Fiance Suguru, finally slips the most breath taking, glimmering ring on your pretty little finger with a slight adorable tremble in his hand while on his left knee. Nervously glances up at you with adoring eyes and basks in the beautiful thick globs of water gathering at the ends of your lashes, the subtle heat in your cheeks wooing his thumping heart.

"Sugu..." you could hardly mutter in between shorten breaths and small hiccups, fluttering your lashes between him and the gorgeous piece of jewelry hugging around your delicate ring finger.

"I know it may seem a bit cliche but...I'd figure it'd be the perfect time to finally propose to my favorite girl" he smiles ever so endearingly up at you, leaning forward and lifting your tender hand up to his lips to kiss the glistening stone that brought out your complexion.

It takes every living fiber in you not to ball out in ugly sobs and attack him with a full forced embrace, knocking the both of you onto the carpeted rug in the living room, by the cackling fireplace.

But you couldn't mount enough strength to not do so.

With your pumping adrenaline and overwhelming heartfelt feelings coursing through you like a clashing tidal wave, you couldn't help but do just that. Tossing yourself onto the chuckling obsidian, long haired man onto the fuzzy carpet. Consistently landing insistent kisses all over his flawless face, your palms firmly cupping his cheeks to keep him from straying from your kiss advances.

Suguru simply cackles under low hums with every plush, warm kiss he receives, holding you ever so closely into his now sprawled out figure amongst the soften rug beneath him. Two large hands drape around your stature and coil you in for a tight, loving embrace, encouraging and openly welcoming your fervent sincere kisses.

"Did you do it dad?!" you could hear both of the girls chant out from the middle of the stairway just a few feet away from the dim lit living room, tiny hands gripping fiercely onto the wooden railings as their heads pop over them with elevated eagerness and excitement. Nearly jumping up and down amongst the steps they were perched on.

You stop your impending smother of riveting kisses hastily and lean forward with a smiling Suguru in your arms, who was now completely covered in your lipstick, flaunting out your shimmering finger with your ring nestled around it to the giggling girls.

The three of you join in unison of elated screeches, watching the girls race down the rest of the steps and power drive into the two of you with pitched giggles and prompt hugs.

"AHH IT'S SO PRETTY MOM!!" Mimiko cheers while clinging onto your side, lifting your hand to get a closer look at the ring.

“i know you’re like upset over the coffee but i literally offered to get you another one and you said no.” hamzah teased as he looks up from his phone to the girl in front of him. you were looking down at your phone, your lower lip being bit as you try to stop herself from smiling.

you shut your phone off after looking at the story you posted one last time. you grin at him, taking a piece from the croissant he got you.

“it’s fine hamzah i swear,” your words muffled by the croissant.

this is usually how they spent their days in la. either one of them would oversleep and the other would go out to buy them coffee and breakfast but today, both of them surprisingly woke up late, about to leave to do the routine but caught each other.

the past days, it was you who overslept but hamzah didn’t mind, not wanting to disturb your sleep and at times he’d just admire your sleeping figure as you tossed and turned on the bed while he got ready to leave. though, every time he got out to get you coffee, the barista would always make a mistake with your order which you never told him until today.

the past few days also made you realize that your crush on hamzah was growing deeper and deeper. you didn’t know whether or not what you’ve been hearing about him liking you were true so you didn’t bother mentioning what you were feeling towards him but he was starting to notice that at times, you tend to be awkward and hesitant especially when he gets too close or your bodies touch the slightest bit.

he takes also piece from your croissant, larger than the one you took earlier which made your eyebrows knit and jaw slack open.

“hamzah, what the hell!” you said louder than usual, the other customers glancing to where the pair of you were sat.

a smile was on his face as he chewed. when he finished, he took a huge sip from the drink you haven’t touched since you took one sip from it, earning a confused look from you. he looked up at you with an innocent look, head tilted slightly. “what? said you didn’t like this right?”

you roll your eyes playfully, crossing your arms. “yeah, but i’d you know—still drink it!” you stuttered, shrugging a bit.

“sure y/n…” hamzah said before he took a sip from your drink again. “we’ve been here for almost 20 minutes, the ice is almost completely melted, would you actually still drink this?”

as you were about to answer, he continued speaking again. “and the fact they got your order completely wrong too, don’t lie to me now.” he smirked at you teasingly.

you narrowed your eyes at him as if you were testing him, trying to see if you’d win but seconds later, you let out a groan. “ugh fine, okay. yes i won’t drink it.” you roll your eyes, trying to hide the smile on your face.

“now, can you please let me get you another drink?” he asked with a smile.

“okay, but get me a matcha latte instead of the coffee.”

“yes ma’am!” he tells you, smile not leaving his face as he saluted to you like a little kid before going to the counter to order.

the interaction leaving butterflies fluttering in your stomach and a red tint on your cheeks.

I’m not on artfight- I’m still kinda trying to understand what it is- it’s like a massive event where artists throw art of their OCs at each other as a gesture of appreciation but also to gain “points” for their team, yeah? I’ve seen so many wonderful characters and I wanna show my love for them!

But I’m afraid I…. Don’t have time to fully jump in on it and enjoy it right now.

I also didn’t get that promotion at my job due to budget cuts. So I am still teetering below where I want to be financially. Plus I still have to work in that office full-time, so that really takes the wind out of my sails. The evenings are so short after 5pm, it’s really dragging me down, man

But maybe next year! Now that I’m kinda understanding what it’s about it seems like a really fun way to interact with the community here 💖 I’ll have to revamp some more of my characters that I keep in my back pocket hehehe.

There was just something ... easy, about his presence, even though he gave off that aura of wild abandon and play. Chaotic. But kind. Although she had only had just met him, Matty was comfortable in the way the first sip of sangria was. Warming.

And then came the expected punishment.

Gabi could handle that— she understood law and order, and the consequences were well worth getting to touch his forehead like that. When she surfaces, everything was amplified. The water rolling down her back. The warmth of his skin against hers. She tilts her head to the side, feels a trickle down her neck, feels a shiver pick up when his fingers ghost across her rib-cage.

Jesus christ.

'You can't get away with stuff like this just because you're cute.'

And that pulls a burble of laughter from her, a wide smile. Was it a little smug? At hearing Matty call her cute?

Perhaps. But it was warranted, given who the compliment came from.

"You think I'm cute?" With another kick against the floor of the pool, Gabi launches backwards, feels Matty's fingers skim across her torso in the most blissful drag. "You shouldn't give away your hand like that..."

She felt hot now. Even surrounded with all this water. Gabi allows herself to sink for a moment, water rising up past her ribs, breasts, collarbone, just up to her ears, hair surrounding her like a lily pad.

She smiles at Matty. Floats back a bit closer, eyes him for a moment.

"Like I would never reveal to you that I think you have a really cute smile. Orrrr that you've got perfect hair."

She sweeps her arm to give another splash, but it's milder than before, and when she retracts her arm back against her side she lets her hand skim atop his for a moment.

Oops! An accident, of course. Just like all of her splashes.

Bringing Gabi to this party might've been the best thing that Selene had ever done for Matty. He had a feeling that things would still feel this easy between him and Gabi, even when they were sober.

He felt the molly kick in, and as a result, everything felt good.

Even when she splashed him in the face. He could only grin in response. It felt nice. Gabi felt nice, in his arms. When she brushed the hair away from his forehead -- that felt euphoric. The sensation was nice. Her nails felt nice.

It almost made him forget that he was supposed to be punishing her. Oh, right.

"You're on thin ice now."

Without warning, Matty pulled her beneath the water in a quick, brief motion. Just enough to submerge her partially.

He held onto her sides, selfishly letting his fingers brush over her bare torso. Touching her beneath the water felt nice. He wondered what it would've felt like without that barrier of liquid between them.
