what about some sort of buddy cop, same age, enemies to lovers au where obi-wan is a jedi and anakin is a coruscanti detective and they literally hate each other and have no respect for the other (obi-wan thinks anakin is a waste of the coruscant budget and a jedi wannabe; anakin thinks obi-wan is a pretentious space monk asshole)

(anakin has personally arrested obi-wan for speeding three times, drinking in public spaces 4 times -- the public space was a bar btw -- and indecent public exposure once. that last one was, tbh, fair cause obi-wan had his dick out in an alley way lol)

(obi-wan has literally stalked this asshole coruscanti cop off planet before and arrested him in his capacity as Jedi Knight for not using his turn signal when changing hyperspace lanes (once), for podracing betting (3 times), and for possession of a galacticly banned substance (twice))

it's not that they're obsessed with each other, it's just that something keeps forcing them together in the wildest, most unpredictable situations, and it's annoying as hell because they're completely fed up with each other

then the senate moves to have a new task force stood up to solve a series of Force-related crimes in the Coruscanti underworld. the task force would include a representative from the Jedi Temple and one from the Coruscanti guards, obviously. and really, obi-wan and anakin are the perfect choices! they're both highly intelligent, dedicated, trustworthy, and incorruptible.

if only they'd stop trying to push each other off the 51st story of coruscant and actually put their heads together to solve the crime

it didn't go over smoothly at all, aka torin is once again reminded that his actions have consequences and those consequences are rarely (if ever) good :'^D varre's still fanatically loyal to mohg and views any attack against his master as an attack against himself, so torin killing mohg would be an unforgivable betrayal.

i ended up killing varre at the end of his questline in my first playthrough haha. i think for them to have a (sort of?) happy ending as they are now, torin would need to be content with serving the dynasty alongside varre and abandoning the rest of his quest (which he isn't willing to do as part of what drove him to varre in the first place is his desire for revenge and he can't give that up so easily).

on the other hand if you want to imagine a scenario where varre ends up surviving, he and torin would need to go their separate ways for a while. when they meet back up it'd be after torin resolves his quest for vengeance and comes to terms with his losses and also probably after he's burned the erdtree (and melina). by then they've both been through the wringer and are so Tired of it all that it's easier to fall back into comforting old habits with each other. it'd still take them a while to fully reconcile tho :'^)

Sometimes i think about how the Dra killers would look like in that final section of the trials where you shoot down their arguments if those were like the Sdra2 TTS where the characters get a special little design for it n stuff

Hello :) do you parhaps have and could share any arthuriana book references for someone who wants to get into it but doesn't know where to start?

Also your art is amazing and beautiful and everytime you post a new piece i stare at it in adoration and then go try to find and read the cited sources, so thank you so much for sharing your art with us :)

ough, there's probably some arthuriana blogs on this site who have a much more entry level friendly rec list/equipped to answer this than me, because my interest in arthuriana follows specific historical focuses and genre discussions. literally I read the prose tristan because I was scrolling through jstor and a text on the law in camelot mentioned the murder of dinadan, and I went, oh HELLO---

tldr; my other historical interests gave me enough background info that I comfortably jump around wherever my curiosity takes me, so I'm absolutely useless for this 🙃

tbh I'd probably just look up a summary of the main block of arthuriana texts and pick whatever sounds most fun or focus in on a knight you like and run them through a jstor search. perceval and tristan are my favorites, and kay compels me too. watch bbc's merlin and weep over gawaine, then do lancelot du lac (the film) and cry over gawaine a second time)

additionally I'd rec Stephen Knight's Merlin: Knowledge and Power through the Ages and Caitlin R. Green's Concepts of Arthur to go alongside it all because I think both books fuck severely

the more i play the arkham knight, the more sense the ending - in which bruce just fucking kills himself - just makes sense. this game is fucking relentless in how everything just fucking happens all the goddamn time. the city is under siege, but also two face is robbing banks, but also the penguin is smuggling weapons, but also firefly is setting everything on fire, but also professor pyg is leaving corpses everywhere, but also the riddler had kidnapped catwoman and we have to complete his bullshit trials, but also there are bombs everywhere, but also we are looking for missing firefighters. and all of this is happening at once. during a single night. which, by the way, had went on for over 15 hours in my current save. no wonder bruce goes and explodes himself. i can barely handle talking to 2 people at once, and this mf is juggling 100 cases of terrorism. death is the only way for him to catch a goddamn break.
