Just in general I think trying to look to pre-late modern period history for validation of LGBT+ identities is an absolutely useless venture. Every single underlying human experience defined through the lens and framework of LGBT identity has always existed, but it's impossible to pin down Exactly who and what a figure might have been if they existed in this contemporary context and decided to self identify via these labels.

It's also a wildly reductive lens that flattens the complexity and variety of how sex and gender has been constructed across time in different cultures, how sexual norms have varied, etc. This is not a constructive approach to learn about history and you're never going to be able to fit historical figures neatly into little identity categories.

Nico can already summon the dead! He doesn't need a special object for it! Literally IN THE SCENE WHERE THEY GET THE SCEPTER, NICO RAISES THE DEAD. HE'S NOT WEAK ENOUGH THAT HE CAN'T! Hazel meanwhile has never raised the dead before (kind of - she did a little bit like once)! Theoretically she's fully capable of it but she's never properly tried it before! Giving her an object to help facilitate practicing with that would be perfect, especially given the scepter expires after a certain number of uses! Also, since Hazel ends up a praetor in TOA anyways, there's no reason why she shouldn't get promoted to be able to use the scepter all on her own! In fact her getting promoted in the House of Hades would be the perfect place to do so because it's a scene where she's taking the lead and saving everyone else! In fact it's a significantly better place to promote her to praetor over the scene where she ACTUALLY gets promoted! And even if you don't have Hazel promoted instead, then you'd still have it be Hazel and Frank working together to command the armies of the undead, which is perfect because they're a couple and it'd be a great way to show how well they work together!!!!!

LITERALLY THERE IS NO REASON TO NOT GIVE IT TO HAZEL. WHAT'S THE DEAL.

Err, no it isn't? A game supposedly in the same genre, made by a studio with experience in that genre, produced around the same time. How is that unfair? I love BG3 but Larian isn't reinventing the wheel. It's building on what works in this genre and (gasps) improving on criticism it got on its previous games.

While all different, they all contain elements Bioware gutted out of Dragon Age: The Veilguard (like a good snappy title), to reach a younger broader new audience. These titles didn't gut themselves and were highly successful on every metric. And they all came out between DAI and DAV, so Bioware could have learned from that.

Especially as they already tried to dumped down, simplified approach with Andromeda and most people weren't happy with that either.

One of my tokyo revengers headcanons is that after emma died, mikey took all of emmas stuffed animals and dolls and blankets and pillows and clothes. And he put them in his new room. Whether or not that room is the one on sano property or wherever he lived after he lost to izana and kisaki. I think he took them bcause he wants to feels emmas presence, and because he feels bad for all those items, without an owner or family, left all alone.

It's already canon that Mikey grew up surrounded by his older brothers belongings in his room after Shinichiro died, so it makes sense for emmas belongings too. Especially the pink bear draken got her. Mikey would totally have that. And mikey is already extremely attached to the belongings of his dead loved ones, such as his Babu and bajis charm, so I think he has a momento of emma that he keeps with him always, in every future timeline. Because in every future timeline except the last one, emma is dead. And mikey was left alone. So now the only things that could comfort mikey, having lost his matching partner, are her old belongings. And only mikey can comfort those belongings, after they were left behind by their parted old owner.

just watched the wwdits ep finally and god i wanna hug laszlo so badly my darling boy 😭😭 not him having to confront his dad again and talking about how awful and abusive he was while everyone was being charmed by him and then laszlo actually thinking for a moment maybe he should give him a second chance (and crying??? killed me) and his dad just proving again how shitty and untrustworthy he obviously was. and also all the bits with colin seeing rodrick as a father figure and not remembering laszlo raising him and laszlo just snapping. and comforting him in the end of the ep too. he loves him :(( they really said we're not giving him (or me) a break huh 😭
