is it just me but it feels like five got dumbed down and nerfed the most in terms of his powers? Five didn’t see Ben steal the marigold, he didn’t figure out the CIA was part of the keepers but Luther did? What? No hate to Luther at all, I love that oaf but it doesn’t feel like FIVE!

Not to mention he was the ONLY one whose powers weren’t working or he couldn’t use to his advantage? Like what? Five? FIVE??? He should’ve figured out the teleporting thing. He should’ve figured out the subway. One opportunity I think the writers didn’t use is as the seasons progress five gains a deeper understanding of time travel and he’s able to figure it out more and more, so it comes full circle from s1 when he got stuck in the apocalypse because he didn’t understand time travel, but they don’t do that!! Like is this the same five who figured out what the sigil was in the s3 finale?

One reason I loved five was his intelligence but it doesn’t feel like it in s4

im sorry is there any straight explanation to spocks character arc in the motion picture??? or am i missing something???? he mindmelts with the machine and- as hes clinging onto kirks arm- tells him how v'ger is just a cold logical machine and it'll never understand this simple feeling (what simple feeling spock. wHATSIMPLE FEELING.) (spock has just come back from the ritual which purges vulcans of all emotion, making them only logical beings). hes so overwhelmed by this realization (hes JUST about to cry. ive never seen him teary-eyed im unwell) that at the end of the movie he decides to forego kolinahr completely. oh and this insane arc and life changing decisions are never really verbally adressed btw.

only bad thing about being in a fandom where one of the characters canonically has wings is the painful lack of classic wingfic. where is my everything's the same but people have bird wings watford au where one day baz notices simon hasn't been grooming his wings bc of an injury to his ribs so he sits on his bed and makes a whole fuss about how "i'm not doing this to be nice, snow, your wings are just a travesty to look at" and then proceeds to carefully and lovingly tidy his feathers in drawn out silence while they both pretend grooming someone else's wings isn't one of the most intimate things you can do for another person. will this heartbreak never end
