calling him "stuck" was mostly a joke (and I don't think he's really a floating little ghostie or anything, more like...just some kind of remnant?) but when he showed up at the end of chapter 5, I read it as his spirit being in/attached somehow to the ring, and I think the implication was meant to be that he (or what was left of him) was the one guiding Silver through Lilia's memories. that may be leaning a little too hard into my personal interpretation, but that's what I thought we were supposed to get out of it! 🤷

(now watch as they turn directly to the camera in the next update to explain that I've misunderstood everything and the ring is really a tiny little robot that we all must shrink down into to pilot) (which would actually be amazing, can we have that please)

Hell yes, I am a horror movie junkie and Midsommar is a fantastic modern folk horror film. Big fan of Florence Pugh, too.

I think cringe is generated when you see yourself reflected in something, and then ask how an unfair person would judge that thing. What part of your practice might be reflected in Midsommar? What inspiration could you take?

Just as fear gatekeeps power*, perhaps cringe gatekeeps inspiration. I think it's good to see things that make you cringe about your path. That means your path isn't locked away in an ivory tower. It's out there, around us.

And the cringekeeper lets us know every time we stumble onto its tracks, like a rasping raven asking us to track witchcraft's hoofprints left in the loamy soil of popular culture, beckoning us to open the carcass so that feeding may begin.

If you want some advice, you've got to own it. Put on the silly-tinted glasses where things seem silly, and every faith seems silly. You can never have a practice serious enough to not seem silly when you wear the glasses. But that's alright. It's alright if it's silly.

Taking your path seriously is not the same as taking it somberly. Gravitas is not authenticity. Accidentally switching over to silly mode has no ability to degrade your path. Switching to silliness mode is like suddenly being in control of your own breathing: it's all the same, nothing is wrong. But it sure is awkward.

It's silly. It's silly cultists, dancing in their silly little white outfits and their oversaturated flower crowns. Wouldn't it be silly if we were like that?

And then eat them.

An interesting little fun thing with team 7 is that you assume that Sakura's gonna, like, woobify and simplify Sasuke by putting him on a pedastal,cause her goal is centered around him and shes a 12 y/o fangirl so like of course her understanding of him is skewed cause she doesnt see him as a person, just an object of affection, right? She's can't get Sasuke, can't imprint on and/or traumabond with him like Naruto and Kakashi do. They don't see him with rose tinted glasses, because they've lived through their own Horrors and empathize with Sasuke's experience.

WRONG lmao!! They have too many ghosts!! Naruto's single-minded codependent ass won't get out of his own way long enough to see Sasuke for who he actually is, only able to empathize with the parts of his trauma Naruto relates to and not really capable of understanding him outside of the context of himself (because Sasuke is. His other half). And Kakashi is far too jaded to be fair to him!! He can't decide if Sasuke is gonna end up as a mini-him or a mini-Obito or maybe a mini-Itachi, but either way he ALSO is too traumatized to see Sasuke AS SASUKE.

meanehile SAKURA'S autistic ass may have dogshit empathy, but you know what she does have? A special interest in sasuke. Nothing better to do then give herself a degree in Uchihaisms. I feel like atp I barely care for the canon cartoon at all, I just have a very strong fixation on Flug. I should really mention that. I have given up trying to stay in-character and basically use him like my OC. I would LIKE to move on and not be in fandom spaces anymore but sadly my autism does not let me. my brain just refuses; kicking and screaming; to be interested in a single other thing on earth than Flug since nearly 8 years.

it's insanity.

I have no NOTP or disliked dynamic, I will consume anything. paperlizard is cute. but it's a combination of me not being interested enough and others also not being interested enough so I feel it is not worth it to make this content rn. the fandom is ultra turbo dead.

I don't want massive attention -godspeed I don't- but an artist that doesn't get any response is a demotivated one. I know no one who is interested (enough) in these characters.

I would never make fanart of those characters alone¹, I couldn't get my unmedicated ADHD to focus on smth my heart doesn't 110% want to do from pure passion. I take no commissions, I don't draw for money.
