the fact that an ace artist who has mentioned on multiple occasions she doesn't entirely get romance in fiction (at least in a lot of largely cliched forms) appears to be unable to create a single unfuckable character seems like some kind of largely benign but greatly entertaining curse. even the evil slime can't be an exception somehow. is this some kind of chaotic monkey's paw thing you did in exchange for drawing skills?

I’m excited for the chapter when we see how Gotham views Peter + Spider-man. Cause they must have obviously noticed a new kid hanging around the Wayne’s and at first they’re like “Bruce did it again” but they look closer and they’re like “wait that kid looks like dick?? Why is dick being fatherly with this random???? Is dick someone’s baby daddy????”.

They’ll try to do the math: “this kid looks to be 12 and dick is 29 so HE WAS 17 WHEN HE HAD HIM?????!??!”

well the waynes are publicly involved with gotham programs and all that, so it's not too out of the way to see a couple waynes around gotham shopping with a kid or helping out, etc. and then while at the manor, peter hasn't left other than to hang out with dick, adn they've been pretty incognito for the most part. the only people that know where peter went are the kids that Maps hangs out with, Benny, and those people from the diner. all of which didn't take pictures

what i'm saying is is that at some point we're definitely gonna have a plotline where Vicki Vale tries to have everyone believe that Dick is Peter's dad and every single one of our beloved characters gaslight the fuck out of her, as per usual. to the point that they probably create fake photos to make it look like peter is a cousin or something, and their shared relatives just have very strong genes on that side of the family. cause they love to lie

though sometimes i do think dick would claim that peter is his son, regardless of the rumors that come out of it

so I’ve been getting a lot of my photos for memes off of the IMDb website and most of the photo ratios are 16:9, right? but every once in a while there will be something in another ratio

there are never any edits or anything

so WHY is there an edit of the tragic ot3 death scene in the photo gallery for the long goodbye job???

like as far as I’ve seen that’s the only edit out of any of the episodes throughout all seven seasons of the OG series and reboot

I know this isn't only an autistic thing or always an autistic thing, but over the least few years, I've realized that a lot of my difficulties with humor are not actually with humor itself. If anything, there are specific kinds of humor that really work for me and I end up laughing so much harder and longer than everyone else that it's uncomfortable or embarrassing.

But a lot of popular humor fundamentally relies on saying things that aren't true. Sometimes this is drastic exaggeration, sometimes it's OTT parody that is far more about Being Funny than about the actual thing being parodied, and often it's flatly false and that's what is supposed to be funny about it. And yes, that's a humorless and ungracious way to describe that kind of humor—I don't mean to say that this is objectively bad or something.

I even understand the jokes intellectually. But in the vast majority of cases, there is something deeply unfunny to me about jokes reliant on something that is either obviously untrue or which I firmly disagree with.

I've seen quite a few posts recently about how, in online fandom, mocking your faves or being amused at other people mocking your faves is an important part of fandom culture. But for me, jokes about my faves based on things they actually said or did, or qualities they clearly possess, can be very funny, while jokes that are based on misrepresentations—even obvious, it's-all-in-good-fun-and-we-all-know-the-truth misrepresentations—are tedious at best.

For an easy example: Anakin and Luke Skywalker are two of my main Star Wars faves. Jokes about sand or Anakin mass-murdering children in his good phase or Luke being far less concerned than Han over the revelation of who his twin is or "it's not faaaaair" can still be really funny to me when told right. Jokes about Anakin obviously mind-tricking Padmé or Luke being obviously an eternally optimistic loser twink are intensely annoying to me regardless of context or delivery, not because they're comparably objectionable or anything but because they're not true.

Functionally this does cut out a lot of humor—especially online humor—but it's not that I literally don't understand it. I get it. I just don't get it.

like maybe they put in the implant screws around the time of the frozen four finals but also i dont think so given that he was concussed and they give you full anaesthesia when they put implant screws in and full anaesthesia plus a concussion does not sound like a good medical choice.

all this to say: our boy would’ve had a little retainer with a resin tooth for at least 3 months post tooth-gets-knocked-out, to make sure theres no damage to the gums and that there’s no swelling when the implant crown gets put in. now i’m giggling at the mental image of bitty having a little tooth retainer he can pop in and out.

I feel like people forget that there are different outcomes for voting Innocent too, that there're more ways to bring about a change than a Guilty vote. Because all I've been seeing is "Amane should've been Guilty!" and not pointing out that without the trigger pulls of voting Mahiru and Amane Guilty in T1, neither of them would be in this situation. Muu's Guilty was what caused Haruka's death but all I'm seeing is people saying they assumed his Guilty would save him. Innocent can change things as well!

...though I guess now it's too late.
