it's not that dean didn't have game, it seemed to be that dean had too much game. you didn't like when he leaned against the doorframe you were in, posing in that way that girls liked; ankles crossed, arms crossed, head tilted down to look at you. you didn't like the arm stretch pose over the top of the doorframe either. if he wasn't so attuned to how your face lit up in a blush when he was around, he would have been convinced that you just hated doors or something.

but no, you could talk to your friends just fine, it was just─ him. which is a hard pill to swallow in of itself, but some truths just couldn't be changed.

he'd make effort too, you know. really, desperately, lay it on thick to play the nice guy, the boy next door you seemed to want. it was hard, since that was the role he'd worked so damn hard to break out of, but he'd do it. there was something about the chase that had him coming back to you, even though the game wasn't nearly as fun for you.

dean didn't think, really, was the main point. didn't think about how intense this must have been for you, didn't think about the possibility of you just ─ not liking him back? didn't think at all.

he's outside your dorm to walk you to class. a habit for him, and an irritation for you. you never could get yourself to argue with him about it, though, the words always lodged in your throat. how did you, politely, tell a football guy to get fucked? he'd take it some other way. you knew football guys, and specifically, knew this one.

dean snatches your backpack from your arms before you can shrug it on, carrying it in front of him like a little purse. maybe, you kept him around for that, too. schoolbooks were heavy, okay?

but it's the little twitch in his mouth that seems to break you. "can you just... find someone else already?" you've come to know that smile as his only preliminary warning before he says something that burns your cheeks red and almost makes you believe that this pursuit is genuine, and not just to get in your pants.

dangerous smile. those dimples could just about make anyone's panties drop ─ you'd know, you were a self proclaimed part of that statistic.

dean actually looks taken aback, slowing his steps, and you'd almost feel relieved if you didn't feel so sick that you'd hurt his feelings. and, he had your backpack, so now it was awkward. now you'd have to snatch it back before you could scramble away.

"find someone else?"

in his head, he was breaking down your walls. slowly, but surely. and here was this painstaking reminder that every wall he broke was just replaced by another.

you stare at him for a long few seconds, the halls of your building thankfully empty, except for the two of you and every question hanging in the balance.

"i don't want someone else, sweet girl," he says, his face contorted in a wince like he actually was hurt by the suggestion at all. you recoil, too, but you don't back down. quiet as hell but a viper when you had to be. backed into this conversational corner, you had to be. "hell, you think i've been chasin' you around this whole damn campus because i'm waitin' to get bored of it and start somewhere else?"

he acts like it's an unreasonable suggestion. boys like him didn't go for the girls in the bleachers. boys like him liked short skirts and pom poms. at least, that's what the movies taught you. what was he going to do next, take off your glasses and tell you that you really were beautiful, who would have guessed?

when you don't answer, dean seems to shrink back a little. he shrugs his shoulders to adjust his backpack on his back, and yours that, at some point in these ticking minutes, he had slipped on his front. "believe me, honey, this is torturous for me, too."

"torturous?" you shake your head, internally wincing at how, of all of what he said, that was the thing you latched onto. "so go find─"

"someone else. i heard you the first time." dean shakes his head, clicking his tongue after another strenuous break of silence. "it's torturous," he says slower now, like you're the one who needs to be talked in gentle words to, not him, who's seen more concussions than he's seen his family, "because you are a breath away, and yet you are so damned determined to keep that breath between us. because you seem so weary, and strung up, like at any moment, i'm gonna pull the rug away and tell you that this was some joke, and you're gonna fall on your ass and feel awful."

well. it's not like he was wrong. but now the embarrassment is worn so prominently in the pink of your face, and those awful feelings he brought up are right there, if only because you'd been so convinced that he was a terrible guy without having any sort of evidence to back it up.

dean takes a step forward, not like approaching a wounded animal but rather like he's approaching a feral beast determined to snap at his fingers. "all i want," he breathes, shaking his head, palms up in some miniscule effort of surrender, "is to buy you a coffee."

"coffee," you echo back to him. you can't help it. you glance at his double backpack situation and you have to press your mouth together to keep from laughing. maybe dean wasn't lying about this, or everything else. would someone really willingly make themselves look so silly just to keep up a ruse?

dean nods. "coffee," he says, and he notices, of course he notices, that dazzling smile of yours. he's a strong man, but he can be made into something so weak with nothing but a pair of lips and glimmering eyes. "coffee yes?"

"you have class in ten minutes."

a shrug. two backpacks lift and fall. "conveniently, i've forgotten for the next forty five minutes about that class. whoops."

you have to look away. his eyes are so earnest and he is so surprisingly silly when he's not spouting cheesy pickup lines and doing stupid poses in doorframes that you almost cannot handle to face the full onslaught of his expression. again, he asks, "coffee yes?"

you huff out a laugh. what did you have to lose, really? you'd been planning to drown in classwork for a while at the library. coffee would definitely be needed to survive that.

with an exaggerated sigh, you manage to stutter out a, "coffee yes," if only so you could see that smile on his mouth again. you were weak, too, in that regard.

and so you got coffee with the football boy, and again the next day, and suddenly it wasn't such a scary thought to hold the football boy's hand.

tell me about ian and aleksei i love them

I love them. sm. Their dynamic is everything to me. They were literally created by a random number generator but then I started thinking abt them and got invested from like, 2 things:

1. I hc Ian as a massive nerd. Ik the whole explanation in canon for his thing with the cyclone stadium was like “oh I’ve battled in this stadium so much that I just know how it works like second nature now” but like. you have an internal clock that is literally precise down to the exact SECOND for how this stadium functions to the degree that it has become YOUR SPECIFIC BRAND and no one else’s? and you have a bey that is themed around that specifically? yeah you’re a fucking dweeb I’m sorry. I like to think that he was around when the stadium was being built and learned about it as it was being developed as well, and that kind of kickstarted an interest in engineering and technology in him. I also hc that he custom designed and made cyclone herculeo himself, and I think it’s technically kinda canon/implied that he handles a lot of the bey mechanics and training for DNA in the future (and I also hc that he mainly designed those beys as well). And then that led to the thought process of like, aleksei is also a massive nerd. he knows science and technology things. we already know he canonically flirts via sick science facts. Who’s to say he can’t do it again with Ian?

2. And then i was also thinking like, well yk what the garcias are all about? cheating and trickery to achieve their goals by any means necessary. Team lovushka weren’t necessarily doing all that cheating and trickery against gan gan galaxy of their own entire free will, but I think the garcias would definitely take an interest in that. I do think that when they meet, Ian is like mildly disappointed to find out that it wasn’t entirely their whole idea and plan, but it doesn’t make him lose too much respect for aleksei.

It was those two thoughts that made me think that I could like realistically see them bonding and getting along with each other and having some chemistry, and it all kinda just spiraled from there. I like their dynamic because I could see them being really sweet and affectionate with each other but also having a lot of banter and back and forth. I think Ian (as with the other garcias) would be kind of used to having people be nervous or intimidated around him given their reputation, but I don’t think it would faze aleksei all that much and I think Ian would find that pleasantly surprising and kind of refreshing. I just really like them having a really mutual relationship they make me happy. I also like to think both of them can be pretty flirty with each other under the right circumstances and it’s very fun bc both of them can play off of each other and build on it relatively effortlessly, but I like to think that Ian has a lot more quiet internal moments of “ogh my god I need him” but refuses to let that show. They’re both dorks I love them a lot

I think their dynamics with the others team are really fun as well. The garcias for any of them are really protective in general and any potential partner of any of the siblings will all have to go through many trials of intimidation and being interrogated to see if they’re good enough, and aleksei is absolutely no different. I think they would be able to catch him a little off guard occasionally, but for the most part he’s pretty good at keeping his cool around the other garcias. It doesn’t take long for them to warm up to him, I think. I also think it then doesn’t take long for them to start making fun of Ian for it and being all stupid and teasing him, which is very fun.

On the other end, I think it’s a given that Ian and nowaguma probably aren’t having many interactions, but Ian and Lera however. Lera is VERY protective of aleksei and being the little barking chihuahua of a person that she is, wastes NO time in giving Ian the whole “if you ever hurt him I will hurt you” schpiel. Ian, for his part, actually respects her guts and it very quickly turns into them being worsties. They will be at each others throats any time they’re around each other and constantly bicker and fight with each other but when the other’s not around they’re like “oh yeah no they’re the best I love that guy.” Aleksei does not know if this is a good or a bad thing.

Another hc I have with them that I’m quite fond of is that they r both transfem to me. Ian is bigender and Aleksei is nonbinary and both of them are cool with any gendered terms, but specifically I like to think that Ian quietly gets really giddy when people use fem terms for him. any time he hears Aleksei call him his girlfriend he’s like “omg I’m his girllllfrienddddd heheheheh :>>>>” idk man they’re dorks I like them I like them being silly and in love <3

Alr, I've been thinking again about my Flower Husbands reicarnation (?) idea.

Scott has been always a flirty person, but especially with Jimmy, he's fun to tease. But like, I imagine that S1 Scott when he gets his memories in S2, he like kind of, isn't himself anymore towards Jimmy. His flirts wouldn't be just teasing anymore but genuine and kind of soft and sweet flirting, basically appreciation towards the guy.

But Jimmy obviously would be suspicious as heck. No one in Empires actually appreciates him, so he would be so suspicious of Scott and try to like to push him away. Especially since for him, it all came out of nowhere. Tho at the same time, he would be desperate for allies, and want his attention bc he lacks it.

At the same time, Scott definitely would give off like faraway feeling, or when he looks at Jimmy like he was a dead man (for Scott he is, but he obv wouldn't know that). I just imagine Jimmy thinking that Scott looks lonely and the both of them would just feel awkward around each other as well bc there's just something unsaid from Scotts side.

I also was thinking that Sausage might realize the fact that S1 and S2 Scott are now the same person, but I heavily doubt Scott would want any help from the guy. S1 Scott obv didn't have a good relationship with him in his own timeline. So I kinda think that Scott would be VERY wary of the guy. Especially when he notices that Sausage also teasing Jimmy with the toy joke. Kinda like a "history repeats itself" kinda vibe. Scott would feel that way at least.

Since it is also heavily implied that Fwhip and Jimmy we're in some kind of queer relationship (for example Jimmy calling Fwhip his ex), I feel like Scott would start to rethink some of the past events as well. Fwhip in S1 really did a lot of mischief, especially directed toward Jimmy, which feels like he just wanted the guy attention.

Hi! I read that post about Ohm/Nanon and the uneasiness you are feeling about the Pat/Pran episodes. Could you fill me in? What happened between them? I am also a huge bad buddy fan. I also have high hopes for the bb episodes of Our Skyy 2. Reading your post made me a tiny bit worried. Thanks!

First up; I'm sorry for making you worry! Nothing is official and it's best to just wait till the episodes come out and be happy or angry then. The worrying before is always such a pain..

But to answer your question:

Idk how much you know about Ohmnanon but they were really good friends even before bbs and also after bbs you could often see them hanging out (it was even a meme that they see each other literally everyday) and it was all nice and fun. When you had the bbs boxset or watched P'Aofs reaction videos you could hear/ see how many scenes they actually improvised since they just knew Patpran perfectly (for example the whole phone call scene, the breakfast in bed scene, the scene where Pat stood behind Pran to play the instrument, the kisses when they officially got together, Ohms tear during the Ep 5 kiss; the way Ohm played Pat in general - Pat wasn't supposed to be in love with Pran right from the start subconsciously, it was Ohm who said he couldn't play Pat NOT in love with Pran, which is why you can see Pat being so flirty and staring at Pran so much even before they got together [the best example is the bus stop scene for that.] The list could go on but I'm gonna stop it here). During the bts you could also see how comfortable Ohmnanon were with each other, they were always kissing or hugging or playing with one another; so it got clear how they managed to get their characters dynamic so good.

And now.. well. Our Skyy 2 is supposed to be filmed now. And Ohmnanon are, let's say, not well. In the beginning of this year Ohm had a scandal (which I won't explain further right now) and it changed a lot of stuff. The fandom changed, picked sides. Many didn't want to support Ohm any longer and also didn't want Nanon to still be associated with Ohm. I would say this was the time everything changed.. The fandom turned into the ones who stayed with Ohm and the ones who stayed with Nanon and somehow every 2 business days they argue. It's a lot about protection I think and everyone feeling like their bias doesn't get as much love as the other (very kpop like). An example would be during Hi-Touch: both Ohm and Nanon had a fan ignore them during a hi-touch. And both times the stans accused the other of being at fault, threw hate towards the one who didn't get ignored or said stuff like "if it were the other way around.." which was bs, since both happened and fans reacted the same way but yeah; that's kinda how the fandom got.

And to top it all off; Ohmnanon stopped interacting. They grew very distant towards one another. Atp they don't even look at each other. They definitely don't interact. During lives they only talk to the interviewer or ppl behind the camera, never even towards one another. They don't whisper or hug or whatever else like they did before. You never see them together anymore, if they are at the same location they won't be with one another; instead they'll be with others or alone even. I think the biggest "official" indicator that everything DEFINITELY changed and isn't just paranoia was Nanons birthday wish to Ohm in march. The last 4 years (? I'm not quite sure if its 3 or 4 yrs) Ohm always got a feed post with hbd wishes and all that. This year Nanon was the only one from all GMMTV colleagues who just reposted the official GMMTV birthday wish in his story to congratulate Ohm. Everyone else posted a private pic from Ohm, a pic with Ohm or at least a pic Ohm himself made and posted; So Nanon really stood out with the official GMMTV wish, especially since he never did that with others either. And we all know how many pics ON have together bc of the whole cp thing.. so it was weird. Aka after that, many fans got the message that ON definitely are not like before; you could already see it but that was one of the things that officially kinda sealed the deal? Since it was such a drastic change to before.

Why everything changed; nobody knows. It just gets clearer that the ON cp is definitely breaking up. Maybe they had a fight. Maybe it has to do with the scandal. Maybe it's fake. Some people say it's gmmtvs stragegy to break up cps who don't wanna do another bl together and to do that they shouldn't interact publicly. But they're all just theories. What actually happened is between ON but it's still heartbreaking to see.

And with everything changing so drastically I get a little scared about the OurSkyy 2 Episodes haha.

PLUS; It seems like they want to do a mash up with ATOTS which is quite devastating.

Honestly if you're looking to get out of your shell and get intimate with other queer folk, I would recommend Grindr-

BUT he does like her, maybe not a full-on crush, but he does find her cute and has flirted with her once or twice. he calls her "Lady Luck" bc of her devil fruit abilities.

sanji <- she was a little overwhelmed (flustered) when they first met bc of his flirty nature, but over time, she realized that's just how he is and got used to it. now they're close friends. she helps him cook/bake (really, he teaches her how to cook/bake) she's better at baking, or at least she finds it more fun. he also helps her flirt (aka they throw bad pick-up lines off of each other and see which ones are the worst)

zoro <- nap buddy. he lets her watch him work out bc he enjoys her quiet. also occasionally tries to get her to work out with him (she hates it) the second person who started calling her "Snake Eyes" (well, technically the first) bc of her devil fruit abilities. he brought her to a bar once where after a few drinks he decided to try his luck at some card game. he kept losing. 100% blames her devil fruit abilities bc he's not THAT bad. it's a 50/50 chance whether or not he's actually that bad or it was her devil fruit abilities. he started calling her "Snake Eyes" after that incident tho.

ohmigosh, your sims are all adorable!! and i love their stories so much :) i used to lovingly tolerate 3 bc i had a pretty low-spec computer so it was very laggy, but now i have an actual gaming laptop and 3 isn't compatible anymore, so i play 4 all the time. i've also got a ton of mods (99% clothing and hair bc i'm addicted to dressing my sims up), including the ones you mentioned - they're such a big help when it comes to gameplay, i love them <3

thank you!! <33 haha yeah i remember sims 3 was SO laggy and took like 20 minutes for me to boot up every time, i still have a subconscious mindset of "okay, once i load up sims i can't exit out of the game until i'm fully 100% done playing for the day because it's not worth trying to load it twice in one day" even though 4 only takes a couple minutes to load. and i totally feel you, dressing my sims up is one of my top favorite parts of the game, and there's so much amazing cc out there!

oh, i just realised i forgot to answer your question: i'm an aging on simmer, but i think i might turn it off bc i too prefer just starting up new households rather than going through generations. i am very much an autonomy off girlie, though; i tried leaving it on, but the control freak in me likes micromanagement too much 😅 this is my last one, i promise: can you tell me if having autonomy on makes storytelling more interesting? i pick a bunch of traits that should make my sims more/less compatible, but for some reason they don't react to things the way i want them to (then again some of the traits are modded ones rather than base game ones so that might be partly the reason, they don't always seem to have an effect on sim behaviour)

you should give aging off a shot to see how you like it! i like my current system of having aging off in one save file and aging on in a different one so i can have it both ways and do my legacy challenge properly without messing with my rotational freeplay households. when i have aging off i do still age up my sims using a birthday cake, but i just do it whenever i feel like they're ready for the next life stage rather than the game having a set day that's their birthday. so it can get kinda weird if my sim is going to high school with the same teens her mom went to high school with because i aged their household up manually but everyone else is immortal djkfg but i don't usually last more than 2 generations in a single family so for me it's not much of an issue!

and i SO know what you mean about liking micromanagement too much haha i definitely still micromanage my sims even with autonomy on! so in that respect it can be challenging if you're constantly trying to stop them from doing things you don't want them to do. i like it especially for large households because if i can't keep track of everybody, having autonomy on will make them eat on their own when they get hungry etc whereas i believe if it's off they'll just die unless i specifically tell them to eat. as for whether it makes storytelling more interesting, yes and no, i also feel like traits don't have a huge effect on storytelling and autonomy on doesn't really change that too much, i don't think (besides a couple, like goofball sims keep trying to prank toilets with autonomy on, romantic sims are more likely to autonomously flirt, and i'm guessing mean or evil sims would keep being autonomously mean, but i never make mean or evil sims because i'm too soft haha).

i think social interactions are the area where autonomy on most spices up gameplay because your sim might randomly flirt with or be mean to someone you didn't expect them to (especially if they're in certain moods, being in a flirty mood makes them extra likely to autonomously flirt with someone and being in an angry mood makes them extra likely to autonomously be mean). this can be a fun way to throw in some curveballs, or it can also be infuriating if your sim decides to flirt with some rando right in front of their spouse and now the whole marriage is in shambles djkfg i would say if you're thinking of testing out autonomy on, maybe give it a go with a 1-2 sim household to start so that you can get a sense for what autonomy on is like, but it's a small enough household that it's easy to keep an eye on everybody and prevent them from going too off the rails!

He covers a shift as the beverage cart driver one day because Essie is sick and fucking *loves it*

Putting around the course and flirting with everyone while pouring drinks and getting a tan???? Yes please???

He is the ladies night favorite. He’s a flatterer and a gossip and they all fucking adore him. They request him for retirement parties and bridge nights and tournaments and tip him *heavily*.

Geralt is a newer member and only joined because his law firm has weekly ‘strategy meetings’ out on the course. Turns out he really likes golf and picked it up quickly so he’s out there all the fucking time.

He takes his game very seriously. Like stupid serious. They boy is so fuckin precise and competitive and he gets teased endlessly for it. 

Guy’s night usually ends with him gritting his teeth so hard Jaskier is sure his jaw would crack if he were a mere mortal.

Jask intentionally makes Geralt’s drink last next time the group mobs the bev cart (bc thats what golfers do my friends). The whole time he’s mixing it he’s trying to think of a way to hit on him that isn’t just ‘fuck you’re so hot’

And it makes Geralt *blush* and Jask is so proud of himself he almost drives right into one of his buddies’ carts. (and giddy. He’s very giddy)
