There’s absolutely no way it would happen, but you know what would be absolutely hilarious?

Picture the funeral. Maarva surrounded by all of her and Cassian’s old friends. Cinta’s on watch. Vel arrives to assist. Luthen shows up because he just can’t let it go. The ISB is there. Dedra comes in to supervise. They bring Bix along just in case. Syril kriffing Karn is there, because why the kriff not.

Everyone is there, converging on Ferrix, desperate to find Cassian Andor...

Who decides, well, nothing he can do now, and kriffs off to the other side of the galaxy.

The ISB spot Luthen and the Rebels fight back and it’s open revolt on the streets of Ferrix with all three sides (Imperial, Rebel, random Ferrix citizens) screaming “WHERE IS CASSIAN ANDOR?” at each other across the battlefield...

...and meanwhile Cassian is listening to Nemix’s manifesto and making toasts in Maarva’s honor in some dive bar in the Outer Rim, blissfully unaware that his simple existence is causing more problems than the ISB or Rebels have faced in years.

You have a band that plays incredible music, and instead of being normal about that, and appreciating THE MUSIC, you sexualize the fuck out of Noah until he's uncomfortable and is asking to stop?

Then, when V.A.N comes out, you spew vitrol because Noah isn't the one singing. You hate on Poppy, who is so fucking talented, and act so entitled to Noah's voice, like it's your property. Disgusting.

Then, to top it off, when they play live, and NOAH COVERS HIS FACE (hmm, I wonder why he did that, its a fucking mystery!) Y'all turn around and CONTINUE to sexualize him, despite his obvious and vocal discomfort.

Let me get this super clear. You do not own him! He is not your property, and you are not entitled to his face, or his voice, or this band's music. You are going to make this poor man quit because you act like horny children. Stop it. It's disgusting and shallow, and I am tired of seeing it.

Learn how to spot and dismantle your parasocial relationships, or we ARE going to lose this band, and it will be your fault. The same shit is happening with Sleep Token, and I don't want to lose something important to me because y'all don't know how to fucking act like adults.

every time a new SA allegation of a favored celeb arises, i'm reminded of the absolutely soul-crushing experience of the depp/heard trial in which i learned that dozens of ppl i loved + respected + trusted were also willing to engage in the basest form of misogyny if the woman Seemed Crazy Enough. there was a horrifying 2ish weeks on this website + much longer irl where i genuinely felt unsafe voicing my discomfort as i relived something eerily reminiscent of the aftermath of my own assaults playing out on screen, commented on by true crime youtubers like it was a red sox game.

it happens time + time again with every new allegation + it's truly the most agonizing + exhausting part of being a survivor. i am begging you all to consider that survivors are watching you engage with this stuff like theater + it erodes our trust in all of you + compounds our grief.

See how in 2023 almost all of the reblogs come from the OP, from their few hours/days in the tag search. Meanwhile in 2014 the % of reblogs from OP is insignificant, because most of the reblogs come from the reblogs within the fandom, within the micro-communities formed there. You didn't need to rely on tags, or search, or being featured. Because the community took care of you, made sure to pass the work between themselves and onto their blog and exposed their followers to it. It kept works alive for years.

It's not JUST the reblog/like ratio that causing this issue, it's the type of interaction people have. They're content with scrolling and liking the search engine, instead of actually having a reblogging relationship with other blogs in their community.

Anyways, if you want to see more content you like, the only true way to make it happen is to reblog it. Likes do not forward content in no way but making OP feel nice. Reblogs on the other hand make content eternal. They make it relevant, they make it exist outside of a fickle tumblr search that hardly works on the best of days.

If you want more of something, reblog it.
