Okay I'm done with Natlan and Citlali's quest
My opinion on Citlali improved slightly, but the rest... Ehhh... No. I'm not gonna say that Natlan was bad, cause ngl for me the most boring archon quest was Sumeru. (And I'm saying it because of the fact that the dream loop was ridiculous and I hated it just as much as I hate Nahida which is a ToN)

#they build up so much climax for it to just be... not engaging at all#although I do like that you had additional scenes if you did story quests!#but it's just like... the whole 'omg everyone is hyping up mc' has been done SO MANY TIMES across all the games it's so run down and BorinG#I much more liked it when everyone wasn't swooning over the traveler#when we could actually interact with antagonists/villains#and not have it be some entity and collection of monsters that randomly spawn#i miss when traveler wasn't getting everything on a silver platter cause of their reputation#like when literally everywhere we had to FIGHT for everyone's respect#and I'm shadowposting rn idc#someone on twt said something like 'clearly you haven't read Liyue and Mond in a while if you think that was any better than Natlan 🤓' and#let me say rn: I think that Natlan story is better than Sumeru- but that doesn't mean it was any good because I didn't like Sumeru story#Natlan dialogue was just filled with npc like souless dialogue. Either with character pampering the traveler#saying some 'deep thoughts' or having 'random xD' moments#hands down- if they didn't shut up Ajaw it'd be more fun. Ajaw is slaying and bitch is acting like a 4th grader#and still has more personality than everyone in the room combined#and if Citlali's drinking problem wasn't written off as a joke- I'd probably love her character more#and I'm not saying it because it's a cool thing to say to hate on a new thing. but I'm saying it because it's getting more and more bland#i really wanted to like natlan but it just didn't stick for me

Arkose definitely liked video games as a kid, before they lost too much motor control in their fingers to reliably hit the buttons.
We will say, for the purpose of this combination character study post + shitpost, that Solution 9 has a game very similar to Fortnite.
Arkose played Fort9 for a grand total of one day.
...and then they could barely sleep that night because something about the way the map shrank over time scared the everloving shit out of them, and they couldn't explain why.
They have recurring stress nightmares for years afterwards about the dome shrinking.

Do you ever think about how Amane's warnings were either seen as threats (by Mahiru and audience) or as just test of patience (by Shidou)? Do you ever think about how Amane likely was just trying to protect the ones she cares about? Do you think she didn't actually want to kill Shidou, but felt like she had to to save Mahiru? Do you think that's why she's mad at us for not stopping him?
First MV, shows her helping a (cartoon) cat, getting punished, then promising to be good. Gets voted guilty and punished, giving a message that practicing medicine is bad and deserves punishment.
Second MV, shows what the punishment was and that the cartoon cat was real cat.
Do you think after that first vote result, she started to think of Milgram as the same as her mom? That Milgram has the same rules against medicine? That if Shidou continues to practice it, Milgram will punish both him and kill Mahiru?
Do you think Amane killed Shidou immediately after knowing that he was voted Innocent? Do you think she felt like that was a huge risk and that she'd get punished again, this time for ending a life too early before it was supposed to, but that she thought it was worth it to protect Mahiru from same fate that the cat she took care of faced? Or do you think she waited until she was voted Innocent as well, to get confirmation that it's acceptable to punish someone for breaking the rules? Do you think even then it felt like a risk given how close she was to being voted Guilty again? Do you think she's currently scared of what we'll do now?
Do you think she regrets the decision? Do you think she too blames herself now for Mahiru's death, along with millions of voices that blame her for it?

Got so distracted playing minecraft that it's once again, 4 am. The seed of the world I got is so baffling to me, like it's the first time I've seen a seed with so many structures nearby and it's all cuz I put "GIVEMEAGOODSEEDBITCH" (was there a YOU there I forgor) in the seed input.
#aria rants#i have the biomes o' plenty mod for 1.20.1 and ive just been hopping world to world looking for a nice seed#thatd at least show me some of the structures from the graveyard mod i have installed without me using the /locate command#and that world did. in fact its so crazy i spawned right in front of the haunted house and had to immediately put peaceful on#my face was: 😦 when i spawned in cuz like-- ''the audacity of this seed to spawn me right at the monsters mouth''#and turns out that was just the beginning. the spawn was in the minecraft swamp biome and there were HIPPOS (from another mod)#nearby and like-- EVERYWHERE IS WATER those hippos turn aggressive when you step foot in water AND THEN i looked around#there was a tiny blue mushroom grave nearby. and then off to the distance i can see some houses. turns out it was a village--#with a HUGE MUSHROOM from graveyard mod that spawned right in the middle of it AND THEN when i went to explore#via creative mode just flying aimlessly-- i found a medium graveyard farther away (which i looted) and when i flew#some more i found ANOTHER haunted house with an abandoned portal and a VILLAGE nearby again and then you walk some#blocks away theres a washed up nearly fully intact shipwreck and it had a treasure map with the treasure NEARBY#and i was like: okay. wtf. so i tried to find my way back home and found out that it was actually CLOSE BY so i wanted to see#if i can find my way back there again and somehow found ANOTHER haunted house nearby and that haunted house#was near TWO MORE BIG structures from graveyard mod. the seed was insane. minecraft heard me and actually gave me a good one
