You have been separated from your husband as he was on a mission for around two weeks. In that time you desperately missed him, let alone you were stressed about him not coming home to you as he wasn’t allowed to make contact while there. You would pace the house, cleaning, dusting.. laying in bed.. wearing his clothes.. inhaling his scent- what could you say? You missed him. And the feeling of losing him was devastating to you.

You walked into the living room, looking at the black soft leather couch that faced the flatscreen tv on the wall across. There was a coffee table halfway between the tv and the couch, maybe just a little closer to the couch. The wall next to the tv had a picture of you and your husband, posing for his mom’s modeling industry. Katsuki had requested that the photo stayed with you both rather than be released, of course this could be because of the mature outfit you were wearing. Or because he thought it was special- maybe both.

It didn’t matter to you, you just loved that he kept it. After you looked away from the picture you walked to the couch, sitting down with Katsuki’s shirt on….

Turning the Tv on to watch the news or maybe a show you hadn’t finished was a good way to pass time. You had no idea when Katsuki would get home, so you did little things to pass time.. the more time passed, the more exhausted you became. Being a pro hero yourself was tiring on top of all this too, besides you had a rough day at work anyway.

You grabbed the pillow beside you, laying down with your head rested on it. Little did you know, sleep was climbing its way to your eyes and mind the moment you laid down. … soon enough, keeping your eyes open wasn’t a main concern anymore as the sounds of the TV drained away in your head as your eyes shut and you fell asleep.

As the minutes turn to hours, you grew restless on the couch- a normal occurrence that happened while Katsuki was gone. Your mind plagued your thoughts with dreading outcomes of your husbands departure for this mission. Would he die? Would a hero return with his hero suit? Would he disappear? What if there was someone who caught his attention more?

It was an endless stream of lies and nonsense that your heart knew the truth, but your mind was clouded with delusion… right as it started to get loud you heard a voice that made you jolt awake slightly,

“Hey… baby..? You alright?”

Your eyes snapped open to see your husband, looking into your eyes with a calloused hand rubbing your cheek. His ruby eyes were stern and gentle, his expression tense yet relaxed.. god.. he was so beautiful to you..

“Katsuki?.. is that- wait- Katsuki!?”

You were in shock- but that shock melted into relief, joy, saddness, love. You felt tears sting at your eyes as you gazed into Katsuki’s,

“Yea, it’s me ya little shit.. I’m home now- I’m ok, so you can relax now..”

He made the first move, putting his gauntlets down with his free hand and picking you up from your laying position, holding you close to him. His face buried in your neck as his arms wrapped around your waist. Your legs around his waist, forcing you to straddle him- but that made it all the more better.. You hugged him back, your arms around his neck as you nuzzled your face against his neck, inhaling a choked sob,

“O-oh Katsuki.. oh my god.. I missed you so much- you’re ok.. thank the gods you’re ok..”

You sniffled into his neck, inhaling his scent. His hands roamed your body, providing gentle squeezes and comfort. You could feel him take in you and your scent as well, letting out a shakey breath. Forcing you to pull away and look at his face- surprised to see tears in his eyes and his lip trying to quiver,

“Kats..? What’s wrong? Honey?”

Your words hit him like bricks, he growled and wiped his eyes. Swallowing thickly, he was never great with his emotions,

“Woah hey.. love.. it’s ok to cry- what’s wrong? I never see you cry”

You rubbed his neck, your hands trailing up to his cheeks and stroking them. His hand came over and covered one of them,

“I hated that mission… y/n.. I.. there were too fucking many close calls. All those fucking idiots.. fucking.. fuck- god dammit..”

You rarely ever see him break down like this.. and hearing him talk like that- the fear in his voice. It made your heart hurt, you placed a kiss on his forehead to get him to be quiet. Which earned his attention to look at you.

Some of your own tears fell and you leaned in slightly, your lips just brushing his. You could hear his breath hitch slightly, looking at your lips and your eyes before he closed the gap with a hungry and desperate yet gentle kiss. His lips moved against yours as his hand traveled up your back into your hair and the other traveled down to your ass..

it coaxed your legs to tighten around his waist. Causing him to stand and walk to your shared bedroom while making out with you.

He laid you down on the bed, his lips moving from your mouth down to your neck and collarbone. He pulled away to look at you, gazing into your eyes with a soft- stern expression,

“I think.. I’m gonna show you how fucking much I missed your ass..”

You feel heat rise to your cheeks, smiling softly as your husbands gaze drifted down to your lips. His expression tense yet with tenderness wanting to flow through.. you lean up and kiss him softly.

He groans in response kissing you back in a deep passionate fervor… you moaned into the kiss and things started to heat up..

- facial hair... jig probably digs the five-o-clock shadow look but it usually means "bad mood" for zeni. real late nights, real big loss, real bad scolding from the higher-ups. lupin's dead for the third time this year and he's at the end of his rope about it. shit like that.

- lupin domesticated the shit outta jigen ok. he's the mother hen now. he knows what it looks like (and feels like) when someone's not taking care of themselves so he does the whole shebang-- cooking, cleaning, making sure everyone's hydrated n fed n not slowly rotting. he scolds lupin (plotting heists spiral) and goemon (training spiral) enough that they know to be more careful, but zenigata doesn't get that sorta constant attention since he's solo most of the time

- what im getting at is that jigen checks in after really rough shit ykno. things that might not hit their side very hard but he knows is devastating for zenigata. makes sure he isnt drinking himself into a gutter, makes sure he's sleeping, makes sure he isnt eating exclusively half-assed cup noodle, makes sure he gets cleaned up/shaved. then when zeni's tentatively grateful and Over It and threatening to arrest him again (in that order) he dips

- I FUCKING LOVE THE PATCHUP TROPE and i blame this fandom exclusively. there's this one jigzeni fic where zenigata admits to practically being the gang's third-pick medic and i really really like that idea. so yeah that mother hen shit goes both ways because thats just how zenigata is innately

- hes super cushy with jigen specifically cause jigen's kinda like when you try to clip a dog's nails when they do NOT want that to happen. theres always the looming threat that shit might get loud. and bitey. aaany moment now. but jigen sucks it up real quick when he sees how big this fuckin guy's hands are and how good he is with them winkwinkwink

- put these two alone together for too long and they'll blurt out shit that they BOTH need to hear but have always been too. idk. nervous? afraid? to say. probably afraid. they hate that it's so easy to talk about what's weighing on them

- mostly intrusive thoughts about lupin, but sometimes it's little stuff. i.e. "i actually don't like black coffee all that much but i can't bring myself to sweeten it up because i feel like i don't deserve it/it doesn't feel like i earned it."

- neither can bring themselves to tell the other that That Doesn't Make Sense and is In(s)ane. they both know it's nonsensical and neurotic but they both feel the same deep deep down, too. they get why. they hate it they HATE that they align on a intuitional level

- but once they break that initial barrier of extremely awkward silence where they just KNOW they're thinking the same thing, they can not and will not shut up about how they're feeling

- don't get me wrong. jigen totally vents to lupin (and to goemon and 10000% to fujiko too) but only zenigata can match that same level of angst he has and that's what makes said venting actually, genuinely, deeply relieving. because fuck, he gets it

- they're a tag team of worry. hype men of worry. there's this one mike birbiglia bit from "old man and the pool" -- can't even enjoy a comedy special without this pairing whacking me upside the head with a two-by-four, smh-- that is apparently jigzeni to me:

- "she's worried, and then because she's worried, i'm worried. we're like an anxious improv group. like... i initiate with a worry. she "yes and..."s the worry with some misgivings. i close out the scene with some neuroses, and then sometimes we have sex, and that's so fun."

- on that note, jigen's Worry is very much internal whereas zenigata's is very much not. this is borderline fascinating to them. "how're you so calm all the time" versus "how're you so hopped up on all this energy all the time". the answer is waiting till 2am to unpack by screaming into a pillow and/or drinking till they zonk out

- they tend to gravitate to certain places for what i guess you would call "noncommittal company"-- ambience, if anything-- and since they tend to be holed up in the same areas random bar encounters happen frequently

- they talk about drinking habits a lot. preferred drinks, cocktails, brands-- they're both big fans of whiskey

- jigen buys them both a bottle of real high-their top-shelf shit after particularly rough yet successful heists (the ones where they team up to take out nazis or whatever the hell) and zenigata (after a lot of convincing) never really turns jigen down when he offers him a glass

- okay so either these two happen slowly over many, many months (with the backdrop of many, many years behind them) or they happen IMMEDIATELY, no unpacking, no real deep thought from either of them. if they don't have that “ah, fuck it” moment then they've got a lot of silent pining to look forward to (which i rant about [here])

(OC Lore and design time!)

(it got longer again ... sorry ... idk how to make things short, i just need to talk, but i guess if you can read the written stuff in the pic thats the barest bare bones of what i wrote here)

i was asked what new lore story stuff i had thought about that made me sad which i mentioned a bit ago, and while that is too hard to explain given all the missing context i thought i could at least talk about lore having to do with it :D

so, (Lord) Eadrya is one of my fav OCs (big blue lad, here a rough sketch in humanoid form) they are both one of if not THE most powerful demon alive and the most battle trained;

at the mid point of the story the demon world gets invaded by the celestials (the angel inspired things i talked about in the previous lore post with Xaror) and Shargon, as the king, should be their first and only frontline, but at this point his life is only being sustained by maschinery after being mortally wounded, he cannot fight (he realizes what is going on, rips himself off the maschinery to get at least his youngest child to safety, barely managing it before dying- the guardian, the demons god, takes over his body to attempt to fight against the celestials but cant keep itself alive long enough since its host is already dead) Eadrya takes the role of the frontline fighter (despite being very full of themselves and aggressive they care about their 'job' of protecting their own, also giving them the chance to show off just how strong they are); the fight was going well for them all things considered, but when the guardian activates it drains the power of all elemental lords (which Eadrya is one of, and since they have the most strength it also takes the most from them), so much so that they lose the fight and suffer deadly wounds (the worst being a spear through the chest made of a material that grows hard, root-like formations when in contact with demonic blood like a fungus but worse, also stopping any self healing processes) after the guardian falls apart it creates a huge shockwave of energy that stuns every living thing within a certain distance and possibly more-

Eadrya (in true demon form, so like a blue whale in size at least) was likely taken through an active gateway to the human world in a large tidal wave also created by the guardians fall; they wash up in the harbor of a small secluded village, the head of which is 'lady 13'; although never having seen a demon before and everyone being afraid (largely thinking its a strange hurt animal, only she suspected otherwise), they still gather all villagers to pull out the celestial spear, which is diffcult and brutal given that its already taken root, but the village lacked both knowledge and means to help any other way- doing so damaged their heart which is how they were able to collect samples of all three demonic blood types ('normal' -red like humans-, energy -essentially purely magic- and heartblood -highly concentrated energy only found within the heart of a demon and the only one to contain genetic material) (this is the start of Eadryas character arc, having to deal with the fact that their world is likely destroyed, them failing what they didnt think they could fail, having lost a battle so badly (even if not really their fault) for the first time and not knowing if literally anyone else has survived .. also being now stuck in the human world, which they dont like)

Lady 13 (placeholder name? stands for experiment 13) is a human that was tricked by demon hunters to enroll into a series of experiments trying to create hybrids of demons and humans, which they hoped would be powerful and easily controllable tools for their endeavours, though the two are inherently not compatible, they tried grafting body parts of demons on humans to make them compatible- all experiments failed except for her, more or less, though she never got to see the hybrid she carried and was then told it had died too, they threw her out believing she wouldnt survive much longer either and all such experiments were cancelled due to the high cost of human life, research material (demons are still rare) and upkeep with no successful results Lady 13 survived though (perhaps even via the pirates picking her up?) and she ended up living in said small village far away, hiding her half demonic body, though most know there soemthing 'wrong' with her (her being this tall when it doesnt fit the rest for one), only few know the full extent; she enjoys the life she has now, perhaps on the more poor side but safer and more loved than ever before; she largely lead the efforts to try and help Eadrya when they ended up in the harbor, though there wasnt that much anyone could do it was still enough- they leave immediately after waking up, but return after really having nowhere to go and struggling to deal with everything that has happened; over time (probably years) they start to open up towards the people there (though not .. very much) enough to get rather close with Lady 13 too- she actually falls madly in love but after Eadrya (extremely aro/ace) rejects all her attempts quite clearly she respects their boundaries

However, after hearing news of potential demon sightings Eadrya decides to leave in hopes of not being the last demon left after all; Lady 13 then decides to reveal her secret to them (though hearing and seeing what lengths hunters would go to for their experiments makes them absolutely seething with rage- she insists on not being out for revenge) and asks if they would be willing to donate a small amount of heartblood; shes always wanted to be a mother but is now incompatible with humans too- through things she picked up back at the experiments facillity, hers and her doctors research she is sure that is all that is needed, she dares to ask since she does not know when, if ever, she will meet another demon, much less one she could actually trust enough for this though Eadrya hesitates (why would she want to go through the same thing again that didnt work and threatened her life, if it does work, do they want to be involved with any of this? what if hunters find out it worked after all?) but after her ensuring that they would have no part in it other than giving up a little blood and would not be considered a parent in any way, nor made responsible for anything that might happen to her, but considering it all in the end they agree to it

only for her to reveal shes had a small bottle of it already, along with multiple samples of the other types, which she collected when Eadrya was bleeding out into the harbor not knowing if they will survive, though not wanting to make use of it without their consent either way (they are actuallly rather touched by this)

alot later the main group returns here and it turns out to have worked (though she is unable to walk/bedridden for a long while bc it did alot of damage to her body, which can heal since its demons parts, but only really slowly bc she does not have a full functioning system and no demonic blood of her own -she uses the other samples for the healing process-) though its a little awkward to explain, especially considering that 13.1 took alot after Eadrya xD (their theory as to why it worked so "well" that time is that even though the sample was already taken, them giving their consent for it still made it less likely to be rejected; demons dont need partners to have offspring, and all can do it, they just have to decide to- so them agreeing to it, even though its long been outside their body, still had an effect on the blood sample)
