i dont get how people can be so vile towards caitvi but i do actually. i know theyre flawed and i would have been happier if jinx and vi got their happy ending together but the fact that yall are out here saying with your full chests that jayce and viktor or jinx and ekko should have had their happy ending smells fucking dank to me.
they did get their happy endings. ekko and powder are still together in the timeline where hextech doesn't exist. jayce and viktor find and choose each other in every iteration of the universe. but the one canon depiction of caitvi where they've lost so much and gained so little... you're mad YOUR pairing didn't get vi and cait's happy ending, if it could be called that? this is the greed they talk about in the bible

crying about how, unlike og byler, millow (lesbyler) could have likely been able to get away with being physically affectionate in the open with each other (such as holding hands and hugging just because) without people giving them as much crap, looks or 'talks' about it as kids.
then tween willow reluctanly set out to very gradually pull away from michelle to avoid ever getting her in trouble, and next el came back and michelle probably took that as her cue to also stop reaching out for willow as frequently as she used to -or wanted to, even though she shouldn't.
good thing is, once they get together, they'd holds hands in public again, exploit the shit out of the plausible deniability of any excuse for touch, and even sneak small kisses at any chance they get 💟

At this point I’ve accepted the fact that every lesbian character is going to have their identity, particularly their lack of attraction to men, erased/invalidated/ignored by the fandom at some point so the most I can hope for is that when it does happen in any given fandom it is at most only a few people and the rest of the fans dogpile them with “what the hell are you talking about mate she’s a lesbian remember?!?!?!?!” I’ve been lucky enough to see it happen before lol but I know better than to get my hopes up beyond that; istg there’s always fucking someone. 😤

[Image: greyscale fanart focusing on Lute and Vaggie from Hazbin Hotel redrawing a panel from “Born To Be Alive,” the sequel to the Zootopia abortion comic.
Lute is angrily grabbing Vaggie by the shoulders and shouting, in all capital letters, “You’re not like that, Vaggie! You’re just fooling yourself! Please dump this lezzy and get back to your true self!”
Vaggie snaps back, also in all caps, “Don’t you dare call her that!”
Beside Vaggie, Charlie is watching and trembling with a shocked and worried expression, a wobbly speech balloon with only an ellipsis above her as she clasps her hands in front of her chest. Behind Lute, Adam seems to be a distance away as he watches with a bored expression and sips on a drink with a straw.
The original panel is at the bottom, showing that Lute is drawn in place of Nick, Vaggie in place of Judy, and Charlie in place of an original vixen character. There is no character corresponding to Adam’s presence. End description.]

since my old blog got nuked, i gotta make this post again because yall refuse to be anything but ignorant
lesbian sexuality ≠ heterosexual men's sexuality
lesbian attraction to women ≠ men's attraction to women
trans men cannot be lesbians, because they are men. if you think so, youre a transphobe as well as a lesbophobe.
lesbian attraction is not perverse, predatory, dehumanising to or sexualising of women's bodies
men have never and will never be included in lesbian sexuality and attraction under any circumstance
(and if your mind immediately goes to trans women and transfems when reading the above, congrats, youre a transphobe)
butch, femme, stud and stone are lesbian only identities
similarly, dyke is a slur that literally means lesbian. if youre not a lesbian, you're not a, nor can you 'reclaim', dyke.
butches and studs ≠ men or man-lite
butch ≠ masculine
femme ≠ feminine
transmasc ≠ trans man, therefore transmasc lesbians are a thing and trans men cannot ever be lesbians
trans women and transfems have been & will always be included in lesbian attraction, sexuality and community
trans lesbians & transfems can be butch
he/him lesbians ≠ (trans)masc, butch, stud lesbians
black lesbians ≠ automatically masc, butch, stud or tops
"bi lesbians" or "mspec lesbians" do not exist.
the split attraction model is for aromanticism and asexuality only. if you identify as such, youre just a bisexual who doesnt wanna unpack your internalised biphobia so resort to lesbophobia to cope with your self loathing caused by harmful stereotypes about your sexuality, which is bisexual. if you claim they do exist, you're both lesbophobic and biphobic
thank you for coming to my TedTalk. im sure you didnt listen to a word i said.

you are not "detrans" you are cis
i'm definitely what you'd call cis too! though cis/bio womanhood is not at all what most tras assume it's like. especially detrans cis/bio womanhood. and for me, the label detrans helped me find others like me. it kept me from hating my own guts. it helped me find a community of ppl who actually understand what i've been through and don't think i'm a freak.
living as trans for 13 years changed what mainstream tras would call my gender identity forever. it also is a way for me to find people who also went thru what i went thru. i get a lot of DMs from other detrans women and detrans men who lived as trans or even transitioned partially/fully like me (i was on testosterone for a bit and have an awkward bit of annoying af stubble T_T gotta get expensive laser for that... it can be isolating!). to me, i will never again be a fully cis woman. i will forever be affected with having struggled with intense dysphoria for 13+ years. i also feel like my cis womanhood in general has forever been changed with me having rejected it and then finding it again - it does NOT feel the same way as my girlhood did. in girlhood, i didn't give a shit what people thought girls or boys needed to do. doubly so because i was autistic. then puberty came, and the usual teenage girl and/or afab experience of needing to conform to cispatriarchal expectations came, and i freaked the fuck out about my boobs, about how boys were suddenly treating me and the things my shitty female relatives told me were "becoming a woman" (all very conservative notions of womanhood) and it grossed me out so badly, on top of grappling with being into other afab people, and i just totally distanced myself from girlhood at all. i gave up on making my own scrungly, gender nonconforming version of girlhood. girlhood felt like it had no room for people like me.
and so i kicked it out of my mind. i obsessed over becoming a boy. some trans boys, ofc, become happily trans men. for me, though, it personally was an escape. i was trans-identified for all the wrong reasons and it really fucked me up. it made my internalized lesbophobia so much worse, to the point where i even started identifying as pansexual/bisexual (PREPOSTEROUS thing for me since i had never ever in my entire life been attracted to a man or someone living as male in society... but i was into non-transitioned transmasc people, so i thought i couldn't possibly be lesbian!). for me, the trans identity was a bandaid, it was a crutch in the worst possible way. detrans people aren't trying to make trans people look bad. we're not trying to convert y'all, we don't give a shit. we're too busy grappling with our newfound connection to cis womanhood/cis manhood and dealing with transition-related issues.
we NEED to find fellow detrans folks or we'll go batshit crazy with shame at having made a mistake, guilt at being weaponized without our consent against the trans community, and just fucking hating how hrt/surgeries affected our bodies and trying to come to terms with that and learning to love our bodies as they are despite it all.
detrans cis womanhood will never be normie cis womanhood.
detrans cis manhood will never be normie detrans manhood.
living as trans for years affects you DEEPLY. trans people should know this first-hand. detrans folks, simply by starting to live as cis / bio men/women again, cannot suddenly erase all those years as if they never existed. we just can't. i'm sorry. i tried. dear goddess i really fucking tried harder than you'll ever know. and so did so many of my detrans friends and my darling detrans girlfriend.
but detrans people need other detrans people.
mainstream tras don't understand us.
cis/bio radfems who aren't detrans often misrepresent us.
we need eachother.
and our voices NEED to be heard too.
both radfems AND mainstream tras don't get it.
detrans & desisted folks NEED sisterhood & siblinghood.
only detrans women understand other detrans women.
only detrans men understand other detrans men.
i will always be seeking out lost detrans sisters. and i will always want to hear out my detrans brothers. i love my detrans/desisted community. we've been through really hard shit, we're more likely to be gay, more likely to be traumatized, more likely to be autistic. we're not what you think. and now you need to sit down and hear our stories. sorry. it has to happen. or feel free to block all detrans voices and plug your ears and go lalala! and now i'm not talking to you specifically anon, i don't want to put assumptions in your little mouth. but i'm talking to ALL mainstream trans activists, anti-radfems especially, who assume the very worst of us from the get-go. those who want detrans & desisted people to pretend we were always cis and normies who should pretend to not be deeply affected by our real lived detrans/desisted experiences. we will not shut up. we refuse to. both radblr and normie leftblr misrepresent us.
our voices matter. or, at the very least, we deserve to put detrans/desisted in our bios so we can find one another. shoutout to my detrans & desisted siblings!!! i love you!!!! <33

(First two paragraphs sound messed up asf don't read those first and leave it at that, keep reading lmao it gets better i swear 😭)
My personal ick is when people take wlw scenes/songs and make them mlm or mlw... because brutha eugh? We already barely have shit why u gotta take OUR shit and make it all abt u. Idk... am I being a lil slow? I saw a h*skerdust ver of the more than anything reprise and kinda cringed. It was basically just a male version of the song n they jst put the ship as the cover art and yknow idk if thats what kinda urked me or if i jst hate h*skerfuck even more lately. Like... Idc if u make a cover of a wlw song unless u make it wlm. But it kinda disgusts me when someone makes it mlm too?? Like idk if that's jst me upset that chaggie isn't super popular (which is completely the shows fault and the fact ppl just always favor mlm 😭). But imma leave it at that I'm usually the type to wait for someone else's opinion so I can make my own.
When u make a mlw characters into wlw or mlm it's aight cuz they literally have the majority of the entire internet what's it gonna do? Hurt your representation? Yap yap. But it's equally messed up to me to make any lesbian media gay and uplifting that. Genderbending doesn't count, I love gender bending, but making that and putting it above the original wlw media is straight up lesbophobia I don't care.
No. I think THATS my problem actually. It's when you make any wlw media into mlm or wlm and UPLIFTING that higher than the original. THATS my problem. Not the change itself, but the putting it on a higher shelf than the smaller amount of wlw rep and saying it's "better". Because that itself is messed up asf.
It's kinda of similar to the whole carmillo carmine thing. Because they genderbent carmilla and said that he was BETTER THAN HER?? Istg hazbee fans are fucking terrified of women or somthn because I keep seeing this shit. Like my entire blog has always been women loving women. Because ykno I'm a girl kisser 😝 so it's hilarious to think abt a hazboo fan screaming in terror at two girls kissing 😭
This goes with mlm too but it's not as big of problem let's be real. It probably happens, not sure, I have NEVER seen it happen before so that's telling enough.
(THE FIRST TWO PARAGRAPHS SOUND BAD NOW... DONT READ THOSE AND LEAVE IT AT THAT PLEASE.)

hey just a question, why did you say the results of the lesbian flag poll were cringe?? is there a problem with the labrys flag that i am not aware of because i learned it existed only some months ago and don't know anything about it or was it about something else like the other options?
I talked about it a few times in the past but basically the association of the black triangle with lesbians is a historical fallacy
There was no State persecution of lesbians in Nazi Germany. German homosexuals were deported on the basis of the §175 of the penal code, which referred exclusively to homosexual males. Some Nazi politicians argued in favour of expanding this article to include lesbians too, but this never happened because the general opinion was that lesbians, as women, could not genuinely be exclusively same sex attracted and could be 'reeducated' by the sexist laws that confined women to the family household. So lesbians weren't sent to any camp on the mere basis of their sexuality. Instead, Nazi lesbophobia looked like that:
closing down lesbian social places, like bars
shutting down lesbian newspapers and cultural magazines
(Weimar Germany had the most vibrant lesbian scene in Europe in the 1920s)
prohibition of lesbian subculture in general
increased social control of lesbians in the public sphere, with lesbians being reported to the authority if engaging in homosexual behaviour, which could lead to jail time (not camp)
In Austria, there were law articles explicitly condemning lesbianism, but lesbians were sent to Austrian jails, not to Nazi camps There is no archival evidence of one single lesbian being sent to a concentration camp (needless to say, there's even less evidence of a lesbian being sent to an extermination camp) for the sole reason of her sexuality. In Ravensbrück, the largest Nazi women-only concentration camp, we found record of only three women whose individual files mentionned their being lesbians. In two of those cases, those women had been deported because they were political opponents, with 'lesbian' an aggraviating factor. In the other case, the woman was deported as an 'asocial' and therefore made to wear the black triangle signifying 'asocial'
Then, in the late 80s, with the emergence of commemoration politics regarding the Nazi persecution of gay men, lesbian activists started attending commemorative events and that is when the argument that lesbians were made to wear the black triangle started to be told in speeches. Those speeches didn't quote any archival evidence. Personally, I think people got this idea because the memoirs and autobiographies that were published in the postwar era were, for the vast majority, written by former political deportees. In Nazi camps, political prisoners and asocial prisoners had a feud and fought to get to the top of the camp hierarchy. Both sides disparaged the others with lies. In Nazi camps, homosexual relationships were common among all prisoner categories, but political female prisoners weaponized this against asocial prisoners to paint them as 'masculine, dominating, Nazi-loving dykes', and they described them as such in their memoirs
tl;dr: lesbians weren't sent to camps en masse because of their sexuality, lesbians weren't made to wear the black triangle on the sole basis of their sexuality except for one lone recorded case, and the association of lesbians with the black triangle comes from postwar homophobic literature
I gotta say tho, Nazis burnt a lot of archival evidence so maybe there used to be a lot of texts pertaining to groups of lesbians being deported for their sexuality but since that has never been brought up in any witness testimony, that's unlikely
Also, badge identification systems varied from one camp to another (like in some camps, Jews didn't wear a yellow star but a blue and white armband), that's something people seem to forget when they want to argue one badge necessarily meant one thing exclusively. as for Sinti and Roma, the black triangle, the black triangle with a white Z in it, and the brown triangle were used depending on context. At Auschwitz, the people made to wear the black triangles were 'asocials' (people whose behaviour was detrimental for the well-being and development of the race; you could conceptualize it as a form of 'social racism' or racism applied to social classes as the poor were the most impacted by it; petty criminals, prostitutes, alcoholics, homeless people, etc.; they served a time in the camp before being allowed to come back to civil society. this was not the case for the Sinti and Roma who were associated with the 'asocial' because criminality, prostitution, etc, were deemed natural to the Romani race, and who weren't allowed to ever leave the camp because they were destined to be killed)
Books:
on the tensions between asocial and political prisoners
Nikolaus Wachsmann, KL: A History of the Nazi Concentration Camps
on the persecution of lesbians in Nazi Germany and Austria
Regis Schlagdenhauffen, Queer in Europe during the Second World War [yes, I know, it says 'queer', but it's a bad translation. the original title says 'homosexuals']
on political female prisoners associating lesbianism with asocial prisoners to paint them as masculine, dominating and pro-Nazi in their memoirs
Claudia Schoppmann, “This Kind of Love”: Descriptions of Lesbian Behaviour in Nazi Concentration Camps (available here)

A PSA
Okay I normally don't make posts about TERFs like these because I prefer to reblog them from trans people who know more about this stuff then I do but I just gotta say this, and if I'm being for fucking real I can't believe this even has to be said:
Stop posting screenshots of TERF posts and saying "op was a terf so I'm stealing this post! 🤪"
Seriously, stop it. You're not doing anything good by taking TERF talking points and reposting them to your blog. All you're doing is allowing TERF rhetoric to continue to spread and sanitizing it so that people become desensitized to it and don't recognize actual TERF rhetoric when they see it.
When you screenshot a TERF post and say "op was a TERF" all you are doing is validating TERF points whether you agree with them or not. Because every post a TERF makes, even if it seems benign, is connected to their rotten, transmisogynist ideology. You cannot divorce TERF statements from their true intentions. I think a lot of TMEs on this site really underestimate the fact that TERF is a harmful hate movement. Every statement a TERF makes, even if it seems harmless or actually feminist, is ultimately going to be tarnished by the fact that they are made with the intention of targeting trans women and wanting them dead. If a post is about how men are awful or are "raised" to be a certain way and is made by a TERF, then congratulations, you just found transmisogynistic rhetoric that is actually about trans women and their apparent "male socialization". If a post is about how lesbians should be allowed to not like men and how men are forcing themselves onto lesbians, but a TERF made it, then it's not actually a lesbian-friendly post. It is a transphobic post about how transfem lesbians apparently "prey" on cis lesbians(which they also think straight trans men are, let's make that very clear) by merely existing. Same for any post about the word queer or the beauty industry or periods or anything of the like. Even if they don't explicitly say it, TERFs are inherently lumping trans women in with(cishet) men and trans men in with women/lesbians and THAT is the true meaning of the post. You're not making it any better by reposting it from them.
TERFs know exactly how to make their posts seemingly benign and genuinely positive on the surface so that people get sucked in to thinking that they are truly for the feminist cause and actually have good points to make. But all of it ultimately serves the purpose of continuing transmisogyny, and when you post screenshots of their posts and go "I really wanted to reblog this post but op was a terf so I'm stealing it! 😇" all you are doing is giving terfs a platform and saying that we should listen to them. You're exposing trans women to beliefs and opinions of people who ultimately wish to harm them and do NOT have the same innocent intentions that you believe they have from looking at the post at first glance. You are not helping women. You are not helping feminism. You're internalizing TERF rhetoric, and you're allowing other people to internalize it, too.
It's one thing if you don't realize a post was made by a TERF before you reblog it, and then you delete it afterwards. But if you know someone is a TERF and intentionally repost their vile, sickening rhetoric wrapped up in pink feminist bows and go "I like the message of this post but op is a terf so 🤷🏾‍♀️" then you may as well be reblogging it directly from them, because you're still agreeing with TERFs at the end of the day.
What can you do instead? You can reblog feminist posts from amazing and intellectual trans women who actually are genuine about the cause and actually know what they're saying. They have way better views on feminism and misogyny and lesbophobia and the patriarchy then a radfem who thinks woman=vagina and man=penis ever will, trust me. Uplift their voices instead of stealing from conservative hate groups. It really is that simple.
