Fuck it, posting my smg4/puzzlevision aus

Ok, so we got the Eaten Stars au

Basically, instead of the stars on Mr. Puzzles' five star necklace breaking, they scattered, and Mario are them, meaning Mr. Puzzles (with a lot of brain damage and memory loss because the stars also acted as an external drive of sorts) has to make a truce with the smg4 crew and get on their good side to fix it and get his memories back. Also Mr. Puzzles and Mario swap bodies for a bit, which leads to the other version of this au

Where they stay body swapped, and now smg3 and Mario, in Mr. Puzzles' body, have to stop Mr. Puzzles in Mario's body

Ok, next we got the remote au, spoilers for the YouTube arc if you haven't watched it yet btw

basically, in this au, Mr. Puzzles gets the YouTube remote, fucking kills Susan, not just delete her like smg3 did, but kills her so she can't come back, then he made peace with the smg4 crew, but the remote is driving him a little crazy and now he's in charge of youtube since susan is out of the picure. Basically our man is burnt out and easily bored.

And of course, there's a love bug au

It goes pretty normally for a love bug au, person, in this case Mr. Puzzles, gets bitten by a love bug, they fall in love with someone, typically the enemy, in this case Mario specifically cause I want him to suffer. After being defeated by the smg4 crew, he lands in a forest, getting bitten by a love bug, then wandering, looking for whatever is now missing, and then he finds it, on the screens of a TV store, there it is, the missing part is Mario. But of course, Mr. Puzzles still has his autonomy so he hides in his now abandoned TV station until that feeling goes away, repressing any remotely loving thoughts. But repressing them makes them worse, thoughts turn into urges, romantic turns into something more than that, and by then, he can't resist the temptation. He manages to get to the fairgrounds, where he's seen and SHOT because of the monstrous transformation from the love bug venom. But, he's not dead, he wakes up in a room of smg4's castle, and is helped by someone, mainly given food by them, he doesn't find out who that person is until his memories start to slip from him, where he grabs the person's hand, covered by a glove with a black cuff and the Roman numeral for 3 on the back, he's already forgotten who had gloves like those. Eventually, the person helping Mr. Puzzles also gives him a plushie, one that looks familiar, it's the smg3 plushie, the person helping him is smg3.

Elvis was sued for... being friendly (June 19th, 1956).

Okay, maybe too friendly? Judge for yourselves. That's a funny story! Just... unbelievable!

At the top is page 9 from "Elvis Presley Speaks!" magazine.

The first picture was taken June 19, 1956. That day is full of controversy. Beginning for Elvis attending the “colored night” black-only event at the Memphis Fairgrounds amusement park that evening, but that's a different story (another awesome one, btw!).

Back to the focus point here, that day Elvis was resting at his home (1034, Audubon Drive, Memphis, Tennessee), had just done a local radio show and then went to the Memphis Fairgrounds Amusement Park with his then girlfriend, Barbara Hearn, and some friends. He was being followed around/accompanied by photographer Robert Williams of the Memphis Commercial Appeal and columnist Robert Johnson. The pictures below show Elvis with Barbara at Audubon Drive and in the second one they are at the parking lot of the Memphis Fairgrounds, inside Elvis' car, that very day.

After the Fairgrounds, Elvis, Barbara, other friends, photographer Robert Williams and columnist Robert Johnson. went into the Gridiron Restaurant (Memphis, TN), and there something bizarre, depending on the point of view, happened.

The pictures were published in the fan magazine "Elvis Presley Speaks!". Those pictures show the star laying his head on Robbie's shoulder and eating a burger next to her, while Barbara Hearn, his girlfriend, looks on. It looks harmless, right? But there's more to it. Maybe it can explain why Elvis was sued after all. Fortunately, we have a story about how that meeting happened. Columnist Robert Johnson recalled:

"Elvis spoke to her pleasantly as he entered and said something like, ‘How are you? I haven’t seen you in a long time.’ The girl didn’t say anything. Elvis seemed to be trying to be friendly. He was just teasing and having fun. He opened her purse, looking at her teasingly out of the corner of his eye, but snapped it back shut and put it on the counter (maybe purse-peeking moment is the picture below). He took a nibble of her sandwich and a sip of her milk. That was all. She still did not respond and Elvis laid his head on her shoulder as if to say, ‘Come on, let’s be friends.’ He was just acting in a boyish kind of way.”

Robbie Moore had remembered the event very differently. She certainly did not look very happy in the pictures about what was happening. It seems she was not asked permission to be photographed – and she was even annoyed about the sandwich.

The thing is, two months later, around September 1956, Elvis received a notification that he was going to be sued for $42,500 (around $415,000 in today's money) for invasion of privacy, and assault and battery. The case was settled out of court for $5,500 and widely covered in the press.

When the story went public Elvis said that they had known each other for some years and he had "no idea she would object to the picture." According to the account of that day Robbie gave to the Press-Scimitar, she had never met Elvis before their encounter in the Gridiron.

That's it! Elvis may have learned a lesson from that day, but the whole thing is just SO funny to me! Elvis was so innocent back then, so boyish, at ease. He was very much like an angel, or something close to one.

On Robbie Williams' defense (just because I believe everybody has their own accounts and individuals way of thinking and feeling and this needs to be put to consideration and be respected), even tho she sound like a cranky person, a real Grinch, and in some way opportunist, she was in her rights. Maybe she just didn't like being touched, having her food eaten or having her personal things being rummage by anyone without her permission (no matter who it was or if she knew that person or not), specially when she - not verbally but physically for sure - had shown very clearly (just look at the pictures, imagine her whole vibe that day!) how uncomfortable she was with Elvis' closeness to her.

Poor boy, EP. Learning how people can be... difficult sometimes.

That story reminded me a quote, something under the lines: Be a nice person, even if people don't act the same to you. I guess EP knew plenty about that. He stopped once he got into his early 20s, but considered killing reader off because they already fit the blueprint.

He once tried to get a job at a college (LONG before reader was in the picture) but was rejected. Because he was 19 and literally had no experience at all

Big fan of camera teddys. Big fan of winning reader stuff at the fairgrounds, he loves winning the biggest thing there and just filling up their room with toys. He only takes them away as punishment, but he never actually destroys any of them, despite what he says.

On good days reader is allowed to go down to the floor below their apartment and look around, but there's one apartment they can't get into no matter what🫶 I wonder what's in there!

Stranger Things Fic Recommendations

These last few months I've been reading a LOT of ST fan fiction and just wanted to spread word on some of my all-time favorite fics. Most are primarily steddie, but what can I say? I'm a sucker for those two lol.

Completed Fics:

without a flashlight in the dark by jurassicqueer (kukurosaki)

Takes place in s1 where Steve gets dragged into the Upside Down instead of Barb. By far one of my favorites. 10/10 recommend. It's a completed work with a little over 8,000 words and I wish I could read it for the first time again and again. Beautiful!

flight risk by Ayes, itskleo

This is probably one of the most popular ones on my list, but if you haven't read it yet, please, please, please check it out! The writing is phenomenal and these guys really know how to write a story (also the art that accompanies each chapter is just too freaking good). I've also been reading However Wild by them and it's really good as well but I digress. Steve is famous rockstar Eddie Munson's bodyguard and no matter how hard Eddie tries to shake Steve, he just can't. Then he figures out he doesn't really want to shake him off anymore... and need I say more? Go read it!

Black Out Days (Fairground Nights) by OonionChiver

Oooh the angst in this fic just doesn't stop. I absolutely love it. It's a completed work and a total binge read, though with almost 140,000 words there's no way you can get through it quick enough. It also kind of f'ed me up emotionally and I'm so glad it did. The fic is pretty much steddie to the max and I absolutely loved it. I feel like it's impossible to not want to reread it after finishing btw, so you've been warned in advance lol.

another completed steddie fic at 154,000 words. Steve's car constantly needs fixed due to the Upside Down stuff and Eddie is the one always having to fix it up. Steve's nail bat is an "art project" and that just cracks me up. This fic is a beautiful slow burn with lots of pining. I'm in love.

smoke signal by Adure

Adure is possibly one of the strongest authors I've ever come across on ao3. This one shot was just phenomenal to read. I loved reading outlaw Eddie in this. It was just so well done. aaaahhh, just thank you so much to Adure for this one. I'm forever indebted to you.

New York Hardcore by CaptainHoney

Probably the best Punk Steve fic there is, or at least in my opinion. It's just a 7,418 word one-shot, but that's all you need because it's such a satisfyingly whole read. however... if you do want more (and you will) then you're in luck because it's part of a series including an Eddie POV as well as a sequel one shot.

Jackrabbit Underneath by Grey_Lark

Probably one of my favorite Steve has powers fics. He has empathic powers, but doesn't know it, and that's just funny to me. This one is definitely not steddie and romance is not what the goal of this fic is, but the interactions with Tommy and Carol truly make it chef's kiss. It's incompleted but has over 210,000 words of content to tide you over until the next update. It's probably one of the most beautifully written fics I've ever come across.

Our Love to Admire by hibud

UGGGHHH, I'm literally dying to read more it's so good. Another Steddie fic that takes place after s4. It's one of my favorite tropes: enemies to lovers, but the author provides background as to why they don't get along and I just love it! It's also incomplete, but updates regularly. There's already over 200,000 words of poetic writing to satisfy you until the next update.

If I Ever Leave (You're Coming With Me) by roughvoiced, Sharpbutsoft (BuckysButt)

It's giving The Outsiders kinda vibes and I honestly wish there were more fics like this. I'm also a sucker for blonde Steve, though I had no idea until reading this. Eddie is still wanted for murder, but Steve manages to make them both disappear together on a road trip before Eddie gets arrested. Currently it's only 3 chapters in with 37,599 words, but so much has already happened and I just love it.

Eek! Another Steddie fic where Eddie is involved in all the Upside Down stuff since s1. Currently in the middle of s2 with 110,000 words in. The character development in this story is just top-notch. I swear this couldn't have been done any better. Can't wait for the next chapter.

A hunger games au fanfic with steddie. I don't even know how I managed to come across this, but I'm so glad I did. I just remember going, hey that's a TS lyric so it's gotta be good, and then immediately getting hooked by the storyline. Every chapter leaves me on the edge of my seat. I'm so gone for this one guys. It's a WIP, but there's already over 25,000 words and it's a little over half-way in.

"gems r so hard to get!1!1" the easiest way to get gems is to list shit on the AH. Do you have an overwhelming amount of Baldwin materials from constantly dumping trinkets in his bubbly bathtub? Great, you can go sell those in stacks. Does Crim keep giving you an overwhelming amount of Berserkers or Ambushes? Nice, list those, they tend to sell for decent coin. Brew some Bogsneak eggs and some genes you know people want and list those too! Eggs cost 65kt to brew and are being listed at 220g this very minute!

Max out the fairgrounds if you have time. Find someone on the forums who's willing to trade gems for treasure. Gems may be premium currency but they are not as hard to obtain as you make it out to be.

Btw, all of this advice is coming from someone who's broke and doesn't even employ the same strategies to obtain coin. I just did like five minutes of thinking and came up with multiple ways for y'all to get your damned shinies.

NGL I'm bored so I'll share some random ass story about how I almost slipped off a fair ride cuz why not

South Carolina, Coastal Carolina Fairgrounds, Nov 4 2023

Me and my cousin were walking around the fairgrounds, my older brother was with her girlfriend and didn't want me to go with him so I had no choice but to go with my cousin, he saw the Ring of Fire, my parents also saw it too and started saying, "you should go on that ride" and "we wasted our money to have fun not to stand around", I was hella nervous and scared because I saw how the ride would spin in circular motion, like a yoyo but it would stop at the top for a minute or so and quickly spin again but they forced me and my cousin to go, I hoped that I was below the height limits but I was just the right size if not a bit taller for the limit (which was probably 4'11 or something), we waited our turn and got on, I was nervous, I felt like I wanted to cry and puke but I held back and got excited a bit, thinking it would probably be fun, oh how wrong I was, it was going smoothly until we went upside down, I was slipping off the ride, I may have been the right height but I was just a bit loose on the seat, I thought that would be my fate, falling off a circler roller coaster in the fair in front of random kids, I held onto the seat with my legs and gripping the bars of the harness, closing my eyes while forcing myself to not scream or cry just in case I fell off, after a few cycles of that, me and my cousin were off, my legs were shaking and cramping from them holding onto the bottom of the seat, my whole body felt like giving out but I had to keep walking, to this day, I'M NOT DOING THAT SHIT AGAIN ‼️🗣️🔥

I think a terrible amount of backlash towards SSO is done under the assumption that SSO is a small team that became a large Horse Game Corporation with a monopoly on Horse Games in the last 13 years . This is not true. SSO is still a small game worked on by a small team (there’s frequent posts on their instagram featuring basically the whole team— including like the Singular Lady that models all the horses. Like that’s One Person, Maybe More but Not A Lot More). Just bc it has more polish does not mean it’s suddenly not made by a small team in a likely rented office space who strive to pay their workers fairly. Lots of ppl on Reddit saying shit like “I wonder if the higher-ups at the sso company make it so the designers can’t do whatever they want :(“ There aren’t any higher-ups. It’s important to me that you know that. SSO hiking prices and lowering rewards and releasing smaller and smaller updates CAN be a bit shitty, I’m not saying it’s not. I’m saying there’s nuance that’s lost when a bunch of primarily older teenaged and adult women and queer ppl— (I am aware how insane that sounds but I don’t think many straight cis dudes are rockin with the horse game, and if they are they’re not the majority) —are yelling in Instagram comment sections about how shitty the SSO dev team is because they (checks notes) have to raise the prices of their horse game because they have to maintain a livable wage for themselves, pay rent and utility bills on their machines and spaces that they need to even make the game, and pay for marketing and other expenses, in a global post-Covid hyper-inflated economy. So woe is you that star coins cost more. A 10k star coin gift card used to be 108 dollars around my neck of the woods (America) and now it’s 79.99. That’s less money btw in case you can’t do math because you’re too blinded by your rage over game designers, artists, developers, and coders being paid more than peanuts to update the same fucking game for 13 years WEEKLY. Okay man. Whatever. Old man yelling at cloud over here. A lot of this has been building for months-years now but the Medieval Arena update really like, made it apparent to me for some reason. Maybe it’s cuz I like the update I think it’s cute I think it’s nice and small and quaint. But like— it’s So Obvious that the Medieval Arena and all its little additions and the future ones were made by a small team of people who just, wanted to have a fun Renaissance Fair in their game that they make. Bc yknow, again, they’re updating and making a game that they are paid to update and make because they want to update and make it. Sorry you don’t like shitty jousting mechanics and a cute lil fairground . Do you also hate the sun for shining? Oh you miss the old events? Oh you hate that sso is all corporate and lifeless now? Should we tell everyone? Should we invite Bella Hadid? Have you even once considered that maybe the people who make the game are People making a Game, and they can do whatever they want with their game? You, yes you, can also do whatever you want. You have the hands that create. You don’t get mad at an artist with a canvas and paints for doing art the wrong way, right? i had a wild Culkin-related dream last night. it was so vivid and weird lol, but anyway - on to the dream.

Macauley and Rory were making some appearance at a low-key con of some kind at my state's fairgrounds. i was there wandering around and saw them, and seeing as i'm totally fucking in love with them both (and Kieran, who did not show up), i shyly approached Macauley as he was about to enter a building and told him, "scuse me, sorry - i know this is super cliche, but i think you're absolutely gorgeous and i'm a huge fan."

he sort of nodded and lit a cigarette and thanked me, but then went on a weird tangent about how when he was younger he witness an extremely traumatic child death, and how it still fucks him up. i was like, oh... fuck, man, that's fucked up, i'm sorry.

after that he lightened up and walked me to Rory, and through some weird dream logic we all started holding hands. they decided i could date both of them since they're two of my celebrity hall-passes (this is in fact true) and their partners were down with them occasionally getting side action (this is not true, remember - this is my dream).

so we spent this long lazy day cuddling and holding hands and sharing these chaste little kisses, and Rory let me play with his hair and i buried my nose in it (this is something i do to my husband constantly btw, smelling your lover's hair is intoxicating).

eventually we approached this cave and Macauley smiled at me and kissed me and waved goodbye. it was becoming clear that we were "sharing a dream" together, and once Rory and i reached the end of this cavelike tunnel, we would wake up and basically part forever. Rory and i were holding hands and being extremely affectionate and at the end, he teared up and explained that he'd fallen in love with me in this weird timeless dreamspace and he didn't want to wake up yet. we clutched each other and then i knew i had to go, so i tumbled over this black edge and woke up into an entirely different dream in which i was living in another world in another house in the middle of the night.

super fun! super weird. just as an aside, i'm an extremely vivid and constant dreamer and i might use this blog to not only write porn but record my dreams under a tag (imaginatively named "cuntoid dreams").
