Caine

You’re so small that while Caine finds it adorable, it is also quite the pain when it comes to including you in activities, or just doing anything with him overall.

In the beginning, he’d offered to carry you when he was present, but because it’s Caine it’s not a very fun method of transportation. His whole head kinda makes sitting on it or his shoulders difficult or impossible. And being carried around like a doll isn’t very fun or comfortable—especially with Caine being the type who talks with his hands.

Jax once called you a mouse as an insult and Caine found the name to be cute and fitting—unaware that it was an insult—and took to calling you his little mouse.

It takes awhile but Caine offers to try making you bigger—though the two of you find out later on it’s not permanent. The upside is you can switch between little and big at the price of exhaustion.

He’s in utter awe the first time he gets to fully take you in, all the hard-to-make details finally pop, and wow you are cuter than he thought initially.

Caine likes to make it a fun little game for himself to play, which is essentially just hide and seek except you aren’t intentionally hiding. You aren’t even aware he’s really playing the one-sided game, he just likes to pop in randomly and see if he can find you. You are a slippery little thing able to bypass many of his all-seeing eyes.

When it comes to dates he prefers them with bigger you, not that he dislikes your smaller form but he realizes how impractical it would be to take you out and exhaust you on such a tiny walk when there’s so much more ground to cover. Or risk losing you—which he’s totally never done before by the way…

Being big means he can hold your hand, lead you around, and sit with you, he feels like you are equal this way, when you are tiny he feels like the bad guy with control over everything—even if it technically is.

Just for funsies, Caine has shrunk himself down to your side when it’s just the two of you, it’s a very trippy experience he’ll say that much. Everything really is massive holy heck.

Jax

Jax has without a doubt nearly stepped on you or kicked you too many times to count that he’s taken to shoving you in the pocket of his overalls for safekeeping.

Mind you it wasn’t intentional, you’re just so damn tiny and he’s definitely far from being the shortest in the circus. If anything he does feel genuinely bad, not only did you get the shit hand of being the size of a Barbie doll, but he’s not even the only person who’s nearly trampled you.

You’re basically a glorified purse dog in a sense, it’s easiest when he carries you around and does all the hard work and walking. You are his little purse dog s/o and he’s your glorified taxi driver, the two of you definitely joke about it though so there are no hard feelings.

Jax has found you more than once taking a cat nap when he checks inside his pocket, you’ve even got a little pillow and blanket—where the hell did you get those?

“I feel more like an apartment than a boyfriend.”

“Oo, free rent, great view, and a boyfriend. What a steal.”

You’ve experimented sitting on his shoulders and head before, Jax vetoed your rights to his head after you’d clung to his ear screaming—though to be fair there’s not much to hold on with him moving around. And after nearly wearing you like a necklace as you choked him out, the two of you settled that the pocket was best.

He just moves around too much sometimes for anything but the pocket to be safe, though when it’s just the two of you and things are chill he’ll give you necklace and earring rights again. (something he started calling you with the way you’d cling to him.)

Regardless of the appearance you’ve taken, Jax calls you a doll because well, you’re literally the size of one it’s self-explanatory. He even stopped calling Ragatha “doll face” to avoid any confusion when referring to you.

The whole permanent tiny thing gets on his nerves but he tries not to mention it, it sucks not being able to do stuff normally with you—or hold your hand or you—well in a manner that’s not his pocket. You get the gist.

Since I loved your review on Dark Owl… any chance of a imaginary penny for your thoughts at Zombizou? Aka, the root of the Bustier Salt?

Sorry for not answering the question and it taking too long, I had to finish my school work that was due before spring break and it took awhile to do it. But I’m here now and let’s begin.

Zombizou is a much better episode than Dark Owl when it comes to showing why we should like a character and sympathize with them. Though, just because it does it better doesn’t mean it’s that good. And fun fact, I had to rewatch the episode to get all of my opinions and thoughts on it. And let me tell you, I’m about to spit out some salt on not only Mrs.Bustier but on Chloé.

First, the positives, I love Zombizou’s design, it’s one of the best akuma designs out there! Her boots, the outfit having stitches and patches, the skirts, the knitting pins on her hair, the ripped tights and gloves, and her lipstick! A design with black lipstick just makes it ten times better, especially miraculous, it is just too good! I also think Mrs.Bustier’s tactics that are shown in the episode are really good ideas, the breathing exercises are very smart and helpful, I just wish it got used more. I’m not entirely sure about the compliment thing when she doesn’t reforce to say something nicer, I know you can’t make someone say nicer but Chloé just rose is less annoying that day, not much of an effort to be honest. But that’s just me I guess. Also, I don't know how to feel about forcing two people to hug each other when beforehand, they had an argument, isn’t the smartest idea to me. The gifts we see or hear about in the episode (not going to include Chloé’s since we don’t see it until season 5) do fit the classmates, even if they’re weird, looking at you, Mylene and the braid of hair. Seriously, that was weird right? This isn’t really a positive but I found Kim, Max, Ivan, Alya, Nino, Rose, and Alix getting affected by scenes very noble and kinda sad. It shows how they are worthy of being heroes despite not having powers and how bad this situation is compared to the ones beforehand.

Now, we move on with negatives, the thing most people are curious about. I’m one of those people, who very disagrees with Mme.Bustier and her methods on deali- I mean helping Chloé. Because, I get that we shouldn’t automatically think the worst of people especially if they are kids and there are worse people out there and forgive others but it is so hard when that person barely changes or does anything to make themselves look redeemable and worthy of forgiveness for anyone. Plus, Mme.Bustier doesn’t even try to get Chloé her attitude and help her be a better person, so it’s very difficult to have that mentality especially if she telling marinette that it should be her duty to set a good example for other kids, I don’t think that’s how it works especially if they’re in a middle school through high school. No teacher should expect of a student especially if that student has beef with the student and teacher barely does anything to stop it. And this is where I say that scene of nath hugging out with the person he was about to fight with, can’t always work especially if you tell them to do it. Just because it works at the moment, doesn’t mean the two are just not gonna fight later when you’re not looking, Mme.Bustier is lucky that it did. Sometimes, it doesn’t work especially for kids in the akuma class age group. Also can’t force anyone to change, Mme.Bustier?! You force Ivan to the principal's office despite him trying to explain the situation to you and you didn’t even hear him out and not send Kim as well! You force Marinette to go to the principal’s office if she doesn’t be quiet about finding out that her best friend was suspended and followed through with it anyway! You barely do anything to help your other students to change into better versions of themselves, especially Sabrina, who stuck with being Chloé’s servant at school until season 5! It’s why many people hate your guts. You don’t do anything to help any of your other students because if you did, I bet things would be much better. Like fandom, you have favorites, Mme.Bustier, it is clearly Chloé because you redemption story without putting in the work like most Chloé fans.

Yeah, you hear me! And this episode isn’t me rooting for Chloé being shown to be redeemable. Because what did she do to deserve it, other than save Ladybug when they’re the only ones left and Ladybug could just fix everything at the end. That isn't being redeemable, that just being smart and knowing the right decision because if she didn’t, the world would be doomed! Chloé is just lucky that this is a pg version of zombie apocalypse. Albeit, it is very gross and uncomfortable for others since kissing is involved and a way to get infected. Chloé couldn’t feel bad for anyone that isn’t her teacher, ladybug, and her dad. That isn’t really enough since it’s clear that Mme.Bustier would forgive her, she’s a teacher and ladybug is a superhero so, it would be pretty bad if she didn’t and Mayor bourgeois is her dad, so she would care if he did get infected. But everyone else, to Chloé, they could fuck off. She didn’t feel bad that Sabrina got infected first because of her, showed any sense of care that Adrien got infected too, and just showed annoyance or just shrugged when anyone else got infected, and that’s supposed to help me think she can be redeemed? I'm gonna need more than that and I’ll be honest if people say that this episode is a good start for redeemed Chloé then they’re not wrong but that’s due to potential and rewriting the story not the story we are shown in this episode. I’m not 100% percent against Chloé getting redeemed (I’m like 85% percent against the idea if I’m being honest), Despair Bear did a better job of showing me that but it is hard to get on board with the idea when this episode is brought up more. Also, why did they have to sacrifice themselves for Chloé… when ladybug and chat noir are good enough, if anything it would speed up the process of getting zombizou deakumatized if they just let her get Chloé as soon as possible. Honestly I was rooting for the class to drop her at any given moment because she doesn’t deserve to get a kissou, why should they put their wellbeing for her sake? Not like she is trying to act like she cares about any of them. Also, did no one even check that Nath got infected… or was there with them?

He wasn’t what you expected him to be like…in bed.

You expected him to be selfish, to only care about himself and his needs but that wasn’t the case. He took care of you and your needs first.

Taking you out for a nice dinner, drinks afterwards, and even a little dancing. That was the start of his foreplay, he turned on his charm and flashed that perfect smile at you but you’ve seen it before. You knew his type, very well. He wasn’t the first guy in a fancy suit to get in your pants and he wouldn’t be the last.

There was something about maintaining a relationship that you just couldn’t seem to get a handle on, not that you didn’t eventually want one because you did. But it was easy to drive them away, you were ALWAYS working.

Owning and running your law firm was exhausting but it’s something you’ve wanted since you were young. Your mother had a picture of you when you were about 12 years old, wearing a Harvard sweatshirt, and even at that age you knew you wanted to be a lawyer.

And now you were the top defense attorney in the city and Billy Russo wasn’t the only one with a penthouse. You had one of your own.

You knew you weren’t the only woman he was using his charms on but you let him do it anyway. Why should he get to have all the fun? He should have a taste of his own medicine. Billy thought you were naïve enough to think you were the only woman he was seeing but also didn’t think you were seeing anyone else.

Always getting what you wanted was in your nature, it was in your DNA. You were a woman of status, high class, and appreciated the finer things in life because you worked your ass off for them. A glass of good bourbon after dinner, high end clothes, designer bags and shoes…all bought and paid for by you. What could a man give you that you couldn’t get for yourself?

Nothing.

Sure, the sex was good but you could do that by yourself too. That’s why they make toys. But you preferred sparring with a partner and Billy was good for that. He was really good.

Those long slender fingers of his could make you see stars every time and he could teach a class on how to properly go down on a woman because that tongue of his was a gift.

Letting him think that he was the only one that could do that to you was fun for you though, only because you knew he was using his “skills” elsewhere, not caring who he hurt in the process.

You never accepted a first offer at work or while you play so not asking “how high” every time Billy told you to “jump” was something he wasn’t used to. You didn’t always make yourself available to him every time he wanted to see you.

Why should you?

If you weren’t available, he’d just call someone that was.

“Can’t tonight, handsome. Gotta get some things done.”

But you knew he would continue to check up on you, in case you finished your work early enough for him to take you out for a drink to unwind.

Sometimes you’d let him, sometimes you wouldn’t even though you were finished with your work for the day. But you did really like him.

And one day after many months of casual play, he felt the need to come clean.

“You aren’t the only woman I’ve been seeing, y/n.” He said in a serious tone.

Never breaking eye contact, you sarcastically replied. “You think I don’t know that, Billy? How dumb do you think I am? You’re Billy fuckin’ Russo, handsome playboy CEO. You need a different woman for the different moods you’re in, right?” You said with a furrowed brow.

His jaw dropped and he was speechless.

When he finally was able to string words together, he said, “Well I just thought that we were having a good time together so—“

You cut him off. “Yes, we have been having a lot of fun. I do really like you, but I know who you are Billy Russo because I’ve dated many like you, at least they didn’t try to hide it from me! You think you’re the only man I’m seeing? I gotta lawyer over in Hell’s Kitchen that gives a good tongue fucking too, ya know.”

You put on your coat and picked up your purse. Billy almost looked ashamed like he was sorry, and he didn’t know what to say to you. All he could manage was to gaze at you with his endless brown eyes and run his fingers through his ebony colored hair.

“I do really like you, Billy. More than I’ve liked anyone in a long time but you decided to play with fire so I don’t know why you’re surprised you got burned.” You said, your voice dripping with disdain.

He tried to explain. “Baby, I really need to tell you something.”

But you didn’t want to listen. “Goodbye Billy.”

You walked out of his penthouse and left him sitting on the couch wondering what the fuck just happened. He felt guilty, probably for the first time in his life, for not being honest with you.

He tried not to, he never did this but Billy developed feelings for you and what he wanted to tell you was the reason that he came clean about the other women was because he didn’t want to see anyone else anymore.

He only wanted to see you.

But he blew it, you were gone, and he wondered if you were ever going to speak to him again.

Like you, Billy Russo is also a person that knows what he wants and he wanted you so he didn’t care how long it was going to take, he was determined to make you his…whatever it takes.

More than anything, he desired to be…irreplaceable.

Billy had been acting weird and distant from syd and she honestly had no idea why it was causing fight after fight not even behind closed doors anymore the fight had started in front of everyone else now. Hi, same anon, thanks for answering my question. Can you give some more headcanons, shenanigans, etc. if you're still up for it. When will we see others pov? Will they never meet each other? It's a rather… sad ending. Will Kurama's story end with Aliea's storyline or will he and team enter FFI? After the last chapter with Kirino, I honestly didn’t think that you would be able to give them any way out of the situation and that they would just lose the match, but you somehow managed to not only get them out of this situation, but do it in a believable way that gives light and hope . I was very impressed and I liked the last chapter not only for the plot twist but also for the style. Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hi hi ~ always happy to answer. I do think we'll see the other POVs eventually, but it's... well, a long way off, since these fics are all very long and I hesitate to start another installment before finishing one of them. I plan to go into FFI for Kurama and Chrono Stone for Kirino (not so sure about beyond) so yeah. It'll be awhile.

Since it is technically a Holy Road match, they've gotta win somehow instead of ending in a draw so I had to really have some creative liberty on the way :/ I do think it would have been much more difficult if I put Hakuryuu in xD good thing I took him out of the equation for the sake of balance, I would've written myself into a corner otherwise.

Unfortunately, they'll never meet again :( Only the members in the caravan survived, so one day they'll likely reunite like Shinsuke and Kurama did, even if briefly-- but for everyone else that was left behind, nothing remains except the found footage.

Onto happier thoughts.

I really do have a lot of headcanons on the OG generation that don't really have any basis but I find them fun? Like Natsumi being a genuine girl gang type delinquent-- her father, in an attempt to contain her, put her in Raimon and told her she had the authority to do whatever she wanted as long as she didn't send more kids to the hospital over minor feuds again. It would be a funny explanation to why she had a different uniform from Aki and Haruna, (Midori, for example, has a longer skirt because she IS is delinquent archetype) haha

I do think it's funny to think that they used to be kinda unhinged already even in canon, but now, they've grown up and somehow have been set loose into the world. The only thing between Former Terrorist Kiyama Hiroto and starting another alien takeover for fun is Endou Mamoru's smile and hope in the good of humanity. Which is shattering right now.

There are a variety of things the OG Raimon left behind after their road trip across Japan, which includes a recipe book for camping food, training menus from hell, a tradition of annual bootcamps, and a set of wooden signs that read 'Currently in Reflection'. I'd like to think some rational person over these ten years saw these training menus, established "hell no, you are not bringing the kids into the woods they are not YOU GUYS" and then got the budget to make the soccer building. They're still gonna do the training, but they are not diving into mud for hissatsus ffs.

I was rereading season 1, which has been very fun, lots of details that stand out more with more context, but there's this one bit with Proto man that shows up more than once that's interesting.

In the first episode, Proto man tells Mega man that "Doc never got around to naming [him]... Too busy with his other inventions." Which is followed up a little during the Mega Pinocchio episode, with Proto man saying he's always been Proto (although not actually saying Dr. Light named him that, which turns out to be true), and when Mega man comments on that sounding a little cold, comments that Dr. Light is "Oblivious to details... I like Proto. It's better than Paaasd or something" (which lol)

Now that I've read the season 0 episode, it caught my eye that the name thing doesn't really get talked about there! Proto names himself very quickly, with no thought or fanfare behind it. Very fitting, but paired with the season 1 lines, I'm trying to puzzle out the incongruity of it (Proto you lying bastard why can't you be easier to understand!!!)

On one hand, if the subtle but present implication that Proto might feel bitter about his name is a retcon, it's one that I wouldn't have spotted if I hadn't reread season 0 recently. It's also just as likely that I'm reading into a set of lines that were just meant to be snarky, he definitely does that a lot too lol.

But I am curious if there's some level of truth to that sort of bitter undertone that I thought was implied! Proto man is a difficult character to understand, especially in season 1, and in general when trying to understand his feelings towards Dr. Light. Their relationship is so interesting to me, so sorry if I really did just read way too deep into it haha!

There was a slight perhaps retcon! (sorry this took awhile, limited internet access atm, also this is long/rambly lol)

I wrote season 0 waaay after season 1 (between Master of Disaster Part 2 and 3 to be exact) and in original s0 drafts, the naming thing didn’t happen as early, but when I finally began editing it that seemed unnecessarily weird/creepy for Dr. Light. So, instead the name thing came up on Proto’s activation day. Some of the emphasis around Proto’s name in S1 (particularly E1) was for dramatic irony.

So for character analysis:

Outside of that, still same deal with Dr. Light/Proto, just more focused on char divisions over specific, resolvable drama. The whole dynamic between Dr. Light and Proto has always been strained at best to total estrangement at its core, and sometimes painful to write. Dr. Light was never really in the wrong, Proto just developed into his own person that wanted nothing to do with ‘domestic human life��� or to have any type of authority figure. Its a huge philosophical difference, but its also a son who feels smothered and hopeless rejecting his loving father who tried his best to understand but could never make it work in time. That dynamic still exists, unsolved, in the good!Proto AUs (Master of Disaster Part 3, Become the Night)

Still, Proto isn’t really bitter by Dr. Light’s actions per se, he was just bitter about living under his roof where he was bored and under stimulated. Even Mega was surprised by this at first. In Mega-Pinocchio he was expecting a specific drama lead to Proto’s defection then was surprised when Proto also denied that Dr. Light really did anything wrong, and even reassured the naming thing didn’t bother him (I had already written the ‘naming’ scene in season 0, which remained unchanged, just happened earlier) It wasn’t until Future Shock when he began understanding Proto a little.

Either way tho, Proto wasn’t really bitter about his name (at least there was never intended bitter subtext there, but can be interpreted however!) I think in a way even if Dr. Light *had* given him a name (like Blues?) he would have been quick to drop that when he became Proto Man (kinda like how he thinks ‘Break Man’ is cringy in Become the Night or how Elec Man calling him ‘Light’ drives him nuts). He doesn’t really like the connection, and would prefer to have no name or a generic one over one picked for him by Dr. Light.

YEAH! Sometimes making art is difficult! And, like, yeah, I am going to complain when things aren't going well or I am struggling to make my brain or my hands work.

But I love making art! I feel worse when I have not made art in awhile! I love the process of making art! I love learning new processes and trying new things and even failing at things. I do mostly digital art but I like to go back to traditional sometimes because in traditional, sometimes all you make is a mess, lmao. But you can learn a lot from making a mess!

For me, art is about so much more than a pretty picture. It really is about the process of making a picture. I really couldn't be an artist if it was all about the end result.

Do you know how many disappointing end results I have had in my life?

Neither do I. Too many to count and I don't keep track.

Sketchbooks full of disappointing things that weren't as good as the artists I loved, that didn't match the image in my head, that weren't right.

And I was proud of so many of those images at the same time. Because I knew how much work I put into them. Even as I could point out the flaws, I knew where I had improved and was happy when I stretched my abilities to something new or managed to successfully convey enough of my ideas that people understood what I was going for.

For me, the real joy in art is using my brain to solve artistic problems. Like, here is an idea or an outline of what a client needs. How do I convey this idea? How do I sell a mood? Clue you in to what a character is like? Explain a setting? Hint at something more? Tell a story? Capture a moment? Direct your eye to something important?

And I take everything I have learned and everything I am learning (because you never stop learning!) and I solve these problems. It's a puzzle! And even when I work out how a piece should look, I still get to work on it and sometimes I am still learning and reflecting and developing even as I work.

It's not fun 100% of the time, even when I get to work on my own stuff, but it is truly satisfying work for me and I cannot imagine that being an artist could be sustainable for anyone if the only part you liked was when you were done and had a pretty picture. Making art is so good! Watching a picture take shape under my hands! Brain engaged as I build an image, catch mistakes, try things, have little moments where something just works, seeing my skills grow as a I push myself, moments where I feel brilliant, moments where I am just in the zone and things flow and I make art.

The joy in my art isn't just that I have an image when I am done. It's that I took an idea and developed it, and made it happen. Think of something you do where you have felt proud because you used your skill to make something work or you have solved a challenging problem. The end product is nice, but the when you tell people about it, you tell people about the struggle to figure it out, and the moment where it all came together, and your pride at your skill. It might not have been the most fun moment in your life, but oh that the lovely rush of dopamine when it clicked and it worked!

That's what is fun about art. That's what is happening in artists' brains. We're not just Making Pretty Pictures. We're using our skills to solve technical problems to make a picture! And that's a rush! When I look at art I don't just see a nice picture. I see skill and work and an artist trying to communicate an idea. That's what is amazing about art.

And yeah, there are plenty of artists I look at and am just like "Wow! I don't think I could make that! That's so impressive! So much skill!" But, like, honestly, there's a lot of art I think is great, but it isn't....me. Artists develop their style because they like the way it looks, but also they like making it. I am enchanted by the work of people who do really elegant stylized pixel art, especially pixel animations. But, uh, I kinda hate making pixel art. It doesn't matter how cool I think some of this stuff is, the process involves stuff I do not like doing, that's not a compelling problem to solve nor satisfying or fun for me. I am never going to reach the skill level of the people who love doing this stuff and are throwing themselves into making it with great passion! If I ever passionately need something in pixel form, it would be really exciting to shove some money at someone in order to collaborate with someone has the skill to take my ideas and elevate them with their knowledge of how to make something work in pixels.

genuinely it's always upset me so much how it turned into a weird internet joke about how hating making art is part of being an artist because while yeah sometimes parts of learning it can be frustrating just like learning anything can be frustrating sometimes, making art is the most fun part of being an artist. isn't it??? did you not become an artist because you LIKED making art??? and putting your heart and soul into crafting something original that only you could make??? with your bare hands??? is that not why anybody becomes an artist????? because that's definitely why I became an artist and why all my artist friends became artists and why most artists became artists

Hey! I wanted to ask bc you're playing 358/2 days rn, what's the gameplay like? Is it more like every other kh game, or does it have different mechanics? I still have my nintendo ds and i remember wanting to play every game available to me, which i dropped bc chain of memories wasn't fun for me bc of the cards. I flopped at it so bad, couldn't even beat the boss in wonderland.

Hmm, I haven’t gotten too far since I only played a little late last night and today, BUT it is really interesting. And difficult. Mainly because you have controls of the camera on the bottom screen, which can be difficult during battle. I have only beat a few heartless since I’m on the mission with Marluxia, so I haven’t beaten any big bosses or multiple heartless yet, sadly. However, the lock on feature helps a lot.

It has different mechanics, such as using bottom screen to control the camera, and there’s no voice. You will kinda have to do it like you did DDD on DS, if you ever played it. At least I’m assuming since I have DDD for 3DS but I never played it lmao. Here is what the UI looks like:

You basically use the buttons on DS (or 3DS) to control how he jumps (B for jump) and then A to do whichever is chosen on the left like Attack or Magic or items. You have to use your left and right top buttons to change what you’ve chosen, so it may be a little difficult, but it is interesting and not too hard to learn. It just takes time getting used to.

Also babe I totally get you on the CoM thing. However, I’d like to recommend playing on PS4 or PS5 or whatever you have. It’s easier on a big screen and a better/bigger controller and not just two screens (imo anyways). And I totally understand the difficulty with understanding the cards. It took me a LONG WHILE to understand, but I truly recommend playing it again and looking for guides, or I can help you personally! I mainly learned from mistakes and observing what the boss/enemies do. That boss made me stuck for awhile too since I didn’t understand😭. But now im stuck on Vexen’s second battle hence my ‘I’ll fuck you later Vexen’ post lol.

Anyways, the game is interesting so far and I’ll see if I can get used to it and I recommend it! It may be a little difficult at first, for both Days on DS and CoM on a PlayStation, but it’s worth it! So far anyways. I hope I helped and I’m sorry if not😭. Thanks for coming to me!

i agree it’s rlly popular in asia and it’s also in a good spot because it’s kind of a blend of a typical battle shounen and sports anime (like jjk and haikyuu [never watched hq but i generally know of it]) so it can attract a diverse audience…once the battle shounen girlies give it a chance it’ll become sooo much more popular!! ik initially i was hesitant because i’m not hugely into sports so i thought it’d be boring but it’s rlly different and i obviously ended up loving it!! so hoping more people try it out and end up in that same spiral

I am going to blog about my high school golf season. This year I am currently playing on the Centennial Varsity High school golf team.

Today was are first golf match of the season and let me tell ya it was a great one. We played at a very nice course Golden Valley country club. We teed off for a shotgun start at about 11:00 am. It was a little chilly today but not to bad at a temperature of 48 degrees. Today I couldn't of started off with a better start then I did I shot a 74. But not a normal 74 all over the place with a eagle, lots of birdies, and a couple of double bogeys but hey don't get me wrong I was pumped with the round I shot escpecially on the very quick greens.

This evening I had my first skills skate in awhile which was pretty fun. I skated at the Lumberyard in Stillwater which is a really cool mini 3 on 3 rink. Today though for the skills skate we just kinda went back to the basics and just getting the hands good again cause like I said it has been awhile since I had one. So basically we worked all different variations of stick handling in tight and awkward situations and then having to get a shot off right after or make a move on the goalie. It was actually a pretty light skate and fun to be back out there again.

Let's just say Rush creek golf course got me today. It was not a lovely day on the golf course today with crazy 30 mph winds blowing in our faces. I just couldn't found my game today swing just never felt great felt like I just couldn't find a fairway or green but once I got to the green I was actually able to putt so there was one positive. But I ended shooting a very rough score of 86.

Hockey today was great but also exhausting. Today I skated with my skating coach at fogerty ice arena and let me tell ya those are the hardest skates you’ll do. You start with a warmup and usually when you do a warmup you’d think it would be easy no it is the opposite of that it is very difficult. We worked on being explosive out of turns and getting our head around to see and scan the ice in front of you. But it’s been awhile since I’ve had a skating practice but it was fun but difficult see ya next time on the blog!!

Royal golf club one word to describe is beautiful. But past that gosh did I love that course. But to the golf I started out really well thru 11 was -2 which was really good but my round took a turn very quickly. I mean there was a reason why it took a turn and it was because I got drafted in the USHL by the Chicago Steel and I was just so happy I couldn't focus back and it ended up shooting a 82 but to be honest besides my score it was a great day of golf and getting drafted. Also forgot to add this is a two day tournament which i'll add to the blog tomorrow after the 2nd day of the tournament.

We were back to lumberyard this morning. We were with skills coach Scott Bond and we were working on keeping our head up while still having our feet moving and having  quick hands. Today there were a couple of us at the session so it was fun to see everyone that got back from juniors to come home and skate. It’s always great skating with others because they make you better and it is fun to compete with others. After the skate they have a really nice shooting area so me and a couple of the guys went back there to really dial in our shots and releases.

Today was the day of our 2nd round of the border battle tourney at Troy burn a wonderful course. But even though I came into today with a positive attitude just felt like I could never get my game on track swing never felt great and my putts were always tracking just seemed like one of those days where putts don't want to drop. But hey its golf can't be great every tournament or let alone money but great course to play on today just my game couldn't match.

Hockey this evening was at Centennial high school with one of my friends dads running the skate named Jesse Ramirez. His skates are always a great high intensity with a lot of skill type of skate . Just working on really getting your feet moving and having your hands be able to keep up. We finished the skate with a little 4 on 4 scrimmage to end off the day like we usually do with those skates which was really fun my team ended up winning so I didn't have to do the terrible forfeit that you have to do for losing.

Played TPC this morning with my buddy Hayden and his dad Jason. We always do some type of betting on the course today we did 5 dollars a 9 winner takes all. I mean today I thought I played good just my game got good a little too late I shot a 78 was even thru the last 15 holes so my first 3 holes really screwed me over for trying to win money but I can’t really complain cause Hayden shot 70 and Jason shot 73 so they both played really good rounds so at least I didn’t lose to scores that weren’t to great. Just shows being on time can be too late when others start of early.

Today I didn’t skate on ice but I played my first roller session of the year and to be honest at this time in the year nothing can beat playing roller hockey doesn’t get better than it. Roller hockey is really fun cause it’s a complete different game it is all about patience and making really good hockey plays. And the group out there are great players few younger guys like my age and then the rest are guys who are older that we’re really good players when they were younger. We play roller at the hippodrome in white bear it’s a legendary mini rink I believe it’s the oldest indoor hockey rink in the metro.

Played golf at Keller this afternoon really sweet course in the Maplewood area. I’d say it’s one of the most underrated course around here cause not many play it a lot but gosh is it a really nice course i believe even back in the 40’s there was a pga tournament here which is really sweet. But on to my round it was a really back and forth round. I would have really good holes then right after I would just have a blowup hole so it felt like I could never get in rhythm and couldn’t make many putts which resulted in me shooting a 84.

For hockey had my first game in awhile it’s a showcase at Doug Woog arena with are high schools section they take the top 20 kid and build a team to play others teams. From here you can get selected to play in the NIT tournament where they take the top 20 guys from the showcase this weekend and play others teams across the country trying to win the NIT tournament. But today we had 1 game first game with a bunch of random guys is always pretty sloppy and hectic but came the third period are team started to get under control and we took the lead with 5 minutes left and ended up winning which was exciting.

Loggers trail. Today was I don’t even know how to explain it basically all over the place. Had a really rough morning couldn’t wake up kept falling asleep completely forgetting I had a match at 9 this morning until I look at the clock and it was 8:30 and I was like shoot I have a golf tourney in 30 minutes I better get going. Well I made but definitely not early I was there 2 minutes before my tee time and had no warmup so I had no expectations going into this round I was hey if I shoot anything decent I’m happy cause I’m already all over the place and I did exactly that so I’m not to mad I ended up shooting a 81 which isn’t great but isn’t terrible under my circumstances.

Didn’t have hockey today but went and watched some games this evening at the nahl showcase with my buddies. Which was pretty fun  the games were really close and intense cause they are playing in the finals of the Robertson cup to win it all in the NAHL. After that we went and got some food at Leann chin which is one of my favorites. After we ate we all went to my friend Jacks house and just chilled. So today was a pretty good day of just chilllllllingggg!!!!

Road trip to brainerd with the golf team today. Today I won’t be saying anything about hockey because there is no hockey that happened today but we’ll be just talking about our first on the Brainerd golf road trip. We started on the road early at 10 am after having to show up to school at 9 too pack all the cars with us and are luggage and golf bags. But I road in the car with Harper, Hayden, and Flint which was a fun car ride we just ate food and talked about all the stories over the years so the trip was made quick with a lot of laughter. Then we showed up to the golf course where we were going to play are first round of the trip.

First round of the trip was a really sweet par 3 course to start off the week fun and compete amongst the guys. We brought up 9 guys so we split the teams into 3 where I played with flint and cooper. Let’s just say it was a butt killing to the other teams and they had no chance. We all played great we’re making everything and hitting every green where no one else could compete with us. So the first day of the road trip I would say was great.

He we are today back at the staple of where I play my best. That is indeed victory links. Victory links is basically where I play my golf everyday in the summer with my buddies so I know the course like the back of my hand so I was really excited to play today. I shot a 77 today 6 over which to be honest I’m happy with but I could’ve shot a much lower score but some putts just didn’t want to drop today to really help my score but are team in general today played really well finishing in third place which is really exciting. Today my good friend Hayden had a really good day on the golf course shooting 1 under which got him in third place.

Today was the start of the NIT tournament which was really cool to see my name be selected for the second year in a row. Lot of familiar faces on the team from just playing with and against over all the years of youth and high school hockey. To say the least today was one of my better games in a while which was great ended up talking to a couple of college coaches after the game which is always exciting and excited to keep in touch with them. But are team one with a score of 7-2 which we pretty much beat up on the team the whole day so first day of NIT was definitely a success.

Natasha met you post-Black Widow. She was helping out Yelena with freeing the Widows’ when she came across you.

You were a teen at the time - but still brainwashed. Thankfully because of your age you hadn’t been brainwashed into doing anything too bad yet, but you were almost finished with your training.

Something struck Natasha when she saw you. Looking back on it, she assumes it was the fact that like her and Yelena, you had been put into the Red Room at a young age, and you were the first teen they saw while on these various missions.

While she was okay with fighting the other Widows’, it was hard for Natasha to fight you. At the time, she brushed it off as not wanting to hurt a kid, but she knew that she was taking a liking to you.

Which was why, when Yelena managed to free you, and you told them that you had nowhere to go, Natasha felt the need to do something about it. Unlike the other Widows’ who were adults, you couldn’t go out into the world alone and, after talking with Yelena, Natasha decided to take you along with her.

It wasn’t adoption per say, at least at first, but it was close enough.

You jumped at the opportunity to tag along with Natasha and while Yelena continued the Widows’ mission, Natasha took you back to Melina’s house., where you met Melina and Alexei.

You were wary around them at first, clinging to Natasha, but you warmed up.

However, it wasn’t long before Natasha had to go on the run again. She offered you the chance to stay there with Melina and Alexei but you had grown very close to Natasha and wanted to come with her.

So, you did.

It was difficult, escaping authority and having to constantly be moving, but it in a way it strengthened yours and Natasha’s bond. You guys got closer and learned to work together — as fighting partners as well as mother/daughter.

Which was why, not having known your biological parents or where they were, the word ‘mom’ easily fell off her lips.

It happened when you guys were eating take-out in your latest house. Natasha had passed you the water pitcher and “thanks, mom” just came so naturally.

For a second, you didn’t realize what you had said, until you looked up to see Natasha staring at you with wide eyes.

Then, it hit you. Holy shit my god. Had you just said that?? What just happened?

You got scared that Natasha would react badly, but it was the opposite. A huge grin broke out on her face and even happy tears of pure joy.

When you asked her what was going on, she said: “I’ve never been a mother.”

That’s when you smiled and hugged her and you officially agreed on becoming mother and daughter.

Natasha was worried on being a mother at first, scared that she messed it up, but after reassurance from Melina via a phone call, she fell into the role naturally.

She became much more protective.

Not that you minded.

This went on until the Avengers called upon Natasha to fight Thanos.

She brought you along with her and the team was thoroughly stunned.

Yeah, it was chaotic.

You weren’t fazed though and quickly befriended Wanda and attempted to befriend Vision.

Steve and Sam also became like uncles.

Tony was a bit more difficult because you initially blamed him for you and Natasha on the run, so you were distant at first.

You were also kinda disappointed that Clint wasn’t there. You had wanted to meet him (and Natasha wanted you to meet him) after the stories you heard.

Nonetheless, you went to Wakanda and that’s where you met Bucky. It wasn’t long before he became another uncle.

You absolutely loved fighting alongside Okoye and meeting Shuri. You were fascinated by her technology.

You also kicked ass on the battlefield.

But then . . . You lost.

You watched Bucky disappear and even though you hadn’t known him for nearly as long as Natasha and Steve did, you still felt great pain.

Then you learned to that Sam and Wanda had gotten snapped and it got worse.

The days leading after were some of the most difficult days ever.

It was the first time you had to be strong for your mom, seeing as she had lost her friends too, and you panicked at first.

But you had been her daughter for awhile now and you knew what to do. You hugged Natasha and was there for her.

In the months coming, you helped the reminding heroes rebuild the world and you eventually joined the Avengers under your mother’s lead.

You also met Clint but it wasn’t a happy meeting, really, since he had lost his family.

You continued on as an Avenger with Natasha by your side. You met Carol and she was like an aunt and was amazing.

Things started to turn on the bright side when one day Natasha walked in with a genuine smile and held papers.

You could only guess what they were for at first, but quickly was shown and freaked out (a happy freak out) after.

Adoption papers.

You jumped and yelled and screamed and cheered, unbelievably happy that this was becoming official official.

You were Natasha’s daughter.

While the past few years had been difficult, this made it all worth it. You didn’t know where you’d be without Natasha and she was always with you.

Eventually, the team had a plan to defeat Thanos.

Which felt liked a miracle.

Natasha lives because I say so.

You and her got to tag-team Thanos’ enemies.

Literally the best team since Clint and Nat.

(Clint was jealous)

Then, you got everyone back!

You were SO happy to see Bucky, Sam, and Wanda again, and so was Natasha.

After you all reunited and the world went back to semi-normal, you and Natasha visited Yelena, Alexei, and Melina who were beyond happy to see you both.

Things started to turn up again and you were so grateful to have Nat at your side.

She was the best mom EVER.

Always looking out for you and protecting you

If any of the other Avengers made the slightest of snide comments, she was on them like a bloodhound

She always reminded you to hydrate and was always asking you how you were doing

It was hard to believe that she hadn’t had any experience with children before

Well, she had, with Clint’s kids, but still

Speaking of Clint’s kids, they all looked to you like an older cousin

But getting back to Natasha

She insisted that only she would train with you, not trusting the team to not injure you (besides, she knew you best)

You loved training with Natasha too

She always made it fun, putting on music and stuff

It helped you had similar music tastes

She also would always gush to anyone but really Clint, Sam, or Bucky on how cute and adorable you were

And they definitely agreed

One time during movie night you fell asleep with your head on Nat’s shoulder

She was so happy

Made Bucky take a picture

But she did feel a little bad because you must be tired

So she carried you to your room and put you to bed, kissing you goodnight

You had missed out on a childhood so it was nice for your mom to bring you to bed

All in all Natasha was the best thing to happen to you

Despite it being tough, you were thankful for every second of it

Heyo!! I'd love to hear some more of your headcanons for Caleb, if you're willing to share. Maybe how he is around people he considers friends? 👀

Sorry this took awhile to answer. I had just got back from vacation the day I saw this and I needed some time to recover from my trip. I was a little drained after I got back home, but I'm feeling more motivated now.

Caleb's difficult to get to know since he's such a guarded person. He has a hard time trusting people after all the times he was betrayed before, but once you've earned his trust, you've gained yourself a loyal friend. 

Those who have managed to get past his sullen demeanor will find him to be quite boisterous. Caleb has plenty of stories from his time with the Hellshire Gang that he loves to share. The way he enthusiastically recounts each tale and adds suspense and humor to his stories keeps his audience entertained for hours. He has a tendency to exaggerate certain parts, but he will deny it if anyone were to point out any inconsistencies from the last time he told a story. 

Being friends with Caleb of course means that Dead Dawg's doors are always open to you. Having company over helps to fill the silence and keep Caleb distracted from unpleasant thoughts. With the Entity providing an endless supply of drinks, there's plenty to go around. And if you need some place comfortable to rest, there's the extra bedroom up stairs. 

He's a tough love kinda guy, so he can come across as berating when offering any advice when it comes to trials. If he catches them slipping up he will be sure to point it out sometime later. He doesn't mean to sound critical, but he doesn't want them to repeat the same mistake and ruin their chances of survival. If it's a fellow killer who's struggling, he'll hear them out and offer some constructive criticism. 

Caleb makes a great listener if you've got anything on your mind. He may not be the best at advice, but he can offer an ear and a shoulder to cry on (along with a few drinks if need be). There's a much softer side to him that comes out when the people he cares about are hurting and he'll do everything in his power to help them.

You know, with Animaniacs having been getting a whole lot more attention again, and with me and my sis reading Scoob and Shag, it got us thinking about what the Warners’ ballyhoos might be. 👁️👁️

So, please take a seat, get comfortable, and read what me and my sister have come up with~

Our first idea was that their ballyhoos would be connected in some way which I'll expand more on as we go. For now, I'll explain how each of theirs work.

Starting with,

✨Yakko Warner✨

Ballyhoo: "Manifest Melody"

As we've seen, this fella likes to sing and tries to at any given opportunity. A lot of songs when it comes to these types of cartoons are either informational, or just tell it how it is (i.e, the events that are happening at the moment, what a character is feeling, like telling a story; basically a musical to put it all simply).

So, whatever Yakko sings, it'll basically happen. If he sung about an anvil falling on someone's head, well then an anvil will appear out of nowhere and fall on that person's head, if they don't manage to dodge in time, that is.

He can only go as far as manifesting physical things into reality and being able to alter the area in some ways (if he were to sing about someone about to fall into a ditch, then a random ditch can suddenly appear in the ground and the character would most likely fall in).

It’s possible he could change the way someone feels. The character would still have full control of themselves, but if Yakko were to sing about how sad and frustrated they must be feeling, then their emotions would embrace that feeling which would possibly make it harder for the character to focus on what they were doing before.

Yakko can’t, however, make it so that he could instantly win. Singing about a character losing won’t just make a character lose, it’ll take a lot more than that, sadly (he doesn’t mind, though, it wouldn’t be fun that way lol). He can’t just make a character simply die, either. 

So, it’s all based on physical things, and he’d only be able to affect a character themselves by emotions alone. If he wanted to physically hurt the character or something like that, he would have to sing out about that anvil or that ditch in the ground, etc.

His singing has to have a flow with the words and rhythm and such, because if it doesn’t, then it simply won’t work. Whatever he made happen while he was singing will reset after he stops using his ballyhoo (meaning, whatever items were there would go away, but stuff like the ditch would stay. It is only physical objects that would disappear). It’s similar to how once a song is over, everything that happened during it would kinda be dismissed and the characters would move on as if they didn’t just have the grandest dance number in the middle of the street. 

Of course, the best way to stop him would be to just find a way to keep his mouth shut which many find difficult because it’s flippin’ Yakko Warner.

All right!! His took a lot to explain, but the next two will be more shorter. ^^

✨Wakko Warner✨

Ballyhoo: "Infinite Crave”

It's literally like how Kirby works: his stomach is a huge, never ending, spatial void, a whole other dimension.

Wakko can eat anything and it'll just, y'know, stay in that stomach of a void until he brings it out whenever he wants. It's like a hammerspace except that hammerspace is his stomach LOL

He could spit things out like bullets if he wanted to, and yes, he could inhale things up like a vacuum.

The possibilities on how he'd use it are endless~

He only has a void when he's using his ballyhoo, other than that he has a regular ol' stomach.

Wow that was much shorter LOL, I'm sure there's more to be said, but for now we'll keep it as is. 👍

And now, last, but definitely not least...

✨Dot Warner✨

Ballyhoo: "Lady's Purse"

We both noticed that Dot is the one to use her hammerspace the most (at least in the reboot). She just whips out whatever at any given time. So, we thought she would be the one who perfects the technique of the whole thing; has a better grip on the concept.

Just like a lady's purse, anything can be in it, and so Dot could have anything on her, and bring it out however. Her main weapon is obviously her trademark hammer.

Just for fun she would bring out the smallest, slimmest hand purse ever and take out a car out of it or something just ironically huge and bulky.

Her "hammerspace" isn't as vast as Wakko's "whole other dimension," but whatever she can think of, she's able to bring out (while Wakko has to collect all his stuff externally and store them up).

She can only bring out items, objects, and the like. It can't be an actual person, if anything, it'd be a figurine of the person or something. 😂

Whatever she brings out can't be placed back because, though she can use whatever items as they should be used, they're only basically based on her imagination, so once she uses it, it'll just poof away afterwards, as if it didn't exist (similar to what would happen with Yakko). Just like how certain gags work in cartoons.

If she didn't want to worry about an item being poofed away, she'd use whatever Wakko's got as he can keep using the same items over and over again since he'd just bring whatever out, and after he's done, eat it.

Okay! After describing everyone individually, lets talk about how they could be connected in certain ways.

I kind of already explained it in Dot’s section how she would sometimes use whatever Wakko has got, and mostly he’d have to bring whatever item out and she’d use it.

Buuut, she’s also able to connect to Wakko’s “dimension” and use whatever items from there by taking it out of her own “Lady’s Purse.” It only works when they’re both together, so if they’re separated, she won’t be able to do that.

It’s a good trick to use on an “enemy” if said enemy already knew about how Dot’s ballyhoo worked and be surprised when whatever item she brought out doesn’t poof afterwards.

It’s the same case with Yakko. If he had to get specific about some things, and if Wakko was with him, then Yakko could bring out whatever items from Wakko just by singing, and it would pop up wherever Yakko sings it would pop up (no need for Wakko to spit it out, yaaay). The items used from Wakko would then stay after, like I said with Dot.

Basically, Wakko’s their storage unit LOL And so they’re all aware with what Wakko has stored, but only when they’re together.

Nothing is different when it’s Yakko and Dot, but they do work well together (despite all the arguments that may ensue). She joins in on the singing, helping things happen with her in the mix of it, and it also helps her think up some items to use. Of course, Wakko joins in on the singing, too, and all three of them are just nuisances and we love them.

They’re also more aware meta wise when all three are together. They might notice a speech bubble once in awhile, or look to the audience like they’re in The Office, but it’s nothing serious, they just have fun with it.

Also, I’m pretty sure being locked in the tower would do things.

ANYWHO That’s all! I’m sorry if this looks all messy, or if I didn’t explain things well enough, we’re still figuring out some things in the process ourselves, but I think we got the general thing out all in all.

The Discovery

Julie teaching Luke piano, boys finding out that they can touch Julie now, Ray finding out about the boys

In order to halt Luke from walking away Julie said the one thing she knew would get his attention.

“Come on... I can’t do this without you.”

He sighed. “...that is not fair.”

He had prefaced Julie before by saying how he would probably be terrible at playing piano. This was completely Alex and Reggie’s doing.

It had started the other day when the band was practicing. Alex made a tease at Luke about how he could have messed up a simple measure of music.

“Alright fine. You try!” He offered up his guitar in response.

He looked skeptical at the guitar. “You know how long it’s been since I’ve touched that.”

“Hey, I messed up too.” Reggie said to help Luke feel better.

“Thanks Reg.” He patted him on the back appreciated the sincerment.

“Yeah Luke,” Julie joined in on Alex’s teasing, “it’s not that difficult.”

“Then you try.” He once again offered up his guitar as a response.

She sat silent at the keyboard. “I would but I... I don’t know how.”

“Oh!” Reggie perked up. “It’s not too bad once you learn. Maybe you and I could-”

He was interrupted by hearing Alex’s obviously real cough. He looked and saw that he was looking between Julie and Luke and that’s when Reggie got the hint.

“Hey! Maybe Luke can teach you.”

“Yeah I guess if you want.”

“Sure.” She agreed. “I could teach you piano too.”

“That sounds like a fantastic idea.” Alex looked to Luke for him to take the offer.

“Sounds like a plan.” He smiled.

Now, the two were in the studio having their “learning-the-other’s-instrument” session. Luke’s piano learning had started but he became upset with himself and had gotten up from the piano bench in frustration.

“Come on.” She scooted to her left side, patting the bench for him to come sit. “Do you think I did good when I first played?”

“Well yeah,” he joined her back at the piano, “because you’re Julie fricken Molina.”

She rolled her eyes but appreciated the compliment. Any chance he had, he never missed the opportunity to compliment her.

“I told you that if you just give it some time you’ll get it. Now which one is A?” She started the teaching process by going over all the notes. Then, on her end of the piano, she played a simple pattern of notes and then had him replicate it on his end.

“Good!” She congratulated whenever he replicated the pattern right.

It didn’t take that long for the two to get lost in the music. The simple pattern of notes turned into a long pattern but Luke was still doing as told by replicating it on his end. She, out of habit, placed both hands on the piano.

She began playing and moving her hands down towards the right. He did the same. She was too busy watching her hands that she didn’t even realize she had moved so far down that she bumped into his hand. The piano went silent as the two realized their hands had met.

They shared a look into each other’s eyes attached with a smile. The two just looking sincerely at each other. Then, as if the thought entered their minds at the same time, their expressions turned to realization. Looking at their hands, back to each other, then their hands. Julie pulled her hand away suddenly. He did the same once she did.

“Did- we just- I could-“ She couldn’t find the words.

“I- I felt alive. I could- OWW!” He exclaimed in response to Julie jabbing him in the shoulder. “What was that for?!” He rubbed the spot he was now wounded in.

“You could feel that.” she said mesmerized.

“Yeah... I could.” He swallowed. “There could have been so many other ways to test it but no instead you had to cause injury.”

“Oh it was not that- OWW! HEY!”

“See?” He asked once also jabbing her in the arm.

This was either a great discovery or a bad one, guess it would depend on the day.

Of course they had to tell the boys of their new discovery. They band had just finished practicing.

“That was awesome!” Luke went to do the usually fist bumps to his band mates. He went to Alex and Reggie (as per usually) but then they watched as he went over to Julie. They watched as Julie returned his fist bump. Julie and Luke turned to them for a reaction.

“Did-” Alex cut himself off from being confused.

“Did you just...” Reggie picked up walking cautiously to Julie. Julie suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around her torso into a bear hug. “WE CAN TOUCH NOW!” He gasped practically bouncing up and down. She patted his arm letting him know she returned the hug.

“Reggie you’re kinda squeezing a lot there.”

“Right!” He released her. “Sorry, just excited.”

Julie gave a look to Alex, excepting him to also test if the claim was true. He stood up from his drums and made his way to her. In order to test it he gave her a simple poke on the arm.

“Oh hey, we can.”

“See Julie thats how you test it out. Not by causing injury!”

She rolled her eyes at Luke. The bassist and drummer got the impression that something had to have happened during learning the other’s instrument. They decided not to question but instead be happy of this little big discovery.

“You did awesome!” Luke repeated the phrase Julie heard just about on an everyday basis.

“Would you stop?” She asked with a laugh.

“Just want you to know how talented you are.” He looked down at the open hand he held out.

“It’s hard not to when you tell me everyday.” She smiled taking his hand. They stood at the beginning of the pathway to Julie’s front door, talking and holding hands.

She didn’t know why he insisted on walking her to her door even though the studio and it were so close by. Despite Alex’s teases of the boy’s kind gesture every time, he still would walk with her every time after the band would call it a day with practicing. Ever since the discovery, they never let her forget it. Although it was nice knowing that now there wouldn’t be any awkward ‘trying to hold hands but passing through instead’ moments.

Finally after some time, Julie had to give him the usual news that she had to go in for dinner. Which was cemented when Carlos opened the door.

“You’ll see each other tomorrow.” He rolled his eyes. “Just come in and eat.” He left the door open for her.

The pair chuckled and said their goodbye for the night. Julie came in and shut the door behind her and saw Carlos already sat at the table.

It was nice having at least someone in her family knowing about the boys. Of course, at the start Carlos was ever curious about them asking all kinds of questions. It wasn’t fun, however, when they couldn’t answer any of them because they themselves didn’t know the answer.

Julie saw her dad preparing the last of dinner in the kitchen and took her spot at the table.

“Thought you’d be here.” Alex said poofing in next to Reggie who was leaning against the top of the arm chair, where Ray sat in close proximity at the end of the couch. His knees bouncing from nerves.

“Yeah, how come you’re here? Willie busy?”

“No... he skated away after we hung out.” He corrected. “What’s his problem?”

“I don’t know, he’s been kinda like this the whole day.” He replied concerned.

“Ok I’m here.” the boys looked behind them to see Julie’s aunt come through the front door. “What was so important that you needed me to come over?” She joined him on the couch.

“Let’s say you have... suspicions.”

“Suspicions?”

“They could be nothing but they are suspicions.”

“What suspicions?”

“Suspicions of your child dating.”

Reggie whispered to Alex, “I think we’re intruding.”

“He’s probably talking about Carlos. Yeah we can-” Alex was interrupted when he heard Ray continue.

“I’ve just been seeing her hold hands with this boy before she comes in for dinner and I don’t know how to approach the conversation.”

“Before dinner?” Reggie said in realization who he was talking about.

“Hold hands?” Alex shared Reggie’s same realization.

“I’ve been trying to keep my space on it with her but it’s been a bit and I need to talk to her about it.” He asked for advice revolving around his teenager daughter.

“How does he even-”

“Don’t know but think we should tell them?” In a second Alex and Reggie poofed out and into the studio where Luke and Julie were.

“That’s not bad,” Luke said to Julie as they were at the piano together, “but I think was thinking something more like-“

“Sorry to interrupt!” Reggie said as him and Alex appeared at the side of the piano.

“Umm... this is new.” Julie said. They never would get interrupted during their writing sessions.

“Yeah... what’s up because we’re kind of in the middle of something.” He said as evident by the pencil he held and the journal that was open on the piano.

“Ray knows!” The pair looked confused and shocked at Alex’s quick statement. “Well, not about us. But he does know about Luke. But not the whole ghost-”

“Alex,” Luke stood up putting his hands on the blond’s shoulders, “take a breath, explain.”

He breathed in through his noise and began to explain. “Reggie and I overheard a conversation between Ray and Victoria. He wanted advice.”

“Advice?” Julie wondered.

“About his suspicions of... his daughter maybe dating.”

“Huh?” She asked.

“You are?” Luke asked at the same time.

“No! No I’m not!” She clearly answered.

“He’s apperently been seeing the hand holding before dinner.” Reggie finished for Alex.

“Wait how can-“

“Your guess is as good as ours. We just wanted to-”

“Julie.”

Her attention was caught to the studio doors behind opened.

“Dad!” She called. “What... are you doing here?”

“I want to talk to you.” He made his way over to the piano.

“Well at least we warned you.” Reggie said.

“About... what?” She asked even though she had a pretty good idea what this was about.

“You’ve been so busy lately with the band and everything, it seems like it’s been awhile since we’ve talked.”

“Sorry, we- I’ve,” she corrected herself immediately, “been having all these song ideas.”

He noticed the journal open on the piano. “Oh is this one-”

Luke, without thinking, closed it immediately once Ray tried to get a peek at what was written. Which got a scolding look from Julie.

“Did-” Ray said in confusion pointing to the now closed journal, “Did that just-”

“Could have been the wind.” She tried to play it off. “You know how the wind can be... being wind.”

He noticed that something was written on the cover, he tried to read what was written on it. Suddenly the journal, slid back on the piano and down to the bench landed next to Julie.

“Luk- Look the wind! That’s some very strong wind today.”

He gave a puzzled look. “Okay I came to talk to you about something else but clearly something else is going on.”

“What...?”

“Julie.” He folded his arms.

She sighed. “Ok...” she got up from the piano and walked passed him over to where the keyboard was still set up at.

The boys all exchanged looks to each other once picking up on what was about happeend. They filed to their respective instruments.

“Promise not freak out.” She readjusted the mic on the keyboard. “If you look around the room you’ll find that there is no equipment to project holograms.”

“...I guess.” Her dad did a small scan of the room and did in fact see no hologram projection equipment.

“I never told you because I didn’t want you to send me to Dr. Turner again.”

He raised an eyebrow wondering why she would think that. He saw her look to where the ladder that lead up to the loft was. The look was for... reasurance? She gave a nod and started to play the keys, her entrance of the song.

“Julie I don’t-” he was about to inform her that he didn’t need to hear a mini concert except was cut off when the boys’ enterance came. Right in front of him he saw the 3 boys from her band materialize. The sight made him jump.

He watched as Julie took the mic off it’s stand and go over to the middle of the boys. She jammed out with the guitarist and bassist while all their vocals blended together perfectly as a band. Once finishing the chorus she instructed them to continue playing.

“I think it’s time you properly meet the band.” She said as the boys played a soft beat in the background. She went from who was behind her by her right to left. “That’s Reggie, Alex and Luke.”

“Hi Ray!” Reggie smiled waving to the man.

“H-How?” He stuttered out.

“Remember how I came out screaming and you said it looked like I had seen a ghost? Well I saw three.”

“Musician spirits.” Alex corrected.

“That’s never gonna stick.” Luke turned his head to him.

“Maybe it will, you never know.”

“When I went to go through mom’s stuff I found a CD and decided to play it. When I did, that’s when these three showed up.”

“Yep and she’s been stuck with us ever since!” Reggie smiled.

She chuckled at what he said. “I’m the only one who can see them expect for when we play. They’re the ones who help me get back into in the music program.” She said sincerely to her dad.

“We’re originally from a band called Sunset Curve.” Luke explained. “In 1995, the night we were supposed to play the Orpheum, we ate some bad hot dogs.”

They realized that they should probably give him some time to process all the information that they told him.

“Sunset Curve...” Ray said after awhile, “why does that-“

“Trevor was their old band mate.” Julie helped.

“Also took all of Luke’s songs, said they were his, which he then got big and famous instead but yeah just gloss over that.” Alex added knowing that Julie probably didn’t want to get into it.

“...that explains the My Name is Luke song, thought it was different.”

“Yeah and my name is Luke. Sorry for closing the journal and moving it when you were trying to read what was in it.”

“So,” Ray turned to Julie, “this is why you’re in here all the time.” He always thought it was interesting the amount of time she would spend in the studio since he presumed it was just her.

“Luke and I write songs all the time. Plus, this is the only place where I can talk to them without it looking strange. Anywhere else it looks like I’m talking to air.”

“Well,” Reggie input, “technically- although maybe now we aren’t whenever we touch you.”

“Touch...” Ray remembered the original reason as to why he came into the studio in the first place. Suddenly, the boy in a beanie without sleeves loooked very familiar. Luke’s expression dropped once he saw Ray put it together.

“He knows.” Reggie felt Luke’s same feeling.

“Dad!” Julie came in between them once seeing her take a step towards the guitarist. “It’s not what you think! He’s a ghost.”

“Should I be offended?” He asked looking to his friends behind him. Which got him an elbow in the shoulder by Julie. “Oww!”

A puzzled expression came over Ray. “If he’s a ghost then how can you-”

“We found out a few weeks ago.” Alex started. “We can actually touch Julie now, some of us use that information more often than others.” Luke’s eyes went wide trying to tell him to shut up. “And apparently when we do, we can now be seen.”

“We don’t know if that’s how it works.” Reggie interjected.

“I assume that’s how it would be for all of us considering he was able to see Luke when they hold hands.”

“Wait how did you know that’s what I came out here to talk about?”

The two stayed silent.

“You heard my conversation with-”

“Only a little bit.” Reggie tried to make it sound less bad.

“...how often does that happen?” He looked to Julie wondering since she was the only one who could always see them.

“Whenever you’re home I... I’m around.” The bassist admitted.

“Oh... well...” Reggie was nervous for his reply, “next time you’re there just like me know.”

He smiled showing a sign that he understood.

“Now you-” Ray turned back to face Luke, who was currently cowering behind Julie.

“Dad like I told you before, it’s not what you think.”

“What else am I supposed to think when I see you holding hands with a boy at the end of our driveway before you come in for dinner?”

“...ok well when you put it like that-”

“I feel alive again whenever it happens.” Luke input. “Like when we play music but in a different way. It’s this-”

“Please do not get him started,” Alex rolled his eyes. “he’ll start going on his ‘I-love-Julie-Molina’ speech.” As soon as he said it he realized what it sounded like.

“Not like that!” Luke instantly corrected to save himself. “I mean if it’s fine with you if it could be like that because I mean I don’t have a problem with it I mean unless you do because then in that case then it’s-”

“Luke.” Julie said through her teeth to get him back on track.

“Right!” He remembered he had a point. “I have good intentions. Your daughter needs to remember how wicked talented she is. I promise...” he searched for a word to address him as, “sir.”

His eyes fell between all the boys. Luke, most nervous of all, could tell his eyes were kind and thankful. “This is going to take a bit to adjust to but I will.” He smiled which everyone else reflected. “I will be sure to tell your Tía that my assumption was just nothing so she doesn’t ask you about it.”

“You’re a lifesaver.” Julie laughed as her dad made his way to the door.

“Oh and boys,” his hand hovered over the door handle looking to them, “thank you.” He closed the doors behind him as he left.

He didn’t have to say what specifically but they already knew, well at least had a perfect guess. As the doors closed the low beat stopped as the boys stopped playing.

“I think that went well.” Alex said putting down his sticks.

“All things considered.” Reggie agreed.

“I didn’t get murdered so I classify that as a win.”

“...but you can’t-”

“You know what I mean.” Luke sighed cutting Reggie off.

“Yeah...” Julie turned behind her to face them, “I’d say that went better than expected.”

“...Is he normally like that whenever he sees you holding hands with anyone?” Luke asked to make himself feel better.

He noticed her head drop, “...I don’t know.”

“What do you mean you don’t-”

“This is kinda the first time that it’s happened.”

“Oh, well I just assumed that it would have happened before considering how you’re-”

A loud sigh was heard from Alex.

“Alright, alright,” Luke stopped himself, “I won’t go on one of my ‘speeches’ as you call it. Like you don’t go on speeches about Willie?”

“That’s different. You guys ask about him.”

Reggie and her smiled at the two bickering. Eventually their banter would stop as they teased each other maybe then her and Luke could get back to working on a song.

When Luke walked her to her door later that night, it was different. The two talked and shared a laugh like they normally did.

“Come on,” they looked and saw a new sight, Ray at the front door, “you’ll see him tomorrow and your aunt’s eating with us tonight. Come in before she sees you laughing at air.”

She gave a final smile to the air and went to the open front door, leaning her back against it after she shut it. This was something that would take some time to adjust to, but she would. If he had to learn how to adjust to finding out the truth of her band then she could get used to him knowing. She could and she would.
