My comic is so pretty...

The hiatus is letting me take a little extra time on these episodes, and I'm definitely putting it to good use!!!

#almost done with my 8th episode... which will give me. two weeks. of buffer...#id really like at LEAST a month... but to be more comfortable id like two #which means 2-6 more episodes before I come back!#I've got about 7 weeks so its possible. but i do still have to finish book 4 #so much to do ..........#I decided for my next comic im doing 3 updates a month.#having 10 days instead of 7 to make an episode is such a huge huge huge difference...#difference in quality and in my health!#anyways the comic is really pretty im really happy with the work im doing rn #the environments especially. im getting to spend a nice amount of time on them and theyre turning out so nicely #its nice to be able to write with a lot of different environments and not have to redo panels when I get to them cause of time #cause every time theres a wild angle? you need a new background...#so sometimes. often actually. there just isnt the time to make the backgrounds for those and i have to make them more flat...#which is fine. it doesnt really affect anything narratively. but. idk. it's kinda sad right?#anyways yeah! 10 days will be much better.#36 episodes a year is about what ive been uploading with my hiatuses on the weekly schedule anyways!#so might as well cut out that super stressful middleman and just commit to that #52 a year is just such a huge difference and i have to accept its not possible to me #i will hurt myself trying to do that. and i want to make comics my whole life!#so i cant push myself that hard now and sacrifice my future. we're gonna go slower after this...#anyways yeah cant wait to come back but also time. if I could get an extra week like a secret one just for me #where theres no chores no nothin just me and my work #thatd be great! so go ahead and do what you gotta do to give me a little pocket dimension #me: ugh i want to return right now...#the more logical me: NO we need the time to finish everything!!!!!! Good morning 🙏🏼

I want to thank everyone their support with reblogging my stuff over the years and reblogging some of the context of the situation.

Tumblr and Instagram is filled with the most supportive people I’ve ever had the chance of meeting. The last time something like this happened, I didn’t have much support, not even from people I thought were close to me. It took me a year or two to be okay with being perceived again in fandoms. So I’m very grateful for everything.

I just wanted to post that I appreciate all of the asks and I’ve been reading all of them. I actually get anxious I’m spamming everyone too much so I probably won’t reply to everything. Please don’t feel pressured to support me financially, there’s is a free option on patreon to follow. I’ll post future project plans and occasional updates because I still love comics and I still love DC/Marvel. I do enjoy having people following along for my art/reading journey so I would always be okay with people just following for free. My brain is telling me this post is too long now so I will go 🙏🏼😭

Genuinely Silver is essentially just transport at this point which is a shame because he started out as one of the most compelling aspects of chapter 7 as a whole and I yearn to get back to his and his family's (being diafam but also his bio family) story sooooo badly

As fun as it is to re-explore these aspects of the other cast, I was really loving Dipsomania's contributions to the main story and I miss them, and Silver finally got to shine a little bit after being a mostly off in the background kind of character 🥺 and I want more sleeping beauty

I feel a bit like an asshole.

#One of my friends is gonna be in my state for her honeymoon cruise #And we've been friends for almost 7 years now #Never met in person before #And I'd be stoked to meet her but the last few years she's realized she has DID #So I'm not gonna be meeting HER but an alter of her that I'm not the biggest fan of #I don't hate this alter or whatever but I don't like her enough to drive 3 hours to go see her #And I have to pretend like I'm speaking to someone who is like. It's a little endearing but also I don't think I'm a very good influence on young people sometimes LMAO Like, oh shit should I put a weed/alcohol FAQ + surgeon general's warning on my blog or something?? hahah

I'm not going to, like, sanitize my personal adult spaces (this blog, Twitter) because younger people follow me—I'm not their parent, they aren't my responsibility—but sometimes I worry some young person will get offered weed/alcohol in a bad crowd and think about how much fun I seem to have with it and end up having a bad experience. There have been a few (rare) times where I've written a post and deleted it because of both how big this blog has gotten and because I know there are younger people that follow me lol

Just like... If you're gonna try drugs or alcohol for the first time, always make sure it's with someone you can trust on about the same level of feeling safe having a (platonic) sleepover at their house and remember that both weed and alcohol can take a bit to kick in so GO SLOW LMAO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD START SMALL LOLL & stay hydrated

Cigarettes fuckin suck, also. They taste bad, the high's shit, they're expensive, and it's a royal pain in the ass to break the addiction. Sol Radguy Blazing Gamer Tip: Don't even bother with cigarettes, you aren't missing anything

#alia talks #turning 25 this month and I was having some semi existential crises this month #but I was thinking #when I was 18 I dropped out of [prestigious uni] half way thru first sem bc I couldn’t hack it #stayed T home and did community college for 3 years before transferring to [comparatively mid tier ranked] uni #I used to feel so much shame over it #And fear over whether or not I’d get a job move out etc #But now that I’m halfway thru my 20s I’ve been looking back #and as of right now I’m the only person in my family with health insurance #One of the things my parents used to warn me about was that by age 26 you cannot be in your parents insurance in the USA #So by that point I needed to have a full time job #And I used to be scared ghat I’d never make it #And now I’m a year away from 26 #And I’m employed full time w health insurance coverage #Meanwhile both my parents are currently unemployed/self-employed #And most likely cannot ever get a full time job for [reasons]#And my younger sibs don’t have health insurance due to being uni students #(I mean they do through their college maybe)#Just that currently in my family I’m the only one with health insurance through my job #Something I was afraid I wouldn’t have at this age or something that I’d lose #And after nearly 7 years of having ShameTM over it

this is so funny to me actually bcuz this is 100% how i talk abt my characters ages. i know what YEAR they were born and i know what rheir ages are supposed to be at the start of the story but i dont actually know when it takes place?? im really bad at math. There was a moment where rainbow was supposed to be 23 and i somehow accidentally made her 17 lmfao

#theoretically it would take place in 2021 bcuz thats when i created my object ocs but the more time passes #the weirder it feels to have it take place years in the past #i considered moving up their birthdays by a few years but like. idk i like their birthdays theyre cute :3 #bubblegum is SUPPOSED TO BE 15 and she was born july 2007 #watermelon is supposed to be 7 and he was born june 2014 #etc etc #starr is 27 and she was born september uhhh 1995 or 1997 i actually dont remember. whichever one makes sense #also that would mean building block was born in 2020 and since she's always gonna be a baby the furhter away we get #it means that she wouldnt have even been born when the story is actually supposed to take place. Like #i know their birthdays and their ages and what year they were born everybody else has to do the math #to figure out wtf is going on because I DONT KNOW #also that means that building block would be a pandemic baby lmao 😭#what was rhe vibe in nigeria in august 2020 during the pandemic. well i say that like it even happened in their universe #which there really isnt any reason for that to be true #it isnt historically important to mention like..... world war two or slavery or whatever. fucking obviously. in the context of objects #it gets messy so its better to just Not #also the months the characters were born really fuck me up bcuz jayden was born in late december #so for most of the first year that they met he would be.... younger than he actually is being born in 2003 #but since building's block birthday and exact age is the most important timeline-wise #and she was born august 14th 2020 and she's seven months old when they first meet #then it canonically would take place in march 2021 which was my original intention #bcuz that is the actual date that i first created my object ocs #ANYWAY. boring character age ramblings #but its hard to keep track of so i dont even blame the author!!!! birthdays are weird and hard to keep up w/#when you dont know exactly when your story is supposed to take place #assuming its in a normal-ish world im sure fantasy ocs dont have this problem #txt #object ocs

#keese draws #oc art #oc #ocs #seth my beloved <3 #fun fact! he’s very likely my oldest currently used oc #I’m pretty sure I made the rest of the magic cat world for him and if that’s true then he’s at least older than the magic cat world #and he’s also older than eternal gales so that’s another batch of main ocs that he is older than #the only real competition is lace since she’s also super old but alas I have no way of knowing how old she is #she could easily be older than seth but even if she is she’s only been like a real oc for the past few months lol #she was originally just another one off story concept I was obsessed with for like a month and then kinda dropped #I say kinda because she’s probably the only story from that era that managed to resurface every now and then #like it is legitimately quite impressive that she’s from that era and yet managed to be named and remembered for years to come #like I need to make clear I did not name characters very often back then and when I did I usually forgot their names within the day #my memory Sucked back then even more so than it does now #the fact that I can remember as much as I do abt lace in her original form is baffling to me #but still she did go into slumber for like 4-7 years so she doesn’t have the history that seth has to me #the biggest thing I mourn is that I don’t have the original art of seth anymore and haven’t for years #I originally got him from a scratch dta and the host project has been deleted #chances are the original designer doesn’t have the original drawing anymore either 😔#I probably had it downloaded on my school laptop at the time but I obviously can’t access that anymore #idk maybe I imported it onto one of the other projects I drew seth in #I should go look later just to make sure even tho I’m pretty sure they won’t be there
