I introduce to you the sonic au I’ve been working on for nearly three years now!

(off and on, I have a tendency to switch up my hyper-fixation every few months)

SONIC: THE FAST PACED SAGA

or Sonic FPS for short

(the name’s inspired by fifth phantom saga, look it up you freaks, i’m too lazy to explain)

If you’re in the know, you can maybe guess this story revolves around Silver! The boy that’s only been done dirty!! I love him, he deserves better!

and if you maybe wanna know moreee…

Currently, like with everything I make, it’s really just a bunch of scattered ideas.

But!

A few of these ideas have been fully fleshed out, like with Amy, Knuckles, Shadow, Metal, and especially Silver. Now it’s just about stitching them together… which isn’t all that hard, I just like procrastinating

I don’t wanna say too much and spoil anything, so to make a really long story really short, it’s about Silver time traveling and making friends along the way!

Friends he’d do anything for.

Like alter history.

There’s more to say here but I really can’t think of anything lmao

I love the design of Dante but I’m confused why he is wearing Due(an other version of himself) outfit and/or device on his head? Are Due and Dante fuse together? Is Dante trying to pretend he someone else?

omg yes!! thank you for asking!

Okay so, originally, I just really enjoyed the idea of throwing Dante’s chaotic personality into this version of the rescue squad (Plus, I mean, we needed at least two of the og rescue squad members, come on).

My interpretation of PJ is a tad cynical and wouldn’t trust so freely, but Palette would take him in, no questions asked. You see where I’m going with this? It was like throwing a wrench upon a house of cards! I needed it.

Then I was like, okay he’s cool, but how can I work him into the plot? What role can he play here?

Maybe, what if Dante had Due’s backstory?

What if DANTE had Due’s overwhelming power?

He would be furious, spiteful, a walking hazard. Unstable and dangerous. Wanting nothing but to hurt those around him. And more power.

Huh, that sounds familiar…

It’s almost like… there’s four characters already like that? Hmmmm (ﾟωﾟ)

Anyways! His whole arc is really about becoming Due. Working past that rage, finding that hurting others brings no justice, and ending up with nothing but despair.

I really don’t like messing with the kids’ backstories and personalities because I think they’re perfect as is, especially Dante and Due! But it was kind of a necessity if he was going to be in the story.

also, teeny tiny tidbit because I’m crazy; my version of Dante is decently inspired by Red Son’s personality (from lego monkie kid lol), but with the off putting vibes of Vincent (SH3)

Call me Kody or Kodienne (pronounced like codeine), or whatever you like so long as you’re being normal or funny

I go by he/they pronouns

I have debilitating anxiety and depression so if I don’t respond to your message or disappear for long periods at a time, that’s likely the reason

I’ve been dealing with wrist pain for a while now and can’t draw for extended periods of time because of it, ergo a single drawing will take me a very long time to complete, please be patient with me

English is my first and (currently) only language. I’m in the process of learning Spanish and can only understand very simple sentences

I speak/type with a lot of west coast slang and can maybe end up being slightly confusing, I’m sorry in advance

THERES SO MANY OF YOU HOLY SHIT?!!

well, here’s the ref sheet of the multiverse’s dad for y’all

There isn’t really much I can think to say about them since I’m trying to keep ‘em as close to canon as possible

I suppose the only significant difference I can think of is how he views the other characters. It’s relatively similar, except his view on certain out code characters is somewhat skewed. For the better! He can recognize that they’ve broken away from their original script and often has an easier time interacting with them. However, this doesn’t negate his abrasive personality.

If it isn’t entirely clear, the nonsense on the right is Ink’s eye shapes and their correlating emotions. It’s mainly for me but y’all can use it as reference for upcoming comics to better grasp his current emotion!

I won’t make any promises on whether or not they’ll come out anytime soon, I’ve still gotta make Blueberry’s and Swap’s reference sheets!
