It's odd to think how things have escalated to this point.

When you started this whole "sugar companionship", "angel" thing, you didn't exactly expect anything to come of it. More of a last ditch effort to bring in some much appreciated side money, and fulfill someone's social needs while you're at it. It would be a win-win situation, right?

You don't remember how Viridis showed up. Probably through DMs in your social media account. You didn't post too much of yourself there aside from a few photos where you felt particularly pretty, and apparently, your taste for finer items showed itself there, enough for you to get hit up by something other than a scambot and creeps.

In his defense, the guy was never rude towards you. He didn't barge in begging for nude photos or demanding attention. Viridis just told you he thought you were gorgeous, and he wanted to see you living the lavish life you deserved.

Before you could even reply, a notification drops, displaying a sum of money transferred to you. The amount was large enough to have you choke on your own saliva, hysterically cackling.

Ever since then, he's been a permanent figure in your life, constantly there through thick and thin, someone you could even call a friend, even if there's a financial power dynamic always involved in your interactions.

It was hard not to get somewhat attached to your "donator".

You got to know each other, after all. You told him about what you do for a living, and he said he was an important figure in the ring of Sloth. You are both single. He's had bad experiences with former girlfriends and feels incredibly lonely. When you felt depressed, Viridis was there to console you, a generous tip accompanying his request for you to "Go cheer yourself up ;)".

And when he felt bad, he'd buy you something, ask you to unwrap it, send him a voice message saying you loved it.

You don't know when that turned into sending him videos saying you loved him.

It feels weird. Kind of wrong. But the more money he blows on you, the more you get to do all the things your finances never allowed before, the happier you are. So what, if he just wants a little good morning text with hearts and a picture of you dressed in the clothes he buys for you? It's puzzling how he got your measurements so right without asking, but maybe he just has an eye for that kind of thing.

Eventually, things escalated to video calls. And you finally got to see Viridis.

He's a surprisingly well-kept imp, with peculiar looking horns and glazed white eyes. Much better than what the morbid side of your brain was conjuring in its growing restlessness. He'd put so much effort into that paid ten minute call, and seemed so gleeful that you'd been wearing an outfit he put together. More than that, once the nervous jitters were shed, he actually made for a great conversation partner- Were it not for the alarm, you two might have spent an hour or more rambling together.

It comes as no surprise that you eventually started doing meal time calls. He'd pay to eat with you through video call, usually dinner time, or during his breaks. He seemed excited about them every time he "booked" these sessions, even going as far as asking what you'd be eating, and if he could pay you to get the exact same type of food as his. How could you refuse?

Viridis would tell you about his day, you'd tell him about yours, and the two of you would quell your loneliness that way. Sometime he'd hint at things he wanted to buy for you, gouging your reaction, waiting for that shine in your eyes. It always seemed to put a glow on the imp's face whenever you thanked him and got bashful over his many contributions.

He'd say I love you, my pretty bijou, and as agreed, you'd say it back to him in a convincing manner.

Viridis' latest idea involves spending his day off, scheduled to match yours, "with you". As usual, he was straightforward with what he wanted, and paid more than you'd reasonably stipulate for such a service. Enough money that you'd be incredibly foolish to decline, for a single day of sucking up to him- It's not even hard to suck up to the demon, he seems to melt pretty easily from the most basic of praise or admiration.

The imp wants to video call a routine he built for you, essentially. From the moment you put on your makeup and fix your hair to leave, to breakfast where he specified, then a shopping trip to whatever locations you desire, taking breaks for whatever needs you must fulfill in between, down to the moment where you get ready for bed, under the covers, and wish him good night.

It didn't seem so bad, if only a little overwhelming given there's a lot more interaction involved. And so far, things have gone pretty well! You can't lie and say that you're not enjoying getting to spend even more money on all your favorite brands, after all. Sure, at least two separate employees asked if you were in a long distance relationship -Something Viridis was all too eager to confirm- But there's hardly been a hiccup besides that.

" Hey, what do you think about these? " You point the camera at a set of dangle earrings, made of a beautiful rose gold and diamond, molded in the shape of three little hearts. You don't mention the price tag, but it's very visible.

The demon, who appears to be reclinging in a balcony of sorts, hums. " They'd look cute on you, I like the pavé on it. Get them. "

" Hold on, there's more- " You shuffle all the bags you're holding to pan over to a different display. " What about these? "

" Sure, but you're getting the heart ones. " Viridis insists, then pauses as you study the differently styled jewelry. " I should get you something with Hell's gold, the color definitely pops more, I think you'd love some of the stuff we have here. "

" Mhmm, I bet. " You absentmindedly respond. " Too bad I don't live in Hell, hah. "

There's a slightly heavier silence for a few seconds as you worry if you've touched a nerve.

" You could come visit, bijou. "

You resist the urge to snort. " Viridis, I- "

" You know I'd pay for the expenses, right? Get you a nice hotel in Sloth, it's one of the calmer rings, and I'd come pick you up so you're not walking around alone. "

The demon smiles hopefully, taking a sip of what you assume must be some kind of sparkling wine. Nothing less dignified in a glass as unique as the one he flaunts.

" You know that's... " It's hard to deny him without outright sounding ungrateful. That's one thing you've been noticing lately, how hard it seems to deny him. " I... "

Your hesitation is answer enough, making him visibly deflate. There's a flash of sourness on his face, though it fades quickly. " I get it. That's a big step. We can talk about it another time. "

Thank fuck.

You leave that store with possibly the most beautiful pair of earrings you've ever owned, proceed to wrestle a multitude of bags into your car -Thankful Viridis can't see you sweat it out- And proceed to fix yourself up in preparation for the dinner call. It's a lot easier to go through than the entire shopping spree was. You're home, it's just the two of you, the same as any other meal call you've arranged.

" Was today fun for you, bijou? " He sighs, ever enamored it seems.

" Of course! It's always fun when I get to shop with you. " It's not even a lie. Painted nails graze over the empty pasta plate when you pick new kitchenware up. " Let me just put these in the sink. "

" Uhm, before that- " The imp interrupts as soon as you stand. " Can I ask you for something? "

" ... Yeah? "

" I was wondering if you could try out what you bought today... For me. "

" On- On camera? " You gulp, suddenly feeling a lot more timid.

" Yes. " Viridis scratches the base of his horn. " I'd just... I don't know, it makes me feel closer to you than just seeing pictures of you with it on. I'll compensate, don't worry. "

You don't doubt him.

Part of you really wants to say no. In the midst of all this, you've never once undressed for him. You've put on risky outfits that toyed with the lines of common decency, but that's not as intimate as this.

Which also means he'll pay well.

Fuck.

No.

Yes.

He's waiting...

" Uhh- Erm- I... Y-Yeah, I guess we can try that after I organize things. "

" Super! " He winks at you. " Call me when you're ready. "

And you do. With some liquid courage in your system and a healthy amount of love for disposable income, you call Jayde with all the bags laid out around your bedroom, and the phone positioned just so that he can see you stand, and the reflection of your back on the tall mirror behind you.

You're shaking lightly, it feels like the first call you had with him.

When Viridis answers, you almost don't know what to say.

He's... In his bedroom. At least you've seen it enough times to recognize it as such. Distinctly topless, however. It's the first time you've seen him somewhat undressed. Maybe he's trying to be humorous, as if saying he's half-naked in solidarity with you. It doesn't stop you from staring at a moderately attractive figure.

" Hey! You ready, sweetie? " He grins with that jagged mouth.

" Mhm, yeah. " There's a clearing of the throat. " Why don't you pick the first one? "

He did, all too eagerly. You were quick to shuffle in and out of clothes, cheeks heated, a tiny smile on your face, hoping you could simply ignore the growing discomfort. The demon looked thrilled every second of the way, and even if you could somehow feel him ogling the generous slices of skin you'd show, he made an effort to keep talking just so you'd have something else to focus on.

It's okay, he's only seeing you in your underwear from time to time. You're just doing him a one-time favor. You can forget about it later.

" I guess that's it! " You pant, spinning again so that the imp can see how the lace looks on the back of the dress he bought you. " Boy, that was a lot. "

There's some shuffling coming from the phone, he seems to be sitting straighter now. " I'm... Pretty sure I got you something else. "

There's a long pause. You almost pretend you didn't hear him while you readjust the fabric on you.

" A-Ah? Really? "

" Yeah, check those bags bijou, pretty sure that's not all. " He urges. You can hear a faint tap. tap. tap. from his side.

Well, you tried.

Viridis isn't lying, there's another set he bought for you. Except, this set, is lingerie underwear.

Throughout your shopping trip, you'd forgotten that the local mall has a lingerie store. It wasn't one you had the chance to go to many times, since everything there is so expensive, and before Viridis came along your wallet would just scream in its vicinity...

Nevertheless, you weren't cautious enough to hide it from the camera, didn't think you had to, only to be proven wrong when the imp calls for you to halt and get in. It was awkward. It was very awkward. But he seemed enamored with a green set. It had floral designs covering plenty of see-through space, framing delicate parts of the body such as the nipples.

It is a lovely garment, you won't deny that. But you know the main draw for him was that it just so happened to be a shade of green which alluded to his username. It was viridian green. You looked it up from mild paranoia, yes. This was even more personal.

He insisted you got that one, specifically that one. And so, you did.

It's right there, on the last little bag.

God fucking damn it.

" Mm y-yeah, now that you mention it, I think there is something left, right. "

He hums, and you try to draw out the search as much as you can, in spite of the fucking thing being right there, practically staring you in the eyes. You return to the camera's field of view holding the lingerie up timidly.

" How could you forget that one? It's probably the prettiest thing I ever bought you. " Viridis swoons.

" ... You think so? Everything you get me is pretty, Viridis. " Distract him distract him distract-

Predictably, he blushes a little, a small 'heh' escaping him. " Jayde. Call me Jayde. "

Your head snaps up. Oh wow, okay. We've reached that point.

" Jayde. " His face lifts visibly. " Ah, thanks. It's very cute. "

The silence that follows is more tentative, unspoken words hanging in the air.

" Glad you think so... Can't wait to see how it looks on you. " He grins wide, reminding you, for a fraction of a second, that you're dealing with a demonic monster.

" Hahah, o-ok, let me just turn the camera- "

" Actually- " Your heart sinks. " I'd like to see you put it on. "

" The lingerie? " A bit of franticness bleeds into your tone.

" Yes. "

" R-Right now? "

Jayde chuckles. " Well, it's the only thing that's left, isn't it bijou? "

You think about it for a couple of seconds, wherein the reality of your situation seems to sink in. Can you truly deny him? You don't think Jayde would have an explosive reaction to rejection, but then again, you never rejected his suggestions before. What if he gets offended? Pulls away entirely? You'll never be able to afford this lifestyle without him.

What if all of this has stopped being in your control, and, in the end, you transferred the reigns to someone else?

He reads the reluctance plainly written on your face.

" ... Just this one time, sweetie. " He coaxes. " You're incredibly beautiful, you know that? I'd give a few fingers to see you. "

He continues to speak over the mental rut you've been thrown into.

" Any man would be lucky to have a jewel like you. I want to keep spoiling you forever. Please, put it on for me? "

You don't know what it was. Perhaps the fear of losing his money, maybe it was the praise, or simply the pure desire to get this over with- But, you take off your top.

The scene isn't sexy or mischievous, you just glance away timidly as you lower the straps of your bra and reach back to unclasp it. Your slowness may be unintentionally teasing him, and from the small glances you steal at your phone, he looks stupidly concentrated, cheeks nearly as dark as yours as he finally -Finally!- Gets to see your tits.

Air catches in your throat, you can't quite tell if it's the thrill of exposing yourself or pure anxiety.

" They're gorgeous... " He murmurs. You almost didn't hear it.

Slipping the new fabric in is easier, the garment is designed with maximum comfort in mind and settles nicely on your chest, especially when you arrange your breasts into position.

" Perfect. " Jayde sighs. " I wish I could touch you. You're so perfect. "

If you weren't running hotter than a steaming kettle before, you are now. All you manage to respond with is a hum and nervous giggling.

" Put the whole thing on. "

There's a full-body shiver when you start taking your panties off. In all your nerves, you fail to remember that the mirror behind you makes it so Jayde doesn't just get a view of your mons, he also gets to stare at your ass unhindered.

" Fffucking- "

He whispers something you don't notice when the fabric drops to the floor, and you lift a leg away to pick it up.

You're sliding the new ones up your bare legs when there's a little too much shuffling being heard from his side. Not a lot, but just enough to make you escape your own internal panic.

You only now realize that you can't see his hands anywhere. One is definitely holding the phone close to him, the other... Who knows. His shoulder shifts.

" Uhm, hahah, what are you doing there? " You jokingly ask, trying to reduce the awkwardness of the situation by insinuating something ridiculous.

The teasing look shatters when he doesn't immediately respond or laugh it off. In fact, he looks like he's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

" N-!! No way! " You hurriedly fix the panties in place, choking on a breath.

" Sorry- I'm sorry, bijou- " He attempts a wobbly smile, not even denying it. " You just look so adorable flustered. You don't have to see it... Just pretend I'm not... "

Pretend I'm not jerking off, he means.

You can barely raise your voice above a whisper, doing a full turn so he can see how the lingerie sits on your body. Embarrassment has you grabbing your arm and trying to close your legs further, unwittingly flaunting exactly the curves he wants to see.

" You're gorgeous- " He repeats, eyes lidded, something far beyond lust shining in them. " You're the prettiest woman alive. You're sweet, you don't push me away or get spooked. I'm... So happy someone like you gives me the time of day. "

You don't know what to say, don't know what to do besides standing there as a monster audibly gets off on the sight of you in luxury lingerie.

" It's been too long since I met a girl like you. "

You don't quite like the intensity of his stare. Even if no man has ever directed words as flattering as these towards you, it feels like something is too intense about his demeanor.

" Jayde... " You cough. " Are you...? "

" Close. " He admits, laughing breathily. " I've never been this hard before. "

Apparently, he just said it to see you freeze and get even more flustered. " Please hurry up... "

" Are you tired, sweetheart? " His tone is near condescending.

" Y-Yeah. " Anything to speed it along.

" Uhuh, I bet. " Jayde's breathing gets shallower. " You'll go to bed soon, don't worry. "

" Mhm... " God, you're dying inside.

" I love you, bijou. "

Help.

" I... I love you too, Jayde. " You had to drag each word out of your tongue.

That did it. He's tossing his head back and furrowing his brows. You can hear the way Jayde stops breathing to hold any noises in, a groan still makes it through, you hate the traitorous flutter of your pussy that followed.

" I'm... Going to put my pajamas on now. Goodnight Jayde. " You try to break the silence while he recovers.

The expression on the imp's face can only be described as love-drunk, and sweaty.

" Goodnight, sweetie. "

As soon as the call drops, you make an inhuman noise of shame and bury yourself under the covers, kicking shopping bags aside.

It must have been mere minutes before a notification drops.

There's no doubt in you that's the demon's "compensation".

Yes yes yes they censor themselves. They know what to share and what not to, most of the time. They keep it cute for us, many a time they’ve shared without really sharing you know. Like we’ll get a little cute nugget about Jimin playing with flowers and tinting his Eomma’s nails, that it was his dad that made/gave him the recipe for a hangover soup, Jungkook will talk about his Eomma’s bland japchae or his brother taking Bam or something. But it’s little sprinkles here and there. In the earlier days we learnt a bit from when radio interviewers or other interviewers would ask about their siblings, their childhood, their upbringing. These days it’s when their celeb friends also have interviews and are directly asked that they’ll share, like Sungwoon saying he was late to send Jimin of the service or Yugyeom talking about how the 96z all chipped in and bought him a designer bracelet for his birthday and how they all recently went to Busan together.

Yea we got conversations from them during AYS but you’re right it was like ‘oh the kids at the photoshoot’ ‘my album was what I wanted to do etc’ ‘this food is delicious’ ‘I slept well.’

I saw someone talk about how nice it was hearing them talk about Cosmic Terror because it was something unique that gave insight into how they think about something other than idol life. I felt that way too. It was also nice hearing them talk a bit more about the maknae line dynamics when they were younger. But as I said they know how to keep it ‘clean’ and keep it cute and I don’t think we’ll truly have much more than that. It’s a parasocial relationship. Not a real one. We get what they give us. Anymore we’re taking without their consent, overstepping our boundaries and doing it for ourselves, not them.

The same was we have our friends and brother in laws etc that we can chat to at the bar or on the phone or sitting on the couch, so do they. That’s the forum those conversations will happen with them, not with crew and strategically placed cameras. Not even with one phone with weverse live app opened up. We may get a leeeeeetttooll bit more with the later, especially after a glass or two of maekju or whiskey 😁 but that’s pretty much a novelty in itself. They’re kpop idols at the beginning and end of it all.

The most I expected was the level of conversation we’ve always seen from their lives or how they talked about things when having conversations to gather in ‘In The Soop’ this is Jimin that only did his live and showed his place right before he was gonna enlist and get rid of everything in his place and maybe the place altogether! Lool

Focusing on less... *waves hand at recent chapters* things, you mentioned in an earlier ask how a duo of Ai and Kana would interact, and I think that raises the obvious question of: what about how Akane would interact with her? Would she unofficially adopt Ai (assuming similar ages obv) like she sorta did with Aqua, or would there be a more equal dynamic there?

It's funny you mention Kana because I've always imagined a peer-aged Akane & Ai dynamic to being kind of like... sort of a blend of how Akane behaves in relation to both Kana and Yuki and how Ai behaves in relation to Nino (and the other B-Komachi girls, presumably).

Akane has this, um, Interesting (🏳️‍🌈❓🤨) pattern of behaviour in relation to certain types of other girls where she sort of... fixates on them in a very particular way. Her rivalry with Kana is a lot more pointedly hostile so it's easy for it to get lost in the noise, but with both Kana and Yuki, Akane clearly sees something in them that she wants to both bask in and borrow for herself - some inner light that she doesn't seem to think of herself as being able to radiate as well. I think it's pretty clear that Akane both has low self esteem and also kind of like... a weak self image? If that makes sense. She doesn't have a super firm grasp on her own identity and what she does know, she doesn't really like - it's why she's so able and willing to be totally consumed by her roles the way she is and why she over-identifies with and projects onto them.

And we see her do that with Ai herself. even if only posthumously, to the extent that we see her continue to do it long after LoveNow. I kind of feel like there was a part of her that saw a lot of herself in Ai and that Ai was simultaneously somebody who was like her but someone who was better that Akane could absorb some part of. I definitely think she has some weird parasocial feelings about Ai which bleed into her sense of responsibility for Aqua and Ruby, but that's a post for another day lol.

ANYWAY... my point was that, taking all the above into account... can you IMAGINE how deeply Normal Akane would be about not just an alive Ai but one who is a peer and essentially a co-worker and rival to her? Ai is basically Kana on God Mode but instead of lashing out at Akane with externalized hostility, Ai holds her at a careful, suffocating distance, refusing to either reject her or to let her get too close?

Hey! Welcome back! And you are very welcome~! I hope it was helpful to you lol

Excellent question! To really properly answer this, I'd like to briefly break down Eobard's relationship with Barry, if you don't mind! Now, for characters like Eobard and Barry, trying to accurately and fully explain in depth their dynamic in just a paragraph or so is basically nigh impossible lmao. These two just have such a rich and multilayered relationship that I can really only give you the bare Cliff Notes lol. Also, I just want to apologize because uhhh. I get really kinda rambly here haha oops

Okay so, let me first preface this what exactly the core of Eobard's whole character is: Love.

Eobard just wants to be loved. That's it. That is the root of everything he does.

To explain, we gotta go all the way back to Eobard's childhood. From what we see in the comics, Eobard is a very abused and neglected child. His parents wanted a gifted and successful child so they handpicked all his skills and made him very good looking. Unfortunately, they didn't get the memo that they still had to actually show love to their child for him to be successful. Ignored and shunned by his parents, baby Eo was very depressed and extremely desperate for any kind affection/attention. That's when he discovered the Flash. And I think the fact that it was Barry specifically played a major factor in his obsession with him.

Of course the Flash is very important to Eobard but something deeper that really resonated with him was Barry's ultimate pureness and unconditional love and compassion.

Eobard looked at Barry and saw someone who would love him unconditionally and without hesitation. In every sense, Barry really is pretty much the only thing that got Eobard through the dark times in his young life. The older he got, the more and more his parasocial relationship with Barry and the Speed Force began to consume him.

Eobard is very capable of love. The problem is, he's never been taught how to actually express it in a healthy, normal way so he lashes out, violently and obsessively. Because that's the only way he knows how. I think he definitely, on some level, recognizes that he is unlovable that's what drives people to reject him. To deal with this, he just retreats back to his fantasy; "Barry would understand, Barry would love me."

Sooo, yeah, you can imagine when the fallout eventually happened, you can see why it would utterly break him, emotionally and mentally.

To answer your question of if he would be able to love someone on the level he loves Barry, I would say definitely no lol.

Barry is just so, SO deeply intertwined with Eobard at this point that you can't really tell where he begins or Barry ends. It also has a lot to do with his obsession being formed during the most vulnerable and formative years of Eobard's life. Even if you hard set restarted the universe, these two would always have a cosmic connection with each other that you just can't erase.

As for other people, he is shown to have definitely gone back into other peoples' past and altered them drastically to suit his needs, ex: Hunter and August. But it's really only just more or less the one time and for certain reasons like he either wanted to manipulate events to play out a certain way (Hunter) or because he also saw a little too much of himself in them and was extremely jealous of their relationship with Barry (August). But honestly, most of the time when Eobard interacts with others, it's always either because he joins a supervillain group or he just happens to run into them coincidentally (like with Hal, the Justice League, Wally, etc)

Except for Thomas Wayne. Specifically the Flashpoint version.

I know I already talked about him but his and Eobard's relationship is really kind of unique and bears going more in depth.

Long story short, their whole thing started in Flashpoint, when Thomas killed stabbed him through the back. Then, in the Button storyline, after Eobard is revived (by the power of gay) and broke out of prison, he decides to immediately go and rough Bruce up as a kind of "gotcha" to Thomas. In the middle of their fight, he comes across Thomas's letter to Bruce and then he just?? Starts waxing poetic about "Oh Thomas, Thomas, did writing this make you feel better? As you burned with your world?" etc and it's like b r u h

This is literally the only interaction you had!! You just beat him up, mocked him and then he killed you. Why are you acting like you suddenly have a deep history together asjdgfsKJLGK

And it doesn't stop there. In a one off comic Tales From The Dark Multiverse Flashpoint, Barry dies and so to cope with this, Eobard tries to turn Thomas into his very own "Eobard Thawne", a ruthless stalker who would obsess over him. Because in Eobard's mind, to be obsessed over is the same as being loved, it means attention. Which is, notably, pretty much exactly what he wants from Barry. In the end, Eobard even went so far as to give Thomas a gift, what he so desperately wanted: his son and his family back. Whether Eobard did this out of any kind of sense of generosity or a more selfish motive is up for debate but it definitely says a lot.

In a following comic that's a prequel to the Button storyline, we see Eobard actually saves Thomas from the death of the Flashpoint universe and pulls him into the main timeline.

This is really significant because who else do we see Eobard go through this much effort to torment them? That's right--Barry. Now, of course Thomas isn't close to being on Barry's level in Eobard's eyes, far from it. But it's really clear that Thomas has become such a fixated point of interest for Eobard. By pulling Thomas out, Thomas essentially becomes a paradoxical being, and I think Eobard is really fascinated by that. He really likes having someone else on the same playing field as him. It's like Eobard, Barry and the other speedsters are playing a game of invisible chess which pretty much everybody on Earth is oblivious to, except for Thomas. Thomas is the only non speedster who actually knows the scores.

Could you argue that Eobard is just doing all of this for revenge? Sure, I suppose you could. But knowing how Eobard works, it doesn't feel quite accurate to just leave it at that. There's just too many little hints and cues of Eobard's love languages at play to just ignore that. Also like, Eobard doesn't like talking about his (true) feelings hardly ever, instead he wraps them up and disguises them with pretenses. He will say one thing while doing a completely different thing, a lot of times you can't take Eobard's words at face value.

As it is, Thomas seems to have become pretty synonymous with Eobard to the point now, whenever you see Flashpoint Thomas, it's very safe to assume that a certain yellow rat isn't too far behind~

I definitely agree with you~! I also absolutely love seeing Eobard interacting with other characters outside his scope of obsession, but sadly, Eobard doesn't really? Have much in the way of dynamics with other characters, as he really doesn't do people and people also tend to kinda hate him? But! There are a few exceptions, off the top of my head:

Eobard and the Rogues from the Justice League animated comic

Eobard and Poison Ivy's interaction from the Injustice 2 game (bow chica bow wow)

He and Superman actually have a brief but really poignant moment in the Tales From The Dark Multiverse

He and Al Desmond also had a brief partnership in the Sliver Age comics which basically consisted of Eobard mind controlling and pressuring Al into a life of crime, but I did definitely get the vibe that Eobard liked him--tho again, he has a very horrible way of showing it LOL

Also in the Silver Age, he had a brief dynamic with Star Sapphire (not Carol tho unfortunately) He was very flirtatious with her (he was like that with a lot of other women too--which definitely comes back to him being desperate to be loved) Anyway, uh wow, I didn't mean for this to be this long?? LOL If you'd like more concise, shorter answers in the future, just lemme know~!

this is the longest post i have ever written. remember, this is how i personally see things. you don't have to agree with all of it or at all. still, long as fuck. you have been warned

i do not use reddit and i especially don't visit spaces that are a vent melting pot. not something i want to encourage by giving it clicks

however it is a topic i do have thoughts on, of various kinds, so walk with me on this one. i believe the position is in right now is 1 - one he hates, 2 - one he was forced to be in and 3 - one he's too afraid to get out of

you can understand my second point easily, i don't think there's any argument about it. if it was up to him, the current state of his content would not be like this, not talking quality, but in the general lack of it. he had to reorganise his life around october 2022 to the point he considered quitting. that's not an easy thing, logistically an otherwise, and for dream out of all people to have even think about it, it must have been a tremendous feat to get out of that spot mentally. then he could not make usmp happen. dealing with the hate. gumball. releasing the video. these aren't things that he could predict, and did shape the timeline of content release

i don't want to say i feel a bitterness about it from him, because he's not a bitter person. but when he talks about the things that weren't, i do feel that sad yearn, the-one-that-got-away-esque vibe in the conversation. which is completely understandable, because those are his projects he put time thought money and love in. and then he gets the carpet pulled, and now we're here. i feel people forget that a bit you feel sad about all the content, imagine him. we knew about usmp for tops 3 or 4 days, he had been working on it for months. empathise with him a bit and understand this is not a place he wants to be in either

my general "critique" of him regarding the situation is the third point. i say fear, i don't exactly know if that's what it is, and just as above, i understand why it would exist yes, obviously the face reveal and meeting fans and having the parasocialism hit you in the face changes a lot. i understand, say, walking back from his "Stans" video, i understand walking back on the nsfw, i get those things. but we're a bit past that point now, where denouncing that parasocialism is turning into what i see as becoming the cc he has said he doesn't want to be

and i say this as someone that has been around for a WHILE. he has in the past spoken negatively about the path he is taking. the cc that's removed from his audience, the famous guy that has all his accounts managed, the creator with the over scripted, over hyped, removed of all spontaneous dynamic content that ends up either underdelivering, or not delivering at all. ( note here, i don't think dream will ever underdeliver. not in his dna. simply describing that general persona )

he's not there yet, at all, but he's edging close enough where people are starting to feel uneasy about it. some quietly, some in an understanding tone, others demanding and demeaning. and i feel at every step of walking down this figurative path, my first and second points ring very loudly. he doesn't really want this, he never asked for any of this. he has been forced into this position. but now he's on this weird stasis chamber of sorts, not fully in it but also doing nothing to get out ? i see the absolute love he has for music. i see how much he loves minecraft, and his fans, and the weirdness of it all. but he's alienating himself from it and not particularly putting up any sort of fight. not even raising his voice. nothing at all

no snapchats no tweets no likes no replies no streaming no casual popping into a friend's stream. and i am happy for him ! let me make that super clear ! taking time for himself, chilling, doing things in private. i'm glad he has that space now, and he's enjoying a life he very much could not have for years

but the very overwhelming, and genuinely new type of quiet makes that uneasiness i mentioned before grow exponentially. this isn't a quiet we're used to, and i have been through many. i am personally fine with it, i am not the one to demand content, i can simply do something else. but it does worry me he's kind of just taking the punches, and is taking them so much to heart he has removed himself this much from the public, in a seemingly unnecessary fashion. and here's the real issue for me on that third point, and where that worry comes from, and maybe in part curiosity ?

he's sure of what he's doing. at least it appears that way. i don't see all the puzzle pieces, and i am concerned at the picture they paint. is he scared ? is he tired ? is he waiting it out even more ? should i be concerned ? is that maybe too parasocial, or am i just so put off by the change of scenery and the lack of explanation for some of these changes ( like i said, i understand some, but others seem out of left field ) , it that it makes me reasonably worried

still. i get it

i criticize some of it, because yeah, i am selfish, i want the content creator that i have been following for five years to be, at least in part, the one i subscribed to. i want some content, any content, at all

i also understand the road to here was not the one neither of us expected it to be, and it changed him more than it changed me

i am a passive onlooker of his life, and i have no right to make demands to what he gives me access to. i only can complain as much as it is appropriate, which is vocalising my feelings of missing him, because he has given me a piece, and now i don't quite get why it's gone. previously he would have told us why, now it's dead lining

but it's his life. it's his time. it's his piece. and it's his choice. he can do with it as he pleases. i can be unhappy. i can have issues with it, i can worry. i can demand explanations. i am not entitled an answer. the second people understand that last part, they will have a much better time dealing with the quiet

i miss him, i really do. i understand why he's gone. i don't approve of how far he's taking it. but that doesn't fucking matter, because whatever the reasoning is, if he is doing it this way, it's for a reason that's enough to him. and i'd say, we have to trust him with his own life

Sure, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Do good intentions even begin to scratch the surface of qualifying someone to handle it in a respectful and proper way regardless of personal experience? Nah. I appreciate the message because sometimes I second guess myself like omg is my stance on this too firm? So hearing that I'm making sense to someone is comforting.

If that sort of stuff has helped people, etc, and it never got weird, I'm glad it helped. I wouldn't want to diminish that experience.

At the same time, my exposure to this that radicalized me was when I stopped in on someone's stream to get some insight into a situation (untold years ago) and got some key info that I think set my opinion in stone.

People boasting that they were making content like that for vulnerable people, and that those people "need us", framing the dynamic in the most codependent, unhealthy way you could fathom.

People who had been making this content since they were MINORS, and into young adulthood, who were also at risk themselves at the time.

Financially incentivizing their help with donations and wishlists, leveraging their own struggles and lack to create what I feel is a radically unhealthy relationship between comfort/aid and risky spending.

So yeah. I don't take too kindly to idiots with microphones specifically targeting vulnerable individuals who need a hotline far more than a parasocial hyperfixation.

I don't speak on a whole lot on shit in the ASMR Roleplay slash hobbyist VA space, but that in particular is a rancid corner I stumbled across that I think invites some of the most at risk, vulnerable members of the community to put their wellness in the hands of people who I frankly wouldn't trust to put my fries in the goddamn bag let alone talk to me about the value of my life and why I should stick around.

If I seem harsh, it's because somebody damn well should be. Shit isn't a game.

Anywho......yep. The topic came up recently in private when I was dealing with an unrelated situation, and I remembered this exact thing and how much it bothered me.

I can respect anyone who would like to hear very specific comfort from one of my boys. I don't fault you for that. You know they'd want the best for you. I just don't think I can personally deliver it to you, and they wouldn't want me to, because I can't do nearly enough for you. You deserve better than care being pantomimed and imagined, and no matter how alone you feel, there are people who will fight for you, you gotta go grab them and tell them you need that. And if they fail, you try again, and again.

Me and my content can be a lot of things, and helping soothe aches is a big part of the job, but there are limits. I think there has to be for the safety and peace for everyone involved.

I can't risk putting myself in a spot where someone has to rely on me like that, and I wouldn't want to put them at risk either. Because I can fail. Maybe the words wouldn't be right. Or the tone didn't match their needs. Or it was just too little too late.

For everyone, that's a path we shouldn't go down. But we can still support one another. I think my characters and their stories are filled with messages and purpose for people who are in need, because I've been there. Quite literally, I'm familiar with the territory. So what I've created reflects that journey. It may not be specifically comfort for the thing. But the underlying meaning and purpose is one that speaks to some of those dark places.

Or not. Because it's art. You'll take what you want from it. But you'd probably find it there if you need to.

Don't know if this is for advice but I need to confess this to SOMEONE outside the 4 of us. For many reasons, no one outside the 4 people mentioned here know anything about this

I'm a happily married man with a wonderful wife of 10 years. She's my best friend, my lover, and every bit the partner I need.

We're both well aware of our poly natures and have even tried (unsuccessfully) to open up to a third. It wasn't the right person or fit but we at least tried. Outside of that we've both had some FwB and it's never had any negative impact on our relationship.

But now I actually fell in love.

I fell in love with a streamer and what started as parasocial became just plain social to becoming very intimate and real. The kicker, this streamer girl is also happily married to her own man (4 years now) and they are also open to poly.

After a few weeks of this buildup, we had our first "date" over Discord video and all partners involved were nothing but supportive. It's long distance but the opportunity to visit each other is very real. The opportunity for sex is very real and very much discussed. The possibility of group sex in many configurations is on the table.

And through all this, we've firmly established our commitments and love to our spouses first and foremost, while still talking every day and very much falling in love with each other more and more.

I know all the important parts of navigating a poly relationship, and with how open all communication has been across all parties involved, I'd say we're doing okay.

I'm just feeling a little overwhelmed with how much I feel the euphoria of new love. Falling in love wasn't something I ever expected to happen to me again. I honesty didn't think I was capable of it. This wasn't me choosing someone, I had not say in the matter. My heart just said "this one" and took the rest of me along for the ride.

I don't know if what I need is advice but this is such an "out there" situation for me. Outside of the 4 of us, there's no one to talk to about what's going on. Partially because none of our close friends/family are poly and wouldn't really understand the dynamics, especially when they've gone through problems of cheating. And we also can't let it get out that a streamer fell in love with a viewer, for reasons I hope are obvious.

So this is my anonymous confession. Any whatever words you have for me, I'll take them.

This is so exciting! I'm so happy you're getting this opportunity with so much support from your respective partners behind you! It absolutely makes sense to be overwhelmed and probably pretty nervous about meeting in person for the first time, but just enjoy the moment as much as you can. Falling in love, especially for the second time, is intimidating, and comes with complicated feelings, but it's also so much fun. I hope things go well for you all and that you'll keep me updated on how things go! We all struggle a bit with lack of community to share these things with I think, so I adore being the void to shout into. <3

@cloud-based-and-rainpilled I had a similar thought about the insecurity. I think Georgia and AL trying so hard to give the appearance of everything being "fine" and everyone getting along only makes it feel more like things in reality are not exactly what's being presented on social media. I personally did not see "boyfriend" as a downgrade (because from my perspective, "other wife" reads as more jokey/unserious, but boyfriend is...softer, somehow), but I can see why some folks could interpret it as a downgrade when it's actually a readjusting of whatever the dynamic is between all of them.

Going back to the insecurity, I had also wondered how things would play out while Michael was in London for such a long time during the run of Nye, and it makes all the sense in the world that things would change with Michael and David being able to see each other in person frequently. And you make a salient point about the gay swinging being seen as less threatening (which I think is why it's been easy for Georgia and AL to start up with that, and why we have never seen even one reference to David/Anna or Michael/Georgia and swinging). It could be that shipping Michael and David was also seen as less threatening and easier to play along with a few years ago, when it was all still new and Michael and David hadn't gotten as close as they have now. So yes, I do think something has changed, and though we may never be privy to what specifically, we can still see its aftereffects and reverberations in a variety of ways.

(I also wish the antis/people making vitriolic posts in the tags would understand your final point, which is that some of us have seen these things before and are speaking from a place of experience--unlike their assertions (and I have actually seen someone say this) that we have never had any close friendships or relationships like these, and therefore know nothing.)

To your comment, @lepqueen, I also found myself raising an eyebrow at the song choice. You are correct that Sting has described the song as being creepy, and I found one quote from him in particular attesting to this:

They just meant it in general so this is a short concept of my thoughts on them.

Bobbies are the police force of Wellington Wells.

They take a special version of Joy that makes them still able to do their job.

They're seen patrolling Hamlyn Village and the Parade District.

They're extremely strict with their job due to being the police force.

There's specific ones with names but this concept will tackle general behavior.

We can assume this concept means one specific unnamed Bobby grows a bit attached to a Wellie like you.

Maybe you're a Downer and are hiding it.

Or maybe you take your Joy like a good Wellie!

Either way, this Bobby seems to patrol very close to you.

It's hard to tell though since most Bobbies look the same.

That's if he's blue. If he had the red suit then he'd have a harder time blending in.

Yet that doesn't mean he doesn't try.

For the sake of this concept I will imply you are a Downer.

The Bobby often checks in on you, reassuring you he doesn't think you're doing anything wrong.

Maybe he knows you're a Downer and keeps quiet.

He's watching you closely and making sure you don't break any rules.

Plus he uses the fact you're off your Joy to excuse watching you so closely.

You constantly feel you're being monitored, which in reality you are.

Just by one Bobby… one who's rather interested in you.

If you think about this concept there's a lot of potential.

All of it revolves around an unhealthy power dynamic, however.

Maybe the Bobby pretends to arrest you just to be close to you.

Maybe he simply watches your home like a hawk.

Perhaps the Bobby uses the fact you're a Downer as blackmail.

That way you have to listen to him.

Don't want to get in trouble, do you?

In that case… better do what he wants, yeah?

A Bobby would either use this unhealthy power dynamic to take advantage of your vulnerability or to protect that vulnerability.

He's either a guardian or just corrupt.

A Bobby can't publicly display his affection for you.

He'd have to stay professional!

However, if he finds you wandering somewhere private, he may stop by.

Don't worry, doll, he's just checking in on you!

The unfortunate part is you can't really report on the Bobby's behavior.

He's part of the police and if you say you're uncomfortable everyone knows you're a Downer.

So isn't it best just to try and befriend him?

He'll excuse your behavior because you're so lovely!

You won't have to take your Joy if you just give him a little attention, okay?

He'll be nice with you… he'll keep you safe.

MAYA HENRY INTERVIEW WITH ‘THE INTERNET IS DEAD’ (My notes taken while watching, not a full transcription)

Maya had a sheltered upbringing - travelled a lot, so homeschooled

London was a massive shock

Was not a fan of 1D - went to the meet and greet reluctantly because her friend had tickets. Then became a fan because the guys were so great.

Did not have a conversation with Liam at the meet and greet.

Was not a stan of the boys as solo artists

Was at a D&G fashion show and Liam was a performer - that’s how they met again.

He was nice and normal at home and she’d forget he was famous.

Got together in August 2019.

Got engaged in November 2019.

He got abusive before lockdown.

When sober he’d be kind and nice but over time he used being drunk as an excuse TO abuse her and not take accountability. Doesn’t care and isn’t remorseful. He talked about getting help to stop being abusive but he never did it.

He is so famous that he can do things and they don’t get out.

His power dynamic is his celebrity status and his team are invested in that.

She doesn’t think the age gap was an issue.

Did not know how manipulative people with addiction issues can be.

Also Liam is media trained.

[Keeps saying he’s in his 30s, 30-something.]

They all had a squeaky-clean image in the band.

(Presenters say the fandom was very against the management of 1D and would say ’the management is trying to push this narrative’ “Which is crazy, like what?”)

“I always see this online and I see it to this day even with them as like solo…”

Liam has control over his management, not the other way round.

Dismisses the idea that her dad paid Liam to be seen with her or that their relationship was fake or that his management was trying to sabotage him. He can fire his management if he wants.

Has not talked to her dad since she was 18.

Management controls what the artist wants controlled, such as stuff coming out about them.

(Presenters dismiss Larry, etc. Call it teenage. Crazy. Say that they did it as teens and bought into the conspiracies. Crazy. Insane to look back on. Crazy that it’s still a thing. Crazy that it’s still a point of discourse. [NB: they are all 23])

Ridicules ideas about Modest Management’s handlers controlling their lives and Liam’s manager being in the background controlling everything. “No, he just worked for him and he’s with us. There’s not much more to explain about that.”

(Presenters say people used to have outlandish ideas about management because they just didn’t understand it especially with One Direction coming up so fast. People were so young and didn’t really have a grasp on how the music industry really works or how celebrity really worked. Ties back to the idea of parasocial relationships. )

Hadn’t heard of parasocial relationships until a few weeks ago.

(Presenters say she has nothing to gain from making these claims.)

Making false accusations is detrimental and illegal.

People with less money can’t speak up on these issues.

‘They’ can prey on women like that.

(Presenters ask about her saying Liam can prey on 1D fans. Why do fans go to such lengths to defend him?)

Has seen messages to fans on his phone - it’s not a fake account.

Liam would message her, post breakup, talking about not doing well and death.

He called her mum to say he wouldn’t be around much longer when she announced her book.

She said she would help him get to rehab. He is somebody’s child after all.

Recent events. Can’t speak legally. It’s gotten worse.

His behaviour is a manipulation tactic to keep her on his good side.

(Presenters agree 100%.)

You only see 1% of someone’s life on SM - you don’t know what’s going on.

“I just want to help.”

“I have to help him because if something does happen to him I won’t be able to live with myself.”

[At 27.35-ish. “Even one of his friends was calling me and my mom saying it’s not a good time for him, I don’t think you should put the book out.”

Says his friend did this on purpose - ie: not out of real concern.

(Presenters say [Liam's] silence means he’s guilty. )

If if she was him, she would address the kind of claims she has made.

(Presenters say he’s cancelled his album in order to make THAT the headline rather than her allegations.)

Whenever he’s in a scandal he plays a sob story to manipulate his fans, it’s sick – just take accountability.

(Presenters say he went to Louis’ show in order to change the headlines on the day her book was published.)

Agrees. The friend said Li wasn’t well and then there he is, flying 11 hours to Argentina to go to a concert. Liam is not supporting Louis here, he’s trying to get himself out of shit.

People didn’t want her to mention Liam in interviews or podcasts for legal reasons. Thinks his team have managed to suppress what interviews she did manage to do. HAS been trying to say it was him but couldn’t do it until the TikTok.

Understands that media are afraid of getting sued but is willing for her lawyers to send over proofs for the allegations she’s making. But media are too scared.

(Presenters say society tries to protect men, esp men who are loved)

(Presenters mention the Zayn wall incident)

Didn’t realise the reaction would be so huge.

(Presenters ask about the book.)

Some of the things that fictionalise the book are name changes, cities, skewed timelines, Oliver saying he’s not ready for a kid.

If you write non-fiction, you can’t leave anything out [??] and obviously there are things that are worse that she did leave out.

So it IS fiction, inspired by true events.

It’s not about 20 other people in one book.

She liked the After movie, so when the sequel came out, she and Liam went to see it after lockdown. Did not know it was based on a fanfic. She was writing children’s books and taking a degree in creative writing, so Liam suggested she write a book about them. “I thought that was crazy, I never thought of that.”

Started writing but separately was journalling what she was going through, during Covid, so decided to use her experiences to finish this story to help other women, like a real-life version of a fanfic, as those always have happy endings.

When they were together she never knew how to finish it. When they split up, decided to work on it as a project.

Took a long time because she self-published but it’s useful because when it was happening to her she felt alone but it happens to a lot of women and she wants a girl to read it and know what’s happening to her is not her fault. Not to find comfort in it, but feel less alone.

(Presenters ask if it helped her process everything).

Yes, definitely. Went to therapy but isn’t much of a therapy-type person. Felt weird talking to someone about it. But almost rewriting what was going on and putting so much emotion into it, in first person, brought back up a lot of emotions she was suppressing. So it was therapeutic. People need to share their stories to help others.

(Presenters say they assume all the events in the book are true. Maya nods.)

Specifically addresses the axe incident - why would she make that up, her mind isn’t twisted enough, why would she say that if it wasn’t true?

Would sue if someone wrote something like that about her.

(Presenters say people used to literally write fanfictions like the book Maya wrote and it has desensitised young girls to abuse. )

People say “It’s so unbelievable she must be making this up.”

“People are like ‘is this true’ and I’m like ‘yeah’.”

“Looking back now I’m like ‘oh my gosh’.”

“I never cared or worried about myself.” Only cared and worried about Liam. “Let me pick up his mess. Let me clean up his mess. Let me worry about him and do everything for him.”

Never had time to sit back and think. Later, she was exhausted and phoned her mum, her kindness had been taken advantage of.

(Presenters tell her she should be proud of herself.)

When the relationship is so toxic and they don’t leave you alone, you can’t move on from it. When he went to rehab for three months, she had no contact with him and was able to process things on her own. She was grateful for that.

(Presenters come back to After the fanfic and say the film version plays down the abuse)

She looked at the fic on Wattpad after seeing the movie.

Harry was the bad guy and Liam was the nice guy. (Makes a switching gesture with her hands). It’s like they switched characters.

(Presenters chat about the fandom and how they think their idols will never see what they write. People were mean to the girlfriends, Eleanor, etc.)

When you’re so famous so young, you think you can get anyone you want and do whatever you want and it gets worse and worse and you end up like Liam saying ‘our fans are going to believe us…’. His head got so big and he feels so inferior [invincible?] that he can do whatever he wants. And that’s what’s so dangerous.

(Presenters - he went on the Logan Paul podcast…)

Mentions the ‘that tweet didn’t age very well’ [about Gigi getting a respectful man in Zayn] ‘when you do what you do’. [IE: Liam is a hypocrite].

(Presenters ask if the stuff about Zayn and Gigi is hard for her to see)

Didn’t really see that on her TikTok before and her Twitter is a fake account that she just uses to look at things, same with IG. Only began seeing Liam when people posted about Niall’s concert.

(They all spend some time ridiculing Liam’s dancing etc.)

“I have a good sense of humour about things.”

(Presenters ask about fiction and true story and whether Liam can sue)

That’s why she said ‘inspired by true events’. The story itself is almost like a fanfic. Didn’t want the book to be a boring memoir.

(Presenters ask if she can get in trouble)

Comes from a heavy legal background. Is cautious. Had lawyers in the US and UK read the book and showed them proof when they had questions. You can’t sue for libel or defamatory [word unintelligible] because it’s all true. In the UK they have privacy laws “because there’s no freedom of speech” and the lawyers said that the way Oliver is portrayed, for instance in the abortion chapter, Liam could [sue] because [it breaches] his right to privacy.

“But I’m willing to take that risk.”

“I’m not going to let you stop me using my voice.”

“You don’t care to lead a private life.”

“If you’re gonna Snapchat strangers then…”

(Presenters talk about other girls claiming Liam messaged them.)

A lot of girls have messaged her privately about terrible nasty things - not towards her [words unintelligible] but saying they were fans and then THIS happened and the whole power dynamic is fucked up. When you know someone’s your fan and you’re gonna prey on them.

Dismisses the idea that a fan being of age is relevant - still predatory behaviour.

(Presenters say it’s literally grooming.)

(Presenters speculate on how much of this is innate to a person’s character and how much is to do with fame.)

If Liam’s willing to do some of the things he’s doing, whether he’s famous or not … maybe a person has that kind of mentality.

(Presenters raise the abortion chapter again.)

Wanted to do it surgically in hospital because it’s scary. “‘No, do it at home, I don’t want people to find out’...Then I do it at home and then he leaves.”

Added that in the book because women have told her online that they’ve had the same experience. So many men act like that. They like to downplay everything. They don’t understand being a woman. If they went through it they’d be a mess.

(Bit of chat about how crap men are.)

Men have never had their rights limited since the beginning of time.

Is applying to law school - lot of the family are lawyers, always wanted to do it. Been through such horrible situations with her ex - other women don’t have help and financial means to leave. Wants to help women for free, start a foundation to help women legally.

I've been having some thoughts lately and decided to put it in a long post during my lunch break.

Cc's are not and never will be your friend. It's normal to engage and feel parasocial to a degree with cc's but it's important ccs and yourself create the boundary of "we don't know each other and thus are not friends/etc." This is important of the cc, because a responsible cc is aware of their impact, aware of the power dynamic, and sets healthy boundaries for themself. It's important for you in order to stay safe and engage with a fandom and cc with respect and to maintain a healthy mindset.

It is also normal for fandoms to defend their cc TO A DEGREE, especially when comments against the cc affect other people (this is a simple way to say it, theres a lot of nuance to this pt). But, you should never feel the need or actually try to parent or speak for a cc. For example, people being queerphobic to Ranboo is fair to speak up against particularly because the queerphobia affects other members of the fandom. However, feeling like you must speak on behalf of ranboo, be their parent, or protect them at all costs from "evil ccs and fans" is not only against their express wishes but just isn't a healthy or normal way to engage with a cc.

Because if you don't engage healthily besides breaking any cc boundaries, and hurting yourself and mental health, you really can hurt other people. If you're engaging in fandom and cc fandoms especially to a point in which you create yourself an echo chamber of toxicity that seeks to harm anyone in your path that is unhealthy behavior and you need srs help and I mean that genuinely like you need to talk to a trained professional or support group.

Like it's not normal to hate all ccs and people who are not explicitly positive about your cc at all times now and forever. It's not normal to make excuses for widely acceptable bad actions to the point you harm those affected by said bad actions. It's not normal to view holding a cc accountable as "just being an anti/hater/jealous" as you should always leave room to be critical of the content you consume especially if it's from a real person with real actions. It's not normal to dislike those that dislike ur cc so much (cc or fans) to the point you dedicate your social media presence to sending death threats, doxxing, harassment, gory images, etc as well as spending the majority of your blog screenshotting and vagueing and cyberbullying people. It's not normal to feel as though your cc is an infallible perfect idol figure that is in desperate need of an army protecting them at all times where you hang on their every word to dictate all actions, opinions, and morals to the point you will change your entire personality and ethics system just to maintain any ounce of being uncritical of someone. In simpler words, you might want to be aware the line of parasocialism and crossing over into being like a member of a cult (not to say it actually is a cult, this is an analogy)

And you might say to this post "this is a vague" but I'd rather argue that if you feel like this post applies to you regardless if you're mcyt or another cc/celebrity/real person based fandom you might want to realize that you need to do srs self reflection and understand how you got here, who you've hurt to stay there, and what things you've sacrificed for someone you don't even know. This isn't just an mcyt specific fandom problem.

Because why I'm making this post is I feel like something needs to be questioned when we throw away our kindness, empathy, ethics, and compassion towards people just because they are any ounce a tiny bit little bit critical of something a cc did. And it would be easy to say the people willing to suibait/send threats/harassment/slurs/etc toward someone over a cc and be happy about it and own it are people who "just don't care and won't change". But I'd like to think they got there somehow you know that they weren't always the kind of person to justify that. And that doesn't mean they deserve anyone's forgiveness, but it does mean I have concern for that person I hope they genuinely get help and feel the full weight of what they've done all for 1 person that doesn't know them.
