The plan was set and the game had begun.

There was a meeting on the Watchtower exactly three days after the Bat Clan had decided to mess with the Justice League, so that's when they planned to set everything in motion.

Robin couldn't be at the meeting because it fell during school hours, so Nightwing had come to the meeting with Batman. He'd already had the day off, so it wasn't too much of a hasel. Red Hood and Red Robin had both wanted to come, but they also had civilian duties to take care of.

When the meeting was over, the 'main leaguers', as many others had dubbed them, stayed behind as they always did. Normally, it was just so they all could catch up, sometimes to arrange another meeting, or even to discuss more sensitive topics.

This time, when everyone but Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg, and Nightwing had left the room, Nightwing threw his arm across Batman's shoulders and said "You all should come to the Cave!"

All conversation stopped as everyone turned to look at the black and blue clad vigilante. For a long moment, no one spoke or moved. Then, Batman nodded.

"Perfect!" Nightwing's smile got even bigger.

"Um," Superman, the sweet midwesterner, flicked his eyes over to Batman's face before looking at Nightwing. "Are you sure? Bat's has never let any of us into Gotham, let alone the Bat Cave."

Nightwing winked at the hero, his domino mask not hiding it, "Yeah, well, me and the others managed to wear him down. Besides, we've all wanted to give you guys a tour! We've been to all your secret hideouts, so we figured it's about time you saw ours!"

"I'm sorry," Green Lantern raised his hand slightly, "'Others'?"

Nightwing blinked, his smile dropping. Batman straightened up. "Did you-" Nightwing cut himself off, "You do know how many of us there are in Gotham, right?"

The heroes all looked at one another. Sure, they'd heard that there was two, maybe three, working with Batman, but nothing had ever been confirmed aside from Robin working with Batman and Nightwing working in Bludhaven.

Batman fought very hard to keep a smirk off his face. Nightwing didn't even try to hide his amusement.

Wonder Woman was the one to ask, "There are rumors, but I can't say any of us know exactly how many heroes work within Gotham City limits."

Nightwing and Batman shared a glance. This added so much more to their game. They had to tell the others! This was already so much fun, but it was about to get so much better!

"Then, I guess you all have no choice but to come to the Cave with us so you can meet everyone!" Nightwing exclaimed.

The eight heroes shared looks with one another before looking back at Batman and Nightwing. Their choice was obvious to the two Bats before the group had even decided.

"Alright," Aquaman said, "When would you like us to stop by?"

Right on script. Batman said, "Meet here tomorrow at fifteen-hundred New Jersey time. We'll be here to bring you down to the Cave." Then, he left, Nightwing trailing behind him.

"Cool," Flash nodded, "Cool, cool. Totally not nerve wracking at all."

Cyborg stood from his seat. "Don't be nervous, Flash. We're actually being allowed in Gotham. Batman doesn't let anyone in Gotham."

"No," Green Arrow said, "He doesn't let anyone operate in Gotham. I've been many times."

"As Green Arrow or as a civilian?"

He fell silent and the others all laughed. He joined them.

"Regardless," Martian Manhunter said, "I think it's good he's allowing us to see his main base of operations."

"Yeah," agreed Superman, "I wonder what it'll be like."

Wonder Woman was the next to stand from her seat. "It will be quite the tour, I'm sure."

i made a post before (like a month ago) that im not linking bc im lazy and it's midnight its abt a hamburr au im making this quick

this is a burr-centric story

this story relies a lot on undertale because uh, that fandom revived itself into my brain and i can't get rid of it

burr is essentially frisk. he doesn't really know that yet though. obviously, im not making him choose mercy, violence etc.

the only thing that will be undertale related is the reset button.

Burr shoots hamilton in the first round (?). And regrets it.

He finds a glowing light. a button with the word "RESET" on it.

If it was truly what burr thinks it is, he clicks it.

And we are back to when he meets hamilton for the first time. The thing is, burr doesn't manage to change hamilton's fate after 5 resets.

The thing though, like in the game, hamilton is aware of these resets, but plays along for his own sake. Burr isn't. At least he's not as aware until the duel. Hamilton persists even after three resets.

To meet Burr.

Again and again.

Every reset, he's sure Burr will finally maybe change his mind, maybe it would different. Even after getting shot three times he still trusts him to change it the next reset.

Burr goes through the five stages of grief (which are The Five Resets)

On the 6th reset, something happened.

It's the duel day, once again. Burr and Alexander are face to face one last time before going on about this reckless loophole. Burr feels empty. He stares at Alexanders glasses, where his reflection lies. It was silent for a moment.

"You don't need to keep doing this."

"What?"

Alexander turns around and waits for the duel to commence.

Burr is left there, perplexed.

We need a Wonderlandian word for Princess! Help me out...

As someone who loves the idea of there being a Wonderlandian language (or at the very least, a pseudo-language) that they speak in throughout the Underland, I think there needs to be a word for "princess".

I mean, just think about it---Red is always calling Chloe 'princess' and 'boo', so Chloe needs something to call her as well! And I mean, I know Bridget's title 'Queen of Hearts' is more an ode to her whole cards theme, and she's actually the Empress of Wonderland. While that would make Red an heiress more than a princess, I still think there would a word for it! Plus, Ella might have called Bridget by this term at some point, so it can be used in that way too.

If you look below the cut, there's a few words I've collected (some are canon within the Alice In Wonderland world, others are my own ideas which you can feel free to nab and use yourself). Use those as inspiration and use those beautiful brains so we can think of something cute for Chloe to use to refer to Red as!

Today I saw sunshine and for a brief moment I remembered what it was like to be happy—to be in the middle of writing something, and the way it feels like spring in my soul. I ached for a minute....but it was a good ache.

Lately I've been having trouble with joy.

Nothing feels good and hasn't for months. I have lost interest in everything. I've barely made any playlists, I am too impatient to listen to music all the way through and don't feel the intense need to listen to any particular song. I no longer listen to music when I shower or do the dishes. New music Friday has just been a thing I do instead of the highlight of my week, and I haven't wanted to go to any concerts—they sound like a lot of work right now, and I'm so tired.

I haven't wanted to watch TV or movies. I haven't been able to go for walks because of a foot injury. I haven't been interested in hockey or in dark shame otp. I physically haven't been able to write, there is no spark and my brain feels dead. I haven't made a note in my notes app for ages, I have opened my personal computer twice since the end of February.

My health has been bad. I've been getting sick over and over. Yesterday I fucking chipped my tooth.

The only thing I've felt like doing lately is reading fic, but even that is difficult and I have trouble deciding what to read so just end up scrolling tiktok for hours. Reading a physical book sounds like it would take too much energy.

I feel like a bear with a burr in its paw, mean and whiny. I feel like I'm being dragged through molasses. It's all I can do to get to the office twice a week and to my various appointments. This isn't even starting on financial problems or commenting on the state of the world, how dire absolutely everything feels right now, and how sad being in this fandom sometimes makes me.

What I'm saying is, I haven't been myself lately. I've been deep in the trenches, sinking, sinking, sinking.

But today I felt the sun and for the first time in a long time thought, maybe it will be okay.

Maybe spring will return to my soul, and I'll feel real again.
