SUMMARY: The Davises are expecting a baby, which turns out to be a monster with a nasty habit of killing people whenever it is scared. And it is easily scared.
Mod Sus: Seeing the differences between 70s and 2000s remake trailers is such a cultural difference teller it's fascinating.

Go n' Lose Me
We were in exactly this same spot a few weeks ago, or has it been months… but instead of Let Me Go, Rock n' Roll (1974), Rockin' in the USA (1977) was sitting in the dock next to Nothin' to Lose (1974). Or should I say on the grill?
At the time, it feels like years ago, I didn't miss the opportunity to make an illustrious comparison between two burgers of different quality levels and those two songs, pointing out that both might make your mouth water, but only one of them would guarantee an extra hour on the john. That may have been a bit mean, but not entirely unjustified.
And once again, that says it all, except that in this case I consider both songs to be equally good, and that it is most probably because of this great similarity between the rhythm sections of Nothin' to Lose and Let Me Go, Rock n' Roll that the latter can be found on Kiss' very first demo (1973), but one searches in vain for it on the debut album (1974), but Nothin' to Lose has always been inextricably linked with it. Whether this was decided by the record company, the production team, or even the band itself, the music doesn't want to tell me.
But just imagine if it had gone on like that. It would have been too funny if Gene had slapped out Rockin' in the USA for Dressed to Kill (1975) instead of Alive II's (1977) Side 4, but the good little Gene on one shoulder probably kindly talked him out of it. I guess I would have done the same in his place.
If I had been the good little Gene.
And the good little Roland on my shoulder has highlighted the links for you:
