some old doodles i did of if the flim flam brothers were part of the apple family. I'd think they'd be the ones who would be manning the stall in the town center or maybe even still occasionally doing travelling sales to promote the farm.

I stand by the fact that in their first appearance the super speedy cider squeezy wasn't actually a scam, it did work. so in this i think they wouldn't be as scammy as they ended up being by the end of the show. As they're good sales men and when they have a genuine product there no need for them to lie.

exaggerate? yeah ofc, they're still themselves. But i think the contrast between the more humble down to earth fam next to the theatrical, exaggerating twin unicorns is very funny.

How do you guys think Tails reacted when he first learned about the ugly duckling tale?

Like, do you think he learned about it when he was still alone, maybe he heard little drops of the story and got enough of a peek of a book to learn about the ending. And him, as a little four year old kid getting mocked, hit and abused because he was a little diferent was constantly waiting for things to get better, for him to get better? To change and finally be good enough to be loved?

Or do you think Sonic told him about that story, maybe read it to him a little after he met him, when he just got to see him as a little brother?hoping to cheer him up, giving him his own interpretation of the story, perhaps telling him that he doesn’t need to change anything to be loved, because just like the duckling, there was never anything wrong with him, he never had to change who he was, he was always good, the rest of the world just couldn’t see it.

I changed Big Sugar's name to Bright Bramley because I think it sounds better, lol. But here is my version of the Apple Family Tree.  Are you ready for the lore dump, cuz here it comes!

Granny Smith, Winesap and Ashmead are fraternal triplets, (on the note of Winesap, he does have his own family, but I didn’t want to get into that as this is mainly to show Flim and Flam’s relation to the Apples.)

Now to address that topic, Flim and Flam’s mother Pomona met their father Hocus Pocus while passing through Manehattan on a delivery, she became infatuated with him and after an argument with her parents about how Hocus is a con pony, she ran away to live with him on a small farm just outside Manehattan, where Flim and Flam were born and raised.

After she left, Ashmead just kinda stopped talking about her, cutting contact completely, the other Apple family members don’t know about Flim and Flam and no one talks about Pomona’s leaving.

After the incident Flim and Flam move to Sweet Apple Acres while they recover, they eventually start helping out around the farm, and slowly, they become friends with the Apples and they bury the hatchet. AJ, Big Mac and Apple Bloom decide to visit Goldie again and Apple Bloom invites Flim and Flam along because they miss travelling.

When they get there, Goldie takes one look at the brothers and says “you two are the splitting image of your mother”. Flim and Flam ask how she knows their mother and Goldie searches through her records and shows everypony an old photo of Granny Smith, Winesap, Ashmead, Bright Mac and Pomona. She points at Pomona and says “she is your mother, isn’t she? She’s an Apple” Suffice to say, everypony is shocked to hear the news, although Granny reveals she had a sneaking suspicion they were Apples.

After getting over the initial coke high of seeing Vash's old hairstyle again, I was just thinking about like. How cool it is. And how cool it WASN'T in the early 00's when Trigun was like a cool new anime.

Most anime oldies in the West saw Trigun on TV in 2003 or 2004. One of the big guns on Toonami, part of the first big push for anime's popularity in the West. And I'm thinking about how it was seriously, no joke fr social suicide to admit that you knew what it was or liked it.

I was a lil kid in elementary school but I was also on the internet lol and saw terrible hate comments towards anime in general at that time and in particular towards spiky or pointing-straight-up haircuts like this or Goku or Hiei or Vash. IT WAS *AS UNCOOL AS FUCKING POSSIBLE* to like anime in the early 00's.

I can remember a couple kids in middle school laughing their fucking asses off seeing a picture of Vash the Stampede on some kid's binder and all but torturing him daily for it. I just looked away like a coward, pretending I didn't understand what they were talking about, praying to God they wouldn't sense the same thing about me. High schoolers at the time surely got treated worse still. (After Pokemon's insane popularity faded, I was terrified af to talk about any anime except with my very best friend, did not get "brave" about it till like 11th grade when its popularity was a little stronger)

To see such joy and thousands of happy opinions about Vash's old hair, his ridiculous cut that was for bottom-of-the-ladder loser outcast kids that nobody sat with at lunch...makes me feel some type of way. Makes me feel a change I somehow didn't expect in the world. Vash isn't just cool for nerds, he's cool for everyone. He was cool all along, of course. Now everyone sees.

I know it's been the case for a handful of years now, but with Vash's old hair returning to worldwide fan applause, with simply no one left who'd call it stupid or cringe, I'm feeling it more strongly tonight. Nerds are COOL now. Fortnite and Minecraft and My Hero Academia are what kids talk about openly on the playground and nerd merchandise and creative efforts are marketable and shiny and desired by all. It's...so...weird!

Pop culture has done a 180 like Vash's fucking hair in this episode lol great segue goodnight everybody.

The first girl with the red hair and snakebites is Izzy Martinez, as I said, she is obsessed with Hugo Weaving, if the grape barrette wasn’t a subtle indicator. She is also interested in emo stuff, has her own Hugo Weaving fanpage (which I might make when it comes time to market the book), and she is also one of THE snarkiest creatures ever

Roxy Hamilton, the blue haired THING, is what most people these days would call mall-goth, even though that was just a term for “poser” back when the book takes place (Roxy really hates that mall-goth is an insult), her favorite band is Korn, and the only reason she looks that cool is because Izzy gives her the clothes needed to look cool. She LOVES reading comics in her free time, especially JTHM and Hellblazer. In fact, she likes Hellblazer so much that the brain worms from the gas station pizza she ate when she was 12 decided to eat her brain in a way that she becomes John Constantine essentially

Aspen , the ginger girl, is the resident Orlando Bloom/Viggo Mortensen fangirl, because we NEED one. She appears to be an unfriendly bitch who hates everyone at first, unless you get to know her a little better. Or you’re vaguely pretty like Izzy is. Aspen is based on every single friend I had for a few months that then turned into a total bitch, down to the physical appearance. Mainly Freedom, who didn’t actually match Aspen’s appearance as much as some of the others did, but still, she had vaguely sunburnt skin

also every character represents a real person, Izzy is me, Roxy is a slurry of some of my best friends, and we all know who Aspen is based on
