After everything is over and they settled into their new mortal lives, the protagonist asks the princess about her name again. If it felt odd to not have one, or if she wanted to make one for herself now or just be The Princess.

To which she points out that not only does he not have a name either, but not even a title or anything he's mentioned going by!

Which prompts him to stare blankly at the wall for like a solid hour while the voices run amuck in his head, because how did he never realize he didn't have a fucking name??

i hope in-universe stans of the iwtv book love to write really bad armand/reader-insert fics that make daniel increasingly more and more upset. because not only do they not have armand's personality right, daniel himself lived the "falls in love with his rich vampire stalker and ends with a private island" plot in the 80s, so he resents the general sentiment across these fan stories that armand would just do that for anyone. fall for any mortal. no he wouldn't. armand only did that for daniel. and don't even get him started on fics where armand makes someone else their fledgeling. no fucking way! he's leaving hate comments.

I think an underappreciated motive for Bruce / Batman to not murder the Joker after he killed Jason is that it would, in a sense, mean Joker won. Like, yeah the Joker would be dead but he would also be laughing himself silly that he was the one who made the Bat break his code.

Bruce sparing the Joker was not because he didn't love Jason enough to kill him, but because he refused to let the Joker take anything else from him; he took his son, but he would not take his honor, his morality, his code. He would not give Joker the satisfaction.

Yeah! I think, ultimately, DC said it best, -- one death, two deaths, three deaths, -- whatever you pick, everybody loses. It was a no win situation from the start and specifically designed to have no satisfactory ending

i doodled my interpretation of what some newborn hatchlings (egglings?) would look like. each breed starts out life a little differently; some are ready to run and fend for themselves, while some take days just to open their eyes and rely on their parents' care. some have egg teeth, and some need to wait for their wings and crests to unfurl and strengthen.

tbh i feel like madeleine’s character/claudeleine feels a little rushed which disappoints me because the first really fleshed-out iteration of madeleine was one of the things i looked forward to the most about s2. at the same time, i’m pleasantly surprised with how captivating madeleine’s performance is as well as her chemistry with claudia. roxane duran has seriously been knocking it out of the park. common w for the iwtv casting department!

You see next episode Louis is going to find out the extent of Armand's involvement in the trial. If Sam was someone to be genuinely threatening, Armand would've already established that in order to protect his narrative.
