding you with random questions. “Have you ever hunted anything? How does your bite compare to a shark’s?”
: ̗̀➛ After seeing you in action, she starts calling you “Sensei Tigress” and refuses to stop.
: ̗̀➛ She desperately wants to see a fight between you and Wukong. When she suggests it, both of you look away.
: ̗̀➛ “What? What?? What am I missing?!”
: ̗̀➛ You respect Mei’s energy, but sometimes she talks too much.
: ̗̀➛ When you finally praise one of her moves in training, she freaks out.
: ̗̀➛ You overhear Mei and MK whispering about your past once. Your ear twitches, and they freeze.
: ̗̀➛ She places mental bets on when you and Wukong will resolve this tension.
: ̗̀➛ She feels proud when you call her by her name without sighing first.
: ̗̀➛ Pigsy
Pigsy isn’t surprised when he meets you. He’s seen too much to be shocked anymore.
: ̗̀➛ “Ah. So, you’re a tigress. Big deal. Want some noodles?”
: ̗̀➛ He treats you with quiet kindness, no questions or judgment.
: ̗̀➛ You don’t usually accept gifts, but you accept his food. It’s the one offering you allow.
: ̗̀➛ He notices the tension between you and Wukong on the first day. But unlike the others, he doesn’t try to understand or ask.
: ̗̀➛ You respect that.
: ̗̀➛ “I don’t like people who talk too much.” “Then why are you surrounded by them?”
: ̗̀➛ He notices how your eyes look more tired when you think no one is watching.
: ̗̀➛ When he senses you’re too tense, he simply places a plate of food in front of you without saying anything.
: ̗̀➛ One day, he says, “If you ever want to talk about it, it doesn’t have to be now.” You never respond, but something in your posture relaxes slightly.
: ̗̀➛ He knows that, deep down, you’re just waiting for a reason to trust someone again.
: ̗̀➛ Sandy
: ̗̀➛ Sandy loves you from the moment he meets you.
: ̗̀➛ He doesn’t mind your silence. In fact, he enjoys it.
: ̗̀➛ You feel comfortable around him because he doesn’t fill the space with unnecessary words.
: ̗̀➛ His cat likes you, which makes you lower your guard a little faster than usual.
: ̗̀➛ He notices that you never truly relax. You’re always in a defensive stance, even when you seem at ease.
: ̗̀➛ He tries to teach you breathing techniques to ease your tension. You resist at first, but eventually, you try.
: ̗̀➛ “So… you and Wukong have a long history, huh?” You narrow your eyes, and he raises his hands. “No judgment.”
: ̗̀➛ He sees how Wukong watches you when he thinks no one is looking.
: ̗̀➛ He never pushes you to talk, but he makes it clear that if you need a safe space, he’s there.
: ̗̀➛ You appreciate that more than you can express.
: ̗̀➛ One day, he sets a cup of tea beside you and just sits there. No conversation, no expectations. Just silent company. You don’t admit it, but it makes you feel… better.
: ̗̀➛ Tang
: ̗̀➛ Tang has so many questions.
: ̗̀➛ “YOU WERE PART OF THE JOURNEY TO THE WEST???”
: ̗̀➛ He freaks out and starts listing all the stories about Wukong, trying to figure out where you might have been.
: ̗̀➛ You stay silent. This makes him even more curious.
: ̗̀➛ He quickly realizes that your issue with Wukong runs deep.
: ̗̀➛ He tries to bring up legends, but you don’t seem interested.
: ̗̀➛ He tries, tries, and tries again—until one day, you casually drop a small, insignificant piece of information. To him, it’s like winning the lottery.
: ̗̀➛ “A-ha! So, you really fought demons!”
: ̗̀➛ He respects your strength, but he wants to know more about your story.
: ̗̀➛ One day, he catches you looking at Wukong’s statue with a complicated expression. He pretends not to notice.
: ̗̀➛ You think he talks too much, but deep down, you get used to it.
: ̗̀➛ Macaque
: ̗̀➛ Macaque lives for the tension between you and Wukong.
: ̗̀➛ He can tell the moment he sees you that there’s a lot of unresolved history.
: ̗̀➛ “So… The Great Sage had a partner in the past?” “I was not his partner.”
: ̗̀➛ He teases Wukong about it every chance he gets.
: ̗̀➛ “You know, she has every right to hate you.” “SHUT UP, MACAQUE.”
: ̗̀➛ He tries to get details out of you, but you don’t take the bait.
: ̗̀➛ However, he knows Wukong hurt you somehow.
: ̗̀➛ “If I were you, I’d make him crawl a little more before forgiving him.”
: ̗̀➛ You roll your eyes but don’t respond.
: ̗̀➛ Deep down, he respects you. Maybe because, on some level, he understands your pain better than the others do.
: ̗̀➛ “When you want revenge… just call me.” You don’t answer. He smirks, because he knows you considered it.
: ̗̀➛ Sun Wukong
: ̗̀➛ WHAT CAN HE DO TO FIX THIS??? HE DOESN’T KNOW!!!
: ̗̀➛ You avoid eye contact. He avoids it too, but for the wrong reasons.
: ̗̀➛ Every short answer you give feels like a dagger to his chest.
: ̗̀➛ He tries to act casual, crack jokes, but it doesn’t work anymore.
: ̗̀➛ “Are you still mad about that?” The glare you give him is so cold that he nearly shrinks back.
: ̗̀➛ He wants to apologize, but he doesn’t know how.
: ̗̀➛ Worse yet: he doesn’t know if he deserves forgiveness.
: ̗̀➛ For the first time in centuries, Sun Wukong is scared. Not of you. But of losing you forever.

♡ — 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
WARNING: slight nsfw, bunnies

imagine being one of the only female best friend's of Mei, and somehow you haven't met the Monkey King at all the first season or two
you didn't really give a shit to begin with
sure, it was amazing having MK as a best friend AND successor to some immortal jackass
all you've heard from MK is that Wukong was—
"HE'S THE BEESST!" MK squealed as he swung the red staff around in the air, swiftly doing stances with each turn. "Just as the legend says, [Name]! He's strong, handsome, and- and- he taught me that you should ALWAYS believe in yourself—"
"MK, I could have told you that myself."
though, there was a small part of you that wasn't atleast curious of what or who Sun Wukong is
it seemed MK talked about you alot, because sometimes Wukong asked for you to join
"Hey [Name]." MK would approach you as you held twenty dishes in hand, "Monkey King asked me... to ask you, if you wanted to- sort of- join in on the training—?"
that'd be when MK would receive a wooden spoon to the back of his head, sending him flying to the ground face-first
"HELL NO! HE GOT ONE OF YOU, I'M NOT LETTING HIM TAKE THE OTHER!" Pigsy would screech, somehow spawning another wooden spoon in his palms.
after that, MK stayed for shifts a bit longer than expected‐ you'd ask why and he'd tell you Monkey King seemed like he was sulking, so he gave him a break
weird stuff
it was during personal training that you'd finally meet the Great Sage‐ not under great circumstances
and no, it wasn't for the end of the world
MK was prepping his own moves, with you on the side for... support? Mei came around in a bit, sitting beside you.
"I wonder what else I can do.." MK mumbled to himself, pushing his hand out as it began to glow a bright yellow. "YAAAAAAAHH!"
everything went black
and you slowly opened your eyes to see Mei beating the absolute shit out of MK
"I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY, I'M SORRY—"
"YOU TURNED MY BEST FRIEND INTO A BUNNY- CHANGE HER BACK, NOW!"
you blinked, looked down, and screamed.
you quickly rushed- well, hopped‐ towards a full-length mirror and gazed upon yourself.
you turned into a life-sized bunny
half the day was spent with MK trying to turn you back but nothing worked, just a sweaty man on the floor and a whole lot of sobbing apologies
it would've been fine but you were starting to do strange things
like, you hated Pigsy for example
"Kid, what the hell is up with you?" Pigsy asked, his eyes filled with nothing but concern.
"Don't TOUCH me!"
you found some menstrual pads, chocolate, and some take-out noodles on your bed the next day
you weren't on your period.
you nudged people, head-butted, and didn't sleep at all at night
sometimes you'd watch MK sleep and he'd wake up to your purring, and then others would wake up to his terrified screams
finally, MK took you to Flower Fruit Mountain- he couldn't turn you back himself, but someone can
that'd be the Monkey King himself
you were especially weird this week- you had made a dirty den in the shop, growling at anyone who came near
so, yeah, that was kind of the last straw for Pigsy
when Monkey King came out to greet MK and Mei, he never did
he squealed at the sight of you, pushing the kids aside (quite roughly, sending them flying off the stairs) and rushed you with open arms
he kissed your face, nibbling your cheeks— a part of him actually thought you were an early birthday gift
"O-M-G! You're so cute! What brought you here, hmmmm? Oooooooo, I just wanna eat you up and put you in my pocket-" He babbled nonsense as he carried you, pinching your cheeks.
that was until you practically pounced on his face, pulling his nose close to yours as you stared into his eyes.
"You'd give me great kittens."
"...Oh?"
It took MK a while to try and separate you both and it took a while longer convincing Wukong to turn you back
"Look, man, I need you to bring her back to her- you know, normal self."
"But why????"
"You KNOW why!"
"If dealing with her is so difficult, I could... take her off your hands—"
"MONKEY KING." "DON'T YOU DARE!"
"WHAAAAATTTT?"
eventually, after like two days, MK convinced Wukong. it would've taken longer if it weren't for you actually telling him that you wanted to be yourself again
after Wukong's dramatic tears and hard hugs, he turned you back
lucky for you, you don't remember anything that happened after being converted
well, lucky for like a few seconds after you got back to the shop
"So you kind of asked Monkey King to, uh.." MK got close to your ears, whispering the rest."
your face went red, "I did what?"
"I think he was into it too—"
"WHAT?"

Lmk au idea.
Wukong isn't MK's teacher. At least, not in the same way he is in the show.
In this idea I had randomly pop into my head I'm thinking that Wukong had gone above and beyond simply vanishing for 500 years and hiding out on FFM. He straight up changed his identity and went into hiding as a mortal. He says fuck off to being a demon god, fuck off to all the gods and celestials and all his titles. He retires, fully and completely, passing his crown off to his Stalwarts and just becomes a wanderer traveling around, doing odd jobs and never staying in one place too long.
At some point over the centuries he ends up back in the village that he left his staff in, or rather, whay it became. A sprawling metropolis of a city that a person trying to disappear can easily do so. He set up shop, having had many hats over the years he's able to easily pick up a humble job nobody would blink twice at. Mechanics are always sorely needed in large cities after all.
One day at his shop a hauntingly familiar fave appears at his doorstep. Pigsy's truck had broken down while he was out with baby MK on a supply run and Wukong's shop had been the closest mechanic they could find. Wukong could sense something was special about MK, but not what or why and after he fixed up the truck he spent the next hour or so reminding himself that he is not Sun Wukong anymore, he is not part of that life anymore. Unfortunately, or fortunately, Wukong's mechanic work was something Pigsy liked, a lot. The truck was running smoother than if ever did before and the price was a steal! Wukong quickly became the favorite mechanic shop for Pigsy's Noodles and MK began to show up more often at the mechanic shop (he crashed a lot of stuff ok). Wukong ends up becoming the cool mechanic dude who helped teach MK how to mod his hoverboard and would often drop cryptic but helpful advice to the kid, Wukong having settled with the idea that he can look after the kid at least since it doesn't look like Zu Baijie's decendant or the kid were going to go away anytime soon. This led to meeting Tang and Mei, which were... experiences. And Wukong just ends up being a family friend to the Noodle Gang who likes cold vegetarian noodles.
Then a Hero is Born happens. Wukong hadn't been there for that experience. He was "on a supply run" when DBK was freed, he was in a different town entirely. So he wasnt physically present when MK became the Monkie Kid. It doesn't mean he wasn't completely uninvolved, though. Wukong isn't stupid, he knows DBK would eventually be freed, and he also knew it was possible someone else would pick up his staff. Afterall the staff had chosen him, not the other way around. It isn't unfeasable to imagine it'd pick another now that it's owner has put it down. Plus it isn't entirely impossible to imagine whoever it is would seek him out, he was the last known person to wield the Ruyi Jingu Bang after all.
He left a series of visions and astral projected recordings in his cave. The first being triggered should anyone breach his cave, the vision MK first sees when he enters Water Curtain Cave, only it doesn't stop at Wukong just running off. The projection speaks.
Wukong's recording. Looking as laid back and amused as can be: If you're seeing this, congrats! You got past my unstoppable barrier! Unfortunately I'm afraid that you won't be able to find me, as I would have been long gone from this place and am retired! So if your here for an autograph I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to leave.
MK: WHAT!?
Wukong's recording, becoming serious and almost sad: If you are a friend, however. I want to say I'm sorry, but please don't go seeking me out. I am hanging up my crown and title as the Great Sage and the Monkey King, and I don't not wish to be disturbed. Over the centuries I've come to realize my whole life I've done nothing but hurt the people I care about, so... for everyone's sake... I'm disappearing so that I can't hurt anyone again. Ever. And if you find my staff, I'm sorry I can't be there to help you. But I'll give you a piece of advice I learned, believe in yourself. Even just a smidge can make all the difference.
MK is gobsmacked at the thought that Sun Wukong had just up and left like that, that he's been gone for a long time and won't be able to help. He decides if Wukong wasn't there to be a hero anymore, he'd do it for him. Just a smidge makes a difference, right?
And so the Monkie Kid becomes the Monkie Kid. Over the next season or so he struggles a lot with his powers, not having a proper mentor. See, unlike the rest of the Noodle Gang, since Wukong wasn't physically present when MK became the town hero he isn't ever explicitly told it's MK. MK literally just forgets to mention it to him, but he does his best to help where he can. Giving advice where he can.
Most everything else was done without his input, altho MK did find it weird that the Calabash seemed to think his mechanic friend was the Monkey King. It's the first hint he ever has that Wukong was not as he seemed, but he write it off as him simply thinking of Wukong as a mentor figure since he's always been supportive and gave helpful advice and the Calabash substituting the Monkey King for Wukong.
Even the Macaque episode was done mostly without his input, altho a certain black furred monkey was not happy that his attempt to lure Wukong out didn't work at all. Wukong had been busy with renovations to expand the shop at the time, thus where the "step into the strike" advice came from since MK had been helping Wukong with tearing down the wall.
The big reveal about Wukong being the Monkey King only happens during Revenge of the Spider Queen, when Wukong has no choice but to step in as the Monkey King. And believe me, he is absolutely not happy about the matter. He doesn't run away once everything is done and over, but it's very clear that he is upset by the way he avoids everyone and jsut sits curled up on the rooftop. When asked why he never told them, especially knowing MK was using his staff, he first points out MK had never explicitly told him about the whole Monkie Kid business so he had no reason to "know" anything about it. Then he jsut points to the destroyed city.
Wukong: This is what happens everytime the Monkey King appears. Destruction, death, and chaos. I didn't want to be that anymore.
This spun off from a convo on how Wukong likely felt abandoned by his mentor(s), beginning with Subodhi, the allies he made in Heaven before the war, Guanyin, and even Tripitaka when the monk passed.
Wukong, going by just "Wu", drifting along the centuries living a mortal life. Packs up and leaves whenever conflict or war breaks out, or when people start to get suspicious.
His number one rule? Never get attached. Never again...
He becomes a mechanic (a real "grease monkey" if you will). Although he loves medicine and herbalism, it simply has too many paper trails. Also cars are fun to tinker with and don't talk back most of the time. Less likely to make a connection.
He eventually returns to the village where he lay his Staff down for good. Just seemed right coming up to the 500 year anniversary of one of his biggest regrets. The village has since become a sprawling mega-city, open to humans and demons alike. There he plants his roots.
The biggest shock of his life comes when he sees his brothers faces and souls all over again. Three in new bodies, and one in the same. A certain fish demon had pretended he didnt recognise him, and Wu returned the courtesy - seems he wasn't the only one from the old days to retire.
He wonders if it was the right decision to settle in Megapolis...
Until the day Pigsy knocks on Wu's shop, breathless and carrying a wiggly baby human (?). His food truck had given up the ghost and the cook desperately needed repairs asap! Wu simply couldn't turn him away.
Through the conversation and the repair process, the wiggly baby maybe-human had stared at the monkey demon with absolute wonder. Wu isn't sure why until he overhears the cub blabble something into his father's ear.
MK: "Mon-ken." Pigsy, fond sigh: "No MK, that's not the Monkey King. He just looks like the drawing in your Baba's book." Wu, nearly drops the truck on himself: "Eh?" Pigsy, little embarassed: "Oh! Sorry. The piglet is convinced that you're the Monkey King. My partner researches mythology and stuff, and he fills the kid's head with all sorts of ideas." Wu, rolls out from under the truck with a cheeky smile: "It's no problem. You'd be surprised how often I get mistaken for him! Think its the fur." (*Wu shares a glance at MK, the baby human is still staring at him unconvinced. Wukong makes a unsubtle shush motion and winks - causing the little human to wiggle once more with joy. Pigsy sighs fondly once more, knowing that the boy will most definitely hold this moment dear throughout his childhood*)
With that one chance meeting, Wukong breaks his number one rule; Never get attached.
It's not his fault he fixed the truck so good that Pigsy became a loyal customer! And the pig demon began tipping him with free cold vegetarian noodles. And that the scholar at the shop and him started info-dumping together! And that the little human began seeing him as a beloved uncle...
Oh yeah. Wu is in too deep. Hopefully nothing too chaotic happens within the next few years or so >:3
You can say a certain monkey demon nearly had a heart attack when he learned that someone had finally taken up his Staff - and that it was his little buddy!! Also Sandy is back in the gang, so they can't pretend that they dont know each other for long.
Wu would *like* to step up and reveal himself as the Monkey King to MK - but he feels that would just make things so much worse. The kid's trust in him would shatter immediately. So it's better to leave his projections on FFM to do the physical training, and for Uncle Wu to provide him with much-needed emotional guidance.
Sharing this dm you sent in particular based on the "Macaque" episode cus it's a tasty piece of dialogue:
MK: "Is it really better to focus your power into every attack?" Wu: "Hm, that's a lonely way of thinking. And dangerous. Look at this hammer I use for example, it's strong but if I'm not careful an just bang away at metal, it'd hit hard but it'd cause more damage to myself and the people around me. But if I were to... step into the swing so to speak and not depend on the hammer but rather my own strength, it's easier to control and has less risk of hurting myself."
He had been doing renovations on the wall to expand his business at the time, thus why he was banging at the wall with a hammer.
Eventually the episode ends with Macaque calling desperately out to the battlefield - almost begging for his king to reappear. The shadow monkey is so occupied in his despair and anger that MK manages to slip free and reclaim his power.
MK promptly bullies Macaque into actually mentoring him. Macaque chuckles at the nerve of this kid, and agrees - but only as a truce until Wukong returns. After that, Macaque expects a rematch.
Unironically loving this AU

Cursed Warlord AU - Reader & MK Talk
Might make this canon to au... Not sure yet. The scene just would not leave my head.
Summery: After the journey Reader is sent back to her world, and both of the warlords believe she is dead. They are married and raise Xiaotian when they find his egg, the small amount of chaos energy reminds them of Reader. And he has powers similar to both Sun Wukong and The Six Eared Macaque.
He is able to convince his dads to let him live in the city. It takes years but he convinces them and works at Pigsy’s noodles meeting a young woman named Reader who is now his co-worker. Someone who just moved into town a few months before him.
He gets into a fight with his dads about them wanting him to come back but he doesn’t want to live on the Mountian. Because of this he is sitting on top of the restaurant when Reader finds him.
“MK?” You call out in confusion when you first noticed his feet dangling off of the roof.
It had shocked you to see the young man curled up with a look of defeat across his face. His arms crossed over his chest as he pulled his knees up to his chest as you made your way out of his apartment window to get to him. You had to borrow a key from Pigsy just to get through the window.
“What do you want?” He grumbled not looking at you as he stared up at the night sky.
You remained silent for a moment before sitting down next to him. Looking down you noticed the fall would probably hurt so you crossed your legs and sat just a little bit away from the edge. You knew something was wrong but for the life of you, you couldn’t figure it out.
“Are you alright?” You questioned, looking out at the stars not wanting to pressure him.
“What do you care?” He bit back a frown setting on his face as he turned to face you, but it relaxed when he noticed how calm you looked.
“I care about my friends, and you’re my friend. We’ve been through quite a bit you know, you saved me from the Spider Queen, and you stopped that one demon from courtnapping me remember. Is it so confusing to think that I care about you?” You chuckled awkwardly unsure of what he meant with his question.
Mk’s eyes widened in shock, he hadn’t thought of that. Then a frown set back on his face, you only cared because he helped you. Why was that disappointing? His parents were right, they were the only ones who loved him unconditionally. No one else cared-
“Then again, I cared before then. You’re a cheerful person it’s no wonder that everyone cares about you so much,” You laughed fondly before finally looking him in the eyes.
His eyes were wide with shock, “Not everyone cares about me,” He finally bit back.
“That’s true, there will always be people that won’t care. Every person is different… but you do have a lot of people who care about you. Pigsy, Tang, Sandy, Mo, you’ve got Mei always hanging out with you, haven’t you also befriended Redson?” You teased about Redson causing Mk’s face to flush. You knew full well of the crush he developed on the Second Demon Bull Prince. “Redboy is also someone who has been hanging around without trying to kill anyone you know.”
“…Yeah. There are people who care,” He mutters lowly. “But why?”
You glanced at him before staring up at the stars again. You thought it over, the silence slowly becoming tense as Mk waited for a reason. Some real reason that people cared about him, that they would truly want to be his friend.
“I can’t say,” You respond finally and Mk felt his chest tighten, there was no good reason was there.
“Oh.”
“Well I can’t say why THEY care,” You emphasize before looking at him again with a smile.
Looking at you with a calm look he waited again, even though he wanted to run away so he didn’t have to listen to any more of this. It hurt, he didn’t want to listen about what he did to EARN their affection. He just wanted to be loved for who he was, he wanted people to care for him without them asking for something in return. But regardless he couldn’t bring himself to move so he sat there listening to you speak. Each word made him freeze.
“I can tell you why I care though. I care because you’re you. I care because you’re MK. I care because you are a good person. I care because no matter what I know you try to do what is right even when others try to push you down or push you in a different direction,” You explain hoping that he could feel the sincerity of your words.
He stared at you wide eyes for a moment before asking, “But- But what if I wasn’t a good person? What if I got pushed down? What if I got sent the wrong way?”
“Why does that matter?” You asked in response after a moment of silence.
“What? Why would it not matter?” He bit back tears flooding his eyes.
“It doesn’t matter because you ARE a good person. Because you GET BACK UP when you get pushed down. Because you turn around when you get pushed the WRONG WAY. Mk listen life is full of ups and downs, there will always be something that will test you in one way or another. I don’t know what is going on but… no matter what, you know I care about you. Even if you don’t KNOW that, I do, I care about you just like your other friends care about you,” You hope that’s the right thing to say, even though it didn’t make complete sense… You weren’t very good at this were you?
Mk stared at you thinking, what was wrong? What was wrong was the fact his parents didn’t think he was old enough to live in the city. What was wrong was his parents wanting him to go back to the island. What was wrong is that they continued to try to protect him when he didn’t need it. He moved to the city to prove he could do SOMETHING for himself, and he had… he had done many things for himself. He fought the Demon Bull King, The Spider Queen, many other demons, he had made a living for himself, he had saved lives and he had survived against threats of all kinds.
Even after all that his parents still didn’t see him as an adult they still didn’t see that he was loved and cared for while actually getting the freedom to CHOOSE what he wanted to do. He could feel the tears building in his eyes, he knew that this had nothing to do with thinking that the others didn’t care for him, he knew they did. He just wanted his parents to see that as well.
“My parents… they want me to move back home,” He barely let out the whisper, letting out a choked sob, he didn’t want to go back. It hadn’t even been six months and they wanted him to come back. “But I don’t want to go back. I want to stay HERE.”
“Do- Do you not get along with your parents?” You begin with a frown, suddenly worried for his actual mental health.
“It’s not that! It… I just…They make me feel so trapped like I can’t do anything without them. But I can! I can do things without them… I just wish that they could see that,” He almost yelled trying to calm down while still being upset. “I-It almost makes me… hate them! I- I just don’t know what to do anymore!”
“… Have you told them that?” You asked curiously.
“What!? NO! I could never tell them any of that, they would never take it well. They… they wouldn’t even listen I’m sure,” He growled out thinking back to their last argument.
‘You wanted to see the city and you have, now it’s time to come home. Where it’s safe,’ his baba’s words echoed through his own glamoured six ears, he didn’t want to think about it. He just wanted them to listen to him for once!
You sat in silence for a moment before finally saying, “…How will you know if you don’t tell them?”
Mk didn’t respond at first as he took deep breaths. He wouldn’t know their reactions unless he actually said something would he? But these were HIS parents, the same ones who want him to train more, to stay by their side and become a warlord like them. He didn’t want that, he didn’t want to be a warlord, he wanted to be a hero, someone people would actually look at without fear or hatred.
“I just do… They just want me to stay with them like… like some child!”
“They want to protect you…” You muttered thinking back on your own experiences, when you were trapped, when you had no where you could turn to except for the ones who held you prisoner. You had been a Queen but you didn’t have freedom, and freedom was something that you valued highly in life. “But you feel trapped with how they do it? Is that right?”
“Something like that…” Mk curled up again silently letting some tears freely fall down his cheeks.
“I’ve been through that once…” You had been trying not to think about them, but how could you not? You had returned to the world they resided, one wrong move and they would find you. You had already left them three times and each time they got more and more desperate to keep you close. You weren’t sure how to tell Mk that, especially since his parents probably weren’t world dominating Warlords like your husbands were.
“You have?” Mk sounded disbelieving.
“Yeah… I… I was married once or still am… I think. Anyways, I was married and my husbands were… well they were powerful warriors and known far and wide. They hated when I would get in danger and every chance they got they would drag me back to their home. They didn’t want me to leave because they were afraid of what would happen,” You explained hoping to give him some comfort in knowing he wasn’t alone.
"So what? You think I should.... Just go back?" he asked slowly before scoffing.
"No. Nothing will excuse a person's actions. I'm saying that there are reasons, reasons that show how much they care about you. Maybe if you spoke with them and told them exactly how you feel... They might listen, after all they do care about you,” you said as you pulled him into a hug," May be they would listen to him like Sun Wukong and Macaque didn't listen to you.
MK thought about it, maybe just maybe they would listen to him. There was a chance, it was small, his parents never did like when he was in real danger. He just couldn't live his life on the island like he has been. He wanted...he craved...he needed freedom.
"Did you... What happened to your husbands?" MK finally asked.
"Well... It's a long story," you start but decide to sum it up, sort of. “But they think I'm dead.”
"What? Who are your husbands?"
"Sun Wukong and The Six Eared Macaque."
As always comments and likes are greatly appreciated. Opinions? Send them my way. If you have criticism also let me know, just don’t be rude about it (Though I haven’t had any RUDE criticism. In fact all that I’ve gotten are helpful opinions which I greatly enjoy!)

Ive shown a bit of what Modern! Suklha would be like in Lego Monkie Kid AU :D. But i also wanna expand more on them!!
⋆˙⟡ — CW : Spoiler, Ooc characters, straying from the main plot :" im only on season 4
LMK! Suklha
An infamous Lawyer. Shook the internet from becoming a Symbol of protection and wisdom into your average money making lawyer.
Almost never interact with the cast even during LBD invasion, she was buried deep in paperworks of trials that she needed to do.
Only came up once or twice as a guidance and to tell the crew what to do incase a certain situation comes, might even give them a predictive situation that'll come to fruition
Barely anyone knows she's pursuing a divorce with Wukong, shes actively trying to chase him to sign the papers. He keeps stalling it.
Wukong never told anyone about her, including MK. Focusing more on spending his pension rather than the relationship he has. Which is the main reason she wanted a divorce, the relationship barely benefit her.
"This is your successor?" Suklha stared at the kid, circling around him like a predator. Her eyes nitpick every single scars and strand on his head, Suklha let out a small humm as she picks off a branch from his hair. "Atleast you picked a human.. they were always more eager to learn than us" her snakelike tail rattled near MK. "Isn't that right, little boy?"
"Aren't you a human?" Her voice echoed.
MK's smile drooped down, feeling his teeth chattering against eachother. This Blue toned woman is hardly giving him an easy time, unlike the TV shots and interviews he's seen. His once proud figure shrinks down, like a little boy fearing the wrath of his own mother. He knows this feeling before... the hopelessness he felt when fighting Lady Bone Demon. It was all too familiar.
"Okayyy! C'mon bud lets get you home" Wukong steps in. Putting a good amount of distance between MK and a confused Suklha. "Maybe youre not up to meeting a gal like her.."
Lmk! Suklha, who Wukong still has feelings for yet runs away from the guilt of neglecting her for far too long. He's older, wiser but he's still bad at confronting his own faults. Especially a recent one.
Remember the book that Suklha created to fuck around with? Yeah the book where it holds the knowledge to everything and anything in the universe, reading the first few sentences can break your sanity? Yeah wukong has it now. Its his now. Its probably the only thing Suklha wanted to keep from the divorce.
Wukong who always tries to talk her out of it ever since he had MK, hiding the paper before planning a meet with her. Despite knowing the words he needed to say, His arrogant attitude kept the apology still.
Suklha, who despite being his Talent lawyer. Tried to keep the relationship professional, for the sake of Wukong's image and her own. Despite joining the mortal realm and its trends, gossips is still the one thing she has an annoyance about.
"YOU!"
The clicking of heavy heels reverberated through the floor, just as the Blue toned Lady huffed out towards the Monkey king that appeared in the doorway.
"SETTLE THE DIVORCE PAPER RIGHT NOW!"
There's a quaint silence as her booming voice rumbled through the gaming room. Monkie kid stared in agape, the figure of his once singular mentor and predecessor being a lone wolf is shattered as the Lady infront of him continued speaking. Mei and the others watched in awe, realizing a dramatic moment is happening in front of their eyes.
"W-wait! Peaches i-!"
"I dont accept any delay, sign. It. Now"
MK looked at the panicked face of his mentor, seeing the once powerful sage looking so defeated was a new experience he'll never forget. Different from the many times he's seen, in amidst of battle Wukong still held hope in his eyes. Now.. its just despair and worry.
"Uh... whats going on?"
Monkey king who despite trying to fix his own relationship problem, is also spreading the words of how meeting with Suklha means "you're a target for the devil". He glares at MK everytime he talks about the news, seeing the familiar antennas and golden rimmed glasses.
Monkey king who turns into an old man who yells at children in his yard everytime he notices MK interest in meeting Suklha the supposed "secret love interest" who sends him mountains of "love" letters. Definitely not about the contract he ignored and divorce notices
He doesn't want anyone helping him in this problem, anyone who has an interest towards it is just showing him how incapable he is. His own pride is stopping him from asking for help.
Monkey king who rarely have time to train MK so he can focus on talking to Suklha, only to have his own student stepping in and tried his best to save the marriage. From sending flowers, free noodles, sharing Wukong's view and made a whole love declaration from Wukong to Suklha in the middle of her Trial.
"Lady Suklha!! Its a gift from the monkey kiing~!" MK knocked on the high tech door, using his legs to hold up the large bouquet he bought at the florist. He made sure the handwriting isn't similar to his, he even added a monkey king doodle at the end of the card.
"MK..." Suklha greeted him, the door opening to reveal a drained and sleep deprived lawyer. Holding the casefile on her other hand in a mess. Her eyes widened while she let out a gasp at the bouquet, the casefile finally meeting its end at the floor. The bouquet is huge! bigger than her!
"Seee, Monkey king kinda dumped this on me today. He said he was afraid of seeing you getting mad over him sooo!" MK grinned widely, moving the bouquet to his hips "here ya go!"
Suklha hesitantly accepted the Bouquet, a look of discomfort grazing her features. "Thank you... MK" "nonono it was monkey ki-!" "You think i dont know my own imbecilic husband's handwriting?" MK looked at the worn out Lady, her mouth smiled gently despite the harsh words coming out of it.
"Maybe if you want to give me something in place of Wukong, remember to use Peaches or Wifey. He uses that more than... ehhh.. caterpillar?" Suklha squinted her eyes, holding the card closer to make sure what she's reading. MK looked at her reaction, is it another failure? The hundredth time where she would still say no when he ask her to talk to wukong? He's been going back and forth between her house and flower fruit mountain just to get the two to an understanding!
Atleast the Monkey King said yes if Suklha di—
"Fine ill go talk to him tomorrow"
"HE SAID IF YOU- wait what did you say again?"
MK stared dumbfounded, his stupid reaction earned a tired chuckle from Suklha.
"Ill go talk to him, thank you for your efforts MK. You're a good kid." She tried to hold the bouquet in one hand, leaving the other to ruffle his hair "although not mine, you do act like a child whose parents are in a fight..."
"Hey!!"
After MK help again, Wukong and Suklha has a better time communicating with eachother. Heck, Wukong likes to stop by just to check up on her and ask her out to go somewhere. Spend a quality time, despite her busy schedule.
MK who feels proud of himself whenever he comes to Flower Fruit Mountain only to meet with a frantic Wukong thats trying to choose between his red flaming glasses or pink hawaiian shirt to pack on his trip with Suklha.
Even after fixing her failing marriage, Suklha kept her friendship with Macaque. Making sure to have a night out together just so they can sit in her garden and talk about whatever that comes in mind. Giving both a sense of relief for both of them, to finally relax after a hectic day. Having someone to talk to despite their own insecurities thats keeping them both alone walking through the path of hardships.
Lastlyy, she holds the world's most complete library. Almost the old-school version of the cloud, sometimes she even hold a slight resentment at how everyone overlook libraries nowadays but well. There's a secret bookshelf that has the portal to any timeline and anything you need, disguised as normal and boring books. Kept in a dusted shed that has more cobwebs. As long as you have Suklha's permission, the books will open itself to you. If not, even with the power of Sandy and Wukong. It'll keep itself shut.

How would the Monkey Kings and the Destined one react to a female monkey y/n who's the adoptive mother of the baby in yellow? The baby is very protective and a bit possessive of Y/n and scares away any threats and suitors that try to take her away from him...unfortunately, the Wukongs and D.O don't give up that easily so the baby's begrudgingly respects that and sort of accept him but keeps an close eye on him🤨 imagine the kings shock when they find he can speak🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The baby is open to being friends with the children (Mk,Mei, Redson, Li, Su, Luier, Silly girl, and Lin)
Bonus points if Y/n is also an Eldritch horror entity but is waaaay more kinder, more docile, and practically more innocent than her son😊
(Monkey Kings) You must be Y/n's Son☺️
(Baby in yellow)(talking) Make my mother shed a tear in any way...and I'll add a monkey onesie to my collection👿
(Monkey kings)....😨😰😥😱😲😧🤨😦
Your the mama in yellow who is protected by her baby 👶
(A/n) Fun Fact the baby in yellow's real name is Hastur

(Lmk Wukong) Oh god, those matching pair of soulless eyes, except you were smiling while your son Hastur glared at Wukong like he wants him dead. When Wukong first met you, despite your rather creepy eyes and smiles, it didn't change the fact that you were the sweetest monkey gal he's ever met. However, your son, the baby in yellow or Hastur, hated Wukong and would terrorize him behind your back. As for Mk he looked at you both with unease and fear you have shown to be more kinder then your son, and besides Hastur considers Mk to be an little ant and thinks it would pointless and boring to bully him. Dispite your son's unruly behavior and your cheerful but disturbing backgrounds, Wukong cares about you two and loves you more then he fears Hastur.
(MKR Wukong) Myyyyyyyy god, it's like looking at the most f*cked up mirror ever made, let me explain. When Wukong and the pilgrims met you and your son, it was like looking at another version of Wukong and Fruity. You looked so sweet and happy being so welcoming to them, while your son, the baby in yellow, looked like he wanted to throw all of them to the bowels of hell. Your matching pairs of eyes weren't helping the case either. You introduced yourself and your baby to the pilgrims as your Son Hastur glares into their souls. However, their shared personality traits work hand in paw when in battle and admittedly some highjinks were taken place, but on a brighter note. Your son and Wukong love you and Fruity more then life itself, and work together to keep you both safe and cared for.
(HIB Wukong) You both Met though Luier, Silly girl and your son Hastur the baby in yellow. However Luier came home what day telling Wukong about a unusual and quite frankly scary kid, he and Silly girl met on the playground. When Wukong went to see the kid they were playing with, him and pigsy paled entirely when they saw your son big red eyes staring at them as he waits for Luier and Silly girl. Pigsy damn neared screamed as Wukong looked at the little thing like it was haunted as sh*t, and he was probably right. The baby sat by the swings smiling and talking to Silly girl while low-key scarying Luier and that's when Wukong stepped in to take action. That was until you came up calling for your son Hastur, Wukong froze in place seeing you there in a cute dress with the same big blank red eyes the difference is you were all smiles. Wukong was both attracted and curious of you along with being f*cking terrified of your son.
(NR Wukong) Dispite your interesting eyes and quirky cheerfulness, Wukong thought you were adorable and sweet and asked you out immediately. After a few months of dates and kisses and nights at the club, you finally bring Wukong, Li, and Su to meet your adoptive son. They were kinda excited until a babysitter you hired ran out of your apartment screaming on the top of her poor lungs, saying she quit, and left without you paying her. Li and Su immediately saw red flags as you sighed and went in your home, and there he was your son Hastur, the baby in yellow staring into their souls with his huge red eyes. Now this kinda explains a few odd things about you, as your son smiles mischievously at the 3 victims.....I mean guests. Meanwhile Wukong's dark and morbid curious about his eldritch future wifey and her monster baby has shot though the roof.
(Netflix Wukong) Pffff Wukong might as well put a big red target on his back, because Hastur would have a field day messing with him. Wukong had a huge crush on you for a long time and was working on wooing you and winning your heart. Wukong however had to get past your just as haughty and mischievous son Hastur, that tiny pee stain is the bain of Wukong's existence and he would sit there and complain to Lin all day about your monster of a son. This went on for months until Wukong put his foot down and stood up to Hastur claiming that he loves you and no amount of torture or humiliation will stop him. The baby in yellow was shocked to have Wukong talk to him like that especially when he saw what he can do, so he toned down the hijinks and Allow you both to continue your relationship................for Now😈
(BMW Wukong) Now you would think he would be freaked out like everyone else, but he was morbidly curious of both you and your son. You both have displayed unusual and disturbing behavior especially from your adoptive son, and Wukong is all for that. When you officially meet Wukong and your son would find that they have alot more in common then they realize, they both love you unconditionally and in a way obsessively. They also very mischievous and unruly and like to make it everyone's problem especially the celestial realms,(their favorite target is Erlang by the way😈) so yeah you guys are one big happy f*cked up family, however the baby in yellow refuses to call him baba, not in a million years.
(Destined one) The Destined one has seen and delt with some freakier sh*t, but this isn't fair at all. Your son Hastur is quite mischievous and rather unruly, and the Destined one finds it mildly humiliating to be bullied by a newborn. You and your baby son make it to where every other thing he encountered was either normal or not that serious. Hastur actually didn't hate your new husband, but it was definitely hilarious to mess with him and stress out Bajie by scarying him out of nowhere. You don't always help either because of your creepy, cute demeanor, and you were just so helpful and kind but it tends to put make people uneasy. You and your son were huge anomalies but the Destined one just had to get used to it.
(Lotmk Wukong) You know if it wasn't for the fact that's Wukong is centuries old, your son the baby in yellow would have that he was a child too. Wukong is naive and rather ditzy but he was head over heels in love with you immediately, and started to adore your son. Called it rose colored glasses or whatever but Wukong loves both you and your son unconditionally, and always makes time to spend with both of you. Of course Hastur does mess with your husband from time to time but he genuinely respects Wukong, and is completely ok with him being with you.

How did she meet MK and why him?
Met Mei first in middle/high school > Nawa was a bad influence/friend to her so MK confronts Nawa > They beat the heck out of eachother (not too badly, MK pried the bat off her hands, and he defended himself well with a broom) and both landed in the guidance counselor's office > He offered her truce chocolate and she begins to soften up after that
There's a period where she's kinda rough– but transitioning into young adulthood, she turns into a doormat because she regrets previously lashing out at others, and also because of her faith.
Unfortunately, she does put him on a sort of pedestal because of his act of kindness.

Hi I have some questions about your mortal monkey king au
What will sunny and mk’s dynamic be in the au?
who will train mk since sunny doesn’t have his power? Will it be macaque?
Do tang and pigsy know sunny or did sandy take him in after pigsy stopped talking to him?
Is mango macaque or macaque’s cat?
And will sunny learn about his past of being the monkey king while mk is learning about him being a stone monkey?
Well 1) Sunny and MK along with Mei become quite the hyperactive trio, Sunny doesn't really do much fighting but he does at one point punch Redson in the face before Red joins the friend group that is.
2) At first MK has to figure things out on his own tho with shockingly helpful advice from Sunny. Later Macaque does help him a bit.
3) Sandy found Sunny a few years before the main plot at most and by than him and Pigsy didn't really talk anymore so they first meet Sunny when they come to ask Sandy for help getting to FFM
4) Nope and Macaque hates Mango and vise versa. Is it jealousy? Well duh ;3
5) Yup kind of, the gang has had theories and Macaque is real certain Sunny is Wukong but they can't say for sure until the scroll which two people come out of with an identity crisis.

Ref sheets for Co-parent au (with some lore)
First our little baby, with his blank stare. He is 3 and is still rather mute besides the few words he knows+chirping.
(Bros like max from Max and Ruby, like he'll just say 1 word on repeat like a broken record sometimes)
Friends with Mei(she's like 4-5), can't hold a human form for long. Normally just in his monkey form, or in a simple disguise.
Loves art and his monkey plush(I did not have room to draw them)
Was woken up to early, by a unknown person.
The Monkey King himself.
So from years of self isolation and not interacting with the outside world besides some promotional stuff (movies, toys ect.), he's gain Hugh social anxiety, this is like stage fright but 10x.
He doesn't go outside, so is a stay at home dad for Mk. He does have a therapist that he does online therapy with to help with it(sometimes they do in person)
She's married to Macaque but not officially, you see they've courted(macaque courted) but by human/modern standers they're not married.
Despite going by baba, he is more of the classic mom. Basically overly worrying about Mk and stuff.(Especially when he was in the rock egg)
Her and macaque have matching earrings.
Him and Macaque used human disguises when Pigsy and Tang first moved in.
The monkey who is one of the breadwinners in this chaotic family.
He was the first to suggest moving to make sure heaven couldn't track them. He bought a house near the city but just slightly on the outskirts (like Meis home kinda, at least with location.) There's still neighbors nearby, just not directly crammed near them.
The reason for this particular location is that it stills let them be within nature, and have their power be disguised with the many beings in Megaopolis. (They take the bus to the city or just walk)
Was revived by the lady bone demon after a few years(centures)after the journey, he planned to kill Wukong or at least confront him. But ended up staying on flower fruit mountain and soon courting him.
Was the first to find Mk's egg after some of the monkeys dragged him over.
They feel immense guilt of Mk hatching centuries too early; he had heard someone on Flower fruit mountain but arrived to late to stop them.
That plus hearing some stuff from the celestial realm, convinced him to leave before the celestial realm could take Mk.
Does theatre (bro's a theater kid), and will preform little shadow plays in the library.
The 2nd bread winner in this family
Knew Tang for a few years before meeting the monkeys(Tang introduced him)
He was struggling living on a strict budget in his noodle shop, before moving in. But was extremely hesitant to accept the offer, his pride had him refusing until he had no choice.
Was meant to be a 1 time thing, it was not.
Despite the two monkeys wearing disguises (Mk didn't have one), he found out who they were easily. It wasn't hard since all he had to do was look at Mk's little dolls and some of those terrible monkey cop shows to realize who they are. (Not to mention they had terrible fake names)
Is married/engaged to Tang(they get married when Mk is 5)
He gets to his business at around 7 to get everything situated and ready to prepare. People come in to order, cause he does not have any workers but himself to deliver fast enough. (Macaque helps sometimes)
He takes the bus, but most the time prefers the tuk tuk or walking as a way to travel. Needs a white noise machine just to feel like he's in the city. (You can hear the city but barely)
And now we got the last man
Is no contact with his family
Goes to college(for what? Idk), studies ancient civilization and the gods. Does a lot of research.
Works at the library part time, met Pigsy when he first moved to Megalopolis.
Met Macaque first and introduced him to Pigsy, was the one to suggest living with the monkeys.
Fell in love with Mk the moment he saw the little baby, would tell him stories about Monkey King and stuff. (Very embarrassed that the actual monkey king heard him tell/inact this stories)
Gets mistaken as Mk's bio dad a lot, it's flattering but it always leaves him a bit flustered.
Both him and Pigsy have legal guardian ship over Mk. This was suggested by Macaque, who thought it would be beneficial. They are in the kids life 24/7, and if there's ever a situation where He and Wukong won't be there he wants Mk to be in good hands.
Was weird around Wukong after finding out who he was. Acted like a nervous little fan boy around him, but now they're chill. Will openly criticize Monkey king with Macaque about a certain story. (Will sometimes still get Excitedable about certain things.)

Destined one - Sùchén
“You Don’t Have To Say Anything, I Know.”
No one exactly remembered when he had appeared. It was just that, suddenly, he was there. A new student, with a name tangled in the records like dust on an old leaf: Sùchén. And despite his presence being discreet — almost lazy — he attracted glances like a grumpy magnet.
In that school, where talking tigers argued over physics exams, reformed demons exchanged recipes in the cafeteria, and humans with enchanted skin scribbled runes in their notebooks, Sùchén was a kind of silence that didn’t mix. He never seemed fully present — like a note that echoes even after the music has stopped.
He often stayed on the rooftop, his hand pressed against the rusted railing, his eyes lost in some point beyond the fence, as if waiting for something no one else could see. The shirt of his uniform was almost always missing the first, sometimes second, button, and his tie remained forever absent — a small detail, but persistent. And there was something about his ears, too subtle to seem human, too distinct to go unnoticed. Maybe there was a beast hidden within. Maybe he was just tired of appearing normal.
You saw him first in the gardening club. It wasn’t a meeting, not yet. Just a scene crossing by chance — him standing between rows of chrysanthemums, touching the stems with his fingertips as if testing if they were real. The light passed through the glass leaves of the ceiling and rested on his face as if it already knew him. He didn’t notice you. Or pretended not to notice. And left without saying a word.
After that, he seemed to always be where you were. Sitting behind you in literature class. At the back of the auditorium when Mei and MK rehearsed some strange Kabuki theater number. In the corner of the court when Wujing gave reinforcement lessons to the noisy freshmen. Sùchén never participated. He just watched.
One day, the sky was too heavy for the late afternoon, and the corridor behind the temple seemed darker than usual. You turned the corner and almost bumped into him. He was there, with his back to you, shoulders too relaxed for someone who supposedly didn’t want to be noticed.
"Do you always take this way?" his voice came without weight, almost as if thinking out loud.
You answered without thinking. Something trivial. But he smiled. Just a corner of his mouth. As if waiting to see if you would run away or not. And you didn’t run.
Time began to shape itself around these small intersections. He started looking at you more closely, as if mapping your routine. His fingers brushed against your arm as he passed, too light to call a touch, too heavy to be ignored. Sometimes, he would lean his shoulder against yours, hidden in the midst of the crowd. Just a gesture. Just warmth.
Pigsy warned you once, with a sidelong glance and the pan still steaming in his hand: "That boy... he has old eyes. Don’t trust smiles that hide a history." But it was too late to not look back.
And Sùchén didn’t need to say he was staying. The way he sat beside you, silent, his eyes closed to the sound of the rain on the roof — that said everything.
Over time, things between you and Sùchén began to change, but in a way you couldn’t fully understand. It was as if the world that once seemed vast and distant had become tight, small, a space where only the two of you could fit. There was no more school, no more familiar faces and the sounds you knew by heart. Now, everything was silent, the only sound was the wind touching the dry leaves around the camp where you had taken refuge.
The campfire burned low, casting soft golden light on your faces. The warmth radiating from the wood was the only warmth there, while the stars above seemed silent, watching. Sùchén was beside you again, in one of those moments where he seemed to simply exist around you. He didn’t speak much, but still, there was no need for words. The way he looked at the fire, his eyes slightly blurred by the soft light, made you feel a warmth spreading across your skin.
You were sitting next to him, the smell of smoke blending with the fresh night air. Your jacket was slightly open, and the cold wind made the hairs on your arms stand up. Without realizing, you leaned a little closer, seeking the warmth of his body. He didn’t pull away. In fact, it seemed like he was waiting for this gesture. His gaze met yours for a moment, one of those looks that, if not taken carefully, could risk understanding too much.
"You’re cold," he murmured, his voice rough in the stillness of the night. Without waiting for a response, he extended a hand toward you, almost like a silent invitation. And that’s when everything seemed to speed up. You found yourself nestled in the crook of his arm, the warmth coming from him making everything around you feel calmer and safer. He wrapped you in his embrace, Sùchén’s fingers slowly tracing over your skin, a gentle, exploratory touch, as if he were trying to understand your presence the same way you did with him.
The silence between you was thick, but in a strange way, comforting. Your hearts beat in sync, the scent of earth and forest mingling with the aroma of something closer, something more intimate. He didn’t pressure you, but his proximity was inescapable. The heat of his body against yours made the air around you both feel denser, as if the night itself was waiting for something to happen.
Your breathing had quickened now, as if simply being so close to him was a silent violation of something you both had been trying to avoid. But when he ran his fingers along your back, the sensation of his touch was a strange comfort, a relief. He pulled you closer, as if he had the right to do so. And maybe he did.
The warmth between you grew almost palpable. Sùchén wasn’t the type to worry about boundaries — in fact, it seemed like he was always testing yours. His hand, which had been gentle until now, moved up your arm with unexpected firmness, as if he knew exactly what he wanted and how he’d make you want it too. His gaze, hotter than the fire, locked onto yours, challenging and teasing. “Are you shivering?” he murmured, his voice rough but full of something more. “Or is it just because of me?”
The question was more of a game than a genuine curiosity, and you knew that. Sùchén never asked questions without purpose. He leaned in a little closer, his lips almost touching your ear as he whispered, his breath warm against your skin. “I like seeing the effect I have on you,” he said, a merciless smile dancing on his lips. The tension in the air lingered, even thicker now.
You knew he was waiting for a reaction from you. That the provocation was there, just waiting to be received. And, not really sure what made him act this way, you allowed yourself to take the first step. Your lips brushed against his, hesitant but certain. The touch was brief, almost like both of you were testing the limits, feeling out the contours of what might come before going any deeper.
But Sùchén wasn’t patient. He pulled you closer, his body now pressing against yours with an intensity that was both comforting and electric. Your lips met once more, and this time, he was bolder, leaning into you, his hands now at your neck, his fingers caressing your skin in a way that made your stomach tighten.
The kiss grew, dominant. He wasn’t just teasing anymore; he was definitely in control, and somehow, you were willing to let him be. His caress on your neck was slow, almost possessive, as if he were savoring every moment, testing the limits of both his patience and yours. When he pulled away slightly, both of your breaths were faster, and he looked at you with a nearly challenging smile, his eyes gleaming with amusement and something else.
“That was just an appetizer,” he said with a crooked smile, still carrying the scent of tobacco and dust on his skin. His tone was immensely confident, like he knew you would never escape this game. “And now... will you let me play?”
Your response didn’t come in words. It was in the way you moved closer again, surrendering to the inevitability of the moment. And Sùchén, with that smile that never seemed to fade, knew that this was just the beginning.
The air between you was filled with a silent, yet palpable tension, and as he pulled you closer, you could no longer tell where your anxiety began and where his ended. Every touch felt carefully orchestrated, as if he knew exactly how to make your heart beat faster and your body feel light, yet at the same time so full of heat.
Sùchén wasn’t in a hurry. He wanted to savor every second, and you could feel that in every movement, as if time was stretching between you, becoming elastic, malleable. Your lips met again, but this time it was deeper, longer, as if the kiss were a silent request, something you both already knew you didn’t need to hide anymore. The kiss was ferocious, but without haste, as if he were marking his territory, but in a subtle way, without actually asking for permission.
You felt his fingers moving across your skin almost mercilessly, trailing over your waist, as if he wanted to etch every curve of your body into memory. Your breath was heavier, bodies closer, and the feeling of heat seemed to grow from within, a fire that didn’t seem like it wanted to burn out. The way he enveloped you was almost possessive, but at the same time, there was something immensely comforting about it, as if he were exactly what you had always needed, without ever asking for it.
“Do you really think you can stay out of my reach?” he asked, his voice husky, the words leaving his mouth with a tone of challenge, but also something more intimate, something that felt like a silent provocation. He was enjoying the way you looked at him, the way your body responded to his gestures.
The answer came without words, just a deeper touch, an embrace that pulled him closer, his hands spreading more across your skin, moving to your shoulders, to your neck, feeling every small detail. You no longer knew if you were playing the same game or if you had surrendered, but what mattered was that you were there, with him, and nothing else seemed to make sense. The fire from the campfire crackled low, but the heat between the two of you seemed to be the only thing that mattered.
The other sounds around you, the wind and the leaves moving in the trees, seemed distant. There was nothing but Sùchén and you. He was no longer just teasing you with his gaze. Now, he was consuming you, but in a way that didn’t make you nervous; on the contrary, it seemed to only intensify the desire for him to do more.
“You want me, don’t you?” he whispered, a mischievous smile forming as he slid his finger along your jawline, down to your neck, applying light pressure. “You don’t have to say anything, I know.”
He stared at you with an intensity that seemed to read your thoughts, but instead of waiting for an answer, he tilted his head and kissed you again, more slowly this time, exploring every sensation with calm, with desire. He was the kind of guy who knew what he wanted, and wasn’t ashamed of it.

I wonder how MK would react when he finally missing his old cycle...
But like he know about Pigsy, Tang, Sandy and Mei. And he understand that. Wukong and Macaque is the one he "cling" to since he thought he fimiliar with them (and Red Son too Maybe) only to realize that he was wrong
That's isn't his Macaque and Wukong. They both different. They both didnt act like his Wukong and Macaque that he KNOW. Wukong not like this with him. Macaque not like this with him. They both is another people just like the rest of pilagram.
It like the question of "If someone you love get amnesia would they be different person?"
Like it or not without memory they are not the same person. Someone is build from what they been through bad or good to shape who they are. And for them to not been through all the pain and sweet time the same of what been through they wouldnt be the same.
Wukong is what Wukong are because he been through what happend in past. That he was abodon by Macaque and went to journey and make family with Pilagram. He then isolation himself for long time. He more calm and gentle. Still silly but mature
Macaque is what Macaque are because his way of making Wukong centre of his life. Mad that hes been killed and still chasing Wukong. [SIMP!! *Cough* ]He hurt but blaming Wukong living in rage for so long. He more rackless and more violent when fighting.
Here? They didnt been through that. They're not his monkey. The new cycle is like recarniation of whole world where everything is NOT the same.
Even when he finally able to meet Pigsy, Tang, Sandy and Mei later on... They wouldnt be the same anymore...
He is alone...and he miss everyone. He love this new world but if he have one wish he would wish to go back to old cycle and live there with people he know and love
[Sorry for long ask. I got little thought there. Have good day/night!]
you get it! the version he knew of everyone doesn't exist anymore. They are still very similar, but with some changes here and there.
It's a new cycle, and nothing repeat exactly the same, so people are bound to be different. First Wukong and Macaque made an egg which they didn't in the previous cycle. And now, MK is here, changing even more things.
He will get to love those version of them and new people, just as much as his previous family. It might take decades and maybe centuries for him to not be comsumed by grief whenever he think of them, but he will get better.

Oh imagine Iron Fan meeting the triplets-
She didn't really believe her husband or her son when they told her that Wukong had three babies because she really can't believe Wukong wouldn't figure out that donating dao= actual babies.
Then the family is released from the scroll of memory by a very concerned Xiaotian and Xiaojiao, Wukong, and three small babies. Thunder, the shyest one, reaches out first to meet his aunt.
Iron Fan hadn't been around during New Years to meet the triplets like her boys had. When her husband rushed home (son in tow) and told her that Sun Wukong had three very young cubs, PIF was intrigued.
Her first question was obvious: Whom was responsible?
DBK, trying not to laugh: "You would not believe me if I told you." PIF, smirking as she sips tea: "I am rarely surprised." DBK: "The Macaque." PIF, teacup rattles slightly: "...I will admit, that is surprising. But I thought Macaque had long since past?" DBK: "It appears that our late brother left behind three pieces of his soul on Flower Fruit Mountain to guard his effects. After his passing, Brother Wukong could not bear parting with the shadows of his mate - and began pouring his own life energy into them." PIF, understanding: "Ah. Supplying the Yang to the Yin. No wonder. I would have done the same if you had left shadows of your own." DBK, chuckling: "He certainly hadn't known that when they formed!" PIF, suppressing a laugh: "Pardon?!"
Red Son supplies photographic proof (shared by Mei) of the shadowy monkey cubs playing with Noodle Boy on the airship, and reuniting with their "Mother" Sun Wukong once freed. Little dark fluffy things with red markings on their faces, and gleaming red-orange eyes.
PIF: "That one in his arms... they are smaller than their siblings." DBK: "Wukong explained that he had not known of the third shadow until the elder two had fully formed. It was still too underdeveloped to separate from him when he had been captured." PIF, sympathetic: "Oh, poor dear... I hope you scolded him for putting himself and his baby in danger!" DBK: "You know I did. Although I had been distracted at the time - the littlest one had chosen that moment to finally break away from his parent and exist in this plane!" PIF, adoring: "Aww."
Having birthed a child with special needs herself, Iron Fan feels a kinship with the smallest of Wukong' children.
She doesn't manage to meet them until her release from the Scroll in S4. The Macaque had apparently been revived, and even under threat of his new master, had ensured his cubs and mate were kept safely together.
(*the Demon Bull Family are released from their Scrolls*) DBK, shuddering: "I did not care for those 500 years under that mountain. But at least I relived falling in love with you all over again." PIF, light blush: "My hopeless romantic." MK, sighs with relief: "Whew! Glad we didn't have to drag you guys out of a memory or anything." Mei, hugging Red Son: "Well except for ol' Red Boy here. He was so cute as a baby!" Red Son, embarrassed: "I was running around naked, setting the countryside ablaze!" DBK & PIF: (*"Aww" as they remember*) Mei: "Case in point; totes adorbs." Red Son: (*grumbling*) Wukong, holding a cub: "I'm just glad all of you are okay. Azure did not make it easy for us." Macaque, carrying the other two cubs: "Especially since the cubs tried to join in the fight." (*baby-talking to the cubs*) "Yes you did! You tried biting Peng's tail feathers off. Yes you did! You wanted to be like your Baba and fight the mean birdie!" Rumble & Savage: (*happily babbling chirps!*) PIF & DBK: (*looks at the scene with a mixture of adoring and sadness*) Thunder: (*silently hops out of Wukong's arms and toddles towards the Princess*) Thunder, holding up arms: "AH!" PIF, stunned: "...pardon?" Wukong, knowing smile: "He means Up. Thunder has been exercising getting farther away from me. He wants you to pick him up so he can properly say Hi." PIF: (*looking down at the cub, she silently lifts him into her arms. The tiny hands reaching up to inspect her horned hairstyle ala Maleficent 2014*) Thunder, amazed: "Ah!" PIF, smile slowly forming: "Hello little one. I've heard much about you." Thunder: (*sniffing her face and nuzzling against her cheek, making happy chirping sounds*) PIF: (*silent tears forming. She would fight Heaven for this baby*)
She about to ask Bull to try for another baby, cus gotdamn Wukong and Macaque's brood make her want at least three more.
