having an oc be associated with snakes usually implies they lie and are manipulative, you know, there's themes right

so while the manipulative part can absolutely be true, having a snake-coded oc who doesn't lie whatsoever is very fun actually. it's a bit of a challenge haha but I wanted to make sure that part of him stayed true even when thrown into the three houses universe, even if the original reason for him not lying no longer applies in this context (he was originally a faerie character I made for something else).

it also means I get to draw cool snake related imagery with him which is always fun-

Can i request a headcanons with the Savanaclaw (Ruggie, Leona and Jack) (separately) with a Kaa like Reader? (Kaa is a snake from the movie, The Jungle Book.) The Reader’s half lower body is the body of a snake, but their upper body is normal. Oh and! They can hypnotize people with their eyes, just like Kaa!

-Leona likes when you sleep with him. Half of your body curled around him in a careful embrace.

-He doesn't hide the respect he's got for you and your skills. You can control people's mind with just using your eyes after you tempted them with the whispers of your voice.

-He's not bothered in the slightest if you're half snake.

-Jack wanted to test your strength and speed the first time you two met. The result was his priceless expression when he saw you could keep up with him.

-He's such a kind soul. He doesn't approve of your "convincing methods" but lets you use them only, and only, if you're in danger and need a way out.

-He becomes a blushing mess when you whispers sweet nothing into his ears. Your "tail" fluffing his.

-Ruggie might coax you to use your ability to put up with his mischief. You know, there's a new type of bun at the cafeteria, and he wants to be sure to get it first.

-You don't mind him putting his head on your tail when he wants to nap after he did all the chores for Leona.

-He catches you dance from time to time, and it's quite hypnotic. Just like your eyes.

Special Fan-kai Alert: Elastinyan

This shouldn’t have taken me 4 days but it’s finally complete! With a new title board too.

I made him in the concept art but here he looks much better, a lot more normal cat like i think. i like the addition on patterns/scars on his tail.

Elastinyan Is C rank drain attribute of the mysterious tribe with the soultimate Stretch n Bash, where he springs himself at the target with his claws or head. As i previously mentioned, he can stretch his body anyway he likes(basically like Jake the dog). He can also pull a Kaa like from the jungle book, interpret that as you will. He’s jades first yo-kai he ever met and helped him get one in fact.

I won’t say much in terms of his backstory but there’s a reason he has those patterns and isn’t too fond of humans😅

Children of Medusa headcanons

They would be immune to their mother's powers

I believe Medusa's children would be afraid of the ocean. They wouldn't go anywhere near it, and if they were at the beach, they would stay on the sand/land, far away from the water.

They would have the ability to speak and understand snakes. (Parseltongue!!!)

They would have a strong hatred for Poseidon and Athena's children on sight.

The children of Medusa would probably have recognized when someone was suffering from any type of abuse or assault like a sixth sense or something

Their hair can go from snakes to normal hair

They wear sunglasses as kids since they can't control their powers from a young age

Unlike their mother, their eyes turning people to stone power isn't permanent, but that person is stone for a long period of time.

Medusa would be such a helicopter parent (you can't tell me otherwise)

Their eyes would turn into snake eyes when using their powers

The children would definitely have the charm speak ability. It's kind of similar to Kaa the snake from jungle book, but instead of eye hypnosis, it's voice hypnosis, like sirens.

Snake themed jewelry (tell me I'm wrong)

The children of Medusa would definitely look out for each other and other demigod kids who feel like outcasts.

The Medusa cabin would definitely be seen as bad news and outcasts

I feel like maybe they could detect if someone was lying

They are devoted and loyal to fault

They would all probably inherit their mothers beauty

Often misunderstood

Medusa would probably claim her children by either her head hanging over her children or a snake above their heads

I LOVE JUNGLE BOOK SO MUCH - it's actually one of the only instances where I like the movie more than the book (mainly because the books are super depressing - though it is lowkey funny how book!Shere Khan has the exact same death as Mufasa)

So I'm setting the HoM!AU as post-Shere Khan's defeat and pre-Mowgli going to the man village.

Literally all of them ship Yuu with any Savanaclaw Student

So I've said it before but Mowgli's family - Raksha, Rama and his brothers - absolutely adore Jack. They all like to roughhouse with him it's adorable. I personally headcanon that he's twisted from Mowgli's wolf father which is why he's not as villainous as his peers and also why he has a strong sense of justice - plus why he's close to his younger siblings.

Mowgli and Yuu are best friends. He and his brothers welcome her to the pack the same way they welcomed Mowgli and Jack. Raksha's mother instincts are blaring when she sees her so she joins the other animal Disney mums like Sarabi, Duchess and Mama Jumbo in doting on her with maternal affection.

Bagheera (Disney's OG good kitty before Simba - I literally love him so much he has my heart) is like Yuu's cool uncle. He is such a dad (even though his first instinct was to eat baby!Mowgli when he first saw him), the moment he sees Yuu he's like 'must protect'. Seing a mancub that he wouldn't get grey fur babysitting is such a relief and he spends most of his time just chatting with her and preventing Baloo and the rest of his cast from corrupting her. I have a twst!Bagheera OC that Yuu befriends and he's like this cool senior that warns her of dangers of possible predators.

Baloo is ecstatic to have another mancub to impart his wisdom onto :D (lowkey think that he would be friends with Timon and Pumbaa since they have similar life philosophies of taking it easy and stuff). Yuu thinks of him similarly to how she thinks of Coach Vargas - fun uncle who means well and she probably shouldn't get any advice from.

Kaa tried to eat her when he first met her but was then stopped by Minnie and Bagheera. Yuu's learned her lesson with Jamil when it comes to staring into the eyes of a snake. He and Sir Hiss are snarky snake besties and get snek cuddles around her neck privileges.

Shere Khan with Yuu is: No mancub allowed *sees Yuu* one mancub allowed. He's like a platonic tsundere where he pretends he doesn't like her but still loves it when she gives him head scritches.

I feel like Shere Khan has a love hate relationship with Scar. Tigers are actually stronger than lions are and have been known to beat them in fights even though Scar is, by twst lore and probably also Disney lore, a more important figure and much above SK in the villain pecking order so there would also be that whole fighting instinct over the hierarchy between them. This fighting instinct is also included in the whole Custody Battle™ because they both keep on making jabs at the other's expense (Shere Khan likes to say that Yuu deserves better than some lion whenever Scar is near him). The two of them are also best friends - it's hilarious. It's also funny to watch them gripe about Tigger and Prince John who they both consider the embarrassments of their species.

The elephants are cool. They hang out with the other Disney elephants (like the ones in Dumbo and Lion King). I forgot his name but that baby elephant that Mowgli befriends is totally bffs with Dumbo and the two of them like to play with Yuu and Mowgli together.

For anyone interested in Zootopia 2 who hasn't seen this elsewhere:

Disney's big expo, D23, opens tomorrow today. Everyone was expecting Z2 news, but some early pictures are coming out showing a big display.

(Note that these pictures are not mine -- I've pilfered them from /r/Zootopia, and the watermarks indicate Cinepop, but I wasn't able to find a post for these.)

Here's the "official" logo. Notice the scales on the tail of the number 2. Intriguing!

Here's a good angle of the display. A walrus, Nick and Judy in new outfits, and plenty of seafood- and nautical-based businesses. That's because...

This is apparently part of the Marshlands, which have been referred to in passing but not explored yet. I'm getting a New Orleans-type vibe from this. Just behind Judy is a sign for "blowhole decongestant", featuring a cartoon whale, which may indicate that there will be whales and/or dolphins in the new film.

Here's another angle of the scene. Hey, what's that right above the "O" in the watermark? Looks like a snake. Not coincidentally, I'm sure, from this distance it looks pretty similar to the design of Kaa from Jungle Book, or perhaps Sir Hiss from Robin Hood. That would provide a neat bookend for Nick's own Robin Hood-like design. The snake is an interesting inclusion, since the original film made no mention of sentient reptiles or amphibians.

And last, but not least, here's a closeup of the main character figures. They aren't in uniform, which has led to speculation already: are they on vacation? Conducting an undercover investigation? Have they been promoted to detectives? (Also, there's been a minor firestorm over whether Judy's paw resting on Nick's head is sporting a ring, or whether that's just an artifact of potato-quality pictures. BUT REMEMBER THE THING A FEW WEEKS AGO ABOUT NICK AND JUDY WEDDING RINGS BEING OFFERED IN JAPAN???)

EDIT: additional pictures have established that Judy is not wearing a ring.
