I know I don’t owe any of you anything but I still felt compelled to write about my long term absence. And I feel far enough away from the dangerous spot I was in to be able to make this comic. I have a therapist now, and she agreed that making this could be a very cathartic gesture, and the start of properly leaving these thoughts behind me. I am still, at seemingly random times, blindsided by fleeting desires to kill myself. They’re always passing urges, but it’s disarming, and uncomfortable. I worry sometimes that my brain’s spent so long thinking only about suicide that it’s forgotten how to think about anything else. Like, now that I've opened that door for myself, I'll never be able to fully shut it again. But I’m trying my best to encourage my mind in other directions. We'll see how that goes.

I am still donating all proceeds from my store to Palestinian causes. So far, I've donated over $15K, not including donations coming from my own pocket or the fundraising streams which jointly raised around $10K. In the time since I made my initial post about where this money would be going, the focus has shifted from aid organisations to directly donating to escape funds.

If you'd like to do the same, you can look at Operation Olive Branch, which hosts hundreds of Palestinian escape funds or donate to Safebow, which has helped facilitate the safe crossing and securing of important medical procedures for over 150 at-risk palestinians since the beginning of the genocide.

some of you people are so obsessed with having an acceptable group to ‘punch up’ at that you would rather pretend a marginalized group are Basically The Oppressors™ than listen to their valid criticisms about the fact that ‘punching up’ very rarely hits the intended target, and the majority of the actual damage of that act is suffered by fellow marginalized people in your own community. there is a significant difference between venting frustrations about privileged groups and just outright attacking anyone who (you assume) experiences that axis of privilege regardless of - and in many cases outright denying - their actual lived experiences. it goes far beyond just ‘venting frustrations’ when what you’re really doing is trying to find a moral justification to bully people you don’t like, and when your own desire for catharsis and moral superiority leads to ignoring the voices of the vulnerable people you hurt. you’re not ‘punching up’ - you just like punching people for the sake of punching.

Dc x DP: Vague Threats

Danny Fenton gets a full ride to Gotham University, thanks to the Wayne Foundation. He won the scholarship after submitting his research on purple-back gorillas, seeing as the zoo incident had led to him wanting to study zoology after being a astronaut was out.

He was surprised that Gotham University had one of the best programs in zoology in the whole country, but that may be due to Bruce Wayne funding the whole department because his youngest loves animals.

In any case, he is expected to participate in specific requirements to keep his scholarship. Things like community service hours, GPA averages, and attendance to Wayne Galas.

Now community service isn't hard. He volunteers at an animal shelter. His GPA isnt hard, he has a 4.0 because when he cares, he is brilliant. No what's hard is the Galas.

He has to attend a total of 2. The scholarship fundraiser is unarguable, and another Gala of his choice. Danny has avoided the second one as best he can, and he knows it's to get rich people to donate so he can keep studying but the Galas are suffocating.

Mainly Danny stands in a corner invisible after the first 30 minutes, allowing himself to become visible when people start questioning where he is. He has to, otherwise he is acussed of not being there.

Danny is doing that when Bruce Wayne and his butler stop right before him and talk about the batcave.

Danny blinks, his eyebrow-raising higher and higher as they mutter details of a case. Then Bruce tells his butler to cover for him so he can go out. Danny follows and watches the man disappear down a clock, further investigation leads him to the Batcave.

So Bruce Wayne....is Batman. Huh. Welp that has nothing to do with Danny.

He returns to the party, appearing only four times, and heads home. The following morning he finds out Batman, along with Nightwing and Red Robin, had put a stop to a gang fight.

He thinks of how tired Bruce must be, and so as he's cleaning the dog cages gets an idea. He finishes his work for the day, goes to his house, and opens his miniature portal into the ghost zone to buy some teas and soap Baths.

The ghost zone products have an amazing effect on humans to help heal them faster thanks to the pure ectoplasm. He puts together a gift basket for everyone in the Wayne family- including the butler- and sends them to Wayne Manor through a ghost vulture.

He just wanted to thank them for all their hard work to keep him and the city safe. Mody Dick, knows he would have appreciated it when he was still acting as Phantom back in Amity Park.

He includes thank you letters each, including specific examples of how they have help the city both in and out of costume.

Danny then goes to his next lecture class with a pat on his shoulder. He feels so good about it, he decides to send them every other week.

Across the city, the Wayne are panicking that someone just sent them all a basket with a very vague threat of exposing their identities. They scramble to find the person who found out, but with no leads or evidence, they can only pray that whoever found them out wouldn't hurt their loved ones.

The personal threats only made them more uneasy. Are they being followed? How close have they gotten to have such details?

Tim Drake is determined to find the person responsible.

Engaging in verbal passive-aggressive conversations with each other is actually very entertaining passtime. This is why their post-Robobot\pre-Star Allies interactions are so fun to me: this is a very shaky ground, riddled with mutual loathing. Susie, who really isn't doing very well after Max dying (technically her fault) and getting the CEO's status to pressure her. Also not actually processing her trauma in AD, but repressing it along with most of her emotions. And MK with his wounded pride, who is frustrated with himself first and foremost. And genuinely not trusting the new CEO of intergalactic corporation, which is kinda valid

I guess I just love the trope of "this evil\annoying person you preserve them as, turns out to be not so evil/annoying"

Seeing so many reviews and posts like “the zombies in zom 100 are unrealistic” “the zombies don’t feel like a threat” “the zombies are only dangerous when the plot needs them to be” and like. My brothers in Christ that’s the point.

the real villain of this story isn’t the zombie virus it’s the will-breaking, spirit-killing, dream-destroying endless grind of late stage capitalism and a deeply unhealthy and isolating relationship to one’s labor. The zombies are just there to be a metaphor.

My favorite this about targ stans is that they cherry pick GRRM’s words so that they seem right. Specifically the quote that ice and fire are the others and dragons.

And on the surface that could serve as a feasible argument, corroborated by the author, that Daenerys is the “most important character tm”. Because of the others are obviously the mythical antagonists then dragons must be the mythical protagonists. The fire will destroy the ice and so dragons are good and therefore Daenerys, the mother of dragons, is good. And that’s a serviceable argument until you look further into GRRM’s quotes.

Quotes about how the dragons are weapons of mass destruction (from a well known anti-war writer). Quotes about how if you think Jon and Dany are the point of the story, you’re missing 80% of the story (implying each are only roughly 10% of the story). They start to diminish this claim of Dany being the ultimate savior against the others.

And if you want my opinion, I think that the quote of dragons being fire and the others being ice is misinterpreted. Because GRRM never says that it’s the fight between ice and fire or the triumph of fire over ice. He provide ZERO context actually about what those mean for the broader world and story. And I think that based on comments about the threat dragons pose as weapons of mass destruction, the dragons are yet another threat to Westeros. Just like the others. The song of ice and fire is the song of the triumph of Westeros against the two threats to come and icy undead army and giant fire breathing serpents.

After all, once the long night ends and the icy threat of winter is defeated, we will all dream of spring. And dragons plant no trees.

I’m so tired with people continuing to tag me in posts with tags in the posts implying I’m attempting to gatekeep dpxdc.

I’m just asking folks to read some wikis or maybe watch a DC tv show to get more ideas because the content in DC is so expansive. I’ve been trying to push this since July of 2022.

I’m writing it like this so people just understand. I just want to show folks the cool thing I enjoy and That theres so much more content to play with when you either do (or don’t idk at this point bro) choose to look more into the greater fandoms of the Crossover.

You can write whatever you want, I would just think it would be cool to see the looking into cool DC stuff by the community.

I’m not gatekeeping or trying to prevent people from writing fanfic. I read all forms of dpxdc fics at every level of fanon to canon to AUs to Ghost AUs.

I’m just trying to push a cool thing I like to show other people the cool thing I like?

Having a normal one thinking about tristamp Knives considering himself a "proper" independent in comparison to Vash, but all of the traits he is shown valuing as a plant are the things that humans would value in a production plant, not a plant that exists separately from humanity. The early development of his powers, the fact that he doesn't need fuel (food or water) for replenishing his energy? Ideal for something that a human values for production! Plus he can't communicate with the higher dimension in the same way Vash does, he can only draw energy to produce things—and we know from the fight in the finale Vash is pretty evenly matched even while holding back (and by extension, we know that Vash is more baseline powerful than Knives in Trimax). But by all measures, Vash is less "useful" as a plant to No Man Land's current production capabilities compared to Knives (who could pretty much be a one-man factory).

Anyways I'm not going anywhere specific with this. I'm tired and running on fumes, just rotating things in my brain.

I agree with your whole take on Lucifer being a complicated, multi-faceted, ego-driven character that would be the top in a relationship with Alastor.

One aspect I love about their dueling egos is that Alastor is used to being the one charming others, or antagonizing. Lucifer in top form is perfectly capable of both and in antagonism I think they match up well (That whole Looney-Tunes Dad Beat Dad show for example).

But Lucifer has millennia of experience charming people, original tempter for lord's sake, and I believe Alastor would balk at sincerity. Especially, since he's used to smarmy manipulations and fake charisma.

Lucifer is many things, but fake is not one of them. Like Alastor he is very sure of who he is, he doesn't have to project a fake persona, he just code-switches like everyone else based on who he's interacting with. IF he felt inclined to compliment Alastor, it would be sincere.

And that would put Alastor on the back foot, in a good way.

All this to say, Lucifer could play Alastor like a fiddle and do so without making him feel like he's being personally attacked, after enough time at least. Alastor would have a helluva time trying to do the same because he loves needling others and would be terrified to let his guard down enough for that kind of openness.

I love all the analysis this fandom has on Hazbin's characters.

Sometimes, it's so easy to forget just how ancient Lucifer is. That guy witnessed the birth of the Earth. He was there when humanity was first created. He has been alive for a loooooong time, and it's fun to consider the experiences he's had in comparison to the other characters in the show.

And yeah, I agree about Lucifer being a charmer, cuz, like you said, he was the original tempter. And I also agree that he's not very fake. Or, at least, he's not very good at trying to be fake. It was very, very obvious how he felt about the hotel when he was first looking at it XD

Alastor would 100% balk at sincerity and I think once Lucifer realizes that, he'd be one-upping Alastor on a daily basis. Arguing and getting defensive is exactly the outcome Alastor is expecting (the outcome he wants). He's not used to someone responding to his jabs/needling with sincerity. What's he supposed to do with that? He's not going to be genuine back, that's wacky nonsense.

LOL it'd leave him fumbling so bad.

And, just to make it extra fun, I don't think Lucifer expects Alastor to be sincere in return, so when Alastor realizes he can level the playing field by using Lucifer's own trick against him, you bet your bonnet he's going to do it. Anything to have the last laugh, however hard it is for him to pry an honest answer from his teeth.

This is to say, Alastor opening up and building an honest and sincere relationship with someone out of pettiness and spite is the most Alastor way to form a connection, and I'm so here for it.
