Storytime : My hatred of shiftok
Hey everyone, I wanted to share a personal story that highlights why I’ve grown to strongly dislike Shiftok (the shifting community on TikTok).
This isn’t about throwing shade at the concept of shifting itself, because I’ve been part of the practice for years and found immense value in it.
However, my recent experience in an online shifting community vastly composed of younger members made me realize just how toxic and judgmental it can become.
I’m not here to stir up drama, but to share my story so that others who may have gone through similar situations can feel less alone. Sometimes, online communities, especially when comprised of younger members, can be less about support and more about mob mentality behacing like mindless sheep. And unfortunately, I found myself at the center of that.
Here’s what happened:
Around 6 months ago,I joined a Discord server dedicated to shifting (made by a shiftoker), but for the first few days, I didn’t really engage much. I’m the kind of person who likes to observe a bit before jumping in. After a while, I noticed they had a voice chat, so I figured I’d join in, thinking I could find some deep conversations and intelligent debate on shifting. I was wrong. Very wrong.
Their debate originally was about race changing, and since this is an extreamly controversial subejct on which the 3 of us in the groupchat agreed with, i though maybe age changing would be the case.
Very fucking foolish of me.Very.
I’ve been aware of shifting for about years, ever since I was 16. During that time, I wrote numerous scripts where I imagined dating my comfort characters, and though I haven’t successfully shifted yet, I’m still determined to experience that so i never gave up trying to shift there. Recently, I started questioning a particular aspect of shifting and decided to ask the community for guidance.
The dilemma? I wanted to know if it would be wrong to shift into a younger version of myself to experience the teenage romance I never had. Growing up, I missed out on those typical teenage expereinces, and I thought that shifting could allow me to relive that part of my life that was denied from me .
Thats is how i discivered shifting when i think about it . I was extreamly sour and bitter at the time seeing people my age going out, having a group of friends a romantic partner while i was sulking in my room still scarred by the years of bullying .i couldnt fucking stand it.
So is started shouting ,cussing, insulting, screaming at the universe that it owed me a debt for all the shit i put me through; that it owed me a debt that it can never pay back. And that i was here to collect that debt.
Next thing i know ? Shifting videos start appearing in my FYP and the rest i supposed if you discovered shifting in 2020 you know how it goes.
I asked the community: Since I’m now over 18, would it be unethical to age myself down and live through those scripted expereinces and relationships? My intentions were pure. It wasn’t about fetishizing youth —I just wanted to experience something I had missed out on. And also i made those DRs long ago so i do not want to give up after trying for years.
I explained that shifting is about exploring realities that differ from your current one, and to aslo expereince things that are impossible for you to do in your current so why not experience a teenage romance that I didn’t have?
I also emphasized that both me and the characters regardless of if i age myself down or i age them up we will have the same maturity so there is no power imbalances of any kind. I beleived that if I script myself as being 16, I would naturally have the mindset and maturity of a 16-year-old without having to script "i also have the maturity of my physical age".
(wich after further research and having shifted myself confirmed it to be true)
Some people were actually helpful, suggesting that I could just age the characters up to match my current age, that there was nothing wrong since your intention isnt "shifting for minors" but shifting for an experience and I thought that was a reasonable statement. However, as more teenagers (13 to 15-year-olds) started jumping into the chat, the conversation took a turn for the worse. Suddenly, they started accusing me of wanting to date minors, labeling me as a creep and even throwing around terms like "pedophile." They insisted I should go to jail, even though I hadn’t done anything inappropriate—just asked for advice.
Mind you, these were the same people who had desired realities where they were 50 something with kids 15 with a highschool sweetheart in another. It felt incredibly hypocritical that they were comfortable shifting to various ages, but when I wanted to explore an earlier phase of my own life in a healty wholesome manner, I was suddenly a villain.
As the accusations escalated, I even suggested aging the characters up, so they’d match my current age. But no matter what I said, they kept insisting I was still in the wrong. They claimed that because I had once found teenagers attractive when I was a teenager, I was somehow a predator now ("because something must have made you attracted to them when they were minors"). It was like they were twisting everything I said, refusing to understand my intentions.
It was infuriating. They accused me of things I wasn’t even thinking about. These were serious claims, and I couldn’t defend myself because they were so quick to misinterpret my words and take everything out of context. They were acting like I was trying to groom people in my desired reality (DR), even though I was merely exploring hypothetical scenarios.
The same people who preached that you could do anything you wanted in your desired reality, without limits, that you had all the time in the wormd to shift so no pressure were suddenly placing restrictions on me—telling me what was ethical and what wasn’t. They told me I was "grooming" the characters in my DR by aging them up, which is just ridiculous.
When I pointed out the inconsistency, suggesting they might technically be "grooming" people in their own current reality (CR) since they shift into different ages, or that their s/o from one of their adult DR is grooming them because in another reality there are a minor, they became defensive started blabbing "its not the same thing" and had no real arguments to back up their accusations.
At this point, it felt like I was being burned at the stake just for asking a question. I realized I wasn’t going to get a rational conversation out of this group, and the mob mentality was too strong. So, I left the server, and honestly, it was the best decision.
If there’s one piece of advice I can give from this experience, it’s this: if you find yourself in an online shifting community made up mostly of teenagers (13-16 years old), run. They can and WILL be quick to jump to conclusions, misinterpret your words, and label you unfairly.
In the end, I found better communities where the members are mature, thoughtful, and open to real discussions. If you’re facing similar issues, I encourage you to be cautious about the spaces you engage with. Make sure you find a community that values open, respectful conversations—where people don’t leap to judgments or throw around serious accusations without understanding your intentions.
Which is why i started making this page and publising these essays in the first place.Because no one provide a clear fucking answers in this types of question just saying "its bad", "because it is" without providing substantial arguments to back up their claims.
So i was "if no one is gonna do it, i will" and i did and it turns out these people are even more pathetic than i thought. Key exemple of that is instead of countering my arguments the only thing they have is accusing me of using Chat GPT.
So things to take from my story are :
-Leave shiftok for good its is not good for information or shifting knowledge. Shifting script templates and inspo ? yes. Information & knowledge ? RUNNNNNNNNNN.
-The most vehement critics within the community are the biggest hypocrites. They will call you a pedo for aging down but on the same vein will age up only to get fucked by they fav dilfs. Those against race changing will still race change just to diff species and races that are fictonal in this reality .
-Do what makes you feel good and do not lisen to these people, they are sour bitter and pathetic individuals its your journey you desired reality not theirs.
So i hope this story of mine will help people understand that you should feel bad about about wanting to shift to those DRs.That it will bring you wisdom and help to all the teenage shifters that are approching 18 and are scared that they are doing someting bad trust me you are not bad you are doing something pure and wholesome do not let them go to your head it will only slow you down in your journey.
Best of Luck in you shifitng Journey,
Alastor Luno.

i don’t like the take that there was power imbalance between joe and taylor because she was more famous than him. that happens and exists but i just don’t believe that was the case. like most swifties supported his career or were at least neutral of him. so many people (general public and casual listeners) didn’t even know much about him via her, just that they were together. and as far as the “antis” and gaylors go, trust me everyone has people who hate them (yes everyone) and that loud hate is expected with fame. not fun but it’s the reality. also, taylor didn’t advance his career because she didn’t use to be a movie influence but her camp was beneficial to him and she loved him very much and wasn’t manipulating her fame to trap him (she’s repeatedly talked about not wanting to be the elephant and actively making herself smaller and not be a big deal).
also, despite all of this, he still could’ve obviously felt overwhelmed by it all or whatever but he was literally there was 2016, and also since then, she’s actively changed her life so much, like so much to combat the bad parts. no one is perfect but that doesn’t mean she had power over him.

Warnings: Minors DNI, 18+, Financial Control, Power Imbalance, Dark themes, mentions of death, My bad writing, Anything Else I Missed
Tumblr media
Casually thinking about how Pantalone’s hobbies include toying with the nobles in the Tsaritsa’s court for funsies. The ambitious social climbing families of the court’s lesser houses are always so eager to see their children or themselves rise into Zapolyarny’s more elite circles. Who better to play the role of the benevolent benefactor to the underprivileged during Snezhnaya’s social season than the Regrator himself? He certainly has the money and as far as connections go, there is literally no one he can’t find or buy should he need too. It is the perfect arrangement for those eager to climb or it would be, if they bothered to read the fine print.
Debts and collateral are funny things. Pantalone has no use for endless estates or family jewels. He always accepts Mora, but what use does he have for it when he can manipulate it like vision bearers can the elements? He wishes for something more malleable; something he can shape, something he can mold, something he can control. Those same poor souls who are seeking a better station in life often find themselves under the Regrator’s thumb, shackled to him by a debt they cannot pay.
He moves them around as he needs, placing them where he feels they will be best suited. From the seediest brothels to the most exclusive salons; Pantalone has eyes and ears throughout the capital, making sure his enemies are always right where he needs them to be. Poised and ready for the fall he has planned for them.
Such is the case with many, such is the case with you.
Normally, Pantalone rarely took stock of what his collateral looked like. He didn’t put faces to names or much valuation on individual personalities. His only real interest was risk vs reward. Who had the highest capability to give him the best return on his investment and who would be better left to the frigid conditions of Snezhnaya’s winters should they not be able to deliver what was owed.  That wasn’t to say Pantalone didn’t have an eye for the exceptional though.  While he rarely looked past his papers and figures, he did on occasion have cause to look. You had regrettably given him that cause.
To others like you, your position was an enviable one. You weren’t subjected to the routine that was following targets or hunting up information or even soiling your hands with the blood of those Pantalone had seen fit to end. Instead, you are kept in lavish comfort. Subject to being locked in chains made of diamonds and platinum. Forced to endure his company until like all the rest, your usefulness, much like your tears would run dry. Then and only then would he consider setting you free. He would weigh your debt against all he had taken. Hemming and hawing over his balance sheets, running his calculations until he reached a satisfactory conclusion.
You could only pray that whatever decision he came to, whether it be an advantageous marriage to one of his higher ranking officers or death, that it was quick. That it was painless, and that it didn’t involve the Doctor.

They look like kings sitting on their plush chairs as you tremble in front of them.
In reality, they are wolves, with sharp teeth and claws ready to rip you apart.
One of them with thick and luscious curls and a thick beard, and the other one shares the same features with neatly styled hair and a mustache.
Walter Marshall and August Walker.
Both are equally pretty and deadly at the same time. Gods amongst mere humans.
Their blue eyes sparkle as you try to find your voice.
You’re a pitiful sight to them. A broke woman, with no hope, or money left.
All thanks to your useless and unfaithful husband.
He recently passed away and left more than a hole in your heart. Six digits of debt are now yours to pay.
“I-“You drop your gaze and swallow thickly. You wring your hands, wincing as you miss your wedding band and engagement ring. “I sold my rings and all the jewelry I own.”
“How much do you have for us, mouse?” One of the wolves gets up to stand in front of you. He roughly wraps his large hand around your throat, thumb brushing over your windpipe. “I could easily break you.” He smirks, as your eyes widen in fear. “Maybe I will.”
“August,” the other wolf slowly gets up to place his hand on his brother’s shoulder. “We talked about impulse control, brother.”
“Ha! Do you want to tell me something about impulse control? Brother, you are the incarnation of impatience and easily loose control.”
You shrink into yourself. Crowded by both of them you feel even smaller and vulnerable. Your legs are about to give in, and you wince anytime their eyes land on you.
“I sold the car and his golf clubs,” you whisper, not daring to speak louder. “The house…I couldn’t sell it. The bank will take it.”
“You will learn that I hate repeating myself,” August flashes you a devilish grin. “So, how much do you have for us?”
“Eight thousand and fifty dollars,” you sniff. “I know it’s not much, but I’ll pay every buck he owes you back.” Your fingers tremble when you get the envelope with the money out of your pocket.
“Aw, look at her,” Walter coos to mock you. “She’s already trembling for me, brother.” He lifts your chin with his index finger. “Look at me, lamb.” He leaves no room for arguments when he intensely stares at you. “Good girl.” Walter praises when you hold his gaze for a few seconds.
“I wonder what else she has to offer.” While Walter cups your chin to tilt your head, August circles you like prey. “Tell me, mouse.” He whispers in your ear. “Is this cunt tight?”
“What?” You splutter, while tears well up to your eyes. You struggle to breathe. These men treat you like a piece of meat, not a person. All they have in mind is getting their money back. And they don’t care how you pay them back.
“We have a club,” August slaps your ass hard enough to bring more tears to your eyes. “Maybe you can work a dick to pay us back our money.”
“Brother, I don’t think this pussy is worth five-hundred thousand bucks,” Walter tuts, but his eyes drop to your chest. “Maybe she can ride my dick and I give her fifty bucks every time she swallows me.”
“Mouse, what do you say?” August places his hand on your shoulder. “I let you ride dick at my club, and you pay me back my money this way. Or do you want to ride his dick for the rest of your pitiful life?”
“No…” You shake your head. “You can kill me, but I won’t work at your club.” You have a little self-respect left. Even if these beautiful monsters hold your life in their hands, you won’t stoop even lower and sell your body to random men.
“She’s got some fight left, August,” Walter smirks darkly at your predicament. You try to put a brave face on, but he can see the fear in your eyes. “So, lamb. How do you wanna pay us back our money if you don’t work his customers dicks?”
“I don’t know,” you sniff. “I’ll find a way. Even if it’s not my fault you lend money to my deceased husband. I didn’t know about any of this. He never told me about his problems or that he ate some other bitch’s pussy.”
“Walter, I think we got a cocky mouse,” August wraps his hand around your throat from behind to tilt your head. He forces you to look at him, making you wince in pain. “If I tell you to ride dick, you ask which hole my customer wants to fill.”
“August,” Walter tuts. “I think she’s too mousy for your club.” You hear August sigh deeply behind you. “I like me some shy mouse. They are best at sucking dick.”
“She owes us both, not only you.”
“If she works at the club we will never get it back!” Walter grunts. “If you give her to me, I’ll have a nice kitten to play with.” His features darken and he wraps his hand around his brother’s wrist. “We both know she’ll never be able to pay us back.”
“I’ll pay back every buck,” you croak. “Please…” You start to cry. “It’s not my fault he died and left me nothing but trouble and debts. I would’ve sold the house to give you the money.”
August huffs. He’s not in the mood to waste more time on you. “Have her for tonight. I want her at the club tomorrow!”
Walter glances at your quivering lips. He’s mesmerized by the sight of your fear. In his line of business, people mostly fear him. But he never was enchanted by one of the faceless people he tormented in the past. “No.”
“No?” August cracks his neck and gets ready for another fight with his brother. “Please enlighten me, Walter. How do you intend on getting the money back if you keep her?”
“I was looking for someone to share my lonely nights with,” Walter grins down at you. “She’s not too bad to look at and knows how to shut her mouth. I don’t like the mouthy bitches you wanted to share lately. All they have in mind are clothes, social media, and money.”
“Oh,” August drops his hand from your neck. He pinches your ass, making you jump. “You want to share the mouse?”
“I bet, she will look pretty stuffed with two big cocks,” Walter dips his head to glance at his brother. “Do you remember the cute little thing in Dublin? The one we found at the pub?”
“She squeaked like a mouse when we punched her pussy with our cocks,” August groans deeply. “She was tight but lacked endurance. I bet this one won’t pass out on us when we use her all night long.”
“Right, lamb?” Walter cups your chin again, “You will be a good girl for us. Did you ever cum on two cocks at the same time?”
Your eyes widen, and you feel an icy shiver run down your spine. These men see nothing but a body they can use in you.
You are trapped with them in their territory and scared shitless. Still, your panties dampen at the thought of them using you to their liking.
“She just pressed her legs together.” Walter drops his hand from your chin and steps away. He admires your trembling form for a moment, drinking every micro-expression in. “I bet she’s a little brainless slut.”

My thoughts on Chaggie/ Charlie x Vaggie
Before we begin, no this isn't a "I hate chaggie post" and no I will not be hating on those who ship it either. Rather this is just my thoughts on chaggie at the moment.
So, I'm just gonna say it, Chaggie is my OTP. Not because it is perfection, but because it's in my opinion one of the most interesting relationship canon/noncanon, I love both the characters in the relationship, and any moment of intimacy (not just kisses and such but any intimacy that reads as romantic) is cute. And with that I want to talk about the relationship so far.
Now I've been seeing people say their relationship is toxic or unhealthy, and to that I say...that's a bit strong. Let me explain. So because hazbin is kinda speedrunning it's plot (which I understand bc limitations on episodes and seasons green lit) we don't get to deeply know all the characters and specifics on why they make certain choices and how they ended up the way they did so we have to rely on the broad and limited information provided in each episode.
Based on the 6 episodes released, we can tell Charlie is very optimistic, to a fault at times, passionate, a go getter with some direction, very empathetic, ablivious at times, and ultimanty wants to be a leader but lacks the confidence and authority (despite begin a princess bc we love the royal that doesn't know how to rule troupe, genuinely) to be one.
Vaggie on the other hand, is like Charlie, very kind, but isn't as willing to put faith in a person till they've proven they deserve it, protective, loyal, good intended, not very trusting, lacks confidence, and dependent on Charlie.
Now when you put these two together, while the two do help eachother supplement what the other lacks, whether through reassurance, doing what the other can't or doesn't want to do, or giving the other what they need at the moment, even if that isn't them, it's clear who relies more on the other. After it's revealed how Vaggie and Charlie met, it really reframes Vaggie's character. No longer is she just a slightly insecure girlfriend who just wants to make sure her partner is happy and is being supportive and good enough to her, she's now a character who has bad identity issues. I mean can you blame her?! Her whole life disappeared in an instance and started all over when Charlie found her. I imagine they haven't really been apart since then except for a couple hours maybe, but never for days or longer. And being with someone for so long especially in an unfamiliar place, of course you become attached to them. Add Charlie basically saving Vaggie's life, there's an imbalance there. A feeling of indebtedness even if Charlie never said Vaggie owed her bc wow that would be way out of character.
Now as I mentioned before, Charlie is a bit ablivious to certain things, she's especially ablivious to how vaggie feels and what she's going through. Now that's not entirely her fault, she didn't know Vaggie was an angel and that Vaggie may feel indebted to her for saving her life, but also it's clear Charlie doesn't understand social cues and again, because of her trust in Vaggie, she'd assume Vaggie would tell her anything that was wrong or bothering her since the contrary just isn't something established in there relationship. And if Vaggie didn't want to talk about something she'd say it, not lie. Like in all honesty I think Charlie won't be upset by Vaggie being an angel, but rather hiding it. Now it may sound like alot to ask of Vaggie, but again, Charlie is under the impression that Vaggie would be explicit about what to talk and not talk about. Also Charlie may be hurt because she may feel like Vaggie doesn't trust her enough or think she wouldn't accept her. So I get both sides.
So to me there relationship feels like any relationship, complicated. The relationship Itself isn't unhealthy, but some of the actions of the two involved aren't healthy or the best. Don't think I forgot about Charlie being pushy at times, I understand why she does it, but combine it with her abliviousness it's not so great. I definitely think Charlie and Vaggie can bounce back and maybe the two can have a moment together that helps the two be better together and separate. Which brings me to another thing I'd like to talk about.
My hope for Chaggie in the future is this. In the next episode, the two give eachother space, and they hangout with people in the hotel. I like the idea of Vaggie, Husk, and or Angel hanging out. Charlie and Lucifer or Charlie, Sir Pentious, Husk, or Angel spending time with her. Then half way or 3 quarters through the episode Vaggie and Charlie have a moment together after talking and hangingout with the others, talk about it/maybe apologize, make up, and have there first kiss in the show (other gestures like their foreheads touching or noses touching or a combination of gestures work as well). Then of course setting up for the 8th episode.
Another thought I had, is also the two trying to act as if nothing happened, they continue with there plans with the hotel, then when everyone notices the obvious tension, while they want to prepare for the extermination, they also want to figureout/help Vaggie and Charlie get through what ever happened. Then I imagine they either try doing the exercises and such Charlie plans but secretly use it as a way to help Charlie and Vaggie, in the end Vaggie or Charlie blow up. Shit goes down and then they make up. Or it's still not working so they try getting the two away from eachother by saying they need help with stuff, talking to them, then the two make up. Or one last one I swear, Vaggie or Charlie say to take a break from this. Everyone does, Charlie and Vaggie talk or argue. Walk different ways, Vaggie stays at the hotel and Charlie leaves the hotel. After the two end up figuring shit out, I like to think Charlie got into some shit, Vaggie saves her, they talk as they deal with the trouble Charlie's in, make up, and have an intimate moment.
Now the last thing I wat to say is kinda related but not, so if you came just for Chaggie you can leave. Anyways, with the current state of chaggie (especially with the lack of typical romantic intimacy) I noticed people shipping Charlie x Emily. And while yes I see it, personally I don't ship it just because they've only met in episode 6, they're too similar, and in my opinion, I like them as friends. With that being said, I do like them together so long as Charlie is still with Vaggie. Like I just love Charlie and Vaggie together so much, I don't want them to split. So either I'd have them as a throuple, or Charlie is dating them both but Emily and Vaggie are just friends. Either one is a pretty interesting shipping dynamic and great for fanfiction. Also just to clarify, I'm not hating on Emily x Charlie, it's just not one I'm strong about. So if you like it, more power to you. And you know what, I'll probably still look at content of it anyways cause even if it isn't my fav it's still cute.
Uh anyways, I hope you enjoyed my word vomit and thoughts? Idk how to end this...uh goodbye!

Orcus in the signs
Orcus (90482), named after the Roman god of the underworld. Its placement in a natal chart can give insight into an individual's relationship with power, control, and transformation. A minor planet that represents the energy of consequence and karma.
Orcus in Aries: A desire for power and control in personal relationships, as well as a need to be seen as a leader or pioneer in one's field. A person's past actions and decisions have led them to a point where they need to learn to balance their assertiveness with consideration for others, and to take responsibility for the consequences of their actions. They may also be required to work on developing a stronger sense of self and individuality, and to learn how to use their personal power in a positive and constructive way. Orcus in Aries may indicate a need for personal growth and the development of leadership skills.
Orcus in Taurus: A strong desire for material security and stability, as well as a need for control over one's possessions and resources. They have a strong attachment to material things and may feel as if they are owed something in life. They have a tendency to hold onto grudges and not forgive easily, which can lead to karmic debt in the future. On the other hand, they may be able to work hard and accumulate wealth, but they need to be careful not to become too greedy.
Orcus in Gemini: A desire for mental control and manipulation, as well as a need for intellectual dominance or influence. There’s a focus on communication, information, and intellectual pursuits when it comes to issues of justice and karmic consequences. It’s a good idea to consider different sides of an issue before passing judgment or taking action.
Orcus in Cancer: A desire for emotional control and manipulation, as well as a need for security and protection in personal relationships. There are karmic issues related to the persons family and home life. This placement indicates a need to transform or heal past wounds related to their upbringing, and to confront any unresolved emotional issues. There’s also a need to address any issues related to nurturing and taking care of oneself and others. This placement indicates a strong connection to one's ancestral roots and a sense of duty towards family and the home.
Orcus in Leo: A desire for recognition and fame, as well as a need for control over one's public image and reputation. These themes are expressed in a way that is focused on personal identity, self-expression, creativity, and leadership. There's a strong drive to take responsibility for one's own actions and to make a positive impact on the world. There can be a tendency to become overly attached to one's own ego, which could lead to conflicts with others or a sense of isolation. The challenge with Orcus in Leo is to balance a strong sense of self with a willingness to work collaboratively and to consider the needs of others.
Orcus in Virgo: A need for control over one's health and daily routines, as well as a desire for perfection and order in all aspects of life. There’s a focus on justice and fairness. Virgo's tendency to be analytical and critical may also amplify the themes of Orcus, causing an person to be particularly hard on themselves or others when it comes to issues of right and wrong. The analytical abilities of Virgo may also help the person to be more adept at detecting and addressing imbalances or injustices. They have a strong sense of duty and responsibility to make sure things are "right," and work tirelessly to achieve this goal. They need to be careful not to become overly critical or perfectionistic in their quest for justice.
Orcus in Libra: A need for control over one's relationships and partnerships, as well as a desire for social harmony and balance. There’s an emphasis on issues related to relationships, partnerships, and fairness. People with this placement may be particularly focused on achieving balance and harmony in their lives and relationships. They're driven to seek justice and fairness in all aspects of life, and have a strong sense of what is right and wrong. They also struggle with indecision or difficulty making choices, as they see all sides of a situation and want to consider everyone's needs and perspectives. There’s a strong desire for balance and fairness in all areas of life, particularly in relationships and partnerships.
Orcus in Scorpio: A desire for power and control in all areas of life, as well as a need for transformation and regeneration. There’s a deep fascination with the hidden and taboo, as well as an interest in power and control. This brings intense and transformative experiences related to sexuality, death, and the occult. It also creates a tendency towards obsessive or compulsive behavior, as well as a potential for hidden or repressed anger. With self-awareness and emotional maturity, this placement can lead to a profound understanding of the mysteries of life and death, and a powerful capacity for transformation and regeneration.
Orcus in Sagittarius: A desire for control over one's beliefs and ideologies, as well as a need for spiritual growth and exploration. The person with this placement is concerned with seeking truth and justice in their life. They have a strong sense of morality and ethics, and feel compelled to follow their beliefs and convictions, even if it means going against societal norms or expectations. They also have a keen interest in philosophy, religion, or higher education, and might pursue these areas of study as a way to gain greater understanding and wisdom. At times, they struggle with dogmatism, rigid thinking, or a sense of self-righteousness, which may alienate them from others or create conflicts. When they are able to maintain an open mind and a sense of humility, they can use their strong moral compass to inspire and guide others towards greater understanding and justice.
Orcus in Capricorn: A desire for power and control in professional and social settings, as well as a need for structure and discipline.  There’s a strong drive to succeed in their careers and they feel a sense of responsibility to uphold the status quo. They’re also more attuned to the darker aspects of power dynamics and may be able to see through superficial displays of authority or tradition. In relationships there’s need for respect and authority. They prefer relationships that have a clear structure and defined roles. They must be wary of partners who try to exert control or manipulate them in hidden ways.
Orcus in Aquarius: A desire for control over one's social and political ideals, as well as a need for innovation and progress. There’s a need to reform or revolutionize societal structures and systems that are oppressive or limiting. There's a strong sense of justice and equality for all, and a desire to bring about change through unconventional or innovative means. This placement indicates a fear of losing individuality or personal freedom in the face of conformity or authority, and a need to assert independence in unconventional ways. There’s a focus on group dynamics and the greater good, as well as a desire to break free from tradition and embrace new ideas and perspectives.
Orcus in Pisces: A desire for control over one's spiritual and emotional experiences, as well as a need for transcendence and enlightenment. There’s a need to face subconscious fears and spiritual issues related to endings, loss, and surrender. Pisces is a sign associated with the collective unconscious, imagination, and sensitivity, and Orcus here may emphasize the need to let go of old patterns or illusions that hinder spiritual growth. It also suggests a connection to hidden or taboo subjects, or a need to confront issues related to sacrifice or martyrdom.

Okay. Let’s start unpacking, shall we?
Aemond: you feel bad he lost his eye and is now permanently disfigured and disabled. Because he claimed a dragon, and 4 other children took personal offense to it. As I have said before, THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE EVEN BEEN THERE. What were 4 children going to do if it was someone dangerous? Die? They never jump him, the whole thing never happens. When one party makes a clear mistake that caused something to happen, it tends to be their fault. They formed a mob and jumped another child over an imagined crime. Had they alerted the guard or stayed in bed, the whole thing would have been avoided. Also, Aemond only uses his “deadly weapon” after Jace whips out a knife. A knife he brought with him. He was planning for violence.
Daemon: killed his first wife, murdered and maimed hundreds of small folk without a trial, married his second wife of his own choice and still didn’t love her, fucked his niece at his wife’s funeral, groomed multiple young girls, almost beat a messenger to death and choked his third wife. That’s just season 1.
Rhaenyra: As I said before, NO ONE CARES THAT SHE HAD BASTARDS. We care that she put them in the succession, which is ILLEGAL. Pay attention when people talk. Literally no one cares she had kids with someone that wasn’t her husband. We care about the treason she pulled. We care about the constant lying. We care that she shows herself to be cruel to a recently maimed child. You really think the same woman that would suggest her younger brother be tortured wouldn’t have Cole gelded and beheaded if he told her father what she did? Ok, that’s a fantasy land. He owed his station directly to her choosing him. There was a huge power imbalance. We watch her continue stripping him while he stands frozen after telling her NO. That’s rape. It doesn’t matter that he eventually went along with it. She coerced him into doing it.
Aegon: We have a fragmented story of something that happened between him and the maid. It is assumed to be rape because Dyana drank moon tea. Her story is that she was getting him his wine, she put it in the table, and then she didn’t see him. She asked him to stop. It bugs me so much that people take this inference and decided Aegon did it, no questions asked, he is a terrible person, but what did Cole say again? Oh, Rhaenyra took his helmet to lure him into her chambers. Refused to give it back, blocked his exit when he tried to leave, ignored him when he says stop and then forces him to look at her. Switch the genders and it’s the exact same situation that happened with Aegon and Dyana, but we don’t see it happen. We watch Cole being assaulted, and people still want to sit there and say it was some romantic gesture. I’m sorry, but trying to leave and asking her to stop and not being able to look at her, is assault. He said “stop”, same thing Dyana said. But because the genders are reversed, Aegon is definitely guilty and evil (though we didn’t even see what happened) and Rhaenyra is just an innocent little thing that can do no wrong, even though we watch her sexually assault Cole.
Maybe we side with the green faction because we have the ability to understand words and shit? We can watch a scene and go “whoa, what was that?!” And realize that women are just as capable of being horrible people as men are? Just a thought.

Ceasefire | 0.3 | Bradley Bradshaw x Reader
Tumblr media
Previous Chapter | Next Chapter | Masterlist
Synopsis: Bradley Bradshaw is in San Diego, summoned to Top Gun for the first time. Commander “Hyde” Simpson is his flight instructor, and she doesn’t have time for schoolboy crushes.
Warning: ex-husband!beausimpson, divorce, age gap (rooster is somewhere between 26-28, reader is 38), power imbalance between instructor and student aviator, swearing, angst, oral (barely)(m receiving)
“Come in.”
You’re sitting at your desk, taking a rather self indulgent extra twenty minutes for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It’s been a rough morning. Bob Floyd’s in the infirmary and you’ve got to figure out the paperwork for it. Today’s injury of choice is an almost concussion, something that could have been a near miss - but still knocked the young pilot on his ass and resulted in you having to empty Lieutenant Trace’s water bottle into his face.
That boy’s clumsier than a deer on ice and he’s providing you with plenty of admin work to busy yourself with. You don’t mind. You’ve handed the pilots off to Hondo for the afternoon, he’s got them out working on the jets in ninety degree heat.
Bradley’s pissed that you ditched him to go and sit pretty in your office. He cranks a wrench around a bolt. With each twist, he thinks of your face pressed into your sheets and you murmuring out his name. He checks his watch. The small hand’s stubbornness is really ruining his day. He closes his eyes and stretches out his neck. Just a couple more hours.
Your tongue darts out to wet your lips as you catch the time on your phone. Only seven minutes have passed since you last checked. Four more hours until Bradley’s stupid, loud car is pulling onto your street.
You tap the edge of your pen impatiently onto the accident form. Bradley has six more weeks here. Six more Friday nights.
Sure, you might have the power to pull a few strings and keep him close. There are plenty of admirals that owe you favours. Your lip quirks slightly at the thought of making Beau be the one to sign off on an order to keep your new fling right where you like him. As much as the idea of pissing Beau off tickles you in theory, you would never put the idea into practice. Beau doesn’t deserve that.
And truthfully, you would never hinder Bradley’s career like that.
It just means that you have to figure out some kind of way to get this little crush that you seem to have on him under control in the next six weeks. You’re certain it can’t be that hard. You’re certain you’ve done much harder things than letting go of pretty brown eyes and strong arms. Hell, you looked your husband of fifteen years in the eye and told him it was over without much heartache.
You’re certain that the person knocking at your door is going to be Bradley.
The handle twists and your lip quirks as you pretend to be busy with your work. You’re hit with a tinge of embarrassment, feeling the way that your heart picks up at the promise of flushed skin and -
Your eyes widen slightly as they lift and land on Beau.
You straighten yourself upright and cross one knee over the other.
“Beau. Hi.”
Beau takes in the surprise in your tone. Those heavy brows of his scrunch slightly in suspicion. His expression is thunderous. You swallow. He knows. There’s no way that he could know. No one knows. Bradley could have told him. Why the fuck would Bradley tell him?
“Were you expecting someone else?” Beau asks.
His question interrupts your silent panic. You know what game he’s playing. He always thinks that he knows you so well. That he can get you to spill any secret you’ve got by acting like he already knows what it is. You shake your head. You hate the way Beau has the ability to make you feel young again. Not in a good way.
You were still figuring things out when you met Beau. Younger than Bradley is now. Almost twenty-three. Beau was twenty-nine. He was tall and handsome, and a hell of a pilot. And he knew things. Not just in the sense of him being intelligent, although he was - he just knew certain things to be certain. You were uncertain about so much back then. You liked the security.
More recently, you’ve come to find that certainty to be grating. He doesn’t know anything. He doesn’t know more than you. You’ve got your own certainties and you have long outgrown his.
“No,” You speak calmly, “Just wasn’t expecting you, is all.”
Beau pushes one hand into the pocket of his khakis.
“I just wanted to speak to you about tonight.” He decides. The strength of a man’s poker face falters when you’re the only one that has touched them in fifteen years. You can see right through him. You know that you aren’t going to like what’s coming, and that he’s going to enjoy delivering it.
“Oh?” You tilt your head slightly.
Beau doesn’t enjoy being spiteful. But, the woman he loves is leaving him. Eight minutes ago he received a call from his college roommate. They spoke for a while. Wesley has heard the news. He’ll be in town over the weekend. They should get together to talk about it. Beau is standing in front of you now with an entirely new perspective.
He has considered being pliant, taking the kids on the days you agreed to, giving you the CD’s - who cares? - Whatever you want. Wes pointed out that Beau was using the term separation and questioned if you were using the same term.
Beau needs to test exactly how unravelled his marriage has become.
“Wes and Joe are back in town. I’ll be going to meet them tonight at eight.” Beau tells you. His tone is harsh and he isn’t asking for permission. You take it that he received the first draft of the divorce settlement and isn’t happy with what you’re asking for. You know that he wants you to start a fight and you aren’t playing.
“It’s your night with the kids tonight,” You remind him, leaning back in your office chair. You choose to play coy. “Are you going to get a sitter?”
Beau squints softly towards you. You notice that he’s restless. It’s air conditioned in here so he can’t pretend that the heat is getting to him. Your heart races as you wait for him to just break and accuse you.
“It’s my third Friday with the kids in a row, so I was thi-”
You interrupt to remind him, “That’s our arrangement. Fridays are your days.”
Beau shakes his head. His jaw ticks. He hates being interrupted.
“That doesn’t work for me,” He shrugs his shoulders. “I’ll pick them up tomorrow morning instead.”
“You don’t just get to-“
“Don’t I?” Beau interrupts. He turns back towards you and takes a bold step forwards, then rests his palms forwards on your desk. Your eyes widen slightly at the sheer audacity of his behaviour. He’s never dared to act like this towards you.
I’m sorry, is there a problem, Beau?” You glare at him, sitting upright and leaning closer to him. He’s not going to intimidate you into backing down.
Beau gives a soft shake of his head as he leans closer to you.
You stare him down.
“I was just thinking.” Beau speaks gently. There’s a familiarity to the softness of his voice, the way that he smells, the way that he looks at you — that just doesn’t bring you comfort any more. “You’ve been calling all the shots about our separation.”
“Divorce.” You correct him. He shrugs like this is an agree-to-disagree situation. His question is answered at once. Beau doesn’t like to be wrong.
Beau shakes his head softly, “Right.”
You wait patiently for him to apologise.
“See, if you were still my wife - I’d have to put up with this crap,” Beau decides. He taps his knuckle once on the wood, then stands upright and smooths out his uniform. “Kids are all yours until tomorrow.”
He turns and leaves, knowing that you won’t follow him into the hall to continue your argument. Your eye twitches slightly as he slams the door behind himself. You knew that the legal side of things was going to piss him off. You reach for your phone, ready to call your lawyer and demand a higher settlement. You’re interrupted by laughter outside.
Your head turns towards the window.
“I’m telling you, man,” Coyote whistles, shaking his head as he recounts the events of the night before. His friends trail at his sides. The swell of the afternoon heat is just about passing. Hondo finally let the word dismissed slip his lips a couple of minutes ago. “I seriously think I’m in love.”
Bradley scoffs. Javy’s talking about some girl he met in a bar last week. They’ve gone out after work a couple of nights this week. Javy falls in love with just about everyone, so Bradley’s no more inclined to believe that this girl’s the one more so than any of the others that he has heard about.
He stops listening too much after that. He glances down at his watch, finding the small hand much closer to where he would like it to be. Hangman and Coyote roar with laughter at something that Bradley missed the punch line of. He glances up in time to see the blinds to your office close.
“You coming to meet Coyote’s future wife tonight, Bradshaw?” Jake asks.
Bradley tears his eyes away from the window and shakes his head. His lip quirks slightly.
“Can’t. Busy.”
Jake and Coyote stop walking as Bradley continues ahead.
“It can’t be Halo.” Jake realises. Coyote frowns and turns his head.
“She never comes out either. They’re both always missing.” He reasons.
Jake watches Bradley disappear inside and shakes his head softly.
“If it was Halo, we’d know about it by now,” Jake explains. He turns his head towards Coyote, “Think about it. Why hasn’t she spent a single night at our place.”
Bradley sucks in a sharp breath as a hand curls into his t-shirt and tugs him into a hard left. His chest hits yours and his eyes blow wide open.
Your fingers curl around the handle to a supply closet and Bradley lets you tug him forwards into it. You know that the door to this supply closet sits in the blank spot of the security cameras.
“Hyde… wha- you said-“
“Shut up.”
Bradley complies wordlessly as your mouth presses into his neck. His hand reaches out behind him, fumbling for a lock. There isn’t one. Well, there is. But it would require a key that he presumes only a janitor might possess. He hesitates. This seems like a bad idea. But it’s you. You wouldn’t jeopardise your own career, so Bradley trusts that his is safe too.
He checks down at his watch, illuminated solely by the thin strip of light spilling in from under the door. It’s too dark to see the hands but Bradley knows what the time is.
“I thought I was coming over later.” Bradley breathes out, closing his eyes and leaning his head back as you suck soft, warm kisses into his throat.
Your hands tug at the arms of his flightsuit, untying them from around his waist.
“Change of plans.” You murmur. He doesn’t dare argue. He doesn’t get a chance to as you sink to your knees in front of him. His hand slides knowingly into your hair as you tug at the zipper of his flightsuit, letting it fall to pool around his ankles.
You stroke him over his boxers with a gentle touch as you press your mouth to his thigh with a firmer approach. Bradley’s adam’s apple bobs in his throat as your teeth graze the inside of his leg, only to be replaced with a soft kiss seconds later.
“S-Shit.” He whispers into the dark.
His head leans back against the shelving unit behind him as you tug his boxers down his leg.
This is insane. You realise that as he’s got his fingers curled so tight around the edge of the shelving unit that it almost shivers with him. You’re sucking off one of your students in a supply closet. All to prove a point. Just to prove a point to yourself.
Beau thinks that you’re his. He thinks that by being mean, by showing you how hard that he can make things, he’ll drive you back into his arms. He’s always so fucking certain. He’s wrong.
You push your fingertips under the black t-shirt he always wears under his flightsuit and press your palm flat against his stomach. It’s almost shameful to admit that the way you can feel those muscles that he works so hard for trembling under your fingertips as nose brushes the hair at his pelvis makes you want to fuck him right here in this closet.
But that isn’t part of the plan.
Bradley grunts, choking back a moan that leaves behind a soft whimper as he spills into your mouth. His back his the wall behind him. His eyes are shut. He’s panting. He blinks. He can barely see your face in the dark but he looks down anyway. His heart thunders in his chest as he finally understands what Coyote has been talking about.
That rush. The knowledge that you’re in love with someone without even knowing them. The back of Bradley’s head swings into the filing cabinet behind him as he lets out a heavy breath. You push yourself up from your knees. Bradley tugs his boxers and flightsuit back up, he blinks as he wriggles back into them.
“So, I’ll see you later?” Bradley breathes.
“No. No.” You press a finger into his chest. Bradley nods. “I have my kids tonight. I’ll text you.”
Bradley catches your wrist. His lips quirk slightly as he releases you and smooths down your hair slightly.
“Hey, Hyde - I was thinking,” His hands slide from your hair to hold your face in his hands. You stiffen at the motion. “Maybe we could… do something together next week. Like - dinner?”
Your lips part.
You push away from him.
“Oh my god.” You shake your head quickly. Your Friday just got worse. “Bradley, I am not your girlfriend. You know that, right?”
He grins as he zips his flightsuit up to his chest, “Keep on doing that and I’d be happy to make you my wife.”
“Christ.” Your hand shakes as you twist the door handle and let yourself out. Bradley opens his mouth and moves to follow, then freezes as the door slams behind you.
Bradley slips out right after you do. You’re still standing there. Feeling sick.
“Hey, it was a joke.” He frowns. You can tell that you’ve hurt his feelings by slamming the door in his face. He hurt yours by making that stupid joke.
You round on him. Bradley straightens up. It’s times like these that he’s reminded why you’re the superior officer.
“Commander.” Heavy boots along the hall. Bradley straightens even further instinctively.
Your jaw clenches. You turn your head away from Bradley and towards your husband.
Beau walks over and takes your wrist in that stupid oafish hand of his. Bradley’s eyes fall down to watch over the exchange. The way that Beau’s fingers press into your skin.
It’s one thing to know that the two of you were married, but it’s another for Bradley to watch him touch you.
Beau turns your hand and presses a stuffed animal into your grasp. It’s a soft white bunny rabbit. Bradley looks it over. It’s in both your hand and his hand simultaneously for just a second. It’s a reminder of everything you’ve shared with him.
“Taylor left this at my place. She’s going to want it tonight.” There’s a coldness in the way that Beau speaks to you. Bradley’s brows furrow slightly as he lifts his gaze to look at the Admiral.
You’re too busy seething. Of course he had to come and rub your nose in the fact that he still believes he’s winning. You’re soothed slightly by the fact he has no idea he’s standing less than a foot away from the man you just blew.
Bradley’s gaze flickers between you and your husband. Beau’s clearly furious. You’re better at hiding it, but Bradley knows that you are too.
His heart sinks to rest in his stomach.
Bradley’s silent for the rest of the exchange. You don’t grace him by looking him in the eye until your husband is gone. You’re confused to find him looking saddened by what he just saw.
“Did you do that to get back at him?” Bradley asks softly.
Maybe it’s the puppy-dog eyes, but his words make you feel like you’ve just burst his happy little bubble. You frown.
Bradley’s brows furrow. You know that guilt feels like pulling seven g’s. You don’t know what to say to him. He puts his hands up in defence as he takes a step back.
“Look, if this isn’t over between the two of you—“
“It’s over.” You answer firmly.
Bradley lifts his head. He squares his shoulders and meets your gaze. You know that you’ve hurt him.
“So let me take you on a date.”
You sigh and lift your hand up to pinch at the bridge of your nose, “Dammit, Bradley…”
“If it’s over between you and him then why not?”
You screw your eyes shut and wish that he would just disappear. That he and Beau would just stop fucking up your afternoon. It’s like they worked together on it.
“Use your brain, Lieutenant.” You answer bitingly. Rooster frowns. You turn away from him. “My place. Tomorrow — after noon.”
Bradley squints as he watches you walk away from him. He doesn’t like the way that sounded. Like an order.
He presses his tongue to his cheek and heads for the locker rooms. Usually he’s pretty zen after a blow job — that goes to show how upset he is right now.
“Bradshaw.” Jake smiles as Rooster rounds the corner. “Where’d you go?”
“My plans got cancelled,” Bradley shrugs as he pulls open his locker. “Mind if I come out with you guys tonight?”

Character Analysis from R/RWBY: Cinder Fall, borne of abuse and neglect, molded by society.
It should be noted that for all her hatred of Atlas, Cinder sure is alot like an Atlesian herself That whole "I'm the only one that mattered and everyone else are irrelevant" mindset as well as the "Don't think, obey" thing she has for Emerald and Mercury...
Plus her ego which is very Atlesian-brand (which Adam also has, btw).
Kind of like Ironwood under the influence of Mettle and his cultivating the Ace-Ops to obey orders no matter what.
It's not uncommon for people that suffer in a particular way to do the same to others, either out of a sense of entitlement or retribution. All too often someone is hurt, or raised in a certain environment or under circumstances and continue the cycle of abuse.
People can often become what they hate most, when they care more about getting even or getting what they feel they are owed. Maybe because it's all they know, maybe because they feel like if they had to suffer, others should too. It's no excuse, but people have their reasons.
This can be for any number of reasons, but in Cinder's case I think it's primarily three reasons:
She does it to others so it can't happen to her again. This reasoning operates under the idea that somebody has to be on top & doing the abusing; if she's not on top, she’s at the bottom. Obviously this logic is flawed as we've already seen.
She thinks it's "her turn," she's suffered so it's about time she got the chance to do the same things that happened to her to somebody else. This is a common sentiment among a particular breed of bad parent, that "can't wait to have kids, so they can discipline them, like they were growing up."
She thinks acting this way is just how the world works, and it'll get her what she wants. Cinder is largely motivated by fear; she never wants to be who she used to be (in her own mind): weak, scared, and under somebody’s control. This is why she's power hungry; And her upbringing in Atlas, a deeply elitist and hierarchical society, instilled a belief that there always needs to be people at the bottom being crushed under boot. And power and control are how you prevent being those people.
The power and control to accomplish goals is something we also see in Ironwood. Although I'd point out is that Ironwood's belief in Might makes Right, and his need for control are personal traits that resulted from his position, circumstance & personality, not Mettle. Mettle's canonicity being dubious aside, it can't force Ironwood to do anything he doesn't want to do, so it still ultimately comes down to personal discretion. And Ironwood's ideology, and choices are moreso indicative of Atlas's fundamental flaws as a society & culture. Which is also put on full display via Cinder's backstory & character.
Thought it should be mentioned? Hypocrisy is a major component of RWBY antagonists much like also Adam, Salem, Roman, Ironwood and even Raven, save for Tyrian who knows exactly what he's doing and doesn't make any pretense or lie about his personality and goals.
Its why people like Tyrian.  He doesn't hide who and what he is. He knows he's a monster and he full on embraces it.
Cinder is a product of her upbringing. She was raised in Atlas as a slave of the atlesian elite.
And the next person we see who is "raising" her or is simply a mentor is Salem herself. Salem who describes herself like a God. And Salem is who Cinder strives to be.
She wants to be powerful, bc she believes that if she's all powerful no one can hurt again. And bc of this she acts like the 2 people who have/had power over her. The madam and Salem.
I think that’s kinda the whole point of her. She wants to become them. Cinder doesn’t hate that there is a massive power imbalance in society. She simply wants to be on the nicer side of that imbalance. That’s why she doesn’t fight like a freedom fighter or equalizer.
Cinder feels she is entitled to this power because of her suffering and she has “earned” it all. While those who were born there didn’t deserve there power. Cinder basically copes with her past through arrogance and entitlement. It’s why she believe in destiny. She believes what happened to her in her past was destiny and that past destined her for being the most powerful.
Obviously that made her extremely self centered. As she can only ever see her suffering. Which is why she is remorseless. This is also what made her a pretty bad manipulator and what Salem was kinda talking about in volume 5. Before volume 8 cinder could only really control people through force and power. Which is how she controlled the white fang and torchwick. This obviously did not work on neo or watts. She wasn’t even able to keep mercury or emerald on her side.
It’s pretty clear cinder didn’t even see why emerald joined her(she wanted a family). And we did see that cinder didn’t hesitate to threaten them( ie “don’t think, obey”). Had cinder been able to understand the two better she may have been able to keep them along for much longer(act as that family to emerald even if it’s just an act). Mercury is a bit different in that his exact reasons for joining her weren’t clear. But we can see that he ended up leaving her for Salem. My theory is he likely didn’t see cinder as someone he could rely on to protect him in Salems court. As when mercury was under her. His standing in Salems eyes was dependent on cinder actions and as we saw cinders selfishness put her in terrible terms with Salem at times. We clearly saw in volume 6 mercury was terrified of Salem.
Cinder did improve in volume 8 a bit with this. We saw that she actually pretended to prioritize the needs of neo and watts before hers. Which is what made her plan go pretty smoothly. Everyone was motivated to do there part to get something they wanted. This what Salem was talking about in v5 about the usefulness of others. Ofc at her core cinders mindset didn’t really change as in she prioritized herself over everyone which is why she betrayed both of them. The only person she really prioritized over herself was Salem since she gave up her pursuit of power for the relics but this is also likely because she felt this was essential to her survival. So in the end her perspective changed a bit but not much else.

What do you think about a Mai and Zuko’s relationship?
I think my is wonderful girl, maybe in spite of or maybe even because of her cool and distant personality. I have no reason to doubt that her love for my nephew is truly genuine and great. Plus, she truly is beautiful and attractive and a good catch. I would have been smitten by her myself if I was Zuko's age. She actually reminds me of someone I met while I travelled the world with him... Though, talking about our similar tastes makes Zuko a bit uncomfortable so I refrain from it in his presence.
But even more importantly I will never forget nor cease to be thankful to Mai for saving Zuko's life at the risk of her own. That's a debt that can never be fully repaid.
However, there lies an unfortunate issue. Feeling that something really big is owed can put a strain on a relationship, even create an imbalance of power, and the gods know how much my family has struggled with properly handling power, whether it was by having or not having it.
Plus I've witnessed a conflict in their priorities. Mai naturally wants her lover to make her his number one in life but when all is said and done Zuko, as Fire Lord, needs to put his nation first. Sometimes that even requires keeping secrets.
That's why their relationship turned into this on again and off again thing. But they always found each other again no matter what happened or how long they were apart. If that's not destiny I don't know what is.
Well, maybe Mai conceiving Izumi was the ultimate thing. I know parents sticking together just because they have a child can turn out really badly but I have no doubt in Zuko's and Mai's sincerity. It doesn't HAVE to turn bad and I'm sure they will figure out how to work together. My nephew famously never gives up and Mai is tenacious too and they have my full support.
That, and Azula has no compunction about getting herself arrested again if that means ensuring her brother and friend stay together so please don't even think about using anything I just said to come between them.

Anon wrote: Hello, so i want to ask you something. I have been in a 'friendship' with one of my friend. She have lots of problem like trust issue, abandon issue, father and mother issue, also feel related to yanderes and etc. There times I try to ask her to go to a pyschiatrist and a therapist but she reject it cause of her not wanting to talk to a stranger and tell them about her problem but ya.
Everytime she vent it always drains me inside like at the first time she vent I try helping her but she always denies ir but now its been months she been venting to me and everytime i see her chat I always get drained. Idk what to do tbh, like im glad she feel comfortable to me to open up her problem but it also makes me guilty that i feel drained cause of her venting to me. I give her advice, she reject it. She has said that she knows her way of thinking is bad but she also says she doesnt want to change her mindset. Tbh ya i try my best to listen to her but its damn hard to do. Both of us is still young and I tbh dont know what to do anymore.
Soo I want to ask what should I do, I'm glad she's comfortable to open up but i felt guilty that I'm mentally tired hearing her. Im also curious on have you experienced like this ? And also I like to apologize if this doesnt make sense. Thank you in advance ^^
------------------------
Question for reflection: Do you genuinely believe that you are an equal member of a relationship? Are your needs, preferences, and wants just as important as the other person's? If you answer 'yes' to these questions, then your beliefs should inform your decisions, so where is the proof of your principles? What actions have you taken to assert your needs, preferences, and wants?
If you say "nothing" (so far) because you feared creating a conflict and/or hurting your friend, then it is a lie that you see and treat yourself as an equal member of the relationship. Her behavior is having a harmful effect on you and has been for awhile, but you kept putting yourself aside to satisfy her needs?
If you wait until you are close to "fed up" before doing anything, how do you think the communication will go, considering the pent up resentment/anger you then harbor? You are more likely to play a "blame game", which will make it very difficult for the both of you to discuss and negotiate calmly and maturely. This is why it is of the utmost importance that you learn to confront relationship problems as soon as possible. The longer you leave them, the more they fester. A lot of relationships break up for seemingly trivial reasons because those "trivial" things went unaddressed and became unnecessarily severe problems.
Healthy relationships need to have a sense of equal give-and-take. When your needs go unsatisfied, your preferences dishonored, and/or your desires dismissed, it is incumbent upon you to speak up and advocate for yourself, in order to right the imbalance. Ideally, this should be done through skillful communication, please consult the article about Communicating Through Conflict.
Two people are bound to run into some differences and disagreements at some point. A vital aspect of friendship is a willingness to readjust behavior as necessary to prevent harm and keep the relationship in a healthy space. If you meet someone who's stubbornly unwilling to examine the ways in which they hurt/harm you and refuse to change for the better, they are not your friend and not worth your continued investment of time, feeling, and energy.
It's neither your duty nor your job to be a therapist or a nanny for people. These caregiving tasks do NOT fall under the role of "friend". That said, an important part of friendship is lending each other help and support, but it has to be within reasonable and mutually agreed upon bounds. Psychological problems of the kind you list are serious matters that require specialized expertise to address. You do not have that professional expertise, and even if you did, you do not owe it to a friend to provide it, because there should be a healthy boundary between personal and professional life. Also, without the right expertise in psychology, your "help" has the potential to be harmful rather than helpful, because you don't know what you're doing.
Respect your needs and boundaries, which means you have to be aware of what is/isn't acceptable to you and where you will draw the line to protect your own well-being.
Communicate your needs and boundaries in a respectful, responsible, and matter-of-fact manner, as soon as the problem arises, before negative emotions get the better of you.
Make a reasonable request of people to fulfill your needs and honor your boundaries (out of care/love for you).
The rest is in their hands. You can't control how other people behave or react. All you can do is communicate to the best of your ability and hope that people meet you halfway for reaching a suitable compromise.
Listening to people's problems, empathizing with them, comforting them, helping them, etc, costs you mental energy and brings you emotional hardship. When you are required to control and manage your emotions for the sake of other people's well-being, it is called emotional labor. A friend isn't entitled to your emotional labor nor should they demand it from you; you should choose to give it willingly, out of love and care.
However, you are just one person, with limited energy and capacity to perform emotional labor. Thus, when you have reached your limit, it's up to you to inform people and stop them from violating your personal boundary. Simply convey that, while you value the friendship and are willing to offer what help you can, there is a limit as to how much emotional labor you can perform, and you hope they can care for your well-being in return by not pushing you past your limits.

Ok some time has passed, I’ve seen all the character asks and anon and it’s 3am and this is on my mind so I need to speak my truth on Laura.
So overall, it’s okay to be upset for being second choice, even if she didn’t know that. It’s okay to be upset if your partner is flirting in front of you, or shows too much care in an inappropriate way or whatever. BUT how you act is it’s own thing.
First of all, unless the 3rd person is your friend or family, they don’t really owe you anything. Of course it doesn’t make you a good person to actively go for people in relationships on purpose, but the responsibility not to cheat is on your own partner. Her spiel afterwards is so excessive, cursing out a person that may or may not have feelings for her partner but that has inherently not done anything to you.
I think speaking in that kind of a way is never going to be a good look. Extreme jealousy is extremely unattractive. It’s a normal emotion, sure, but you’re still responsible for how you act even when you’re experiencing intense feelings.
To constantly denigrate a person that may be “looking at your partner a certain way” is a bit terrifying tbh. I know that we know that she is correct in the sense that there is something going on there. But there’s no scenario in which completely loosing your shit and swearing and trashing this person will ever make you look like a mature well adjusted adult in front of your partner. That’s just not a healthy productive way to deal with this.
You are entitled to be upset, but to be so explosive over so little, it’s scary honestly. Imagine a relationship with any kind of power imbalance in which the person with power reacts that way, it would be terrifying wouldn’t it?
So at the core of it, I just think if that’s how you experience jealousy, you should probably work on fixing that. There will always be something that can make you jealous, justified or not, if you look for reasons you can find them, even if they’re only in your head. You can’t act like that and still have people think you’re not being shitty.
Sorry I had a lot to say, night night 🤪✌️
I entirely agree with everything you have said. Laura’s jealousy was toxic, so no wonder Jungkook decided to break up. She clearly needs to work on her jealousy issues before she can commit to a serious relationship because she can’t just control who looks at her partner. As you said, it’s her partner’s responsibility not to cheat on her, but no one can force other people not to look at your partner because you don’t like that they do.
As I said before, she probably has a reason why she gets so jealous, but it still doesn’t justify how she spoke about OC and how she spoke to Jungkook too! He most definitely did the right thing in breaking up with her, even if OC wasn’t in the picture. Because extreme jealousy is unattractive, and not a good thing for a SO to live with. It gets toxic real quick you know?
Never apologize for having a lot to say, I love reading your reviews and comments on the fic it’s always super insightful hahaha night night✨😌

(This is about that one fandom mom post in the Ninjago fandom and if u don’t know what that is, then ignore me lol)
Tldr: I don’t understand “fandom moms” but be careful with anyone on the internet anyways
Okay I was debating on making a post bc I am scared of putting discourse??? On my silly little Ninjago blog but??? Fandom moms are the weirdest discourse I’ve seen in a good while what??
I didn’t know what a fandom mom is and I still don’t really understand and like I don’t think I can judge the situation well at all and I’m just very confused. But all I do know is this.
Any kind of relationship on the internet can be harmful. Any kind of relationship, regardless if it’s online or offline, in general can be harmful. Ofc there’s more risk with online relationships. But even if the status isn’t “fandom mother” and it’s just “friend” that doesn’t make you immune to potential abuse, so all I want to say is that, don’t make yourself unhealthily dependent on anyones affection, in general:
- By this I mean, obv don’t let anyone make you uncomfortable or cross your boundaries just because you like them
- In regards to other discourse or debates, don’t let your opinion be swayed by someone else just because you like them, make your mind up using logic, and you should agree with people because their argument makes sense, not because you’re attached to them. And you shouldn’t side with people if you don’t understand what they’re arguing for, if you don’t have the time to learn their argument then just leave them be and remain neutral or something
- Don’t become dependent on their attention especially if they are just an internet friend. Friends on the internet don’t owe you anything and you don’t owe them anything
- Obviously don’t give anyone your personal details. I don’t think this needs to be said
The issue that I think people have with fandom moms is that people are seeing a sort of power imbalance, and the potential for someone with power to manipulate younger people on here. And like I’d definitely advise people to not let the concept of motherhood to tint the lens of how you view and judge a person, like yknow if they’re doing something wack, don’t excuse it bc they’re your fandom mom or whatever.
My only thing is that, I didn’t know that needed to be said. When I saw the term “fandom mom” I was like “oh so like a mom friend”, and I wasn’t tagged in the post so I have no investment to this whatsoever, but I just assumed people were just going to treat this like a weird role play and no one was actually going to be like “this is my actual mother”. Like I thought this was /j /silly?? Like a silly nickname silly gimmick, none of this power dynamic. And idk, maybe it is.
Apparently fandom moms were already a thing and already controversial and it’s something to do with old people feeling superior and I’m not going to look into too much bc it seems a bit over complicated. I don’t really care if it has something to do with moms or not, I base my own actions and opinions on whether they’re being a dick about it. So like maybe fandom moms have a history of being weird/problematic but I can’t tell whether that’s because people on the internet on average are weird/problematic.
Bottom line is: I don’t understand “fandom moms” but be careful with anyone on the internet anyways

I wrote a whole thing for the first time in ages and it has vanished off the face of the earth, lost in the ether of the internet like it never happened. So I'm going to have to move through that and feel bitter about it for a short while. I go through this process when I get notes on a script. Obviously, it is good to get notes but I have to say goodbye to aspects of a thing that I worked hard on and probably loved a bit. Given time I move through it and oftentimes decide that yes this new version is better and the notes were right and very clever well done note giver.
I think I wrote briefly before about being all at sea with grief of various types, having had my heart broken and my womb taken and hitting two years without dad and all these things lapping up around me all at once.
I was foolish like the flowers.
I've not known betrayal like this before. I keep remembering little snippets of our interactions across the last three months of our relationship where they will have had to lie to my face. Other moments when near strangers tried to tell me something with an unknown code. Someone asked me if I had my suspicions but I didn't, not even a little bit. I trusted them implicitly and was counting down the weeks until I would visit them, spending money I had worked too hard for to make the trip across continents. At the time of writing this I am still struggling to right this financial imbalance. In other words I'm fucking skint and that doesn't feel fair. Not much of this feels fair. They have their reasons, valid, but at my expense.
I don't want to feel that the world or anyone in it owes me anything. When I was younger I would latch onto one friend very intensely and my mum would tell me not to put all my eggs in one basket, but that was my want. I wanted that special person to have them all, to have anything and everything from me. On my knees building a pedestal that they didn't ask for. Part of the reason for this was actually that I was a tiny gay and thought I just wanted to be best friends with these girls. The queer trope of be them/best friend them/ or fuck them. I didn't want to be a lesbian. I wouldn't know that I wasn't one for another decade at least. I gave my all to these friendships and held these people in such high regard that I was always let down one way or another. I created impossible standards for them and couldn't understand why they didn't treat me the way I treated them.
Quick someone tell me about attachment styles.

Hmm, I must admit that I was confused/conflicted about how consensual rhaenyra/criston came off as in 1x04 bc their primary relationship is royal/servant (well, hes a knight, but it still stands). And i really wanted to think about it bc i didnt want to dismiss a case of a man being SAed too quickly, but i also didnt want to confuse a female-gaze sex scene with male-targeted SA
There is a clear power imbalance that was a point in the previous episode, with criston talking about how rhaenyra changed his life and how he owed her everything he had. Under those circumstances, you would be suspicious of any sexual relationship between them. If she instigates something, then he may not be in a position to refuse or else he could lose his position or even his life. The scene highlights him having a moment where he regards his cloak (a symbol of his status as her knight, status that she gave him) before they have sex. Criston is remarkably more somber than she is during the entire encounter.
But, I ultimately feel that his position as a knight of the Kingsguard specifically changes the circumstances of this a lot. Because, yes, he is sworn to obey her. But he’s also sworn to celibacy. And in general, everyone is forbidden from having sex with the princess.
Kingsguard are Kingsguard for life. Up to this point in the timeline, knights of the Kingsguard have only been stripped of their cloak and sent to the Wall bc they broke their vows of celibacy. It isn’t until Joffrey’s rule that a knight was dismissed for any other reason. Kingsguard aren’t stripped of their station for disobeying commands, but they are for having sex. So it seems pretty safe to say that if Criston had wanted to say no, he could have and felt secure in his station and his life.
And what of the emphasis on his cloak? In this context, it’s easier to see that Criston is very aware that he’s breaking his vow of celibacy, that he’s besmirching the name of the Kingsguard. The act of taking off his armor and his white cloak specifically is a physical manifestation of him casting off his station and forsaking his vows to have sex with rhaenyra. He chooses to do it because he wants to, but its a serious thing to him, which is why he handles the cloak so carefully as if to not do even more damage to it and to himself, why he’s so serious in comparison to her smiles and giggles.
There is, however, the conversation to be had about how rhaenyra shouldnt have put him in that position in the first place. As the person with more power and less to lose if theyre found out, it was irresponsible of her. And thats very in line with her character up to this point. This episode especially highlights how rhaenyra is wild and makes bad choices. Some of it stems from just her being her, a dragon stifled by expectation and rules and society. But some of it also stems from how she wasnt raised as the heir because viserys ignored her in favor of some unborn son and how viserys still isnt treating her like the heir because he continues to waver and be manipulated.
Anyway, back to her and criston
In the end, im comfortable with interpreting this as a fully consensual encounter because of the specifics of their situation. Ive seen a few posts about how because it was framed in a way that focused on her and how when she’s on top it almost looks like she’s fucking him, its meant to show us that he’s not feeling pleasure, especially when intercut with viserys and alicent.
But I do think that’s unfair. The entire scene was directed by a woman and definitely used the female gaze. It’s wish fulfillment for straight women. Theres the insinuation that because it wasnt directed in a way that focused on criston’s pleasure that the encounter was inherently imbalanced, that when she was on top he couldnt be enjoying himself because he was the one getting fucked. And I’m uncomfortable with that

Mars Sign: Causes
What sign and the placement of your Mars Sign can indicate what causes you may fight for or feel passionate about.
Mars in Aries will likely fight in the most direct of ways - verbally arguing or standing up for someone, by leading a strike, protest, or revolution, joining the military, or with their fists. Aries tends to fight for themselves or for their values. Likely to value things like freedom, self-expression, and ability to fight for one’s self or go after success. May also be a sucker for the underdog or anyone who shares the same spirit as them.
Mars in Taurus will fight by resisting and standing their ground. Taurus might also fight with their wallet or property, supporting businesses or content they believe in. They tend to fight for wants, comfort, or survival. What stirs up their defenses or passion to fight back is when what they own or what they believed they are owed is threatened. While this may sound entitled this can come from a place of fighting for your worth or fighting for what really is YOURS. They can sympathize or help others fight who find what they own, what they hold onto metaphorically or literally is being threatened.
Mars in Gemini will fight with words! 🗣 A debater, arguer, yeller, persuader, lawyer. What gets them in the mood to fight? A lot. Mars in Gemini is not a sensitive position but they are coming from an intellectual place and with a mind ready to learn but also decide and act. With every new piece of information can their temper rage or subside. It is the meaning behind something that angers them. A lack of freedom to learn, express, have your own thoughts and make your own conclusions will truly be their heated fuel.
Mars in Cancer fights in the emotional realm or subtly in the background. This can mean manipulation, passive aggression, or the cold shoulder but it can also mean empowering and nurturing the right people, using intuition to avoid or take action, and making connections with others to change their hearts. They may be one who fights with their wallet via donations or supporting a certain business. They tend to fight for those they see as vulnerable. Sympathizes with strong feminine traits or qualities especially around motherhood and children.
Mars in Leo fights with courage. This can mean standing up or speaking up when no one else will or when they are afraid. Going against the norm, facing fears, risking it all. They tend to sympathize or fight for those who’s power is taken away or who’s voice is oppressed. It is power imbalances or corruption that catches their attention and makes them ready to fight or work.
Mars in Virgo fights with organization, not missing any important details, through investigative work, concrete plans and structure, and spreading the word. They are a campaigner, the spy, the reporter. What will get them to join the fight? Something that hurts people’s ability to provide or care for themselves and others may get them passionate. Anything that causes disorder or chaos can get under their skin. They may fight for those who are sick, who cannot be independent or work, and any person or group that may seem helpless. *I should note Virgo is associated with the military as in “serving their country” and may fight in this way.
Mars in Libra fights by trying to make peace or serving justice. This can be quite broad and subjective for a sign famous for objectivity. The unfairness and injustices in the world are what they fight for. You may find them protesting or being part of activist movements for social change. They can be passionate about criminal justice and laws. Their blood boils for those who are unfairly imprisoned or the opposite when those they believe are criminals get off free. This placement which is famous for being the mediator or pacifist on the sidelines can actually be found at the center of many movements and opinions about government and law.
Mars in Scorpio fights behind the scenes but with the passion and smarts of a super villain or vigilante. In fact becoming a vigilante might be one of the ways they fight for a cause. Mars in Scorpio pulls strings, influences other’s feelings, recruits strategically and charismatically, and takes action in their daily life to make a change. Who do they fight for? Typically those they view as losing their empowerment or who’s very souls are threatened. When personal liberty and human rights are at risk. When your own autonomy, personal power, and being is threatened.
Mars in Sagittarius fights with knowledge, teaching/enlightening, and storytelling. They are many times on the frontlines of clearing up misinformation or educating others whether it be through journalism, blogging, or by being an expert in a field. Sometimes however they could also promote misinformation depending on what they are fighting for and who they are as a person. Some can have a fiery temper and loud voice to help them in their purpose. They have a lot of energy and spark to put towards a fight or cause. They tend to root for the underdog, for the ignored, and the misunderstood. They have a rebellious side to them and sometimes may join a fight because it is part of the minority.
Mars in Capricorn fights with laws, business, money, voting, and owning. They fight in the most practical or physical of ways. They put their money where their mouth is. They are highly strategic and realistic in how they join or be part of a cause. Mars in Capricorn can be hesitant to join a fight/cause. Capricorn the sign itself is highly selective, cautious, and associated with strong self-preservation. They won’t join a fight/cause unless they know they can win or make a change. But what are they willing to fight for? Anything that is greatly impactful on society itself. Justice, order, higher standards of living, and economics tend to be causes that might interest them. Causes that help a society function more harmoniously and to prosper is what they likely believe in.
Mars in Aquarius fights with protest, activism, and volunteering! They sympathize with disenfranchised groups and anyone who’s freedom of speech or freedom to be themselves is threatened. Mars in Aquarius tends to fight for groups of people, the collective. The larger the scale the more they may pay attention. Global issues may capture their passion. Their rebellious side can have them joining fringe groups, take on radical beliefs, or be part of a movement because it is against the mainstream.
Mars in Pisces fights with guilt, manipulation, and illusions. All of this has a negative connotation but it can be a powerful tool even when fighting for something “good”. This is the filmmaker, artist, poet who inspires others through their art. They can be the dark horse when all else fails to capture hearts and minds. Mars in Pisces also fights by being the healer, the safe space, the listener. They sympathize with anyone or any group that appears to be hurting. They can feel sympathetic or passionate about many causes and different groups of people or animals. Any cause or story of a cause that pulls at the heart they will join or feel for.
