pas de trois – chapter 6. curtain call

the end! this is the final chapter of pas de trois. :')

what started as a teeny tiny vague nugget of an idea (I wanna write a story involving a string of conflict between Ide, Light, and Matsuda during the days leading up to Yellow Box ??? with alternating POVs and angst ? a lot of angst?? with dancing/acting/play motifs??? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️), snowballed into this. it was a fun story to craft, albeit long and challenging, but I loved writing it. and it's sad to say goodbye. :')

I hope you've enjoyed it!! ♥ it was a genuine pleasure to share this fic and see each chapter with fresh eyes through other people's reactions. it's just my silly little self-indulgent thing, but I really mean it when I say it was special to me –the experience writing it and posting it, discussing it with readers– all of it! ♥ So, thank you very much for reading!!! I am so hype for the I Don't Want To Be A Magical Girl animatic pilot @kianamaiart is in the process of making right now. Something just clicked in my brain where I had to make an elaborate piece of fanart with these amazing character designs the second I saw them, so I took the opportunity to sit down and finally learn Clip Studio Paint properly. Logo was made by kianamaiart and julietran.jpg on instagram. I just cropped out the solid background color for this fan poster to give it some extra flair. Kiana, you're a phenomenal artist and person and I can't wait to see what you've got in store with this project. I hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it. :)

#poorly drawn odyssey #the odyssey #odysseus #penelope #epic the musical #Epic's version was very sweet and very well executed (and so cathartic!)#But Odyssey Penelope is *so* done with all the bullshit at this point in the story.#Credit where it is due; at this point she's been through a lot.#And to top if all off - her own son and one of the few maids on her side are buying into this (supposed) ruse.#This cannot have been the only time someone tried to pull this trick on her either.#Its the contrast between: 'Oh you're My husband?' and 'Ohh *sureeee* you're my husband. Just like the 30 other 'Odys' before you.'#The olive tree bed trick is a great gambit because it really is the final test to verify his identity.#I'm just a sucker for couples who have a secret only they know between them I suppose!#The match each other in will and wit! They will always find each other!!!#Anyways. The Odyssey is a worthwhile read and I highly recommend it. Epic is also a great musical worth checking out.

unfortunately, due to budget cuts, the pokémon assigning quiz has been canceled. instead, you must spin THE WHEEL, assigning you a random, unevolved, non-legendary and non-mythical pokémon. you must now go on some sort of world-saving adventure as this pokémon. good luck!

tell me in the tags what you rolled, and how you feel about it - for bonus points, you can spin the wheel again for (or just take your pick of) a pokémon to be your partner.

bonus rules:

you're not shiny unless the wheel tells you you're shiny

take your pick of regional forms and evolutions (for example, if you roll vulpix, it's up to you whether that means normal or alolan vulpix)

apply whatever logic you like with regards to gender
