I tend to not listen to a lot of… recent music so I’m sorry lol.

I listen to Firewater a lot. The lead singer, Tod Ashley, is my voiceclaim for my oc Bruce lol… but otherwise fun world punk music and a lot of the music was written in the Bush era and is very anti-presidential which is… topical. Tod A. said he feels like he should make some more music soon lol. Check out “Dead Man’s Boots”, “Hey Clown”, or his covers of “I Often Dream of Trains” or “Paint it Black”.

Autoheart has been rising in the ranks of my Spotify lists. My sister says they’re “too pop-y” for her but I like how they’re not super overproduced and autotuned. I also like how they describe their style as “gay angst” lol. Check out “Lent”, “Anniversary”, “Hungover in the City of Dust”, or “Scorpio”.

Andrew Bird has always been a favorite for me. Dude’s a good singer, instrumentalist, composer, and a professional whistler to boot. His music is such a sensory experience. Check out “Pulaski at Night”, “Roma Fade”, “Archipelago”, or “Plasticities”.

I’ve recently discovered Aphrodite’s Child and have been really enjoying their psychedelic pop rock style. Check out “End of the World”, “Annabella”, or “Good Time So Fine”.

shortly after meeting an adult Empusa pennata like i've always wanted to, i came across this baby one. it was roughly in the same area as the adult, so she could be its mom for all i know. either way this bodes well for my odds of seeing more in a few months

A good bit of trial and error and 4 different colors of wood stain later I have finished the dice box for my Satyr Warlock, Sidereal! (Featuring his weasel familiar, Cinnamon.) The challenge I set for myself was to do wood inlay, and it worked; all the different colored bits on the covers are individual pieces. The dice tray/storage box is held in with pretty strong magnets and it's padded to protect the dice.

This might be the most bespoke thing I've created for myself, but now that I've got the pattern and process down I can definitely make others, too!

ok not to make light but there is something kind of cosmically funny about the fallout of them not being able to afford touring asia bc it'd be too expensive without the ticket sales of hong kong/singapore/indonesia being immediately followed by them having to perform australia on a shoestring budget without any of their set or props, and it going seemingly quite well all things considered

just the 'the show is too expensive to bring' to 'actually turns out all you need is cardboard and a local kmart. checkmate.' is. funny? very them? to have these events happen in this order? so soon after one other?

(i know this is oversimplifying it and promoters are involved and expenses amount to more than just transporting a set and their biggest asian continent audiences are in those three locations and that they put a ton of thought into the set/props. it's still funny though)
